A.MAR #41 Parte 1 Notes from the Couch . . .
Estella and Fabián
Azul is not eating so Estrella brings her supper on a tray to her bedroom. (Really?) Azul is incredibly rude to her mother after her mother explains to her ONE MORE TIMEtghat she will not be getting back with her father Sergio because she loves Fabián. Bratty Azul screams in her face that she is selfish and only wants what she wants before storming off. As usual, Estrella does nothing to correct her bad behavior.
Fabián makes a heartfelt visit to Yazmín to explain to her how witnessing Gabriel so desperately afraid of losing Iker has made him remember how he felt the same when he was losing custody of her. He never wants to lose her again and is confident they will find a solution. He tells her to take her time but not to distance herself from him. He leaves after kissing her on the forehead. She has tears in her eyes.
Fabián and Estrella meet on the beach where they share notes on their difficulties with their children. They agree they are both in the same situation and Fabián is confident it will all work out. They lpve each other and kiss.
Iker
Iker escapes the police when Matilde accepts Valentín's offer. She makes plans to reignite their romance at his place that very night.
Marina ends up hiding Iker with her. Iker is curious about what is going on. He has concluded that his father is in jail. Marina says it is not her place to tell him why but if all goes well, his father will be released the next day and he can explain everything to him.
The next morning, Marina makes Iker a nice breakfast. He shows her a drawing he has made of his father slaying a monster. He has the best father in the world. He asks Marina for some apple slices. She goes to get them and by the time she gets back, Iker has escaped. He shows up in Fabián's office to ask him to take his drawing to his father. What he doesn't know is that the police and a social worker are there. He is on the run again and ends up in front of Erika's inn. Marina cannot save him and Brisa is yelling at her for not hiding Iker well enough. Finally, Iker is taken into custody supposedly only to ask him some questions with a hazy promise of returning him home soon.
Oliver
It turns out that Nemesio was not included in the plan to hide Iker. His wife says it is because of his drinking. He drinks a lot and then he has a loose tongue. Everyone knows it. She tells him he drinks too much. He tells her he will do what he wants. He goes out to drink some more. Oliver keeps him company rather than meeting Yazmín who is all dressed up for their supper date.
Late that evening, he goes to talk to Gonzalo. He informs him that he has followed his orders and has stayed away from Yazmín. Gonzalo can see that because he used the front door and not a window this time. Oliver then informs Gonzalo that, with all do respect, he has no intention of leaving Yazmín alone. He cannot be away from her. He is in love with her. He will fight for her. Gonzalo appreciates his honesty but he is not who he was picturing for his granddaughter. She needs a man who will protect her and be a positive influence on her. Oliver insists that he is unstoppable. He will never hurt her. He will do the impossible to make her happy.
Yazmín
Yazmín tells Erika that she is grateful for her renting her a room but she doesn't want to do anything to ruin her father's relationship with Estrella. She doesn't know Estrella well but she likes her. Erika warns her that Estrella isn't necessarily what she seems. She is dating Yazmín's father and also becoming reacquainted with Azul's father. If she were in Yazmín's place, she wouldn't want to see her father being made a fool of.
Estella and Fabián

