Fuego Sangre - Mon. Nov 24 - A warning, whining, a departure, and a party

Juan rides back to the Hacienda.

The next day Crabi goes to tell Sof that she accepts the decision of her Pa and will leave. Dohfie doesn’t take this opportunity to get rid of her evil evil Ma, instead she tells ma she’s not going anywhere and this is her house.

The adopted lady was convinced to allow Jime and Oscar to keep the spawn despite their estranged residences thanks to Paddy Tad. They fake smooch. The orphanage lady puts down conditions though, she can visit whenever she thinks it’s necessary, and while they live separately, the kids should see both parents. Oscar takes every chance he can to slime all over Jime. She smacks him when the woman turns her back. But then smooches behind the sombrero.

Feo warns Coyote to stay away from his old lady. Pretty literally. Coyote can prove that Feo tried to do her in and threatens to tell of Feo’s plans to Gab if Feo tries anything, say, like offing Gabi. Feo wants to know WTF is your interest in her. He doesn’t answer this question. Instead he tells him that the Jefe is upset with him for going to jail to tell lies about Juan Reyes and if he were Feo he’d disappear for a while until Jefe cools off. Coyote tells him to be careful.

Crabi doesn’t want the little girls to get to see the lowlife Reyes. This is an odd orphanage, it looks like if you adopt three little girls, the orphanage will throw in three nuns as part of the deal – kind of a two –fer or three-fer as it may be.

Anyway, Sofi swears the boys only love and want to take care of them. Crabbi says no way. Abue tells her she has no vote. She then feels sorry for herself and says she’s worth nothing more than a piece of furniture here so she won’t involve herself in anything. Sofi says that’s not true but she wanders off. Abue tells her that this is only the beginning, soon Feo will drop her like a rotten egg when he finds out she’s got nothing.

Oscar tells his bros of the conditions to getting to keep the kids. Quinti confirms they will always be welcome. Pablo says he’s the big brother so he has to protect them. Juan confirms, but wishes they could have given them the place to live that he and Sof had originally planned. You know, that horrible purple room. Oh well. if they are anything like their papis they will all want to sleep in one small cramped room anyway.

Sarita goes in to see Crabbi who is at it faking injuries again. More self pity for having nothing anymore and Sofi has everything. Now she’s trying to incite hatred of Sof in the other sisters by challenging why they didn’t get anything. Sara isn’t biting though, she thinks Sof will be generous and will always take care of them. Crab is not so sure...she thinks she’ll turn her back the first chance she gets.

Pad Tad is chatting with Abue who tells him that Feo and Crabbi are in on this whole child abduction thing. Tad doesn’t believe Crabbi has anything to do with this even though he believes Feo did. Aug thinks he knows more than he’s telling, but Tad chocks it up to divine rights and the secrets of confession. Aug thinks he’s nuts for not taking care of this, kind of what we’ve been saying.

Don Aug warns him to watch out for himself because Feo is dangerous and Tad knows too much. Tad tells him it’s God’s will if he dies for this. Not exactly hon, all it takes is a serpent belt buckle wearing psycho and the world is one padre less.

Anyway, Tad says au contraire you watch out for your self too Don Augi, that he could befall a lethal "accident" for going around speaking badly to the four winds (everywhere-in all directions) about Feo. He blesses Don Aug and tells him they needn’t another accident and may God always be with him. Darn, the telenovela Gods are at it again. Man, I hope they are too busy playing hopscotch in the clouds to have heard this little warning.

Feo tells Crabi goodbye, he’s going on a long trip and he’s not sure if or when he’ll be back, he thinks it depends on whether she will miss him or not. He will carry her kisses next to him. He kisses her in a creepy way and she sighs for him after he’s gone.

Next we see Feo gets a telegram.

Sofi hands over the girls to Juan and he promises to take good care of them. The boys parade the babies around and talk about heating bottles and everything in a bain marie. Quinti comes in and proclaims who ever said the kitchen is only for old women with these masculine specimens.

Sofi worries that the babes are ok. Eva reminds them that Juan raised his bros. They think boys are different. Eva says yeah but don’t forget he also raised Libia. Sofi thinks yeah all those Reyes lost because of our Papa. Eva refuses to accept that Hector could have been responsible for that. Sara says Abue thinks Mami lied. Jime wishes it was made up by Crabbi so their loves wouldn’t be in jeopardy. All I have to say is, duh.

