* James and foreman work in the tequila warehouse - checking on inventory and room enough for the organic tequila barrels.
* Nancy and Gavi have lunch together, chat about her history with Rod and the Montalvos.
* Rod and Isa out shopping for baby furniture - Rod is enchanted by a noisy duck toy. He starts to think about baby names - for a boy, he wants to name it Amador after his grandfather, she says the baby will be Ricardo for her father. He says then if it is a girl, he will name it - she grumbles about which name he will choose Mariana, Teresa or Gaviota.
* Alonso and Casandra are having lunch together. They laugh and discuss work - as he calls for the check, she asks him to look at her new campaign idea for Vickyform and give his opinions. As he looks at the photos, she asks him about Gaviota, and he tells her the qualities he likes about his new assistant.
* Nancy and Gavi discuss Alonso's effort in her staying in town and as his assistant. Nancy says he has a crush on her. Gavi asks about Alonso's fiance or girlfriend. Nancy tells Gavi that Alonso is a total bachelor, Casandra is his cousin.
* Fedra calls Aaron about Pamela - Aaron can't be bothered at the moment, the repair guy is there to work on his computer.
* Package arrives at Montalvo Corp. Elvira hands it to Rod. Isa arrives at that moment and demands Rod open it in front of her - Rod says if you're so interested, you open it and hands it to her. Isa takes it, looks at it and hands it back to Rod to open himself.
* Sofia finds James in the living room - She asks where her husband is, was he with him? James says no, maybe with Crispin at the university. Sofia calls university - is informed he isn't there now, but was at one time with Crispin. Sofia is intrigued. James goes to the dining room for lunch. Sofia sits on sofa. Frankie returns home - Sofia is so happy to see him, hugs him. He explains the wonderful day in town he had with Crispin. He stretches and yawns how tired he is.
* Ofelia serves tortilla soup to James at the dining room table. Frankie and Sofia enter. They sit down - Ofelia serves them the soup. Frankie makes a disgusted look. Sofia, Ofelia and James explain what is in it. Frankie continues to look nauseated. Ofelia mentions the rest of the lunch menu (pork). Frankie says he doesn't eat pork. Sofia asks Ofelia if she can make something without meat for Frankie. Ofelia reluctantly starts to leave - Frankie asks for a special salad. Ofelia looks insulted. Sofia says don't worry, she will go prepare something. Sofia and Ofelia leave. Frankie asks James what happened - was it something he said. James says yes, and explains how he insulted Ofelia for her cooking. James leaves disgusted - he lost his appetite.
* Aaron is upset as he talks on the phone about his computer being dead and the loss of the important information on the missing hard drive disk. Aaron hangs up as Minnie enters the office. Aaron explains to her the horrible panic Pam put him in by taking that disk with her. Minnie sits him down and changes the subject - she mentions seeing a specialist about getting pregnant again. Aaron demands that the child actually be a boy.
* Alonso and Gavi discuss organic tequila industry and Rod's request for information. Gavi gives her opinion about the Montalvo corp. products. She asks him about having dinner - he turns the offer down. She asks him why he always gets her name wrong - he explains it's his way of playing with her. He asks about her nick "Gaviota" - she explains she got it while a child in the fields with her mom and about the song. As she is about to leave, he thanks her for being his assistant.
* Isa finds Rod reading over the organic tequila information papers on the sofa of the condo. She's tired and is going to bed - he's wide awake and will continue working - organic tequila he says is a dream he is fulfilling for his dad. When Isa leaves the room, he mumbles about it being a way to be close to Gavi.
* In office, Gavi is singing her song as she organizes the bookshelves. Alonso enters and mentions the serenade to Nancy in the outer office before entering his office. He surprises Gavi; they discuss putting packets together for the congress. Before she goes to her office, he says he likes her singing.
* Isa and Sofia talk on the phone - check in time. Isa hangs up as Rod enters the room for his briefcase. He is leaving for work. He leans in to kiss Isa before leaving. Isa, alone, calls Susana, who informs her that Gavi not only hasn't left, but she got a promotion to assistant.
* Sofia tells Frankie about the breakfast menu (eggs) - Frankie is nauseated with the mention of eggs. Sofia notices Frankie's mortified expression - he is shocked by the horrible way his clothes have been layed out. (picky-picky-picky)
* Fedra meets with Gaston at a restaurant to apologize for Aaron breaking up with Pamela like he did. Gaston is interrumpted by a phone call. He hangs up. They continue - she continues to apologize and wonder if there's any harsh feelings. Gaston says neither they nor Pamela want anything more to do with the Montalvo family. Fedra mentions that when Pamela left she took a hard disk with important corporation information on it with her; how to get Pam to return it. Gaston says there is no vengeance plot - they want nothing to do with Aaron or the family. He warns her to tell Aaron if he wants the disk, he will have to meet with Pam himself for it. Gaston leaves.

