Episode 112 #1 of 5
Elif and Omer walk out of the Mavi Café, the blue and white one where they have met before. They left Elvan and Nedret planning the wedding that will be very soon. Elmer laugh at leaving the two, but they agree they will come up with something because they both love them.
Elif: Are we really getting married?
Omer: It looks like it.
They continue small talk, walking arm in arm, very happy. Again, the mutual chemistry is very apparent.
Elif gets a call that her sister Nilufer is in the hospital. She listens to the message with growing concern. They go to the hospital immediately. Fatih also arrives and goes to her room. He hears her in his head, talking about making dinner. Fatih is muy impactado at seeing her. Elif and Omer arrive right behind Fatih.
We see Svetlana comforting Huso. He must have gone there after Elvan kicked him out. She is giving him lots of TLC. He has lots of wounds and his hand is bandaged.
Nilufer tells Fatih she hurt her neck and ankle. She is bandaged up and has a neck brace. When Elif gets there, Fatih asks how she found out about Nilufer. Nilufer says that she asked them to let her know. Omer says he spoke with the police, and it was a miracle she survived the accident. Nilufer says her leg and neck are injured and it could have been much worse.
Omer arrives and said he talked to the police and saw the photos of the accident. It was a miracle she survivied; she was lucky the air bag inflated. He asks how it happened. Her car is brand new, so it’s unlikely to have been a problem with the car. He asks if there was ice on the road. Elif tells Nilufer she drives well and never takes chances. Nilufer says she doesn’t understand it either. She exited to go home. As she approached the first turn, she pushed the brake but the car didn’t slow down. As it accelerated, she kept trying to apply the brake. The car kept going and she couldn’t get control of the car.
Omer signals to Fatih to meet him in the hall. Fatih asks what his brother-in-law wants to know.
Omer asks Fatih if he honestly believes this was an accident.
Fatih seems surprised by the question and says she told them everything. Didn’t they hear?
Omer: A brand-new car but the brakes suddenly don’t work?
Fatih tells him to say whatever he is trying to say.
Omer: What I’m trying to say is that maybe someone tried to kill Nilufer.
Fatih: You’re being ridiculous. Who would want to kill Nilufer? Huh?
Omer: How about Tayyar Dundar?
Fatih: Listen to the things you say, Omer. What do you know about my father and my wife?
He wants to know what his father has to do with this. Omer says he knows how dirty Tayyar is. Fatih asks what he means by that but then tells him to just leave. Omer tells Fatih he just wants him to see reality. He needs to open his eyes. Omer tells him whatever he is thinking, not to include Elif in it. Fatih tells him he can’t catch Tayyar Dundar this way. They go back in the room and Fatih tells them they should leave, it’s best when visiting a patient to make it brief. Omer tells Elif they will leave and let Nilufer get some rest.
Omer and Fatih continue to argue in the hall. Elif is bidding goodbye to Nilufer and tells her to call if something happens. Nilufer asks her not to tell Asli or Nedret and Elif agrees.
Omer tells Nilufer to get well soon, both of them. He and Fatih are still staring at one another.
After Elmer leave, Nilufer wants to know what happened. What happened to him, she asks, why did Fatih tell them to leave. Fatih tells her that Omer was speaking nonsense.

Episode 112 #2 of 5
Fatih says it’s because of Omer’s family. Omer thinks Tayyar tried to kill Nilufer. Fatih says that is the crazy man talking. Omer should be thankful he asked him to leave or he would have punched him. Nilufer then tells Fatih that Omer might be right. He asks Nilufer how that is possible. Omer is on his way out but hears her tell that Mert told her that his father was doubtful about Nilufer. Fatih wants to know what Mert has to do with this. He also asks why his father would suspect her. [Uh oh, here it comes!]
Nilufer: I married you to gain access to Tayyar’s house to find the CD Fatih took from Pinar.
After some more discussion, Fatih is impactado. He can’t believe she married him for that reason. She tells him she was going to take the CD and get out his life. She found it. Fatih starts to yell, telling her to be quiet, he doesn’t want to hear any more. Nilufer tells him she couldn’t leave him. She thought she was over him and couldn’t fall in love with him again, but she was wrong.
Nilufer: I couldn’t drag you out of my soul, Fatih. I was still in love with you and am still in love with you now.
Fatih: You did it again, beautiful. You cheated me, stabbed me.
Nilufer: Fatih! Don’t say that, I beg you, please.
Fatih: I don’t care about the CD. If I had to make a choice between you and the man that I have called father for about ten years, I would have chosen you, Nilufer. But then, what did you do my girl? You sold me out again. So, you married me for a different reason, didn’t you? It was all a game to you, wasn’t it? What were you thinking on my happiest day? What do you have to say for yourself, Nilufer? Anything at all? It’s because of my stupidity. I was so blinded by the love I felt for you. I was such a fool.
Nilufer: Fatih.
Fatih: Shut up. Don’t try to explain yourself to me. I know you, Nilufer. We’re going to talk about this later. Unfortunately, I have things to do.
At the airport. Arda and Pelin are in disguise! Arda looks distinguished with in a suit with glasses and Pelin is a foxy blonde! There are apparently other police stationed around the area as well. We see Omer outside going into the command center van. The Sergeant (I’ll call him Sarge) inside asks him why he is last to arrive when he was the one who called them in. Sarge reminds me of Sami a bit, gray, seasoned and a little gruff, especially with people who are late. Sarge says his team and Omer’s are working together now, and no one except the director of the department knows about the op. Omer tells him he’s late because of something personal, but that doesn’t matter to Sarge. Omer asks him again to go easy on Hatice, since she is a relative, but Sarge won’t do it yet. He says she needs to carry out the fraud first and lead them to the head of this organization so they can be finished with this matter. Sarge says he has been after this gang for a long time and they don’t want any more delays. Omer says that is what he wants, too, but that Hatice’s life matters to him. Sarge promises that she won’t get hurt.
Sarge says: Don’t worry, I know your story. We’re here today, thanks to you. We’ll help that girl. I’ll talk to the judge myself.
The guys monitoring the airport tell them she’s arrived, so they can get started. Sarge notices that Arda is working while injured and is complimentary of Omer’s team. He suggests that Omer and Sarge would make a great new team. Omer smiles at this.
Ali is in his car and looking at his phone while driving. He puts it on speaker to Tayyar. Tayyar answers and tells him there better not be anything wrong. Ali tells him she’s arrived. They discuss strategies. Ali says their girls are very reliable.
Gross! We see Tayyar in his OR, harvesting organs. Tayyar tells him he should give it to Husseyn. Ali tells him Husseyn is resting.

Episode 112 # 3 of 5
Tayyar tells him to let Husseyn rest because he doesn’t feel too good. Ali asks what to do about the girl. Tayyar tells him the girl is none of his concern. She’ll return to London right after the job. Ali asks why. Does she know him? Tayyar tells him not to be stupid. Who would give a million dollars of diamonds to a stranger. Ali asks how much she knows. Tayyar tells him she saw Ali’s photo. She thinks his name is Saydi and that Ali is Tayyar’s man. Ali keeps asking what he’s doing there. Tayyar tells him he has to make do. He’s the most qualified guy Tayyar has. He tells him Husseyn can’t do it nor can Fatih, because his wife just had an accident. So, it’s up to Ali. Tayyar tells him no one will suspect him. Tayyar tells Ali he just needs him to bring him back his deposit, that’s all he needs to do. He hangs up.
