TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#1): Dinastía Casillas, Lejos de Ti, y más: Week of November 17, 2025
Here are the current telenovelas (all times are Eastern Standard Time):
9 - 10PM - Dinastía Casillas**
10 - 11PM - Lejos de Ti**
**On Tuesday, Nov. 18, Lejos de Ti will not be shown. According to what used to be Zap2It, FIFA Eliminations for the 2026 World Cup will run from 8-10PM, and Dinastía Casillas will be shown at 10. However, the Telemundo Program Guide claims that Dinastía Casillas will run at both 9 and 10 PM. My guess is that it will only run at 10, but who knows? The schedule will return to normal on Wednesday. However, on Thursday, both novelas will cede their space to Miss Universe. Things will return to the normal schedule on Friday.
Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.
By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes reference to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

Dondi – I’ve watched Muher, Karsu and Bahar. All three had wonderful sharp writing and complex characters. What a treat! I particularly liked the men, who had a sweetness you don’t see in the Spanish-language TNs or in fact in American shows. I liked how they treated each other too, how open they were with each other.
I just have to take into account that this dizi is more stylized and less realistic. But what is really galling me is the way women are treated. They are under their parents’ thumbs. They seem to be stuck in their family homes and their futures seem to be controlled by their families. The rule seems to be that they are to be seen and not heard. Any thoughts, feelings and needs they have are considered unimportant; it’s just the men’s affairs and needs that count.
It's true the men are playing for higher stakes in that they could start killing each other at any time. Only Sadakat is a threat among the women. In a way I don’t blame her – if she was treated as chattel her whole life, now she’s lived long enough to achieve being a matriarch and finally get power, and she wants to burn the whole damned thing down.
I’m glued to this show, though. Everyone’s intresting comments make it even more fascinating!
Jaime is so slippery & keeps avoiding his comeuppance as Diana & Isturiz were determined to kill him when Ismael & Co., showed up.
Maggie: If I recall, I understand that the 2025 Miss Universe pageant will be airing this week on Telemundo.
Maggie, according to what Juanita put up on today's page, we won't see Lejos de Ti tonight and Thursday night. Tonight is fútbol and Thursday is some kind of Miss Universe thing. It's often a good idea to read the text of each week's pages. Juanita and I both search the upcoming week to see if there are any preemptions and mention them.
Here’s a quickie.
Sedat keeps chasing Zerrin. He catches up to her and says, along with an evil leer, that he’s saving her from Kaya. Sedat and Kaya fight. Sedat pulls a gun. We the stereotypical scene of the two of them on the ground while the gun goes off and we don’t know who was shot. It was Sedat.
Cihan is appalled at his mother bringing that young girl for him to impregnate. He doesn’t get too far into his complaint because he gets a call from Kaya about killing someone.
Sedat didn’t die, but some relatives are at the hospital, faces like thunderclouds.
Come on. How is Demir on the scene every time there’s an Albora crisis.
Sadakat has come to the hospital as well. She tells Cihan she’s worried that, if Kaya goes to prison, he’ll be at the mercy of Ecmel.
Zerrin had a flesh wound. Awful Fidan tells Zerrin she has to say Kaya shot Sedat deliberately. Sada comes into the room. The two harpies talk over each other for what seems like forever.
Nare approaches Sahin. She tells him that Cihan won’t let her mother sell their home. They briefly embrace, but Demir takes a photo and sends it to Ozkan.
Alya tells Zerrin to follow her heart about what to say, while Cihan listens from the hallway. Zerrin tells the truth.
When Sada calls Cihan for an update, he unloads on her. He tells her that despite her trying to sell their house out from under them, Zerrin told the police that Kaya was only protecting her {and I assume that it was Sedat who pulled a gun).
Cihan and Alya talk. Mine thinks they look a bit too close and approaches. Cihan is annoyed with her for walking up when he’s speaking with Alya. She tries to arrange a tryst for that evening. He looks less than enthusiastic.
Well, I posted a comment, but it disappeared, so I'll just thank Novelera I watched last night's episode . This show reminds me of " Family " ...feuding families ...guns...Loyal body guards, evil fathers, the leading lady trying to live her own life ... susan
Susan, I looked for the message you say disappeared, but I couldn't find it. I did see the message I'm replying to, and also one addressed to dondi that you posted on the first Telemundo y Más page a day or so ago. I'm sorry, but the missing message just doesn't seem to be findable.
Maggie, I am also watching the Ken Burns series on The American Revolution. I am surprised at how many things I did not know! It's wonderfully well done, with an amazing cast of actors who read the lines written by figures such as George Washington and John Adams. It's especially enjoyable to hear John Adams' quotes and writings read by Paul Giamatti, who portrayed Adams in another PBS series years ago.
Novela: Thanks for the update and summary...
