Caray, Caray!

Great second recap of the day, Urban. You are amazing. Having watched today's and yesterday's episode, I know that things are going to get worse for some of the characters and that we are justified in not trusting the characters we don't trust. I suspect that if Univision stopped cutting up episodes that would interfere with their plans for whatever show is supposed to follow Angel.
 

El Angel de Aurora #122
Part 1 of 3 (Including deleted scenes and fragments)

Elvia came out of her meeting with Linette and pointed out she would not want witnesses. “And what if there are?” Jezabel asked as she prevented Demon from leaving.

[DS] Briana begged Angel to say nothing of her illness. He could not understand; they should be helping her. She said she didn't want them feeling sorry for her. “You are my family,” she said. He pointed out that she had her parents and Helena. He also didn't like secrets, saying that Antonio would not forgive one like this. She would have to tell her mother. [/DS]

Jezabel told Elvia she could talk; Demon would not be indiscreet. Elvia asked Jezabel to help get rid of Aurora. Demon asked if she was crazy.

Antonio said that someone took advantage of Angel's mother's illness while he was in jail. Helena asked who would do such a thing. She pointed out to Edgar that he was always Demon's right hand man. Edgar explained that Demon never took the word No. He was always looking to separate her from Angel, even making her believe that her father objected. Demon knew of the love between Angel and Helena. The video was edited to make it look like Angel took money to break up with her. Demon had deceived her.

[DS] JC shared the lightbulb moment with Aurora. She got it with regard to Pascual but could not think of any motive for kidnapping Luis. Both thought Briana's finding Pascual was strange. She told him that Angel changed his mind about marrying Briana and she had a bad premonition about this. She did not think that Pascual had gotten lost. He entered at that moment and told her she was right.

Edgar rose to leave but Antonio wasn't letting him off the hook. He wanted the whole truth, asking him how he could do something so vile. Edgar replied that he isn't their servant keeping their secrets; they could go to hell for all he cared. He admitted knowing much about Demon but was not ready to reveal. Antonio backed off, then left. Edgar said to himself “You will know in good time.”

Pascual told Aurora he had to say that because Angel had so many difficulties in his life. He wanted Angel to get married and have a family with Briana because he deserved peace. JC excused himself and left. Aurora and Pascual sat down and she asked what happened, telling him that Luis heard and recognized his voice. He tried to lie his way out of this but Aurora interrupted him and said that Jezabel and Demon were behind it. Pascual did not relent and repeated the lie of hanging out with friends.

Edgar got a call telling him that Jezabel, Demon, and Elvia were in the bar waiting for him. He said he was on his way.

Pascual said Angel had to marry Briana and leave the area. When Aurora objected to this dictum he said that Pintas would come after him. He denied that Pintas kidnapped him but said he could turn up any moment “and you know what he's capable of.” Aurora said he would pay but Angel can't marry Briana because he doesn't love her. She said to do the right thing or he will regret it for life.

Linette announced that Edgar was on his way. Elvia revealed what she knew of Jezabel's crimes against Aurora and how she must want her dead. Demon didn't believe any of this. She told them Pintas had escaped, which Jezabel would not have expected. Elvia said to ask JC; they had found his hideout. She offered Jezabel a deal: Her freedom for Aurora's life. “Afterwards I will disappear with Antonio.”

 

El Angel de Aurora #122
Part 2 of 3

Pascual flashed back to Linette demanding he leave Edgar out of this and incriminate only Pintas. She had threatened his children over this. [/DS]

Jezabel asked Elvia if she thought her an idiot. Elvia said this was over and Jezabel said No. She started trying to con Elvia, saying she was not woman enough for Antonio. “You aren't woman enough to get Aurora out of the way.” Jezabel asked if she thought she would dirty her hands with her sister's blood, then said she was more stupid than she thought. Demon got a few insults in as well. Elvia pulled out her cell to call police and Jezabel grabbed it with her good hand. She threw it behind her and the fight began. Linette was a witness to this.

Antonio and Helena went to the Campero mansion. Antonio told Aurora what thy found out. Angel and Briana arrived and Briana fainted – or pretended to – as Angel started to explain the hospital visit.

Elvia wrestled Jezabel to the floor. Linette pulled Elvia off Jezabel. Jezabel took out her pistol and shot her twice in the shoulder [Second bullet could have gotten the jugular or aorta]. It looked like she had some difficulty shooting. Demon looked shocked, even saying “No, Mama!” Linette went over to Elvia and told Jezabel Elvia was dead. Jezabel shot Linette in the side. He kept repeating “Mataste.” Linette ran to Elvia and said “She's dead.” Jezabel said to her baby devil “You see? This is how I end things in the way.” Linette cursed Jezabel, saying this will cause problems for Edgar. Demon asked how she could do this. Jezabel answered that it's difficult the first time but after that it's the only way to remove what's in the way. She said to rot and shot Linette in the side. Demon looked like he was about to vomit. Jezabel made a few sarcastic comments. Demon picked up her purse. Jezabel wiped her fingerprints off the gun and left it in Elvia's right hand. She pointed to Elvia's cell phone. Demon picked it up, wiped it off, and kicked it away.

Briana was on the couch. She came to, claiming she was cold. Helena looked at her, thinking she was faking. Angel asked her to call a doctor.

