A.MAR Capítulo 11 Notes from the Couch . . . Parte 1
Fabián's Snit Continues
Gerardo appears at Meche's for Estrella to sign the contract. Fabián pops up to tell her how he feels she betrayed him. She explains that she is going to sign the contract because her family needs to pay off their debt to the union. Fabián tells his father Gonzalo that he feels like Estrella stabbed him in the back. Gonzalo says he lost his account with Gerardo all on his own and what is more he sounds more like a jilted suitor than somebody on the short end of a business deal. Fabián does admit being attracted to Estrella
but insists that she should have told him what was going on with Gerardo so he would not have to hear about it from somebody else. Later, his father and Gabriel call him on his over-the-top extreme reactions to everything Estrella does. They tell him he is falling in love with Estrella. Fabián cannot deny he has strong feelings for her.
Estrella tells her mother that she only wanted to tell Fabián what was going on before she signed the contract. Meche reminds her that Gerardo was planning on hiring her father but then he died. As far as Meche is concerned, Fabián swooped in and "stole" the account from them. She tells Estrella there is no reason she had to report anything about the deal to Fabián. She pauses with an all-knowing look on her face and being a parent just as insightful as Gonzalo, she asks her daughter if there is some reason she feels she has to report what they were doing to Fabián. Estrella says no but insists she only wanted to do things the right way.
Estrella tells Erika about her problem with Fabián and Erika thinks it would be best if she explained things to Fabián on Estrella's behalf. Instead and with the assistance of Yazmín, Fabián is told that he is now a laughing stock
due to Estrella telling everyone how she beat him to the contract. Nobody has any respect for him.
The Bad Penny Turns Up
Rosalba calls Porfirio still not happy that she has only received 10,000 pesos. He tells her again that he wants to keep the money under wraps until the debt is repaid and it looks like the Contreras women will be able to do it. That angers Rosalba who still wants to see Meche living in poverty out on the streets. She offers to come to town and do something about it herself. He assures her that he can take care of it. Just when Estrella is starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel, Porfirio, who is also the harbor master, shows up on the beach to inform her that nobody will be fishing until the 15th of the month due to dangerous winds. She immediately smells a rat and blames it on Fabián who says it isn't his decision and if she doesn't follow the decision she will be fined. She makes it clear that that they will have to fine her because she has no intention of following the harbor master's ruling. Later when hearing about the decision, Gonzalo and Gabriel both tell Fabián that there is nothing wrong with the weather and that they all know Porfirio's ruling is bogus.
Can We have a Sad Trombone for Pascual and Bid Him Adieu? Puhleez!!!
Sorry , but I do not find this story line cute or even remotely entertaining. Pascual goes to talk to Perla. He says he has a hard time in his life expressing himself. She says she feels the same way. She agrees to them spending some time together ONLY if it is as friends. When he tells Valentín about his "date" with Perla, it is clear he wants to be more than friends.

Marina Starts to Remember
Marina remembers being pregnant and a small house on the sea shore surrounded by lots of vegetation. She feels she must have had a baby and somebody is looking for her. Gonzalo, known for his knowledge of the Pacific, is going to see if he can help her find that house.
UH, OH . . . Did We Just Get a Clue about Azul's Long-Lost Father?
As the Contreras family is around the table celebrating Brisa's engagement, Meche talks about the happiness she had in her marriage and family. She advises them to always look ahead and not to the past. Estrella says she would like to get married someday. Azul says she can't because her dad is going to come back one day and they will be a family again.
Immediately we cut to a party where Sergio has a seemingly endless supply of beautiful women. They are all taking photos with him. His friend Juanjo says he should be careful because Beatriz coulf see one of them. Sergio says it doesn't matter.Beatriz is only with him for his money and he is with her to get an heir. If there is no pregnancy, they will not be getting married. Anyway, Beatriz is not in his long term plans.
Beatriz is in her room seeing one of those women with Sergio. It angers her and she tells herself that she will be his wife and the only mother of his heir. She looks at a pregnancy test but we do not see the result.
Downerville
Gabriel's fellow fishermen toast him on his engagement to Brisa. Fabián seems surprised and disappointed to hear the news but manages to wish him the best.

