Amar Sin Limites #25 Tuesday 8/21/07

I'm sorry, but I was only able to recap the first 15 minutes or so of Tuesday's show. If anyone has anything to add, please do!

Tuesday's episode begins with Lidia and Piero in Piero's office. She's telling him to take his money and shove it, cuz she's marrying Paco, who's good to her. He tells her it doesn't matter because she'll always miss him. Pobre de Paco shows up with a lovely bouquet of red roses and finds them in the heat of passion.

Meanwhile, Alfredo is wondering why Diego is at Mo's place, and Azul quickly explains that he works here. Alfredo agrees to keep his mouth shut and hopes that Diego will do the same. Alfredo goes off to work in the lab as Diego wonders what he's supposed to be doing. Andres tells him that he has nothing to do there, and tries to intimidate our handsome Diego, but is interrupted by Sr. Burgay who goes to find Mo.

Sr. Burgay enters Mo's office and asks who the new guy is. He likes his attitude, his charachter, and Mo agrees and says that he thinks they can use these characteristics.

Well, I'm just going to jump in here: Mo and his henchmen kill Paco, who had the chutzpah to show up unnanounced at the office to see Diego, whose shoulder he wanted to cry on after he caught Lidia kissing Piero. Pobre de Paco!

Mo is quite a monster.
Discuss!

Are you kidding me? I haven't watched this episode. Are you for real with that? I didn't think Mo was ready to start his murderous rampage just yet.

Chris, I was quite shocked myself. I have not watched as many shows as you, so I just can't figure what the expected rhythms are here.

I don't think I have everything figured out either, but jeez so far we've had nothing but posturing, whining, and occasional screwing by everyone in the whole cast. To have a murder suddenly pop up is jarring. I haven't watched since Monday, I'm going to have to spend part of the weekend watching this.

Well, wait till you see Wednesday!

This was such an intense show!!!

Lydia is a sailor's dream. Even when she says "NO" she's falling backward into a horizontal position. No wonder Piero is getting mixed messages from her!

And as always, when somebody is caught with their pants down, or in this case her dress around her waist, the first thing she does is realize how badly she messed up. Now Lydia is frantic about finding Paco so she can explain.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, err, whatever you call Mo's place, Paco is standing outside the barred doors looking in at Mr. Sunshine himself, Andres, who's doing his best Secret Service impersonation. Paco needs to speak with Diego on a matter of life or death and Andres could care less. He's not Diego's servant and Paco can find him later. The door slams and Paco looks around in panic.

I get such a kick out of Diego during this episode. So macho, so independent. Andres better mind his manners around him, because he's not afraid of him at all. Poor Diego, he truly does not know the evil maelstrom that swirls around his curly head. He should be very afraid! (Reminds me of the old poster for the movie "JAWS", where you see the girl in the water and a huge shark mouth open right beneath her feet!!)

And now for the really fun stuff!!

There's a scene in a lab with the bio-hazard labels everywhere and a vial is picked up by a guy in a full hazard suit.

Mo and Burgay (is that the guy with the bad complection and white hair?) walk into an office and lo and behold, Paco, in his desperation, decided to come over the fence and sneak through a back door to find Diego. Mo goes berserk and yanks a gun out of a conveniently placed desk drawer and points it at Paco who suddenly realizes that perhaps this is more serious than he thought. Burgay takes the gun and really escalates the fear factor by trying to see if the barrel fits in Paco's ear.

Time passes, Lydia cries hysterically about being caught by Paco...

Back to Mo, Burgay and Paco. They must have called Andres. He comes into the office and stops, staring in disbelief at the sight of Paco, either sitting or kneeling in a corner. Burgay has one hand in his hair, holding his head up and the gun pressed tight to the top of his head!! From the look on Paco's face he's no longer worried about what he saw at Lydia's work. He's wishing he was in Cancun or anywhere but where he is!!

(I apologize for my lack of Spanish, because I'm pretty sure that this was a pivitol scene in the show). Mo says something nasty to Andres, pretty much on the order of, "Hey, idiot, I thought I paid you to keep the vermin out of my place!"

Andres tries to explain that Paco was looking for Diego and Andres sent him on his way. Mo gestures toward Paco, and says, "well he didn't go away now did he?"

Burgay finally releases his death grip (literal) on Paco's hair. Paco practically slobbers on Mo's shoes as he thanks him for being merciful.

Merciful Mo hands the gun to Andres and basically says, "Your mess, your responsibility".

The next time we see Paco he's no longer concerned about anything in this world, as he is wrapped up (more or less) in a white sheet and flipped into a hole in the back yard! Andres looks down at him, tosses something into the impromptu grave and walks away as one of the hired hands shovels dirt into Paco's face.

Trust me, at this point I'm staring at the TV with my mouth hanging wide open! But it gets better by far!

(I'm at work and not sure of the sequence following the burial)...

Andres is sitting at a table in the kitchen, rolling an apple against his cheek. Leonarda is washing something, perhaps some avocado's at the sink behind him. He is brooding about the fact that he has, once again, had to kill somebody for Mauricio. Leo says something and Andres stands up, his face so devoid of emotion that he looks like an automotronic device. I mean he is really scary looking! His eys sweep over a wooden block full of knives and then he walks over to Leo and reaches out his hands and puts them on her neck. But instead of chicken-choking her, he simply brushes her hair out of the way and starts to kiss her, turning her around while a look of pure bliss crosses her face. You almost miss her "Mi Amor" as he continues to work on her neck and the episode ends!

Hot sex, betrayal, murder and incest in a single hour...what more can you ask for in a show!

This episode really was something else. I still can't really believe that Paco got killed. They even showed his face as he was being dumped in the hole, his eyes were open. Anything can happen in these shows. Including people supposedly dead being miraculously or otherwise saved.

And what the hell is Mo & Burgay's business, anyway? It looks like they are trying to get Azul's daddy to help them create a bioweapon. Of course, They are telling HIM that he's supposed to be creating an antidote for viruses that have become drug resistent. Maybe they plan to create an antidote and then release the virus so that they can become zillionaires. No wonder they are so hyped up on security and had to kill Paco for what he might have seen or heard. This is 24 stuff, not your usual telenovela stuff. I half expect Jack Bauer to come busting into Mauricio's Palace o' Malice as somebody called it.

Thanks old man - I couldn't believe we had our first murder already, but it's true! Thanks for catching us up. I expected a lot more mileage out of Paco, both with Lidia and as Diego's friend. I wonder if Diego will find out that Mo/Andres killed him, and let this assuage his guilt of lusting after Azul?

Thanks for the update Oldman (and everyone). I haven't been able to watch this all week and was floored when I heard Paco had gotten killed on Tuesday. I couldn't figure out why. Poor guy, wrong place at wrong time indeed.

I totally thought you were kidding!

That poor gardener knows someday his number will be up too since he knows where all the bodies are buried.
