Papas #36. Part 1

We see Tino, some time earlier, at the bank trying to get another loan. They won’t do it unless he puts up property or something. Now Aide is upset because she learns he put the house up, it it’s in both their names. They apparently need to pay that V person who’s not investing anymore. Tino says he can do it, Aide is angry, then Gisela walks in.

Emi is looking sad as he stares at a picture of his parents and him. Bill tells him we make decisions sometimes out of anger, but we can fix it. He then says he saymPaulina and she wants to see him.

Pipe doesn’t want to see Rudolf. Prisma tells him he doesn’t have to and takes the twins to brush their teeth. Clara Luz asks Nazario why he didn’t mention the detective questioned him. He tells about Rudolf getting drunk but he also said he believed Rudolf was innocent. He doesn’t know if the detective believed him.

Yenimruffles Poncho’s hair as he’s doing his homework. He and Chofis have similar assignments on the family. Chofis learns Serena isn’t his biological mom, but he feels she’s his true mom.

Gisela tells Aide and Tino she found some of her jewelry in Aurelio’s bag. He comes in and says he didn’t take them. Hernan comes in and implies he’s not trustworthy. Aurelio decides to resign. Hernan says good, because he is honest and can do the job. They tell Aurelio not to resign. Later alone Tino gives Aide a pep talk, they can do this together. She asks if they really can.

Apparently Aurelio did resign. Hernan tells the kids he can take them to school, etc. He suggests a movie, grandparents and kids. Circe says no. Alone at the table Melina suggests they accept her client. With her commission she and Iker could move out.

Bill isn’t going to work so they can do what Emi wants. He says he didn’t like how he was left out at home after Iker came, and accused of things. Paulina calls, Bill is sure she’ll want to see him, he says ok.

Melina says her client knows about Gibron and is interested in investing with them. He’s a businessman she knows from the casino. Tino talks Aide into agreeing.

Serena shows up at Chuchitos school and presents a poster of me,orines of Luchita with Chuchito. He shares with the class his memories.

The kids at school are calling Poncho Virgin, it’s on social media too.
Nazario goes to see Rudolf and tells him the detective confiscated his phone and saw the video of him drunk outside Gibron’s house. Rudolf wonders why he recorded it. He leaves when the lawyer arrives. She knows about the video and doesn’t look happy.

Aide is trying to get Circe to go to school, it’s important and Aide was able to do it. Gisela comes in and says the detective is there to talk to her and Tino.He tells them they can go back to working in their business. Also there were inconsistencies at the crime scene. Tino will get everyone here to get things ready. Melina’s client will be meeting with them.

Papas #36 part 2

Poncho is now getting teased in the classroom. He leaves. Chuchito and
Serena talk about his mom. He will guard his mom and Serena in his heart

Hernan tells Gisela he is still hurt that she thought he was the thief, he’s not sure he can forgive her. She might be interested in his business, not investing yet. She needs to learn more about it.

Melina is getting all dolled up. She gets a text from a male saying he’s ready.

Tino and Aide thank Nazario and Prisma for coming to the office. Clara Luz is with the twins. Melina arrives dressed to kill ahe introduces Esteban Urbano.

Poncho is home looking at social media when Serena and Cheno come in. He tells them the teacher let him leave early, Serena is proud of him and is going to fix something special. Cheno asks him if he knows where Jenny is. He goes to his mom and I think he tells her he didn’t do that well, anyway he goes to,study.

Chochito is telling Chofis about Serena coming to school. He tells her she brought photos of his mom. Chofis wonders where she got them. Chochito tells her that’s not important, he’s never going to forget his mom.

Everyone seems very impressed with Esteban. He’s saying all the right things. Aide is looking at her phone and asks him a few questions, he gives the right answers and Melina is glowing. Then he says he wants to buy into their business.

Íker tells Emi he’s very angry with everyone in the family. Emi tells him it’s not important it Iker tells him it’s very important. Emi goes to Bill.

Aide tells Esteban it’s a family business, not open to new partners. He says he can bring money, contacts etc. Aide wonders if this was Melina’s idea. He says it’s his idea. He and Melina leave. Nazario says something that literally made no sense, and he and Prisma leave. Tino is impressed with Esteban. Aide thinks no one offers to buy into,a business that quickly. Tino thinks he’s a businessman that thinks well of their company. Meanwhile Esteban is asking when he’ll get his money. As soon as she gets her commission she says. She also mentions the necklace. I wonder if he’s the buyer.

The lawyer has good news for Rudolf. In addition to the inconsistencies at the crime scene, he’s on a camera downtown at the time Gibron was killed.

Paulina o es I. To where Emi and Bill are sitting. She knows he might not be ready to accept her as a mom, it can they be friends. He says yes, and she gives him a gift. It’s technology he can use in his wheelchair, or on? She asks him about school.

Clara Luz, Nazario and Prisma are talking. Lara Luz hopes this new person can help the business. Good old Nazario has to mention how Rudolf ruined the business. Clara Luz tells him Rudolf will be getting out soon. Nazario wonders how Pipe will take that, just as Pipe throws a major fit. Nazario leaves.

Tino and Aide are fighting over the business. Aide doesn’t want to sell part of the business. She mentions Melina’s commission. Tino thinks this is the only option to save the business. It sounds like they’re wondering if they can save the marriage.

Melina and Hernan are arguing about the necklace. She tells him she decide when to sell and how much she’ll give him. She mentions El Chacal just as Gisela comes out. She repeats the name to them.

Three men enter Rudolf’s cell and beat him up.

Aide and Tino continue arguing. He says bringing in a partner is the best idea, they can pay some of their debts, pay the guy that wants out and save the business. They do a lot of blaming each other. Aide said he can sell part of his half, and as the usiness splits she suggests their marriage is done too.

Thank you for your all encompassing and clever recap Liz.

It seems there has always been an inordinate amount of tension betwen Aide and Tino, simmering beneath the surface. I have to commend Melina she has spewed her poison well and effectively. Tino and Aide were certainly having their problems but now the "d" concept has been uttered and will be hanging over their heads. I hope they come to their senses.

