PAPAS POR SIEMPRE
Will replace “Con esa misma mirada” on October 21 for a total of 82 episodes.

PAPAS POR SIEMPRE

I just saw that Jarifa! I was hoping for Monteverde. I enjoyed the first "Papas" installment...

Diana

PAPAS
When, oh, when will we get our Monteverde? I need the laughs! ; )

Mirada

Oops just saw this is on and I'm not watching it. I'll add it to my library now and hope I can catch up.

Con Esa Misma Merada #1

Quite a lot to unpack! A few notes although I'm not sure they are all correct, but at least it's a start.

The camera leads us on a house tour as we see family pictures as we hear murmurings of a long ago wedding ceremony. Eloisa (Angelica Rivera) is married to Octavio (Ivan Sanchez). She lovingly works on a portrait of him as he cheats on her with Gabriela (Pamela Almanza).

As Eloisa goes to the airport to pick up Octavio, she just misses him arriving with his girl friend as he stows her away in a car. However, Eloisa's boozy friend Renata (Ximena Herrera) also at the airport, sees them and takes pictures!

Eloisa has a lovely red velvet dress she looks beautiful in but when she shows it to Octavio, he is dismissive leaving her looking crushed.

Eloisa runs into Pablo (Diego Klein) and his adorable son in a gallery. She is charmed and he is struck by the lightening bolt.

At some sort of event (wedding anniversary?), Renata tells Eloisa her husband is having an affair. Eloisa is shocked and heartbroken. She gives a speech most of which eluded me but something to the effect marriage is hard work. Octavio's girl friend shows up unexpectedly and he races after her. Pablo follows them and sees them together. I'm not sure what he does for a living. Is he a reporter? Later he takes Renata home and lays her on her bed and leaves.

In the last scene, Eloisa works on her art (the room seems to be part storage room) as she sits, broken hearted.

Eloisa and Octavio have several daughters (one being Sofia, her real life daughter). We see several scenes of them with the men in their lives.

Diana

Con esa misma mirada
Thanks, Diana, for getting us off to a very fine start. I had no idea that Sofía was Angélica Rivera’s real life daughter.

Eloísa and that rat Octavio have a son Samuel (photographer), a daughter (Matilde) who is into ballet and the eldest daughter Antonia who is a lawyer like her father and works with him.

Octavio was so nasty first giving a big thumbs down to Eloísa’s red dress saying she isn’t thirty anymore. Then, at the wedding talking in a group about how marriage and time take their inevitable toll on relationships, he comments that when they got married Eloísa HAD the perfect figure and that she WAS fabulous.

Pablo is an investigative reporter.

Con esa misma mirada

Thank you so much , Diana and Jarifa. I recorded this episode because I watched " The Voice." Not sure I know some of these actors , but I love Diego Klein and have seen him in many novelas, and Angelica wil! always be Gsviotaaaaa to me .I am so happy to finally have time to be back on the patio watching with you guys again !!...fingers crossed . Susan

Con esa misma mirada

Jarifa, loved "that rat Octavio" :).

Thank you for explaining who the kids are, I will have to look for Samuel...

Octavio is condescending and just horrid...

Susan, glad you will be watching this. I liked tonight's episode..from what I saw, I think they are going to air all 16 episodes back to back.

Diana

Mirada

Thank you so much Diana and Jarifa! I was kind of confused, particularly about the kids, but also about some other characters. People were introduced so quickly. I wish they’d cut down on the kissing scenes (enough! we get it!) and had instead crammed in more information for us.

Our heroine was pretty steady at wedding party considering she’d just gotten the seismic news that her husband is cheating. And look at Angelica Rivera! She’s 57! She looks amazing.

Los Hilos

Why am I watching this? Is anybody else? They obviously laid out the big bucks (or pesos) for the star-studded cast and the beautiful production, but they should have spent more on the writers.