We see the airport again from the outside. Ali takes his gun and puts it in the glove compartment. He buttons up his jacket and enters. We see Hatice walking with a turquoise briefcase. She calls a number and asks if there are any changes. The voice tells her to follow the plan and someone will come to meet her. He tells her to go to the exit slowly. She will give him the luggage. She says she has a picture already of who is meeting her. He tells her not to mess up, please. She smiles and loudly tells her Dad she’ll be home soon, this playacting for the cops who are watching her. Then she gets a call from Fatma telling her she just wants to hear her voice. She tells her mother she is working and that she has exams tomorrow. Fatma tells her to work hard and to call her after the exam. Hatice agrees. Hatice sighs and then proceeds. Omer recognizes her and tells his guys that she’s walking to the exit and for them to close in but not to let her see them. He thinks it’s possible she would recognize them. We see Ali getting through the security check line. He double checks Hatice’s picture and starts looking around for her. He takes up a place beside a column. Arda and Pelin are looking in his direction. Omer prepares to go in, if Sarge will let him. He agrees and Omer gets out of the van.
We see Fatih holding a man on the ground at gunpoint while Nilufer is watching from a vehicle.
Fatih (Metin): Speak to me. Who tried to kill my wife?
The man: Metin, please don’t. I don’t know anything. I’ve done nothing wrong.
Fatih: Speak or I’ll shut you up eternally. Tell me who tampered with her brakes.
The man: It’s Fikri. Fatih asks where is this Fikri?
The man tells him he couldn’t finish the job, so Mr. Tayyar killed him.
[Ah ha, now we know whose organs are being harvested!]
Fatih is impactado: My father gave the order?
The man nods.
Fatih is extremely impactado and is looking all over as he ponders this news.
Back at the airport, we see Omer going through the security line. Ali is still standing by his column. Omer spots Hatice. So does Ali. Ali walks toward her to take the briefcase. Omer, Arda, and Pelin all see him. Ali asks Hatice why she is looking around. He tells her he is there. He grabs the briefcase. Omer tells Arda to get Hatice. Omer hollers out: “Ali!” and runs after him. Ali tries to run away.
Fatih and Nilufer drive up to a building. Fatih apologizes to her that he couldn’t check her out of the hospital. He reminds her about her meds. He tells her not to get up unless she has to. He tells her that his henchie, Serhan (I think), is trustworthy. She will go with him. Fatih tells her Serhan will take her somewhere safe. She asks what Fatih is going to be doing. He tells her he is going to do something he should have done a long time ago.
Fatih: I can’t postpone it anymore. Then I guess we’ll see. Just trust me on this.
Nilufer: Fatih, we’re through, right? (She is crying) You’re breaking up with me? You’re never forgiving me?

Fatih: Listen, I only asked for one thing. One thing I never had: trust. I guess it was too much.
Nilufer: You’re right. I know I disappointed you. I always loved you, Fatih, and I always will. Don’t forget that, OK?
He nods at her and they hug. Then he appears to relent: I’ll pick you up in a couple of hours.
Nilufer smiles: I love you.
Fatih tells her to go. She asks why he is sending her away if he’s just going to pick her up. He tells her she will be safe there. Serhan takes her gently, leading her to his vehicle. Fatih is watching them. She turns to smile at him.
At the airport, Ali runs out of the door with the briefcase with Omer catching up to him.
Omer: Hey Ali, where are you running off to?
The briefcase falls open, contents spilling out.
Ali begs Omer to give him a break.
Omer tells him he got lucky for the first time in his life, Ali came to him all on his own.
Omer: Just to make it official, would you like me to read you’re your rights?
Omer looks down at the diamonds in the open briefcase.
At Svetlana’s, Huso, who is in bad shape, is having a nightmare. He opens his eyes and she goes over to him. She tells him he is fine, just had a bad dream. He asks if anyone called. She tells him the phone rang non-stop. He asks if Omer called, and she said no. She tells him his cousin (not a real cousin) did a couple of times. He calls again, and she passes the phone to Huso. He asks for some water.
He answers, and Fatih tells him to get well soon.
Huso thanks him and then asks who he is.
Fatih: Don’t you recognize my voice? Fatih, Tayyar’s son.
Huso: Did he tell you to call? Is he sending papers with you?
Fatih: Yes, I’ll send you the address now and you can take whatever you want when you come.
After hanging up, Huso is thinking about the call. He might have a hunch that it’s not on the level.
At the police station, Sarge and Omer lead the group, with Ali in cuffs, followed by Hatice, Pelin and Arda. Pelin has removed her wig and Arda his glasses.
As they enter, Sarge tells everyone to cancel their vacation because, people, we have a big guest.
He tells Ali where the interrogation room is, but he then says Ali knows all of that. Omer is willing to start with interrogation if Sarge wants to. He tells Omer it’s his right to do the interrogation.
Omer to Ali: We haven’t talked for a long time. We’ll have a nice long talk now.
Tayyar is done with his harvesting.
Tayyar: Today was a bad day, but we did something good for humanity.
The doctor nods but probably would rather not be doing this stuff for Tayyar.
A henchie comes in: Mr. Tayyar, bad news.
Tayyar: What’s happened now?
Henchie: There was a plan in process and the cops caught everyone and locked them up, Ali and the courier, too.
Tayyar’s face is wonderful to behold: Muy, muy, muy impactado.
Henchie: Your diamonds are with the cops now.
Tayyar loses his temper and yells, “Can’t you do anything right?” and shoots him.
Then Tayyer looks very shocked at what he just did. He tears off his scrubs.

Episode 112 #5 of 5
We can see Omer interrogating Ali. Arda is with them, while Pelin is watching over the remote.
Omer: Well, Chief Ali, looks like this is the end. Let me guess, I guess you’re hoping Tayyar Dundar will get you out of here, right?
Ali remains silent. Omer tells him they suspected him for a long time. They had trackers that led them to him. We brought it to an end, and you made things easier. Now, do one last good thing for your profession and help us catch Tayyar Dundar.
Ali smiles at him slyly.
Omer: Ali, talk man. You’ve got a large debt to pay to your badge. Of course, if you have a conscience. Look, your silence is worth nothing. Husseyn admits everything. That you abused your position for crime and everything is connected to you. He even said that you are Fatih and Tayyar Dundar’s main man.
Omer goes over to Ali and grabs his shoulder: Come on, man. How strong is your connection to Tayyar? You can be quiet as long as you want! But you can be sure we’ll make you talk eventually. You’re in my hands now.
Omer gets a call and leaves the room to take it, leaving Arda with Ali.
Omer’s caller is Fatih, who is calling from a sand quarry and buildings. Fatih tells him they need to talk urgently. Omer says only if it’s about Tayyar. Fatih asks what if it’s about Omer’s brother. Fatih tells him the CD that he got was fake. Tayyar realized Nilufer was after the CD and swapped it for the fake one. Fatih tells him he has a copy of the real one. He tells him he took it for himself from Pinar. Fatih asks Omer what he thinks of his work. Omer tells Fatih he will come to him right away, and Fatih tells him where he is.
At the Denizer mansion, Nedret is sitting on the sofa and Filiz tells her she has gotten better since she got home. Filiz says the wedding is no doubt stressing Nedret, especially as she didn’t get a straight answer from Ipek. Nedret assures her the wedding will not happen. Nedret says if Ipek didn’t hope to reconcile with Omer, she would have gone home to Bursa. Because she is still in Istanbul, she has hope in her heart.
Also at the mansion, Elif is looking out the window looking very sad. Asli comes in and joins her. Asli admits she was a little mad at Elif, but that it’s impossible to stay mad at her. Asli says she is sad the wedding is so soon because she had thought of many fun things to do for the wedding, but now she won’t be able to. They hug and Elif tells her she is glad she is there. The doorbell rings. It’s Nilufer, all bandaged and bruised and wearing a neck brace. The sisters are very concerned. Nilufer asks if she can come in as she has nowhere else to go.
