Fuego - Tues, 10 Feb.- ( #194) - El Agua está repleta de tiberones: The water is teeming with sharks

The title comes from February 6 on my new Spanish phrase a day calendar. It may come in handy, just fill in repleta de ...... with what ever alarming teeming is going on in your life. Right now on FELS, el aqua está repleta de cadáveres. Now that we have the official murder ledger so ably kept by Ibarramedia, the official list of what Mutton Chops doesn't know presented by Dorado Dave and the funerals yet to be held list given to us by Doris, thanks to all for these invaluable lists.
Below is my tribute to the beloved guapo, Coyote who slipped from our screens while I was away in Mexico. I had so hoped he would grace our evenings until the end, but it was not to be. So I give you my next door neighbor, a young coyote who comes by to visit looking for a delicious lunch of luscious quail, but I digress -

Coyote, we hardly knew ya'

Now back to tonight's story and my penultimate recap of FELS. The thrilling threesome recreate their romp in the hay while the fake Feo burns in his big black truck and again we get to see the bishop excommunicate the shocked Gabi while PaddyTad does a jig of joy on the side. Juan once again identifies the vigincita medal that was on LIbia the night of her death, thus confirming suspicions that the wicked Feo is behind this too. Then Gabi finds out Feo is dead, Feo hides in the cave and plots. Gabi's heart wins over the girls again, such blind devotion. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on.....

Gabi comes down the stairs again but doesn't collapse at the news of Feonando's supposed demise. She waxes into blaming the Reyes for Feo's death and then blames Libia for provoking so much unhappiness in her life. The sappy sisters rush to reassure her but she doesn't want anyone with her, they should leave her alone. The girls hold hands then hold their respective sombreroed Reyes. It looked like a dance step rehearsed well.

We begin the new action with the ridiculous soiree of the chocolate and churros that the Maria's provide and the victims Tio Alvin (I mean Vicente) and Nabor... endure, ahhh, the high cost of chocolate.

Juan in his inimitable fashion tells Sofia she is worrying about her mother who isn't her mother and as he stutters and garbles his words, it is hard to believe he says nothing but he does confuse Sofia. Above all she loves her mother because she is .... Juan tells her she is a good daughter and a good woman. They hug.

Feo cries in the grave site of Libia in the eternal flame light maintained by the brothers or does the magic flower also supply eternal torches, when he hears voices and it isn't any of his victims like Rosario. Feo recedes while the Reyes come in with fresh torches and the medal of the virgin. They tell Lidia her death is sort of avenged her killer has paid with his own life. Clearly they are sorry they couldn't throttle someone.

Sofia yells for Mama over and over and breaks into Gabi's bedroom to see a nervous Eva who shirks each time she hears Mama.
The Chocolate scene gets sillier each moment. Tio Alvin decides to sing a song but it is "No me Casere" I will not marry. Oh well, lots of silly giggles, at least he is singing to them their standards aren't so high.
The Elizondo sisters mount a search party for Mama who has been missing too long maybe 5 minutes, maybe six? Does anyone bother to check the brandy bottle level?

And just as Juan is ready to offer fresh hot bread to the grave mound, he spots the manly foot print and realizes the grave must have been sullied by Feo. The boys fan out waving their torches, After not finding him, they cross the smoky cavern and Juan sees or senses the fetid Feo who is sweating like a pig with gangrene. The happy search is halted by Rosendo who comes rushing to the cave entrance to get them to aid in the new search for the missing brandied Gabriela. She meanwhile wanders in a garden with funereal flower arrangements around and a newly heaped grave site, is she in the graveyard or .... and there is Feo who wounded and all found her first as he lurks again in the bushes while she says she was his love his.... She would give anything to see him return again. she lays across the grave mound while the black crow perches on her shoulder in certain views. Or is this the raven ready to croak, "nevermore!" Feo looks on as if he knows just what she can give to see him again.
Suddenly, Mama is being led into her sumptuous bedroom by the three girls, she grabs at a nearby brandy snifter but the girls beg her not to drink more. Instead they want to give her her heart medicine. Is this a good idea to mix with the obvious quantities of brandy? Gabi, repeats, Fernando, where are you. The girls oh so wisely decide that all three of them better stay with her every minute of this entire night. Sofia pulls rank and insists on the first shift or is it the whole night. She stays with her still in her long lovely leather coat and hugs her sot of a not-mom. She simpers that, It hurts her to see her mother so, she only wants her to be well, to go on into the future, to be strong.

Meanwhile Feo is slumping on Libia's grave saying at least Gabi really loves him, he heard her say it. It is the fault of all the others that they have been pulled apart and vanquished by the others. Textbook Psych 101, I'm okay but they are bad....He snivels about revenge but the gangrene is gaining. Do the viewers wonder with me why does Libia's grave always look freshly lain. I don't want to think about what this might really mean.

