Acorralada - #28 – 2/20/07 Wednesday – – $eX, Drugs, and Rock 'n Roll. The Plot Thickens!
A repeat of F/G trying manipulate the Soriano sisters into taking revenge on the Irascibles. She's failing.
We're at some bar where Emili-Oh is with his cousin, waiting for Camila. Sylvie's wig is now black. I can't even begin to describe her outfit. I think it's a black upside down umbrella with a tight white tank top and a huge white ceramic heart dangling from her neck. Around her waist is an orange tube-top looking thing, with a red belt. Ooh, let's not forget the black dots she's painted on her cheek. Sylvie tells him for being as beautiful as he is (which he is), he's really slow. Sylvie wants to dance, but Emili-Oh says "you know I don't dance." "No wonder you're still single!" At this point Peyote walks in with some dopey dude (possibly Rene?) who runs off to find some drugs. Peyote spies Max's best friend, Emili-Oh, at the bar and goes to talk to him. Sylvie tries to set the two of them up. Peyote flirts but says Emili-Oh "isn't my type." Andres hands off the coke to Dopey Dude and Peyote joins them and plants a wet one on Andres. Dopey Dude hands Peyote the cocaine and Emili-Oh catches the exchange. Emili-Oh punches Dopey Dude. "Then what I've heard is true," says Emili-Oh "you DO use drugs!" No one else in the bar seems to have noticed the punch.
Paco is talking to F/G as F/G is getting ready for her show. P—"Any luck in recruiting the girls to help you take down the Irascibles?" F/G—"Not yet. They're still hurting. I'll turn them around sooner or later." I need to get their granny alone. Diana said their parents are dead. I want to find out from Granny how they died."
Lala and Diego are at Granny M's house. Discussing, what else? The Irascibles! Diana wants to know if Lala has heard anything further about Max's impending move to
Emili-Oh is still confronting Peyote at the bar. She is yelling at him to leave her alone. No one seems to notice. Dopey Dude walks up and pretends to know karate. This is the same Dopey Dude that Emili-Oh knocked down with a single blow. Dopey Dude and Peyote leave. Sylvia walks up and wants to know what she missed. "And what's that white powder on the floor?"
Max is taking D/M to buy "modern" clothing since all her clothes are two year's old. "Buy anything you want!" says Max. What happened to his yellow Corvette? Now he's in a black Mercedes convertible. They are parked in front of Office Depot, and some guy is standing in the background watching them film this scene.
Andres pulls up in a Volvo, with Doc Evil sitting in the back seat. Doc Evil apparently needs clothing as well.
D/M and Max are strolling around the mall. D/M asks Max if he's decided whether or not he wants to move to
Doc Evil is asking Andres if Andres thinks Diana is suffering now. Andres assures Doc Evil she is.
D/M and Max are continuing their stroll, but now Max's sweater is half tucked into his white belt. Please tell me he's not wearing white shoes with his dark pants. OMG! I just replayed this scene and Max IS wearing white shoes with his dark pants! I am so appalled I don't even know what D/M is saying. I'm fixated on Max's attire. Kind of like driving by a car wreck.
D/M has presumably forgotten her purse in the car and goes out to get it. Doc Evil is on his way into the mall and Andres is left outside to polish the Volvo. As D/M walks out, she and Doc Evil pass each other but are looking in different directions. That can't be said for Andres. He sees D/M and says "Debora! My wife! Maldita!" Andres is impactado.
Diana is sitting at Granny M's sewing machine. The doorbell rings. It's ***stalker*** Diego. He's bringing her a pink rose. "It's not as beautiful as you are." Do these lines even work any more? He then starts in with pressuring Diana to marry him. "Have you given thought to my proposition?" **For crying out loud!!!!!!!!** Diana looks as befuddled as ever.
Bruno has gone to
I just noticed the license plate of Max's Mercedes. They did not blur out the license plate number. Hmmm. I wonder who it's registered to in real life. I can't tell if it's a rental car or not. It looks like a dealer license plate frame from Mercedes Benz of
Octave is grousing to her sister Yolanda about Diana. The usual topic when not griping about her ingrate children. She appears to be drinking from an empty tea cup. Lala is sweeping next to Octave and taking everything in. Octave accuses Lala of listening. Lala leaves and Yolanda points out that Lala has worked for them for years. Octave is being paranoid. "Am I? Lala is on Diana's side!"
Andres wants to know who D/M is with. He reminds her she's a thief. She threatens to scream and he tells her to knock herself out. He'll tell everyone who and what she is. He then starts choking her. Lots of yelling and struggling. D/M knees Andres in the groin and shoves him into the open trunk of the Volvo and closes the deck lid. She then jumps into the Mercedes and drives off. I will say the Volvo's deck lid was open the whole time while Max was presumably cleaning the car.
Diego**stalker** is still **stalker** trying to convince **stalker** Diana to marry him. He is begging and groveling. She finally tells him her answer is no. For once Diana is starting to grow a spine. At least as far as Stalker, I mean Diego, goes.
D/M as has apparently parked somewhere else at this huge mall and miraculously finds Max. "I don't like this place. I want to leave NOW!" Max wants to know why. There's perfectly good clothing here. Max starts getting suspicious so D/M has to suck it up and stay.
Lots of sobbing and whining by Bruno and Marfil at Isabel's house. The pitch is so annoying I had to mute the sound. On and on they seem to go about Debora stealing Max. Isabel is standing there wishing she could afford extra heavy duty noise-canceling headphones. Isabel tries to comfort Marfil after Bruno leaves to no avail. I'm sure it's to get her to shut up.
Now she's done it. D/M is trying to explain why she suddenly hates the mall. It's because she wants to spend time with Max and convince him to move to
Oh for heaven's sake!!!! We're back to Diego and Diana AGAIN! Diego is asking "Are you absolutely, positively, unequivocally sure you won't marry me." Diana says she's absolutely, positively, unequivocally sure she doesn't love him. Diego wanders off to presumably eat worms.
Sylvie has electric blue hair now! And some black outfit with a black bubble skirt! Sylvie must have so much fun getting ready for her scenes! I want to be Sylvie! Any way, Camila is talking about the fight with D/M. S—"Like two cats?" I believe Sylvie wants to go after Larry, but I can't be sure. Her hair was distracting me. Camila says all is not lost yet; she hasn't given up on Max. Sylvie is worried they'll never be rich now.
Doc Evil is returning to his Volvo. They flash the license plate on this car as well. The license plate frame reads Miami-Warren Beury (or Henry). He asks "Where is that idiot, Andres?" On cue, there is shouting from the trunk. Doc Evil lets Andres out. Andres is screaming how he was attacked by his wife and locked in the trunk. DE—"Look here, brainiac. Here's the trunk release you could have used to free yourself hours ago!" Andres looks sheepish.
D/M and Max still arguing about going to
Filler scene with Isabel helping Marfil with physical therapy. Marfil in a pink lacy negligee is all smiles. Presumably therapy is going well. A couple of boats going by. A traffic scene of exit signs for 957 or 937,
Diana is sitting at Granny's sewing machine while Granny is measuring a woman. Diana and Max's theme song is playing in the background. Max is at the office working on his laptop with a far away look. The music plays on. You see Larry's pec. Now you hear Larry and Gaby's music. The camera pans up as Larry is kissing Pilars picture. He's all weepy. Sappy music plays. Now there is a night scene of the city. I guess this means some time has passed. Speaking of time, who wants to bet D/M turns up pregnant, either for real or for fake?!
D/M is trying to feed Max some food off her plate. He pushes her hand away. She starts making fish lips at him. The music plays on.
Marfil has now been wheeled into Isabel's kitchen. She is doing some hand exercises using some red little stress reliever thingies. "Thingies" is the technical term. Music is still playing. Gaby is sitting on the bed staring at Lunkhead's picture. Diana is writing Maximiliano's name on her mirror in red lipstick and drawing little red hearts all around his name. Still music. A bird flies. More traffic on the freeway. F/G and Paco sitting with the fatherly lawyer. The music continues to play. A night-time view of the city. FINALLY a caption reads one month later!
Diana is sewing. Granny M brings in some juice and tells Diana she needs a break from all that sewing she's been doing. "If I don't get this dress done, the client will be angry and not pay us. Then we won't have money for rent." Granny talks Diana into taking a break. Granny—"You look so pale and sad. Are you still pining away for Max?" Diana—"Of course I am. Gaby and I just can't forget our loves. They're in our hearts."
D/M and Octave are chatting about what else. . .Diana. Octave wants to know how things are going between D/M and Max. D/M says they're fine, but he still thinks about Diana. Octave suggests D/M get pregnant. There's no better way to tie down a man. **Can I call it or what?!** D/M thinks that's a splendid idea! D/M asks if Octave has heard anything about Diana. Octave says no. "I hope she's been eaten by crocodiles," adds D/M.
Granny M is telling Diana that time is the best medicine for a broken heart. Diana tells her it could be a thousand years later and she'll still care for Max. All of a sudden Diana collapses and Granny starts dithering around her saying "Ay! Ay! Ay!"
Max and Emili-Oh are at work discussing women. Max says he can't get Diana out of his mind. Emili-Oh reminds Max he's married to Marfil. Max says he hasn't forgotten, but every time he kisses Marfil, he thinks of Diana. When he holds Marfil in his arms, he dreams of holding Diana. And when he's making love. . .(Max's voice trails off at this little tidbit). The two men discuss how awful it is to love someone they can't have. Emili-Oh points out that women aren't the only ones who suffer because of love. Men suffer as well. ** So who do you think Emili-Oh is in love with? I'm thinking Peyote.**
Lala, Diego and Pancho are talking about Pancho's upcoming wedding. Pancho wants out. Lala tells him he'd better not. Pancho asks Diego about Diana. "I've lost her" laments Diego.
Granny M has some how managed to get Diana to sit on the sofa. Granny is mopping Diana's forehead with alcohol. OK. I'm slow on the uptake. I'm betting Diana is pregnant with Max's love child. Granny asks Diana why she's so pale. "It must be anemia" explains Diana. Granny's says she'll make Diana some nice chicken soup with lots of vitamins. After Granny leaves, the phone rings. When Diana answers, Max says "Diana? My sweet Diana?" Diana asks "Who is this? Who's calling? Why aren't you saying anything?" Love theme plays and we're treated to a commercial break.