The boys then feed the girls who are in various stages of caring about eating. Eventually they are covered in candied yam mush or something else puke yellow. Those poor babies are wailing!!! And that encourages the boys to sing. More wailing as you can imagine. Another duh.

After a long bout of this and every Reyes is sticky, the girls finally begin to fall asleep.

Until......Pablo arrives screaming after they get to sleep. That earns him a dousing in milk. Sofi comes to pick up them. They sing again this time sounding better. They are clearly practicing for their live tour, which unfortunaetely has now been cancelled in the US. What a shame. It would have been great to see these three singing!!

Dias despues. All of a sudden Sofi has friends. Liliana comes to visit her. She invites the gals to a party at her house. Sofi isn’t sure but gives in to the peer pressure.

Juan is getting congrats from the bank for how prosperous he has made the hacienda. The banker invites him to a party. I’m seeing a link here. This guy knew their parents, and reminds them that humanity was important to them.

The girls get ready with nuns and kids in tow.

The guys get ready....in-between jingling of spurs. They say they have to join society to earn respect. Oscar worries about the money that someone has to be responsible for costs. Oscar fancies himself to one day hope to be the greatest ranch holder in the region.

OK, my transmission screwed up here and they ran commercials over this part so I’m not sure exactly where the girls were, but they were saying their only choice is to ask Juan, but later because now they have to get to the party. If anyone can help here, please do.

The three boys are illustrating to Pablo and the ladies how to take care of the babies. Eva says she took care of three Elizondos so she already knows -now get out.

Abue teases Crabbi that she has lost nothing with Feo being gone. She wonders why he hates her. He doesn’t, just doesn’t like the way she lives. He tells Crabbi to stop whining about Feo, he just wanted her money and now that she doesn’t have it, he left. He knows Crabi still longs for Feo but surely wherever Feo is, he’s not thinking about Crabbi. Nope, he’s doing Raquel instead. Apparently she sent the telegram.

Crabbi is whining again this time to a lawyer about the babies not really being Sofi’s and that maybe it’s a trick and the lawyer confirms if that is true then the will is void and she will be the only heir.

All of a sudden the three Reyes show up at the party. The owner’s daughter and two of her extremely gorgeous friends are introduced to them. The boys cave to the pressure of the chests and go to enjoy tequilas, etc. with these women. Predictably, the sisters Elizondo show up just then and make funny faces.

Hi Fuego...we've been away and then had another heart/hospitalization scare so I haven't seen or read anything about this show in days....soooo...it DOES seem like things are happening. Definitely some new stuff since I checked in.

Loved your "old lady"...."literally" Poor Gabi. But at least she'll always have that strange albino man Coyote. He grows on one, doesn't he?

Thanks for a fine recap.

great recap. I think the girls were discussing a problem with the harvest and water during your transmission glitches. But I didn't catch what they needed to talk to Juan about. I only started watching the show regularly about a week ago. Thank heaven for Caray! Caray!

The girls' faces were priceless as they entered the room: Buenas_tardes! *You're gonna die, jerks!* And the guys got so frightened they almost drowned in their tequilas. :-)

Thanks for the recap!

Thanks for the recap. Wouldn't it be more fun not to warn Feo that something bad will happen to him and just let it happen? :-) I love Coyote. He's the only one that really ever stands up to Feo.

Thanks for the 'cap, Fuego...The problem with the Elizondo crop is that w/o the irrigatio water from the "ojo de agua", the crop will fail. They have to talk to Juan about getting some water. i don't see a problem, not sure why they were worked up about it. It's not like they are enemies...How did the Reyesrobles pay off the banker that debt? With the income from the home bakery? They haven't even brought in a crop yet. Maybe they have something more valuable planted amid the corn in that field...What is with the three penguins in attendance at the Elizondo's, but when the cahamcas are dropped of at the Reyesrobles for the first time, they take the day off, and leave our heroes to fend for themselves. Odd,odd,odd...Coyote can put the fear into our boy Feo, eh? Seems that Tio still has some sway on things on the outside, but didn't he make a promise to Primo Pedro to keep the nariz limpia? Can't wait to see the sparks fly at the soire' tonight; I think that the boys deserve a little diversion from their miserable "love" lives about now, doesn't look like that's going to happen, tho...

I wish I could have had a nun when my kids were little! Do you get one nun for each child? Hmmm...

I hope Sarita wasn't dumb enough to buy Crabi's warnings that Sofi will hold her ownership of the hacienda over her sisters' heads, but Sarita seems to be the most gullible of the three and also the quickest to believe the worst of people. (Kind of an odd combination!)