Back at the quarry, Fatih is looking thoughtful. Huso walks in to join him. Huso asks if he printed his documents, that he doesn’t have much time. Fatih tells him he seems in a hurry and offers him tea. Huso rudely declines. He asks what their plan is. Omer drives up and goes toward the entrance and hears Fatih and Huso talking. Ome stops and listens silently.
Huso is very grumpy wanting to know why he’s there. Fatih, seeing that Omer is listening, tells him he knows why his father Tayyar threatened Huso. He tells Huso he now works for Fatih. Huso exclaims mockingly that Fatih is playing mafia with him now. Fatih tells him not to underestimate him. He tells him he has a better hand now because he has the copy of that CD recording showing Huso was where the crime was committed. Fatih plays a bit where Huso tells that Sibel is his brother’s fiancé. Huso is upset that Fatih has this and wants to know why he has it. Fatih tells him Tayyar is getting old and that Huso trusts him more than he deserves. He goes on to ask if Omer heard the recording, what would he think. He tells him he already knows he is corrupt. But what he doesn’t know is about all the murders. Fatih says if he is honest, I’d have no need of this recording to prove you a murderer.
Fatih: You killed Bahar right in front of me. You are some wild man, detective. The girl didn’t know anything. Why did you kill her?
Babachita
Episode 5.5 of 5 (I miscalculated my pages, so added one!)
Huso: You think I wanted to do this? All this happened because of your crazy father. Bahar shouldn’t have been there, shouldn’t have seen it. She could have told Omer. Omer would have learned that I work with criminals like you. I killed Sibel also (Omer is highly impactado at hearing this) just because of this. Did I want to do this? I was just going to kill Ahmed Denizer. It was just a job. How could I know his daughter was going to be Omer’s girlfriend. How could I know that? I didn’t know Sibel was the courier. If I had, would I have let her go there? If I knew, I would have changed my whole life! (Huso is yelling this in frustration.) I didn’t want to kill Bahar, nor Ahmed Denizer, nor Sibel. I killed them so Omer wouldn’t find out. That I was working with you. I became a murderer just so Omer wouldn’t find out.
Fatih listens to this and looks over where Omer is hearing this.
End of Episode 112
Babachita
Thanks, Babachita!
What an impactful episode! Ali goes down and Omer finds out Huso is the killer!!! Nilu lives - at least for now! It's odd that the dude 'taking care' of the car said no one would suspect a thing but everyone went straight to suspicion. No one thought for a second it could be a mechanical issue.
And Fatih finds out about Nilu AND that Tayyar tried to kill her!!! What will he do next? Is someone finally going to kill Tayyar??? I guess that would be anticlimactic.... but damn that man has too many lives! He was stabbed by Huso and lived, had horrible kidney disease and stole one from his son and lived... while somehow maintaining his son's loyalty (at least for now). Actually, now that I think about it, no one should kill him. Tayyar should die in some freak blink and you miss it accident that leaves you thinking he survived all that crap and this is how he dies??
Thank you, Babachita. Great recap of a bombshell episode. The dominoes are falling, but we still have 52 episodes until the end! One minute Omer scores a victory and in the next, his world is destroyed. Tayyar deserves the biggest anvil ever. Nothing can really compensate for all the evil he has done.
I’ll have #113 up later today. It's going to be a very emotional ep.
#113 part 1
We left off with lurking Omer hearing it directly from Huseyin’s mouth—he killed Bahar, Ahmet, and Sibel. And now he’s about to kill Fatih to keep it a secret.
Omer jumps out from his hiding place and screams—Abi! Huso turns to see Omer. Omer? When did you get here? What did you hear? A horrified Omer approaches and decks his brother. Fatih smugly stands by with folded arms.
Nilufer enters the house. She’s immediately confronted by Asli. This isn’t your house anymore, and we are not your sisters. You made your choice when you married that murderer. It’s too late. Elif tells Asli to hold up. Don’t be cruel without knowing what happened. Asli doesn’t back down. She deserves worse, she replies. She does what she wants, and when she needs us, it’s “sister, help me”. I’m fed up with this attitude.
Once again Elif tries to calm Asli. Let’s go inside and talk calmly. Look at her (Nilu). Have some compassion. This is my home too, Asli replies, I’m tired of you two doing things behind my back. Okay, Elif answers, but let’s go inside. We will explain everything.
Fatih leaves the brothers to hash it out. Omer slugs Huso and knocks him down again. He shouts—who are you?! Who are you!? How could you do this to me?! How could you do this to our family?! Huso answers weakly, I never wanted this to happen. Omer picks him up off the ground and shakes him. He screams at his bro—don’t you have a heart? Are you carrying stones there? How could you look people in the eye and kill them? How could you do this to me, to Fatma, to Hatice? Our family? We were dying from the pain. Omer slugs Huso again.
Huso whimpers, I didn’t know she would be there. Flashback. Tayyar hands Huso a gun and says there’s a man who’s trying to trick me and stole my diamonds. Ahmet Denizer said they were stolen in Rome, but he’s lying. Now you’re going to get rid of him and bring me the diamonds. Huseyin is stunned but takes the gun. End flash.
Huso continues, he wasn’t an innocent man. You don’t need blood on your hands to be a murderer. He got diamonds from trafficked organs. He was a mobster. Omer grabs Huso by the coat. And what was her (Sibel’s) sin? Why did you kill her? Flashback to Sibel begging Huso for her life and him killing her.
Omer says, you were looking her in the eyes. You could have let her live. But you decided to shoot her. Do you know what you did in that moment? You rewrote my fate. Huso cries, I thought about letting her go, but I was afraid. I didn’t tell you anything but at some point, I was going to. Omer, I’m so sorry. May God curse me. If I could, I would go back in time, I wouldn’t have shot her. Believe me, I swear on my children [ugh, not again!] I wouldn’t pull that trigger.
My life became a living hell, Omer says, you looked me in the eyes and while I suffered in pain, you wiped my tears, held my hand. Those tears of yours burned my heart, Huso replies, but look, then Elif came along. You smiled again and you loved her even more than Sibel. Elif became your breath. I beg you, don’t let me be the killer of your love again. Give me one more chance, let me go.
Omer shoves Huso. You’re going to pay for what you did! Huso shouts back, neither Ahmet nor Sibel were innocent people! They were up to their necks in filth! They were guilty! They deserved it! Omer draws his gun at Huso and says, you’re guilty, too. You’re a murderer. You took their lives. You showed no mercy. You killed me! I’ll kill you, too! Do you deserve it?
#113 part 2
Omer puts the gun to Huso’s head. Answer me! Just like you killed your brother… just like you left Elif fatherless… should I do that to my niece and nephew? What do you think? Tell me Huseyin Demir, does Huseyin Demir deserve to live after all the pain he caused? Do you think he should continue breathing?
Huso cries, do you think this is living? You think I’m alive? I’m already dead. I died every day seeing you suffer. Every time I looked at your pain. You are my whole life. Do you think you’re just my brother? If you do, then you’re wrong because you’re like a son to me. Huso puts his hand over Omer’s. Do it, he tells his bro, pull the trigger. Relieve this pain, shoot so that my conscience is clear.
Omer pulls the gun away from Huso’s hands, then places it back on his bro’s head. We won’t know if Omer would have done it because a big black van pulls up to the site. Men empty out and start shooting at Omer and Huso. The bros run for cover behind a truck.