Mariana admits she thinks she killed Leo, though she doesn't remember how it happened. She's arrested and read her rights.
Enrique and Francisco discuss how they will kill Roberto and the "attempt" on his life will garnish more votes
Elena and Omar apparently had a passionate interlude which brings back happy memories for both. Elena wants to live together again. Omar nixes that idea. I'm not a good man and don't deserve your love. She says if you had other women when we were separated that's water under the bridge. Where there is life there is hope. He still insists he's not worthy and leaves her at the store with her mouth hanging open in shock.
Mateo arrives at the the headquarters and talks with Francisco and Enrique. He claims he needs a favor . The only reason he left his house was because of Mariana spending all her time with Leo.
Memo overhears German making a dinner date with Pato. He is not happy. German reminds him that he isn't Pato's cousin (brother) so he has that advantage.
So Mateo wants Francisco to make his problems at the University go away. Hell become a model husband, just like Enrique. Mariana calls dad, I need a lawyer. He sits down in distress needing water.
German does show up to help her. Roberto is watching via the mirrored glass. A policeman asks do you want us to record it. Roberto reminds him that is against the law. Berta enters and accused him of having it in for the Ferrer's. He says this case has no bearing on the Saldana case, which you are in charge of.
The gangs all there at the station. Memo and Ines talk. He says you were at the cabin also that night.
Francisco is having heart issues but making light of them to Mateo. Enrique says you need to take care of yourself. ( His heart condition seems to be news to Enrique, I thought Memo told him about it).
Ines tells Memo she was there after Ines killed Leo and tried to get rid of the evidence. The reason she killed him was because of you and Adrian. Leo recorded her confession that Adrian and you were involved. Memo is shocked, who else knows? Your Uncle.
German is asking Mariana what she actually remembers. He asks sus you fight. She shows him her bruised arms and claims Leo did it Roberto comes in to get her declaration. German goes to talk to the family. Gaby calls him. When are you coming to play. He says he'll see her tomorrow he's on an important case. Karina tells her he's probably with Luci and has no time for you. Gaby lists all the nice things about Luci which gets Karina riled up. She tells her Luci is treating you like a pet.
German tells the family that he has hopes Mariana won't be jailed.
Victoria brings the autopsy report. The weapon had Mariana's prints on it ( Ines must have been thinking on her feet to frame her sister).
Pato is ready for his date and bids goodbye to Luci and tells her who it's with. When she learns it's Germán she warns him he isn't for you.
Mariana explains what happened with some embellishments to make her self defense claim stick. Germán says, it was self defense, she isn't guilty.

Karina tells Roberto she is through with Enrique then kisses him. He pulls away and tells her they are through, he loves Luci. Gaby overheard from the stairs.
Luci and Natalia are on a fact finding mission at a nursing home ( looking for the auditor). They pretend they are looking for a place for a family member
Looks like Victoria is being put in Berta's team. Q's reason is that she and Joachin can not work together anymore because of their former relationship. Berta asks about the Leo case. He says it's likely being dropped for a self defense plea.
The 2 amateur detectives find there guy. After seeing the establishment they ask the guide if it's ok to talk with some of the residents to ask them how they like the place. It's permitted.
Pato calls German who stood him up for a busy caseload.
Well the judge isn't buying the self defense plea and Mariana is going to jail. We can't have a Telenovela without someone being put in the slammer now, can we.
Senor Mayan is the auditor. He's a bit senile. He thinks Luciana is a little girl. He remembers her and her grandmother. They killed her parents.