A.MAR Parte 2
The Three Stooges Minus One
Valentín arrives at his place with Matilde for their date. He sees a romantic dinner set out by Pascual. Matilde thinks that Valentín planned it for her and sits down and they eat it. After dinner, they are making out on the couch when Pascual and Perla come in expecting a romantic dinner. When Pascual sees his dinner has been eaten, he is not pleased but Perla gets him to leave with her before he says too much. The next day, he tells Valentín that living together is not working out for them anymore. They each have invested in the place, so they agree to decide who goes and who stays to chance. Pascual wins the coin toss but baby Valentín can't accept the decision and wants to go two out of three. Foolish Pascual agrees. The coin is tossed again and luckily for Pascual, Valentín loses again and will be the one to move out.
Best Advice of the Night
After Perla admits that she was not only bothered by her supper being eaten but was also was bothered by seeing Valentín with another woman, Estrella suggests that maybe she should reconsider her relationship with Pascual since Valentín and Pascual are best friends. Perla defends her relationship with Pascual because he is the only man who has ever been kind to her. He is the kind of man her therapy has led her to. Estrella advises her sister to NEVER stop listening to her heart.
The Three Stooges Minus One
Valentín arrives at his place with Matilde for their date. He sees a romantic dinner set out by Pascual. Matilde thinks that Valentín planned it for her and sits down and they eat it. A.MAR
Jarifa, another fantastic recap of an episode where emotions ran high as Iker's life on the run came to a quick and inevitable conclusion.
With Gabriel languishing in jail facing serious accusations things are murky at best. If only the court would allow Iker to stay with a responsible adult (Fabian? Estrella?) However, that possibility appears remote and unlikely. Gabriel needs an excellent lawyer and an even greater defense.
Fabian continues to the epitome of a kind, patient father. I liked his heartfelt declaration to Yaz, expressing confidence they will find their way to being a family again. Even Yaz was not immune to his love and sincerity.
Azul is turning into a little brat. Estrella needs to remind her that children don't dictate to their parents and that SHE is the parent and that as the child, Azul should be seen and NOT heard :). Good luck with that - ack.
I laughed out loud at "The Three Stooges Minus One" - very clever. Love has eluded Valentin and apparantly so has luck. No woman and now, no home! Hopefully Estrella has talked some sense into Perla who needs to realize her rationale for being with Pascual isn't nearly enough.

Karsu
OMG didn’t you love that last scene when the camera went around the table and caught everyone’s expressions when they stared at Karsu just slaying in her micro mini dress? Check out those gams! Her hair! Whoo hoo!
Because before that she’d had a very very bad day. You go, girl! And what about Atilla, who had slicked his hair down nicely for his wedding but for this elegant event is back to glasses and untamed hair?
Also, I loved that Filiz figured out that she had a suitor. That Hassan sure does it up in style. Who would’ve guessed? But then poor Filiz had to endure Adnan’s speech about Irmak, and was even stuck sitting across from him.

Karsu #49
I put the episode in just because as I go back in time to old shows it helps to know where in the story it falls.
Poor Karsu. Goes to the Dr. Sounds like it is a fibromyalgia flareup and the solution is to minimize her stress. Her hilarity as she tells the doctor everything that has been going on in the soap opera of her life was priceless. And that poor Dr. The look on his face! I think rather than antidepressants and relaxants being prescribed he should have suggested therapy.
Cevdet was great in his scene. I'm trying to recall everything he is an expert on. Jewelry, check. He can find the flashiest gaudy stuff ever for suegra (and Lale it appears). I forget what else. He told Atilla that a nicely dressed customer bought a book, but that he was coming back later to pay for it. Of course Karsu believes the guy. But he didn't come back and now Karsu feels she needs her pay docked as a result. We see the same mindset when she takes the kids to the clothes store where Tilsim wants a certain overpriced skirt that Karsu can't afford, meanwhile the little ones are wandering unchecked throughout the store while eating chocolate. The inevitable happens and Selim gets chocolate on a dress. The shopkeeper says the management will dock her pay, so now Karsu has to buy the outfit. Good news, it's likely Selim's size. And right on cue Tilsim throws a jealous fit because Selim gets something and she doesn't. This girl is so annoying.
So who is watching the kids at the fancy dinner party? I thought when Adnan invited Reha he said the kids would be there. When Karsu didn't make an appearance I worried that maybe the guy that helped her on the street outside that store (was it a fashion store and that's where she got her makeover) wasn't really the store owner and she was kidnapped.
And Emir, Ipek's boyfriend. What a jerk. He prefers older woman and hits on Karsu as he drives her someplace that she needs to go. So Omer may have some luck after all if Karsu warns her cousin
Loved the scene when Filiz and Türkan brought a cake to Atilla's house and they chatted with Reha's mom. So funny.