It doesn't seem either Tino or Aide are going to vet their possible new partner! What are they thinking? Oh yeah, they're not!! Esteban is too good to be true. I hate how Melina is manipulating them.
I was surprised Serena isn't Poncho's biological mother. I like Serena, she has such a good heart. I was moved by her presentation to Chuchito's class. She will be an excellent influence on him...

I loathe Poncho's bullying. Kids are so cruel.

Gisela isn't as smart as I've given her credit for.

MONTEVERDE #26, Part 1

Juanita and Hugo are walking when she sees Carlos a mere few feet away. She immediately grabs Hugo and envelops him in a lip lock. He, not understanding, is completely besotted as she pushes him away and apologizes.

“Julieta” Lucia comments (looking none too pleased) as she enters Franco’s house. “Why are you here?” “Didn’t Franco tell you” is Julieta’s retort. At that precise moment, right on cue, Franco walks in. Lucia asks him why Julieta is here in his house. He stares but doesn’t respond. Arms folded, she asks him again. “Habla” she demands. What is it? Julieta is embarazada he admits. “You are having a baby with Julieta” she stares in shock and dismay. Yes is the terse response. Then she asks if he is sure she is pregnant and gets an affirmative nod. Are you sure the baby is yours? Yes he admits. She is beside herself not wanting to hear anything else; she tells him “no quiero” and storms out as he cries.

Eva knocks on Oscar’s job. We hear another “why are you here”. She is looking for Franco. Is he here? No Oscar says. Eva tells him Franco was at Manuels’s swilling (my word) tequila. She is concerned and wants to find him.

Hugo and Julieta pull over. He wants to know what is wrong. I was confused and couldn’t exactly follow. At first I thought she told him there’s another man. He tells her not to worry; they will be friends. Esta bien he says. But then she says Carlos is the father of Andres and Carolina is the mother. He will keep her secret.

Oscar goes to the stables looking for Franco.

Carlos and associate are poking around the bus station asking drivers if they’ve seen a woman and her son.

“Hermana” Eva greets Carolina. Would she like coffee or water? Water. They talk about Oscar as Carolina stares. I believe Eva is asking for Carolina’s advice but I think Carolina says she doesn’t have much experience. I think Eva says she wants to recoup her family!?

Juan David visits Manuel. Gloria walks out shocking Juan David. Gloria huffs and spits out she is having coffee with Manuel, what is the problem. Manuel gives him a bottle of wine which he pays for. Gloria is clearly peeved.

“You are going to be a father” Lucas repeats to Franco. There is a knock on the door and Oscar enters; without preamble he says Eva came to him and said Franco is upset. What is wrong he asks? Julieta is pregnant and I’m the father.

“Pregnant” Rosalia stares at Lucia?? Yes. Rosalia says some women manipulate the situation and says something about getting a definitive test. Rosalia tells a distraught Lucia that Franco loves her.

Oscar hugs Franco, delighted at the news. Oscar says how wonderful having a child will be. Father and son hug, Oscar ecstatic, Franco, not so much!

A smiling Carolina joins the women and Andres. She is ready to bite into something delish when Doris reminds her they haven’t prayed. Carolina seems momentarily startled, then realizes what’s occurred. She gives a mercifully short blessing.

Angelina tells cranky Gloria thank Juan David is the love of her life.

Carlos and the detective (do we know his name?) walk into a bar and (purposely) talk about Carolina and Andres as the bartender listens. Did they pass through there? They later make plans to continue to track them down.

Juanita tells Carolina about seeing Carlos. Naturally, Carolina is upset as they talk, putting her head in her hands. I think she told her she told Hugo, but he is trustworthy.

A man comes in and talks with Doris, I believe about the missing bus…

MONTEVERDE #26, Part 2

“Eva” Nestor says running into her. I think she says she wants to be friends with him. Does he tell her he’s leaving Monteverde?

Juan David is playing the radio, dancing with himself and spraying himself far too liberally with cologne. Trinidad comes in (to his shock) and thinks it’s for her. He pulls back and she asks if there is another woman. Juan David fumbles and explains as only he can. He locks the door and gets out bed sheets. Meanwhile, Angelina pulls the old pillows in the bed routine as she puts on her shoes, opening the bedroom door and quietly leaving.

Oscar tells Eva that Franco is a good man. He is going to be a father! “A papa” she answers, musing she thought he’d be happy rather than the upset, angry reaction she saw. Oscar explains he is not having the baby with Lucia. Thank you for telling me she says. You will be an abuelo she smiles; you, an abuela Oscar replies. She smiles but is still trying to process.

Juan David throws the twisted bed sheets down the window onto the street as Angelina climbs up to his room. He proudly shows off the wine as they profess their love. He opens the bottle and sprays Angelina head to toe as she sniffles.

Doris goes to Manuel’s; she wants him to go with her to get the bus.

Hugo is having a dream, but not in technicolor, in black and white. He is a cowboy, Juanita in a long dress as he is prepared to participate in a gun fight over her. Mi amor she says running to him as they kiss. Back in real life, Manuel is trying to walk him up but can’t. Manuel gives Doris the keys and warns her to be careful.

At Angelina and Juan David’s, there is furious banging on a door as Gloria is woken up. It’s Trinidad looking for Angelina. Gloria opens the door and thinks Angelina is there, telling Trinidad so.

Franco is restless and gets up…

Doris drives Manuel’s car into the woods, gets out with a flashlight …

Lucas gets up and Franco, sitting at the table scares the heck out of him. He tells him he can’t sleep but he doesn’t want to bother him with his problems. He seems to say he has an obligation to Julieta but is clearly miserable.

Angelina and Juan David are sipping their wine (which they don’t appear to like) and then start kissing passionately. All of a sudden, there is a knock on the door. It’s Gloria!! They look at each other helplessly. Juan David opens the door and Gloria flies in (Trinidad by her side). There’s no one here he declares as Trini, double checks, looking under the beds. Gloria knows he is entertaining someone, betraying her daughter! They leave in a huff as Carolina leans against the wall. Oops, time to get the bed sheets out and climb back out the window.