JC gave Luis his passport. The chauffeur was waiting outside. JC was leaving to forget Aurora. Mané felt bad for JC. Luis decided to call Aurora to tell her his father was going to the airport.

Aurora told Carmelita to make tea for Briana. Helena believed Briana was faking. Aurora as thinking the same. The day that Angel had changed his mind Briana turned up with Pascual. Helena told her about Pascual favoring Briana for Angel and Aurora said that he had been behaving a bit strangely since his return. Aurora believed that Briana was capable of this scheme but questioned why Pascual was protecting her.

Angel told Antonio that Briana had the same disease as his mother and he hoped this was not the case. Antonio wasn't quite believing this either. Angel said that the doctor still had tests to do and now he was reliving what he went through with his mother. He talked about being with her in her last days, that his father would want him to marry Briana and that his mother in heaven would approve. He was about to end it before Pascual came home but could not now. Antonio mentioned that Helena's mother also died of a horrible disease, then told Angel he was very noble to stick with Briana through it. He then told Angel what he just found out from Edgar. Angel knew this was caprices of Demon who saw Helena as a trophy. Antonio agreed, saying that Helena wants nothing to do with him and he personally will see to it to keep Demon away from Helena and the baby. Angel also wanted to protect them. Antonio told him that since his love for Helena cannot be hidden it would be a mistake to marry Briana. But that would have to be his decision.

 

El Angel de Aurora #122
Part 3 of 3

Helena accused Briana of faking to keep Angel with her. She reminded her of how Angel suffered when his mother was ill. Briana played the victim, then accused Helena of being pregnant by Angel thereby deceiving Demon. Helena slapped her [totally overdue] and told her she will raise this child alone and told her “You will not marry Angel.”

Luis called Aurora to say they were at the airport. She stared for a moment.

Briana had the nerve to say when her health deteriorates Helena will apologize on her knees. Helena told her both she and Demon will pay for this and all their dirty tricks. She finally told her that the house was hers – inherited from her mother – so she would not be allowed to live there. Briana called her mother's number and left a voicemail to pick her up.

Antonio and Angel went downstairs and were told Aurora was not at home. Helena came down and told Antonio that Briana gave a great performance. The doctor arrived to see her. He told Antonio that they didn't have all the information and therefore need tests. They went upstairs. Angel told Helena Aurora had gone out.

Aurora drove to the airport, flashing back to her past with JC.

Linette was alive, Elvia was dead. Edgar arrived and told the doctor to save Linette.

Jezabel was burying something. She got a call and told Demon to shut up. She was trying to tell him to keep Edgar in his place. He was still asking how she became so cold-blooded. Further, he said Edgar could denounce them. Jezabel dismissed this, saying he would be out in the street.

When Demon got home Helena slapped him over the videos. Jezabel yelled at her. Antonio rushed in to protect her.

Edgar got on one of his minions, who told him it was Jezabel who did this. Nobody called for an ambulance? Linette told him that his mother loved him and she did also. She told him to save himself. He cried as he told her to live. Police cars passed by as she died. Edgar swore to get Jezabel for this.

Aurora stopped driving as she got a farewell text from JC saying he knew Antonio would make her happy. He apologized for the jealousy. He knew that they were bit meant to be. She cried.

Antonio told Jezabel and Demon off. Demon said they could not keep him away from his child. Helena told Demon he was not going to be allowed near the baby because of his violence and went on about his ignorance of love and his moves to separate her from Angel. Demon tried gaslighting her again. Antonio told him he made a mistake confiding too much in someone like Edgar. Helena told them they will pay for all they've done.

Antonio and Helena talked later at home about love. Helena said she had loved Demon and Angel in different ways but that Angel is her true love.

Aurora stopped for a drink and flashed back to memories of JC, then Antonio. [¡Ay, dios mio!]

Angel/Aurora. Loved your Karmaggedon, Urban! I don't see how it can be improved on. I hope all these nasties get their due. Also, excellent, clarifying summary of episode #122. Finally! Helena learns that the video of Angel's supposed crime was edited and fake. Briana is both a scamster and a criminal accomplice. Wonder how she will end up. Both Elvia and Linnette are now dead and Jezabel is a serial killer. Will she manage to kill anyone else or will she be killed? There aren't that many episodes left.
 

Angel / Aurora #122

SpanProf, I was hoping Linette would survive, but alas... Edgar's reaction pointed to some humanity in him. If Tete had lived there was some hope. With both if them gone there may be no hope for him.

The one good thing about having to do the 2nd viewing is catching things like Demon vomiting at the murder scene. This makes me wonder if he will be the author of Jezabel's fate. 30 episodes ago I might have doubted it.

Whatever is neurologically wrong with Jezabel is likely to get in the way of her ability to wield weapons in the remainder of the story. Her hunger for other people's madness grows. And Patricia is a total idiot for revealing the USB drive.

Part 1 of 3 (Including deleted scenes and fragments)

[DS] Demon was still agitated over the double murder but was still obsessed with ridding himself of Angel “so I can win Helena back.” “That's a joke, isn't it?” Jezabel asked. “You whine like a stupid idiot like your father, romanticizing the rejection of a love you never had.” He got angry and left the room. She taunted him with “Grow up” several times and followed him. He turned around and yelled “You are a damned killer!” before going upstairs.