Huso tells Omer, whether they take me out of here, alive or dead, please go. I want you to be safe. I’ll give my life for you. I won’t let anything happen to you, Omer replies. He shoots one of the baddies. Huso pistol whips Omer and he falls. Huso touches Omer’s hair and pats his shoulder—affet beni… affet beni (forgive me). Huso gives himself up to the bad guys.
The Denizer sisters are in the living room. Elif brings Nilu a glass of water. Nilu starts, I don’t know where he is or what he’s doing. He said he was coming to get me, but it was like he was saying goodbye. Elif asks, did say anything else? Nilu replies, all I know is that last night he had a problem with Tayyar. He told me Tayyar would pay for everything he did to me, to our family, and to Omer. He told me he would call Omer, but truthfully, I’m not sure what he did after that. Elif asks, why did he want to call Omer?
Nilu doesn’t know. She tells Elif to call Omer. Maybe they are together now. Maybe Omer can tell us what’s going on. I’m worried about Fatih. Please call him. Elif reaches for her phone. Asli interrupts, are you two crazy? Forget about that criminal. We have to worry about ourselves now. Okay, Nilu is confused now, but you Elif, what are you thinking? Elif walks out of the room.
Tayyar’s men report back. They have Huseyin. Huso wonders how they found him. He asks to talk to Tayyar. Tayyar asks Huso what happened. Your miserable son set me up, Huso replies, he destroyed my life in 5 minutes. How could you allow this? Why didn’t you warn me? Tayyar is shocked. He’s sorry, he didn’t find out in time.
Flashback. Tayyar had just finished the organ harvest. He gets his phone and sees a message from Huso that he’s meeting Fatih at the sand depot and they will exchange documents for the recording. It’s important that Omer doesn’t hear the recording. Tayyar is horrified. He orders his men to find Fatih asap. End flash.
What happened, Tayyar asks, Omer found out everything? Fatih planned it? Yes, Huso replies, a perfect plan. He made me talk. I fell into Omer’s hands. Why did Fatih do something like this? Why did he betray us? Explain this! Because I tried to kill his wife, Tayyar answers. Great, Huso says, you did a great job! I’m finished! Omer won’t stop until he puts me in jail. What will we do? Do you have a plan?
Tayyar says, I’ll get you out of the country, in a couple of hours at the airport. I’ll get you a passport and an exit visa. Huso says that it will be too late. Omer is going to find me. Do it right now. I need to leave asap! Tayyar tells him to calm down. I guarantee you will leave the country. It’s important that when you’re at the place we are taking you to, you don’t leave for any reason. Don’t even stick your nose out
#113 part 3
Tayyar tells Huso to give the docs and the drive to the man in front of him. Do you think I’m an idiot, Huso shouts, those docs are the only thing I have to protect myself. If I hand them over, you’re going to kill me. I’ll give them to you when you get me out. Tayyar warns Huso. Huso tells Tayyar to find Fatih, he must pay for this. If you don’t, I will find him and cut him to pieces and you will never find him.
Fatih is waiting outside Tayyar’s hospital. There’s a man waiting with a van.
Nedret is comforting Nilu. Don’t cry anymore. Asli is disgusted with her sister. Will you stop crying? That psycho isn’t worth it. I’m just telling you the truth.
Elif is upstairs, trying to call Omer. He’s still unconscious at the sand depot. He hears the phone and wakes up. He sees it’s Elif but he doesn’t answer. She sends a text: my love, Nilufer came and told me some things. Where are you? I’m worried. Call me when you get this message, komiser. He puts his phone back in his pocket. Omer looks around the deserted depot. He shouts to the sky—Abi!
Tayyar exits the hospital with a henchie. You have to take Huseyin to the apartment near the airport. He’s a real idiot so don’t let him call anyone. The henchie says they are getting the passport. Tayyar gets in the van and tells the driver he’s going home. We don’t see the driver [Hmm…] Tayyar looks at his tablet and sees the news report that Ali was arrested. According to the Financial Crimes Unit, he was a member of a money laundering network. Now we see the driver is Fatih.
Omer sits in his car trying to process what happened. He gets a call from Arda. Where are you? We are waiting at the station for you. I found him, Omer answers. Arda doesn’t understand. I finally found the killer, Omer replies. Arda asks, are you serious? Tell me who it is. With tears in his eyes, Omer drops the bomb—Huseyin Demir. My brother, Omer says and hangs up. Arda is stunned speechless. He drops his phone. Pelin wonders what happened.
Huseyin is brought to the apartment. He asks when he’s going to the airport. The henchie tells him to get some rest, they’re working on it. Huso is angry. Rest? I’ll make you rest so you never wake up!
Tayyar realizes he’s not on the road to his house. He scolds the driver. Where’s your head? Where are you going? Answer me! Then he becomes alarmed. Where are you going? Fatih stops the van. Tayyar reaches for his gun, but Fatih draws and aims his first. I don’t think that’s a good idea, he tells his dad, you’ll drop the gun and get out.
They get out of the van. Tayyar warns, be careful because if something happens to me, you’ll regret it. I have nothing to regret, Fatih says, the one who will regret it is you. Fatih pistol whips Tayyar and he goes down. What did you think? You dared to hurt Nilufer. Tayyar explains, I just wanted to protect you from that woman. She wanted to betray you. Because if someone betrays me, they are betraying you. Fatih replies, the only traitor I know is in front of me now.
Fatih’s gun is pointed at Tayyar’s head. I wanted to give you a second chance, Tayyar Dundar. I wanted to find out if it was worth it and the answer is clear. I never want to see you again, not even at the gates of hell. What are you going to do, son, Tayyar asks. Fatih replies, it turns out this will be written in your destiny, to be killed by your own son.
#113 part 4
Tayyar tries to reason. I’m your father, is it worth it for a woman? Fatih shouts back, it’s worth everything for her. Don’t be ridiculous, Tayyar replies, that girl will soon get rid of you. I’m the one who will stay with you. Fatih says he tried to forget what Tayyar did to his mother. I extinguished the hatred inside me, he says, so I could have a father. The only thing I wanted was for you to be my father, but you acted like the dog you are. I would have liked you to surprise me for once.
Drop the gun, Tayyar asks, we must take care of each other. If Nilufer had given the recording to Omer, we would have ended our days in jail. I did it for our family. While you dreamed of her, I was protecting you. I wanted to punish her, not you.
Fatih is incredulous. You wanted to protect me by taking her away from me? You won’t be able to take anything that belongs to me. You already have something entrusted to me, my kidney. I changed my mind, I’m taking it back. Fatih shoots and Tayyar falls over. Fatih shoots a second and a third time. Tayyar groans. Fatih tells him, I’ll come when it’s time to recite Al-Fatiha for the rest of my entrusted things. Tayyar calls out for Fatih. A car comes to pick Fatih up.
Elif has put Nilu to bed. Filiz comes to get her. Nedret wants to speak with you. Elif comes downstairs. Asli is there too. Nedret hands Elif a guest list. She adds, I can’t let you get married in that place. It’s better to have the wedding here. We’ll organize something on the first floor. After you get married, we’ll have a dinner party.
Elif says they already decided on the place, and the idea of a dinner party…. Nedret says, do me a favor, don’t interfere [who’s wedding is this?] This is appropriate. Don’t worry, it’ll be something simple. If it were up to me and we had time, we’d have a fun wedding with traditional music and dancing.
Asli pokes fun, officer Colombo definitely loves dancing the Halay, right? Elif says, if you want to know, Omer and I prefer to keep everything as simple as possible. Doing it here isn’t necessary. But if you want it, I’ll give in. Asli says she can’t believe her little sister is getting married in two days. I don’t like it but if you’re happy, it’s okay.