Lucia sits up in bed, wide awake, staring into the dark.

Gloria throws the flashlight in the car as she sees the bus careening down the road. Oh no, she runs in front of it as whomever is driving slams on the brakes. But it’s too late, the bus hits her and she falls down in front of it!

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Lucía is even more angered when she finds out that Franco and Julieta didn't use birth control when they had sex.

Carlos and the detective decide to find out more about the nun and her connection to the area.

Manuel is going to rent a room to Julieta at the inn.

Juanita first tells Hugo that she cannot tell him what is going on but then agrees to.There is a man in Zacatillo that she doesn't want to see her. She makes it clear that the man is not her novio, it is nothing like that. She reluctantly agrees to tell him the truth but he has to promise, swear to keep it a secret.

The detective's contact at the bus station says that he hasn't see the woman and her child who supposedly went to Chiapas. He thinks they must have stayed there. Carlos asks about a San Fernando. The contact says that San Fernando is about two hours away from there. Carlos explains to the detective that when he was in Chiapas with Carolina she told him that all of this time she and Andrés had ben in San Fernando. He is thinking that they probably went back there. They will find out!

Eva tells Carolina that in spite of all the years that have gone by, Oscar still has this seductive personality. As they were talking, she felt this fascination for him like when they were together. She also thinks, sometimes, that he feels the same about her. She asks Carolina if she thinks a love like that can be revived.

Juan David goes to Manuel to get a bottle of sparkling wine! Something with a cork that will pop off and wine that will blow all over. Gloria gives him the third degree about why he would want a bottle of sparkling wine. He says the girls at the inn wanted it to cook with. She knows that is not used for cooking. Juan David answers that he has no idea. When he leaves, Gloria wonders what he would want a bottle of sparkling wine for in the first place. She knew from the start that he was not a good match for Angelina. He is going to get drunk with who knows who while her poor daughter is alone at her home. Manuel defends Juan David. Gloria thinks he is an adulterer and she will not stop until she proves it!!!

Carolina tells Eva that she has her doubts about a love being revived after so much time and especially in her case with Oscar wanted nothing to do with her but then she hasn't had any experience. . . Eva has to agree but it would be lovely if it did happen. If only she could get her family back! Carolina thinks she might be mixing up feelings of nostalgia with a real desire to get back with Franco. Eva agrees that could be. She keeps asking herself what might have been if she never left. Carolina says the hard truth is that she did leave but now at least she has been able to talk to Oscar. Eva says and he brought up feellngs in her that she had forgotten. Carolina takes a drink of water and "smiles."

Lucas tells Franco that he can still be with Lucía and care for his child. Lucas tells him to give Lucía time.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras 2

Looks like a paternity test will be on the agenda some time for Franco. Lucía doesn't know if she can go nine long months waiting to find out if the baby is Franco's or not.

*The characters mainly refer to Julieta as "la peruana." She must be from Perú.

Gloria tells Angelina about the bottle of wine and how Juan David must be cheating on her most likely with Trinidad. Angelina plays along acting distraught with the news. Gloria will put that woman in her place! Angelina tells her that she will do that herself!

The detective and Carlos end up in a bar where they hope to get info from the bartender. They start to talk about a nun and a boy who is Carlos' son who was abducted and not being able to find them. . . The bartender can only tell them that he heard that there was a nun that came through town that wasn't from San Fernando.

Carolina tells Juanita tha she cannot believe that Carlos was in Zacatillo. She remembers when Carlos asked them where they were staying. She cut Andrés off from answering by saying they had been in San Fernando which is only a couple of hours on the other side of Zacatillo. She is sure that Carlos and the detective will go there looking for them and when they do not find them, they will continue their search all over this area. Carolina tells Juanita if she trusts Hugo, then she does , too.

Carlos says the bartender saying that the nun was seen three weeks ago corresponds to the time that the detective saw her in Zacatillo. Carlos decides they will go looking for the nun, Carolina's sister. He will not leave San Fernando without seeing her and finding out where Carolina and his son are.

Tiburcio gives Doris a tip about her bus. He saw it go by about a half an hour ago at the Los Suspiros interchange.. He saw a man driving it but he couldn't tell who it was. Doris wants Hugo to come with her and wait at the intersection to see if the bus comes back.

Néstor tells Eva that he is definitely leaving town. He is following his instincts.

Doris goes to Manuel looking for Hugo to go with her in search of her bus. Manuel thinks that Tiburcio might be leading her on. She says he would have nothing to gain by that and believes him. Manuela warns her to be careful because of the people that could have taken her bus. Hugo is asleep and cannot be awakened so Manuel loans his SUV to Doris to go wait at the intersection.

When Juan David opens the bottle of sparkling wine, the cork hits Angelina in the forehead.

Franco doesn't know what to do. He loves Lucía but he doesn't want to be the kind of father that his child only sees on the weekends.

What a wonderful episode as we amble along. I loved the dream, the "sparkling wine" rendezvous, Doris at the intersection, Gloria's inquisition. Such good comedy!

I always learn something new from you! Today it is "la peruana."

"Eva tells Carolina that in spite of all the years that have gone by, Oscar still has this seductive personality". She looked so wistful! I have to say though that I see no chemistry between the two actors. Of course, I think Carolina and Oscar generate fireworks so cannot be objective I fear. :)

"Lucas tells Franco that he can still be with Lucía and care for his child". Hope may spring eternal, but I just can't see it in this particular instance.

"Néstor tells Eva that he is definitely leaving town. He is following his instincts". Fear perhaps??? :)

Is it just me or is the detective rather inept??

"Fear perhaps??? :)" Good call! If he is being smart, he doesn't want to be in town when Oscar finds out his role in Eva's leaving him. He needs to get going while the going is good because I cannot see that being kept under wraps for much longer.

No, that detective doesn't seem to be too swift.

I think that Lucía should give Franco to Julieta. He didn't think about contraception??? Give me a break!! He is either not too bright or is careless. She deserves better.