Max just sits on the phone like an idiot, not saying a word. He finally hangs up on Diana. Diana sounds miffed. "Who was that?" wonders Diana. Max is off in his dream world when Emili-Oh comes in babbling about business figures. Max is off in space. "Are you even listening to me?" asks Emili-Oh. "You're thinking about HER again, aren't you! Diana. Are you sure everything that Camila and Doc Evil said is true? They're not exactly unbiased when it comes to Diana."
"Thing" from the Addams Family gives a letter to Andres. All we can see is part of a hand. Andres takes the letter and calls Doc Evil. Doc Evil opens it and is thrilled. It's a Subpoena to appear at Diana's trial in a week! "Now we're really going to bury her!" says Doc Evil smugly.
F/G appears at Granny M's house to tell Diana her trial starts in a week. "Are you ready?"
Emili-Oh is trying to convince Max that Diana could possibly be innocent. Doc Evil isn't exactly the pillar of society. Max tells Emili-Oh to stop confusing him. "Of course Diana did all those evil things." He personally watched her get arrested! "That doesn't mean anything," continues Emili-Oh. "She may still be innocent." Max refuses to listen and tries to convince himself Diana really did try to rob and kill Doc Evil.
Debora comes to visit Marfil. Debora gloats about how wonderful her life is with Max and about all the sex they're having. Marfil tells Debora to get out. After Debora finally leaves, Marfil vows to get better and reveal Debora as an impostor. Debora is going to pay!
F/G is telling Diana not to worry about the upcoming trial. F/G will prepare her well. Some how F/G starts talking about her own case, her lawyer and how she was framed for killing her husband. "But I'm here to talk about your case. Not mine." Diana stands up and just about faints. Diana tells F/G that she's always nauseated in the morning. F/G asks Diana about her period. "It's always been irregular." F/G tells Diana she needs to see a doc immediately. She's pregnant! Diana looks confused.
Max and Emili-Oh are having another discussion about Diana. Emili-Oh suggests that Max find out what really happened and Max saying Diana is trash and he'll never forgive her. Emili-Oh suggests convincing Doc Evil to drop the charges as an act of compassion. Max doesn't like that idea one bit.
Sylvia now has white hair and is wearing a shirt that reads "I'm not as innocent as I look." She's talking on the phone while Camila is hanging out on the sofa. If my understanding is correct, Sylvie has made an appointment with a "doctor of the occult sciences." Camila asks why she would want to see a witch. Sylvie, whose enthusiasm can't be dampened, says he famous! Apparently he'll help Sylvie land Lunkhead (as if…) and Camila get Max back. You've got to love Sylvie's energy and optimism!
F/G finally convinces Diana to go to the hospital to get checked. Diana is in denial, she can't possibly be pregnant! While Diana is in the other room getting her purse, Granny comes out and wants to know what's going on. F/G tells her Diana's trial is next week. Presumably Diana is going with her to get prepped for trial. F/G then asks Granny how Diana's and Gaby's parents died.
Max shows up at Doc Evil's office. Doc Evil asks if Granny DS is OK. "Yes," says Max. "Granny is fine. I'm here to talk about Diana. . .
Roll those credits!

Acorralada - #27 – 2/20/07 Tuesday – Heaven Hath No Rage. . .
Octave is standing with her back to Bruno and D/M in someone's bedroom. Why don't I know? Because Bruno is frantically passing the cane to D/M so D/M can pretend to be still recovering from her "accident." I didn't see anyone walk in to the room. If Octave had entered D/M's room, she would have seen D/M walking around without a cane. If D/M and Bruno had entered the room, D/M would not have been without her cane. I just don't get it. Oh well, it doesn't matter.
Octave is there to tell D/M about the fight between Max and Diego. D/M slips up and says she knows about it. "How can that be? You weren't here," says Octave. D/M is starting to make up some story, but Octave cuts her off and says it doesn't matter. The important thing is that Max now thinks Diana is a tramp who has deceived him. Octave--"Now is the time to work your feminine magic and re-capture Max's attention. I think the two of you should move to
Boring stuff at Paco's bar. Apparently F/G's old friend and attorney has come up with some information that will clear F/G's name and create a scandal in the social circle of which Octave is a queen bee. F/G does her usual vengeance speech about how Octave and her family are all going to pay dearly for framing her. She wants Octave to spend the rest of her life in jail!
Gaby is on her way out of
Max comes downstairs and Octave asks him to accompany her to the garden.
D/M is on a tirade with Bruno. D/M thinks moving to
Diego shows up at Granny M's and Diana's house. Granny tells Diego that Diana is devastated. Granny then sends Diego to Diana's bedroom to talk some sense into her. Diana is on the bed crying about how much she loves Max and how unfair life is. She is wallowing in her role of victim right now. Poor, poor, pitiful me!
Octave is strolling arm in arm with Max in the garden. Octave starts in on what a low-life (una muerta de hambre) Diana is. Max doesn't want to discuss his love-life with mom. Octave goes on and on about forgetting Diana and resurrecting his marriage to Marfil. If he moves to
Diego seizes the opportunity to continue his campaign to make Diana his wife. Is this guy THAT desperate? The whole conversation is too disgusting for words. I'm really beginning to think Diego is a stalker. He's creeping me out. What ever happened to "No means No"? Granny needs to stick to her day job as a seamstress and quit moonlighting as a matchmaker and egging this maniac on. Diana tells him she needs to think about it and totally bursts into tears after Diego leaves. She thought bubbles, "What have I done to deserve every man sniffing around my tail, except the one putz I want?"
Octave is plotting with D/M. O—"All good women convince their men to do things by using the bed." D/M thinks that's a splendid idea.
Caramel is at Lala's, Diego's and Pancho's house for dinner. Caramel is prattling on and on about how happy she is that she and Pancho are getting married. Diego is slouched in a chair glowering. Lala is trying to be polite. Caramel asks Lala why she doesn't seem so excited. Lala tells her it's been a long day in the office. Lala leaves the room and then Caramel continues her happy babbling to Diego, trying to get him to act as excited as she is. Caramel nauseatingly goes on and on about how much in love she and Pancho are, and how they're going to be so happy.
Pancho is doing push-ups in the bedroom, when Lala walks in and tells him to stand up. "We need to talk!" She reminds him that he's getting married in a month and needs to quit sneaking around with Peyote. He tries to deny it. Lala then goes on to tell him what happened between Max and Diego earlier in the day. Pancho doesn't believe it.
D/M is in her bedroom pouring on a gallon of perfume. She is wearing some naughty little red number with black garters, stockings, and FM shoes. Bruno walks in and is aghast. More fighting between D/M and Bruno, about D/M's wanting to do the horizontal bop with Max. Bruno says sleeping with Max wasn't part of the plan. D/M—"Well guess what, now it is and there's not a thing you can do about it!" Bruno tries to grab D/M as D/M is strutting out of the room, but D/M pushes her onto the bed calling Bruno and idiot. After D/M leaves, Bruno the evil ice queen, starts crying. "What have I done? Debora has stolen Marfil's husband!"
Max is splayed out on the bed, drunk. He keeps muttering Diana's name and the thought of moving to
In struts D/M without her cane and wearing 18-inch heels with black pompoms on them. D/M then seduces Max, which of course doesn't take much. She's got on some really wet-looking lipstick and actually licks Max before zeroing in for the kill. Those two deserve one another!
Camila and Sylvie are gloating about Max dumping Diana and the look on Max's face when Camila told him about Diana's past. Emili-Oh is serving them drinks. He can't believe they are gossiping about Diana. Camila makes the mistake about attributing Diana's downfall to gossip from Andres. Emili-Oh asks what kind of person would listen to a blackmailer such as Andres. Camilia doesn't care, she's just glad Max dumped Diana. Emili-Oh asks what difference does it make if Max dumps Diana, because Max is still married to Marfil. Camila points out that Marfil is no competition at all!
Max and D/M are in bed together. This is too disgusting to even write about. Lots of face swallowing. D/M is begging Max to promise her she's the only one and that they will move to
It is breakfast time and Granny M is trying to get Diana to eat. Diana is not hungry. She mentions she needs to go out and find a job. Granny M tells her to forget about the Irascibles. Diana tells Granny that Diego proposed "last night." Granny is delighted! He's such a **stalker** wonderful **stalker** noble **stalker** man! "Unlike that idiot Max who believes the first bad thing someone tells him."
Breakfast poolside at the Irascible mansion. Octave, Yolanda and Peyote are at one round table; Lunkhead, D/M and Max at another. Gaby is nowhere to be seen. She's either banished to the kitchen or servant's quarters. D/M has some good news she'd like to share! "Max and I are no longer getting divorced! Not only that, we are moving to
Nancy and Lala are in the kitchen talking to Gaby.
Octave is now in the living room with Max. She is thrilled that he's considering moving to
Diana is at the sewing machine putting on make-up and mooning about how much she loves Max. At that very moment the phone rings. It's Lala calling to give her bad news. "Is it about Max?"
Gaby is wheeling her suitcase through the living room when she runs into Lunkhead. Who cares what Lunkhead is wearing at this point. "What are you doing with your suitcase?" asks the master of the obvious. Gaby—"I'm leaving this house of horrors forever!"
Lala tells Diana that Max is moving to
Gaby tells Lunkhead she's his wife, but she's not his wife. They don't sleep together, eat together, and his family treats her like a zero. Lunkhead has the gall to apologize for being spineless and not standing up to his mom. Further, the tool has tears in his eyes. Gaby says he has nothing to apologize for. She was happy for the five minutes of their wedding day. It was a dream come true. Octave and Max walk up shattering this heart-warming little scene. Octave asks "wha's up with the suitcase?" "I'm leaving forever" states Gaby. "You haven't stolen anything have you?" Larry and Max defend Gaby. Larry turns to Gaby with tears rolling down his cheeks and tenderly touches Gaby's face. ***Puh-leeze!*** Then he turns around and walks away. Octave points to the front door and tells Gaby "don't let it hit you on your way out!" Max asks Octave why she must humiliate people. "Yo?" asks Octave.
