A.MAR Capítulo 16 Parte 1 Notes from the Couch . . . "A little bit of this and that" edition We were treading water in this episode but that was okay. Coca Cola had a great product placement with the ceviche supper scene.

Sergio Lurks In Estrella's Mind and Azul's Imagination
Estrella tells her sisters and her mother about Azul calling her father. She makes it clear that she doesn't want him to be a part of her life. Meche makes them all agree to support Estrella. Azul tells Erika that her mother was not happy with her trying to contact her father and ended her call. No, she didn't mention that Erika had helped her. Later, Azul tells her mother that she knows that her father didn't want her but she still has this need to meet him and talk to him. Estrella says she is young and that she has time to think about it. If the time comes when she wants to meet her father, she needs to talk to her first because it will be a decision that will change everything for both of them. Estella will support her daughter in whatever her decision is.

The Endless Wake for Granny Gertrudis Continues . . .
Here I thought she was cremated already but she wasn't. Geez, this is going on forever. Azul is at the wake where Javier shows up with her pill supply. Fabián sits outside of the wake while Gonzalo is inside looking after Yazmín and offering her familial support. Gabriel suggests he go into the wake and give his daughter his support whether she wants him there or not. Fabián goes into the wake. Yazmín is enraged upon seeing him and screams that she hates him. He grabs her and hugs her with all his might as she tries to free herself. He tells her how much he loves her and how much she means to him. She makes it clear that she is not about to give him another chance because he was never there for her when she needed him. What she would give for him to be in the coffin and not her granny. She wishes he was buried and not her mother. He is dead to her! A distraught Fabián leaves telling her that he will be outside if she needs anything. He loves her more than she knows. Fabián thanks his father for taking Yazmín to get her granny's ashes. Yay! The wake is officially over!!!

Erika Seems to Have Taken Permanent Residence in LA LA Land
Erika is upset that after all she has done for Fabián and Yazmín, that he doesn't want her. She is the woman that he needs. Yazmín and she are great friends. She would be an easy fit as a step-mother. He thanks her for helping his daughter bur he never asked for her help. He adds that he has been honest with her. She disagrees because he told her that he didn't want to get serious until he got custody of his daughter back. He reminds her that she was the one who broke up with him even before that happened. He feels nothing for her. He is peeved that she told Estrella that they were still together when they hadn't been for at least a month before Estrella arrived. He ends up in admitting that yes he is interested in Estrella.

Curiosity Kills the Cat aka Valentín
Valentín goes to see Perla to support Pascual. While he is there, he listens to a voice mail on Perla's phone from Oliver wondering what would happen to Pascual if he knew that she liked somebody so close to him. Valentín has the idea that he is talking about him. Finding out this info, leads to a very weird interaction with Perla. Later, he confronts Oliver and asks him if Perla likes him. We haven't heard the response to that question yet.
 

A.MAR Parte 2

Gabriel
Iker is sad about Marina moving out but feels better when he finds a drawing of a mermaid and a pirate on parchment that she has left under his pillow. She has written "Always together" and signed it "affectionately." Gabriel sends Iker over to spend time with Azul so he can have some alone time with Brisa. Iker thinks that is pretty yucky (as do I). Gbriel has prepared Brisa's favorite meal: fresh lobster that he just caught that morning. She is all excited when she hears that Marina has moved out. Gabriel tells her he is only interested in them focusing on their relationship and the family they want to build. They kiss. Earlier, Gabriel tells Fabián about how he almost kissed Brisa on the island but then stopped himself. Fabián does not think Gabriel should go ahead with the wedding to Brisa and thinks that he needs to listen to his heart and not his head. People run into problems when they do not do that.

New Spark Plugs and Hot Ceviche
Oliver was supposed to do maintenance on the fishing boat's motor and neglected to do so. So, when Nemencio goes to start it, it is not working. It turns out that it needs new spark plugs which cannot be delivered until tomorrow. Estrella needs to go and set her nets. She calls Fabián to rent a boat from him. He tells her the rental rate is high but he is going to charge her some of the delicious ceviche her family makes but it has to be hot (spicy) or else it won't count. She agrees and brings it to him later that night. Erika just happens to see them as she skulks around every corner. Fabián asks Estrella to join him. She does and they talk about their love for their children and their challenges. They sing each other's praises. They take turns grabbing each others' hands.