The Fatmagul recommendation is scrambling my brain on character names as I am now watching 3 Dizis at the same time. Wow, it is an excellent show. Thanks again. Dondi, your past recaps are helping immensely.

Oh wow, Kat! It didn’t occur to me to wonder who was minding the kids. Speaking of the kids, I’ve admired Karsu’s parenting, but letting her kids bring food into a shop? And they had their hands all over everything! They should know not to touch.
That tea shop guy – I had the feeling that was a cut scene. It felt like it was leading up to something, and then we had no further developments there. I hadn’t thought about him doing a makeover for her – good thinking!

Karsu
Glad I’m not the only one who wondered where the kids were, and who’s watching them!
Instead of getting mad at her mom Tilsin needs to start asking her dad to take her shopping. What a tight wad he is!
Some fun scenes in this episode. I loved the interactions in the two cabs. It seems Filiz has figured out she has a secret admirer.
Also loved the sisters visiting Reha’s mom. She’s pushing for Karsu and Reha to get together but I don’t think mom and aunt are too keen on that.
That poor doctor! But what a great scene!
I don’t know what made Karsu to change her image but she sure looked great. I loved everyone staring at her!

Karsu #50. Part 1
Back at the fiesta Karsu is now singing on stage with Mert and in Filiz eyes making a spectacular of herself. Ex MIL Sukran is also offended. Hande would like to scratch Reha's eyes out the way he is lusting over her. Türkan is totally approving her metamorphosis and tells Filiz you wanted her to dress up more. (Careful what you wish for Feliz.)When Karsu leaves the "stage" Hande confronts her. Karsu tells her watch me. She propositions Reha to take her back, she misses him, etc. Reha is thinking hard about it, then Karsu bursts his bubble. Just kidding.
MIL, Lale and Atilla discuss Karsu when they return home. A mother of 3 should not comport herself like that. Atilla and lale disagree. Being a mother doesn't need to make you not enjoy yourself. Lucky Atilla, she's going to Reha's. He says come back whenever you like, lol
Looks like Gulay watched the kids. Is she the maid? Feliz asks Karsu what's come over you. Karsu decides she is going to treat people the way they treat her from now on. Türkan and Filiz have a cousin coming to stay with Türkan. Some childhood rivalry between her and Filiz. Apparently she was always trying to lose weight. (Wonder what Zuhal looks like now.). Karsu is making coffee, tea and chocolate ( for Türkan). Ipek says mom, rolls eyes. What, they didn't serve dessert at the party!
The lack of food is also the conversation casa Reha. Rich people are so stingy...hande suggests dinner out tomorrow but Reha has a business dinner, with Selvi. The two argue in front of Surkan. She escapes to her bedroom.
Filiz checks on Karsu who is getting ready for bed. Are you ok. Yes, of course. Filiz says honey you are the only sane one in the family, please don't go crazy too. I'm fine, I needed a change. Filiz says she looks great. Feliz blames Karsu's change on Atilla. She hopes he gets what he deserves. She sees him outside and goes to talk to him.And he deserves to get kicked out of paradise, even if he has paid a years rent up front. Filiz tells Atilla her cousin is coming to Istanbul and she needs his place. He tries to negotiate 2 months. I'll help you pack and you can leave sooner. So I guess Atilla and Lale are moving out.
At breakfast Selim and Deniz are dazzled by Mom's new look. Filiz suggests she should get some work done around her eyes. Karsu says my forehead too, I see wrinkles. Where is your guy. In Paris. Let's go! Just kidding.
The 2 younger kids and Filiz leave to get dressed which leaves a sulky Tilsim to talk with Mom. She's still mad about the skirt. Karsu tells her to ask her dad to get it. Quit saying if we were in Adnan. This is our life now so get used to it. Good for Karsu, that talking to was long overdue.