Bruno and D/M are still discussing the impending move to
Emili-Oh is at work but on the phone with Max. Apparently Max is asking for advice about moving to
Diana asks Lala to find out when Max and D/M are leaving. She wants to go to the airport to see Max "for the last time." ***Cry me a river!***
Max is curled up on the bed in a fetal position thinking about Diana and how she "done him wrong." D/M walks in and climbs on top of him, pulling all her best moves to convince him to move.
Gaby returns to Granny M's house. Heartbroken. Granny M is all but tap-dancing with happiness that Gaby is now home.
Lunkhead is splayed on the bed lamenting about his pathetic behavior. He tries to mock-apologize to the now absent Gaby for using her. He'll never love her. Doesn't Lunkhead have some other telenovela to go to? He really needs to just disappear. What a slug.
Yolanda and Nancy are talking when the doorbell rings about 80 times. Before
F/G is talking to Paco at his bar. She's saying the attorney is a good man and will bury the Irascibles. She then says how sorry she feels for Gaby and Diana who have fallen for the wrong men. "They remind me of my daughters who were stolen from me." Foreshadowing anyone?
Max is sitting on the bed saying he needs to hate Diana and forget about her.
The fight continues until Bruno walks in and breaks it up. How big is this house? I find it hard to believe that no one hears the commotion.
Octave is pointing out to Yolanda that it's strange she hasn't heard further from F/G. Yolanda suggests that F/G has left
Filler stuff. Paco and Lorenzo are talking about F/G and her daughters. Who cares?
Back to the fight. Now Bruno is in the middle of the two fieras. Too bad she didn't bring her whip and chair! Camila threatens to kill D/M. Personally, they seem to be pretty evenly matched. After Camila finally leaves, D/M threatens Bruno, "Don't you dare say a word about this to Max!" I could all but hear this
F/G is at Granny M's house talking to Granny, Diana and Gaby. F/G is trying to incite a riot. Neither Gaby nor Diana wants any part of destroying the Irascible boys. Granny pleads with F/G to not destroy the souls of her granddaughters. F/G is too caught up in her own personal vendetta to care about the girls. She is going to make the Irascibles crawl at her feet!
Credits roll!

Acorralada #26 Monday 2/19 Many secrets are revealed
We begin with a meeting of Camila and Max. She is trying to tell him the terrible secret—he doesn’t want to hear any of her trash talk. Nothing will change his opinion (stay tuned). He does remember that he saw the police arresting her, and he wonders why she didn’t give an honest answer when she first met him? (this is not completely clear to me because I didn’t see the early episodes).
Cut to Peyote lying in bed. She breathily repeats the name of her exciting new lover: “Pancholon.” “Pancholon.” She gets more excited with each recitation.
Camila now tells Max that D tired to rob and kill Doc Evil. Max still doesn’t believe. But then he remembers that Doc Evil wanted to tell him something . . . hmmm. Wasn’t that right after Camila stabbed Evil? This just doesn’t make sense. Since Camila stabbed Evil herself, doesn’t she realize that Diana really didn’t try to kill him? (But Diana’s incident was earlier. I guess Camila thinks everyone goes around attempting murder . . .)
Max is now growing suspicious. He goes to see his friend Ignacio.
D/M is talking to Bruno about Granny DS. They are upset that she saw them, but they figure no one will believe what she says. A knock at the door. D/M must scramble for her cane. It’s Camila, who is there to gloat that the nurse will soon be on the way out. Of course, Camila still thinks D/M is RM.
Now for another BIG revelation. Yolanda and O are talking. We now learn that Paola is O’s daughter by another man! (not husband who fathered Max and Larry.) O went on a business trip and came back pregnant. She realizes she sinned, so she hates her daughter as the product of sin, even though the loved the man very much, blah blah blah. That’s why she treats Paola so badly. Yolanda remonstrates with her on this. But she doesn’t call O a “muerta de hambre,” unfortunately.
Max goes to see Doc Evil. You’ve got to love Doc Evil’s dyed blond hair. It looks so fake. Evil says that he knows her from when they worked at the hospital. Iago tells Othello ….oops, I mean Evil tells Max . . . that Diana was the plaything of all the doctors there, she had affairs with everyone there and wanted to marry a millionaire, etc. You can hardly see the wheels turning in dim-bulb Max’s brain. Still, he doesn’t believe.
Larry is reclining on bed in usual pinup pose. Pilar calls and yells for help again. Gaby comes in.
Max protests to Evil that Diana seems so innocent. That’s just part of her game, says Evil.
D/M and Cam are talking about Max. More about how they will soon be rid of the nurse, but undercurrent about how they are really rivals.
Larry and Gaby talk. She doesn’t want to leave her room because it makes Octavia mad. You shouldn’t have asked me to marry you. I was dreaming of you for so long while serving you breakfast. You need help, but your mother won’t accept me. I can’t help you.
O comes in. What is she doing here? She is not allowed in the bedrooms. If you need to talk to her, you have to talk in the garden or living room. Larry says he hasn’t touched her.
Granny M is going to church to pray for her girls. Diana remains at home and calls Gaby. Gavy is crying and Diana tells her to come home. But she won’t leave Larry. She says if she doesn’t fight, he’ll never love her.
D/M arrives at the little house to see RM. She is wearing a black leather miniskirt, boots and jacket. RM is paralyzed in bed.
Diana prays to the virgencita. Max comes in and tells her that she’s taken him for a fool. She tries to persuade him, but the celos monster has taken over.
D/M and RM have a repetitive back and forth discussion about who will take who’s place, etc. RM once again reminds D/M that she was always a bad student in school and had bad grades. No wonder D/M became a carjacker.
Diana tries to get Max to listen, but he just calls her trash (basura). You wanted the Irascible fortune, and it’s a good thing I got out in time. Exit Max. Enter Diego.
Zombie vows to unmask the leather girl. Uh-oh—D/M pulls a very large gun.
Diego comes in. Diana cries about how she begged Max to believe her. Diego thinks Max is an idiot. More Max bashing.
Back at the little house, Isabel and D/M have a violent wrestling match. Isobel manages to wrest gun away.
At the pool, Octavia is talking to Emilio. The drip returns and Lala comes in. Suddenly Diego comes in. How did they all get there so fast? Max has a Corvette, but Diego seems to walk everywhere. Max and Diego begin fighting. They’re near the edge of the pool. You know they’re going in, but you’ll have to wait . . .
Diana goes to see Gaviota. Nothing happens.
Diego hits Max. Max strangles Diego. Now they tumble into the pool! More fighting. Now Larry and Emilio jump in.
Diana confesses to Gaviota that in the storm she gave into Max. It was her first time. Now he’s saying the worst things. Gaviota sees this as a chance to recruit Diana to her vengeance campaign. Diana declines. Gaviota rages about how they ruined her life, think about my proposals.
Back at the pool, Octavia orders Diego out. With pleasure he says, but his mom, Lala, tries to intervene. Peyote comes in. She’s thrilled, because no more piano lessons. O tells Lala and Max to meet her in the library. O tells Lala that if Diego comes back, he will go to prison.
Back at the bar, Paco receives a call from Gaviota’s lawyer. He apparently has some new evidence that is going to prove her innocent. We don’t know what this is.
Bruno is back in D/M’s bedroom with a cane. D/M had to sneak in with the leather outfit. It’s about time you came back. Max and the piano teacher came to blows and fell in the pool over that nurse.
Max is lamenting to Larry about how Diana was the town pump. Octavia opens the door and overhears. They don’t see her. Larry says that she seems innocent. Ha, that’s her trick. I hate her. O smiles!
RM is fearful because Bruno used to be on her side. Bruno loves you, says Isabel. Don’t worry. We will get back to unmask D/M.
Octavia comes in to talk to D/M and Bruno. D/M must scamper to get her cane. O wonders why D/M was out. But she quickly forgets and says that she missed all the excitement. Good news. That qualquiera has a case against her. This is a great moment. She now lets us in on another plan. She will send D/M and Max to Mexico for two years to start up or run another perfume factory. D/M eye rolls with glee.

Duelo de Pasiones - Wed. Feb 21 - Thelma Plots More People's Demise.
Emilio asks the air "Flor, where could you be? My brother loves you so even though I was ready to dump you I now have renewed interest in you. I love you when I should hate you. God help me to forget her, I must forget her."
The singing aunt joins Don Maximo at the Meson de Edilmiras. She tells him that she always knows where the party is. She admires Coral for her beauty and in almost the same breath asks Maximo if perhaps they can be good friends…. Snicker. Snicker. Eyelashes bat. Laugh. Laugh.
Orlando lets himself into Thelma’s room. She scolds him for entering her room and he laughs. He tells her that Emilio doesn't care in the least that he's in there. He tries to pump her for information on how things are going for her. She tells him that things aren’t going so well in the Emilio department and she’s worried. He tells her that now that the field is clear he wants Flor for himself. She warns him to be careful to make sure Emilio doesn't still want Flor. Orlando jumps up laughing. Emilio hates Flor, he tells Thelma. Emilio thinks that Flor accepted a bride to let Thelma marry him.
Luba and Gaspar have been hit with depression. Gaspar sings in a sad voice that he can’t stop thinking about his muñequita and his kid. Luba asks Gaspar not to repeat that, even though she believes him, la muñequita is the wife of the owner of La Rinconada. He has to forget her. Luba asks Gaspar to promise that he won’t return to La Rinconada anymore.
The singing aunt gives Thelma a pep talk as Thelma applies makeup. Thelma is worried to see Emilio, worried that Emilio might assault her. The aunt says Please! Where is the strong woman she has always seen in her gone? The winner who has always gotten what she wanted. Now she is the wife of Emilio Valtierra and her child will have an illustrious last name. Now once again she will have to conquer the man, to seduce him. The aunt finishes her pep talk by telling Thelma to not forget to cry. It’s the most important thing, that Thelma’s tears soften Emilio’s insensitive heart.
Rosita lights a candle for Flor. Her dad walks in and asks what's she is doing. Rosita fills her dad in on all of Flor’s bad luck. Flor is like a sister to her, she doesn't want Flor to suffer any more because of her crazy father’s fault. Daddy warns Rosita to be careful about calling Don Loco crazy. If Don Loco hears her calling him crazy he might hurt her…….