The one thing I’m interested in is to find out how Carolina made it from the clutches of Ramiro, and why does he say that everything she is she owed to him. I’m not sure that’s enough to make me stick with this.

Los Hilos

I am still watching this, but it does seem to be dragging. I feel like we’re waiting for something to happen. With such a great cast, it has to get better. It’s based on a famous story that was successful twice in the past. So, my fingers are still crossed it will get better.

I like Carolina and Manuel. They seem like a loving couple, kept together so far because they have genuine affection and fulfilling careers. However, she avoids him and almost recoils from his affection. Her best friend, Elena, is warning her to be more caring toward Manuel. Carolina is so haunted by her past. When all that comes out, will Manuel stay? There is Lorena, hoping for a relationship but who says she’s not a home wrecker. Do we believe her? I really like her and want her to stay flawed but not become a villain. Does Carolina’s heart still belong to Father Santiago? If so, Manuel may be due for a real relationship. Who does Carolina really love, deep down, Father Santiago or Manuel?
Santamarina is usually a villain. (Is it hard for him to play nice?) Is he going to take up with Lorena and listen to his “friend” Leonardo?

Will Father Santiago go to Rome? I think he has to have some kind of interaction with Carolina soon. He appears to have affection for Cristina, based on a preview last night. Can he leave the call of the blood for Rome?

Ramiro knows her past and can’t wait to pounce. Is he after money or does he just want to bring down the empire? Is his kid evil or just under Daddy’s thumb?

I took an instant dislike to Tamara, of course. She might be right about Carlos being a mujeriego, however, as he easily re-succumbed to her advances while trying to attract Cristina. Can he change? Why did she leave him, really?

Did anyone notice the weird way Tamara and Carolina interacted. Tamara kept catching herself and snapping to attention in an odd manner, almost like a private to a superior in the military. I almost expected her to salute! What’s the backstory here? Was she a model who had to behave for her boss? Has she been abused somehow?

Ok, there are enough questions that I guess I'll stick with it! Hoping you will, too, Maggie! I’m disappointed with much of it, but the mystery is intriguing enough for me to keep watching for now.

Maggie, I saw a few episodes on ViIX and there were so many sex scenes in each episode, I thought there would not be a problem cutting this down to 42 minutes.

OT

I’m ready for Monteverde, too!

Babachita

Los Hilos

I’m still watching this. I actually like Marisol the best. I think she likes Ricardo! I like his mom too.

Father Salvador’s mom is a nut case. Carolina might need a restraining order.

I’m mainly watching to see the family reunited. Last night when Romina and Omar were bowling they both knocked the same pins down twice. At least that’s what it looked like. She had a 7 he had a nine. Twice!

Liz

Mirada

Thanks, Diana, it was a nice surprise to see your recap this morning! I like Eloisa and Pablo. Looking forward to something happening with them! I’m assuming she’ll dump hubby. He is awful to her. I wonder if she’ll need more proof of his cheating or need more proof.

I liked the way they introduced the children through their photos and the commentary on them.

Liz

Con esa misma mirada

Thanks Maggie and Liz.

Liz, I can't formally recap but as there are only 15 more episodes, I am going to try and put a few observations/hightlights up each night. That is of course, if I am able to follow what occurs as my Spanish comprehension is minimal at best.

I liked Pablo immediately! Angelica's character is nice and sweet. Maggie, Angelica does look great but I'm still trying to get used to the blonde hair :)

Diana

Miranda

Wow...just starting to watch my recording ...beautifully photographed .Angelica is lovely with her elegant , classic clothes . That pale , powder blue looks just like the color in the sunrises and sunsets that we are having here lately. I don't recognize anyone so far watching except the daughter with the aggressively kissing , smarmy novio ..ugh . Wait, Diego just came on the screen ...gotta go..this looks really good!!!! Susan