I can’t believe it either, Elif replies, we’re getting married in two days. She says right now, I wish I knew where Omer went. Nedret reminds her she’s marrying a police officer. She’ll have to get used to it. Asli wishes their parents were here to see this. Elif says, me too, but we have Auntie. I want you to know how important it’s been for me to have you these days. Thank you, Auntie. Without you we’d feel alone.
The doorbell rings and Elif jumps up to answer. She thinks it might be Omer. It’s Fatih. She opens the door and he walks right in. She comments, what’s this about? He snarks, look how my SIL is worried about me. I’m so touched. Actually, I’d like to sit and chat for a while, but I don’t have time. Please call my wife, we need to go.
Nedret shouts, look at me Fatih Efendi, is this a hotel?! Do you think you can just drop off the girl whenever you feel like it and then take her away when you want? I won’t allow it. Nilufer comes down the stairs and says, don’t argue over me. Elif stands in her sister’s way. Fatih says to Elif, I see you’re still angry with me. Omer didn’t tell you?
#113 part 5
Elif asks, what would Omer tell me? Was Omer with you? Ah, brother-in-law surprised me again, Fatih says, I thought he’d want to share his joy. Elif wants an explanation. What joy? What do you mean? Fatih replies, if I start explaining, it will unravel like a sock. Elif is ticked, stop playing games. Tell me what happened! He says, it’s better if I tell you how my help was received. She scoffs, you helped Omer? I don’t believe it.
The convo is cut short by police officers who come to the door to arrest Fatih. Nilu cries out, leave him alone. The cop says, you shot Tayyar Dundar, we’re going to the station. Fatih asks, how did you find me? The cops says he was caught on cameras. Nilu cries this was her fault. Fatih tells her that dog deserved it. He tells Elif to look after his wife. Nilu sobs.
Omer arrives at Tayyar’s hospital. He flashes his badge and asks to see Tayyar. The receptionist tells him that Tayyar has been shot and is in critical condition. He’s in surgery now. Omer asks, where is the OR, I want to see for myself.
Omer heads to the OR. Doctors come out and Omer shows his badge. He says he’s there for Tayyar. How is he? The doc explains, he was hit with 3 bullets. We removed them but unfortunately, one perforated his kidney. We were forced to remove it. He’s in critical condition.
Omer needs to see if Tayyar is really in the OR or if this is a plan to escape. He bullies his way into the area over the doc’s objections. He finds Tayyar on the OR table. I told you, the doc says, now get out of here! You are endangering the lives of patients.
Elif and Nilu arrive at the station. Pelin spots them. Elif tells her she’s called Omer and sent texts but he hasn’t answered. She’s worried. Pelin looks nervous. She says, he’ll call you, I’m sure. Excuse me, but I have to go to an interrogation. She hurries off. Maybe Elif senses something is up. Nilu is worried for Fatih and wants to find him.
Arda meets up with Omer outside the hospital. Omer tells him that Fatih shot Tayyar. Arda asks why. Tayyar wanted to kill Nilufer, Omer replies, Fatih wanted revenge. First, he brought Huseyin down, then he left and shot Tayyar. He put his signature on the night. Arda asks about Tayyar. Is he dead? No, he’s alive but in critical condition, Omer says. We need to keep watch here. Let us know when Tayyar regains consciousness.
Omer sighs and asks, is there any news on Huseyin Demir? Arda says the car that arrived at the sand depot is still there. Omer is ready to go back there. Arda asks, how are you? Omer looks pained. What do you think? Arda reaches out, abi, sometimes life is hard, but it will pass. Omer answers, I won’t be okay. I can’t be the same old Omer because today my brother died. Omer gets in his car.
And we are out.
Well I wrote a comment but it's not showing up. This is my second attempt to see if this comment will post.
Thanks Babachita and Darcy. I'm now hoping that somehow Fatih is spared from the repercussions of his misspent few years under his father's thumb. He will likely be the catalyst that finally destroys Tayyer. Tayyer trying to kill Nilu finally opened his eyes. Your recaps help me a lot as the CC's are iffy. I keep forgetting I can get the transcript on my tablet, but they have the same incorrect words.
Thanks, Dondi. Excellent as always!
Fatih did have a banner night, didn't he? Somehow, I still doubt the cockroach Tayyar will die but it'd be poetic justice if he was taken out by his kidney (or lack thereof) after all. I have some sympathy for Fatih, but I can't hope for him to escape justice. He's a murderer and I don't see any indication he's repentant. Heck, just a few episodes he wanted to go back to work... he might truly love Nilu but that doesn't change who he is. I can't believe he tried to forget that Tayyar cut his mom's tongue out so he could have a dad. That is one twisted psyche for sure.
Asli has no compassion for Nilu; it was shocking to see her be so cold to her sister while Nilu is standing there in a neck brace!! Eek! And then a little while later Nedret is just discussing wedding plans like Nilu didn't just come into the house all bruised and hurt, Omer isn't MIA, Fatih isn't doing who knows what, let's discuss venues!!! I get that it's 2 days away, but it felt very odd.
I'm no criminal mastermind but trying to get out of the country - via the airport, sounds like an incredibly stupid idea. Isn't that the first place they would stake out?
Nilu and Elif are sitting in the lobby of the police station waiting when Pelin walks in. Nilu rushes to her and asks if she’ll be able to see Fatih but Pelo tells her it’s impossible now. They are going to interrogate him and then he has to go to court. Nilu wants to know what will happen and Pelo tells her there are both witnesses and camera recordings that prove Fatih shot Tayyar, he’s going to end up in prison for now while the case is investigated. Nilu is very emotional and says she needs a moment alone.
A clearly nervous Pelo tries to walk away but Elif calls out to her. Elif has been calling and calling Omer but he’s not answering. Elif is very worried. And tonight, before he got arrested Fatih was saying some stuff… like he somehow helped Omer? That makes no sense, why would he do that? Did he talk about it in his interrogation? Does Pelo know anything. Pelo shakes her head and says she’s sure Omer will tell Elif everything as soon as he can, but for now, Pelo has to go. Elif and Nilu should go home; there’s nothing they can do here. Elif watches her walk away knowing that Pelo isn’t saying something.
Arda and Omer arrive at a parking garage and Arda says Pelo just sent a message. Omer wants to know if she found anything but Arda says it’s about Elif. She’s at the station and she’s very worried. Omer makes no moves and Arda says, aren’t you going to call her? You’re not thinking of leaving her, are you? Omer says he’s not ready to call. He still hasn’t processed everything that happened, he doesn’t know what to say yet. Arda says if they had the rest of their lives they wouldn’t be able to process this. He can’t believe what Huso did, he would have caused them less pain if he was dead. Omer says when he catches Huso and puts handcuffs on him, he will tell Elif everything. Arda and Omer focus on the task at hand and they find the van that Huso had been in, they search and find his phone but it’s been wiped of messages. They do see who the last caller was and I think it was Lana – it didn’t sound like her name but the rest of their comments about how Huso must not have gone home to her make it sound like her. Omer says it’s too obvious, first place they’d look. Speaking of obvious, they next find Huso’s wallet with his ID in tack and realize Huso is going to try to flea the country with a fake ID! Arda is going to call Pelo to have someone watch all the airports and he hopes it’s too late. They conclude that having Tayyar unconscious probably slowed the men down, they couldn’t talk to or receive orders from their boss. Arda and Omer take off.