Alina/Flor and Don Loco talk. He tells her she is smart for going to the cops to accuse him, but she now knows who runs things here. Right? Alina/Flor tells her papi she knows that now, and she also knows deep down he still loves her. He tells her that she is going to stay here until she learns how to respect him. They fight about whether he is her father or not. She argues how she knows her mother never cheated on him. She knows that her mother loved him but he has done too much damage. He was her example, the one she trusted the most, the one who watched over her the most. She wants to see her mother. He tells her that things aren’t about her. He is the one who makes the orders. He leaves the room locking the door behind him. Flor/Alina hits on the door screaming Papa! Open the door! Don’t leave me in here!
Thelma goes to chat with Emilio. He is cold to her. She starts off soft, asking why is he treating her like a traitor? He queries and you’re not? Thelma looses it. She starts snarling and talking rapidly about how she loves him. She has always loved him. Its not about her, it’s about their kid. Things didn’t go like she thought blah blah blah. Now we are married, not for me, but for our kid. She slows her speech down to get her last pitiful pleas in. "Emilio please stop despising me!"
Emilio has heard enough. He tells her to stop being a hypocrite; he is like they made him. He looks at her with disdain and tells her “You’re my wife right? Well now you are going to do what I want!”
Thelma asks Emilio what he wants. She tries to rub his arms as she begs that they leave Sierra Escondida. He shrugs her off, telling her that he came here to work with the army. They are not going to leave until he finishes his work. They are going to stay there.
Soledad tells Don Loco he is an assassin who killed their daughter. Alvaro looks at her confused.
Thelma wants to know how long they are going to stay there. Emilio doesn't know, besides the country life will do her good. She asks if he is making fun of her. Emilio tells her that he was talking about things lightly but if she wants to talk seriously then he will let loose with all the hate and resentment that he has inside. Thelma cries she didn’t cheat on him, what is he talking about?! Emilio gets sarcastic with her saying Oh yes?! Then what do I call you when you took advantage of a man on the edge of death? You manipulated everyone to celebrate a marriage. She pleads but I love you! I love you!
Emilio doesn't have compassion for her. He asks her with what right do you have to lie?! Do you think I am going to believe in your love? I will never believe you!
Don Loco tells Soledad that Alina is alive. She tells him he lies and that she hates him. She yells at him to get out of her room assassin!
Emilio tells Thelma that she will have a husband in name only, nothing more. She can tell people whatever she wants but when they are alone they will be like two strangers. Thelma cries and screams that she has rights. Emilio doesn't care. He tells her that he will do whatever he wants.
Soledad asks the Virgencita what has she done with Alina?
Adela visits Alina/Flor. Flor tells her that she wants to leave. Adela tells her that they have to wait, they will find a way. Adela tells her that her godparents are at the hacienda. Alina/Flor is happy to hear this. She tells Adela to tell her mom that she is fine. Yes, fine, but locked in a cellar.
Marianita shows her mother a present Dr. Love gave to her. There is a knock at the door, who could it be but Dr. Love. He uses his puppet to enter the room. Marianna asks the puppet/Dr. Love how is she going to pay him back for all his attention to her daughter. Dr. Love wants her to accept a date for tonight. Marianita pleads for her mother to accept. Marianna hesitates but when Dr. Love tells her that the child can go home today, Marianna says she will go on the date.
Handsome Jose is told by Felicia’s mean brother that he has to load more bags on a truck if he wants to eat. Jacinto has found out that Jose has been messing around with his hot sister. Jacinto wants Jose to stop seeing her and to know that Felicia is not to mess around with. Jose tells Jacinto not to threaten him, besides they (Jose and Felicia) have decided not to see each other anymore. Jacinto is pissed to hear Jose use the words they decided. It seems that Felicia doesn't know “they” decided that. Jacinto doesn't want Jose to hurt her. He wants Jose to stop what he started with her. If Jose doesn't, Jacinto will kill him. Nice.
Don Loco thinks to himself that if Soledad continues like she is she will die. He has to save her. He wonders how he will bring Alina to Soledad without Blanca knowing.
Orlando and Emilio talk about the construction, plus the guys want to know how Emilio is doing. Emilio tells Orlando that he wants to have a reception for all the guys. Orlando suggests he be in charge. He tells Emilio that tomorrow the Rinconada will have music, women and wine!
Blanca tells Soledad that Elias can’t get to town because of work, but she Blanca can. She will look in San Mateo for Alina. Don Loco walks in. Blanca tells him that she hopes he can help Soledad react - Soledad isn’t talking as part of her ruse. Alvaro sits down and tells Soledad that she wins. He will bring Alina to her so that she can see Alina. So that she will see he isn’t an assassin.
Marlena tells Marianna to hurry up and snatch Dr. Love. Marianita needs a dad and Dr Love is hot …...
Don Loco brings Alina in to see her mother. Alvaro leaves them alone and the women hug each other. Alina starts to talk about her fears of what her father has been doing to her mother. Alvaro, though, is listening at the door. He has left the door open just a crack and lets his beady eyes follow their movement as he spies on them. Soledad begins to answer Alina then she sees what Don Loco is up to. She pretends to be her new crazy self, asking Alina if she is an angel that God sent her. Alina answers yes she is an angel. They hug and continue with this silly conversation. Every time Alina tries to talk Soledad goes into her crazy talk. Alina gets confused as Don Loco keeps listening at the door.
Thelma returns to her room and starts to tear it up. She is mad that she has to live at the Rinconada. The singing aunt asks her what is she going to do?
Alina asks why are you like this? Soledad continues with her ruse. Alina is confused. Alvaro walks in and cuts short their reunion. After Alina leaves Soledad worries that Alina will think she is crazy.
Rosita talks with Adela in the kitchen. Rosita wants to know what's going on with Flor. Adela tells Rosita how Alvaro followed Alina, how he brought her back to the hacienda by force and now has her locked in the basement. Rosita is shocked; she wants God to give Alvaro the punishment he deserves for doing this to Alina. They talk how no one will help Alina as long as Alvaro has so much power over everyone.
Gaspar doesn't want to eat. He wants to see his muñequita, but he knows Luba wants him to leave her alone. Nora enters the cave bearing sweet potatoes. Luba tries to tempt him with the food but he tells her he isn’t hungry. He gets up from his mat on the floor and leaves the cave. Luba explains what is going on with Gaspar to Nora. Nora tells Luba that Alina is locked up in the basement of the hacienda.
Elias fills Blanca in on what Alvaro did, shooting Emilio. Blanca is shocked that Alvaro isn’t in jail for committing such an offense. Elias tells her that he understands what Alvaro is capable of doing. Blanca hopes that Alvaro doesn't find Alina.
Alina worries to herself. Adela enters asking why she isn’t happy after seeing her mother. Alina asks her why she didn’t tell her that her mother is crazy. Adela fills her in on Soledads plan.
Thelma cries/whines to Don Max about being nervous about Gaspar. She tells him that Gaspar thinks she is different person, she is afraid. She wants Don Max to help her; Gaspar has an obsession with her. She wants someone to teach Gaspar a lesson. Don Max says he might know someone. He will make sure Gaspar doesn’t bother her again.
Coral gets a visit from Emilio. He wants to take a walk with her, show her La Rinconada. She asks if it’s risky. He tells her not to worry.
Thelma and the aunt are by the fountain of La Rinconada. They talk about the aunts’ attraction to Max. Thelma scolds her aunt. She doesnt want her aunt flirting with Maximo. They see Emilio walking with Coral. Thelma gives Coral the evil eye. The aunt taunts you can’t let him do this?! Thelma tells her that she not only has to get rid of Flor but she will have to get rid of this one too. The aunt asks your not thinking of…. killing her? Thelma answers that the dead don’t disturb.
Angel goes to the cave to see Flor. Luba tells him that Don Loco has her at his hacienda, locked in the basement.
Alina talks to herself about how sad it is that her mother has to act like she is crazy. Alina talks to herself how she would like to leave there. She sees a window, grabs a book, steps on a chair and uses the book to break a window. Her attempt at breaking the window causes her to fall. She passes out.
Orlando and Emilio talk business. Emilio learns that Elias is there for the highway construction.
Coral gets a visit from Thelma who demands that she leave.
Angel walks around the house in his trendy hip jeans outfit with leather bracelets on his wrists. Angel finds a gun in a drawer of Emilio’s room. Emilio walks in. Angel tells him that he is going to save Flor. He tells Emilio to not get near him. He is going to save Flor from Emilio.
Emilio asks Angel if he is" going to defend Flor from me? You’re going to confront your brother for someone who cheated me?! She’s a traitor!" Angel yells that Flor is not a traitor. He warns Emilio that Emilio isn’t going to prevent him from saving Flor.
You can’t demand that I do anything! I’m here as a guest of the owner of the Rinconada! So says Coral to Thelma as their cat fight heats up. Thelma laughs telling Coral not to be silly, she is there as the lover of her husband, not as a guest. Thelma asks if they know each other, didn’t they meet at the Devils Cave? Coral laughs telling Thelma she is glad that Thelma recognizes her; she on the other hand quickly forgot Thelma. Undeterred Thelma tells Coral to get out, it’s her house. If Coral doesn't she will regret it. Thelma leaves and Coral celebrates her win by applying lipstick.
Emilio tells Angel that he is not going to let him take the pistol to confront Alvaro Montellano. Angel tells his brother that he knows how to defend himself, with his coughs. Emilio reasons that Montellano could hurt Angel. Angel saw what Montellano did to him; Montellano tried to kill him. Emilio tells Angel he can go but without the gun. Angel takes this news bad. He starts to have an attack; he is short of breath like he has just run a marathon. He doubles over as he thinks about what he is going to do. He finally gives Emilio the gun telling Emilio that he doesn't need him. He can defend Flor without a gun. Cough Cough. Poor Angel is having a hard time breathing but he manages to flounce out of the room.
Orlando comes in to Emilio’s room asking what's up with Angel. Emilio tells him to go with Angel because Angel wants to defend Flor from Don Loco. Orlando is a little confused until he hears that Don Loco has kidnapped Flor. Now he wants to go save Flor too!
Emilio thinks to himself how both of those are in love with Flor. Those two are both in love with her. Actually, he corrects himself, those three love Flor because he too cant forget her. He thinks about what damn luck he has that he cant find the strength to confront Montellano.
Adela comforts Alina. She is fine but she did suffer a big hit to the head in her fall. She tells Adela that she has realized that she is going to stay there as long as that man wants.