That is it for tonight.
 

Juegos # 58 part

Omar saves Adrian from jumping. Adrian confesses to him that he killed Tobi, which Omar already knows. He gives him more love and understanding than his own parents have done. He tells him to confess and free himself. The words that were graffitied on the wall. Turns out that Omar did it

Berta manages to get Robertocs gun from him and they walk out all chummy. Q asks one of the receptionists or someone if she has seen him. Yes, he and Berta just left . They looked like lovers. Q realizes he's in danger. Meanwhile Roberto has saved himself and Berta is arrested in the parking lot after getting a broken nose from the car door he slammed into her.

Memo thinks Fermin is hallucinating and tells him Mateo is his dad.

Enrique is using the ball in his shoulder as a campaign plus.

Berta claims she wanted to keep her record clean on the Capital Creciente case because it was hers 20 years ago, that's why she fed false info. Q isn't buying it, whose really behind it? She decided to frame Luci's dad since he was already dead and it would look good on her resume to have closed the case

Memo tells Enrique his dad's in bad shape. He confused me with 2 of your sons.

Alex visits Clara. She sees the bruises on her arms that Mateo gave her. You need to report him she says but Clara says Mateo says the Ferrer's will kill me if I do. She says you need to tell Daniel the truth. Go away

Not sure if it is the judge that sentenced Mariana, but a guy comes to tell q and Roberto that the self defense is a legitimate plea and they will be releasing Mariana.

Luci finds Adrian. He says you know too? Yes. But I'm hear to help you and you are my brother whom I will always love.

Jarifa, thank you for another exceptional recap. Was there a lot more dialogue than usual? I had a tough time following most of this so am particularly appreciative of your oh so helpful and vividly descriptive dialogue translations.

Loved "New Spark Plugs and Hot Ceviche" and "Erika Seems to Have Taken Permanent Residence in LA LA Land".

As if Gabriel in and of himself isn't enough to swoon over, his cooking Brisa's favorite meal (lobster no less) is but one more reason for me to sigh happily. I was glad to see that he confided to Fabian that is he is harboring thoughts of Marina. Fabian gave him good advice but it doesn't look as though he's taking it to heart.

"Erika just happens to see them as she skulks around every corner" was perfect. Erika must have Dorothy's ruby slippers enabling her to transport faster than I Dream of Jeannie folding her arms and blinking! I had to laugh as she listened to every word of Gonzalo's conversation.

"What she would give for him to be in the coffin and not her granny" had me grimacing.Gertrudis' (God NOT rest her soul) poisoning of Yaz's mind against her father has resulted in pure vitriol and her treatment of him is almost impossible to watch.

I was lost when Valentin listened to Perla's voice mail. No wonder he is was acting even goofier than usual! I wonder if Oliver will spill the beans.

Not a lot of action as you noted but (Jazmin's histrionics aside) it was an enjoyable episode.

Thank you for your explaining and clarifying so much that I missed!

Juegos #58 part 2
Gaby and Karina argue. She is starting to see her mother is manipulative. Later she looks at fa.ily photos on Karina's laptop and there is one with Enrique kissing mom. She remembers the night she heard someone with her and recognizes it was Enrique.

Roberto visits Mariana in prison. He wants to know what happened the night Leo died. He thinks she was used as a chess piece and is not the actual killer

Gaby calls Luci because she is sad and dad isn't answering the phone. Luci is in her way. Karina has come downstairs after pouting to discover Gaby is gone and sees the photo of her and Enrique, realizing that Gaby has also seen it

Dad tells Alex her only path forward is to tell Daniel the truth. She is afraid she will lose him

Rebecca is chewed out by Ines and blames Adrian s problems on Alex.