Jarifa, I watched the "late" addition and had the advantage of following along courtesy of your marvelous recap. Your highlights were illuminating as always.
By the sea, by the beautiful sea. My favorite scenes are with the boats at the pristine shoreline and gently cashing waves.
"Erika thinks it would be best if she explained things to Fabián on Estrella's behalf". Omnipresent Erika gums up the works. Yet again!! Yazmin is right there with her, her partner in stirring up any tempest in a teapot.
Marina's has a child? This is an unexpected development and I'm intrigued to see what happens. I had to smile in that Iker is totally mesmerized by everything Marina says and does. He isn't alone as it seems obvious Gabriel is similarly attracted :)
Rosalba is a raging tornado. So the seemingly unpayable debt wasn't enough. She wants total decimation for Meche and her family. I'm surprised Porfirio isn't crawling on his belly like the worm he is!
I agree about Pascual Jarifa. I wish the character had been written as a worthy rival to Valentin for Perla's affections.
Everyone (save Fabian) seemed more excited about Gabriel's upcoming nuptuals than Gabriel himself. 😊 I liked the women's gathering and Meche's heartfelt speech.
Sergio is just cringeworthy, isn't he?? For the first time, we seemed to have a bit of a preview of the next epi...

Thought I'd put up a quick recap, especially since La Jefa on Telemundo is preempted for the finale of some reality thing.
Deniz is the most adorable little boy, with the possible exception of my son at that age, a complete opposite with wavy blonde hair and big blue eyes.
Deniz still admires Atilla waving at him from that glass door facing Atilla's place. Later on he again mentions his being a superhero, defeating villains.
Feliz is not happy about her daughter working in a secondhand shop, saying Karsu should consider returning to Reha.
Reha's sister, can't remember her name, takes Tilsim on a shopping extravaganza, delighting the little capitalist.
Karsu and Feliz have organized a party. Something is said about celebrating the kids' new school, but it seemed more like a birthday party to me. Tilsim barely says thank you for her mother's gifts. Auntie bought both kids a tablet.
Atilla is at the party, and I'm grateful Reha is not. Ozun, who loves Deniz very much, feels sad seeing the train set Atilla bought. But these two men end up being very cordial. Ozun is sad when he leaves, but something is said about a couple of opportunities to work in Istanbul in his trade of fishing.
Atilla takes Deniz to Deniz's room to set up the train set and also to get his gun! The boy saw it there, and thought it was the one that has a flower coming out. Yikes! I'm amazed he didn't pull the trigger.
Reha's sister talks him into paying Feliz's hospital bill to suck up to Karsu.
Atilla's "reader" gives him an outline of what happens in Blindness. Now the guy is reading To Kill a Mockingbird (Matar Un Ruiseñor).
Atilla has offered to help Karsu organize the secondhand store, something she already volunteered for just so it would be in better shape the next day when opening up. She still hasn't even discussed her wages, but the owner seems like a nice man. Karsu and Atilla get along very well. He gives her the quick rundown on Blindness.
Karsu takes Deniz and Tilsim to their new school. Tilsim looks like she's ascending the scaffolding for a hanging.

Kat in SC: Mariana must've know that Ines was going to not only frame her for Leo's murder, but Ines throwing her own sister under the bus WOW: Cutthroat.
I see that Enrique & Francisco are plotting to kill Roberto: I see it being unsuccessful.
Now Senor Mayan tells the obvious: Luci's parents were whacked. BOOM! The plot continues to thicken.

Thanks Novelera for your synopsis. I hope you like this show more than Jefa. I think the sister's name is Lale. I was also glad to see Reha wasn't invited to the good luck party for going back to school. I thought Lale had convinced Reha to pay the school fees. I didn't realize until he showed up at the hospital that was the account he was settling. In true Reha form he had to accuse them of charging an arm and a leg. He probably had a valid point though. I guess high medical costs aren't reserved for the US.
Hard to compete with tablets and a new wardrobe with a gift of used clothing. And poor Ozun brought nothing. Deniz was just happy to see him so that was ok by him.
I really like the "reader". He adds some humor to the drama.

I didn't realize until he showed up at the hospital that was the account he was settling. In true Reha form he had to accuse them of charging an arm and a leg. He probably had a valid point though. I guess high medical costs aren't reserved for the US.
Hard to compete with tablets and a new wardrobe with a gift of used clothing. And poor Ozun brought nothing. Deniz was just happy to see him so that was ok by him.
I really like the "reader". He adds some humor to the drama.