Huso is looking paranoid and crazy as hell hiding out in the airport apartment. The henchie is on the phone getting news about Tayyar. Huso hears that they will have to keep waiting and he’s not happy, he doesn’t have time to wait! The henchie tells him that Tayyar has been shot. Sadly, he’s not dead, but it’s very serious. Despite the gravity, however, the surgery was a success and he WILL wake up. They have to wait! He assures crazy eyes Huso that no one can find him there so he just needs to sit tight. He leaves and Huso gives the creepiest look to the mirror before taking a cup and smashing it!
Arda and Omer return to the station and they too find Pelin. They ask what’s going on and Pelo tells them that Ali is heading to the prosecutor. He’s in the interrogation room now. Omer thinks that’s perfect, he’ll go talk to him. He stalks off and Pelo and Arda call after him but he doesn’t stop. Pelo asks Arda how Omer is doing and she tears up as he explains that Omer is like someone who gets shot while running — you don’t feel it as long as you keep running. You don’t even feel the bullet if you don’t stop. But once you stop running, that’s when the pain begins. You feel the wound, it burns, you grit your teeth because you can’t stand the pain. Omer is still running. He runs to forget the pain his brother caused him. He hasn’t realized he’s been wounded.
Omer is playing bad cop, aggressive cop with Ali! Ali is the bad cop and Omer is super aggressive demanding he tell him where his brother is! He shakes him, pushes him up against the wall, you know the whole nine. Ali says nothing until Omer is about to walk out of the room when Ali finally speaks. He says: ‘Omer, it’s hard to get out once you’re inside. Hussein suffered a lot. You should have left the first time I told you. You should have let it go — you would have had a calmer life. Look, your family is destroyed. Is justice more important than your family?” Omer is unimpressed and keeps demanding Ali tell him where Huso it.
Huso is watching the news and he there isn’t a single word about the businessman Tayyar Dundar getting shot. Huso thinks the whole thing is a ruse and Tayyar’s men are keeping him locked up for another reason. Henchie looks like he knows Huso is several crayons short of a full box but he remains calm and assures him there is no trick. Tayyar was shot and is fighting for his life. They are staying put and following orders. The press must know about the shooting but they are keeping it quiet for some reason. Huso isn’t convinced and he says he’s not stupid and if the henchies are trying to fool him they will be sorry. He’ll kill Tayyar himself! (I’m sorry but when it’s the lucky 147th time you’ve threatened that and the man is still breathing, it’s just not scary). Huso tells the henchie to leave the room and dude is like, my pleasure! He clearly wanted to escape.
Elif paces her bedroom with her phone in her hand.
Omer continues to ignore Elif’s calls and sits on a bench remembering when Huso gave him something sweet at a party not too long ago – this party was in a previous episode but don’t remember exactly what the occasion was, Hattice was there…
March 11, 2015.
Omer, Arda and Pelin arrive at Elvan’s house. They all stare sadly for a minute before Omer declares, come on, let’s do this.
Elif is determined to leave the house and go see Omer. Nedret tries to stop her. It’s the day before the wedding. They have so much to do, and they have to go to the new house – the furniture arrives today. Elif doesn’t care, she needs to see Omer. Nedret is frustrated.
Omer and Co are searching Elvan’s house and he needs to know where Huso’s financial papers are. Melike tells him but Fatma, Elvan and Melike all want to know what is going on and Omer is saying nothing. Elvan asks question after question about Huso’s whereabouts and what’s happening. Omer pauses but doesn’t respond. Demet asks if something happened to her dad and Omer tells her he doesn’t think anything has happened to his health. Melike asks Demet to go make tea and take Hasen with her. Demet doesn’t want to go since they are talking about her dad but Melike insists and she goes, but Hasan only leaves the room and keeps listening outside the door. Melike then tells Omer to stop hiding the truth, they already know about Svetlana, what could be worse. Elvan rejoins saying Huso and Omer are both her sons and she can see the burden Omer is carrying, what happened? They are family, they should carry the burden together. Omer finally breaks down and admits that Huso has been involved in criminal activity but he gives no details. Elvan and Melike want to know more but he tells them that they will talk later, he needs time. He tells them to let him know if he contacts them. He needs to find him, for his own protection. Hasan enters the room again and asks if Tio is going to send dad to prison! Omer looks pained but says nothing and Pelo pops in breaking the tension. She lets the ladies know they have to take the computers from the house, Melike nods.
The henchies receive new orders but we don’t hear the details and Huso doesn’t either, but he hears enough to know the plan has changed. Henchie #2 asks what they are going to do with the crazy guy and he pegged him right, Huso is PARANOID! He grabs a pen and hides it behind his back, but when Henchie #1 comes to talk to him and just says the boys are going out to eat and Huso is to stay in the house and talk to no one, he lets the men leave with no aggression. The dude tells him there is still food in the kitchen and he’ll bring more when he returns.
Henchie: Yes, chief, as you order. We’ll let you know when it’s done. We’re leaving — we received new orders.
Our detectives found a whole lot of nothing and they are almost ready to leave. Omer tells Fatma she needs to go to the station with them and she asks why but he doesn’t answer. He walks out the door and Arda tells her they just want to ask about Sibel and Tayyar. She says okay, wait a minute. Omer goes out back and looks in the bird box out there but finds nothing. Melike follows and begs some more for Omer to tell her what’s going on but he doesn’t. He looks like he might but Pelin shows up and says they are ready to go. Omer asks again if they found anything but they didn’t. Omer turns around and leaves. They all walk silent past the family as they leave, but Omer stops to talk to Elvan when he sees her sitting at the table alone. Elvan asks him to find Huso and stop him from making any more bad choices. The camera pans to the unchecked well that we know does contain some evidence. Fatma comes outside and asks again why she has to go to the station but all Omer says is we’ll talk when we get there.
As Omer gets down to the street he finds Elif talking to Arda. Elif wants to know what is going on and she knows they are hiding something from her. Arda tries to deny it but Elif says not to treat her like an idiot. Fatih called her and said he was helping Omer, what happened? Is it about Huso? Did he have something to do with the murders? (Elif has good instincts). Arda looks to both Omer and Fatma who is watching – maybe close enough to hear. He says no, Elif. He tells her they only found evidence of some of Huso’s illegal activities and when he found out he ran. Elif wants to know how Fatih fits into that and Arda says he just confirmed that Huso was Tayyar’s right hand man. Elif says and that’s all and Arda says of course. Pelo asks Fatma to please get in the car. Elif turns and sees Omer.
Elmer meet in the middle of the street in a big hug and Omer clings. Elif asks him how he is and says she couldn’t sleep last night she was so worried about him. Omer says very little but does tell her Fatih is in custody and they are taking Fatma to the station. Elif says it’s not the best moment to talk about this but their wedding is tomorrow and they can postpone if he wants. Omer doesn’t answer one way or the other and Arda calls out let’s go, Omer just says he has to go. Elif wants to be with him in this but Omer remains closed off. Omer walks off to Arda’s car and Elif gets in hers and drives away. Arda is rather comically frustrated with himself for interrupting Omer and Elif. He says he probably ruined everything but Fatma was looking at him and he got intimidated! LOL
Mert is at a food cart picking up pastries when he gets a call. He sees the name and answers cheerfully, asking if Demet is at the office and telling her he’s getting her something. Demet is crying though and Mert is immediately alarmed. He tells her to take a deep breath and tell him what happened. Demet cries the story about the police search out and tells him that Huso got involved in dirty business with Tayyar. Mert is disgusted, now it’s Demet’s turn to have her life ruined by his dad. He tells her not to worry; he’s on his way. Demet says no, it’s better if he doesn’t come there. She has one more piece of news, she heard Omer say that Tayyar had been shot, he’s in a coma. What, Mert says, who shoot him? We don’t hear Demet’s answer.