Meanwhile Dad and Alex talk. He is supportive Rebecca comes home and blames Alex for not standing by Adrian. Alex realizes the casual encounters she has had with Adrian were because her mother instigated the. Alex says she loves Daniel. Dad tells Rebecca to leave when he hears what she has done. She agrees. Daniel calls. She tries to set something up for the evening but he has plans with his mom. Tomorrow ( which means he'll learn the truth from someone else).

Susy knew it was Omar that did the graffiti. He tells her he needed to get the truth out. But when he spoke with Adrian and he asked forgiveness it lifted a weight from my soul.

Looks like Adrian is still contemplating suicide, or he's just taking more pills.

Ines is packing. .your lover keeps sending you messages. I'm out of here.

Gaby is with Luci and Roberto in a park. Luci had sent Karina a message letting her know. When Karina shows up Gaby tells her she is a liar and she doesn't want to be with her. Take me to your apartment dad...

(Novelera – I left you a response Saturday, in case you didn’t see it!)

Can somebody explain the beginning to me? Is his dad in prison? What were his instructions? They’re selling their stuff (whatever it is) to other countries and he’s supposed to go check out something. What?

I just love the chameleon-like changes the Atilla actor brings off. He’s a totally different person when he’s in his mafioso mode.

In fact, I’m astonished by all the wonderful acting. Not a dud actor in the bunch – they’re all outstanding. It was great getting the backstory on the breakup of Filiz’s marriage. It was so artfully depicted. Her happiness with her husband, him watching out the window as the daughter goes off on a date with the young man in the hot sports car. And the scene where he announced his leaving! No tears, no dramatics, just the sense of how momentous it was. He doesn’t look angry but rather, sad. Filiz is just stunned. The slow-mo as he walks out the door -beautifully done! It just goes to show less is more.

Those of you who guessed he was going off with Filiz’s other daughter – you are geniuses. It sure hadn’t entered my mind when you pointed it out. And I had the feeling that when she returned home, she wasn’t happy to be there. I wonder if he’s still alive? Why are the windows shuttered?

Well, we got a clear picture on how Reha views marriage. Poor Karsu! Oh and we got an idea of why Karsu rushed into marriage to get away from her mother. Filiz can be annoying at times, but not so bad you’d have to flee. So now we know she was bouncing off the walls after her husband left (with her daughter no less!) and Karsu had to deal with it.

Diana, yes, this was an easy breezy enjoyable episode. Loved the “pay me with ceviche”. I, also, found it difficult to watch how Yazmín treated her father. How long until someone starts to wonder why she always looks half asleep unless she is screaming at her father? Maybe her 18 th birthday can come sooner rather than later and she can skip town. Oh, but she has no money . . . The drawing that Marina left for Iker was such a sweet gesture. Omnipresent Erika is bordering on the comic. So funny!

Maggie, I haven't yet seen last night's episode. It's on my DVR. I had to rise early for a DMV appointment. Success! I needed to get a Real ID. Like a lot of women my birth certificate and current name are not the same. I provided certified birth certificate from Ohio and a Dissolution of Marriage in a California County that shows my current name. I had a mortgage statement and a utility bill to prove where I lived. The appt was at 7:40 AM across the Bay in Fremont. I was out the DMV door by 8AM. Yay! But I went to bed earlier than usual. I watched one Telemundo novela, Velvet, and that was it. Since I retired my normal night owl tendencies are in full force. So I had about 4.5 hrs of sleep but was functional.

Has anyone figured out why Blogger stopped recognizing someone who's been on it forever? I put up some posts on Telemundo and realized I'd been reduced to Anonymous. For 3 or 4 times I had to sign in with my gmail account, the one I only ever use to post here. Now, it seems to be back to normal and when I log into Caray, I'm there with my digital identity as always.

Novelera, I have been having the same problem, but only on my tablet, which is what I use the majority of the time. It is so annoying. If only we could figure out why.