Thanks for the kind words, Maggie, Babachita, and Kat. I somehow went into the Telemundo lane many years ago and haven't spent much time on the Univision novelas. So far I haven't seen a Turkish dizi that I disliked. Karsu fits nicely into this. I wish Karsu were tougher, but she's admirable. And the Reha actor is being suitably loathsome. I was certain when I began watching that Karsu would end up with Ozan, the man Deniz thinks of as his father, but Atilla and Karsu seem to get along so well. Now if he only weren't a mafioso!

I loved the aqua colored shirt Gabriel was wearing. The color of the ocean in the tropics!
SURPRISE!
Sergio is entertaining a woman in his bedroom when the door bell rings. He thinks it is the sushi he ordered. Nope, it is Beatriz. He says he is with another woman and will be with one after another until he gets "the test results" (hmmm) because Beatriz has not given him what he wants. She shows him the positive pregnancy test and tells him to get that whore out of his bedroom.
At Gabriel's "engagement/bachelor(?)" party, Fabián notices that Porfirio is pushing more beers on Nemesio and Oliver. He asks him to take it easy because Estrella needs them to be ready to fish the next morning. Porfirio says it isn't his job to look out for everyone's fishermen and if she goes out she will be fined.
The next morning, Perla cannot wake up her husband Nemesio or her son Oliver. The are drunk and still passed out. Estrella and her sisters decide to go out alone to collect the fish. When they cannot move the boat to the water on their own, Perla and Marina help them as well as other women in town. Even Meche shows up. When Estrella is worried that her mother is going to hurt her back helping out, Meche tells her her back can hurt her when she is in her coffin. Fabián is impressed with Estrella's efforts and wants to help out. Porfirio stops him reminding him that his job is to fine her for going out to fish.
Pascual is under the weather with intestinal problems due to his nerves over going out with Perla. He cannot go out with her. He sends Valentín to bring her some flowers and an apology. Valentín decides to be the gentleman and to take her out to eat anyway. They have a good time and Pascual's hopes are dashed when he overhears, via Valentín's phone, that Perla is not interested in him. After an adventure with a caricature drawing of him, he admits he is having a good time with Perla. Perla warns him that there is a lot that he doess't know about her. He says that he is open to whatever she has to tell him. He thinks she is special, nice, and a sensitive girl who has it all.
Erika was not expecting her mother Rosalba to darken her door. She makes it clear that she is not welcome. Rosalba only misses her when a man leaves her or she needs money. Rosalba asks her for a room. Erika agrees to give her a room but makes it clear that she needs to pay for it and also her food. She wants to know how long she will be staying. NO discount for her. She is lucky she is letting her stay there.
Gonzalo brings good news for Marina. One of his friends thinks he recognizes the place that Marina has been talking about. It is on an island where there is a bay with a small house. This is the only possible location that they could come up with. The only way to make sure it is the place is for Marina to go and see it for herself. It isn't close by but Gabriel thinks that they could make it there and back an in a half day. They make plans to go the next day. Brisa overhears them and throws her usual jealous fit. Gabriel laughs and assures her that nothing is going to happen between him and Marina on or off the boat.