Angel, on horse back on a dark country road, rides through the night to save Flor. His horse, Cuervo, freaks out once again and throws him off. As he rolls in the dirt road grimacing in pain, Orlando rides up. Angel wants Orlando to take him to the Montellano’s hacienda. Orlando tells him no! It’s best that Angel return to the Rinconada. He, Orlando, will go and talk with Don Loco. Orlando picks Angel up and they both ride on the same horse back to the hacienda.
Nora comes into the basement bearing a tray of food for Alina. Alina knocks the tray out of pretty girls hands and escapes. Nora worries what she will tell the patrón.
Soledad tells Blanca about how Alina thinks she is crazy. She couldn’t tell Alina she wasn’t or Don Loco would hear. Blanca tells her that she and Elias are planning something to save them. Soledad argues that she is not important. She is used to Don Loco’s bad treatment. It’s Alina who needs to be saved; she needs to be free and happy. Soledad tells Blanca that her “poor daughter has suffered so much.” Soledad can never forgive Don Loco, even though she feels sorry for him, he is sick. He is completely crazy.
Don Loco tells Sergio that he’s crazy to be doing what he is doing. Crazy. He admits to being afraid of the hate he feels for Soledad and her daughter. The hate he feels for the years of betrayal. Blah Blah Blah. Nora enters the room to tell Don Loco that Flor escaped. Don Loco sends Sergio after her. He fumes how that girl is provoking him.
Luba yells at a sleeping Gaspar for doing nothing all day. Gaspar whines that Luba doesn't believe him that the woman at the Rinconada is the same as the one from the devils cave. Forget that woman Gaspar Luba yells. He tells Luba that he can’t forget her! He whines that he loves her as he leaves the cave. Luba cries and worries about where he is going. She worries that they (they who?) will kill Gaspar. She falls to the floor of her altar pleading to the Virgin to protect him.
Alina runs through a yard in her red skirt and high heels. She hides in the bushes as Sergio, on a horse, stops near where she is. He doesn't see her and rides on. Alina/Flor comes out of her hidy spot and continues running.
Orlando carries Angel into the house and places him on the bed. Emilio wants to know what happened. Angel whines that he is not capable of saving anyone. Orlando pipes up that he will go to save Flor from the crazy Montellano. Emilio tells him to wait, he will go. He and Don Loco have a pending business.

La Fea Más Bella #216 2/21/07 A Brand New Day, Unibomber sighted in the DF, Aldo conquers his final foe Don E
OK IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S A NEW DAY FINALLY!!!!! YIPPPEEEEEE!!!!
Aldo is walking in jogging clothes in the park recalling his and Lety’s kiss in the ocean and hoping he’s get to hold her again. Enter the pastel Unibomber. Now here’s an improvement over the wardrobe that lasted two weeks. L She apologizes for being late and tells him she saw Fer outside her window and begs him to help he forget. Lety starts running like loco. Aldo stops her and wonders what is the problem he tells her she has to just get him out of her head. He not the man you thought he was. If you don’t you’ll never get over this pain. She thanks him for his compassion. He almost mocks her and asks her if she thinks he’s doing this because of compassion and she says of course, you are always so compassionate with me and then Lety decides to invite Aldo back to her house for breakfast.
He says ok, but wait, he lost what he was carrying for her and he freaks out looking for it. Lety discourages him from looking any further because they eat at a specific time and her Dad will be mad if she doesn’t show up on time. He wants to look, she wants to go. Look...go…look…go…go. He proclaims that is what signified his love for her so he has to find it. Alas, he doesn’t. Is this a sign?
At Conceptos a new day has dawned finally. But Celso who seems to work 24/7 is sleeping at reception with Sanson. Can you blame him? Fer asks Sanson to wake him up. Fern startles him. They exchanged words about how secure the building is from his vigilance. Fer tells the dog to take care, and for them not to fall asleep on their jobs.
Fer then goes into Lety’s office he makes fun of her Caracolon Erotica and her “Zen” garden.
Back at the house, Juli is excited to see Aldo again and Aldo is getting excited to eat Julieta’s cooking. He picks some smells out of the air and says they smell like the flavor of life. He is enchanted with the house and family. Juli is flattered but lets Lety know they might have a problem named Robopop. He was already mad that she went running so early by herself and he surely won’t be happy to meet Aldo. Sure enough he waltzes in wondering where the woman of dawn went and gives Aldo the thrice over. He wants to know who this man is.
Fer, still in Lety’s office, calls Omar who is still sleeping and says he’s crazy for being in the president’s office at this hour and besides remember he’s not the president anymore. Fer asks him why Aldo gave her a Caracolon and Omar says let me guess, he couldn’t find a seahorse. Omar wants to know why he’s there this early and he says he couldn’t sleep all night and I wanted to leave before Marci woke up because he can’t stand being with her and in her room etc. [Why won’t he just leave her alone then!!!!!!!!!!]
Fer tells Omar that Aldo went out with Oxi. Omar is impactado. Fer says it’s in bad taste to paint shells and that he saw Aldo leave in a taxi with Alibubis. Omar says he told him so but Fer never believes that he has the mouth of a prophet. Ok kids, remember to add that to his short list of attributes. He says, poor Aldo, because he doesn’t know what he’s getting into with her. Fer says he can’t stand this jealousy and he’s annoyed and asphyxiated with it. Omar tells him he better get over it because they need to go to the restaurant association and he needs to be bright eyed and bushy tailed etc.
Back at Casa Padilla Erasmo begins his interrogation, for one, because it’s not proper visiting hours that early. Julieta introduces him and Aldo manages to charm Don Erasmo as well by breaking out that existential stuff. He asks Robo when was the last time he watched the dawn. Aldo says if it only came once a year every human being would set his or her alarms to get up to see it. Robo reminds him that essentially Lety was raised with family values.
Tomas is walking and muttering to himself recalling seeing Ali with Aldo and he kicks a can to the crazy gods and it doesn’t come down for a bit.
Fer walks over to deface the painting with what looks like a green pen. He seems to draw all over it, but I think he was pretending. Instead he gets some on the wall and has to rub it off. Fern in his jealous rage calmly turns the caracolon upside down, and then makes blowing/ spitting noises at it. What was that all about?
Does it look more or less erotic now? Still evil? To me it looks less evil but more erotic.
Aldo continues to charm Erasmo by saying how much Lety talked about them and how important they are in her life etc. Erasmo starts to cave, as Al continues to describe how much he too values family. Finally “the family” sits down to eat, and Erasmo welcomes Aldo, that their home is now his home. It worked. That guy is soooo smooooth.
Tomas walks and talks cursing Alibubi’s escapade with Aldo and wondering why. He happens upon a street poster advertising a place to change his look. He curses all attractive people.
Erasmo yells at Moty for having bad manners in front of guests. Heck, for a dog they scooped off the street, I think Moty does pretty darn good. Have you understood that I like Moty?!!!
Aldo praises the food. And Erasmo says they know this stuff because they are Pueblan. Aldo knows that, because Lety has indicated how proud she was to be from Puebla. Lety says Aldo knows of what he speaks because he’s a chef. Erasmo is shocked that a cook could not be a woman. Lety says, you know the best chefs in the world are males. Yeah, take that Erasmo, men are not automatically born with a gene that keeps them from being able to cook. YOU SHOULD TRY IT SOMETIME ERASMO!!!!!!
The door bell rings it must be Tomas, he greets everyone, then, uhoh, he’s ripe with rancor for Aldo.
Omar and Fernando are now awaiting the meeting at the Restaurant association and Fer continues to kvetch about Aldo. Omar reminds him of the 2 million he’s getting them. Fer goes on about Aldo being an idiot and that he doesn’t like him, etc. Just then Aldo walks up in another hip blazer and surprises them. They change their tune and greet him enthusiastically.
The cuartel is out front of Conceptos now also finally in different clothing and Irma is glad that they are all punctual after being kept awake so late the night before (in the bar) so they don’t get in trouble and they babble on about that. Lety then drives up in her new putt putt mobile and the cuartel is impactada and PM, most of all, gets all excited for her; cheering her. They all contemplate what they might be able to do with a car. Sara thinks somewhat sarcastically that it would be a burden, all the traffic, etc.. Lety confirms the car isn’t a boyfriend’s and not for the president, but is for her because she paid for it with her salary.
Alicia is back on the microbus and she falls asleep on her neighbor. Of course she insults the passengers and beats the driver up to stop, and then again realizes she wants to go backwards a little bit to avoid the cuartel. The driver offers to give her a hand getting down but she refuses, saying it would be dirty, and she’s glad he’s finally opening the door because it started to look like he was taking her home. He said he would take her home but to do things she doesn’t know how to do, wash, clean, cook etc. Ja Ja, she calls them nacos and pigs, etc. as she disembarks.
She then exchanges insults with the cuartel while they are admiring the car. Lety then tells the cuartel she needs to talk to them about their bathroom conversations because Marcia is walking around thinking something about her. They decide to go in, but not before Marta begs Celso to buy her some snacks.
Tomas 007 is behind the plants moving again, spying on Ali I guess.
Over at the ARM the bobsy twins are still trying to cover about anything Aldo might have overheard, and that they do like him, to which he replies he’s glad he likes them too. Everyone is introduced when Gui arrives and wow, we finally get to see new people on the set!!!! But, they are representatives from the government's publicity board. [I guess they are going to have a say in how the project promotes the foreign gastronomical tourism.]
Alibubis is kissing a picture of Aldo saying she’s getting married. Lety and the cuartel pass through and Lety invites the cuartel into the meeting room. They make like it’s a privilege to go into the meeting room of the presidency in front of Oxi.
Tomas shows up to Ali still incognito and begs her to come to his office. She wonders why he’s dressed so funny and says to herself that she hopes he doesn’t give her another pair of stockings because she’ll make him wear them himself and they will go very well with his ridiculous outfits.
Lety tells the cuartel that Marcia is going around thinking Lety broke up their wedding. She wants to know how they came upon such gossip. They try to blow it off that Mar heard wrong but Lety says Marci is not the kind of woman to make such a thing up and she presses them harder. Marta says the Edicion. Lety says no, I know it wouldn’t be from there, Gina is my friend anyway.
When Lety realizes she’s getting nowhere, she patronizes them and makes like she’s going to get up. Irma tells her if she’s not satisfied with the answer she got, she should just say so and demand to know once and for all what’s going on.
