Daytime TNs... Y Mas (#2), Week of July 14, 2025

Welcome to page 2 of Daytime TNs! This page is to give those who are watching daytime TNs on any channel a place to discuss the TNs aired prior to 7Pm. "RUBI"
Looking forward to seeing the recap of this afternoon's episode. More Scheming! More Chaos from the seductive & manipulative Rubi.

Rubi. Hi, Steve! Didn't you see that it's been canceled in mid-season and so far at least not replaced? Evidently it can be watched on Vix.

Sorry I meant to update the page last night to indicate it was being pulled but I got busy and forgot. I will update when I get home

Rubi

Page updated. Still really bummed about this. I wish they had made some sort of announcement as to why the change - so at least we would know.

RUBI

Completely agree Darcy...I still don't get it...

Diana

Rubi. I would settle for a brief summary of what happens in the second half of the novela. Will something terrible happen to Cayetano, for example, while he is under arrest after being framed by Rubi?

Rubi

SpanProf I haven’t watched anymore of it yet but I plan to. Maybe I will even binge it over the weekend and into next week, I think we only had 10 or 12 episodes left. I will give you a summary of it after I watch if no one beats me to it.

Rubi. Thank you so much, Darcy! :)

RUBI

SpanProf, I did as thorough a search as possible and while the original Rubi is available on Comcast, the remake isn't. Drat...

It would have been fun to watch and comment.

Darcy: I am sensing that Univision is doing poorly in the ratings on Daytime & they need to move one of the primetime Telenovelas over to Daytime.

Rubi

Steve: I am not sure moving a primetime novela to daytime would help - it might just tank the ratings on the daytime novela. I think it's probably pretty normal to have poor ratings during the daytime for a TV network. A lot of people are not watching TV during the day, they are at work, school, volunteering, playing in the garden, golfing, etc etc etc. That's why the show re-runs during the day to begin with, just to fill time.... but like Diana said, I can't imagine why Rubi's ratings would be any lower than anything else which is all probably pretty low.

Cuidado

I re-watched the novela for the fifth or sixth time. Unlike last time, which I usually stopped around episode 45, I stopped at episode 80 something. The show is redundant. Marichuy cries, Juan Miguel is a wolf in disguise (he attacked Marichuy when she was fifteen), the villains are smarter than the heroes, almost all female characters are too passive. Thanks to this blog, my view on this novela changed for the better. I always think about the funny comments from the Patio when there's a beanie moment or when Maite Perroni rolls her eyes or tilts her head (There should be a drinking game). For a Latoodle's production, it contained the strongest cast and locations.

If I were the MC, I would choose Omar/Leopardo. That man saved her life on many occasions. He's a gentleman with noble qualities unlike Juan Miguel who nearly choked his wife Viviana to death and attacked a teenage girl, and got away with it. What Juan Miguel did was terrible. He's a terrible TN hero and a creep like Amador. Honestly, Viviana would've been a better main villain if she stayed over Estefania, Isabel and Ana Julia.

I still prefer Peregrina in terms of writing over CCEA. At least the series was shorter and somehow creative with its circus theme.