Mirada

Oh I remember Ivan Sanchez now...never a big fan . Susan

Mirada

Still watching first episode . What was up with the mistress and two big bodyguards chasing that guy away ? Who Was he? She seems to think she has a lot power in the rats company.
Angelica is doing a wonderful job. As she comes out in that red gown looking gorgeous, you can see his callous remarks just beat her down as she bends her head and her shoulders drop. Then , she pulls up the shoulders on the red gown believing that gaslighting rat. She wears a demure black gown to the party instead . What were they celebrating? The mistress looked furious when Eloise gave her speech. Why?What did Eloise say ?
These new telenovelas are getting better. People do not know what they are missing !!! Susan

Mirada
Always go for the guy who looks at you the way Diego looks at Eloisa.
Susan

Mirada
Susan, Gabriela the mistress works for the rat’s law firm in public relations. Pablo is an investigative reporter who was going to cover a pro-union dissident who had decided to crash the wedding to make a statement against the groom. Pablo’s boss Karen warned Gabriela he was coming for some reason. If you noticed, the groom was an older guy with a young wifey. Eloísa was talking about marriage. ITA about that look. You don’t see it too often.

Con esa misma mirada #2

Mirada de duda (Look of Doubt)

Eloisa awakens in her workspace as she sighs…she walks out the door and sees Octavio and (I believe) Leticia and Villalobos. The men leave to play sport.

Eloisa opens a drawer and pulls out Octavio’s watch as Matilde comes in. Octavio comes back for it, a bit surprised. Eloisa leans in for a kiss but he kisses her goodbye on the top of her head as one might kiss a child. Matilde seems to sense something is amiss.

Eloisa later has a heart to heart with Leticia as they view her artwork of her philandering husband. They hug and are interrupted by Renata. Leticia demands to know what is going on. Renata says Octavio is cheating but Leticia won’t believe it! Eloisa tearfully laments his affair after all their years together.

The rat (thanks Jarifa) and Villalobos have conversation about his marriage/affair I can’t translate. Octavio shows up at Gabriela’s where she whines and complains. He calms her down and sweet talks her with promises of romance, wine and jacuzzi which seems to placate her as they kiss and fall into bed.

Renata is showing sexy lingerie to Eloisa (I silently say don’t bother, you are wasting your breath). Eloisa asks her about Pablo…Speaking of, Pablo brings Karen a cup of coffee and shows her the divorce papers he was served with. They talk a bit more; I get the feeling she is enamored of him.

Octavio comes home, clutching his stomach, seemingly gravely ill (unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be fatal) and gets into bed. Eloisa tries to reassure him, taking care of him. The hospital is mentioned.

We next see Eloisa slaving away in the kitchen. Elsewhere, Leticia asks her husband point blank if Octavio is having an affair.

So I’m not sure what happened but Octavio is now miraculously back to his cheatin’ self, sitting at the family dining table scarfing down dinner; Matilde and Antonia joining them. Octavio and Eloisa get into a disagreement and as Nicolas comes in, he snaps at his son. Octavio kisses Antonia’s hand, no secret as to who his favorite child appears to be. Eloisa comes into her son’s room to try and smooth things over. Nicolas says something nice to her that cheers her up.

Eloisa goes to Octavio who is working in his office. He sluffs her off.

Renata sees the slip of paper Pablo left when he tucked her into bed the other night and calls him; they meet at a restaurant. He asks her how her amiga Eloisa is. She seems surprised and asks if he is interested in Eloisa. He says she is hermosa. Renata, sharp as a tack, seems to immediately put two and two together.

At work, Antonia introduces herself to Gabriela as Octavio seems to look around nervously. Gabriela is nice to her. After Antonia talks to her father, he seems disconcerted. Uncomfortable when two worlds collide perhaps? perhaps??

Karen and Gabriela meet for lunch. They seem to be BFFs. They are fawning over phone pictures but the gist of their conversation escapes me.

