Querida Enemiga Tuesday Aug. 26 '08 It Ain't The Meat It's The Motion That Makes Your Momma Wanna Rock
We start with a rehash. Jaqui and Sara are talking about the business and Jaqui assures her that Arturo will take care of everything. Our Sara doesn't like the sound of that. And then we have Julian breaking up with Rossy so as not to bring her bad luck and saddle her with a poor, sad loser like himself. Ferro and company be warned, Rossy does a lot of ugly crying in this episode...but goshdarnit, she's entitled!
And now onto new stuff. Lorena's out on the street again with her muffins and chief muffin lover Chef Hawt. She's threatening to cut off his supply a) 'cause he'll get fat b) because with school, study and work, she doesn't have time to bake and hustle muffins. She starts toward a stopped car when suddenly she realizes it's Alonso and backs off. Ernesto grabs her (be still my heart!) pulls her in close (ay yi yi!) and says, Don't let him see you suffering.
The light changes, Alonso drives off, but hey, what's this? Chef Hawt still has her in a clinch and is clearly enjoying it. Lorena is more like Whassup? She teases him about being a Cassanova and he takes a new tack, assuring her that he just felt like protecting her. Well, Lord knows, she's needs someone watching out for her. If Chef Hawt wants to be her "principe azul" it's fine with me. Definitely happy our hottie is getting more screen time. Thank you writers!
Okay, we have several more scenes with Rossy and Julian but it all boils down to the same thing. Lots of "ugly crying" and "can't live without you's" and even more " I'm a loser" and "you deserve someone better" from Julian. Tiresome. And besides, you KNOW they'll get back together, so let's not worry about the kids, awright?
Lost love is the subject with Lorena and Ernesto as well. He's probing, wanting to know more about the breakup with Alonso. She admits she still loves the doc but then gently disengages to sell more muffins, adding that she'll see Ernesto tonight. He gazes after her with a besotted smile (oh my, excuuuuse me while I melt) and murmurs Lorena ,Lorena , Lorena.(I think "Judy, Judy, Judy" would be better but what do these script writers know!?)
Meanwhile, Alonso is driving and fuming (I'm afraid he's going to have an accident but he doesn't). What a liar, he sneers, she told me there was nothing going on with her professor. And I still love her! I can't stop thinking about her! The best part of this scene is when his cell rings, he sees it's Sara, and refuses to answer. YEEEESSSSS!
Now we're at the office, Sara is cooing into the telephone asking her "amor" to call her. Jaqui's ears prick up and she asks, Do you have a novio? I've really missed out since being on my honeymoon. Sara drops the dime that it's Alonso....yes, the ex of the "pelapapas" and my ex-friend as well. She gets in a few more digs at Lorena and mercifully, that's the end of that scene.
Now THIS scene is better. Ernesto is gently and slowly rubbing Lorena's gift muffin on his lips....very sensual. His sister notices...how could she not!? and also notices his distraction. He says aloud, without realizing it, that he thinks he's falling in love. And of course big sis has no trouble guessing with who...yep, our little lamb Lorena.
Meanwhile, at Hell's Kitchen, Monica is scheming with the sous-chef. She's noted his disagreements with some of Ernesto's commands and figures she can suborn him with the promise of being elevated to head chef once Ernesto is out of the way. He hesitates for about two seconds and then agrees. He does wonder why she wants to do him in and she says she can't stand Ernesto's arrogance....and remember, she adds, I'm the daughter of the owner.
While this finegling is going on, Paula and Greta are having a verbal catfight at the Beauty Parlor. Greta's been marking her territory from the getgo and she's still doing it, asserting that "Mr. Right" is for me. Meanwhile, Maruja is visiting Jaime in prison, bringing him something to read, and being thanked tenderly. Anything from you lifts my heart, he says. But he also goes on to say that admitting his guilt was something he had to do. If his mother continues to lie, well that's her business. He needs and has to take responsibility for his actions. Our schlump is well on his way to redemption.
Not so redeemable is Barbara who's dealing with her anxiety by shopping till she drops. And who should drop down beside her but Valeria and her little Annelise. They realize they met at the party, Barbara notes that Annelise looks like Arturo....not that she's seen him that much, she adds (liar liar pants on fire!) and Valeria gently notes that the children adore him even though he's not home very much.
Okay, Maruja's home now, comforting Rossy. More ugly crying and can't live without him's and finally Mom gently reminds her she needs to get to work...needs to keep her job. And sure enough, the restaurant is filling up, and Lorena and Felipe are getting nervous, wondering what's happened to Rossy.