Mariana gets dragged off to jail. German asks Robert if he's happy about it, to which he replies he wonders who benefits from her being in jail. Enrique of course turns it into a publicity stunt. A battered woman kills in self defense. He will fight for all women in such a situation. ( If he becomes president can he pardon her?).
Natalia is stuck talking to the nursing home director as Luci cutes pressing work commitments. She goes to Roberto and tells him that señor Mayan told them her parents were killed. (He also told the girls to apologize to Luciana, he feared for his life). Q interrupts their discussion with news of the press conference where Enrique put his spin on the arrest.
Adrian pulls Alex away from a group of students that are discussing professor Mateo's situation. Dani follows them. Adrian tells her about his aunt being arrested and the reason she killed Leo. He assures her his dad has the phone and recording. She says this is all happening because they didn't call an ambulance. He thinks they need to remain more united than ever, she disagrees. His driver takes him home and Dani comes up to Alex who tries to explain. He says she is too tied to Adrian. It's best if they separate and give each other space to see what and who she really wants.
Manalo hears Fabiola making moo cow noises as she tries to relearn speech. He touches her hand in approval and she doesn't flinch away.
Q, R and Luci discuss Mayan's bombshell. Q doesn't doubt it the truth, whoever did the fraud likely did the murders. Joachin knocks and enters. R and L leave. He tells Q he can't work with Jimenez ( I thought she was put on a different detail with Berta, maybe she was added to it instead). Q tells him he better learn to work with women.
R and L fight on the way to.the car. I thought perhaps it was a decoy scene. It's not. She still worries he will go back to Karina for Gaby's sake. She says you can't kiss without permission. He says may I, them goes in for a kiss... The Dr ( autopsy guy?) clears his throat. He needs to talk to Roberto.
Back at HQ the press conference didn't accomplish what they hoped for. Memo just wants his mother free. Pato arrives. Why was I kept in the dark? Did you try to use tia's fate to garner more votes? Francisco twiddles his thumbs on the desk.
Luci gets a call from Natalia. She sends her some photos from her parents funeral. There is one with a bearded gentleman that she remembers seeing with Pato in the company photos. Neither of them recognize him.
The Dr analyzed some more prints. I think from the murder weapon, or just from the scene. The prints Jimenez lifted match Ines with 99.8% accuracy.
Francisco explains to Pato about Mariana defending herself. He has no idea what the judge was thinking. Pato is just worried about his aunt. He asks can I see her. Enrique says no. He leaves. Memo ( who has received a call from Vicenta? Is that the reporter or the cousin of the other candidates campaign?) follows him out. Francisco asks why don't you tell him the truth. Enrique says that won't work. He and Luci are irreproachable.
Back to Ines fingerprints at the scene. I think they have a problem because they didn't get her prints legally. He tells the Dr to check all the prints (tire tracks) from the cars at the scene.

I really enjoyed Valentin and Perla's unexpected outing. It seems she likes her food spicy and Valentin was quite impressed (as was I). Perla has personality, intelligence, humor and beauty, none of which was lost on him. No spoiler but I'm sure sad sack Pascual will be the reason he backs away due to loyalty to his friend. Romance delayed but surely not thwarted.

Memo catches up with Pato. Pato can't understand why memo didn't tell him about his mother. Memo had confidence in German. Pato mentions that German stood him up without explanation which of course makes Memo jealous. The two are going to look over photos together at lunch. Pato now gets a call from Vicenta. Ah it's the maid at Enrique's house. She's worried about Adrian who has locked himself in his room yelling, and crying like a maniac.
Roberto, who had received a text from Omar earlier, meets him at their smoky bar. Omar wants to know if anything new about Frijol has come to light. R asks have the Ferrer's pressed you in any way. I noticed Manolo seemed a bit conflicted about Fabiola. I think it’s because he knows the bad guys will kill her if they know her mental status is improving. The good guys convinced the doctor to play along saying she would never recover. So, Manolo is both thrilled and terrified as to what her recovery might bring.

I just love the writing in this show. The back-and-forth between Karsu and her mom is so believable, and also so well-acted. I also love the humor woven in here and there. Cedvet, who is ready to kill when asked, and indeed prides himself on his workmanship, somehow seems gentle in person, and now has developed an interest in literature and makes very insightful comments about what he’s read. And it was fun watching everyone trying to figure out who sent the children’s trunks to Karsu.
It’s wonderful to have complex characters who aren’t stereotypes. Karsu’s mom is fussy and vain, but also warm and very sweet with the kids. She does come through with childcare when needed and after all is providing a home for everyone. She has enough values to know Reha is bribing her with the hospital payment, and does agonize over that a while, then ultimately caves and goes ahead and tells Karsu to give him another chance. She knows she shouldn’t be bought, but that bill was weighing heavily on her. And then there’s Atilla who is startlingly authoritative with the henchman, but can be soft, sweet and kind, and is very taken with Deniz.
It sounds like Atilla’s dad is in prison! I’m guessing Atilla holds the authority while he’s there.

