According to "People en español" (12/24/24), after "El precio de amarte" finishes its run, Univision will be showing only TWO telenovelas a night in the 8 EST and 9 EST time slots. As of 1/14/25, the 10 EST time slot will be occupied by a new true crime show entitled "Código de investigación."

El Angel de Aurora #78
Part 1 of 3
Jezabel lectured Pintas that he could not leave the apartment. He was to shut up and listen. She forced him to sit down and then threw money at him. Four bundles of banknotes that burst as they landed. He was to leave Mexico eventually, first to Panama. If he didn't the police would get him soon. He said that if they did he would not go down alone because he would not remain silent. She told him that it was in both their interests for him to leave Mexico. She would send him more money.
Angel and his two fathers walked away from the grave as Aurora, Helena, and JC approached with flowers. Angel was not planning to tell Anita just yet. Aurora apologized for not having seen him the night before; he told her not to worry. Helena told him what had happened the night before in the barrio. JC asked why Pintas wanted to kill him.
Briana handed Demon the file on Romualdo/Pintas that Jezabel made her create. He pretended to know nothing. She knew that “Romualdo” was beiing sought by police. She asked him what his mother had to do with him. He told her to shut up about this. In exchange for her silence she asked for his help in getting out so she could marry Angel. [Delusions do not die easily].
Aurora asked Angel if he was alright. He said he was. Helena asked to talk to him. Antonio and Pascual walked away, then JC and Aurora left them alone.
Briana said they should not be dragged off because of whatever Jezabel was hiding. Demon continued to pretend to know nothing and suggested she talk to his mother.
Helena apologized to Angel, saying that despite his actions she could not be cruel; she still loved him but he said everything is different now. She realized that Pintas was after him and hoped that all hurts were healed. He said that she turned her back on the barrio and his people for the rich [and shameless]. She understood his feelings. There was no reconciliation, for now. She walked away.
Briana did not wat to deal with Jezabel. She made him an offer of help in exchange for his. They came close to a deal.
Pepe la Hierba knocked on Esperanza's door. She fainted. Aquiles, Glorio stood up but were not fast enough to catch her.
Patricia went to see Jezabel who said she had to empty the apartment. Now. She asked why and Jezabel said “Because I want you to receive your ticket to Hell as he deserves it”
Aurora, Helena, and JC stood at Vicki's grave. Aurora promised Vicki to take care of Angel. Helena silently made the same promise. JC understood but was concerned that this was a distraction from the search for Gabriel. JC pondered how Pintas was involved and asked about the construction worker list. Aurora wondered whether Pascual knew something.
To Patricia's chagrin, Jezabel told her she was not to ditch Pintas. Jezabel said she was to live with him as of that night. She was to get him drunk into unconsciousness. [You have to love the evil smile as she said this]. Patricia said she thought Jezabel was in charge. Jezabel said they would drown him. The police are looking for him and they both could be affected. Patricia said she felt cheao and asked when this happens. The answer was “Tonight.”

Esperanza came to and screamed. The guys held Pepe back.
Angel realized that this made Jezabel and Demon his relations. Pascual and Antonio started explaining to Angel that they were protecting him because he was the rightful heir to the Campero fortune. Angel did not see himself as being like the rich people. Angel was still denying that Aurora was his mother, saying his mother was dead and the Santos were his family. Pascual said to listen to Antonio who said that Aurora had greatly suffered,
Esperanza told the guys to throw Pepe out. She called them her sons, which cause Pepe to pass out,
Antonio explained that Aurora had looked desperately for him for 29 years. That Aurora was a good person and not responsible for what had happened. She had the right to know him and he should know the woman who gave him life. She had helped him when he most needed help and without knowing who he really was. She did not deserve his rejection. If anything happened to him she would die. “Are you prepared to lose another mother?”
Helena went home and told Demon she was at the police station about what happened in the barrio. He pressed further and she told him she had gone to Vicki's grave. Demon was not pleased.
Aurora said Angel was odd that day. JC said it was understandable in view of recent events. JC then told her that Pascual knew Pintas in Las Flores and they had worked on her father's house.
Demon accused Helena of wanting a fling with Angel and she said that yes, she is a married woman but has the right to talk to anyone she wanted to. She was fed up with his jealousies. He was about to close and lock the gate on this when Jezabel came in and took Helena aside to talk to her.
Aurora was getting up to get the list when JC tried to get her to eat with him and talk this out. He told her we was with her on everything. She admitted being obsessed with Angel and Helena. They hugged and kissed as Luis came out and commented. He then suggested they get a bigger house so they would have enough room.
Pascual told Angel that Antonio was right and he's got a lot to process all at once. Angel said all these other things are also happening and it was too much. Antonio said that he had a plan.
Luis could not get Jezabel on the phone while Angel told his fathers he was going to the church. Antonio was concerned about his security and Pascual told him to go now before it got too late. Angel nodded and hugged Antonio, thanking him for worrying about him.
Jezabel gave Helena a pair of Ultra-Villana black high heels [At least she has good taste] and a lecture about Demon's character. He had not changed, she said; he was the same as ever. He saw love as a spider web that envelopes until the victim can do nothing. Helena asked what that had to do with the shoes. Jezabel told her “Try them on. If they fit, they're yours. You should be able to walk in them without being trapped.” Helena saw this as a reference to Demon but Jezabel said “Also Aurora” adding that they were the spiders with traps. Helena didn't buy this. Jezabel then spoke of false faces and as she crouched down and put the shoes on Helena's feet she encouraged her to manipulate Aurora and Demon. “If you don't want to leave the city, don't do it. A married woman doesn't have to, not in these days.” She went on about Helena's strength and being made of stronger stuff.