Back at the fiesta Karsu is now singing on stage with Mert and in Filiz eyes making a spectacular of herself. Ex MIL Sukran is also offended. Hande would like to scratch Reha's eyes out the way he is lusting over her. Türkan is totally approving her metamorphosis and tells Filiz you wanted her to dress up more. (Careful what you wish for Feliz.)When Karsu leaves the "stage" Hande confronts her. Karsu tells her watch me. She propositions Reha to take her back, she misses him, etc. Reha is thinking hard about it, then Karsu bursts his bubble. Just kidding.
MIL, Lale and Atilla discuss Karsu when they return home. A mother of 3 should not comport herself like that. Atilla and lale disagree. Being a mother doesn't need to make you not enjoy yourself. Lucky Atilla, she's going to Reha's. He says come back whenever you like, lol
Looks like Gulay watched the kids. Is she the maid? Feliz asks Karsu what's come over you. Karsu decides she is going to treat people the way they treat her from now on. Türkan and Filiz have a cousin coming to stay with Türkan. Some childhood rivalry between her and Filiz. Apparently she was always trying to lose weight. (Wonder what Zuhal looks like now.). Karsu is making coffee, tea and chocolate ( for Türkan). Ipek says mom, rolls eyes. What, they didn't serve dessert at the party!
The lack of food is also the conversation casa Reha. Rich people are so stingy...hande suggests dinner out tomorrow but Reha has a business dinner, with Selvi. The two argue in front of Surkan. She escapes to her bedroom.
Filiz checks on Karsu who is getting ready for bed. Are you ok. Yes, of course. Filiz says honey you are the only sane one in the family, please don't go crazy too. I'm fine, I needed a change. Filiz says she looks great. Feliz blames Karsu's change on Atilla. She hopes he gets what he deserves. She sees him outside and goes to talk to him.And he deserves to get kicked out of paradise, even if he has paid a years rent up front. Filiz tells Atilla her cousin is coming to Istanbul and she needs his place. He tries to negotiate 2 months. I'll help you pack and you can leave sooner. So I guess Atilla and Lale are moving out.
At breakfast Selim and Deniz are dazzled by Mom's new look. Filiz suggests she should get some work done around her eyes. Karsu says my forehead too, I see wrinkles. Where is your guy. In Paris. Let's go! Just kidding.
The 2 younger kids and Filiz leave to get dressed which leaves a sulky Tilsim to talk with Mom. She's still mad about the skirt. Karsu tells her to ask her dad to get it. Quit saying if we were in Adnan. This is our life now so get used to it. Good for Karsu, that talking to was long overdue.

Pascual explains to Perla why Valentín had to move out so their flame of love can ignite. Perla likes all of that but where will Valentín go? He ends up at Nemesio's even though Teresita doesn't agree since Oliver already lives with them. Nemesio tells her that he is the man of the house and what he says goes. (really? women still live like this? why?) Anyway, Nemesio welcomes Vaentín into his home and they celebrate by . . drinking!!!
Yazmín Reciprocates Oliver's Feelings
Gonzalo says that he can support Oliver courting Yazmín as long as he keep her happy and doesn't make her shed a tear. His next challenge will be winning Fabián over to his side. Oliver is confident he can win Fabián over. Gonzalo's response of "Uh, huh" indicating he is not as sure about that.
Oliver apologizes for standing Yazmín up promising will never do that again. He wants to take care of her . He wants them to be novios. She reminds him of her education plans and leaving town. He wants to be the man who takes away her sadness and makes her the happiest girl in the world. She agrees to be his novia.
Gabriel Tells Iker the Truth
The court decides that Gabriel is not to be jailed for what he did. He is free but in order to have Iker with him again he is going to have to file for adoption. In the mean time, Iker will go live with a foster family but Gabriel still will have visitation rights.
Brisa doesn't lose any time blaming Marina for allowing Iker to be taken. Gabriel seems to side with her for a while but then regains his confidence in Marina. Brisa cannot stand it. She starts to physically fight with Marina and Estrella tries to separate them. Later, Brisa will tell Estrella that she will fight tooth and claw for Gabriel. She is nothing without him. Estrella understands because that is how she felt when Sergio left her but then she meet Fabián and it all changed for the better. Brisa has no intentions on handling her life that way. She will get her Gabriel by hook or by crook.