* Casandra meets with Hilario in her office - explains the spokesmodeling job duties. Hilario has stars in his eyes as Casandra tells him about the trips, he needs a place to live - she says they will find him suitable housing, as well as getting him on a diet and exercise plan, and clothes. She asks if he accepts the position. He happily and quickly says yes, he accepts the offer.
* Isy panics as she tells her mom that Gavi is still in town. She realizes in her imagination why Rod has been so quiet and working on the new organic tequila project all the time - he has gotten together with her again. She starts to freak out, crying, whining and shouting. It takes mom to slap her back to reality and shout about the divorce. Isa grits her teeth as she grumbles about Gavi taking everything away from her. Isa tells her mom, if she divorces Rod, it will be when she decides to do it.
* James, Frankie and Roman at the loading docks of the factory warehouse. They are picking up supplies and checking on shipments. James checks some papers, gets disgusted with Frankie and leaves. Frankie talks with Roman a minute longer and then leaves humming the french folktune, "Alouette".
* Fedra talks with Aaron on the phone about her meeting with Gaston. She tells him that he will have to go to Pam himself to ask for the disk back. Aaron is disgusted and furious, can't do that because of Minnie. Aaron hangs up as Minnie enters. He explains his mother's message about Pam and the disk. Minnie says if the information is that important, can't he recreate it on another disk. He likes the idea, and starts to make a phone call. Minnie hangs up the phone and gives some more advice. They kiss.
* Daddy Gaston meets in office with his daughter Pammie. He tells her to give back the disk voluntarily. She says no, she has a plan to put Aaron through hell until he grovels and apologizes to her face. She still loves him and believe he loves her. Daddy hates the idea, thinks Aaron is just playing her for a fool. "we'll see if that's true or not," says Pammie.
* Dr. Ibarra meets with James at psych. hospital about Acacia. Her psychosis is controllable and treatable. James is happy. Doctor says she must stay at the hospital for treatment. James is upset to have to be away from his beloved wife. He asks the Doctor to see Acacia. Doctor takes James to garden - Acacia is playing 'itsy-bitsy-spider' while laying on bench. He calls her name - she stands up, smiles and yells "Mr. James!" They hug. James mentions living with Rod at his hacienda - Acacia freaks out and runs away. James is upset and crying.
* Rod sits at his desk looking over papers. He makes a phone call to P.R. office of Ag. commission. Nancy answers the phone. Rod asks for Alonso's assistant (Gavi). Nancy says she's in a meeting with her boss right now. Rod asks for her phone number. Nancy says she doesn't have one. Rod asks for a fax number. Nancy gives him the office fax number. (Rod is happy.)
* Isa makes a surprise visit to the P.R. office. She tells Nancy she wants to speak with Mariana Franco (Gavi). Nancy says she's in a meeting with her boss; wait a minute, she'll go tell Mariana. Nancy interrupts Gavi and Alonso's meeting to tell Gavi that Isa is there to see her. Gavi gulps in panic. Nancy leaves. Gavi asks for a few minutes break. Alonso realizes that this is one of her enemies, he understands and grants the break. Gavi leaves. Before going to her office, she shocks Nancy by telling her who Isa is (Rodrigo Montalvo's wife). Gavi enters her office - Isa is waiting and pacing inside. Gavi offers her a seat. As Isa sits down, Gavi calls to Nancy to make sure they aren't disturbed. Isa and Gavi have a long-awaited showdown conversation - Isa grumbles about what Gavi plans to do to stay away from Rod and to make sure Isa's pregnancy goes along calmly and contently. Thanks for the recap JR. I'm glad the plot lines (aside from Rod and Gavi) are at least progressing. I know we have 3 more months but can we stop with these showdowns with Gavi and the hyenas.
I'm looking forward to Hilario the rich model. And the previews show Sophie's world starting to crumble. But I am disturbed about slimy Frankie taking on Aaronish characteristics (is is going to start throwing fits and tapping Sophie on her head when his clothes aren't laid out well?).

Isadora really have her nerve to show up at where Gavi work. She's always stalking her and trying to destroy her life....arghhhhh I'm just so tired of her trying to make Gavi life a hell!!!!! Gavi give her the boot and kick her out of the office. Now Gavi is going to think Rod told Isa when it was the spying secretary. Now in the preview for Friday night we see Gavi yelling at Rodrigo. Can someone translate what she was saying to him?