I just don't know how Karsu is going to make it on minimum wage, so I understand Feliz encouraging a reconciliation. If she did get back with him she needs to figure a way to squirrel away some money. Seems like jewelry is out of Reha's gift range. It was funny how Karsu said after he left, another huge bouquet of flowers. Shed appreciate school uniforms o food a lot more. I hope the lawyer does convince her to get child support from him.

Sergio is a piece of work! I can’t imagine why anyone would want him. Did someone mention him being Azul’s dad? Estrella must have been very young and Sergio must be a smooth talker. But I was trying to figure out how he’s connected to the fishing village, and that’s probably how. I wonder if Beatriz is really pregnant.
I think Fabian is eventually going to figure out that Porfirio is trying to prevent Estrella from paying back the loan. That should start him investigating.
Did we know Rosalba was Erika’s mother? It sure was a surprise to me. Things will get interesting with both of them trying to ruin Meche and Estrella!
I’m looking forward to Gabriel and Marina at sea looking for her island. Should be beautiful scenery, and hopefully Gabriel will wake up to his feelings for Marina.

He brings flowers and is supposedly trying to win her back but ends up being mean. And then later takes credit for the boxes! Karsu should make him pay for more than just the children. She should be getting money too.

Agree totally with you, Maggie. I am really enjoying the writing in this dizi. And it's on the light side, such a nice change from dire happenings in some other. It's hard to see how Karsu will make it financially, but a decent lawyer should get her child support at the least. She says she's refusing everything so Reha will have nothing to hold over her head. But we'll see. And, yes, the mafiosi are entertaining. The older man is more typical and is keeping an eye on Atilla, something he didn't love. But the killer/reader makes me smile every time he's on screen.

A.MAR Capítulo 13 Parte 1
We found out a lot tonight like Brisa is so lazy she cannot even help her mother and sisters pick the rocks out of the beans.
SERGIO/ESTRELLA/BEATRIZ
Beatriz brings Sergio the results of a lab pregnancy test confirming her pregnancy She pushes him to get married. He tells his father the good news and that the wedding will be next week. What he doesn't know is that he is the object of a scam by Beatriz and his right hand man Juanjo. Juanjo asks whose baby is she carrying, his or Sergio's. She suggests that they consider it to be Sergio's no matter what because with the birth of that child, she will be able to to control Sergio's company and they will make off very well as they planned. What Beatriz and Juanjo don't know is that Sergio's doctor tells him that the lab tests they ran on him show that he is infertile due to the fact that he has varicoceli ( from what I found online, it is like having varicose veins in the scrotum). Sergio has had the condition for too long for it to be treated. Sergio insists that Beatriz is pregnant. The doctor insists that cannot be the father of that baby. Sergio confronts Beatriz and asks whose baby is she carrying. He roughly grabs her arms and demands that she tell him the truth. The doctor told him he is sterile. Beatriz is shocked and confused.
Estrella picks up a magazine with a photo of Sergio on the cover calling him the most coveted man in Mexico.She starts to cry as she remembers when she told Sergio that she was pregnant, he gave her a check for 70,000 pesos (3600 dollars), told her to get an abortion and to get lost. Azul sees his name on the magazine cover and asks her mother if he is her father. She remembered that Sergio was the name of her father. Estrella says that it is her father but knows little about him. He left before she was born He never came back to them and since it is not good to force a person to be in your life when they don't want to, she raised Azul on her own with all of the love she had. Azul asks to keep the magazine and gazes at the cover photo of her father.
EVERYTHING ELSE
Marina is still the object of hatred of Brisa. Brisa visits her at the restaurant and tells her she wants to order a plate of "stop flirting with my novio" and threatens her with making her into a "mermaid ceviche" if she puts any moves on Gabriel on their island trip. Marina thinks she must feel very insecure to talk to her like that. Marina reminds her that she barely knows Gabriel while he has been with Brisa for two years. That should tell Brisa something. With food and water on board, we see Gabriel and Marina in a boat en route to the island sailing over smooth seas.
Whoopsie! Oliver is Teresa's grandson.
Oliver thinks he has made a connection with Yazmín: they both live with their grandmother's when Javier pops up in his truck ready to take her to the hotel. Oliver asks why she never told him she had a novio. She says it never came up but they could never be more than friends anyway. Oliver isn't interested.
Erika gives Yazmín and Javier their hotel room aka as their "love nest" Javier has plenty of pills with him for Yazmín.
Estrella tells her mother that they were able to fulfill Gerardo's order.
Meche tells Brisa that the time has come for Gabriel to formally ask for her hand.