Nilu is waiting for Fatih when they bring him out and he’s not happy. He asks why someone notified his wife without asking him, which makes no sense because she was there when he got arrested. Nilu asks for a moment and oddly the cops allow it. Nilu says she was worried about Fatih but Fatih says she was just in an accident and should be home resting. Nilu only wants to be with him. She asks what is going to happen now and the cop speaks up that Fatih will remain in pretrial detention. The trial will be at the end of the month. Nilu says we’ll fight together, no matter what happens. I’ll testify for you in court. I’ll tell them who your father really is and everything he’s done to you. I’ll do whatever it takes to get you out of here. Fatih says Tayyar’s in critical condition and if he dies Fatih will spend more time in prison, but who cares, he wants that dog to die! (Dude, same!) Fatih is worried about what will happen to Nilu. He knows she would wait her whole life for him but he doesn’t want her to hurt. Nilu says she’ll wait as long as necessary. He is her life; they are going to grow old together. She hugs him and the guards allow it for a minute but then say they have to go.
Omer and Fatma are waiting in a room and Hatice is brought in. Omer gestures for the officer who brought her to leave. Fatma is dramatic as always and Hatice hugs her for a moment before turning to Omer and saying, you have no idea how sorry I am. I did it so I could study — I had no other choice. Omer needs Hatice’s help and she knows but says it’s not easy to send someone else to prison that’s why she preferred to come herself. Fatma goes full blubbering drama queen about how it’s all her fault and she put her daughter in danger, etc etc. I can’t stand listening to her, Omer finally helps to sit down and she asks what will happen next. Omer says Hatice will go to prison but she helped them catch the boss and told them everything she knew so she’ll probably only be there until the trail. Fatma asks Omer to promise she’ll be release soon but Omer tells her she’s lucky Hatice is alive and didn’t end up like Sibel. This leads Fatma to ask if those men are the ones who killed her daughter? That Tayar, or whatever his name is… or was it the boss Ali who killed my daughter? Omar, remember you promised me you would find Sibel’s killer. Don’t let the guilty walk free. Omer is overwhelmed and leaves the room.
Elif arrives at her house and Nedret, Asli and another woman are there – I think the designer. She apologizes for being late and blames traffic and the designer says not to worry because they just arrived too. Elif seems surprised that Omer is too busy to come for some odd reason and they all go in. Asli and the designer go off to talk about the house and Nedret asks about the elephant in the room. Why is a man who is getting married tomorrow not in attendance? He should be here, surely there can’t be anything more important than this. Elif hesitates and then tells Tia the Omer is looking her Huso who has disappeared. He was involved in dirty business with Tayyar.
Henchie returns to the safe house (why?) but Huso has truly lost it (he’s drunk too) and he’s convinced the man is trying to kill him even though we see no evidence of it – I suppose it’s possible though. Huso attacks before the guy knows what hit him and knocks him out. Huso sneaks out of the building past an oblivious guard who’s too busy flirting with his girl on the phone.
Nedret and Elif have taken their conversation outside and the gloves come off. Nedret begs Elif to reconsider her decision. ‘Don’t marry him, please.’ She says. He doesn’t deserve Elif, and she don’t deserve someone with a brother who’s a fugitive from the law.” Elif says her father was also a criminal. But Nedret says her brother was never accused of anything and the defamation of his character happened after he was dead. Elif points out they don’t know yet is Huso is guilty and she cares about Omer not his family. She’s getting married tomorrow and that’s that. Elif points out that Nedret takes every opportunity to speak badly about Omer and his family. She wants to have a good relationship with her tia, but she needs to stop interfering in her life. Nedret says nothing doing, She’s going to interfere whether Elif likes it or not because it’s her responsibility now. She’s her father and her mother now and Elif needs to grow up and understand that. Nedret doesn’t like this situation, she doesn’t want this for Elif’s life. This fun conversation is interrupted by Elvan’s arrival. She’s come to bring Omer’s stuff as Elif asked. Elif smiles and thanks her and Nedret greets her but aunt and niece are barely hiding their animosity toward each other.
I’m glad that Elif isn’t sold on Nedret. I love the ending where Elvan brings Omer’s things!
Earlier I was even sorry for Fatma. When she knows all of it, she’ll need family and friends. I’m glad Hatice is moving into the next phase. She always looked so stricken while on the job. I hope Omer can make it easier for her. I would be paranoid, too, if I were Huso. Tayyar often turns on his allies! Having to wait near the airport would be tough for a man of action. It’s too early to lose Huso or Tayyar, I think. Too much time left. Too bad!
Thanks for the summaries Dondi and Darcy!
Babachita
Huso wanders the city, goes into a shop and asks the proprietor if he can use the phone as his cell has no charge. His first call is not picked up. He calls another number (I love how he has the numbers memorized, I know very few by heart, but here he is calling Tayyer, then calling Tayyer's secretary.). The lady tells him Tayyer is in the hospital because he was the victim of a violent attack last night. Huso hangs up after saying he hopes he recovers soon.
Omer throws paperwork on the office floor saying this is garbage. Arda enters. The phone hasn't been used in years so nothing to be got from it. Nor the one in the car. Pelo answers a call. Nothing has been found on Demet's computer either. Omer is furious. We need the gun. Arda and Pelin agree, we can't prove anything without the gun. They also need to find Huso, but have had no luck. Omer plays with his lighter. Pelo tells him you are the only one who knows your brother so well, concentrate, where may he have hidden it. Flashback to childhood. He (about 8 years old) and Hussein are playing a game if hide and seek with an empty can. After leaving the can in a circle, young omer walks away and Huso takes the can and drops it in the well. After looking for it with no luck he concedes that Huso won and Huso shows him where he hid it.
So now the police are back to search the well. They ask omer how deep it it as they prepare to drop a guy into the well. He says around 10 meters or more. Melike asks what are the searching for. Omer tells her a gun and she gasps. The guy is winched down into the well and yells I found a gun. Omer says keep looking. His mom says I saw Hussein here twice. The gun is sent up on the winch and it's bagged. Elvan cries, so my son is an assassin. Who did he kill. Omer tells her it's not certain yet, they have to run tests. Don't ask me any more questions as he walks away.
Nilu seems to be talking with an attorney about Fatih. Mert comes in calling for her. How can you be with fatih, he tried to kill my father. Nilu informs him he did it for me. Your father tried to kill me.
As the 3 amigos drive back to the station Pelo tells Omer he needs to stop evading Elif's calls. He says tomorrow we are supposed to get married. How can I tell her my brother killed her father and today we recovered the gun that was used. I promised her a peaceful life (dumb promise coming from a police officer IMO), without lies full of honesty. So are pelo and Ardo thinking he should keep this to himself? Pelo says she would like to know the truth if it were her. I don't know how you should handle it she continues. Omer asks ardo.to stop the car. He gets out, pelo on his heels.
Elif brings flowers to her father's grave. She says tomorrow it's been a year since you have been gone. I'm no longer angry at you. I'm no longer the immature girl I was. Tomorrow I get married. I wish you and mom could be here with me. She adds a wedding invitation to the bouquet. She cries you won't be there to give me away to Omer. More lamenting on her part as she weeps at his grave. Omer finds her and gives her a hug. She asks where has he been. He says it's not important. She mentions Fatih and the trap they set to find the killer. Omer starts, my brother, Elif interrupts, your brother was a traitor to his profession for money. I beg you not to stop looking for the person that killed my father. It's been a year of this nightmare. Please talk to Fatih. He knows who it is. Omer can't look her in the eyes. Saved by the rest of Elif's family who have also come to the graveyard. He gives her another hug. I have to leave for an hour. Everything ok she asks? He walks away. Nedret looks at Elif with concern.