I hope Doris is fine and cannot wait to see who gets out of that bus!!

I didn't need to see another innocent prisoner beaten up . It seems that that type of scene happens in every novela lately .
Hmmm....doesn't seem like a good idea to get involved with a guy that slithering Melina knows from a casino . Is he another addicted gambler like hideous grifter Hernan? I cannot wait for karma . Susan
 

Papas #37. Part 1

It opens years earlier with Tino proposing. Now they’re discussing divorce and how it will affect the kids.

Gisela wants to know about El Chacal as she heard them mention him. Hermon tells her he thought he saw him but doesn’t want to alarm Tino and all.

Paulina is telling Emi if he goes to the US with her she will help him with his therapy so there’s a better chance of it working this time.

Chachito is telling Checo about the photo poster of his mom. Poncho is on his phone reading the stuff the kids are saying. Serena looks at him, worried.

Aide and Tino are talking about the divorce. They don’t want Emi to be told yet. Gisela comes in talking about Hernan seeing El Chapel. He says he’s not sure, as Tino thinks they should call the police. At dinner the kids wonder why their parents are so quiet. They ask Melina and Iker to leave, the grandparents leave also, and they tell the kids they’re getting a divorce. Uli tells them it’s their decision but the girls are upset. Melina is lurking. The kids decide they should tell Emi. They wonder about Lila is is still part of their family.

Pipe is upset that Rudolf might come home. He yells that he murdered Gibron. Nazario isn’t helping as Rosario calls.

Chofis is talking to her dad. She doesn’t like that Sarena is acting like a mom.Cheno says no one will replace their mom but to remember that they were divorced and there was no romance between them

Melina is consoling Tino. She feels it’t her fault. He talks about her client but she says this is no time to talk business, He tells her he will sell his shares to the client. Hernan just wanted to know where they will all go. Meanwhile Gisela is blaming Melina. Then she says half the world is divorced and she’s an expert on it. But Aide should have talked to her.

Uli tells Emi but he’s pretty indifferent. Uli says they’re going to try and get their parents to reconcile, Emi says count him out. It when alone he blames himself. Circe is talking to Aide, comparing their marriages. Aide tells her not to compare, Circe asks if the divorce is necessary, Aide says it is. She says they’ll decide where everyone will live later.

Iker feels bad for Tino and Aide. Melina says he needs to get close to Tino. Aide comes in to talk to Melina. Melina already knows everything. She starts her I’m so sorry. Aide knows her true feeling so tells her to cut the ——. Then she says she wants them gone by the weekend. Melina says they’ll go, but notvery far. Íker will be living with Tino. Melina says they can’t leave that soon. That’s not Aide’s problem. Tino comes in to see what the shouting is about and Melina tells Tino Aide is throwing Iker and she out. Aide says no, Iker is welcome, but not her. Tino disagrees and Aide tells him he can move out to. He’ll be out Monday. Circe hears it all.

Uli has an idea to keep the parents together. He says not to involve Iker as he is with Melina.

Bill tells Emi the ties to his siblings can’t be broken, just as his ties to his parents also can’t, it’s not biological, it’s love. Emi gets a text from Uli.

Rosario has good news for Clara Luz. The exam of Rudolf’s injuries showed a previous wound in his arm. He wouldn’t have had the strength to kill Gibron. He’ll be freed.

Tino says he’ll find a place close so he can see the kids. Aide mentions Melina and he can be roomies as she said they’ll same thing. They both get a text from Uli sending them his location. They leave.

Gisela tells Hernan she doesn’t like the crypto currency, it’s virtual and she likes to have her money. He’s trying to convince her when Aide comes in and asks her to watch Alexander.

Aide and Tino go to the location. The kids have a table set for dinner, a dinner to save their marriage.

Papas # 37 part 2

Clara Luz is telling Prima and Nazario about Rudolf’s beating. She asks that they don’t tell the twins. Prisma has kind words for her as Clara Luz leaves to rest. Prisma turns to Nazario and wants him to tell her he had nothing to do with the attack. He wonders why she would think he’s some kind of criminal. Then he goes on about jealousy being bad.

The kids think their plan is working, then they realize they’re arguing. A guard comes along and says they can’t be there without permission from the owner. At home they tell the kids what they did was sweet but they’re getting a divorce. Plenty of families manage through a divorce.

Emi comes up romScarlett in school wondering about their plan. He has a plan but will need a lot of help. He’s going to talk to Uli.

Sarena is passing out lunches as everyone is leaving. She tells Chifis to fix what she wants. It’s her last day doing therapy with Gisela. Chofis cooks breakfast as Yeni sits down and wonders what’s for breakfast. Then Poncho comes in reading more stuff on his phone. When Chofis complains about Sarena he defends her. She wonders why. He tells her she can’t have kids but has raised him, and though he can miss his mom he also has Sarena who cares for him like a mom.

The team is doing a video call with Melina’s client, who is in NY and looking forward to being a part of Maximax. After, Tino tells Aide he’ll sleep in the room with his dad. And he asked Bill to bring Emi back this afternoon so they can tell him about the divorce. He leaves and Melina tells Aide she has some apartment options.

Rudolf dreamed Clara Luz was with him for hours. She tells him she was. Rosario comes in to tell them good news.

Tino and Melina are talking when Iker walks in and says he needs her to take him for school supplies. She’s busy and Hernan offers to take him. He wants his mom to go, Tino tells her she should go. Scarlet looks excited and Uli is serious.

Sarena tells Fisela it’s their last day. Gisela will miss her. Gisela mentions the divorce and Sarena says you’ve been divorced. Then Sarena mentions Aurelio and how he can’t find a job.

Aide asks Tino if he’s sure about selling his shares. I think he said” they were never mine”. Nazario points to them and tells Prisma something is strange. They all hear noise outside and go out. There’s a band and all the kids, and Chofis and her family are there. Circe talks about all the lives that have been changed because of them, as music is played and there’s singing. Aide and Tino end up holding hands.