Iker thinks he is only a liar and is particularly upset that he lied about him having a mother. The social worker helps Iker get used to the idea of going to live with the foster family. Fabian is at the restaurant chatting with Erika waiitng for Jaz. He says he had a bad day because seeing how Gabriel was suffering for his son reminded him of his own agony over Yazmín.
When Sergio shows up to visit with his daughter, Fabián confronts him with how can he want to get together with a woman he left ten years ago when she is in love with him. Sergio asks why he is so insecure. Fabián reminds him that he and Estrella are together. He needs to accept it and stop pressuring her. Sergio says that isn't happening anytime soon. Fabián is no competition. What can he offer Estrella, a can of sardines? Sergio can give the kind of security Fabián will never be able to give her. Fabián asks if that kind of security is the kind that left Estrella alone and pregnant. Sergio brings up Fabián's wife who died because of him. He adds that he isn't exactly the father of the year, either. Fabián tells him to shut up. He doesn't. Fabián punches him out and eh ends up on the ground with a bloody lip. My hope that Iker would accept Gabriel's explanation was short lived; it was a complete shock and way too much for the child to process. Of course he is hurt and very confused, especially regarding what he was told about his mother. I was very surprised Gabriel was released though; he seems to have a savvy lawyer, thank heavens for that.
Brisa was in full beyotch mode "blaming Marina for allowing Iker to be taken". (You called it Liz!) When Gabriel seemed to be listening to her I was nonplussed; thankfully he seemed to come to his senses. I didn't like Brisa's hateful declation she would get Gabriel back no matter how or what the consequences are.
I guess Yaz felt more for Oliver than she was willing to admit - to herself and to us!
Sergio waved the red flag adding taunts and insults as an incensed Fabian wildly charged. I have to admit though I had to smile at "What can he offer Estrella, a can of sardines? " :) Fabian will be in hot water with Estrella, just a Sergio planned...ack.

Irmak goes to Adnan's office. He is talking with a female cohort that Irmak doesn't recognize and she gets jealous.
Hassan seems to be doing beadwork to make a necklace or something. Dilaver checks on him. Noone knows you are here. Filiz assistant called, she is going out. Hassan is going to get changed.
Cousin is thin and looks great. She attributes it to eating well, exercise and yoga for faces. Filiz keeps asking who her plastic surgeon is.
Karsu is at the bookstore. Atilla moons over her from afar.
Cevdet wonders when the fake marriage will end. Not yet according to Atilla. But he wants to tell Karsu everything and pray she forgives him.
Cousin Zuhal has come bearing gifts. She goes upstairs to get them while Filiz tells Türkan that she definitely has had work and she'll prove it. Coffee mugs!
Filiz is going to the cherry blossom festival at the Japanese garden. Omer calls Dilaver to pass the word on.
Ipek goes to the bookstore to buy a friend a book. Karsu asks are you still seeing Emir. When she says yes Karsu tells her what he did. Ipek thought he was a good guy. Karsu says he doesn't deserve you.
Filiz is at the garden admiring the trees, etc. a guy waves her direction, at someone else. Oops.
Omer tries to console Ipek on her bad taste in men.
The Colonel is also at the park. Another false alarm.she beats a hasty retreat .Meanwhile Hassan and Dilaver are also there ( with more blossoms) and wonder where she is running off to.