Renata runs back and tells Antonia about her chat with Pablo. Antonia says she isn’t interested…

Nicolas working as a photographer gets Gabriela ready for a photoshoot. He seems to be more than a little impressed.

Antonia shows Renata a swimsuit (?) and she looks fab! So, somehow Pablo comes upstairs and sees Renata preparing to get into a bath. She is upset but it seems Renata may be responsible for this “misunderstanding”. He apologizes and leaves. Antonia knows full well what her friend did!

This was really good!

I can’t vouch for the veracity of what I wrote, it’s simply my best guess! Kindly fill in what I missed and/or got wrong. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say!

Diana

Mirada

Diana, thank you, for taking this on and keeping the conversation going. Very good job! Loved “when two worlds collide” . So true!

The rat comes in looking bad. He tells Eloísa that he had an attack of tachycardia and a terrible headache. They conclude it must be his high blood pressure because he admits that he didn’t take his high blood pressure meds that morning. She gets him his meds. No need for a hospital run. She also suggests that he pair his health tracking watch with her phone so she can be aware if he runs into trouble again.

No matter what Villalobos tells his wife, he has known about the rat’s affair for two years , from the time it started.

The rat suggests a weekend away for just him and Gabriela. She likes the idea.

Mirada

The rat seems to be less attractive each day. He seems so greasy. Even his portrait is unattractive. I hope Eloísa uses some of her kneaded erasers and literally swipes him off her paper. I thought that was what she was going to do last night.

Mirada

Thanks so much Jarifa.

In addition to "...the rat seems to be less attractive each day, and being "so greasy" (which nailed it), he is such a liar!!

So he's been seeing Gabriela for two years? She seems so demanding and petulant and equally as unappealing as he is. :)

Diana

Mirada

Wow, thank you so much Diana for recapping!

I’m loving the writing on this show. I’m enjoying Eloisa’s boozy friend. Didn’t she take some cellphone photos at the airport? Why doesn’t she show those to Eloisa? Then her other friend’s trusted husband lies to cover Octavio’s husband’s affair. How deception has its tentacles!

Los Hilos

I don’t get why Manuel’s coworker (Leonardo?) is trying to break up his marriage. What’s up with that? I’m enjoying Eduardo Santamarina’s performance. So likeable!

Carlos says he’s finally found the right girl in Cristina. How can he tell? He’s talked to her just a little bit. His repeated comment is that she’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. He really has no idea who she is. What makes her the right girl?

I’m still wondering how our padre rated that he’s been called to work in the Vatican. I wish we were getting to go hang out in the Vatican but I’m sure they don’t have the budget for that. Maybe he’ll run into Carolina and have some impure thoughts and disqualify himself!

Los hilos

Maggie, I'm a week behind on this and thought I'd try catching up, only to discover that the episodes have expired in my you tube library. I'm having the same issue with Mirada. Not sure what is going on, but there was a scroll across the bottom saying that the station may be dropped from You tube TV and where to watch instead. So I'll have to watch them live if I want to keep up. But I'm behind on them so jumping in doesn't appeal either. I guess these 2 are not meant to be for me.

OT

My TV provider no longer carries Univision! As of last night around 9:30 Mirada stopped showing for me. I researched and discovered that you tube TV and Univision failed to come to any agreement. The universe was looking out for me as I was behind on los hilos and barely watched Mirada (the final 10 minutes of first, 15 minutes of second). Telemundo is still fine and you tube is providing Kara Para Ask for my additional Spanish listening practice.

MIRADA

Hi Maggie and thank you.

Yes, Renata did take pics at the airport. I was waiting for her to pull them out but nopis. I imagine the writers don't want Eloisa to know who it is so I'm thinking she will show them to her at some point (?)

Diana

Mirada

Thanks Diana, and Jarifa, you filled in what I missed. If I were Villalobos I’d be mad that my tennis game didn’t happen because of my friend’s affair with a girl 20 years younger. He also doesn’t like keeping secrets from his wife, he never has before. And now she’s questioning him.