Iker talks about staying or leaving the house, don’t know which, but Melina says he’s always changing his mind. She asks if he’s hiding something. He mentions going to the movies. Then she’s sure something’s up. He tells her she’s changed, she’s not the mom he knows. She starts to hit him but stops.

After the singing stops Clara Luz tells them how much they helped her and changed her life, then Cheno, standing with Sarena tells them how he helped him with a job, then .Sarena talks about them, and then Aurelio. MONTEVERDE #27, Part 1

We see glaring headlights as the bus roars down the road. Doris comes out of the dark directly in the path of the bus. The driver slams on the brakes but it’s too late. Doris has been hit. We see someone emerging from the bus. It is Cárcamo! He tells her he took the bus out of love. For her, for Doris! She screams at him, livid and not the least impressed. She thought he was Froilán! He is loco for her he pleads desperately. She is going to tell Manuel. She gets in the bus and takes off.

Gloria looks in Angelina’s room and sees her sleeping. She is pretending of course and jumps out of bed the moment her mother leaves. 😊

“Mal” is Lucia’s response when Rosalia asks her how she is.

Scene stealer Moises and Oscar talk. He tries to explain the Julieta situation. He is going to be a grandfather!

Julieta struts downstairs at Manuel’s where Rosalia and Lucia are having breakfast, Hugo behind the bar. Julieta starts in and Rosalia pops up, ready to rumble. Julieta tells Lucia how complicated this must be for her. She then basically makes them uncomfortable and they leave. She sprawls all over a seat and I’m getting bad vibes from her lying eyes. Rosalia is in a snit and I think she has some plan.

Inept Columbo and Carlos are on their never-ending quest to find Carolina.

Father Gabriel is ecstatic about the baby! He goes on and on to Eva; a baby!!! His enthusiasm is contagious. She has to smile as do I.

Moises joins Andres and Carolina in the classroom, spilling all the beans.

Hugo and Manuel have a conversation I couldn’t understand.

The women tease Doris – how romantic! Doris is all smiles revealing that despite her anger to her besotted beau, she is thrilled by the turn of events.

The father has wonderful news but it is interrupted by news of Doris’ wild and crazy bus adventure.

Lucia comes in and the father envelops her in a hug. Oh no! It is immediately obvious the father only got half of the news right. He announces Lucia is pregnant with Franco’s baby as the women scream and exclaim their happiness for her. Lucia looks thunderstruck, frozen in place.

Eva greets Franco and tells him Oscar shared the news with her. How is Lucia she asks? I don’t know is the answer. She gives him some advice and declares that being a father is not easy. She is sweet and kind to him. He thanks her as she puts out her hand, caressing his cheek.

MONTEVERDE #27, Part 2

Doris and the women are so happy, failing to see that Lucia looks like she wants to melt onto the floor. Finally, Doris stops dead in her tracks, sensing something is terribly wrong. I’m not pregnant Lucia says quietly. I’m sorry the padre says, again misinterpreting, thinking it was a false alarm. I am not the mother of Franco’s child she admits in heartbreak; it’s Julieta. She cries and leaves. The padre looks thunderstruck.

Juanita, Hugo and Carolina talk. Carolina thanks him and he assures her that her secret is safe with him. Juanita is right, you are a good man Carolina says.

Father is in church, apologizing to the highest authority for his misunderstanding what occurred. Cárcamo comes in and the father upbraids him, he could spend years in jail for what he did! Cárcamo confesses his love for Doris. The father is not mollified even when Cárcamo says he is going to propose marriage. The father thinks he is off his rocker…

Devastated Lucia tells Rosalia what happened. I can’t translate Lucia’s grief but it is painful to watch.

Dumb and dumber are inquiring about Sister Celeste’s whereabout. The detective, fishing for information, lies saying she is his tia. The mother superior comes out and it appears it is another dead end.

“Mi amor” Franco greets a smiling Lucia (as the sheep bleat). It seems she is going to stand by him. I love you he says in relief and joy, picking her up and kissing her passionately. It won’t be easy Franco states (‘ya think??) She says how important his relationship with the baby is. The only woman in the world for him is she he assures her as the music swells.

Gloria flies in on her broom, confronting the women about Juan David. She wants to know who the traitor is, who is the amante of Juan David! This is met with great anger and resentment. Gloria is shown the door.

Juanita and Hugo quietly talk when a customer summons her. Oh my he is handsome I interject.

At work, Juan David and Angelina talk and flirt; she tells him how intelligent he is. The good padre comes in and they pretend to fight. Father Gabriel starts to lecture when Gloria comes in. She tells him Juan David is an adulterer!! The poor father looks flabbergasted. What a day he’s having!

Outside Angelina tries to calm her mother down. Inside, the father angrily questions Juan David as to who his amante is!! Juan David explains their ruse as the poor padre prays for patience.

Julieta comes into Franco’s beyotching about Lucia. She throws a bag on the table and then removes a pregnancy test. She is going to take it right here and now. “It’s not necessary” Franco stammers but she stalks off.

Cárcamo comes in, hat in hand as the women start upbraiding him. He asks for a moment alone with Doris. Nopis, no one is budging. All of a sudden, he kneels and pulls out a box where a diamond ring is nestled. He asks the question, sweetly asking Doris if she will marry him as the women gasp.

MONTEVERDE #27, Part 3

Julieta comes out waving the pregnancy stick in Franco’s face. He repeats again it’s not necessary. She fake cries and says something that leaves him open mouthed. Jarifa, can you kindly explain?

Doris is nonplussed. She says yes, but it’s not to the proposal. He has a grand love for here as the women smile and sigh.

It seems Julieta is leaving but not so fast. As she walks to the car, she gets faint and collapses. Manuel and Hugo run to her aid. Lucia is at Rosalia’s when a man rushes in to fetch her.

Doris tells the good father Cárcamo proposed. Did you accept he asks? It was so romantic she tells him. It looks like the good father is in favor.

Oscar comes to Franco’s who fills him in. All of a sudden, Hugo bursts in saying Julieta is in a bad way. He and Oscar exchange shocked, worried looks. And there we end.