Paula and Greta arrives, Raimundo mixes up their names, but Greta takes charge immediately, laying her hand on his chest and coming on strong, strong, strong. Paula looks disgusted. Once they're at the table, Greta is cooing over some appetizer saying "how do you eat this?" and Paula snaps "with your mouth!" Raimundo looks puzzled (maybe he's related to Alonso). Next Greta puts some food in Raimundo's mouth so he can taste it. Yep, she's is definitely serious about landing this guy.
In the kitchen, Monica and Ernesto are squabbling as usual. This time her gripe is he hasn't offered enough variety for opening night. The menu is too limited. This lady is super annoying. I almost dislike her more than Sara. (No, I take that back...but Monica's really a pain).
More drama....a cranky woman food critic arrives....without an invitation. Or rather the invitation was sent to her assistant. Raimundo pours oil on troubled waters, escorts her to a special table. Seems she's the most important food critic in the city...and also another one of Ernesto's rejects. If she give a bad review, the restaurant is doomed! She's a little bitchy about the wine selection and when Ernesto comes out she flirts a little and says she was hoping for a more intimate dinner with him. He seems to be doing pretty well schmoozing over the past but time will tell.
This is broken up with a funny scene with Greta trying to sound knowledgeable and talking about Camembert wine. Well, okay, it wasn't THAT funny but it was supposed to be. Maruja arrives, Greta starts to diss Julian, Maruja nixes that and Greta follows up by saying, Well, when this restaurant is MINE, we'll play cards here anytime we want. Gotta give this gal points for nerve.
Ernesto and Sandra (the food critic) are still walking down memory lane and it's a rocky road. He was unfaithful. She did damage to his car and his apartment. She asks for a special lobster dish that he used to fix for her so "he can take her to heaven one more time". He promises to do just that and heads for the kitchen. She sighs and says, How can I hate someone like that?
Brief confrontation between Paula and Lorena. Paula's nasty. Lorena's dignified. And that's that.
Monica and the sous-chef are scheming...sous-chef says he'll mess up the sauce Ernesto's making for the lobster and that will deep-six him for sure.
Big switch of scenes now. Sara arrives, uninvited, at Alonso's apartment. When she finds out Gramps is babysitting Bettina, she makes a move on Alonso and he fends her off, saying he's not in the mood. She acts sweet but silently vows to make him pay for that rejection. This lady has a very big s..t list and it's growing longer by the day.
Meanwhile, all hell is breaking loose in the kitchen. When Ernesto hands Lorena the platter to take to cranky food critic Sandra, she notices that something is wrong with the sauce. The consistency isn't right. They taste it and sure enough, it's been ruined by someone adding "polvo de horno" (baking powder). Ernesto is screaming who sabotaged my dish ?, glaring at Monica, and Rossy rushes off to find Raimundo to mediate.
The upshot is Ernesto insists that Lorena stay in the kitchen to help him repair the dish (more fuel for Monica's ire) and when Lorena finally takes it out to the lady, apologizing for the delay, Sandra sweetly notes that Ernesto used to be able to make this for her in two minutes when they were "together".
If that weren't enough to build Lorena's distrust of Chef Cassanova, there's a whole table of his exes there for dinner as well, and lo and behold they recognize Lorena as having been at his book signing. She tries to play dumb but they're on to her. However, tonight, they're all getting along famously...he leaves 'em but he leaves 'em happy is the message, I guess. Lorena just shaks her head and smiles....what a rascal!
Back at the table, Raimundo is noticing how quiet Maruja is and asks the wine steward (who's already fallen head over heels in love with Greta...too bad he's bald and geeky) to fix Rossy's mama a "golpe de sol" (heatstroke) cocktail to lift her spirits. So Paula and Greta want one too and we know the results, they all end up smashed.
Ernesto has fixed his food critic her favorite dessert as well...the closed captions had something funny like mus but I assume it was "mousse" (the French dessert, not the hair gel) and it's bringing back a lot of tender memories for her.
Big switch now to the lesser house where Omar is lecturing Julian about bucking up, acting like a man, getting his act together, taking responsibility....well, you know the drill. You probably heard this lecture a few times growing up, right? Julian continues to mope, believing that he was born cursed with bad luck. Diana adds to the dreary mix by saying Bruno wants to come to the house to "formalize" their engagement. Zully isn't enthusiastic but says she'll support her.