Maggie I'm not sure what Atilla is up to . His dad seems to be in a maximum security prison and is still giving orders in their "company". The new way of transporting the goods is with a group that goes to other countries doing fairs. I'm picturing entertainment type fairs with a Ferris wheel and games, but it could be reneissaince festival type perhaps, or gypsy caravans. Who knows. Atilla will go on one of the trips to scope it out to see if it's feasible. Not sure what he is doing in Lale's office. Has anyone figured out what her job is?

Irmak and Adrian as a couple just is weird. He's an old man! She found a boyfriend of an appropriate age, why did she hook up with him. I still think he must have molested her and brainwashed her somehow. She certainly doesn't look happy in her riches. Adrian and her leave Feliz, but I guess Feliz was kicked out of the house in the divorce as it seems they live there still.

I'm a convert to Turkish stories now. This is excellent.

Thanks, Maggie and Kat for the excellent comments. I had Pilates tonight, and I was starving because of the early appt. at the DMV put my eating schedule out of whack. So I had to cook myself a good meal after I got home from Pilates at 8PM. Long story short, I finally watched the Monday episode. I was all set to watch two of them, but no Tuesday episode was there. Because it was past 10PM when I started to watch, I couldn't tell if it was preempted for something. If there was an episode, I'll have to watch it online.

Yes, that was an amazing episode all the way around. I also noticed Atilla's personality changes. He's almost like a split personality. When he's in business mode, his hair is slicked back straight, and he doesn't smile. Kat, it sounds like you got more out of the talk about the "family" business than I did. I had very sketchy and intermittent Spanish captions and there's no lipreading since they're speaking Turkish. I thought maybe Atilla was doing what another guy did in the dizi La Familia. Kind of like a Michael Corleone thing, trying to make the crime family go completely straight.

Thanks also, Kat for identifying Lale as the woman Atilla was meeting with. Unless I can tell by what they're doing, I get Lale and Hande mixed up. That's a very interesting connection now with Atilla.

Irmek is the estranged sister. I'm so glad they gave us the background. They already showed Adnan with his suitcases ready to leave, and someone coming down the stairs. I thought it was the daughter, but it could have been a maid. They never lack for maids in Turkish dizis.

But the dizis let us figure things out. Telenovelas often seem like they're written for people who want everything spelled out. Some of the scenes are SO obvious I just groan. I got it already! That is the other woman, she's seductive, and she's after the heroine's man.

I thought Feliz was selling some gold, but she only pawned it. Innocent me, I thought she was going to use if for household expenses, but she went for a beauty treatment.

Reha just gets worse and worse. He explained about taking her children away and his belief that Karsu would just come back because of that. His sister gets exasperated with him, but she indulges him as well. She never really gives him what for, like he so richly deserves. Deniz already doesn't want anything to do with him, and now Selin got a look at Daddy Dearest.

He just wants things the way they were, Karsu taking care of everything and he gets to be proud paterfamilias. He blamed the kids' behavior at the aquarium (which wasn't that bad at all) on Karsu spoiling them!

Looks like Karsu is now working two jobs, doing cleaning at night at the school of one of the two younger kids. She really gave Irmek a piece of her mind when she showed up! IIRC she told Karsu that she and Adnan were still happily married. Hmmm. I wonder if he's senile and that's why she's reaching out.

Novelera, like you, I didn't watch the entire show Monday. So after reading Maggie's post I researched the Atilla scenes. The next day English subtitles are also available so I went that route to determine what was said.

I also thought that Feliz was using the gold to pay some bills. I did realize she went to a pawn shop. I keep expecting someone to mug these women and steal their money!

I thought in an earlier episode Karsu called her mother out for not speaking to her daughter in how ever many years it's been (13?). I was not expecting her to chew her sister out like that.

There was no show last night. It was preempted by futbol per rgv chick's post, and I sifted through the stations last night just before 10 and futbol it was. I watched Velvet on Telemundo instead at ten as the 9 p.m. showing was pushed to 10.