I wish I could have translated more, especially what Julieta and Lucia said in their respective scenes. A terrible night for poor Lucia! I fear Julieta is pulling out all the stops, desperate to hold onto Franco. I was surprised Lucia plans to stick by Franco. We shall see if that lasts.

Liz, you are a lifesaver. I had to miss most of this and you covered everything in fine detail.

It was so sad watching a relationship that began with such promise deteriorate almost to the point of no return. I was shocked to read that the kids' ruse worked but relieved. I can't help but wonder though for how long...

"Iker talks about staying or leaving the house, don’t know which, but Melina says he’s always changing his mind. She asks if he’s hiding something. He mentions going to the movies. Then she’s sure something’s up. He tells her she’s changed, she’s not the mom he knows. She starts to hit him but stops". This is extremely important. And fascinating. Interesting Iker thinks Melina has changed; she seems so cold and calculating but perhaps she has and we are seeing the worst of her. She certainly isn't done yet.

I loathe Hernan more with each passing episode.

Your vivid descriptions were so helpful Liz. If I have time tomorrow, I will try and watch this in its entirety.

Cárcamon has also followed Doris around at night to make sure she got home safe and sound. Froilán is only something people made up to entertain themselves. If he is crazy, he is crazy in love with her. Doris tells Carcamón to return Manuel's SUV.

Rosalía tells Lucía to got talk to Franco. She is sure they will solve their problem together.

Oscar tells Moisés he is going to be an uncle. Moisés thinks that is weird because uncles are usually adults! He also reminds Oscar that Franco's mother will be the baby's grandmother! He wonders if she will stay in town to be close to her grandchild. Oscar has no idea.

Julieta tells Lucía that she hopes that she doesn't get in her way when it comes to Franco. Now that she is pregnant. her baby deserves to grow up in a family. Lucía has no plans to do that but brings up it is Julieta who is getting in between her and Franco. Lucía respected her relationship with Franco and now she expects the same. Rosalía jumps up and tells her to prove she is pregnant beyond a doubt by taking a lab pregnancy test. Maybe this is a way to get Franco back. Julieta answers that she doesn't have to prove she is pregnant to anyone. Julieta knows that this is complicated for Lucía but that's life!

Rosalía tells Lucía that she is innocent when it comes to Julieta. She is an opportunist, evil. Lucía thinks she crossed a line telling her to get a lab test. Rosalía disagrees and mentions a lie detector. Lucía laughs and says she doesn't think Julieta is lying about the pregnancy. They both laugh about her using a pillow under her clothes if she isn't.

Manuel tells Hugo that Doris wanted his help the night before but he couldn't wake him up. She found her bus. It was strange but Carcamón brought his SUV,
that he had loaned to Doris back though . . .
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Eva tells Franco to go talk to Lucía. She makes it clear that, from today on, he can count on her.

Lucía tells Rosalía how embarrassed she was and now she knows it is an issue she will have to clarify again and again and put up with everyone's jokes. Rosalía says it doesn't matter what anyone says. Lucía explains that it goes beyond that. They are going to look at her with pity just like they did when Rodrigo left her at the altar. Now her situation is the same or even worse.

The detective and Carlos end up at a hospital, 40 minutes from Zacatillo and run by nuns, but come up empty handed.

Gloria is convinced that Juan David's lover is Doris! She couldn't get Manuel so now she is taking Juan David as a consolation prize.

The detective tells Carlos to go back to Mexico City. The process takes time and patience which Carlos complains he doesn't have. The detective has decide to start showing photos of Carolina and his son to as many people as he can.Somebody must have seen them. Carlos needs to let him do his job.

Gloria tells Angelina that Doris is involved with Juan David. She's a social climber for sure!! Angelina refuses to believe it. Gloria insists that she will prove it.

Julieta tells Franco about the unfortunate encounter she had with Lucía and Rosalía. He can come into the bathroom and see her take a pregnancy (still not a lab test) test if he needs to. He insists he believes her.

After proving she is pregnant, Julieta informs Franco that it is for the best that she goes back to Peru to have her child. He asks why since she said she didn't get along well with her family. She says that things didn't run out here as she expected them to. She thought he would leave Lucía so they could have a family. He doesn't know why she had that idea. He said he would take responsibility for his child but that was it. He wanted to be there for his child but that didn't mean he would be leaving Lucía. Julieta makes it clear that she has nothing to stay for and is leaving today.

Doris was going to leave town tomorrow but now has decided to stay a few days to decide whether to accept the proposal or not. Cárcamo says he will make it worth her while. She is all smiles.

All smiles, Doris tells the good father that the situation with Cárcamo is absurd but really romantic. The good father tells Doris that Cárcamo is a bit crude but a good person. If he says that he loves her it is because he really does. There is no harm in considering the proposal

Surprising how the subplots take the place of the main lot for an episode or two and I do not even care since I am thoroughly entertained.

Tino has changed so much. He seems oblivious to Melina manipulating him .
I loved the kids serenading Tino ( my tablet always changes that name to Vino) and Aide. The reason I keep watching telenovelas is that true love usually wins in the end . In the end, love is all that matters. It's stronger than evil. It stronger than death . Susan

Papas #38 part 1

Tino is playing in the band saying he wants to do something he loves. Then he collapses.

We return to Tino and Aide in love again. Everyone is happy they love. Tino tells Aide it’s not for their kids or their work,but because they love each other.

Melina apologizes to Iker and tells him she has a lot of stress, Aide wants to put her out. Iker says he’s afraid of her(mom)and leaves.

Clara Luz and our now happy couple are talking. Aide says what’s important is that all’s fixed. Clara Luz says what’s important is she helped. Circe is telling Checo she married without love and now she’s divorced. He says he’s has two ears to give her, I assume to listen to her. She thinks he deserves happiness in triplicate. Chofis tells Uri how great it was to be singing again, Uli says and dancing. They decide to be friends again. Uli praises Sarena and Chofis gets quiet. He wonders what’s wrong. Scarlet hugs Emi, he wonders why. His idea was great and she’s happy he’s there. Tino apologizes that Iker took time from him. He’s going to let Emi spend all the time he wants with Bill. He and Aide say Bill and Paulina are his biological parents but they’re his forever parents, he’ll always have a home here. He’s going to spend more time with Bill as he opens his,cafeteria, or something with the cafeteria.