Whew...the evening at the restaurant has come to a close with no diasters (that we know of) Raimundo thanks everyone, applauds his chef, the table of cozy exes cheer and shout "You cook like you kiss" and Chef Hawt gives his big big big smile....for Lorena alone.
And he's not the only one thinking about Lorena. Alonso is sitting glumly at home, wondering why he can't get her out of his mind. He's interrupted by a phone call from the clinic...an emergency, and off he goes to help.
Lorena and Rossy are being lectured by Monica and warned that their work depends on her so they'd better not mess up. Chef Hawt offers to give the girls a ride home. Rossy finds her mother pleasantly sloshed while Mom is surprised Rossy got home so quickly....and where's Lorena? Still talking to Ernesto, says Rossy and they both roll their eyes.
He's thanking her for her support (yeah, she saved your butt tonight Ernesto) and wishing that she trusted him more. You're dying to know what went wrong with Alonso, no? she asks. Well, someone told Alonso a terrible lie about me. And he believed it. He wouldn't listen to me. And the worst part was my best friend then moved in on him. So it was a double betrayal. I lost the man I love and the girl who I thought was my best friend. And of course our chef is looking muy, pero muy impactado.
And that's it for tonight folks. There were some previews. But the only one that interested me was the one involving our hunky chef and Lorena. Things are heating up in that department!
Check it out tomorrow and find out just HOW hot.

The sandwich scene is at the beginning of 45.3, if anyone would like to see the delightful look on Alonslow's face. "What is this, head cheese and marshmallow fluff?"
“she realizes it's Alonso and backs off. Ernesto grabs her (be still my heart!) pulls her in close (ay yi yi!) and says, Don't let him see you suffering” A likely excuse! I agree with Ferro, he just wanted a free squeeze.
“He gazes after her with a besotted smile (oh my, excuuuuse me while I melt) and murmurs Lorena ,Lorena , Lorena.(I think "Judy, Judy, Judy" would be better but what do these script writers know!?)” LOL! I’m with you, melting. It isn’t just the treadmill making me melt, either.
“Raimundo looks puzzled (maybe he's related to Alonso).” LOL! He did look pretty Lost in Space.
“This lady is super annoying. I almost dislike her more than Sara. (No, I take that back...but Monica's really a pain).” Amen, Sistah.
“Greta follows up by saying, Well, when this restaurant is MINE, we'll play cards here anytime we want. Gotta give this gal points for nerve.” Speaking of NERVE, Greta is getting on my last one tonight. I got so tired of her tonight! Up until then, Paula was on my last nerve. Well, Greta changed all that.
“When Ernesto hands Lorena the platter to take to cranky food critic Sandra, she notices that something is wrong with the sauce.” I adored this scene. It was so cool the way the writers highlighted her instincts about food prep, and how good an assistant she’ll be to Ern some day. (Well, tonight, temporarily, too).
“Omar is lecturing Julian about bucking up, acting like a man, getting his act together, taking responsibility....well, you know the drill. You probably heard this lecture a few times growing up, right?” LOL! Not the acting like a man part.
NinaK, true confessions time? You rocked in college? LOL!

Monica - I wouldn't want her whole body to get caught in a meat grinder, but I wouldn't mind if it pulled some of her hair. ;-)
- I know each panque is worth ten pesos to her, but it would have been worth ten times that much to throw one of them through the open window of Alonso's car. 100x bonus if it lands in his gaping mouth and he tastes it.
- I couldn't help noticing that Alonso emoted again. I think they must be doing like they do with young children who are in therapy, pointing to various pictures on a chart of cartoon faces showing the different emotions. Something like this.
Julie, if Lor throws one of her muffins it might not do Al much damage, (unless he chokes of course) but if Sara ever makes muffins they will probably be like Ellie Mae Clampett biscuits and hit Dr. Dumb's head like a hockey puck. That would be cool.
Very excellent title Judy, also one of my faves from days gone by.
Heh, "judy judy judy", good one. You got a good episode tonight. I always like it when an episode features some kind of opening or fashion show or something like that, not sure why.
Re: Alonslow and Sara, I was wondering who would tire of whom first, I guess we know now. But Dr. Slow's such a drip, will he actually do anything about it or just keep letting Sara call the shots?
I haven't watched this one yet but I can't wait to see the scenes with Chef Hawt and Lorena. He is babealicious.
