Caray Caray Awards 2024 starting today!
Hello everyone!!!
Yes, I'm still here! Unfortunately I don't have the time to recap (I'm not even watching a telenovela!) but I'm hanging around and will get back on recapping track ASAP.
Today is a special day because it's Caray Caray's 19th BIRTHDAY! So I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARAY CARAY! I'm SO grateful for being part of the this wonderful blog with all its amazing people. Recapping is a rewarding experience and this blog has been a "safe place" ever since I joined, with the best people on the internet.
Now, as last year, the Caray Caray Awards are here! The first week is the "clear-up" - where we, well, clear up the gaps and make corrections on the nominees.
This year I have included an extra category because my Receta gang asked for it - the Best Thug (El/La Mejor Matón/tona)! The only one I've included is Rubio from Receta, because I couldn't find any info on the other telenovelas. You can nominate both male and female thugs in the same category. So we have lots of gaps to clear up in that one!
Here are the nominees along with the gaps I have. The rules and eligibility criteria will be the same as last year - they're right below the nominees/gaps.
Anyone who has watched some of this year's telenovelas can vote. I won't be voting for obvious reasons. Note that you'll have to be signed in your email account to avoid double-voting. Your email account will NOT be shown to me. More details below (and next week!).

Eligibility criteria
The shows that are eligible for the Caray Caray 2024 Telenovela Awards are:
• The ones who started on or after April 4, 2024 and finished before or on April 4, 2025.
• The ones who started prior to April 4, 2024, but were ongoing on that date and finished before or on April 4, 2025.
(April 4, 2006 is Caray's birthday, since the first post ever on this blog was published on that date.)
Rounds
There will be 2 rounds of the Awards. Each round will last one week.
More specifically:
• Round 1: Characters of all Telenovelas/All Telenovelas fitting the categories will be in Round 1.
• Round 2: Only the characters/telenovelas who passed Round 1 will proceed to Round 2.
Voting System
The voting system will be different for rounds 1 and 2.
In Round 1, everyone who wants to vote will vote for one character/telenovela that they want to eliminate in each category.
In Round 2, everyone who wants to vote will vote for one character/telenovela that they want to win in each category.
Please vote only once. In order to make sure each participant votes only once, you'll have to be logged in (Google account).
Also, please do not write in the comments who you're going to vote for and/or persuade others to vote or not for something. (I'm sure no one here would do that, but I had to write it.)
How to vote
It's very simple! Just go to the Google Forms document I have created!
You DON'T have to have watched ALL of the telenovelas included to vote.
Lurkers can vote as well, you don't have to be a recapper/commenter.
THE LINKS WILL BE POSTED AFTER A WEEK, THIS WEEK WILL BE JUST FOR THE CLEAR-UPS.
Results
Round 1 results will be posted on Caray in exactly 2 weeks from now (will start in exactly in a week: Friday, April 11, 2025, results: Friday, April 18, 2025)
Round 2 results will also be posted on Caray, in exactly one week from the Round 1 results (3 weeks from now: Friday, April 25, 2025).

Kat in SC: Ana was always my personal favorite character in "SED DE VENGANZA" & was the only person I was interested in throughout the entire Telenovela.
Maria Jose Camacho (who portrayed Ana) was also in "DEVUELVEME LA VIDA".

I was going to say what Kat said, I actually stopped watching Sed long before the finally, so I wasn't sure if they tried to redeem Isabella or what, but she was definitely billed as the villain in that show, had killed several people if I remember correctly before I quit watching. I don't think she can be considered a protag.

Mejor Matón is best thug. If we manage to get a minimum of 3 in both Telemundo and Univisión I'll be glad.
Kat in SC: Isabella's character was executed via lethal injection during the Gran Final of "SED DE VENGANZA". Plus, Ana & Joseph were the only ones in attendance, especially Ana, who wanted to make sure Crazy Goldie Locks stayed dead.