Rosalba shows up at Porfirio's office to get the rest of her money. He refuses not wanting to draw attention to themselves. He knows if he gives it all to her at one time, she will go crazy spending it all at once. He agrees to show her the stash in the safe. She looks like she is trying to see what the combination is as he opens it. He says he will continue giving her her share a little bit at a time. He starts to kiss her to move on to another topic. Erika has to go talk to Estrella so Rosalba decides to go along so she can give her condolences on Ulises' death to Meche.

For the life of me I couldn't figure out what they were doing with the beans; I would never have guessed they were removing rocks!
I was so wanting to know what Brisa was taunting Marina about. Thanks to you I now know she "...tells her she wants to order a plate of "stop flirting with my novio" and threatens her with making her into a "mermaid ceviche." I had to shake my head and smile despite her threats. Brisa is so selfish and self serving. I couldn't believe what she said to Estrella about the wedding dress. Interesting that she, the laziest, who refuses to work unless forced has the nicest wardrobe of any of the sisters! 😊
Interesting that Beatriz might well have gotten away with passing her child off as Sergio's. He is so cold and callous and completely unappealing. I'm surprised Estrella fell for him although he likely turned on his smarmy, fake charm.
Erika manipulating Yazmin was cringeworthy. Even though Fabian rejected Erika, we know she won't take no for an answer. Javier is equally disgusting.

I was so wanting to know what Brisa was taunting Marina about. Thanks to you I now know she "...tells her she wants to order a plate of "stop flirting with my novio" and threatens her with making her into a "mermaid ceviche." I had to shake my head and smile despite her threats. Brisa is so selfish and self serving. I couldn't believe what she said to Estrella about the wedding dress. Interesting that she, the laziest, who refuses to work unless forced has the nicest wardrobe of any of the sisters! 😊
Interesting that Beatriz might well have gotten away with passing her child off as Sergio's. He is so cold and callous and completely unappealing. I'm surprised Estrella fell for him although he likely turned on his smarmy, fake charm.

Juegos #55 part 1
This first comment will be from memory as I watched half the show last night, spent the past 30 minutes trying to resolve a missing post on the Telemundo page, so I'm frustrated!!!! I still have to watch the second half and recap before the children awaken.
Pato overhears Roberto and Luci talking about the probable guilt of his mother in the murder of Leo and we see in a flashback scene everything that Adrian told him. He knows it all now, including the fact that German was involved in the cover up and that Luci likely knows everything because the fiscal furia and she are dating and working together. What will be do with this information? Hell be abrupt with memo and Luci for starters, though he does apologize to her. Memo has come through and with someone's help( not sure who's) he has managed to identify the names of the people they didn't recognize in the photos of their company. Lo and behold when he gives them to Luci she realizes that the financial officer is the same guy in the Ferrer company and the capital crecient company.
Meanwhile the wheels continue to turn on the mechanism of getting Roberto killed. Time is of the essence as Enrique tells Francisco that R is chasing the probable guilt of Ines in the murder. E calls R to arrange for him to meet him at a specific location to discuss the case. Joachin overheard Roberto's side of the conversation, and Roberto has conveniently repeated the location to Enrique so he knows where the meeting will occur. Francisco is with Enrique during this conversation and he will set up the hit.
Pato apologizes to Luci for being harsh with her but wonders why the financial guys important? She tells him her father was innocent and was killed to keep him from revealing the truth. Pato is shocked.
In jail, Mateo brings Mariana some cash for her protection money.
Pato gets the story about how Joachin fed Luci false reports etc. Roberto hired an penmanship expert and discovered her father's signature was forged, etc. Pato gets a call from German who apologizes standing him up. Pato says I know now your loyalty is to Enrique and co. Luci asks why are you so hard on him. Pato says I know that Adrian and Memo hit the Saldana boys. German was involved in the cover up.