And Julie, I appreciate your PS given my misunderstanding last week! I'm such a novice, by the way, I didn't even know that ;-) was a "happy face"....tend to gloss over punctuation marks of any kind.
I'm loving these music discussions. We've already discovered that most of us loved ABBA (Eve told me they were very popular in Russia during the 70's and 80's); Mike put me onto that funny song Third Rate Romance, Low Rent Rendezvous (and I have "dibs" on that for another title if it works some night)...and now I know that many of you love this saucy blues song like I do. El mundo es un pañuelo.
Also, liked your take on Alonso's acting lessons...I agree...keep it simple, short sentences with pictures...that works. Would not want this fellow performing bariatric surgery on me!
And Schoolmarm, I agree...Greta was obnoxious last night. I used to find her funny, but the hunt for Mr. Right has turned her into an aggressive harpy. On the other hand, Maruja looks better and better with her compassionate, empathic treatment of Jaime.
On Sara/Alonso...I agree, Sylvia...the relationship would have to run its course rather quickly and then I suppose Alonso will be in as much danger as Lorena, Chalo, Jaime,Barbara Vasco,Hortensia...and anybody else who stands in her way or who annoys her. She's an "equal opportunity" hit woman!
These days I don't think I have a single hormone left so my mood is always the same.....confused.
Move over, Alonso.
Have to agree with Chris...a drum roll for Julie's three comments on the sandwich scene, especially..."I wish someone would staple my stomach right now!"
Good start to my day, partners, thank you.
And a big hello to your "better half" Emilia. Does she like the same songs you do?
Our musical preferences are quite different, really, in that she has taste and class. You can tell from "Third Rate Romance" that I'm into Old School White Trash.
Mike and I like some of the same music, probably not a lot. I was a
bubblegum teen in the '60s and he is from a touch earlier era. We both like classical, plus The Eagles, guys like them. He likes jazz - a little goes a long way for me! - and I like old-time gospel music. Too much info??
Loved the recap, bu the way.
Yes, Alonslow does seem to be emoting, how strange! I really hate it that he and Lorena will get back together. She shouldn't be stuck with Sara's leavings. Guess I'm old fashioned but I wouldn't want my best or ex-best friend to have been that, umm, 'familiar' with my man.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj80jzTZ9Co
So glad to know you like gospel music. Do you have any CD's of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir? They really do rock out on some numbers.
When it comes to jazz, I'm most comfortable with quiet versons of the standards (Keith Jarrett is wonderful) and I also love Herbie Mann's Jazil album...the best of jazz and Brazilian music combined in my opinion.
Hope you two have a great day...it's quietly raining in Columbus and you can practically hear our poor tired lawns slurping up the much-needed moisture.
It's only a little bit after 10AM - and 21 comments are out!
Judy, this is the fastest recap I've ever seen - posted 5 minutes after the show ended - WOW ( actually double WOW)!
And you haven't missed a thing. I like your "naughty title", like Nina mentioned! And because I'm absolutely not familiar with the real album that it's based on - it definitely stroked me like "naughty" - well, I'm not complaining!
This was a good episode - only one unsuccessful sabotage scene, almost everything else was a real pleasure to watch.
I really like the cell phone episode in the car and later - rejection of the "indecent proposal" - hmm, may be FINALLY something could get to our AlonSLOW - slow, but it's getting there.
The restaurant meeting of rejects - I just can't believe how this guy can handle so graciously this situation! They all still in love with him and actually are supporting ( kind of) each other!
I'm with all of you on Monica - she is getting on my nerves! So jealous and disgustingly arrogant - I can't stand her in all senses!
Very sweet scene in jail - Maruja is actually the only person other then his son gave Jaime a visit!
Na na na na na! Greta got a boyfriend! - May be she will be stuck with this geeky boldy? The
way she acted - she deserves him!
Julie, your comment "- I couldn't help noticing that Alonso emoted again. I think they must be doing like they do with young children who are in therapy, pointing to various pictures on a chart of cartoon faces showing the different emotions. " cracked me up completely! I've just imagined this therapy/acting session for our "galan" - can't stop laughing!
Well, the preview IS HOT!!!!
Can't wait to see the action - we really due for one!
With Juan, the language was so fast and furious (and tough given that there was so much slang)I absolutely had to go back to get some of the dichos. Last night, there didn't seem to be much of note in the way of language, and of course I was already fagged out because of my Amor Real marathon (which you are responsible for, amiga!). And boy, do those headphones help. Forever grateful!