Yes..!.I am in....for Lejos..[well-- I am dipping my pinky toe in ...]
Hope this is not a rehashed Hercai?? with the matriarchal- she Wolf.....!
However, this Female lead has a career and I like that. She had /has a life besides marriage...
Caray family; have a great holiday. If it doesn't resume b4 next week.
Part 1 of 3
Erol tells Cihan that what Zerrin told the police is promising. They’ll see what happens with Sedat. Erol apparently has seen Kaya and tells Cihan he’s fine. Cihan asks that Kaya be able to speak to Zerrin.
We see a miserable looking Zerrin coming back from the hospital with Sihan at the wheel. She tells her brother that her mother knew what she told the police, and that the worst is still to come when her father weighs in. Back at the hospital Erol tells Cihan that the paper with his power to act was left with Sadakat. “You have to get her to sign it.”
Erol gives Kaya his phone to call Zerrin from inside his cell. It rings while she’s still moving toward home with Sahin at the wheel. Sahin doesn’t interfere while they talk about how much they love each other. Kaya tells her that she told the truth despite all the pressure she was under.
Hasan tells Sadakat over the phone that there’s still time. “Let’s don’t proceed with this.” Sada orders him to go on with the sale (of the property where Fidan, Sahin and Zerrin live) and to transfer the money to her account.
Demir gets a call from one Tufan Kadirga while Demir is pacing in that same hospital corridor where the relatives of Sedat were also awaiting news. Tufan is the one buying the house where Sahin and his family live. Because people could overhear, Demir relocates to the terrace of the hospital and calls Tufan back. Alya spies him and overhears him telling Tufan he’s sent the money. “Buy this konak for me. And then bring me las escrituras (the deed).
Alya immediately calls Cihan. “Your mother wanted to sell Sahin’s konak, right?” She tells him that the guy buying it is a simple worker, and he’s buying it for Demir. And that she overheard Demir discussing this. Cihan gets a grim look on his face, but thanks Alya.
Cihan approaches Demir, who’s stuffing his face with lunch. I expect fireworks, but Cihan sits down and is almost cordial. Tufan calls Demir, who asks if he has the deed. Tufan says the sale went through. Demir talks with this mouth full and says “What a shame. The mansion already belongs to me.” Demir’s father, Nadim approaches the table. “What mansion?” Grinning, Demir tells Nadim that the mansion where Sahin lives belongs to the murderer Sadakat, and he just bought it.
Cihan offers to order some water for Demir lest he choke on his food. But first he needs to make a call that he says he’ll put on speaker. He’s called Kadir and asks him to give the phone to Tufan. Demir stops grinning. Kadir gives Tufan the phone. Cihan says that he’s with Demir and his father. “Can you explain the purchase you just made.” Tufan: “When I got to the registrar’s office, the Albora guys put a gun to my head. They dragged Señor Hasan inside and made him transfer the property to them. The mansion is sold, but it’s not yours.” Cihan thanks him and hangs up.
Cihan, laying it on thick, tells Demir he’s disappointed Demir didn’t contact him if he wanted to buy a place. Demir knows he has a lot of contacts. Cihan tells him he ordered some water for him. After Cihan walks away, Nadim slaps Demir with a menu and tells him he’s a good for nothing. Demir asks what his father is doing there. I assume this restaurant is near the hospital because Nadim says he came for a checkup. “Don’t get so excited; I’m not going to die!”
Part 2 of 3
Fidan is yelling outside Zerrin's bedroom door, furious about Zerrin having told the cops the truth about what happened with Kaya and Sedat. She snarls at her son. Sahin says that Kaya only tried to protect Zerrin. Fidan yells that that woman sold the konak. They may have to leave tomorrow.
Sahin hears a knock and goes to the door. It’s Kadir, who’s come to deliver the deed to the konak, and it has Sahin’s picture on it. Kadir says Erol had a power of attorney, and Cihan had him arrange the sale. Fidan, of course, expresses zero gratitude.
Cihan comes to see Kaya in his cell. He asks if his brother has eaten and how he’s doing. He goes on to tell him that the konak is now in Sahin’s name. He also promises him he’ll get him out. Kaya chokes up a bit and says that Cihan is his brother, but also like his father.
Cihan comes home, and Deniz runs to greet him. Deniz says he misses Uncle Kaya. Cihan replies that his uncle had to leave for a while. Cihan has Ummu take the boy inside.
He brings Alya to his mother, who nastily wonders why she’s there. Cihan says that he brought her. “You sold the konak. Have you checked that the money is in your account?” When she replies that it’s there, he asks who she sold it to. Sada; “This doesn’t concern you.” Cihan: “If the person who bought it is Demir Baybars, then, yes, it concerns me.” Sada: “Of course I didn’t sell it to him!” She finally names Tufan, but Cihan tells her that Demir sent him to buy it. “And, if it weren’t for Alya overhearing Demir, who would own it now? Demir Baybars, right?”
