Happy Birthday Mario!!Feliz cumpleaños para Mario!!

Today (Sunday) is the birthday of Mario Cimarro, guapissimo star of two novelas on Telemundo that are currently featured in recaps or discussions here on Caray Caray: La Traición and Pasión de Gavilanes.

To celebrate the occasion, here are five (all that I was allowed to upload) photos of Mario. Enjoy!!!

Mario as a baby! (thanks Marie Celeste)

Jean, Thanks for the photos of Mario Cimarro. What a fabulous looking guy. I am not watching any of his shows but can't help peeking in on them sometimes and now I so enjoyed your little photo album. I find it interesting that he was born in Cuba but became a Mexican citizen only in the late 90's. I wish there were more hours in the day, I would love to watch both of the TN's he is in on Telemundo everyday.

Jean, I had just finished posting about the Friday’s episode when I saw this birthday greetings post. Thanks so much for putting this together. It’s probably just as well you were able to upload only five pictures because we could come up with a ton of memories from LT and I’m sure just as many from PdG.

Marie Celeste, thanks for the cute Mario baby snapshot! I predict that nino has got a future in show biz!

I have a question about the quotation “Iremos juntos de estes mundo como cuando nacimos…” that you included. My translation site says: “We will go together of this world as when we were born…” Is this fairly close to the meaning and what is the origin of this quote?

Nancy

Hi Nancy: That picture is from the 3/5 episode with Alcides, Hugo and Soledad in the mine. It is part of what Hugo says when he uses his psychic connection with his brother to keep him from escaping from the mine.

"No te vayas cobarde, nos iremos juntos de este mundo, juntos, como cuando nacimos, sientes lo mismo que yo.."
"Siente mi angustia...siente mi agonía, siéntela.."

"You're not leaving coward, we will leave this world together, together, as we were born, feel what I feel..."
(and Alcides collapses choking)
"Feel my anguish... feel my agony, feel it.."

It is probably my favorite episode of the novela.

My, he most certainly is a lovely specimen of a man!

Thanks so much, Jean, for putting together a lovely birthday post! ¡Larga vida a Mario!

I don't get Telemundo, but I appreciated the photos...He is muy guaypo. Anyhoo, what with Fernando, Eduardo, and Marcelo (lots of 0-o-o s there, verdad ?) I have more than enough telenovios at the moment,so maybe it's a good thing that I can only get Univision here.

P.S.~~~Shoutout to my peep, Cap'n Sylvia~~~I like the pirate cake. Now I'm hungry..........and scared.

Thanks Jean, we can never get enough Mario. How interesting that he was born in Cuba, but became a Mexican citizen just lately. I'm going to try and squeeze in some of the PdG tomorrow. Just for research purposes of course...

I had another thought for TN. "El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha." Jorge Cao (Don Martin in PdG) or the guy who plays Dr. Max in LT would be great as Don Q, and Cesar Mora (Guille Burque in LT) would be a fun Sancho. Mario would be perfect as the handsome Sanson Carrasco! As for Aldonza/Dulcinea, I'd vote for either Amparo Grisales (Madre Luna) or the actress who plays Elena in LT ;)

Thanks Jean for the photo gallery of Hugo/Alcides/Mario.

Happy Birthday Mario!

Whenever I get the chance, I find myself watching PdG in the morning, La Ursurpadora in the afternoons and LT in the evenings. Three Mario novelas -- and La Ursurpadora is special because our fearless captain Fernando is in it also.