Paulina tells Bill that Tino and Aide are going to divorce and that means Emi will spend more time with him, hopefully forever

Aide agrees with Tino that he sell his shares and do what he wants to do. They professional lives will be separate from their private lives.

Clara Luz is talking to Cheno and Sarena when Nazario and Prisma walk by. Nazario wants to give them some advice, is he talking about Tino and Aide? Cheno gets a call from Charlie and walks off. Chofis comes up to Sarena and wants to start over and give her another chance.

Aide asks Aurelio to come back to work. He says he’s starting a new job. Gisela approaches him wondering why he lied to Aide. She knows he doesn’t have a job. Melina walks buy and pushes Gisela and Aurelio grabs her. I thought they were going to kiss! Melina doesn’t look happy as she looks at the guests.

Iker is telling Hernan he hardly knows his mom anymore. Hernan tries to comfort him but he tells him his mom almost hit him. Hernan wants to talk.

Toño is remembering with his kids when they were singing at the hotel. The kids ask Emi to spend the night so they can be together. The band leader asks Tino to play the drums with the band. Melina pulls him aside to tell him Iker feels really bad about being left out of the party. She will probably move far away.

Checo and Sarena were talking. Not sure what Cheno was saying but Sarena said she was a good therapist. He knows her hands are good.

Hernan was trying to talk to Iker when Melina comes in asking for forgiveness. She mentions him taking her away from the house and Aide and Tino getting together. He’s surprised she knows. She says they’ll go far away but his,father will probably forget him.

Poncho is reading the stuff the kids are saying. He’s watching a guy on the computer, Jeni comes in and he shuts the computer but she is surprised he’s a fan of that guy. She seems to come on to jim, saying, give me what I want. The family arrives and Cheno walks between them and gives her a dirty look.

The kids are thrilled they saved the marriage. They say Iker did a great job of getting his mother away. Bill calls and wonders about the separation, Emi says it was only a day or so. He’s surprised actually starts to call Aide to tell her he is with her, but changes his mind.

Aide is worried about Scarlet, Emi and Íker. Tino says there are more important things, he told the police his dad saw El Chacal and they’ ll patrol at night. He’ll find an apartment close by so Iker will be close. He just wants to kiss the woman he loves

Papas # 39 part 2

Hernan is laughing at Melina’s plan because her plan failed. She needs to get over her obsession with Tino and sell the necklace so they can be on their way. As he leaves she says she hates Aide.

Bill is offering support to Aide, pretending he doesn’t know the divorce is off. He pretends to be happy with the news. And how great the kids did this!

Rudolf is free and happy to see Clara Luz and Rosario. Then Tino and Aide, Sarena and Cheno show up. Rudolf wants to come to work after he recuperates. After everyone leaves he tells Clara Luz he’s surprised azaroso and Prisma didn’t come. It looked like Prisma knew but didn’t tell Nazario.

Gisela comes in the office and just Melina is there. Melina tells her her daughter is making her move. She know about Hernan and she better do something as he could be leaving too. Nazario and Prisma come in. Melina needs to explain about the contract with Urbano.

Clara Luz tells Rudolf that Nazario testified against him. They need to be careful around him.

Paulina wonders what’s up with Bill He starts kissing her.

Tino signs the contract. It will take three days for the money to transfer. Later he asks Aide not to be so hard on Melina. He then tells her he’ll be the drummer in the band. Aide is surprised.

Chofis asks Yeni why she’s still there, she needs to speak to her dad. Yeni rushes off. As Chofis enters the house Poncho gets up quickly. Jodi’s wonders why he’s not in school He says he was sent home but don’t tell his mom. She sees the computer and asks if the kids are bullying him.

Aide doesn’t want Tino playing on the band. He’ll be gone a lot and too busy for her and the kids. He doesn’t think,that will happen. Nazario interrupts them.

Melina tells Tino he has to follow his dream and play in the band. She tells him to answer the call from the band leader.

Poncho tells Chofis what’s going on. She promises not to tell his mom but he should. He needs to find out about sex. She tells him not to be pressured, it’s ok to be a virgin, he needs to do it when he’s ready.

Clara Luz brings the kids home to a surprise, Rudolf. They ask about his,bruises and he shows the, how he defended himself. Natalia calls him papa, she missed him and is hugging him. Clara Luz calls him a superhero. He asks Pipe if he wants a hug too and Pipe starts screaming at him that he’s bad, Gibron, horrible. No sentences, just words.

Tino talks to,
Circe about her going back,to school. She will when she’s ready, he mentions the band and she thinks it’s great, it’s his passion. He says her mom has made him doubt doing that but she says he should.

Clara Luz talks to the doctor. She’s starting to think medicine might be best, Rudolf says no, but Clara Luz is telling g him how much worse he is when Nazario and Prisma walk in. Prisma greets him warmly. Nazario wonders why he’s didn’t tell the, he was coming home. He wanted to surprise them.

Circe is telling her mom music is Tino’s passion and she has to let him play in the band. Aide tells her not to meddle.

Tino is excited to be with the band. He gets a text from Melina wishing him luck.

Clara Luz is telling Rudolf’s the doctor says the medicine is the best option, they can have a normal,nice life. Rudolf worries about side affects and Nazario eavesdrops.

The band is playing, as in the beginning of the show. Tino collapses, Melina runs to him and kisses him. Aide witnesses is and wonders about their reconciliation.

Liz, thank you for the fantastic recap! So many surprises tonight and you captured them all so well.

I'm sorry but Tino is beset by family problems; he has two sons in particular who need his time and attention. Joining the band is not something he should be doing now. His passion is going to have to wait; there are far more pressing things.

I couldn't believe Melina ran and enveloped Tino in a lip lock as he lay on the floor! Tino and Aide may be having the shortest lived reconcilation in TN history.