Antonio praised Helena's courage to face Demon over the custody of the baby. She wasn't worried, saying the law would be on their side. They spoke of her mother. [/DS]

Jezabel looked at the youthful photo of herself and Aurora, wanting to kill her. Edgar called. “I heard your voice, killer. See you soon,” he said. He was in Pintas' makeshift recovery room. He exchanged sly grins with him.

Patricia chewed Briana out because Helena figured out her game. She saud that in her place she would have had the judge come to the house with the papers. Briana got in her face and told her to shut up. She told her that “that stupid Helena” threw her out of the house and that left her with nothing. She is on the verge of losing Angel and everything else. She offered Patricia a lot of money if she would help her sustain the masquerade to the end.

[DS] Angel met Aurora in the bar. She didn't want to see anyone else at that moment. She was afraid. JC has left Mexico and Antonio wants to marry her but she was afraid while thinking of the wedding that didn't happen in their youth. One had been her husband and the other her first love. She wondered if this was a second chance or not. Angel said that they were both good men but she would know whom she truly loved.

Briana told her mother that if she had not said anything as serious as cancer Angel would not stay with her. Patricia pointed out that this would be difficult to sustain. “You should have faked pregnancy instead and later lose the baby.” Briana did not like that and said she had to help her. “I'll marry Angel, give you some money, and you stop interfering in my life.” Although recognizing the difficulty of this, Patricia agreed to help.

Angel got Aurora to dance with him to cheer her up. [/DS]

Pintas talked about Linette, then his (genetic) line. He spoke of Elvia being cold. He appeared oblivious to Edgar's dark mood. Edgar said his lawyers were getting on his case. They seemed not to buy the idea of a crime passionel, which Edgar knew it wasn't. He knew it was Jezabel and she had fled before being seen. He flashed back to his men clearing the area and putting a gun into Linette's dead hand. Pintas pointed out that this gun did not fire the bullets that killed Elvia. [Edgar was not looking far enough ahead.]

[DS] Demon was having nightmares, calling Jezabel in his sleep. She entered his room. He appeared to wake up. She told him she paid Pintas to rape Aurora. He said “No, no.” She said she killed Elvia and Linette because they would hurt him. He said “Ya, ya, Mama!” Then she confessed to killing his father “because that jerk would have made you weak. You are a Campero. Understand that.” He woke up with a loud “No!”

 

El Angel de Aurora #123
Part 2 of 3

Morning

[DS] Demon woke up to see Anita sitting nearby. She said “We have to talk.” He refused, saying he had nothing to say to a servant's child. She reminded him that she is the sister of his cousin who also owns half the house. She said she didn't think he was as bad as others say and wished he didn't fight with her brother. “Give him a chance.” Demon said nothing. [/DS]

Antonio told Aurora about Elvia's death. The death was described as a crime passionelle in Edgar's bar. Jezabel came in and asked what happened. Both Aurora and Antonio saw Jezabel's tone as though this were gossip rather than a tragedy. Jezabel asked if Edgar saw the crime; Antonio replied that he didn't have that information. Aurora commented that now another investigator on her own case is dead. Antonio said Edgar had a lot of info on many people. [Note how he watched Jezabel during this line.] Aurora and Antonio left the room and Jezabel cursed Edgar.

[DS] Anita went on about this, saying she didn't understand this hatred. She didn't want to see her brother die. Demon told her she was too young to be talking about death. “Your brother started this. He took away my girlfriend, entered my business like a dog, took advantage of my aunt, and stole her affection.” “Your aunt is his mother. How can you say that?” “If he didn't appear all her affection would have been for me,” he said. He even blamed Helena. Anita thought Angel was cool and finished by asking if Demon knew what it was like to have a brother.

[DS] Angel came downstairs and Briana needed to get ready to see the doctor. She said she was going into the library to call her mother. [/DS] Angel walked in on Helena's breakfast. She told him she was hurt by all the lies told by Demon. She apologized conditionally if what she thinks is about Briana is wrong, Briana came back and Helena accused Briana of helping with the altered videos. Angel looked at her.

[DS] Demon asked Anita whether she shouldn't be cleaning rooms and told her to leave. Sh told him that yes, she grew up in a barrio but you learn living in a group is better because people take care of each other. She apologized for saying this “Your mother is a witch who always says nasty things.” [He almost laughed here]. “With us you are surrounded with people who care and the brother you never had. It it worth it to kill each other like cats and dogs?” “Please. I'm not going to repeat myself. Get out of my room. I'm not in the mood to talk to you.” “You called me by name. You said 'por favor'. That's progress.” She hugged him with another comment. He looked confused as she left. [/DS]

Briana claimed no responsibility in assisting Demon in his schemes. Angel asked if she helped with the videos. She started to fake pain and weakness. She then accused Helena of wanting Angel to abandon her. Helena effectively called her a liar. She told her to stop faking because she could go further with the truth. Briana continued to fake and told Angel to get her out of there. Angel said she should rest before her appointment and that Helena was just looking to brainwash him against her. Helena said “The only liar here is you. Dr Mendiola will have to clarify this.” She picked up her phone and asked about the coincidence of this disease just as he decided to end their engagement. Of course Briana pretended to faint, Angel sat her down, and then said that the doctor found multiple melanomas. Helena made it clear that she will accept the situation if Briana were truly ill but will put up with no more lies told to separate them. She made the call.