Mert can't believe he is sad about his father. Levent tells him it's normal, he is your father. Mert says he steals a kid from his own son then tries to kill his wife, how can he be so awful. Levent says something like you can't choose your family. Mert says Elif gave me a room a job...levent wants him to help him with doing something for Elif (I think). Mert says what can I do?
Omer and Ardo sit on some steps overlooking the city. He tells Ardo I had a lump in my throat, I wanted to tell her but I couldn't speak. If you could have heard her when she said it's not my fault about my brother. Ardo says time heals all wounds. Omer says not for her. Every day she wants to know if we've found the killer. Her wound is not healing. We just wanted a peaceful happy life. Ardo asks what have you decided to say and do?
The wedding gown is delivered to Elif at home. Her sisters can't wait to see it on her. They run upstairs with it as Elif checks her phone.
Huso tells the guy at the front desk he forgot his key. (Is this his hotel or a different place)? The guy asks what room, Huso first says 94, then 96 which raises suspicion. The guy says he'll have to check, that's the rules. Huso grabs him by the collar and mutters something about not letting him in his own apartment then stalks off. Up in an apartment the guy who got bashed on the head is coming to. Two other guys are with him. They are off to find Huso.
Preparations for the wedding continue at Elif's home with the wedding planner coming and chocolates being delivered. Asli is excited, Elif not so much. Omer is acting very strange she tells her sisters, and you know this is not his normal. The phone rings, sisters are sure it's omer. No such luck, it's Levent. He has a surprise for her, he'll text her the location. She reminds him tonight is the henna party. He assures her it won't take long. She says fine, gets her coat to leave. Nedret comes in and asks what's going on. Elif says I have something to do, see you later.
Ipek is in her apartment. Her son somes in asking for 5 more minutes. She says, no, it's bedtime. He runs to the living room where Omer is sitting to give him a kiss goodnight. He says I tried to get five more minutes but Mom says no. Omer says we'll play another day. Kid says if I behave I can see my dad. Omer stares at Ipek. Boy (I've forgotten his name) runs off to bed. Omer says you haven't told him? Ipek says I don't know how. His father is dead. He's so young to understand it.
Ipek says I went to the station today and they told me everything. How are you? Omer says I need your help. Elif told me there is a a relation between Jaycee and I (not trusting that name from the transcript but it's better than boy).
Levent apologizes for dragging Elif away but while Tayyer is in the hospital they need to move fast. She says let me call omer first. Levent is frustrated. Call him after the meeting. It's a meeting of the board of Tayyer's foundation. Mer greets her as she looks surprised.
Ipek tells Omer he needs to just look in Elif's eyes and tell the truth. It's too late for us, I chose not to. Don't make the same mistake as me.
Back at the board meeting. Mert introduces Elif. (Bit confused here as I keep watching this after a week or two off, is she already on the board and he is making her the acting director while Tayyer is out of commission, or is he making a motion to add her to the board)? Elif whispers to him your dad will be mad. Mert says that's what I want. Looks like they are voting to make her a member by show of hands. She is approved.
In the fully furnished pink house Omer wanders around. He remembers Elif telling the decorater what she wanted. The phone rings. Elif. Not answering again as he holds his head in despair. She sends a text. Hi, Capitan. We marry tomorrow. i can't believe I'll be spending the rest of my life at your side. I love you so much. He doesn't text back. Meanwhile Elif has also come to the pink house after her board meeting. When did you get here she asks. A bit ago he replies. I've been trying to call you all day. Are you preoccupied about looking for Hussein. Have you found him? Omer shakes his head no. I've sent you messages but you haven't answered. Do you have something to tell me?. He says no but looks really guilty. She says my father really liked this watch, as she holds it in her hand. We found it together in his bedroom when we first met. Elif says you taught me it's always best to know the truth. Omer says I don't have much experience I'm thinking too much ( I probably got this wrong as it doesn't make much sense). She gives him the watch. It's yours. I was going to give it to you after the wedding, but since you are here I'll give it to you now. He says I can't accept, it too valuable to you. She says that's why I'm giving it to you. Hugs and kisses I'm going to love you unconditionally (she says in her mind). Elif has to get back home. Omer will turn off the lights. He stares at the watch., then puts it on the table
Back at Elif's home the henna party starts. Omer sits in the dark at the pink house, turning the light on and off (I guess he doesn't have his lighter on him).
Huso is outside in a pergola. He recalls omer yelling at him. A stray yellow dog startles him. He looks around nervously.
Wedding morning. Elif dreams of last years birthday celebration. Her sisters wake her up.with a lit cake and happy birthday wishes. She starts crying. What's wrong they adk. Nilu says don't scare us.
Omer sleeps in his childhood home. Elvan wakes him, his wedding suit is nearly pressed awaiting his wedding. She imagined this day full of people and happy faces. Not the sad face he is wearing. Don't be sad because it's different than we imagined. When you were little your dad and I would imagine this day. You are living your destiny. Everyone has to pay for their own sins, not the sins of others. I.knoe you are sad because I'm your mother, but don't worry. Get up and smile and get ready for your wedding.
Thanks Babachita, Dondi and Darcy for getting it all for me. My contribution is more along the lines of getting the series finished sooner, lol.
Thank you, Kat! These episodes have lots happening. Interesting that Mert and Levent are somewhat in cahoots. I’m liking Levent better than I used to. I hope Elif can bring about change in Tayyar’s org and not be held culpable!
I think the boy is Yagiz, or Yaz for short. That reveal is going to hit pretty soon. I wonder if Elif knows about the visits.
The well retrieval was great! How long was that going to go on. Omer, always so good, remembers Huso using it when they were kids. They succeed in getting the gun. I feel triumphant! Progress! But 50 or so more episodes left, lots to go wrong!
Babachita
Thanks Kat! Your recap is great!
Poor Omer, he feels like he can't marry Elif now because he'll always remind her of her father's murderer. So sad....but I get the angst, still he needs to tell Elif the truth.
I think Omer asked Ipek to lie about Yaz's parentage...it wasn't clearly stated but Omer asked about his supposed connection to Yaz and then in the next scene Ipek was saying 'I can't do what you're asking me to do'. He could have asked her for something else because we never hear the actual question but the way it was set up....Ipek refuses and tells Omer to tell Elif the truth and not make the same mistake she did. I can only think Omer thinks the same as Nedret that Elif will end things if she 'finds out' he's Yaz's father and so he can avoid letting her marry the brother of her father's killer without actually telling her that Huso killed dad. It makes no sense though because sooner or later she's going to find out when Huso gets arrested for the crime. But logic isn't always present with shock and everything else Omer is processing through.
Levent is interesting with Mert and less unlikeable, I agree but I still don't love him.
I don't know how I managed the 110 vs 114 thing but published comments aren't editable. I'd have to delete the recap and repost it but I don't think it's worth that since then the episodes would be out of order.
Darcy thanks for explaining about omer and Ipek. I researched this morning as it's been like 2 weeks since I watched it. For some reason I thought we were further along so I was watching 117 this weekend. I guess I got a head start
I wasn't sure if bloggers that post the pages of what is upcoming have editing capability (I'm not sure if you are one of them, I lose track of who does it except rvgchic does one). I agree, don't repost them. It's in good keeping it in order.
Hi Kat, yes I have those permissions but there is still no way to edit a comment. At least not that I am aware of. The button just doesn’t exist.