"I'm glad Chofis realized what is going on with Poncho, I'm sure she will steer him in the right direction whereas Yeni definitely won't!

Bill is offering support to Aide, pretending he doesn’t know the divorce is off. He pretends to be happy with the news. And how great the kids did this!" Hmmm, I don't think Bill is quite the good guy I envisioned.

From what we're seeing, I do think medication is the best course for Pipe.

Gisela and Aurelio definitely had a moment. I also think Circe and Checo will find their way back to each other.

MONTEVERDE #28, Part 1

Oscar and Franco are talking about his nieto when Hugo bursts in saying there is something wrong with Julieta.

Gloria waylays Doris on the street sprouting her usual nonsense, Doris tells her she is ridiculous. Your complaints are not my problem Doris sighs before Gloria drags her back into the fray.

Rosalia takes Julieta’s blood pressure. Is it bad Julieta asks. No is the answer. Rosalia dispenses some medical advice as Manuel returns with water.

Eva talks with Lucia who is standing outside Julieta’s room. She enters and Julieta asks who she is. Franco’s mother is the response. Ahhh, that makes Julieta sit up in bed a bit straighter. Franco rushes in brushing quickly but kindly past a sad Lucia to see how Julieta is. She says she is going back to Peru. Hoodwinked Franco puts his hand on Julieta’s stomach as Lucia stares heartbroken. Eva gives Lucia a sympathetic stare. She later follows Lucia out and is comforting to her as Lucia cries; it’s not going to be easy Eva says, hugging her. You are the woman of Franco’s heart she tells her. Julieta is pregnant with Franco’s baby; it is normal to feel that way (my best guess here). The women hug.

Franco thanks Rosalia, no problem she retorts. And Lucia she asks? He hits his head realizing he has momentarily forgotten the love of his life and runs out of the house. “Mi amor” he says kissing Lucia. Eva says something to Franco I can’t interpret.

Lucia tells him she knows he is preoccupied with Julieta and the baby. She is upset and he asks for her pardon, but he is concerned about the baby. You and Julieta were in a relationship she says, he insists he loves Lucia. She loves him with all of her heart but…He tries to argue with her but is needed back inside. Lucia cries…

Angelina complains to Juan David but he has her smiling in two minutes flat.

Celeste’s phone goes off, Carolina asks how things are going. She tells her Juanita saw Carlos; Celeste looks and sounds suitably alarmed. Then, she asks her about Oscar. Carolina is like an open-mouthed bass as she watches Eva knock on Oscar’s door. He opens it and she steps inside. Carolina frowns and goes to the door and eavesdrops. Eva relates what happened to Oscar. Eva brings him down memory lane a bit regarding Franco and he actually smiles as a hidden Carolina rolls her eyes. Uh oh, Carolina knocks over and breaks a vase. They rush out and see who they think is Celeste almost out of sight.

Well, Julieta’s incident is turning into a daylong event. Franco is back at her bedside. He leaves as she lays down. When he shuts the door she looks as pleased and as contented as a cat who has supped on cream.

The detective and Carlos are on another leg of their journey but going nowhere; I can’t follow where they are or what they say and frankly I don’t care. When they find Carolina, I am sure my interest will perk up. 😊

Oscar catches up with Carolina at the stables! He is unkind and chastises her. She explained she needed to use the restroom. Not sure what else she says but he rubs his beard and looks amused.

Gloria (peeling an apple, she has such a hard life) and her daughter have a conversation. Gloria makes a horrified face when Angelina tells her Cárcamo is Doris’ amante. Angelina tells her mother she wants her respect.

Nestor shows up and Oscar tells him about Julieta. He also complains about Eva in particular.

Hunky Hugo and Juanita have a sweet conversation (and some meaningful touches) at the restaurant.

MONTEVERDE #28, Part 2

Franco knocks on Julieta’s door. She gets herself together and makes herself smile as he enters. He has blankets and asks how she is. The poor dear can’t reach the remote and he moves to give it her. Talk about milking it for all its worth!

Big mouth Nestor delights in telling Eva Oscar is in love with another woman – Celeste. At first she laughs but that is short lived. They are very simpatico Nestor tells her. She looks surprised and confused.

Carolina complains to Juanita about Eva. Juanita allows it is a difficult situation. She hands Juanita a picture which I’m sure has some significance.

Juan David sneaks down the stairs. Trinidad is hot on his heels but Eva arrives and waylays her.

Uh oh, Eva knocks on Carolina’s door. Eva gets straight to it, she asks Carolina about her feelings for Oscar. Carolina denies it. Eva makes it crystal clear she wants to get back with Oscar and is not going to let anyone get in her way! With that she departs leaving a stunned Carolina.

Juanita returns and encourages Carolina…

Lucia and Rosalia talk, Rosalia (who speaks at the speed of light) says something like Julieta is playing the victim.

Juan David has prepared a romantic setting with lit candles in a barn as Angelina arrives. She is delighted until he mentions Froilán. He then laughs and says he doesn’t exist. Their romantic tryst begins.

Cárcamo, bearing flowers, arrives to talk with Doris as all the women hoot and holler, running to the windows to spy on them. She is the woman of his dreams; he is in love with her. His earnestness is touching. He has a solution for her doubts and hesitation. He takes and dips her, bestowing a huge and loving kiss on her. She leaves as the delighted women watch. Doris glows as she returns to the house.

Carolina is in her car. As she reaches her destination, she takes off her habit and smooths out her hair. She looks at herself in the mirror and takes a deep breath. She walks up to Oscar’s door and knocks. He opens it and she says buenos noches. Come in he says, thunderstruck. She enters the living room saying she has to tell him something important. After some hemming and hawing, she tells him she loves him with all her heart. He steps forward and kisses her. We next see him laying her down on his bed as their passion continues. Are you sure he asks? “Si” she says. More kisses ensue as she puts her hands tenderly on his face.

I guess Carolina thought she better confess before a determined Eva successfully moved in on Oscar!

The dialogue was especially fast and furious tonight, Rosalia in particular. I tried to do the best I could but was struggling with what was being said as the next scene was already in progress.