 

El Angel de Aurora #123
Part 3 of 3

[DS] Pepe and Esperanza dropped in on Patricia to invite her to their wedding. As the madrina.

Aquiles went to Cassandra's office to deliver some files. [Was that flirtation? Poor Maggie if so]

Pepe and Esperanza buttered her up enough for Patricia to agree. Her phone gave a notification and she read that Linette and Elvia were dead. She excused herself to go to the bathroom. Once in Pepe looked for and found the USB drive. Unfortunately, Patricia realized that this was what they were really looking for. He handed it back. She shooed them out. [/DS]

Aurora told Antonio she had to talk to Aquiles and Glorio. She had been up all night talking with Angel. She told him JC had left Mexico. Now she had to talk to the guys.


Italy

JC and Luis walked around in an old part of town, talking about Luis mother and... food. Luis was missing his “family” in Mexico. He missed Esperanza, Cassandra, etc, and especially Rolando and Aurora. JC talked about buying Aurora flowers, etc. Luis suggested going back.

[DS] Pepe was disappointed at the mission's failure. Esperanza pointed out that Patricia looked very nervous which meant they were on to something important. They had to make another attempt. [/DS]

Dr Mendiola came to the house Helena wanted the truth. He suggested Dr Rubio (who had treated Vicki) but she was not available. Edgar showed up to say he was taking Briana to Houston for treatment.


Italy

[DS] Luis threw a coin into the fountain. He wanted to go back to Mexico, JC did not but Luis presented the same argument as before. No firm decision.

Edgar said he was going with Briana. She threw out a guilt-inducing line about Angel abandoning her as she goes for treatment. He wanted to be sure he was not being deceived. She denied doing so, claiming that Helena was making this up. Helena said “No, it's that I know you very well” and Angel knew that Edgar had messed with the videos. Edgar said that was because Demon hated him ad this was the only way to separate him from Helena.

Antonio looked at the photo of Aurora and Jezabel. He flashed back to an earlier conversation with Aurora about the past vs the present feelings. He seemed almost as confused as she.[/DS]

 

Angel/Aurora

Thanks Urban, for all the great details and left out scenes. I’m sorry they cut the ones with Anita and Demon, I would have liked to see them. But the scene with Esperanza and Pepe searching Patricia’s for the USB Drive was an important scene. They just seem to cut scenes with no rhyme or reason.

Demon is finally realizing his mother is really a monster. But what will he do with that information. Maybe Anita will soften him up. But I’d like him gone at the end of the show so Helena doesn’t have to deal with him trying to be near the baby.

Thanks for the Karmageddon. A nice organized list of all the evil deeds by the evil characters.

Angel / Aurora #123

I liked the scene with Demon and Anita. It definitely brought something to light: Jezabel kept him isolated as a child and he definitely didn't have friends. He has no clue what that is like, which accounts for his confused expressions.

I am currently of the opinion that Demon will end up in the manicomio. Not because mental illness is genetic but because his egg donor drove him there. He hasn't actually killed anyone yet and appears repulsed by Jezabel's cold-bloodedness but will he see any light before she kills him?

Jezabel and Pintas must die. Nobody will have any peace otherwise. She should die like her biblical namesake.

Briana and her mother should be cleaning toilets in office buildings at midnight.

Edgar should end up in prison.

Urban, thank you for another great recap and for the extra work you put in to provide us with all the deleted scenes. I would have liked to see sweet Anita interacting with Demon. Perhaps her innocent heart will have some effect on him now that he has witnessed his mother kill two people with absolutely no remorse. Maybe he will be redeemed by saving someone ( Angel, Helena, Aurora??) From Jezabel.

I don't care how Pintas dies but considering his condition now it should be easy for anyone. Since he has it in for Jezabel he probably should be her killer with a weapon he can use.... like a pack of pitbulls.

Currently working on 124. I don't know if I can do all three outstanding ones today. We enter the home stretch tomorrow.
 

Angel/Aurora. #123. Another marvelous complete recap that filled in a lot of blanks, Urban! I'm also glad that the gang seems to be pretty much all here with their great comments. What a disgusting mother Jezabel is! (among her other defects, like serial murder). It becomes very obvious that Briana lied about having cancer. Anita is amazingly wise for her age, and I too am sorry that they cut the scene between her and Demian. I agree that it's obvious he hadn't had an opportunity to interact with other children as a child. Now, did the doctor (or lab tech) fake Briana's tests or did she find a way to alter them?

As for how Briana faked this, I think that Dr Mendiola is corrupt. Jezabel seems to have a bottomless pit of cash to bribe her way to anything, at least so far. This bribe was most likely from Edgar's coffers. Also, he has a doctor of very questionable ethical standards on his payroll who can easily forge fake lab reports.

We pick up from where the previous episode left off.

