Caray, Caray!

Sorry again that I am so far behind on Cuerpo recaps. I am going on vacation today and won't be back until March 14. Cuerpo is ending on March 20.

Mon., Feb. 15
We zip to the night before the wedding and Camilo drives PJ/S to the Donoso house for an untraditional bachelor celebration.

Of course, he decides to go to the Donoso house and play the one and only piece that PJ apparently knew. Abigail tells Simón that PJ/S has to answer a lot of questions about the mysterious midnight concerts. This night, for instance, she hears a lot of anger in his music. Valeria feels that PJ isn't playing for her tonight.

Next morning Gaetana wakes PJ/S up (in his Ralph Lauren Polo pj's). She says that she wishes he would change his mind and not make the same mistake again. PJ/S says that this time it will be Isabel making the mistake, not him.


Isabel is unhappy with her makeup stylist and hairdressers and they leave in a huff. Valeria comes to help her get ready.
Tuesday Feb. 17 -

Gaetana and Matilda are a class act in their get ups to go to the wedding.

PJ/S waits at the altar.

Wednesday, Feb. 18

The the reception, the newlyweds dance and for the second time, Isabel sees PJ when she looks at PJ/S.

Tio Felipe takes Cantalicia back to Las Cruces.

PJ/S tells Isabel that Gaetana is his best friend and he invited her to the wedding. Isabel demands an explanation.

Wed. Feb. 11 (partial)
While PJ/S is asleep, he has a dream about the fight with Miguel. Here, the dream has woken him up.

Then we have a shower scene, which could be the same one they already showed but we don't care.

Gaetana tells PJ/S that she is worried about this happening again. PJ/S (in his purple shirt) says that it is inevitable. He only hopes that he has enough time to complete his mission. The rest is up to God. Gaetana says that she would be more at ease if she knew what the mission was but at that moment Matilda comes in and the opportunity is lost.

PJ/S goes out to dinner with Isabel. She says that in spite of the bruises, he looks very handsome. He suggests that that they put a bold face on their engagement and have a big party to announce their engagement. Isabel says that she likes challenges.

PJ/S tells Gaetana that if Salvador gets his body back, he won't give it up again and PJ will never return again.

Thurs. 2/12

The the big engagement party takes place. Afterwards, PJ/S refuses to stay with Isabel. He is leaving the Donoso house and there is some psychic tension and he turns and Rebeca is pointing a gun at him. She fires but misses.

PJ/S looks on with sardonic satisfaction as Rebeca is forced to confess how she pursued PJ/S. PJ/S tells Isabel that he wants Rebeca to stay at the Donoso house. Rebeca tells Walter that she has one more card to play.

Fri. 2/13

Ángela, Abigail, Antonio and Simón ask Isabel if she is going to bring PJ/S to live in the house. After what happened with Valeria and Rebeca, they are afraid that his presence will be even more disruptive than when Andrés lived there. Isabel asks what happened to all of their great affection for PJ/S. She says that she still has the right to live in the house and if they don't want to live with PJ/S, they should leave.

PJ/S invites Gaetana, Camilo, Lupe and Matilda to his wedding. He says that once he marries Isabel all the need for secrecy and mystery is over.

Cantalicia sees the picture of PJ/S and Isabel in the newspaper. She gets a neighbor to read the wedding notice to her. Cantalicia is destrozada.

The gang of four (Ángela, Abigail, Antonio and Simón) tell PJ/S that they don't want him to live at the house because of the conflicts that it will cause. PJ/S says that he won't give up on the people he loves. He asks for one month to show that he isn't an opportunist who is after their money. PJ/S says that he is here for a reason that he can't disclose.

We start with PJ/S in his bedroom in his blue shirt. He tells Gaetana that he had another attack and believes that Salvador is going to take over his body again. They make an extremely ineffective plan for that eventuality and Gaetana gets called away to deal with Evaristo wanting to do another serenata in the bar.

No sooner is Gaetana out the door, then PJ/S turns into Salvador and Cantalicia hears him calling her.

Salvador examines his hair and beard.

Salvador escapes from Gaetana's house unseen during a brawl in the bar. He wanders along the road and finally steps in front of a car. He tells the old couple driving that he doesn't know where he is and just wants to get back to his pueblo.

As luck would have it, this couple has serious problems. Their daughter is married to a criminal named Ronny. Long story short, Salvador and the daughter's child, Tommy, get kidnapped by Ronny and his gang and are taken to a house that we later find out is in a place called Newton Lake.

Ronny is pretty unstable and here he tries to strangle Salvador, who is tied to a chair.

Meanwhile, Gaetana is crazy with worry. PJ/S has also not shown up for work and has stood Isabel up. Gaetana and Camilo call PJ's spirit.

This seems to have some effect because right when Ronny is about to shoot Salvador...

he has a seizure plus the psychic music and topples over unconscious.

We would assume that he is PJ/S again when he wakes up and he seems to be a little more alert than Salvador but he doesn't say anything. More criminals arrive and for some reason, whoever is in the body has to fight a big guy named Miguel.
PJ is not fighting back with his martial arts knowledge so it seems like Salvador is there.
Miguel knocks Salvador down, he has another seizure, and now it's clearly PJ fighting. Miguel knocks PJ down again, he has another seizure, and Salvador is back but this time his unskilled fighting defeats Miguel.

Eventually Salvador and Tommy escape from the house and hide. Meanwhile, the police come and arrest all the criminals.

Yet another seizure and Salvador falls down unconscious. Tommy runs away, is found by the police and is reunited with his mother and grandparents.

PJ/S wakes up has no idea where he is or what happened and wonders if this is a nightmare or real. He decides that it is real. He staggers off so that when Tommy leads the police to where he left Salvador, he's gone.

The next morning some bicyclists find PJ/S on a road. He calls Gaetana who comes to collect him.

And we end up back with PJ/S in his bedroom in his blue shirt, now somewhat the worse for wear (both him and the shirt). When Salvador told the criminals that he was just a peasant, they didn't believe him because no peasant would be wearing a silk shirt like that.

Wed., Feb. 4 -
Isabel and PJ/S announce to the other residents of the Donoso house that they are getting married. The rest of the episode is everyone's reaction to that news. Their reactions are negative ranging from Rebeca and Simón who are vehemently against it to doubt and confusion from others. Only Antonio tries to defend PJ/S.
Here he gets the call from Isabel to come to the house.

Rebeca is inconsolable and Walter tries to turn her grief into hate.
The news hits the factory.
Thurs., Feb. 5 -

Antonio goes to see PJ/S. In spite of being warned that surprises were coming, Antonio is concerned about PJ/S's behavior. PJ/S advises him that worse is to come.

Rebeca comes to see Cantalicia and is about to take her to tell her story to Isabel when Felipe interrupts them. He throws Rebeca out.

Rebeca goes to see PJ/S and calls him (right out on the loading dock with Simón watching) an opportunist and tells him to leave Isabel alone. PJ/S points out to her that when she wanted to marry him, she didn't feel that way. She threatens to tell Isabel about his sordid past. PJ/S says that is ok with him.


Rebeca asks to borrow Walter's gun.

PJ/S tries to explain his conduct to Ángela (who looks so much better and more mature without the bright yellow eye shadow) but she doesn't understand or trust what he is doing marrying her enemy right after he threw Valeria over.

Driving home, PJ/S gets the spasms of pain that indicate that Salvador wants his body back. "Not again, please God," begs PJ/S.