I hope the good stuff keeps up for a while.
When are these ladies (Greta, Ernesto's exes, others) going to realize that men don't want women to throw themselves at the guy? We like a little mystery. You could see that out of Greta, Paula and Maruja, Raimundo would probably prefer the only one who didn't try to impress - Maruja.
Even Alonso, while he's going along with Sara's advances, still prefers the hard-to-get Lorena.
And I know she's mean, but I just love Monica! She's a real firecracker, either smiling deviously, or mad as a hatter! And not bad-looking, I might add!!
Oh, I'm trouble now! lol
First - I don't have hearing problems.
I can understand Spanish much better with my headphones on - somehow it let you hear better the speech part. I can practically watch without captions - the dialogs are so much clearer. Also you can regulate the volume directly on headphones and it could be as loud as you want - the TV sound will stay the same for others watching the same program. Or - if nobody else but you watching the Spanish channel and they don't want to hear different language - the TV sound could be really low.
And yes, you don't have to sit and watch constantly - some video input is not necessary - but you can hear it clearly anyways.
I think those headphones were developed to help hearing-impaired. Well, may be for language learners too.
That was a really funny recap, Judy. Wish I hadn't missed this episode--finally a little heat!
Hombre de Mistereo...you never fail to amazing me (guess that's why you're so myterious). I can't imagine anyone liking Monica in her present shrill state but I suppose it's the challenge and the energy that accounts for her appeal (or are you just trying to "get us going"?) So if she's attractive (to SOME, ahem) that makes it even more certain that Chef Hawt will end up with her (ugh). She just seems too vindictive for my tastes, but maybe she'll be redeemed... and then "tenderized" (sorry, felt I should use a cooking term here)by our macho chef.
Nina, have you ever noticed that you heard the words to music better (even in English) while listening on headphones rather than your normal speakers? I even noticed I understood the Spanish better when I was down at my daughter's house because my son-in-law had positioned 4 speakers around the room for surround sound.
Anyway, the headphones do just intensify the hearing experience and on our TV the sound is completely off in order for the headphones to work. Something which my son and husband love since they have NO interest whatsoever in Spanish telenovelas.
And Nina, I will write to you off-line about structuring a fitness class (probably tomorrow) but I might add one of the reasons we have such fun discussions here is that we're almost always" off-topic." The telenovela will bring up an issue, or a memory or trigger some reaction which we then all take and run with... Never know where we'll end up, but it's fun.
Ya know?
Resisting going digital, too. Don't want to spend one cent more on cable than we already do so we're hoping for continued use - albeit the sound could be better - from our present television.
I really enjoyed this episode, for some reason. I'm wondering why Raymundo invited all three ladies to the opening - he didn't lack for guests, and he didn't really seem interested in any of them, except maybe Maruja.
I've also been thinking Monica will end up with Ernesto. How depressing. I say let her run off with Alonso the Dumb, and Lorena can have Ernesto.
There is research that demonstrates that small children learn best when the teacher's voice is amplified--not even just children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Direct speakers and earphones of high quality eliminate some of the sounds from frequencies that are not necessary and not pleasant, while emphasizing others. I routinely use the equalizers on my sound systems and speakers for that reason--I like some sounds better than others. Also, with ordinary room sound as "ambient noise" you would be surprised how much actual decibel force there is at any given time, which has nothing to do with the television sound. Each additional inch and foot of distance you have from the sound source causes some of the sound to get compromised in transmission across the space, and lost to the ceiling and floor. Headphone concentrate the highest quality sound right on the eardrum.

Jeanne
Carmel, good to hear from you and thanks....and yes, if those writers would JUST listen to US, they would reformat these romantic couplings pronto.
Jeanne, as always, thanks so much for your professional take on headphones. Even as a child, I had trouble hearing some very high pitches and years of working with high volume aerobic music probably hasn't helped either. Thank God my vision is still good (for a "woman my age"...don't you just hate that phrase!)
Beware, thou headset users.
Carmel, forgot to address this....I think the reason all three women were invited was just another one of those telenovela tired tricks to get all the characters involved with ALL the other characters in some way...only one clinic, one taxi driver, one boardinghouse, one shopping mall and all the homes, large or small, seem to be located mysteriously close to one another.
Hubby's aids are nice digital aids, with his high frequency loss, and were about $3700 given the type he needed, but some aids definitely go way higher. If you can delay hearing loss by not exposing your ears to loud volumes over long periods of time, it's better. He didn't get his aids until age 72, but some of our students have had them since infancy.