A.MAR #17 Notes from the Couch . . . Parte 1

The KISS and its Aftermath

(I kept thinking of that Hall and Oates song form 1980 "Your kiss , your kiss is on my list as one of the best things in life." David Zepeda has cute smile. )

After the ceviche supper, Estrella tells Fabián that he should have hope that his daughter will be on good terms again with him. She cites her own anger at her father when he sent her to the city so she could have a career rather than having to fish. She eventually realized that he had done that out of his love for her. Fabián feels like he has known her forever as they talk. He asks her when she is going to stop hiding what she feels. He ends up kissing her and she kisses him back. She quickly makes it clear that they have no future because of Erika. Fabián says that she broke up with her before Estrella arrived. Even knowing that, she cannot do that to her.

Estrella leaves and Erika is outside demanding to know why she was at Fabián's. Estrella tries to explan and says they are just friends but Erika doesn't believe her. When Estrella asks why Erika didn't tell her that she and Fabián had broken up, Erika says she knows that Estrella would have just thrown herself at him if she had. She continues to insult Estrella who insists that nothing would ever happen between her and Fabián.

Erika tells her mother about her situation. Rosalba says she better be ready to fight tooth and claw for Fabián or she will end up alone and to take it from her, that is no fun.

Estrella tells her mother about her situation. She feels so strongly for Fabián but cannot betray Erika. Meche says that if what she feels for Fabián is that strong, she needs to go for it. Estrella is still hung up on hurting Erika.

Gonzalo notices that his son is looking happy. Fabián tells him why he is in such a good mood. He hasn't felt what he feels for Estrella in a long time.

Fabián as head of the union makes an appointment for Estrella to come see him at the office, Truth of the matter, that is the only way he can get her to talk to him. He wants a relationship with her. She is stuck on Erika's feeling. He suggests that she should start thinking about what she wants and what they could have together. She sees hurting another person as having serious consequences. He thinks they could face those consequences together and not waste the opportunity for love that life is giving them.

Brisa's Predicament

After the lobster dinner, Gabriel wants to do something with Brisa like watch a movie, take photos. She ends up on her phone so he goes into Iker's room. He takes the drawing Marina made, lies down and has fond memories of her on the island. Brisa comes in and is upset seeing him there thinking of Marina. He says that she lived there and he cannot forget her so quickly. Brisa is concerned that Brisa is always going to be there between them. She informs her how it hurts her every time he goes to help or assist her. She wants him to stay away from Brisa for their sake as a couple. He agrees and will stay true to his word. He reminds her they are getting married and all will be well. When Iker wants him to go to the jewelry store in the capital where the designer of Marina's pendant is, he tells his son he cannot go because he has something else he needs to do. Iker suspects it has to do with Brisa and ends up going with Azul, Marina and Valentín.

Brisa tells her mother about her dilemma. Meche thinks she should call off the wedding due to her insecurities. That is no way to start married life. Brisa gets hysterical saying she will be getting married to Gabriel come hell or high water.
 

A.MAR Parte 2

Everything Else

Valentín manages to wheedle out the identity of Perlas crush from Oliver. Since it is him, he could never hurt Pascual so he decides to be the kind of guy that Perla wouldn't like and makes it sound like he is interested in Marina.

Juanjo has tried to trace the call from Sergio's daughter. It was not a success because it was a pay-as-you-go phone. Juanjo says if Sergio could find Estrella and her daughter he would be able to fulfill his father's conditions to head the company. Sergio says nothing but remembers the doctor telling him he is sterile. He tells Juanjo he is ready to leave. These woman at this club are shallow just like Beatriz.

Yazmín arrives home carrying granny's Gertudis' ashes and looking strung out. No, seh isn't hungry. She wants to go lie down.
 

A.MAR

Jarifa, I had several questions and needed clarification on several scenes but as always, your delightful recap answered and explained everything to perfection!

For all her mewling and petulant feet stamping, Brisa realizes full well that despite their protestations, there is an undeniable spark between Gabriel and Marina. Instead of admitting the obvious, Gabriel continues to push Marina away while giving in to Brisa's demands. When Brisa said "...she will be getting married to Gabriel come hell or high water" there is no doubt she means it!