Karen seems nice, she’s waiting for Pablo’s divorce papers to be signed before she makes her move. So she is more moral than her friend Gabriela.

Also, Octavio isn’t pleased with his artistic kids. He doesn’t think ballet and photography are ways to make a living. So he favors his lawyer daughter. I think her working with her dad is not a good idea. And she was thrilled to meet Gabriela! She’s bound to discover the truth. Will she be loyal to her dad?

Liz

Los Hilo’s

Maggie, that was my big question too! Why is he telling them both things that are making them doubt each other. Is he jealous of Manuel? I can’t figure it out. He really messed with Carolina and now she probably won’t trust Christina.

I’m wondering if the Padre will decide not to go to the Vatican. I think he’ll be afraid to leave his mother, who really looked bad last night. I’m anxious for him to run into Carolina!

Liz

Mirada

Liz, great point about Octavio’s lack of appreciation of the artistic ability of his children when it comes of making a living and how he seems to favor Antonia. Matilde is only 18! Give me a break!

MIRADA

Thank you Liz.

Ahh, so Karen IS waiting and ready to pounce! I appreciate your noting that. Too bad he is already infatuated with Eloisa. :)

Octavio seems to have three great kids (and a loving wife). Such a shame he only appreciates one.

I'm still not understanding the sexy photo shoot with Gabriela. What kind of PR is that? :(

Kat, it would have been nice to have you on the patio. I hope your Univision access gets sorted out soon.

Diana

Los Hilos

My theory, Maggie and Liz, is that Manuel’s false friend stands to gain financially if the marriage breaks up. I really don’t know why that would be. But he sure is like Iago, always whispering falsehoods. Is he related to them somehow?
I’m expecting Manuel will give in to Lorena soon, with fireworks to follow. As to Father Santiago, I figure his mom used some powerful encouragement (bribery?) to get the Vatican post for her son. He seems very happy serving where he is and probably hasn’t been doing this for himself.

MIRADA #3 Part 1

Sombras de desconfianza (Shadows of Distrust)

The dialogue was quick and fleeting and most beyond my comprehension. I did the best I could. Some of what I noted is simply a placeholder so if something important was discussed, kindly add…

Eloisa dons her art apron as she works on Octavio’s charcoal sketch. His words reverberate in her head…Then she recalls her shock as Pablo entered her bedroom and blushes.

Octavio comes home and gives a disapproving look in his son’s room…Matilde walks by, looking for some of her clothing. Octavio calls Gabriela (wearing a smirk) but Matilde and the housekeeper overhear him. Not sure what he said (was he talking to or inquiring about a lawyer?) but he gets a snack and looks concerned. He goes to Matilde’s room where she recalls the scene with Eloisa about her father’s watch. Another woman she asks? He tells her not to make problems where none exist.

Eloisa’s phone goes off and Octavio the slime kisses his daughter’s head. He puts his hand up to his head after he leaves and Eloisa is there, asking him if he is all right. Matilde gathers her siblings together and tells them their father has an amante. Antonia doesn’t believe it but Samuel seems to be giving it some thought.

Eloisa is in the beauty salon and overhears some tea. She races back home and smells her husband’s cologne. She opens his laptop and sees a reservation confirmation. Realizing he has a romantic rendezvous planned that doesn’t involve her, she puts her hands on her face and cries.

Pablo meets with a man and then Renata arrives. They seem to talk about Eloisa and her marriage crisis.

Villalobos tries to reason with Octavio about the way he is treating Eloisa. I thought Octavio mentions divorce.

Eloisa is at Matilde’s dance recital/competition and looks at the empty chair beside her. Then, Octavio blows in like an ill wind, a bouquet of pink roses in hand. It appears things didn’t go well as at home, Matilde is in tears, throwing things around her room, telling her mother to leave her alone.