Cochlear implants for deaf individuals begin at about $50,000 per ear and have additional associated costs over time. Insurance pays for cochlear implants in most cases now--it requires brain surgery to implant to bypass the ear and go straight to the auditory nerve. So regardless of what amplification/hearing assistive device is selected, the costs can be high.
Save that hearing!
Jeanne
I don't think that it will be that bad for us to listen to Spanish telenovela in headphones - probably hard rock would have such effect aganst what you are warning us.
Well, I just saw the info that the Guapos will be replaced with the new show Cuidado con Angel - with William Levy as protagonist. This show has quite a few positive reviews - may be for me it will be the one to watch!
And yes, whenever the sound is too loud in my earphones, I just move them slightly off my ears. They're still a gazillion times better than the TV speakers. It's truly marvelous.
But okay, I will, Eve. But sliding them off a little also lessens the pressure on the ears for a bit. Just sayin'
Nevertheless, I sometimes listen to an MP3 player on the subway, and it's usually Metallica or Slayer and it will probably make me go deaf, but that's all I do for ear abuse.
Nevertheless, I must agree that it's much easier to distinguish speech, song lyrics, etc. with headphones on. Even if they let in some outside noise (so that you can hear a fire alarm, or whatever) the sound is much crisper.
I don't know if TV speakers are getting worse. You'll notice that you NEVER have any trouble understanding speech in commercials. It's a sound engineering/production issue. Ambient noise, incidental music, microphone positions, room acoustics, and mushmouthed actors are a problem. I have to watch "House" with captions on, even though they are speaking English, because people talk too fast and I miss things.
It's even worse with daily soaps and telenovelas, where there's little time to fiddle with these things or redo them afterwards.
The 9PM slot after FELS will go to "Mañana es para Siempre" (MEPS) with Fernando Colunga that just started filming two days ago.
I often need to use captions for British shows and movies where the accents are impenetrable.
Nina, understand completely your point about the Brit shows. We were in England for three years and could converse with Brit neighbors just fine and could even differentiate a few accents. But they do something weird with their voices when they get on a stage or have a camera on them. Very hard for me to understand their theater speech.
Manana es Para Siempre? That's the same words they have now in the theme song for Fuego.
Jaime Camil - Aladino
BTW, we do have surround sound at our house, so maybe helps me hear the Spanish. I am still in a learning process, however, and I'm up to maybe 75 percent comprehension.
That Jaime Camil photo would scare small children.
I'm not good with spoken instructions, either. I need to see things written down.
I don't know if your theory is paranoid or not, Mike, but the people who would be messing with your sound are not the people who would profit from you buying a home theater system. So I kinda doubt there's a conspiracy.
well, Mike...on the conspiracy theory...also doesn't it just bug you that you had to replace your turntable with tapes...and then those had to be replaced with CD's. And just when you got the hang of your VCR machine, then you had to get DVD's or invest in Tivo or whatever the H...it is. Oooh, don't get me started! And then last year, us demented football/basketball fans (yep, I'm one) hardly saw any games because the new Big 10 network and Time Warner wouldn't come to an agreement.
Whew. Thanks for letting me vent. Anyone want to charge me a 100 bucks for therapy?

Yay! Lore to the rescue of Ho-nesto, who does seem to be growing on me as well. I hope that Lorena puts 2+2 together and gets 4 when she thinks back to the way she got fired from Snortensia's.
"Brief confrontation between Paula and Lorena. Paula's nasty. Lorena's dignified. And that's that." I hope when the time comes that Lorena is not as quick to forgive either Slow or Prickly Paula. She needs to let them feel the full force of their error and their bad judgment --if either has the ability to feel humility. I've not seen evidence of that yet!
Well, we'll see how Lorena handles the various forgive-and-forget issues. In real life people are slow to achieve forgiveness, even if they want to....but in these telenovelas it all seems practically instantanous! We SHALL see.
Good to hear from you Cakes...I've missed the last couple of episodes of Fuego but still read the recaps. Buenas noches!
Sergio Mayer-Explorador
He will be in a new "Mañana Es Para Siempre"
I just wanted to say that Monica trying to sabotage the chef on the opening night of her restaurant was completely unbelievable. No way would a General Manager compromise her restaurant like that and no way would a Sous Chef just hired by a celebrity chef try to sabotage him so blatantly. OK, it's a telenovela, but still. Hmmph!