Fabian was foolish to approach Sergio. Sergio is not a decent person and can mop the floor with anyone he considers beneath him, which is just about everyone.
I’m trying to remember if Valentine was a big drinker. If he wasn’t I think he will fast become one! Apparently Nemesio’s problem is bad enough the town doesn’t share secrets with him!

I think what made Karsu change her look was Ipek’s boyfriend telling her he preferred mature woman. Then when she left his car the tea man was calling her ma’am and she was yelling not to call her that. I hope she keeps the look, but not the outfit!
I was surprised Reha didn’t say yes right away to Karsu’s proposal. He was practically drooling!
I hope Atilla doesn’t have to move! It’s fun with them all so close to each other.

I’m behind on this and am a bit curious but not enough to watch. I almost quit when his daughter was killed, and now they’ve shoved an innocent worker under a train. And there’s some really crazy characters in this! It’s recording so if I’m ever desperate to watch a telenovela, and there aren’t any showing, I can pick this up. Daniel usually plays a good villain but that sister has him beat.

I am still watching and it's definitely weird. I've thought about bailing, and it's still a strong possibility that I will but I'm kind of curious still where this will go, lots of these actors are establish and good actors so maybe after a few more episodes when the storylines get more established and humming along they'll be able to do something more impressive with it? I'm also kind of interested in seeing what they can do with the premise - how do they get Leo to go from hating/blaming/distrusting Alba to failing in love with her? How does Alba ever manage to fall in love with Leo? I'm assuming that's where this story goes... it could be interesting. It's been a minute since I've watched a hate to love story. I don't know. I might end up bailing, but not ready to bail quite yet.

Filiz and Türkan crack me up. And their cousin is adding to the hilarity. They advise Filiz that no guy likes an ill woman so let him know you are sick. Filiz says so I should knock on his door and say, I'm sick! No Türkan and cousin will do it for her casually. They run into the Colonel in the garden and cousin says Filiz probably ran off from the park due to her illness. She's crazy... After they leave him Türkan says, crazy! Cousin feels this should definitely keep the Colonel far away.
Atilla and Cevdet are toying with Dilaver about Hassan. Dilaver is getting the feeling they are on to him.
Selvi is raising both Irmak and Hande's suspicions. Is she the lady Adnan had in his bed? It was too dark and blurry for me to tell.
Since Irmak told Karsu that she had a bad feeling about Selvi, Karsu arranges a meet with Adnan at the bookstore. She figures out that Adnan cheated on Irmak. She never wants to see him again. When Filiz goes to the bookstore later she gets the rest of the story. Irmak calls Adnan to talk. He is nervous but it's just a check in. After he hangs up he says Karsu better not ruin things for me.

Gabriel Faces Reality and is Quickly Duped Twice
Iker is welcomed by his foster family who seem to be a very kind couple with a boy a little younger than Iker. Gabriel tells the social worker that he NEEDS to see Iker. She informs him that that would be possible right now except that Iker doesn't want to see him and he won't be seeing Iker until he agrees. He goes crazy and even tells Marina that if it were not for her letting them find Iker, things would be okay right now. He quickly apologizes for the accusation and Marina forgives him. She asks him to just follow the law. He complains that he doesn't have enough money to file adoption papers for Iker. He owes everyone already.
The twist comes when Sergio comes to see him saying he is there at his daughter's request(Sergio and Gabriel do not know that Brisa the snake talked Azul into asking her father to assist Gabriel for Iker's sake). Sergio is willing to assign his own lawyer to handle Gabriel's case for a future favor yet to be determined. It was interesting that he noted that Gabriel owned a business with Fabián at the beginning of the conversation. Hmmmm. . . . Gabriel so desperate he agrees to Sergios terms.
Then Brisa comes slithering by to let him know that she was the one responsible for getting him Sergio's assistance via Azul. She also lets it drop that she is sure that Marina was the one who made the anonymous call about Víctor and him.
Estrella and Fabián Confront Each Other About Sergio
Sergio brings Azul home. She is upset because Estrella's novio punched her father. She doesn't want Estrella to be with Fabián. Sergio calls him a low life, a violent man. What else is he capable of if he is willing to have a physical fight in front of his daughter?
Estrella tells Fabián that she does not understand how Fabián came to blows with Sergio especially in front of Azul. He admits that he was set up and went for it. He never should have. He then flips the topic. Why didnt' eh tell her aht Fabián wants her to come back to him so they can play "the happy family?" He just knew that as soon as she took the money from him, there would be more involved. Estrella says that she never mentioned it because it wasn't important. She assures Fabián that her has all of her love and loyalty. He kisses her and Fabián says it a was as if Sergio were baiting him. What he doesn't understand is why Sergio suddenly appeared after ten years. What does he want? He is sure that Sergio is up to something.
At the San Pedro Festival, Sergio adn his company pledge 50,00 pesos to each fisherman suffering from the consequences of the red tide. The crowd applauds him.