[DS] Edgar tried taunting Angel and Helen by saying that if their love was so strong it could not have been broken by Demon's antics or Briana being honest with and being with him through thick and thin, “so what makes you so brave now?” Helena told him that Briana dallied with Demon. Briana said she also did that, then told Angel she will return the ring to make this even. He told her that he had a promise with her but had never hidden his feelings for Helena. He would stay with her through illness but will not cave to blackmail. Edgar then said “I'll be honest with you. I'm not your enemy, Demon paid me to do things. Neither you nor Helena mattered to me. But Briana does. So I will ask you to leave us alone. She won't love you or deal with your insulting questions. Truly cursing having met you. You and Helena stay away. I won't allow you two to kill each other like Linette and Elvia did over some nobody. They killed each other over some man. You want to end up the same way? Let's go, Sis.” Briana wanted to talk to Angel. Edgar said “No; I'll do that this time.” [/DS]

Antonio and Aurora talked about their situation. He spoke of his love for her. She loved him but did not want to rush in.

Angel told Edgar he knew of his helping Demon without their knowing each other. Or Edgar knowing what eviction is like. He asked if Edgar had even a shred of conscience. Edgar spoke of his lonely childhood, nobody really caring about him, then Cassandra and the discovery he had a sister: Briana. She was the only person who cared about him. Angel asked him how he came to hurt a family who never did anything to him and how he could justify that.

Briana thought to herself that she and Edgar needed to put the plan in motion. Helena came in and told Briana off. Briana said she would go and live with Edgar. She was waiting for the two guys to finish their conversation and then she would get her things. Helena pointed out that Briana and her mother caused her a lot of hurt and all would soon come to light. “And it will not be difficult to prove that your sickness isn't real.” “Yes, it is real,” lied Briana. “Thar's why I am calm.” “If you ask forgiveness until the end I will care for you, If you're lying I am assured. So be it.”

Edgar did not feel that doing Demon's bidding would hurt him. Angel said he thought badly and hoped that this situation wasn't another of his manipulations because he was playing with the memory of Vicki. He said that Angel should leave Briana if he couldn't make her happy in her final days. He eventually said that once Briana was gone he would go far away, never to see Demon or Jezabel again..

Cassandra was now head of HR. Jezabel snapped her fingers and threatened to call security to throw them her out. Cassandra replied that Aurora gave her the promotion. Aquiles confirmed it just as Aurora and Antonio entered reception and Jezabel claimed that Aurora did not have the power to do this. Antonio supported Aurora's decision. Jezabel said nothing.

Briana asked Edgar if Angel fell for it. Edgar said he was no fool thanks to recent revelations about Demon. He tried to persuade her to look elsewhere for a good man but she would not and said Helena should rot.

Part 2 of 4

Helena was waiting for Briana's claim to be disproven. She asked Angel if he was going to marry her out of pity if it was true without loving her. He was not going to break his promise if this was true. She said this was the last time they would talk about it. They kissed before she left the room.

Antonio and Aurora talked to Aquiles and Glorio who told them about the document [which was a statement of medical opinion that she had been raped]. Apparently Aquiles lied about it being destroyed in the laundry. They had been looking for evidence about Carlos. Aurora told them that Jezabel had deceived her. The music box had contained the USB which they were certain something incriminating. “Your sister is evil.” They said that the suicide was her fault.

Jezabel's gloved hand became painful. She asked herself “What is this?” as she clutched in her other hand. “What is happening? Is this your punishment, Father?”

Aquiles and Glorio described the breaking of the box and the USB drive eventually falling into Patricia's hands. They had a plan to get it back, but it failed. Antonio told them to say nothing about this because he and Aurora had a plan. They knew that Jezabel was involved in the kidnapping of Luis. Aurora assured them that Jezabel will pay.

Jezabel had trouble picking things up and putting them back with her “good” hand. She almost collapsed into her desk chair. Patricia came in saying they should talk about Carlos. Jezabel asked why and Patricia asked whether he was a friend of Aquiles. When Jezabel confirmed this Patricia said that Aquiles was a traitor. Aurora came in.

[DS] Pascual sat in the garden watching the fountain. He flashed back to Linette's words about his release. He asked how he will get home. She told him that Briana will find him; nothing more. Other than all this she didn't care what he told his family. He agreed. Anita walked up to him and stopped these thoughts. She reminded him they were supposed to go to Rolando's and he said “Yes; let's go.” He thought to himself “I better not say anything, for everybody's good.” Anita called for him to come inside.

Jezabel told Aurora that effective the next day Patricia would be working at the office. Aurora agreed to this and got Patricia to leave so she could talk privately with Jezabel. Patricia left. [/DS] Aurora told Jezabel that JC had left Mexico and was no longer part of the company [So what happened to his shares?]. She noticed that Jezabel wasn't her usual argumentative self. She told Jezabel to see the doctor. [DS] “Is this the illness our father had?” She did not answer, only saying she was aware of JC's departure. Aurora went out saying to see the doctor. Jezabel said nothing. There were tremors in her right hand.

Night

Aurora sat in bed wondering where JC was. [/DS]

Morning in Italy

[DS] JC sat down at a café table with a bottle of vino rosso and a loaf of good Italian bread [Your recapper wishes she were there with him]. Luis joined him talking about Tio Vincenzo and JC said he found a house he wanted to buy. A small castle with a garden and a nearby vineyard. However, Luis did not want to live in Italy. He liked it as vacation but missed his novia and his friends. He started working on JC to convince him that this was not the right decision for all concerned. JC was not convinced and said that tomorrow he will buy the house.


Night in Mexico

Aurora looked at the full moon and said “I miss you as a friend. I wish you were here.”