I also wondered about the 3-free-nuns deal. My sister has had five kids and I think she would have appreciated having a nun around for a few days.

The food-throwing scene would have been funny if only the guys had wiped their faces afterwards. The sight of their slimy yellow faces made me want to cry. The little girls didn't seem to be enjoying themselves much either.

At least one of the guys dropped his tequila last night. Something tells me it wasn't the cheap stuff, either. Oh, the horror.

I'm still hoping that predictions of Coyote's death are premature, but all this extra screen time he's been getting really does seem like a setup to soften us up for the kill. :-(

I kept hoping Ricardo Uribe would walk in on Feo and Raq last night, but no such luck.

You know, if you think about it you can't really blame the guys. The girls don't really want to have anything to do with them so why can't they flirt a little. Except for Oscar because he is still married. At least I think he is.

now that the babies are officially adopted, how is the nuns are still hanging around? did they get adopted, too? what a caravan that's got to be, going back and forth between the two haciendas/flophouses.

could they find a more ridiculous-looking wig for Raquel? yikes!

and I love how they conjured up a bunch of "society" after years in which it seemed there wasn't another eligible man or woman in town except the Reyes and the Elizondos.

So if one of the babies is believed to be Sophia's how is it that she can be adopted by someone else? Sophia would have to prove that she was the mother and then would have to give up her parental rights. Oh, wait, the foil in my beanie needs replacing.

yeah, Connie, someone might need to use a telephone to call for a DNA test or something, and we know that's crazy talk verging on science fiction in Cd. Serdan.

I agree about Raquel's hair. I thought it was relatively okay a few months ago, but the new style is almost as bad as her Darth Helmet hair from LFMB. And I have NEVER liked that color on her. A nice rich coffee brown with some warm caramel highlights would be delicious. I mean pretty.

Love your picture, Sara! :-)

Good point about the phone, Renee. I don't suppose they will be allowed to use the dedicated panty hotline for something so frivolous as arranging a blood/DNA test.

They don't seem to have a telegraph office either. However, Capricho could probably run to the necessary location and stomp the message in Morse code with his hooves.

And Capricho would do it much faster too. Raquel is just nasty and stupid. Right up Feo's alley.

So this banker comes out of the blue to invite the Reyes bros, and even knew the Reyes padres way back when but hasn't bothered to contact the bros in all these years. And the Reyes harvest of what (weeds or weed?) was great, apparently, since they paid off the debt in less than a year. Ya sure, sounds likely to me. Now that Coyote is a favorite, like Rosario was, doesn't bode well for him. Thanks for a great recap, F de R de R. G in CA

Fuego: Thanks for the recap.

You know, I was wondering about any connection between Ricardo Uribe's return and Raquel inviting Feo over for a 'nooner. Looks like she's gotten a new wig and partial face lift. At least it's not purple.

Coyote has warned Feo to be careful, yet there he goes to what looks like the same hotel room he and Gabi shared to meet Raquel.

Feo may try to get Coyote, but El Jefe will only send another soldier, but, I hope we find out why Coyote's so interested in Gabi first - if Coyote has to be among the departed.

If Sofi's smart, she'll ask the people at this hacienda if they have a phone.

Not only is it strange that this previously-unmentioned hacienda is so full of lively people who know Sofi's and Juan's families, but they don't even seem to be the same people who went to that awful party that Gabi threw for the girls (you remember, the one with pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey).

Will someone post this episode with the others? Thank You.

It is now posted.

All I have to say about last night's episode is 3 idiots and 3 babies..... It was pretty ridiculous seeing them get drenched with milk and baby food.

It was also funny seeing Rosendo carry a baby bag with milk bottles in the side.

Looks like the 3 dudes got busted by the Elizondo girls. And it looks like they will try to get the girls jealous.

Ibarramedia

Thanks , Fuego. Three Men and Three Babies. That was a cute scene. Seeing Mighty Joe Juan with the tiny girls was sweet. There's nothing like a big man holding a little child, and Eduardo seems to be very comfortable holding a baby. On the other hand, watching Ferd and Raq at the love shack was...icky. Almost as icky as watching Coyote worshipping at Crabby's little unceppelfeet. I think that he is her long lost son. How else can you explain his admiration for the Queen of Mean ?????

Thanks for the recrap, Fuego. I ws too tired to watch and an depending on the recaps right now to keep up.

