I gotta recover from that for a second.

Okay, back to the beginning. There goes our detective. I’m going to miss him and he was crushed to lose his assignment. What a mess, all this family drama. And then here comes the ambulance with the man and woman who’d been in accident. She, his pregnant girlfriend about to pop, and then here comes his also pregnant wife who is furious when she finds out who was with her husband. That was quite a moment when the man, mourning his girlfriend, who didn’t make it, says to Timur that it was awful that she met him and fell in love with him and now look she’s dead because of that. That obviously shook the guilty Timur and it was a nice apology he made to Rengin about not being there when Parla was born and for other times she needed him. She needed to hear that and it did her good. It was also sweet that the wife of the fellow in the accident, who had just delivered her own baby but it was in the ICU, took right away to the mistress’s baby. That was unexpected!

I don’t understand Evren’s tremor. Why is it intermittent? I’d think you either have a hand tremor or you don’t. Otherwise it sounds like some kind of little seizure.

I don’t get what Timur was supposed to talk to Efsan about – why did he go over? And boy, that did not turn out as expected. That guy is a chick magnet.

I missed the pivotal word when the panel director told Evren he can (or was it can’t???) do surgery any more. Did you catch that? Which is it?

It's going to be lonesome here without the Velvet people. Meantime, the Velvet from Spain (I think it's the original) is about to start season 2 on my PBS station. I'll be watching that.

Maggie, I don’t think the panel has made the decision yet. They called Evren to tell him they were going to evaluate whether or not he can continue practicing as a surgeon or not.

I liked the apology to Rengin, long overdue, by Timur. When he finally understands something, he does take action. I like that about Timur.

Big surprise waiting for him with Efsun! She was making me very nervous as she was creeping toward him in her fancy wheelchair. My intuition was spot on! She kissed him! Do I think the reason she’s so hateful is sexual repression? Nah! This is probably intended to manipulate Timur. But, it’s an interesting twist!

The ER drama of the man with two pregnant partners was sad. I was really sad when the girlfriend died. When the wife took to the baby, did she know whose baby it was? I was surprised that the doctor allowed this, but it was clearly an emergency. Still, they must have procedures for unaccompanied infants. It will give the baby a chance at a home, if the wife can accept the additional child, and not just any child.

That was very touching when the wife accepted the mistress's baby. Seren probably overstepped boundaries as the father of the baby likely has rights, but since he wasn't married to her paternity likely needs to be established first. Since her new one is in NICU getting her milk established will be good for her, though her baby also needs the colostrum.
A personal anecdote here, 40 years ago I was a new mom in a rather backwoods hospital. I had my 8lb 11 oz baby boy 2.5 weeks early. Rooming in was not a thing then. The nurses fed my baby sugar water and they rarely had me nurse him, for 3 days! I'm glad things changed. My aunt would tell me she was put to sleep during her labors (not c sections) and presented with the baby afterwards. She thought that was just great! No nasty pain memories of labor.
Now back to the story, the specialist that Evren saw told him he would not be able to be a surgeon anymore, at least until the nerve damage repairs itself, maybe. I guess he will have to switch specialties or teach pre-med students. Did they just drop the story of the bad guys that shot him? Was Cem in their gang or something, I never really understood that part

I saw that kiss coming also. He isn't putting up much resistance! Probably because he is in shock. Efsun's ex stood by her in the hospital and brought her home apparently. Seems overkill to get an electric wheelchair for a broken leg. The hoi poloi uses crutches or non motorized wheelchairs.