With the set of the ARM they finally got closer to the idea of a camera friendly table position, at least in this meeting they are using ¾ of the available space. The group begins talking about the project and Gui asks for Aldo to explain his concept. Before he can start jealous Fer interrupts and starts telling them about how Conceptos will be in charge and what ideas they have to spread the word. Gui then interrupts him saying before we get to the mediums and methods, he’d like Aldo to explain more about the concepts and ideas. Aldo says the usual about the Flavor of Life and Fer mocks him in a high baby voice. Wonderfully professional, not, but funny as hell!!

Mundo -- Wednesday 2/21 Meet Leo, "the ever-ready bunny"
*Joz goes to see Gabe in his office, he's short with her... she reminds him they have a child in common... he says "anything else?"... she says no and leaves...
*Meanwhile, MA's been chatting with Diana about the whole situation with Dam pretending to be Gabe... Diana says she totally understands. They chat about what women feel when men cheat on them. MA tells her how horrible she felt when she saw Dam pretending to be Gabe and kissin-up Joz... MA says she recognizes her mistake in not trusting Gabe and how he's now distant and cold... she doesn't blame him for it.
*Back at the hospital Leo is injecting something into Regina's IV, who is whining and whimpering... Pau and Ti come in and Leo tells them to get out... they resist but Dolores scoots them out... Pau whimpers and they both leave. Reg whimpers that she's in pain... Leo cradles her face telling her to be calm...
*Nic gives MA a magazine telling her she has great review in it and he congratulates her on her achievements and leaves. The magazine has her on the cover and it's called Éxito (success). She looks sad and pensive...
*In Dam's office he receives a phone call about Regina's condition... Ti tells him Regina has turned for the worse... he yells no, no and "runs" out of the office...
*Joz visits MA in her office and says to MA that she imagines that MA feels like she's on cloud nine. MA smiles fakely and says yes, she's quite proud of herself and what's more, she is all the more proud cuz she didn't have to connive her way to the top... Joz smiles fakely and struts out of the office...
*Ti is in the waiting room when Dam comes in and grabs him by the collar and shakes him asking what is happening!?! Ti informs him that Reg had a heart attack but the docs are stabilizing her... Dam runs down the hospital corridor yelling, "Regina, Regina!"
*Pau calls Gabe to let him know about Reg... he leaves right away, MA walks in and runs out the door with him.
*Dam, leaning over Regina's sleeping body, cries "you are the most important to me..." blah, blah... and yells "por que, por que." The nurse tries to calm him but he's having none of it. He yells at her and she walks away. He exclaims that Regina can't leave him alone...
*The nurse has returned with Leo, always a few feet away, and a couple of hospital henchmen... who attempt to cart him away... it's not an easy task for the henchmen, to say the least... Dam swings them all around the room but they are eventually successful and drag him off while he yells, "suelte me."
*Regina looks catatonic...
*At Miriams designery, or whatever its called, she's telling Joz that she told her not to do that stupid trick on MA with Dam... the phone rings... It's Karen letting Mir know she can't make it to work cuz Reg is having big troubles... Mir tells her she belongs with her family and what happens to Regina means nothing to her. Kar tells her she's sorry but she's staying at the hospital then hangs up. Joz asks what's up and Mir lets her know about Regina and Karen staying at the hospital instead of coming into work. Joz decides to go to the hospital... (big surprise). Mir says she's making a mistake and cannot count on her (Mir) for help. Joz glares at her.
*Gabe and MA reach the hospital and Karen tells them Leo is tending Reg. Also, no one is to tell JC what is happening... Gabe ruminates that Dam is capable of anything...
*Dol tries to stop Dam out in the hospital hallway... he screams about how this is all JC's fault... Dol tries to stop him from going further... Gabe comes into the scene and Dam tells him to mind his own business... Dam and Gabe and Dol go back and forth about how they aren't going to let him in to see JC...
*In JC's room Pau hears them outside as JC sleeps... JC wakes up and they both hear Dam and Gabe fighting outside the room... JC tries to go see what is happening and Pau stops him.
*In the hallway Gabe tries to talk Dam into being calm. Dam accuses Gabe of being at fault for what is happening to Regina. (Where did Dol go?) Leo comes into the scene telling them to calm down... Dam grabs Leo by the collar and blames him for Regina's condition. He tells him that if
something happens to Reg he (Leo) is going to pay... Pau runs into the scene telling Dam to calm down, Dam tells her to shut up. Dam says they are all to blame, he was against this even if it meant JC had died. Pau is flabbergasted and says, "he's you own son!" Dam reveals that it doesn't matter, the only thing that matters to him is Regina. Leo hopes God forgives him... Dam says if they are such believers to go pray for Regina but no one is going to calm his anger. My closed captioning says someone said "AH!"
*Diana gets off the phone saying she's on her way... and tells Ingrid that Regina has turned for the worse... Else is very pensive... Ingrid says since she came back from her honeymoon it seems like she doesn't care about anything and ruminates about how a woman in love is supposed to be... Else thinks getting married was a mistake.
*At the hospital Gabe tells MA that Dam is like a wounded wild animal. Joz waltzes in asking how Regina is... MA rolls her eyes... MA asks her if she hasn't already caused enough harm... Dam tries to calm everyone down...says they'll all talk about this later... Joz slinks off.
*JC asks Pau what is happening as she comes back in from Dam's tantrum... she says it's just an argument about the constructoria, as always...
*Karen laments about what is happening to Regina and how it affects JC and Pau... Rog is surprised to hear her talk that way. She says she wants to change and not live an empty life... I couldn't tell if Rog was touched or sickened by her feelings...
*Dolores attends Regina... Reg says her time is up and she asks Dol to care for JC.. She says she's not suffering because she's done this for her son. Dol begs her to fight for her life, but swears she's be there for JC all the while saying she (Reg) is going to be fine. Reg asks to see MA and Gabe...
(I think this is going to be one of those long final speeches...) Dol goes to get them... Reg sobs.
*JC knows something is up... he demands Pau to tell him what's up...
*Gabe and MA walk in to visit Regina... Reg starts with the deep gasping breaths... she lets them know her life has been full and asks them not to let anything like anger or envy get in the way of their happiness. They all hold hands... she tells them to be happy and fight, fight.
*Ti walks up to Dol who is outside of Regina's door... he asks why she's crying and she tells him that Reg is leaving them. He's surprised Reg is that bad off. He's surprised she gave her life for someone else. Dol goes off on how that's what Mom's do for their kids and she'd do the same for him...
blah, blah... They look lovingly at each other, Ti grunts a few times then yells mamá, mamá, mamá, mamá, mamá, mamá as he squeezes the living heck out of her, then starts to sob uncontrollably. (Wow!) Then asks for her forgiveness and rushes off. Dol sobs.
*Somehow Pau has made it into Regina's room with Gabe and MA's gone. Reg tells her this is goodbye. All I can say is she MUST be dying for all the long winded goodbye speeches she's making to everyone. She tells Pau to take care of JC. Reg and Pau sob together. Regina goes into some sort of spasm or something and Gabe runs for the doctor.
*Dam stomps into JC's room and lets him know that his mother is dying and it's all his fault.
*Regina has kinda come around but the look on her face is like, well, she's all red and her eyes are about to pop out of her head. She looks more like she should be in a horror movie than a novela... I know that's mean but good grief she looks horrible!
*Leo, the ever-ready bunny, comes running in the room... both Regina and Pau are gasping, it's like, gasping in stereo!
*Reg tells Leo not to work too hard cuz it's over for her... he wants to take her somewhere but she refuses, convinced that her time has come. She begs him to let her say her goodbye's. He's looking convinced when several people make their way into the room, it's Candy, Dol and MA, oh, and the priest, then JC. She looks terrorized but I think she's actually trying to look immensely sad... JC stagers and coughs his way to her bed...
*JC says it's his fault she's dying... she says no... he has an obligation to God and to life... her grandchild needs him.... She tells him to raise his son to be a good man like him. They cry at each other... She asks God to help her accept that she won't be at his side anymore.... then she gasps several times with her eyes wide... the camera flashes briefly to the Priest... she tells JC she'll be waiting for him and that his happiness is all she asks. Then she passes out; the sound of the hart monitor goes flat.
*JC caresses her head and cries telling her to go in peace... The Priest prays over her while JC sobs... Dam enters pushes JC onto the floor and screams Regina, Regina Regina...
*Dam demands that everyone gets out. He accuses JC of killing her... He pushes half the people out... then Dam & Pau help JC out of the room. Dam sobs and kisses Regina's hand... he screams, "AHHHH!"
*JC is helped into bed by Leo and Gabe. He is saddened by his father and despondent over his mother...
*Meanwhile, Dam is also despondent and blaming JC for her death as he caresses her hand. He says she's not dead, just sleeping... and seems to be loosing his mind.
*Gabe knocks on the door, jiggling the handle telling him to let him in... but Dam seems not to hear anything and continues caressing Regina's dead hand... ew! and sad...

Duelo de Pasiones, Tuesday 2/20 - In which Don Loco and Thelma should be locked in a room with riding crops. Who would win?
Emilio tells Orlando that when he went to look for Flor he was horrified to find Thelma instead, and Thelma told him that she married him in "articulo de muerte" (on the deathbed). In reality it was an "articulo de traición," an article of betrayal, a betrayal by Orlando, Thelma, Flor, by all of them. Orlando says Emilio is disrespecting Thelma, she is carrying his child. Emilio insists that Thelma was always interested in him but their relationship was never serious. She is using the child to ensnare him because she couldn't get him on her own. Maybe she's not lying about the child but he wishes it could be different. She's not the woman he wanted to marry or have a child with. The only one he has ever wanted has disappeared.
Sergio takes Don Loco (who is wearing a cowboy-shaped rain cap over his cowboy hat) to the bog where Flor was trapped. Don Loco thinks Flor has perished so he slugs Sergio and aims his pistol at him. Sergio begs for his life and sinks to his knees where he sees footprints. "The idiot Gaspar must have rescued her," he says hopefully. We now see that Sergio has been holding his rifle the whole time. What a wimp. How unfortunate for us that Don Loco and Sergio didn't shoot each other when they had the chance.
