When Connie excuses himself to the bathroom, Nestor tells Luci they should spend the night together. She's worried about Connie catching her sneaking out. Nestor tells her he'll take care of everything.

Braulio, hugging his creepy dummy, swears that his niece is going to know that she has a family.

She reminds him that she's there for him. He laments about Hugo being gone and not knowing that his father is sick. Karla urges Damian to tell his son, he says he's tried to contact him, but hasn't been able.

Val and Rocky return home. The find the champagne that Connie, Luci and Nestor were drinking. They polish off the bottle and Val invites Rocky to come up to her room.

We are treated to a series of near misses between Val & Rocky and Luci & Nestor running in the halls. To avoid Val catching her with Nestor, Luci drags him into her room. Connie starts to stir and Nestor ducks into the bathroom. Connie bellows for Luci to get him some pain relief and he heads into the shower. Of course Nestor is able to go undiscovered and he and Luci sneak off to be together.

Rocky tells Bobby that Val is going to end it with him. Val and her friends arrive and she acts like she has no idea where Rocky is coming from. Rocky urges her to tell Bobby that she's in love with him, Rocky!

Brau brings Mili a letter. She reads it in front of Connie. It is a letter about her parents. It tells where her mother grew up and mentions that her father is near and she'll be finding out who he is soon. Connie sends looks that kill in Brau's direction. Connie warns Mili that the person who sent it could have malintentions. Mili says she's got no one and nothing, so why would anyone do something bad to her.

Val tells Rocky that nothing happened between them. Rocky is crushed, he told her his hopes and dreams. He says they spent the night together. The girls all laugh and Rocky can't understand why Val would laugh at him. Rocky leaves and Bobby urges Val to have Rocky fired. Val says he's harmless.

Brau notices an ashtray in Luci's bedroom. He tells Luci she's glowing and that he knows that neither she or Connie smoke. Luci looks worried, but Brau assures her that he's not going to say a thing to Connie about Nestor.

Damian apologizes to Karla for treating her bad. He also tells Connie he wishes him well and asks him to say good-bye to his sister. Connie is impatient with all of this, he's on a mission to find Braulio. Damian leaves and Karla tells Connie she's worried about Damian. Connie tells her to tell him it was all a joke----Connie's payback to Damian for faking his cancer in the first place.

Mili meets with Padre Manuel and tells him about the letter. She's going to go find out where her mother grew up. END OF EPISODE

Poor Rocky, Val still can't stand up in front of her friends. I wonder if Rocky imbibed some of the sleeping powder from the leftover champagne.

I loved Braulio's standing behind Mili and lifting one eyebrow as a warning to Connie.

Powerful preview: Mili goes to her mother's house and we see a masculine hand on her shoulder. She turns and spits at the person behind the hand. The camera pulls back, and it's Connie.

Cathy: Thanks for the recap. I've said this once, and I'll say it again. This novela is growing on me.

Rocky is becoming more sympathetic and less silly. When he's not screwing his face into absurd "caras", he's actually pretty good looking, and he and Val have chemistry going on.

I can hardly wait to see the look on Luci's face when she finds out about this romance. But, who is she to talk?

I agree, Pasofino. When Rocky stops baring his teeth in weird grimaces, he looks 100 percent better. The actor seems to have transferred over from the comedy world: I think I caught a glimpse of him during the Premios show in Familia P. Luche.

We have never commented on the Mexican comedies at Caray, Caray, but they are stupendously silly. For those who haven't seen it, the Familia P. Luche is a family that dresses as giant stuffed animals (peluche means plush or felt, as in stuffed animal coverings).

Great recap, Cathy!

Last night was classic bedroom door slamming farce and more enjoyable than the whose my daddy drama.

Yeah those comedy shows are things that definitely have a class/cultural componant as to whether people find them funny. I don't get El Chavo and yet when I travelled in Latin America I would always see people in a bar/restaurant type place laughing their heads off at it. Same thing with the Venezuelan shows like Bienvenidos.

Well, you can't say we don't have similarly silly comedies: Remember Alf, the furry alien? That was a surprisingly successful show. Also, Saturday Night Live skits are sometimes just as out there.

This was fun episode – thank you for the good recap! Thank goodness we had an episode where Mili wasn’t behaving like a fishwife.

The scene where Braulio is writing his anonymous letter to Mili – I loved the bit where he covered the eyes of the dummy. I wonder what that was about? Also, I thought it was a hoot when Luci and Nestor jumped together for quick kisses as soon as Connie left the room. Did they think no one would see them right in the foyer? Apparently they got lucky on that one.

The avances were interesting – usually when Mili heads out to do something difficult, she gets into her boy outfit with the dangling suspenders and button-covered cap. This time as she goes to see her mother’s house she’s in a sweet little dress and heels.

I think we've seen the last of Mili in her boys clothes. Even during her tantrum in the restaurant she seemed more sad and disillusioned then raging. I think she has finally had enough of the put downs from Luci, Val and Flo. Of course that little spitting at Connie is over the top. I've been standing somewhere and have a hand come down on my shoulder and turned to slug someone. Spitting never occurs to me.

The farce with Nestor, Luci, Connie and Nestor's Mickey Finn was hilarious. It amazes me how many people in this house take chances and never think of being caught. Nestor and Luci on the couch, Rocky sneaking into Val's room. It goes on and on. I guess discretion is a word no one in the Belmonte Casa understands or thinks applies to them.

Snotty Spice can now be renamed as Cowardly Spice. She can't or won't stand up to her friends but than again with Luci as a mother it is understandable. Can't wait to see the explosion when Luci finds out about this little relationship.

Tonight looks to be most interesting - yet another chance for Connie to tell the truth but I'm betting the farm he won't take it.