Sada: “But I have the money. Who bought it?” Cihan: “I bought it, and I’m right at this moment transferring it to Sahin.” Sada: “Why’d you do that? Cihan: “Because it belongs to him.”
Ummu interrupts and a frustrated Cihan barks at her. She says that she can’t calm the young woman. She’s cried the whole day. Cihan: “She’s still here?” He runs out.
Sada tells Alya that she didn’t overhear Demir. Rather Demir told her himself, and then she told Cihan to gain his confidence, believing that this way he’d trust Alya more than his mother. Alya closes her eyes in disbelief. She replies that, yes, she wants to make Sadakat pay for everything she’s done to her, but she won’t do it with tricks. She’ll make her responsible for all the bad things Sada's done to her.
Cihan and Muzaffer come into the room where poor Zeynep is sobbing. Alya is right behind them. Cihan tells Muzaffer to find the parents of this girl and have them take her away. Sada enters and says she’s not going anywhere. Cihan: “Call them right now!” Muzaffer obeys Cihan.
Alya gives Zeynep some water and tries to comfort her. The girl stammers that she didn’t know what was going to happen, only something about a husband. Deniz runs in. Alya asks him to introduce himself. Deniz very sweetly does so and asks her to play a game with him on his tablet.
Cihan tells Sada he’s had it with her causing him problems. She knew he wouldn’t bed Zeynep, so why’d she do it. “The girl is going.” Alya comes in and Sada attacks. “Ask your wife. If she complied with her wifely duties, I wouldn’t have been forced to do this. Make her give me a grandchild, and the girl can go. Alya: “They’re forcing the poor girl to be here. She hasn’t stopped crying. How can you do something like this?” Sada: “Silence! You’re not a good wife; she’ll be one.
Part 3 of 3
Muzaffer comes in to tell Cihan that he contacted the girl’s parents and they’ll come for her tomorrow morning.
Cihan: “She’s leaving. And, since you brought her here without my consent, I don’t need yours. And, if you try to interfere, I’ll take her by the arm and take her to her parents, even if this humiliates her.” [It’s such a pleasure to see Sadakat lose and lose big.]
In Alya’s room she asks Cihan how her mother has the effrontery to do something like this. “Is it something that happens in your family?” Cihan reminds her she heard what he said to his mother. He tells Alya that Sada did it to try to drive her crazy with jealousy. He goes on to say that he knows she wouldn’t have been jealous. Alya: “I’ve been hurt enough just being married to you.” He looks hurt and says that he’ll try to keep her from being hurt more. She says that every day she’s married to him there’s even more hurt. [Alya, you’re pouring it on the guy who’s done two very kind things today.]
Deniz comes in and wants to play. Cihan has him set up a board that the boy can throw magnetic darts at. Alya watches how tender Cihan is with her son. While the boy is throwing the darts, Cihan says that his father and Kaya used to love to play canicas (marbles). Later on, only he and Kaya played.
Alya asks how old Kaya was when their father died, and Cihan replies that he was an adolescent. “Then the thing with Boran happened.” [Boran killing a Baybars because one killed his father.] “Kaya left school. It really bothered him. And now he’s in prison.” Alya: “Cihan, this was not your fault.”
Cihan asks Alya if she has siblings. No is the answer. Cihan says he talked with Deniz, who told him that he had a Canadian grandmother, but that she was not his biological grandmother. Alya says that the family adopted her when she was 17 and because her parents died. He tells her he’s sorry.
Deniz resists going to bed. He wants to keep playing. [Shades of my adult son jumping up and down and saying the same thing at Deniz’s age.] A pillow fight ensures. Cihan smiles at the two of them. They pretend to be fighting kung fu. Cihan leaves them to it and goes into the other room. Mine texts him. Alya and Deniz fall asleep in that nice big bed. While Cihan covers them, that annoying song in Spanish they’ve chosen plays.
Cihan arrives at Mine’s place.
Zeynep’s parents come for her in the middle of the night, and a henchie wakes up Muzaffer. A bit later Alya also wakes up and hears something. She sees Zeynep being taken away. Alya runs out asking why they’re doing this at such an hour. Zeynep puts a note in Alya’s hand before she’s dragged away. “If I’m sent to my home, my family will kill me. Please help me.” They hustle Zeynep into the car. But Alya tries to stop them. Muzaffer doesn’t understand and asks why she’s doing this.
Alya gets behind the wheel of a car and pursues. We see the sun come up. Zeynep’s father (Dilaver) is driving and looking grim, while Zeynep’s mother kisses her forehead, tears running down her cheeks. Ah, Muzaffer has also followed and calls Cihan. He says they’re on their way to Diyarbakir. [I looked it up and this is about 60 miles from Mardin.]