The boys and uncle are praying that Libia pardon them that they have not gotten justice for her yet but they are not giving up. The brotherhood of bread decides to be happy forget their sad times and Quintina pursues Oscar around the bread table until she gets a kiss, lots of bright hearts come out of her head. She swoons again as she gets a kiss from Tio V. Pablito gallantly decides to pick up Tia from the floor as she rested after her kiss with tio Alvin, errr Vicente. Pablito the sincere one says he will be her principe azul, prince charming.

Mama Gabi doesn't want to see Sofia, tells her to get out. Don't touch me, I don't want you near me, channeling Root no doubt. Sofia can't believe her girlish charms won't warm her mom but Gabi says, I hate you, Over and over. Eva walks in and says tell her for once and all Gabi why you hate her and treat her so badly. Tell her the truth, but no we have to switch to a scene with horses and fools.

Juan rides off, Feo shoots from the bushes at a line of sitting ducks, I mean ranch hands and brothers, but hits Rigo instead, great, it only knocks him silly and no one worries about other shots from the bushes while they brush him off.
Paddy Tad counts his blessings and thanks God while he looks like he is ready to settle in for a long nap in the confessional, but not so fast, PTad, your favorite confessor climbs in to the other side, can't you just smell the rot of the cigar butt....

Eva questions, why are you insisting on being quiet? (empeñarse en callar). Gabi raises up and says are you going to let this woman mistreat me when I am at death's door? Sofia simpers, Eva persists and Gabi spews venom about how she hated Sofia because she did such bad things to her. Eva wants Gabi to tell the truth. Even though Gabi keeps up the insults to Sofia, Sofia yells at Eva to leave her poor little mother alone. Then Gabi begins to blame Eva for bad mothering to have a child with her own husband then abandon the child and not take care of her. How could Eva be so heartless She dedicated herself to right the situation. Suggesting that she was so saintly in taking Eva's neglected child from her. Finally Gabi brings it to a vote, Sofia can choose Eva or her. It is going to be Slowfia's fault either way.

Back with the organ music in minor chords of doom, But PadTad can't avoid hearing that Feo was foiled in bombing in his latest attempt to off the Reyes brothers. Feo reminds him that confessions are secret forever. PadTad falls out of the confessional clutching his chest and scattering demons from this mind.

Gabi snaps, go with her and forget about me. You have to choose, It's my last word, her or me? Eva takes the other part and says don't suffer for my part. Don't cry I would never make you make a choice between Gabi and me or to sacrifice yourself. It is useless to demand the truth from you again, she sneers at Gabi. She is sure God will end her suffering soon. She leaves, Sofia runs after Eva while Gabi grabs her self and moans loudly, Sofia runs back in and comforts this worthless wretch. Gabi thanks her for at least not abandoning her . But then shifts right back into wanting to make all suffer for her sake.
Finally some hugs. Franco appears in Sarita's bedroom. She feels it is her fault that her mother is suffering so. Franco says it is not her fault , it hurts him to see her suffering so, don't cry my love.

Oscar says he loves J and together they can conquer whatever adversity. She returns that he makes her so happy.
Sofia describes the disgusting scene with her mother and Eva and how Gabi demanded a choice but Eva sacrifice for her and said don't make a choice . Wasn't it Solomon who demanded the two competing mothers cut a baby in half to end the dispute. The real mother said no give him to the other but save hin, thus revealing her real motherly love. Juan can't spit out the truth either but then at least we are treated to a triptych of kissing Elizondos and Reyes.

Then the evil mother in the looking glass thinks about how hot Feo was and longs for his..... She sits down and has a serious talk with the mirror: Finally I am finished with lament and the humiliations. I will carry my pain and sadness alone deep in my heart. Yeah right, fat chance Mommy Dearest. But if I can't be happy in love NO one else can either. Ah, the true Gabriela speaks from the core of her evil heart.

Feo is in the cave, then suddenly dreaming Gabi sees him in her bed as he clamps a hand over her mouth before she can get a scream out. Back in the cave, good golly miss Molly, the cave is angry, the cave is caving is the cave going to crush the brothers? Is this another bomb set by our frisky Feo? It doesn't look good.

I have to protest here, I have been a devoted recapper and I feel really really cheated that I didn't get any deaths to report tonight. No es justo, no es justo. The villains are nasty and unrepenting right into the credits roll.

Cheryl, so glad you are with us these last few weeks of Tele Novela Fun.
My TV is old and dark, some of the scenes in the cave etc I can hardly see what's going on. So thanks as always for filling in the gaps.
THanks for the coyote pic, I love wildlife.
"Creemelo", still sniveling a bit for my Coyote.

