Pasión de Gavilanes, Wed. 9-10- Swamp Tio finally appears!

Two more days left!
For those following along on You Tube, we are up to the end of 192-4

Sarita and Franco visit Rosario who says that she really loved Franco but didn't know how to handle it and did bad things.

Juan overpowers Feonando and takes charge. Here Grabiela and Feo are 'eating locally.' Later, Juan manages to catch an eel that they eat further demonstrating his superiority to Feo as a wilderness guy even though he is crippled.

The guy who knows the swamp finally shows up from Canada and it turns out he Los Reyes long-lost uncle, Anibal. He is known on TW as the Swamp Tio. It's perfectly obvious that he is Ruth's father, too, which provides a reason for the resemblance between her and Libia. He organizes an expedition into the swamp to find Juan and Grabiela.

Juan modestly refuses to take off his wet shirt in front of Grabiela citing her disgust of his shirtlessness when Los Reyes were building the cabaña. We see a flashback to that early part of the novela and Grabi must have been crazy not to have wanted to see this every day.

Nice pictures to wake up to--especially the one...

I think Gabi walked up and yelled at Juan way back then just so she could get a closer look! Haha.

Mario is so ohmygawd gorgeous. I don't even watch this show but always stop to admire your shots for PDG. Thanks for the Mario moments

Ahh, shirtless Juan, thank you kindly Jean ;)

Way back when the Reyes bros first moved to the Trueba hacienda, Franco (or maybe it was Oscar) was showing Eva a picture of the whole family and commented how he and Oscar (or he and Franco if it was Oscar) looked like mom, and Juan and Libia looked like dad. Now, we find out that Ruth is their first cousin on mom's side, so maybe she took a bit from both parents? Either way, I can't wait to see Anibal and Eva's reunion. He and his family are about to go to Asia somewhere, but maybe he'll find a way to stay in touch? Either way, at least Ruth will get to know both her parents.

From today (Thursday) epi: I know he deserved it, but I was very surprised that Juan made no effort to help Feo. In his defense, he had to make a choice: help pull Feo out (and risk having to fight him), or dealing with Gabi who needs to get out so she can have medical attention ASAP.

I don't know if it's the way the preview was edited and it will make more sense when it's actually shown, but I don't see how Norma would reach Juan (in the scene where we see him carrying Gabi) before the posse led by Swamp Tio. Just saying. Thankfully, one way or another, it will all be revealed tomorrow!!!!

Good night! Could they make it any more obvious that Tio Anibal is Ruth’s father? I knew he’d have to show up before this show ended (her father, that is). And I knew that there had to be some way they’d explain why she looked too much like one of the family. (I know she's supposed to look like his sister. But, she sure looks more like Eva than him, to be sure.)

Juan David is just TOO adorable. What a cutie, handing the glass to Norma & saying, “Mamá.” This little actress has superstar written all over her... ;-)

Re: Thursday's show - I absolutely LOVE the changing dynamic between Juan & Gabriela here. Being thrown together in the swamp & having to deal with each other is like taking two fighting children & locking them in an empty room and forcing them to come to terms with each other. Not only do they stop running from each other, but once they’re forced to listen & cooperate, they actually see how similar they are. I love their scenes together now.

I can’t help but laugh every time I see Juan now. Jean is right; the dirt force field is definitely with him. It seems the more muck he falls into, the cleaner he actually looks! And his cast is STILL white!

The bit with Fern threatening Juan with the gun was just stupid. How the heck could Fernando have missed Juan? I thought it was a little misplaced of Juan to criticize Fernando for using women to improve his social standing. (Earth to Our Hero: Brothers of people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Not everyone has Franco's luck....;-)

The big finale is tomorrow. (sigh...) Although this has been a long TN, I will miss it terribly. I think I'll be hitting the YouTube favorites now & again for quite some time yet. ;-)