Blanca, who is having a very bad hair day, tells Elias that Don Loco has hidden Alina/Flor in a cave somewhere. Blanca couldn't get more details because everybody is afraid of Don Loco. For some reason they decide Soledad is the only one who can help them find Alina and off they go. Maybe Adela can help Blanca with her hair during the visit.
Luba is cleaning cobwebs off the ceiling of the cave with a big stick when a furious Don Loco enters, whacks her with his riding crop and demands to know how Flor could have escaped yet again. Thanks to Gaspar helping her escape she has fallen into the bog and can't be found. Luba is impactada.
Don Loco says if some animal has eaten Flor then Luba will be responsible. Why? Because Luba is a stupid idiot. He makes a crashing exit, knocking over all her shelves on his way out. "Alvaro Montellano," she vows," you're going to pay, someday you're going to pay and I'm going to kill you! Oops...sorry about that Virgencita," she says to her shrine, "but that jerk just busted all my stuff!"
Filthy Flor wanders by a river and splashes a few drops of water on herself. She has to clean herself and search for Doña Carmen.
Orlando tells Emilio not to blame Flor. He doesn't know for sure if Thelma paid Flor off, nobody heard what was said between them. Flor was helping him. They would be married if Alvaro hadn't arrived. Emilio doesn't seem to hold a grudge against Alvaro although he is the one who injured Emilio and stopped the wedding. That man really seems to hate Flor. They go on with the same old conversation they always have, Emilio steeped in self-pity and Orlando working all the angles. Emilio says he will return to being the Emilio Valtierra from before, whatever that means. Somehow I don't think it means an improved Emilio. Maybe he will be the singing Emilio.
There is a knock on Soledad's door. Blanca enters. I'm confused, I thought Soledad was locked in. Oh right, the kidnapped walk freely, never mind. Blanca's hair looks better! Her whole face looks better. Adela must have attacked her with a curling iron and makeup bag on her way upstairs. Blanca says Elias is downstairs, she told him everything. They want to know exactly where Alina is. Soledad says they should ask Adela. They must be very careful or Don Loco will suspect her "madness" is feigned. Oh, I just thought of something, of course Blanca got spiffed up because she's visiting her hubbie's old flame. NOW I get it.
Elias paces downstairs. Don Loco enters and is surprised to see him. Don Loco looks angry but Elias throws him off by thanking him for his hospitality to Blanca. Blanca told him about Soledad's unfortunate mental illness. "Yeah, too bad about that," says Don Loco," you can't see her, she won't recognize you. Tell me all about the work you are doing on the highway."
Luba has been busy; the cave is tidied up after hurricane Alvaro blew through. When Gaspar gets back to the cave Luba sees his dirty knees and asks what happened, where's Flor? Gaspar says he rescued her from the bog and she's on her way to San Mateo. Donkey is outside pining for her and Gaspar is sad too. Luba says she is also sad, she'll miss Flor but at last she'll be free. She holds Gaspar's head and says, "Son, I hope one day you and I will also be free."
A slightly cleaner Flor shows up at Carmen's restaurant. "Don't you recognize me? I am Alina Montellano," she tells a stunned Carmen. We don't know if Carmen is stunned to see Alina or stunned to see a smelly bog woman in her cafe.
Santos is happy. He got a job with the new highway, will make lots of money, and can take Rosita way from the odious Don max. They share a mutual hate-fest over Don Max. Santos says Flor will be sure to find his mom in San Mateo, everybody knows Doña Carmen Garcia.
Carmen is glad to see Alina/Flor but wonders how she got all the way to the puebla. Alina asks if she can telephone her godparents. The phone rings three times and Alina hangs up, there is no answer. Carmen suggests that Flor go to her house to clean up. You can't blame her for not wanting swamp girl in her cute little cafe.
Adela is afraid to show Blanca where Luba's cave is. Hell, Adela is afraid of frigging everything. Next scene.
Elias is in Don Loco's office. Elias tells Don Loco how great the new road will be, it will provide jobs plus people can actually get from point A to point B and back again. Don Loco argues against it, the highway will bring problems, he doesn't agree with the ridiculous notion of progress, and he doesn't like outsiders meddling in his business. Elias counters, "Why worry? There is nothing to hide in Sierra Escondido...or is there????" Don Loco scowls. Elias chuckles and raises his eyebrow. Elias = 1, Don Loco = 0.
Central America - Felicia, she of the busting out boobs and bubble butt, is taking food to Jose. Her brother, boss of the drug runners is very irritated by this. He doesn't want her hanging around with "those types." We don't know what type he means exactly, stupid? honest? stud-muffin? Felicia says she'll like whom she wants and she likes Jose, and just to be clear, she was his woman. (Did the nasty I think she means.) "Damn it," curses the brother, "how dare he!?!"
Don Loco is threatening Elias about the highway when Blanca enters and says Soledad is doing very badly. Don Loco runs out and Blanca tells Elias it is a ruse, they need to go right away.
Doña Loco is acting loca, yelling for her daughter, yelling a lot. Don Loco tells her to calm down, just a little while ago Soledad told him Alina was in her cradle and that's where she is. Doña Loco messes with his head, "Her cradle? But I thought she was a young girl?" Don Loco looks confounded. "Stay with me," she coos, laying her head on his shoulder. It's fun watching Soledad try to out-loco Don Loco.
Alina and Carmen are in the comandante's office. Alina must have borrowed some clothes from Carmen; she is wearing a fetching red skirt, white peasant blouse, and red wedge sandals. She tells the comandante she is the daughter of Alvaro Montellano. She has come to denounce her father for treating her badly and kidnapping her mother. The comandante needs to go to Sierra Escondido and arrest him please.
The comandante asks if she can prove the allegations. Alina says yes, there are many people who will testify against him. The comandante asks why no one has come forward before. "Because they are all afraid of him," she answers, without explaining why they would now be unafraid and would testify. The comandante says he will gather his men and go arrest Alvaro.
Sergio returns just as Adela is trying to sneak out to help Elias and Blanca. He says she has to stay there because he and the patron have to rush to San Mateo.
Don Loco is in the house yelling for Adela. Sergio arrives and says he is sure Alina is alive. They feel certain she has gone to town and they are going to find her.
Adela gives Elias directions to Luba's cave. I notice there is no warning about the whirlpool, I wonder if this will be a problem? Adela says the patron is in a hurry to go to town. Elias is suspicious about the reason. Blanca is to remain with Soledad while he searches for the cave.
Thelma is in bed. She isn't feeling better because she has a pain in her soul (what soul?) and Emilio hates her. She cries and says she will do everything she can to make him love her. She will be affectionate and understanding, she will be the woman he has always dreamed of having. I'm thinking...NOT!
Don Max has a surprise for Emilio, it's Coralita. Emilio seems genuinely happy to see Coral and takes her hand. Don Max cackles lasciviously and leaves them alone. Coral tells Emilio he looks much better. Emilio replies "don't let looks fool you, I'm worse than ever."
There is a full moon over Edelmira's joint. Edelmiro and Granillo are waiting for Coral and they aren't the only ones. The creep Jeremias is also waiting. Granillo doesn't like him (no kidding, dressed as a woman he beat the crap out of him just last week) and calls him ugly and stinky. Edelmira reminds Granillo that Jeremias is rolling in dough, he's the only store owner in the area. Jeremias fans himself with his wad of cash, possibly not the wisest thing to do in a sleazy strip joint.
Hoorah! Elias has made it to Luba's cave without falling into the whirlpool. Luba sneaks up behind him and puts her big old knife to his throat. She demands to know who he is and what he wants. Elias manages to convince her that he is there to help Alina. Luba says Alina is no longer there, she escaped and went to town. Elias is worried, he says that must be why Alvaro was in such a panic to get to town. Luba is impactada, her eyes dart around wildly.
Carmen's House - Alina tells Carmen that she is worried about her mother. Suddenly there is an official-sounding knock on the door. It is the comandante...followed by Don Loco! "At last I have found you," he says to a shocked Alina.
Don Loco and Alina argue about whether or not she is his daughter and whether or not her name is Flor or Alina. Same old same old. He says Soledad is very sick and Flor should return home with him. If she doesn't then he'll tell her mother that Flor doesn't want to see her.
Luba viciously stabs another hole in her table and tells Elias to sit down. She asks him why he's so nervous. (Uh, maybe because you held a knife to his throat and then jabbed it into the dining room table?) But no, Elias says it's because Don Loco may have gone to San Mateo to recapture Alina. Luba says, "poor Flor." "Who's Flor?" asks Elias.
Luba fills him in on Sierra Escondido's dirty little secret. Aha! That explains why nobody answered him when he asked about Alina! Elias snarls, grabs the knife and HE stabs the table.
Luba gets pissed. Only she is allowed to stab her table! She pulls out the knife and brandishes it at Elias, "Ehhhh??? NO!!" Elias wisely moves around behind the chair. Luba continues, "The patron is a fiera and nobody can calm him. He took a shot at Emilio Valtierra when he tried to marry Flor." Elias is impactado,"Emilio? The owner of La Rinconada? Tell me all about it." These two could be dangerous together.
Carmel tells Alina to stay with her in San Mateo. Don Loco says shut up, her name is Flor. Of course FlorAlina folds and decides to go home with Don Loco. Her freedom was brief but at least she got a new skirt, blouse, shoes and sweater out of the deal.
Angel tells Emilio that he should talk to Thelma. Emilio refuses. Rebeca the singing aunt tries to talk to Emilio about his wife. "My wife," he scoffs! Rebeca says yes, Thelma is his wife and is carrying his child. She is crying uncontrollably and in her condition it could be fatal. I'm surprised even the self-absorbed Emilio didn't laugh at that one. Rebeca gets nowhere and Emilio ushers her out of his room.
Don Loco pays off the comandante who says he and his men will keep an eye out in case Flor tries to cause trouble again. As Flor sadly gets on her horse Don Loco recalls when Alina was young, he was teaching her to ride. "Ah Alina, how I loved you, why aren't you my daughter? I adored you," he thought bubbles.
Luba and Elias compare notes and figure out that Don Loco has headed to San Mateo to look for Alina who has gone to San Mateo to call Elias and Blanca. Elias says if she doesn't return he'll go looking for her.