Thank you, JR. Frankie is treaing Sophie like a servant, and according to the previews, Mister James is going to see him putting the moves on one of the locals. Will he tell Sophie what he saw or try to protect her from the knowledge that her beloved is a womanizer by trade ??? Isa is desperate and desperate people do stupid things, so I think she is going down a dangerous path...good, keep going , Honeybun. They are really dragging things out. I'd like to see more of Dani and Elvis. I wonder if Isa is going to tell Min about her noche de amor with AAron one day when Min starts pushing her buttons?

I'm impressed that Gavi agreed to meet with Isa instead of letting Alonso send her away. (I have a feeling that when Alonso tells someone to go away, they stay gone.)
So... Cassandra's his cousin. And he likes Gavi. It's funny how much I dreaded Aldo getting between Fernando and Lety, because honestly, Alonso 'n' Gaviota is sounding pretty good to me right now. (Alonziota? Gavonso?)
I haven't seen this yet, but I am going to really enjoy Frankie's scenes (especially if he's taking on dreaded Aaron traits). I am so impressed by this actor. For a secondary role, he sure does get to show a lot of range.

I coulda smacked that Frankie when he insulted Ofelia's tortilla soup. I'd "pruebala, con gusto". He is devloping into a horrible undeservedly entitled character. Clothes, food, work, consideration for others?? He has coming to him a real hard correction. The actor is doing a marvelous job. CAN ANYONE UNDERSTAND WHAT JAMES SAYS? I so wish that he would dump that stupid, affected accent, just so that i could understand him, so annoying. Rod is sooo junior high, what a dip. Also, more of Dai and Elvis!

Frankie is the worst of newly-rich social climbers. His putting on airs is so over the top and probably what some people who suddenly have the upper hand would do. The poor house servants will have to put up with a lot from Frankie before this is all over. Funny, but I find it harder to watch him acting in such an asshat way than anything else on this novela. How you treat people you deem to be in an inferior position to yours is the truest show of character but, of course, we already knew Frankie's character or lack thereof.

James? His character and that of Acacia seem not to have much meaning to this show,but despite seemingly useless charactere, last night he gave it to Frankie..He does have some backbone & guts.Much more than Rodrigo..

Perhaps the experience of chickening out on Acacia, and letting her down, and then getting over it and going back and helping her, has made Meester James a stronger person. Amazing how quick that transformation was.

LOL...(this novela brings out a little father-daughter bonding)...And then Frank the Snake turned his nose at MEEster James and questioned why someone from London would eat such food!!! What a monster!!! And kudos for James for sticking up for the people commenting on the hospitality and how the food is delicious!!!
I think Rod asked Nancy for the s-mail address, no? I could be wrong, my spanish S-U-C-K-S!!! and yes, it sucks in capital letters... so correct me if I am wrong!!!

What a monster!!! And kudos for James for sticking up for the people commenting on the hospitality and how the food is delicious!!!

Frankie makes me so sick - I detest his scenes. The only scene with him I want to see is when he's exposed as the phony and parvenu he is.
And Sophie - what a namby pamby she is. No backbone at all.
I'm liking Alonso so far, quite a lot. His big plus is he doesn't pontificate about life (a la Aldo), only coffee.
Aaron has disappointed me by going back to Minnie and being so .....whipped. I really wanted him to marry Pammie; I hoped she would make him miserable. :)

Thanks JR, your through and well written recap is worth it's weight in gold. Like so many others, they are my daily therapy and I'm never disappointed. The comments are enjoyable also. I agree with the person who is tired of these showdowns with Gavi and the hyenas. The writers seem to overplay some points. It's like I want to tell them "OK, you made your point, I got your message".
Aaron is one of my favorite characters. But the way he has turned from bad boy to Minnie's meek mouse is beginning to get on my nerves. I'm on Pam's side. Then to the person who complained about James voice. Fear not, you are not alone. That phoney voice grates on my nerves even more than Clarita's baby-like voice.

I read a portion of a article in People en Espanol(I believe but not 100% sure) recently and it said Angelica Rivera (Gavi) was doing the concert tour around Mexico,or was it that she cancelled a tour?Don't want to say for sure.. Lack of interest her singing,possibly.?