and Perla gets real nervous as he talks about how it would be good if they could marry sooner rather than later and have lots of Perlitas and Pascualitos running around the house. Her response is temporarily prevented by a call from
Valentín asking to borrow the domino game.
Valentín is at Nemesio's. They are both drunk and decide to pay dominoes. When Valentín finds out that Brisa is with Pascual, he decides not to go and get the game so as not to interrupt them. Instead he starts wailing about how he cannot take it anymore with Perla, with Pascual, with his home!
Oliver suggests that the only way for Valentín to clear up his problems is to be honest about it all. Valentín says that Brisa told him she didn't want him anymore. Oliver tells him that is not necessarily true. Her reaction to him was because he was playing the macho. He should be honest with her. Valentín can't even consider that. He makes Oliver promise he won't say anything. Oliver agrees not to tells but adds that Valentín will regret that decision for the rest of his life.

I liked that the punch didn’t end up alienating Estrella from Fabián. She has lots of patience.
Gabriel looks like he is on the verge of being snookered in by Brisa. Sad for him, Iker and especially Marina if he is.
I don’t even want to imagine the favor Sergio is going to ask of Gabriel. So very creepy.

Brisa's cunning and cruel nature continues to further embrace the dark side. She used Azul, her own niece for her own selfish purposes. Bragging to Gabriel she secured Sergio's "help" will surely backfire as he has now made a deal with the devil. She had to twist the knife too, spewing she "is sure that Marina was the one who made the anonymous call about Víctor and him." A vile, vicious lie.
Gabriel needs to be reminded he is a galan here. Accusing Marina of being responsible for Iker's "discovery" was unfair and unkind. He is understandably upset but it is he who bears reponsibility for the situation, not her. Iker's "family" seemed to genuinely embrace him, especially the mother who has kind eyes and a sweet expression. Iker might not be readily willing to forgive Gabriel.
Sergio surely has his eye on destroying Fabian's livlihood, the next step in his plot to bring Fabian down. I do like the fact Fabian and Estrella commuicated and talked out what happened between Fabian and Sergio as well as Sergio's "intentions" toward Estrella, ensuring their relationship remains honest and secure.
Valentin and Nemesio were blubbering like the pair of inebriated fools they are! Nemesio is not the friend Valentin needs right now; thankfully Oliver is there to fulfill that role with his assertion that honesty is the best policy regarding Brisa. He is right; if Valentin doesn't speak up (and quickly) he is going to lose the love of his life.

Pascual has certainly ramped up the pressure on Perla! I had to laugh as his pressuring her about marrying and having a house full of kids might just send her running to the hills.