Antonio is in a snit…Samuel tries to comfort Matilde and she gets up and gives him a hug.

Eloisa brings up the trip. “Eloisa”, Octavio begins hesitantly. I believe she thinks he arranged it for the two of them (?) but he doesn’t seem to correct her. She then brings him into her studio and reveals the portrait to him. She begins to kiss him passionately. We see his face and he is definitely not into it. But after a few more kisses, he somehow manages to thank her while pulling away. Ouch.

Diana

MIRADA #3 Part 2

Antonia is waxing on about how luxurious the amenities are where Octavio and she will be celebrating. Renata and Leticia are appropriately appreciative. Antonia show them a barely there one-piece thong swimsuit she plans on taking.

Pablo and his soon-to-be ex, Julieta, talk at the ballet academy. Matilde and her friend are there.

At home, Samuel is showing Eloisa pictures he took of Gabriela and she is very complimentary saying they are hermosa and that he is very talented. She asks if he has shown them to his father, no…oh boy…

Brief scene with Octavio, Gabriela and Villalobos who doesn’t appear happy. He later tells Gabriela their trip is off.

Buenos noches Octavio notes as he arrives home. He seems to want a bath and bed but Eloisa opens the computer to show him Samuel’s work (the sexy pictures of Gabriela). Naturally, he closes the computer and cuts her off.

Gabriela and Karen talk…

Eloisa and Octavio arrive at the hotel. Eloisa is delighted. She starts right away by kissing him, arms around his neck. We again see his face, a surly study in dismissal as he gets up.

Villalobos is appreciative of Leticia’s yoga workout. He admits that Octavio’s trip was planned with another woman. “Who” she demands to know. He says he has to be discreet. I am not responsible, he tells her (the coward). Leticia is very upset. We next see her talking with Renata who starts to call Eloisa. Leticia stops her.

As a hundred candles blaze in the background, Octavio (who seems to be three sheets to the wind) and Eloisa are together in their room. She rubs his arm and leans in to kiss him.

Man eater Gabriela and Antonia have dinner. Antonia talks about her family and I believe she tells her that her parents are off together. This causes Gabriela to get up and hyperventilating, leans against the wall around the corner. She calls Octavio who doesn’t answer as of course he is otherwise occupied.

I look forward to reading your comments. Kindly fill in to add to and/or correct what I got wrong.

Diana

Mirada

Thank you, Diana. Great job!

Octavio is getting careless. Matilde and the maid overhear him talking to Gabriela about the weekend reservations. When he sees their reaction, he quickly turns the topic to work as if that is going to help what they heard.

Octavio's watch and Eloísa's phone seem to be perfectly paired because she knows when he is upset (after telling Matilde that she didn't hear what she heard). He shows up at Matilde's audition with roses . Trying to be a good father with her mother to keep her mouth shut?

It seems that Matilde was not successful at the ballet audition. Her bro says to follow her dream, her mother tells her maybe to try a different kind of dance. She refuses to end up doing zumba.

There is some racy dialogue here. After suggesting that Pablo romance Eloísa, Renata tells him that she is sure he knows what to do with a mattress besides sleeping on it. Laugh laugh, wink wink.

It was mentioned somewhere that Gabriela had the photos taken for her novio as a two year anniversary gift.

Antonia mentions that her parents are away on a honeymoon celebrating their anniversary at a rented cabin in Marinalco..

Villalobos is in a tricky situation. Since when does a person have to share everything they know about everyone with their partner? On the other hand, he evidently has been entertained by Octavio's extracurricular activity enough so as to not put an end to any discussion about it.

MIRADA

Jarifa, thank you for all you so smartly added! Your comment that "Octavio is getting careless" is right on the mark.

I especially loved "Trying to be a good father with her mother to keep her mouth shut?" :) Exactly!

Renata is no shrinking violet is she?? LOL...

I can only imagine what Gabriela's retribution will be. I am only sure it will be swift and painful.