God help us, Emilio is STILL in his room having flashbacks of Flor. Now it's Angel's turn to visit. He says he's feeling better and intends to leave in a few days, he wants to see Flor. Emilio says he prohibits it. Angel says he'll do what he wants and Emilio can prohibit nothing. Angel says Flor is a good woman and he could give her everything. Emilio is impactado. heh heh
The comandante tells Carmen not to flap her yap about this FlorAlina business or her son Santos will pay the price.
It is nighttime and the road from San Mateo to Sierra Escondido is dangerous so Flor gets to spend the night in a hotel while Sergio and Don Loco stand guard outside.
Thelma has a fantasy that she drags Flor out into the great room by her hair. She throws Flor to the ground and violently whips her again and again with a riding crop. It was very convincing and the actress that plays Thelma now scares the heck out of me. Back in reality, Thelma has a crop in her hand and it bears her monogram. She says if Flor gets in the way of Emilio loving her she will have to kill her.
Auntie Rebeca enters and asks Thelma where she got the crop. Thelma says she got it when she was learning to ride. Auntie is concerned about Thelma riding in her condition. Thelma says of course she's not riding. Now she's going to use the whip to punish anyone who gets in her way. "You're crazy," auntie says, " you're not thinking of..." Thelma says yes, she would love to undo the face of that stupid Flor with this whip of hers. "You're crazy, crazy," Rebeca repeats over and over as she rushes out of the room.
Elias comes to Soledad's room where Soledad, Blanca and Adela are waiting. He tells them that Alina left the cave for San Mateo. "No Puede Ser!" the ladies exclaim, "Alvaro went to San Mateo!" All they can do is pray that Alvaro doesn't find her.
Alvaro talks to Sergio outside Alina's window. He asks Sergio what if he is wrong about Alina not being his daughter? What if Soledad didn't betray him with that foreman? But then he recalls shooting at Jose and Jose vowing to return for his daughter. Yes, Flor must be Jose's daughter.
Flor listens as Don Loco says he loved her more than life, when she was born he held her in his arms as if she were a part of him, he was full of pride for his daughter, but NO, he CAN'T love the child of another man, he must forget her. FlorAlina cries. Don Loco weeps as if he were the victim instead of an insane incarnation of satan. Flor prays to the Virgencita that her papa isn't bad. (What????) She sniffles on, he is tortured, he has a sickness, help him Virgencita, help him to see the truth.
Meanwhile Emilio asks the air "Flor, where could you be? My brother loves you so even though I was ready to dump you I now have renewed interest in you. I love you when I should hate you. God help me to forget her, I must forget her."
Advance for tomorrow: To the tune of Ase's Death Flor insists to Don Loco that she is his daughter and he knows it. She loves her papito. He is the person she most admired and looked up to, the person she looked to for care and protection. Don Loco weeps, but will he succumb? We're not holding our breath.

Mundo de Fieras: 2/20/07 "Chickens Coming Home To Roost"
Dolores runs into Gabe in the hospital lounge and mentions to him that Mariangela has returned. He lets out one gi-normous sigh.
Mariangela is visiting with Candy in the old neighborhood again. Candy asks her why she doesn't stop putting things off and just confront Gabe and discuss whatever it is that's come between them. After all, she tells her, "You love him. Don't be so bitter about things." Mariangela thinks about facing up to her fears.
Rogelio with the same kind of confused look as his daddy's (like father like son) thinks back to what El Coyote was telling him. He wonders if Coyote was hinting that Demian had killed his mistress, Raquel.
Mariangela returns to the manse and runs into Jos in the hallway. Jos suggests she go ahead and sell her part of the house and leave already, because there isn't room for the two of them either in the house or in the construction company. Mariangela tells her that just like she told Miriam, she has no intention of selling. Jos says if she insists in their confronting one another there'll only be one ending: one of them will lose and only one will win. Mariangela tells her then she, and not Jos, will win the battle .
Gabe comes over to see Mariangela to ask why she left without saying good-bye. She tells him not to touch her or to even come near her. "What's happened to you?" he asks her. She tells him she doesn't want to see him again.
In Reggie's room Damian cries at his wife's bedside while waiting for her to regain consciousness. He tells her he doesn't know what he would do if he ever lost her. (What is he talking about? This guy is still fooling around with every woman who even blinks in his direction!)
Back at the manse again, Mariangela is screaming at Gabe for cheating on her with Jos. He tells her repeatedly that he has no idea what she's talking about. She says to stop pretending because she saw him and Jos together in his office, making a fool of her and kissing each other, talking about swindling her out of her father's inheritance. Gabe is impactado once more.
JC wakes up to find Pau at his bedside. He again asks who the donor was and Pau tells him that because she is doing fine now she will tell him. She tells him it was his mother and JC is close to tears because his mother has saved his life and so has given him life again.
Gabe and Mariangela are still in the middle of their fight when it finally comes to Gabe in a flash that it might have been his hateful, jealous twin who was out to get even by mascarading as him. He asks her didn't all this seem even a bit suspicious to her, considering Jos is the woman he most despises in the world? How could she have just judged him outright like that? (In effect, she knew he had a jealous twin as well as a crazy, jealous, constantly scheming ex-wife, that would do anything to cause problems for him, but Mariangela, Mexico's most recent and most brilliant rising star of industry, didin't have the common sense to consider this as a possibility.) Mariangela realizes Gabe definitely has a point here.
Gabe tells her it is obvious she doesn't love him as much as he loves her. Her love is fragile and weak. It didn't matter to her a bit what he might have been thinking or feeling. He promises her though, in the end, that he will show her the love he has for her and how she has been totally wrong about everything. Disappointed in her, he shakes his head, and leaves, slamming the door on his way out. (All right! He does have some cajones. I thought either Jos or she had put 'em in a lock-box somewhere!)
After Gabe leaves, Mariangela realizes she owes him an apology.
Eventually the doctor gives JC permission to be wheeled in his wheelchair to his mother's room. So, the next day Pau takes him to see Regina and JC tells Reggie that he has one more reason to admire her. He tells her that he is what he is because of the kind of mother she has been with him. (Ok. A little syrupy sentimentality is nice, but this is reaching diabetes-inducing range.)
Gabe goes to Demian's place and finds Demian there talking with Tiberio. He tells him he knows about the little subterfuge with Jos and how the two of them tried to separate Mariangela and him in order to cause trouble. Demian lies and says that was impossible because he was out eating breakfast with Ti. Ti backs his daddy up and Gabe, apopleptic about now, calls them both liars. He says that Demian and he are now back to square one and the merger is off. He storms out. (Score another one for Gabe!)
Mariangela, still at the manse, goes downstairs and confronts Jos about her trying to trick her and nearly destroying her relationship with Gabe. When Jos pretends she doesn't know what Mariangela's talking about, Mariangela becomes furious and tells Jos not to think that she is going to get her own way in this. Jos tells her to give up because she'll never get the better of her. She should realize that she and Gabe will never be happy together. Mariangela warns her that she is going to fight for what is hers. Jos warns her not to let her guard down with a wild animal because when she least expects it, the animal strikes. "Then I will just end up caging you, Jos!"
Elsa is sneaking another swig of hooch out of her pint behind the coatrack when Otilia comes up and surprises her. Elsa begs her not to fire her or to tell her mother. Otilia says she has no intention of firing her, but suggests she attend Alchoholics Anonymous to get help. Elsa says she doesn't think she can force herself.
At the same time Sylvestre comes over to speak with Candy and he tells her that he found Elsa's bottle of hooch during their honeymoon. She had fallen off the wagon after all. He says he loves her though and will see that she eventually stops drinking. Candy is heartsick at the news that Elsita has fallen back into the "clutches of alchohol".
Ti has a conversation with Dolores, who apologizes for missing out on celebrating his birthday with him. He realizes now it was for a good reason. She asks if his father celebrated with him instead. He answers that Demian didn't but he never has bothered to. She says she'll discuss that with him. Ti says not to bother. Demian has always had only one interest and that has been Regina. Never once, he adds, has he shown a bit of affection towards him, nor given even a word of encouragement. He tells her then that he realizes that his father has never loved him as a son. He is just one more employee to Demian.
Mariangela finds Demian at the office and tears him a new one for trying to trick her by impersonating his brother and getting her to believe Gabe was double-timing her with Jos. Demian tries to verbally swat her away and denies everything. He even accuses her of setting him up to get him in trouble with his brother, but Mariangela tells him to stuff it. She warns him she will not be as foolish next time.
Demian threatens Mariangela, saying he is worse than her worst nightmare. She answers him back that if he tries anything again, he is the one who will find out what she is capable of doing and she will make him pay dearly. He should not doubt that she can hurt him and she will. She storms out and the first thing Demian thinks to himself is that she's sexy when she gets angry....... (What was this about Regina being his whole world and the love of his life? How quickly he forgets. I think this is called compartmentalizing......)
Gabe goes back to the manse to look for Jos since she never came in to work that morning. He finds her and complains about the trick she played on Mariangela with Demian in his office while he was gone. She of course denies this, which makes him even angrier. He tells her he's certain about it and yells at her about when will she ever come to realize that he wants her out of his life for good. "Enough already! You are going to pay dearly for this!" He turns around and leaves, slamming the door in her face. (Gabe is 3 for 3 tonight. He is so angry he is smokin'!) Jos begins to look worried that the jig is finally up.
Demian, in his office alone again, is furious with himself about joining in Joselyn's little intrigues. Now that the merger is off he knows that eventually Regina will find out the truth and he will never be able to live it down.
Once Gabe has returned to the office he fills Nicolas in about what has happened between him and Mariangela due to Jos and Demian's antics. He tells Nic that he's backing away from the merger. Nic says they'll have to call another major shareholder's meeting because that is the only way he can renig on the merger. Gabe says no they won't. He is the major stockholder and what he says goes, period.
Mariangela comes by to apologize to Gabe for her doubts and her rotten behavior towards him. He says he can forgive her, but it has been too painful an experience for him. He suggests they give each other some space for a while. She asks if he wants her to stay away. He suggests that it would be best but before she comes back she should think long and hard about whether she really loves him as much as he loves her.
Dolores goes in to visit with Reggie and they talk about how mothers will do anything to save the lives of one of their kids. Reggie tries to take a nap as Dolores says she'll stick around for a bit to watch over her for a while. Dolores is looking out the window when all of a sudden Regina begins to choke and gasp.