Fabian was quite sexily persuasive, giving Estrella that little kiss on her shoulder that seemed to send chills up her spine. David Zepeda is very appealing here. That said, Estrella continuing to use Erika as an excuse is getting a bit tiresome :)

Valentin is a very loyal (but foolish) friend. So now he's going to pretend he's interested in Marina? Another character in denial willing to sacrifice his happiness.

Rosalba is such a kind, supportive mother isn't she? No wonder Erika is the way she is...

No spoiler but I fear Sergio is going to find his daughter. And Estrella...

Jeez Enrique....he's just a boy that can't say no. I really don't like this telenovela as I lost track of who all these interbred ass hats are but tonite jumping his sister in law. Egads.. When it showed Sister in law
from the back being she was so skinny and bruised. Prison was not good to her. I now see no redemption for any of these people except the baby. A small low grade nuclear device is probably the best bet

I'm kinda loving Attila at this point. I forgive him anything. Of course Reha sinks lower and lower. I guess Filez was too old and creepy husband kicked her to the curb. Now weird guy's mother/sister (some old chick) that loves discussing fertility at dinner is putting the screws to have weird guy reproduce.

Hoping Attila beats Reha into next Wednesday.

Juegos #59 part 1

Roberto chews Karina out for hurting Gaby. He's seeking custody of her. Luci continues to keep Roberto at arms length for Gaby's sake. She is processing a lot. Be patient, out time will come

Enrique calls his right hand man about something. Memo is on it. But not before Francisco gets in his face about becoming his right hand man. Memo lights into Francisco for his past horrible treatment of him and tells him he's dirt and he can arrange for him to meet his maker. Francisco grabs his chest as he's seated, then grabs his pills.

Karina visits Enrique. You are the worst mistake I've made in my life. He reminds her he never put a pistol to her head, she knew he was married. You have aspirations of becoming first Lady. That warrants a slap. She ends up threatening to expose all the killings, but not sure.

After a fun day together with Roberto and Luci, Gaby falls asleep easily. Luci, when Roberto tells her he wants to get custody, advises him not to make decisions in the heat of the moment. She also needs her mother.

Daniel and Elena talk. Elena is moving forward with life, not wallowing in pain. She hopes Susy will forgive her and accept help with Mario.

Mariana returns home to an empty house, except for a maid. She goes up to her room where she remembers the night of Leo's death. She is wiping down the drinking glass. She finds an earring in the floor. Most likely belongs to Ines. No it's a button off a shirt she gave Ines for her birthday we discover.

Dani takes a walk down memory lane, aka the road Tobi and he were hit on. He has a flashback to their conversation. Tobi is crying I'm not ready for such responsibility. Dani wonders if it's Fabiola. No she's just a friend but he doesn't say who it is. Dani reminds him a child is a blessing. Wham, hit by the car. He remembers everything. It's daylight now and he is at the sight of the accident with the memorial. He backs away crying.

Mariana goes to Ines house, again only a maid is around. She goes to Ines wardrobe and finds the shirt with a missing button that matches the one she found and had saved.

Luci gets a delivery at her gate from a young boy. It's a gift. From whom? Boy shrugs shoulders, I dunno. It's About the capital creciente he says.. She opens the tin which contains a thumb drive.

O and Roberto discuss the cases against Joachin and Berta, and Ofelia. Berta is scared for her life and won't name names. Shed rather stay in jail. They notice a commotion in the precinct. It's Adrian. He is confessing.

Enrique finds Ines in his and Ines room she palms the button and tells him how much she wished she had his advice while she was in jail. She kisses him. Let me feel your love again. He resists her.


 

Juegos #59 part 2

Chofis and Luci open the thumb drive. It's a younger Francisco. He's discussing the car that was driven by Luci's parents. They've hidden the evidence of tampering it. Francisco says Salvador is the only one guilty now and dead men can't talk, haha, the 2 laugh. Chofis and Luci realize that he's killed her parents.

Back to Adrian. I think Roberto asks if he is under the influence. He's only taken one pill to calm his nerves. I guess they will make sure he is sane to testify first then take his declaration.