Things are coming to a swift boil.

Diana

Mirada

You rock, Diana! And thank you too Jarifa!

Do I have it right that Eloisa knew the cabaña wasn’t for her? I thought so, but she’s so happy and so loving when they get there that I wondered if I misunderstood.

Mirada
Maggie, I, too, was not clear about that so I am thinking Eloísa knew the cabaña wasn’t for her, was desperate and took advantage of the situation to try to save her marriage???

MIRADA

Thank you for that excellent point Maggie.

Eloisa looked so sad when she saw it on the computer!

Jarifa, I think you are right and that is exactly what happened. She cast her pride aside. For unreciprocated love. So sad.

Diana

Mirada

Thanks Diana and Jarifa. I like this show. Will they really be able to finish this in 16 days! It seems there’s a lot going on!

I was puzzled about the trip too. Eloisa shut the laptop but was it because she realized there really was a lover or because she thought she was seeing her surprise anniversary gift. Either way it’s obvious that Octavio forgot his 25th anniversary. Maybe he should have told Gabriela the truth, because now she is livid. As soon as Antonia and Gabriela made plans I knew Gabriela would find out. I think she said she wanted marriage and kids so she’s not just having a fling. I’m not sure about Octavio. Would he give up his family to start over?

If anyone is watching this and Los Hilos you saw what I saw. Mirada ended with Gabriela frantically texting her lover and Hilos began with Lorena frantically texting Manuel, who I hope doesn’t become her lover. But think he probably will, Lorena doesn’t seem to take no well.

Liz

MIRADA

Thanks Liz - I like the show too! It's going to be interesting to see how everything evolves...

My impression was that when Eloisa saw the reservation on the laptop, she looked devastated. Combined with the fact she's been told Octavio is having an affair, I thought she was sure it was for another woman.

I think having lunch with Octavio's daughter is the first small step of revenge for Gabriela. Good question about Octavio giving everything up for Gabriela. I think he'll try to continue to string her along.

Diana

MIRADA

I should clarify that I know Gabriela and Antonia already made their plans before Gabriela found out. I should have said she wanted to meet to find out information and attempt to worm her way into Antonia's good graces. Now, she'll do something in the name of revenge.

Diana

Hilos

That’s funny about the frantic texting at the end of Mirada and the beginning of Hilos! I don’t get Univision now, due to the dispute with YoutubeTV. I now watch this on Vix Premium, and I didn’t get that full effect of the texting continuity. My husband, who usually does other things while my TN/dizis are on, did notice the duplicate bowling, whereas those scenes went right over my head! Bright eyes all of you!

I’m disliking Leonardo even more. He is poisoning the marriage of Manuel and Carolina. He is also abusive toward Tamara.

I had been hopeful about Manuel and Carolina when she seemed to follow Elena’s advice. They had an affectionate night together, and then Carolina threatened Manuel as she left for Miami. That leaves Manuel in a perfect frame of mind to respond to Lorena, with plenty of encouragement from Leonardo.

The tour of Miami that Carlos gave Cristina was nice. They are getting to know each other outside of appearances. Cristina is relaxing more. I liked the actress in Amar a Muerte, so I hope she grows into her role here.

Carlos is putting her in jeopardy, however. He should have known not to go off sightseeing when they were there for a photoshoot. Now Carolina is really angry at Cristina. She brought her with her to keep her away from Manuel and now she’s drawing close to Carlos. Big mistake, since Cristina is no threat to Carolina’s marriage but is falling in love with Carlos.

I enjoyed the clothes shopping at the market. Lorena knows her way around. I was leery of what she might choose, but I liked the dress she wore to Miami. I’m glad she’s out of her jeans, which aren’t as flattering.

I think Father Salvador will stay because Maria Luisa is ailing. But, if he goes to the Vatican, is Carolina’s tour going to Rome?

I’m liking this a little better because more stuff is happening.