Morning in Mexico

Angel and Helena talked to a doctor who said he was recommended by Mendiola. He told them that Briana's diagnosis was correct. He turned the laptop toward them. Helena read out “Multiple melanomas. The doctor said Briana had only two months to live. He asked Angel if he was Briana's fiancé. Helena answered for him. Angel looked like he felt trapped.


Next Morning in Mexico

Aurora helped Angel dress for his wedding. She had spoken with his father who said that this was Angel's to decide, but at what price? Antonio was not going to be present and Helena left a departure note; she was planning to leave the country after settling some business and other matters. Angel read Helena's note which ended with her saying “I love you but I have to forget you.” He didn't want to lose her again. Aurora said that now was the time to do the right thing for himself. She trusted him to make the right decision.

[DS] Briana was dressed and Patricia spoke of victory because all the guests think Briana was going to die. Briana asked that she not cry out more if all thought this. She asked about Padre Vigilio and Patricia said he was sending a priest for her. That meant that Briana had to pay her more for such a low thing. Briana said “Don't worry, Mother. You will get everything you deserve. Because afterwards I never want to see you again.” Patricia called her an ingrate and taunted her over Antonio's absence. She left the room and Briana flashed back to a conversation with Edgar where he suggested going away and forgetting about Helena. She could have a miraculous cure or forget about Angel who will marry Helena and she will end up as their children's maiden aunt. “You choose.”

Part 4 of 4

Pintas played around with the sound equipment in Edgar's bar as Vampi brought him a cane. He declared that effective immediately everybody will respect him. Vampi handed him a drink and reminded him that he was not fully recovered. However he took the drink, stood up, and said he was fine. “I will look for my son, my barrio angel. I will see him, that witch, Jezabel and her dear son, Demon.”

Demon and Jezabel were getting ready. He was a little incredulous and she taunted him about what will happen when Briana goes to hell, leaving Angel free to marry Helena. He asked her about her promise. She said “Give your cousin to you dead in the place he was born: Las Flores.” [/DS]

Guests were outside the house. Demon was not happy at Helena's absence; he wanted to gloat. Aurora said she hadn't seen her in a while. She was not in Mexico. Demon was angry but Jezabel said she could not be far “with the brat in her belly” and she would keep him informed.

In fact, she and Antonio had not yet left. Helena gave her assistant instructions over the phone. They were sad at how all this turned out. He had always treated Briana as a daughter and now did not believe that Briana was ill. Helena was his priority. Aurora could follow later on another flight.

[DS] Edgar walked up to Jezabel and Demon to give them Elvia's and Linette's greetings from hell. He was there for his sister's wedding. Jezabel and Demon walked off with Edgar not far behind them. [/DS]

Pintas was at large and looked like he was going to crash the wedding. Angel could not stop thinking about Helena. Pintas watched from sufficient distance to avoid being seen despite his smoking.

[DS] Antonio was trying to get a flight but they were fully booked. Helena thought that the ceremony could be in progress. Antonio told her not to think about this. [/DS]

The civil ceremony was stopped by Angel who then told Briana he could not marry her, saying he loved Helena and could not play with others' happiness. Briana tried to stop this. Jezabel told Demon “Your cousin just stopped his wedding for your ex-wife. There goes your hope she will get back together with you.” Briana then became pathetic, almost begging Angel not to do this. Pascual spoke up, saying Angel doesn't have to marry like this. Patricia tried to record this but Aurora took her phone away and told her off. Angel said he could not marry out of pity; it would be cowardly of him. She said “Look at what you are provoking on the happiest day of my life.” No crowd reaction because everyone was watching and listening. “You're ruining this for that stupid Helena” Pintas limped his way into the house. Edgar tied taunting Angel. Pascual spoke up about the kidnapping and the evictions. Angel demanded to know if Briana knew about this. She tried to deny it, but was in panic mode. Pascual said Briana pretended to find him in order to guide him to Angel. He had gone to Edgar's bar because Edgar had evicted his family. “And Pintas was there.” Edgar tried to deny this. Pascual told Angel of the threat against him and Anita. Aquiles and Simon had to restrain Angel from charging at Edgar. Aurora confirmed Edgar's actions and demanded to know where Pintas was. Angel demanded Demon's confession of guilt, but Demon denied it. Edgar disavowed any knowledge of Pintas or his actions. Demon denied all involvement, putting it all on Edgar. Jezabel did the same. Edgar called her out on her toxic hate. Major arguments happened and Briana had a fit. Two of Edgar's thugs appeared, fired into the air, and got him out. Briana cried theatrically.
 

Angel / Aurora #124

That last paragraph doubled in length to get everything in and a few things corrected. We have several confirmations of Briana's lies about her condition. Nasty little bitch.

I will get started on 125 after a short break. 126 may have to wait until tomorrow.
 

Angel/Aurora. You are truly heroic, Urban! Edgar is really being domineering with his half sister. Could Jezabel's hand problem ultimately do her in? That would be so just! With the deleted scenes back in, Angel's "wedding" seems a little less abrupt.

Thanks once again Urban. What an outstanding job of filling us all in. I’m sure you’re ecstatic at seeing the end of this quickly approaching. I’m happy to see it end because watching it was so confusing! But it seems like all the good guys have their ducks in a row. I can’t imagine how they can turn out 10 more episodes, even though we’ll only see 5. But it will be Pintas and Jezabel trying to kill everyone. Maybe this telenovela will have a whole episode of happily ever after.