I was just going to ask how Fernando got to spy on Gabriela in the Cemetery amidst the black Ravens purched atop the tombstone. Everybody went out to search for her yet Fernando got there before anyone. I guess he used mental telepathy since they somehow must share a psychic connection. Laff.

How did Gabriela assume that the new mound is where Fernando or his victim was buried?

Someone asked last night how Fernando killed his victim, well Feo shot him off camera. Then later drasgged his body to Libia's tomb. I think he also stole some money since it appeared he was working a cash register. Though, this was not indicated at all.

We see Gabi talking to herself in the mirror while brushing her hair. A little while later the ponytail is no more and her hair is tied up in a bun.

Not to derail our discussions with an Off Topic Comment, But I saw Betty La Fea last night and tonight. Marcella and Patricia sounded just like Dra. Hotlips herself Leonora Castaneda. Brought me some flashbacks of her.

Another thing, I have a feeling that Cuidado Con El Angel will be heading to Ultimos Capitulos too. Just judging dfrom the ads since I don't follow it closely.

Ibarramedia

Does anyone know if Fuego is on an hour later tonight? My TV listing has it on at 10:00 pm.

On the scheduling question something's amiss because on Tontas they gave previews for Thursday not Wednesday. Our tv schedule guide is so constipated I can't bear to look at it...I'll just find out when I turn on the tv tonight.

Cheryl, wonderful to have you back. You worked in Poe, the Old Testament, and Good Golly Miss Molly all in one recap. Way to go, lady!

Loved your "sot of a not-mom". Maybe we should make an acronym of that.

Thanks for the recap Cheryl. You cleared up som stuff for me. Either I was really tired or they were speaking too fast. I just couldn't concentrate. I notice my schedule is for an hour later too. Good think I checked. I don't want to miss anything in these last weeks.

Last week it was OPEN THE BOX. This week it is FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TELL HER ALREADY!

Cheryl-thanks for the recrap and welcome home! Can't wait to watch my recording of this episode.

La telenovela está repleta de tonteria.

Gosh, ole Feo really gets around! Cave to hacienda/graveyard/back to cave/field to shoot at the hermanos tontos/confessional. For a guy who just had a bullet removed (and no anesthesia!) he’s quite mobile. I’m impressed. Maybe Scotty beams him up . . .

Yes, you are right about King Solomon, and Eva takes the King Solomon road. Yet more religious/biblical undertones.

Isn't a crow often seen as a sign of death?

Well even though FELS has become more exciting we all know it will end next week. So, in future, how about…..FELS..the musical. Yes friends who will forget the opening as the curtain rises on the busy scene in front of hacienda San Augustin. The workers stop and gather ‘round Mariachis, who break into song.., (My Adobe Hacienda- Eddy Howard, Gene Autry and others)( The lyrics are quasi original-the tunes are shamelessly borrowed from well known sources)

In FELS adobe hacienda
Lives every nut in Mexico
Crazies spill from every corner
Even from the patio

Loud cricket sounds won’t ever drown
Discordant voices raised on high
In FELS adobe hacienda
Life and love just make you cry

In FELS adobe hacienda nested only God knows where
Dogs and horses are the smart ones
Every human’s barely there

When setting sun says the long day is done
Rope climbing hombres shun the stairs
In FELS adobe hacienda
The looniness is everywhere

Or who can forget Juan singing... ( West Side Story)

Sofia, my girlfriend’s name is Sofia
And suddenly I’ve found
That you can really drown in tears…

You’ll leave the theater humming Franco’s delightful… (My Fair Lady)

I’m getting married in the morning
Maybe divorced by afternoon
Don’t say I’m crazy
I’m certainly not lazy
That’s just the way it is in Mexidoon…

You’ll feel a tug at your heart strings as Sofia offers…. (Desert Song- way back even before my time)

Juan alone to be my own
He alone to suffer my mood swings….

Yes friends it’s FELS -the Musical. See it with someone you absolutely can’t stand. You’ll never be bothered by them again!

Abuelo P

FELS is on an hour later EST, due to
futbol.
After the last FELS episode, Cristina will have the cast on. It s/b fun to see Fernando & Gabriela as real people. I saw the cast of Destilando Amor on her show & Juan (Eduardo Yañez) has a cute personality.
MEPS has Sergio Sendal, the bad guy in Destilando. I really like him.
Hope I can stay awake for tonights episode.

Cheryl, an excellent and fun to read recap, thank you.

The spark and vitality infusing the last few weeks has dimmed with the murders of Coyote and Ruth. Their demise was premature as the drama is noticeably lessened by the absence of these two intense, interesting characters. It would have been nice to have them around until the end. Now the only action will be the Reyes' hunt to "find Fernando" and for us to see if and when Crabi meets her maker. Diana in MA

Abuelo P! Good to see you again--and I Love love love your shameless Broadway tunes knockoff ROFLMAO!!!
But doggonit, now I'm going to be humming "Get me to the Church on time" all morning...
"Creemelo"

I'm so, so glad you came back in time to recap the last two Tuesdays, Cheryl!