Jimenez talks about how Joachin flattered her, raved about her beauty and youth (ouch to Berta) and that she nearly disc7who his other woman was at a luxury hotel but her jealousy ruined that hunt. As she gets up to leave someone manages to spill Berta's coffee on her desk. Jimenez, picks up Berta's phone which had gotten wet and notes that Joachin sent B a text about the coming meeting between E and R.
Pato tells her Alex was also there. Luci says it's everything that Robert suspected but he has no proof. Pato wonders will she tell R. She seems conflicted, as does he. They agree they both need to do what's right
Victoria and Roberto play pool in the smokey bar and discuss the various cases.
Karina is playing Gaby some more. Daddy kissed me this morning. I think we will be getting back together.
Enrique and Ines have a night of passion. Guess they've ended their relationship.
Looks like the hired gun is friends with Fermin, Enrique's dad.
Bertha and Joachin are back at it also. I thought she sent him packing as her lover.

Daniel has a vision. He's walking down the road and it's Ana that is lying in the road having been hit by Adrian's car. Luci recalls him to the present.
Enrique is at a rally giving a speech. The assassin is in the audience. Also Joachin is in the audience. As Enrique leaves the stage he meets up with Roberto. The crowd surrounds them. R calls for space. The assassin takes a shot. Joachin tackles him to the ground. The crowd thinks it was J that fired and turn on him. He yells I'm the police. Meanwhile people are running for their lives. The guy hit Enrique in the shoulder. He collapses.

What an amazing episode, but what a heartbreaking episode. And the acting!
Reha is stupid beyond belief and his sister can’t get through to him exactly how stupid he is.

This was hard to watch with Karsu’s older daughter choosing to go with her father. I could feel the sadness in Karsu. The actress conveys so much emotion.
Lale is still supporting Reha, but she is increasingly frustrated. He is such a total jerk. Wait until he finds out how expensive private school will be!
It’s fun watching Atilla’s empathy for Karsu. He immediately could tell something was wrong from the dejected way she was walking.
Now we have an idea why Filiz is so worried about her appearance. She lost her husband to a younger woman. Karsu sees the parallels to her situation.
I did sense some inner conflict in Karsu’s daughter, so maybe there is glimmer of hope.there.
It’s time for Atilla, Devin’s superhero, to do something. But, Atilla is a somewhat flawed superhero!

It was good to see more of what happened in 2010. So it looks like Karsu's sister and Old stepdad are a couple. Ick. The guy looked 60 at least in the flashback. Sister would be 20 or a bit more. Feliz is 56 now, so she would have been 42 then.
I wasn't surprised Ilsim chose to stay with Dad. She has been so unhappy and Reha spoils her. I hope having the other woman back in the picture gives Karsu more ammunition and gumption to get something from Reha in a divorce. I still don't understand why he insists on remaining married. Hande would make a fine second wife for him, and she is young enough to start a second family.

Yep, that was a heartbreaking episode. Thanks for the excellent comments, Maggie, Babachita and Kat. Wow, the theory of the daughter leaving with her stepdad did not occur to me. It makes perfect sense as there have been slight mentions of Feliz having another daughter who was not spoken of.
Karsu being the wonderful woman that she is she didn't do what I would have done. She was already making a scene in the restaurant. I'm sure I'd probably have yelled out loud about catching Reha and the other woman almost in flagrante delicto. I was not surprised Tilsum stayed with her father. The girl has been capricious, envious, and selfish the whole way through. Yes, she did show regret, mentioning to her father that her mother was crying.
Also, I grew up as a bit of a Daddy's girl. My father and I shared a love of books. He took me to the library every two weeks for a stack of delightful things to read. I was interested in his interests, being a Civil War buff and ardent admirer of Abraham Lincoln. My great grandfather fought at Gettysburg and spent 8 months in a Confederate prisoner of war camp after that. My mother wanted more help around the house and was more of a disciplinarian. Of course, once I became a mother myself all those disagreements faded away as if they'd never been there.