I know I’m not alone in my appreciation of you sticking with this to fill the rest of us in on what’s going on.

I will be taking a rest from recapping after the finale of this one. I have done a couple of whole ones in the past and it is exhausting even without the slicing and dicing. This one is so dialogue-heavy which makes it take a huge chunk of time. The writers had better give Jezabel a serious Karmageddon after all this!

Part 1 of 3 (Including deleted scenes and fragments)

[DS] As Briana sank to her knees in defeat Pintas got into the library near the oversized photo of the two sisters. He called Vampi, saying he is about to talk with his son.

Patricia told Angel he must put this right with her daughter and not be a coward like Antonio. She was about to hit him when Aurora got between them and stopped her, telling her to get out of her house. Patricia said she had to be with Briana but Aurora ordered her out. Jezabel came out and showed Patricia out, saying she was only making things worse. Aurora told the maid to call police. Angel escorted Briana to another room.

Antonio's maid brought his suitcase. Helena said he was looking sad lately, Part of this was Elvis but the rest was Aurora. Helena confirmed that he had been taking his meds and asked whether his love for Aurora was about the memories. He said he had never stopped loving her. However he didn't want to talk about that at the moment. [/DS]

Demon and Jezabel found Pintas in the house. He demanded they help him talk to Angel. Neither looked eager to comply.

Briana claimed she had nothing to do with what happened to Pascual. Angel did not believe her. She claimed she was ordered to fetch Pascual. She knelt in front of him and begged for forgiveness, saying she loved him. Angel said if she was repenting she would have to tell the whole truth. He asked if the cancer was fake and she nodded.

[DS] Demon ordered Pintas to get out. Pintas raised his cane at Jezabel and Demon, demanding they calm down or there would be a scandal. He taunted Demon, saying “You also could be my son; you have my character.” Demon was ready to slug him, but Jezabel held him back and ordered them both to calm down. Pintas refused to leave without seeing Angel. Police sirens were heard outside. Demon pointed out the sound. Jezabel did not want the police and told Pintas they would help him. [/DS]

Angel was angry. He asked Briana why she lied. She claimed to love him and that was why she did what she did. He said this was not love; she had played him with the false claim of the disease his mother had. She said she could not stand losing him and to Helena. Edgar arranged for her to find Pascual. He accused her of thinking of him as a trophy to take from her sister [Not to mention an ATM], saying she was just like Demon. She denied it but he pointed to the truth.. She said she just wanted to be happy and to make a family like his parents did. He asked if she thought that his parents made a family on the basis of lies. “My parents, Vicki and Pascual, never deceived each other,”

Jezabel told Pintas he had to be patient because Angel was very annoyed with everything that happened. Pintas insisted he was Angel's father, he had his blood and he knew how to calm him. Jezabel said that Pascual was his father and also Antonio. “And you are what? A nobody who raped her. He is Angel Santos.” “The blood calls,” said Pintas. “He is my son and sooner or later he will recognize me.” Jezabel said they would help him. Demon objected. Jezabel said it will be alright. She told him to get Aurora, Pascual, and “the brat” out first and she will get Pintas out. Pintas sarcastically said that he was the only evil and everyone else there saint, “especially your mother.” He was about to slug Pintas but Jezabel got him to go outside. Pintas sat behind the desk talking about how they are relations and allies.

Angel demanded the full truth but Briana would not betray Edgar, saying he is the only family she had. She started with the lonely child number again, saying he had a family while she and Edgar only had each other. Angel said “You are not the victim,” but Helena was when he was about to marry her. “If you have any dignity you will tell the police.” She said Edgar had nothing to do with this and blamed it all on Pintas.

Part 2 of 3

[DS] Pascual told Aurora everything about the kidnapping, including why he had to meet up with Briana. Linette had told him this was about Briana's happiness and the price was Angel. Aurora said they had to denounce Briana as an accomplice. Pascual agreed but he was concerned about reprisals. Aurora said that Edgar also had to pay. Pascual was concerned about the sacrifices involved but Aurora refused to sacrifice Angel's happiness or safety for anyone. Demon came down to the kitchen, saying he had nothing to do with Pascual's kidnapping. Both Pascual and Aurora apologized to him over this. He mentioned Helena and Aurora checked her phone, There were missed calls. Angel came in and told them Edgar was the mastermind. Aurora said to call Helena. Demon said not to because sh had made her decision. Angel took out his phone.

Helena and Antonio were leaving with suitcases. They talked about the unfairness of it all. Angel ran to her, telling her he could not marry Briana. Aurora was with him. She and Antonio watched the reunion. Angel and Helena declared that nothing would separate them now.

Demon looked at the wedding ring and declared that this was not over, “Nobody defeats Demon Morga.” He threw the ring as Jezabel entered his room. She told him to look for another woman, one better than Helena. He had no patience for this and told her to leave him alone. He was sure Helena and Angel were together. Again, the word naco and Demon accused Angel of stealing his life. He called Jezabel by her name and she didn't like that. The issue of her being a bad mother came into this. She said to forget Helena and let her handle things. Demon went on about Angel stealing not only Helena but his place in the company. “And what else?” she asked him. There was a serious limit to her patience.