Luis started asking JC for a loan for the business he wanted to start. This led to Luis explaining that Aquiles, Glorio, and he no longer work at Campero. The other guys were terminate when they accused Jezabel of causing Carlito's suicide. Aurora and JC looked at each other. She was incredulous but he looked intrigued at the seriousness of their accusation.
Helena told Jezabel she did not want to get involved in her differences with Demon. Jezabel pretended not to be bothered by this but advised her to not be afraid to be cruel “because that's the only way to survive.”
Pascial and Antonio talked. Pascual said he could not make himself say that if Pintas raped Aurors the possible consequence was too horrible. Antonio told him that he had to accept the possibility that Pintas was Angel's sperm donor.
Patricia pretended to want to be with Pintas while also playing hard to get. They sat on the loveseat and he tried to get jiggy. She stopped him and let him think it could happen later.
Pascual insisted that Angel is his son and that no one will take him away. They mentioned the death of El Morro and the attack. He then told Antonio that Jezabel knows about Angel's true identity because she paid him a visit with threats. Because of this Antonio said that Aurora had to find out ASAP and Angel had to be prepared for that. “It is the only way to protect him.”
Demon got the call saying that all was ready. He gave the order. Helena walked in as he finished to tell him he will not control her. He apologized to her, saying he has felt bad since his father's death. He put on a good act.
Angel prayed to the Virgen, confessing that the first time Aurora hugged him his heart knew. He felt like he was betraying Vicki and felt guilty so did not know what to do,
Antonio and Pascual continued. Antonio understood Angel's reaction to this but emphasized that although Angel was still in denial Aurora had to be told because Jezabel was very dangerous.
Jezabel left the house.

It's hard to tell what Jezabel is up to with Helena. I think Demon is looking to have her kidnapped and shanghaied to a location of his choice but I don't think he told Jezabel about this, as he does not trust her. Does she actually think she can make Helena into her mini-me or is she just looking for weakness?
I am also guessing that she is going to make things look like Patricia murders Pintas but it's still too early for him to meet his Karmageddon.

Thanks Urban, sometimes I don’t realize how much i missed. Never understand the shoes, and didn’t realize Helena told Angel she still loved him. I think Jezabel doesn’t want Demon to leave and figures Helena can convince him to stay.

Angel / Aurora
My apologies for current latenesses but recent episodes have such fast dialogue I can't catch it all on the "live" broadcast. There is a rebroadcast but it's after midnight and I have to get it On Demand at 6AM or whenever I get up. It doesn't appear on Vix.com any earlier.
Today's episode (#80) was interrupted with the Emergency Alert Test which messed up the audio in the pivotal scene. I will have to finish that one in the AM. Yesterday's episode will be posted here and today's might be if I can get up early enough.