I wish I'd had a nun for my child....I might not have become a Protestant. (wicked grin)

Cakes/Jardinera - I'll post a MOG photo whenever/if ever I get one. Photographer really screwed the bride's family: they sent the B team as soon as they got their money instead of the real photographer, the whole photo shoot was like a FELS episode. One of the bridesmaids was directing the photo shoots. Gah! Right out of Mexidoom.
I could take pix of the outfit itself hanging on a hanger. Stay posted.
I don't know if this will work, but here's a picture of the quilt I made the kids:

That must have been a lot of work, Doris. It's lovely.

CAKES/Jardinera - I don't know if this will work, but I took pictures of the outfit. Needed to anyway for my sewing forums.

the little girls are cute and it was fun for a few seconds seeing them with the guys, but it was too ridiculous how the heretofore ever-present nuns abandoned these three campesinos with the babies. also where were the fawning Quintina and Eva during that spew-fest?

plus, no disrespect to the honorable Reyes bros, but in this day and age, what self-respecting adoption agency anywhere would allow three infants to be cared for by three grown men who may or may not actually be related to the girls? oh, right, the same one that was about to give the kids to a couple they had never seen one day, to Gabriela and Fernando another day, then gave them to the supposed aunt and uncle of the babies the next day, all the while never bothering to find out if Sofia and Juan are the verdadero padres.

Oh what a world, what a world! I feel so cheated! Those boys got covered in baby goo and there was no subsequent shower scene! Ack! So very wrong.

So the girls need to have the nuns around, but the boys are good to go? Doesn't say much for the sisters. Sophia, Jimena and Saraita, not the nuns. I love nuns, collect them actually. Not however the human kind, that would just be wrong!

Doris the quilt is beautiful and what an awesome gift. My mother is a quilter and we all love our quilts. Truly a special, from the heart, gift.

JudyB, I hope all is well in your home. I'm thinking lots of good thoughts for you.

You collect nuns?? You mean like the punching nun puppet and such?

I have a little wind up nun that has sparks shooting from her mouth when she walks across my desk. MM

Maybe Coyote is connected to Ricardo Uribe to watch over Gabriela. Wasn't it implied that Ricardo and Gabriela were at least friends, if not lovers? She did buy him that snake belt buckle,.

He could be but I think he's more connected to El Unibrow. I wonder if Pedro will come back into the picture. He never really fit. Can't wait to see Ricardo.

I do have the boxing nun and the nunzilla. I also have racing nuns, a bowling set with nuns as the pins, a nun-chuck for catipulting little nuns. I have books and art and cocktail napkins, some vintage figurines and a Playmobil nun who looks a little like Darth Vador. There is a plethora of nun stuff out there. Someone gave me a nun finger puppet in 1990 and the "habit" was born. Bwahahahahahaha!

Great recrap! I feel asleep during part of the show.

Do you think El Jefe/Tio will turn state's evidence against Ricardo Uribe and possibly Fernando? It would be a win/win for everyone except the bad guys. Pedro would be so pleased...

I am relatively new to telenovelas and always pay attention to those who have been doing this a while. I don't necessarily see the writing on the wall concerning the symbolism. I sure hope El Coyote stays around. This stuff is addictive.

Molly: ha ha ha!!!! Love your "habit"...are you a reformed Catholic school student? (I am & I'll confess to fantasizing about the whole nun gig when I was little & knew nothing)

I'm glad I fell asleep & missed the Racqui/Feo stuff. Ew.

How many capitulos left? I don't think my beanie is going to last much longer.

Sister Maggarita

Thanks for the recap Fuego--I always pick up lots of important details after reading recap.
JudyB--I also want to send my good wishes to you and hubby. Hopefully watching all this silliness gives you some good "mental health" breaks.
Molly, I'm right there with you in wondering why there wasn't a BIIIG group shower after the baby feeding (and I don't mean for the babies).
Can't wait for the big party...a party in Mexidoon looks much funner than any parties I've been to in my hometown.
"Creemelo"

And hopefully there won't be any pin the tail on the donkey nonsense.

How about a shower scene with our usual boys and Coyote. How many of us would like that? Hmmm...Molly, Creemelo, who else?

I have no objections to another shower scene. Especially if it's long and there's no talking. Hopefully there will be something like that on Monday night, when it's my turn to recap again (tomorrow's my last night on QE). :)

Thanks for the good wishes guys...yes, watching this silly stuff is a good "de-stressor"...and I still pick up new Spanish words or phrases every time.

I don't usually like bald men but there is just something about Coyote...