Chofis can't handle the news. She falls to the floor in a faint.

Ana tells her dad she's telling Daniel the truth and then going to the police. Shes afraid. She knows it's the only way but she doesn't have much hope he'll forgive her. Also, she may end up in jail. Elena and Susy mend fences. Daniel arrives. He's remembered everything. They wonder why Susy isn't surprised. She says I can't lie after just regaining your confidence. I've known for a while. Omar told me.

Enrique visits Fermin. Just die in peace old man. Fermin says you and your mother weren't at fault. It was Francisco. He then mentions some letters. But he is coughing so bad he can't elaborate. Enrique calls for a Dr but it looks like he's too late.

The Dr at the precinct says Adrian is ok to give a statement. Adrian repeats to R &O that he hit the Saldana brothers and wants to pay for his crimes

Luci visits Francisco who is glad to see her. She says your a monster that killed my parents. Slap!

Thanks, Diana. Talking about Estrella’s protests getting “a bit tiring.” I couldn’t take it anymore! Geez. She is just as bad as Gabriel and Valentín in their misguided guilt. Couldn’t believe Brisa digging in her heels. Rosalba also was something else. She started out telling Erika something like she was looking a little worn for the wear and that she might want to start using some cream on her face before people thought she (her mother) looked younger than her. No, no spoiler with Sergio appearing soon on the scene. The plot is percolating.

I am gobbling up the comments! Kat – thank you so much for explaining the bits I didn’t get in Monday’s episode. Hugely appreciated!

This was another great episode. I can’t wait to see what Atilla plans as punishment for Reha. And ooooh Reha’s sister meeting Atilla! And getting a crush on him! This is gonna be good.

I also liked Atilla suggesting to Karsu that her mother’s meddling is a way of showing her love.

The stepdad isn’t a very supportive guy. Here the sister was upset and he just told her not to be upset, and to calm down, that being upset wasn’t good for her. Not helpful.


 

Juegos. Jarifa? Is this also you? Well since Enrique was Mariana's lover in their youth and she has always had a thing for him I'm not surprised he went with it. Funny, I'm just a gal ( guy) that can't say no. Made me think of the the musical Oklahoma. At least I think that's the one.

Maggie, I'm waiting for naptime, which will happen as granddaughter woke up at 6 a.m. today, to watch this. Since I had two shows to recap last night I had to miss this one. I'll get the English CC's though so if there are any scenes that need clarification I'll make note

This is such a great dizi! I’m fascinated with both Atillas! We can only hope that Reha “disappears!” Lale being attracted to MafiAtilla is going to be interesting. I think Karsu’s sister is going to be a sad tale. Adnan is not very helpful. He just tells her no kids is no big deal. To her, it is a big deal. I think Irmak must really be sorry. It still feels like an abusive situation, although she should have known better.

Novelera, you mentioned La Familia. I also see a similar situation with Atilla disliking the mafia role he is having to play.

This dizi is great, but the comments from the patio make it an outstanding experience.

I guess it will serve Reha right if Tilsim has appendicitis or something. What an awful father. Atilla is planning to burn down his business, a cotton factory. They comment it should burn spectacularly. Had to laugh when his book loving henchman wanted to shoot him in both knees. The last guy ended up a paraplegic Atilla reminds him.

I had to agree when Karsu objected to Feliz telling selin she didn't have to go to school. Sooner or later it's happening and Karsu doesn't want to totally upend Mom's life.

Another funny part was after Atilla returns from chasing down the. Bad guys and losing his glasses he slicks back his hair, then catches himself, wait, I'm the missed up hair guy now. Then he gets back in character saying he was scared chasing the bad guys, fell and lost his glasses. Karsu asking if he needed to go to the hospital was silly. Doesn't she remember how expensive those places are after Feliz got that huge bill.

I think reading English CC's isn't hurting my Spanish ear training. I'm getting more of the idioms this way. I find they are a challenge for me.

I agree Babachita, the patio definitely sweetens the experience on this show.