Antonio and Pascual continued to disagree about the situation. Antonio pointed out that Jezabel was dangerous and Pintas her accomplice. They had to tell Aurora and form protection around Angel like bodyguards. Jezabel has been quiet but could attack at any moment.
Night
Teté told Briana Edgar was better but needed care. He didn't want her to stay so she asked Briana to do so. Briana agreed, saying that she wanted to get away from Jezebel but couldn't and was looking for Demon to help her. Teté showed Briana the lipstick, saying that Jezabel was hurting Edgar. All she had to do was to put that in Jezabel's purse.
Jezabel told Pascual she was concerned about Gabriel. He was obviously suspicious at this and her other questions. She offered him serious money to keep silent about Angel “until I can prepare my sister for the truth.” Pascual's expression did not change.
Antonio and Elvia saw Aurora and JC, who asked for the list. Aurora said it was to determine whether Pascual was involved with Pintas. JC said he knew that he knew the Santos family who dud not identify him as Romulaldo, so he didn't know whom he was talking about, Elvira said she should be the one to inform him.
Angel was at Esperanza's. They told him about Pepe and that she threw him out. [Do we really need this story now? I think not.]
Antonio told Aurora he had to go to meet with Helena over a project. He was not leaving Corporative Campero.
Jezabel prepared for her dirty work at Pintas (very temporary) digs while Patricia entered a swingers' bar with Pintas who boasted of lots of dinero and she of an “open mind” as the partner of an artist. [If they got away with that the whole clientele must be three sheets to the wind].
Aurora explained to Elvia why she needed the list. Elvia said the police had it and she did not have a copy. She offered that thanks to that list the police are looking for Juventino Macias. Aurora was sure Antonio would have a copy. Elvia suggested she ask Pascual directly.
Antonio talked on the phone with his secretary to make sure there would be journalists at Corporativo Campero at 11:30 in the morning.
Helena flashed back to her wedding day and Maggie's words about Angel. Demon came in and asked what was up. She wanted to see the video he showed to her on their wedding day. He tried to guilt-trip her over her possible distrust in him. He talked about putting the past behind them and all that jazz. He finally said he would show it to her.
Jezabel and Luis talked on the phone. He wanted to come over to her place through the garden and climb in through her window. She finally said she was busy at the moment but suggested a later time in her Jacuzzi.
Patricia went to see Teté about Briana. Teté told her it was all about Edgar. Patricia wanted her cut for clients she had referred. She described Briana as stupid about business so she was looking out for her future, Teté gave her some money. After Patricia left Teté made a call to have her followed.
Demon and Helena ate, she told him that Jezabel gave her a slamming pair of shoes and said she was going to bed early. They talked about how empty the house felt without Aurora and JC. Helena said that much light radiated from Aurora. Further that although Aurora and he had differences she loved him. He said that despite the feeling that he was competing with a phantom he had fantasies of having Aurora as his mother. They talked about having their own house. He suggested they leave the next day and wait no longer.

Demon and Helena ate, she told him that Jezabel gave her a slamming pair of shoes and said she was going to bed early. They talked about how empty the house felt without Aurora and JC. Helena said that much light radiated from Aurora. Further that although Aurora and he had differences she loved him. He said that despite the feeling that he was competing with a phantom he had fantasies of having Aurora as his mother. They talked about having their own house. He suggested they leave the next day and wait no longer.

Pascual lit a candle and spoke to Vicki. He was sure that things would have been different if they had not moved, and apologized to her. He told her he has to do what Antonio said for Angel's own good.
Patricia brought Pintas back, drunk as several lords. Jezabel was hiding in the apartment. He was getting gross as he grabbed Patricia to get jiggy. She suggested they get into the Jacuzzi. Jezabel was getting ready.
Demon and Helena were looking at photos of Las Flores when Antonio arrived. He said he had a job for her and she told him they were shortly leaving for Las Flores. He said the job would take 12 days.
After Pintas took off his shoes Patricia pushed him into the Jacuzzi. He got up but Jezabel whacked him with something hard and he fell back in. He sat up, cursing her. There was blood in the water.
Antonio told Helena he didn't want her to move. This sounded like an affordable housing project [something Demon would be guaranteed to hate] This was about Demon investing in his company, which they had previously discussed. Demon was fully attentive. Antonio told Helena he wanted her to follow in his footsteps. She proposed using recyclable materials. Helena liked his plan.
Pintas grabbed Jezabel and the fight was on. Patricia got in behind him and tried to choke. Patricia got out as Jezabel tried to drown Pintas but he got the better of her for a moment. Patricia froze in shock as Jezabel yelled at her for help several times and finally she whacked Pintas on the back of his head. A moment later he was face down, floating on the surface.

Aurora and JC went to Angel's place. They were there to talk to Pascual but Angel and Anita got there before they could. Pascual watched as Angel and Aurora embraced.
Antonio and Helena came to an agreement so – for the moment – she and Demon would stay.
Jezabel dug out the dry clothes she brought so she and Patricia could get out. Patricia was almost in shock, not quite believing what they had done. Jezabel threw some black clothes to her and said her bank account would be two million pesos richer the next day [That's only about $98K US]. “Not bad for one night's work, huh?” She told her to change and not to take off her gloves.
Aurora knew something was going on with Angel, who got Anita to leave the room. The adults sat down. Angel wanted to know if her rapist was the father of her son. She said Yes and he freaked out [Antonio should have been there]. JC said he would pay for this and to calm down.
Helena and Demon escorted Antonio to the door. They talked about presentations and plans. All is well.
Aurora asked Angel if he was alright. She asked Pascual if he knew Pintas had raped her. Angel stood up to defend Pascual.
Teté's PI came to see her with photos on his phone. She looked at them carefully and ID'd Jezabel. The PI said that Patricia did not leave in the same clothing she had arrived in.
Angel was upset as he told Aurora not to disparage Pascual who had raised him and cared for him. He began to tell her the rest but Pascual stopped him. Aurora apologized. She and JC left. Pascual said they needed to wait a little longer for Antonio's plan. He trusted him.
Helena apologized to Demon for changing their plans again. He was fixing drinks [with his back to her... and us]. He mentioned Edgar. Helena asked why Edgar had the video that she saw on their wedding day.