I have been certain while watching this novela that Angelica's vocals have been dubbed by someone else. Much to my surprise esmas.com has announced that Angelica, Eduardo and the rest of the cast minus Chantal, who is starring in "Victor/Victoria", will be touring Mexico and singing songs from Destilando, on HORSEBACK no less, after the gran finale. Eduardo admits he can't sing. Maybe the whole production will be a Milli Vanilli.

I can't help but be suspicious of Isa going to the office to see Gavi and Gavi being dumb enough to tell Nancy they aren't to be disturbed. If I were crazy Isa I'd take the opportunity to rip my clothes, fall on the floor and start screaming that Gavi tried to kill me and my baby. Have a nice hysterical fit and it isn't as if no one has seen Gavi go on a tear.
Ditto for liking the acting job of Frankie, the terminally annoying nasal James and waiting to see Hil turned into a famous stud.

Yes, that is Angelica's real voice- she said herself on an interview that she only sang for the character, but that she does not believe she is the greatest singer- she sounds allright to me. The Faux Frog was so funny last night- I guess because he grew up poor, eating tortillas every day he believes that rich people don't eat them. Doesn't he know that over here Gringos pay lots of money to eat tortillas in restaurants. I'd take tortilla soup over his faux rich food anyday. What an idoit!

she's beautiful...bump that why should she hid her feminity over the length of her skirt...anyone remember Ali McBeal, come on now. Its not she is stuffed in her skirt like sausage, she's tastefully dressed, sexy, but tasteful...and she's got the brains and assertive!! As always, I enjoyed the recap and comments. In fact, much of what I want to say has already been said:) So, I'll just second some of the "emotions" that stood out. Anon 2.11 I love your list. I was very annoyed at Nuevo executive Gavi asking not to be disturbed. But hey, I learned something. The next time I want to gain access to some enemy/executives office, I'll just show up and lie about having an appointment and give a false last name. Then with any luck I won't have to wait long because the secretary will certainly interrupt the bosses meeting with the person I'm seeking. Then, I'll be given permission to wait alone in the persons office. This will give me the opportunity to snoop around or steal information from the fax machine. Last but not least, since I'm behind closed doors with a perceived enemy, you can bet I'm gonna leave my mark in some way and there are no witnesses. Obviously, some of these novela scenes are written for people who has not experienced life in the real world.

Well, looks like lil Acacia has gone down the rabbit hole. I think they said schizophrenia, looks like a life time of heavy meds & hospitalization.
Well that worked out for the spineless Meester James & he can now save another damsel, lil Sofie.
I guess, he can get some kind of an annulement or maybe to make him guilt free she will just kill herself.
Geez I hate James. Now I guess he will support the noxious Sofie. If Frankie were a bit more evil & less of an AssHat, I could maybe like him..but they are all just way too annoying.

She understands why Rod was so calm and collected around her lately. Her mom says why would Avellaneda do this? She says that the little schemer got him behind closed doors and you can just figure the way she convinced him. "She came out of this stronger and I'm left defenseless! I lost and this damned despicable woman got everything the way she wanted it!" Her mom tells her not to take her defeat so easily. She has to do something and fast. Isa says then it's time that Mariana Franco learns that Isa will do anything it takes to hold onto her husband. And Isa says when she divorces Rod it'll be when she decides!

I thought Isa looked kind of cute in her jammies last night (fully covered). Maybe her usual “fashion statement” since she became pregnant is meant (by the telenovela) to keep us from reacting to her in a more forgiving way because of her pregnancy.
Mr. James is totally clueless. When he said (to himself) that Acacia was his life, I thought of how he demonstrated that so well by abandoning her when she really needed him.

Anon 3:46. Isadora is hard to understand when she is yelling. It sounds like screeching or fingernails on the blackboard. I agree it is annoying.
How come Destilando is not in the section of all the soaps? I had to click under a Thursday Recapper for Destilando, in order for it to come up. Then it came up different than it always had. Under the recap started the comments by the viewers. At the bottom of the comments there was no part saying Destilando 35 or whatever comments? Also can anyone explain why the first comment under Destilando, is under blue writing and you can't see the first line or two of the comments. this has always been this way, even with the other soaps. I remember one recapper commenting about it and how she changed it???

The previews from thursday for Friday, was sooo upsetting for me, I could not watch it last night. I taped it and will wait to see what the recaps are. If it is not soo traumatic, I will watch what I taped. ROTF. Esa going to Gavi. I can only imagine what she had to say and I visualize her convincing gavie that gavi is ruining their lives and of their innocent child. Making Gavi feel guilty and then she stays away from Rod again. And again he finds out months later that his wife caused them to separate again. Or shall I say, allowed his wife to do this. Ret