The New Karsu tells Irmak that if somebody offers help, she’ll accept it. I wonder what the impetus for that is.
Also, Kadir being missing. That’s the rival mafioso, yes? Is it that he’s laying so low that they don’t know where he is?
Of all the illnesses Tia and Cousin could make up for Filiz, they pick mental illness. Since she’s now the property manager, the Colonel could gossip and that would ruin her reputation and maybe cost her her job. She didn’t seem too upset by them having said that.
Did I understand correctly that Hassan said if Karsu is like her mother, only worse, then she’s not right for Attila? Then we get him quoting poetry! I love it. That and his beading hobby – what a hoot!
I wish they’d tone down the makeup on Karsu. Yes, she wants to be a new women, but she looks way too flashy. Somehow it makes her character less believable.

I feel sure Gabriela is going to buy into Brisa’s lies and feel sorry for Marina. At this point Brisa can have him. It also seems he’ll be asked by Sergio to do something to ruin Fabian. Will he draw a line against whatever it is?
I can’t believe Pascual is talking marriage and children. Perla had made it pretty clear they would work at getting to know each other. She needs to run from this relationship. But not to Valentin! Poor Hassan, Feliz is going to give him a run for his money before they even have a date. The harder she is to get, the more he’s interested in her. It’s hard to imagine him as head of the mafia. I wonder if he knew Atilla wouldn’t kill his brother. Hassan certainly doesn’t seem like he’d want his son dead. And it seems he knows Atilla’s marriage is fake. Although poor Lale would like to change that.
I was wondering if Selvi was the girl in bed with Adnan. It looks like that’s Reja’s goal too. I hated that Adman told Karsu the truth. I don’t think she’ll keep it quiet and I’m worried about Irmak’s pregnancy.

Susan, Sebastian was able to convince his brother-in-law (Joaquin?) to come to town to go after Leonel...I forget exactly what the logic is he used for why. But Joaquin was on the outs with his job where they were living because of not getting results so now he's investigating in the small town, and it looks like he's still looking for missing women - starting with the first Mrs. Leonel since everyone thinks she died mysteriously.
I think Leonel damaged his lungs in the fire, that's why he is using an inhaler, he won't slow down long enough to actually rest and get well because he can't be seen as weak.

I don't understand Carlota and her relationship with the nice priest . She seems to hate Leonel and has formed am alliance with Sebastian against Leonel. She also seems to faking her medical condition (cough cough )
Sebastian is becoming obsessed with Ana , and Lionel did not like them dancing together . Was that outdoor fiesta for Anas bday ?

Susan, yes, Joaquin is a cop and a creep! He's a wife beater it looks like, and I haven't figured out what else yet. He's investigating the disappearance of several woman and Sebastian is somehow connected to those disappearances, but we don't know how yet - but I can guess. Joaquin doesn't know anything about that. He suspects the Leonel killed his first wife and thus thinks he may be involved in the women going missing but of course the first Mrs. Leonel is alive and well - Leonel lied about her being dead so the children wouldn't find out she abandoned him.
I don't understand Carlota either yet, or her relationship with the priest but I suspect they had a relationship before he became a priest? That was implied at least. About the medical issue, I'm not sure if she's faking it completely... I have a feeling she does have some medical issue but then made Alba believe it was dire (ie. faked the surgery) to pressure her into action. But she could be faking the condition entirely.
I'm not sure if the fiesta was a bday thing or just a welcome? I don't call hearing Happy Birthday, but I might have missed it.
I'm also not sure who that woman is. It might be a result of not knowing who everyone is in the beginning episodes, and it might just be that it's supposed to be unclear at this point... I actually think that she's Leonel and Atocha's mother, but I don't think they know that. The siblings seem to think that she is the banished former lover of their father, and she showed up looking for her 'hija' but the last couple episodes she's been talking about her 'hijo' and she showed up at Leonel's wedding in a wedding dress wanting to marry Leonel - Leo has his father's name I believe. It's just a theory at this point. What we know/think is that this is Leo Sr's former mistress, and the nanny is very protective of her for some reason.