Antonio talked about having been Briana's father since she was a child but and Helena said it's been a long time since she saw them as family. Aurora said that Patricia was a poor excuse for a mother. She praised Antonio for taking them on. Helena said she never had a sisterly relationship with Briana.

Jezabel claimed she sacrificed for Demon because she loved him but he wasn't believing a word of this. Her treatment of his father and Helena leaving him and her killing the detective was too much She said Angel will die. He scoffed and told her to leave him alone. As he left the room she thought “I know better than anyone everything your cousin stole from you, and what hurts you more than losing Helena is Aurora's stupidity.”

Angel said he would denounce both Edgar and Briana for what they did. Helena said her intuition said Briana was faking but it bothered her to think of Briana going through something so serious alone. Aurora blessed them, saying she needed to go home and make sure all was well. After she left Angel felt free but Helena was sure that neither Demon nor Briana would take this lying down. He told her he would be a good father to her baby, as Pascual and Antonio have been to him.

Demon's words about his father echoed in Jezabel's head, then Pintas' and her telling Pintas to get rid of Pascual, Antonio, and Aurora to isolate Angel so he would be Angel's only family. She crouched into her chair, her expression of fear, madness, or both.

Patricia scolded Briana for not getting pregnant instead, saying if she had followed her instructions she would be on her honeymoon. Edgar finally told her to shut up. He said the only option now is to destroy Angel and Helena. Patricia insulted them both by saying they were both imbeciles. She asked Edgar why he didn't use his influence. She then escalated by telling Briana she was not off the hook for the money she “owed” her. Briana got in her face, yelling “I hate you! This is your fault! This is the worst thing that's ever happened to me in my life!” Edgar held her and told her to calm down. She started crying. Patricia asked “Are you crazy?”

Part 3 of 3

Patricia had the nerve to say that Edgar was just like his father “a violent loser.” Edgar told her to get lost because Briana needed him. She decided to go out for a drink but reminded Briana of what she owed her. After she walked out Edgar got Briana to her feet and embraced her. She asked if she could be arrested for kidnapping. He said not to worry. His mother had a lot of people who owed favors and he could get Pintas arrested. He wanted to leave but he said it would be better to keep a low profile for a while. Edgar hid as Antonio arrived to talk to her. She rejected him, saying he wasn't her father and was nothing to her.

[DS] Jezabel flashed back to a conversation with Pintas in which Pintas shrank at the prospect of killing Pascual. She then proceeded to fire him up to kill Aurora because “she would poison his mind against you.” Pintas told her she should kill Aurora and he would take out Antonio. Jezabel decided that this would take place during the upcoming event in Las Flores. She thought Pintas stupid for even thinking that Angel would love him as he loves Pascual. She planned to frame Pintas for Aurora's murder and he would rot in prison.

Pintas told Vampi to get him a suitcase for later. He talked about Jezabel thinking he was more naïve than he was. She thought she was manipulating him.

Antonio made one more try but Briana was on the offensive, throwing his mistakes in his face. He told her that he had made mistakes and learned from them but that she had learned nothing. He still loved her despite what she had done to Helena. [/DS]

Aurora went home. An old friend showed up who would have been in her bridal party back then.

Antonio questioned her and came to see if she was alright because she had a lot to answer for. Including adultery with Demon, stealing Angel, and the fake deadly illness. He warned her there will be issues with the police and suggested keeping her distance from Edgar. She refused. She told him she never wanted to see him or Helena again. He made one more effort but in the end did not stay. Edgar came back into the room and held her.

[DS] Vampi gave Pintas his pills one at a time as Pintas told him he'd had a hard day. Vampi said that Edgar will be late. He flashed back to Jezabel getting him out of the mansion hunched over so he could get away without being recognized. Demon had to get him back inside while she distracted Pascual who was still present. She feigned politeness with him while Demon got him out a different door and asked him if he was offered money to kill Aurora. Pintas laughed, complimented Demon on his intelligence, and commented that he must know his mother very well. He said that when the owl sings there is more than one death. “Your mother will kill your aunt.” Demon ordered him to leave. Before he could Anita ran out of the house. She walked up to Demon and said he looked depressed and she wanted to show him a pretty place. They ended up in front of the church Its door was open. Anita talked about her mother and love. She told him he decides whether to enter or not. She walked back to the house. He looked for a moment then entered the church and walked slowly to toward the altar, looking both sad and confused.

 

Angel/Aurora

Thanks once again Urban. I can’t imagine how much work this all is. I did one recap of a telenovela alone, and it was a short one, maybe 60 episodes. But by #30 I was counting down and looking at a calendar to see what date I’d be finished. But on a positive note I really knew most of what was going on because I would rewatch it and look up words. But it was like a part time job! I feel what you’re doing is probably a full time job.

I can’t believe they introduced a new character a week from the end! I can’t imagine how she will fit into this story.

Once again they cut the scene with Anita and Demon. I can’t even picture the two of them together, having a civil conversation. But he walked into the church! I wonder if this will be his transformation!

Angel/Aurora. Thanks once again for an incredible recap, Urban! I agree with Liz that this must be an incredible amount of work. I still don't understand why Angel hasn't had a dna test to determine if Pintas is his father. With Pintas' criminal history his dna shouldn't be that hard to obtain--not to mention all the places he's been.