Thanks for the recap, Fuego. I strayed over to the dancing channel during the first half.

The bit with the three men and three babies was fun, though. It was comic relief that was integral to the plot, not just pasted in.
Connie's right--I could have used a nun or two when I had 3 under the age of 2 (single and twins).

Last night, Discovery Channel had a UFO show with a lot of coverage from Mexico. They said UFOs were very big time there, so maybe that explains some of the strangeness in Mexiloon.

Also strange that the area's high society is taking such a gala turn. I was talking to the tv, asking all the hermanos to please take off their sombreros in the house. Just waiting to see how they handle their chicas at the party.

Doris, that was lovely work on both the dress and the quilt.
La Paloma

Thanks K for the super recap as always. I guess I get the silly party freakout scene. I think I need one of those aluminum foil lined beanies for tonights recapping insanity.

I liked how the E. girls need one nun per baby to deal with them but the R. boys were abandoned to all but Quintina's mocking and a pre-adolescent boy's two cents. The nuns must be the babies' real mothers with the amount of times the cuties yell MAAAAA. The left over food fight wasn't so cute but the whole scene was rather charming.

Connie, I think it is the voice. I was watching Coyote last night and his voice just holds my attention. It has the perfect timbre.

I just hope if they finally bathe, that they brought the broken shower curtain to the new house!

We never got to see the lovely Damien in any state of undress either. I saw more of him on Dancing with the Stars! I won't hold out hopes of seeing any more Coyote skin except his head!

Sis Mag...I am the only one in my family who did not go to Catholic school. I am a public school refugee. However, both my kids go to Catholic school. I to used to consider if I had the calling as a child. Given my penchant for the shower scenes on this show, I think not!

Molly and Connie and other Coyote Fannies:
Yessssss, let's get that boy into a shower pronto!
I don't know what it is about him, he's no GQ cover model for sure, it's his bearing and they way he talks (yes Molly I have definitely fallen for his "timbre", LOL!)
Okay, if we get someone to pour Karo syrup over Coyote, maybe a shower in the nearest hacienda????
"Creemelo"

I like Coyote because he is ultra-cool. He's like Fonzie, except for his clothes and his speech, and he doesn't hang out at a diner with a bunch of teenagers or live in Crabi's attic...

Okay, maybe not so much like Fonzie after all. But cool. Aaaaaaaaay!

Cree...not to be confused with his timber? Bwahahahahahaha

Maybe cool like the memory of Fonzie? He does kind of have that bad boy, James Dean mistique. Or maybe a young Clint Eastwood.

Yep, that's it for me too. Coyote personifies cool. Cold as ice maybe, but definitely cool, and really, he's sort of cute in an eery way. I like him and hope he continues to keep Feo in check. Thanks folks...

Anotehr Ruthless episode though. What the heck did she just crawl back under the rock she came from????

Oh - I know who this guy is at the hacienda. He's the guy who asked Juan to ride at the big jaripeo for the chili pepper festival. Remember, Juan won all that money and then made even more playing cards with Feo.

I, too, wondered why there's suddenly this upper crust group throwing social events...why isn't Crabi invited?
And, on the Coyote subject, I'm afraid I don't believe they'll let him last til the end, waaaaa. There's only one solution: buy the DVD and play it over and over..
Does anybody know if there's a chance they'll release this novela on DVD?
"Creemelo"

Oh almost forgot: ITA about Coyote being Mexico's answer to the Fonz (Aaaaaaaeeee!) but with a little spark of danger....
"Creemelo" sighing hopelessly

Based on the amazingly high ratings this show has received in Mexico and in the US, I assume that there will be DVDs. I don't think they do DVDs for everything (I just checked, they didn't do it for Amar Sin Limites) but I can't imagine they'd pass up the chance to make more money off of FELS.

I believe there's also a "soundtrack" (or soon will be), featuring the vocal talents of Juan and his brothers, and one or more of the sisters. Basically whoever/whatever was supposed to be in that musical tour.

Thanks Julie! My sister, who doesn't speak a word of Spanish, is now totally hooked on this show and is desolate that she didnt see it from the beginning. So now maybe she can look forward to the DVD.
"Cree"

"They said UFOs were very big time there, so maybe that explains some of the strangeness in Mexiloon"
. . . So perhaps that's it, and not a nuclear waste effect?

Thanks for all the compliments re: the sewing projects. It keeps me off the streets and out of the malls, and I watch my telenovela tapes while working in the sewing room. LOL