I sympathize with you on your lack of exciting deaths to recap. At this point, I'll be happy just to get to recap Feo's arm falling off, if we are so lucky as to see that happen.

I LOVED the Return of the Bun scene! She makes her little declaration and puts her hair up, as if to say that the old Gabi is back and she's through being Mrs. Nice Guy. LOL, no, Bitchy Gabi never went away. She just wore her hair different for a little while.

Thanks for the welcoming back messages, amigos. Abuelo P, you are so hilarious with your FELSBroadway tunes. It would be more in keeping with the madcap plot and they are halfway there with a song for almost each episode.

Ibarramedia, I am thinking that Gabriela was so woozy from dipping her lips in the snifter that she just picked a fresh mound but the editing was again kind of absurd. I guess the comic pop up character was the wounded Feo who seemed to be everywhere first without visible means of transportation. And how did the graveyard, the cave, the bakery and the hacienda all get so close together.

I love the Cristina wrap-ups too with the cast when a big telenovela ends. And I agree Variopinta that Yañéz is delightful in person and so funny and sweet. I am still trying to figure out why he didn't make it big in US movies, he is such a powerful actor and stage presence.

I will have to check the TV schedule for tonight too, guess the big game rules I don't know what will happen in mountain time yet.

Thanks, Cheryl, for the great recrap. That very sick Feo can sure get around; from the back of the cave to the graveyard in the blink of an eye, back to the cave, to the field to shoot at the boys. (They didn't even investigate the shot- WTF?!), to the confessional, doesn't he ever stop? And w/o his black F150. Feo tells PTad that he (Tad) can't divulge what he (Feo) has just confessed, due to confidentiality. Yeah, right, the fact that Feo was there is not confidential, and the imminent threat to so many would surely demand that he tell all those interested that Feo ESTA' VIVO!! But, alsa, we know that everyone will find out the Mexidoon way. So stupid, the scene where Crabi tells Sofia that she doesn't want her there, and Slofia just sticks around to be insulted. (Go get a sister to watch mama, YA!) I, too, caught the Saloman parallel in the scene with Eva. WHat a perfectopportunity for EVA to tell Sofia the truth, and stop this horrible b.s. forever. Looks like Crabi is putting on the weighted gloves now, she declared war a few episodes ago, now she is really going to be a bitch. Should be interesting to see what these goofy writers will come up with...

Julie, I think the return of the Bun was a turning signal too. They lingered on the mirror scene so we could let it sink in, the Bitch is back, as if she ever was anything else. So funny.

I thought she and Sofia were going to laugh last night at their mutual crying scene the tears were flowing, and as Abuelo P sings for us, you can really drown in tears.

Willa and I are off to the river for a jaunt, yesterday was cold and blustery here, at least by Abq. standards.

Oh, Cheryl, is that a recent pic of el coyote? This time of year they look so ratty around here (WA), yours is quite dapper!

In the cave scene when Feo was scurrying to find a place to hide, was it my imagination or was he favoring the wrong arm?

Did Pad Tad even know that Feo was dead?

Ok, be honest now, how many of you wanted Pad to take the big stick and slam it into Feo's face through the confessional screen? Me....that's 1!

Dave, this coyote is a very young adult, born last spring so he does look spiffy doesn't he. The picture was taken in late December.

Thanks for the hilarious recap Cheryl! I loved your tribute to Coyote.

Last night I noticed they changed the date of the last capitulo - now it's supposed to end on the night of Monday, the 23rd!

Okay, I figured it out - there's a soccer game on tonight - so no FELS. That is why the fin got moved up a day.

Oh great, the mystery is solved! It's probably the US v. Mexico game.

Melissa,
FELS is on, just an hour late EST it's on at 10:00 instead of 9:00

I'll be glad to not look at the stupid two sisters anymore. All I could think of while watching the Tio Elf/Nabor scene was what is that giant growth on the side of her head. It's supposed to be her hair but it looks painful and I'm afraid she might just tip over. I had to fast forward again.

Before the happy ending, the things to be resolved are Crabi's demise, Feo's demise, the location of Root's body and hopefully Feo will reveal his long list of victims unless Pad Tad is allowed to reveal confessions after a person's death. Otherwise, no one, especially Muttonchops, will know the truth.

Oh,and of course, Slofie's parentage. Lol, Connie....FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TELL HER ALREADY. .

I don;t know why ,but Juan looked more handsome than usual last night.

Thanks to Cheryl and the commentators for the laughs. GinCA

And don't forget which one of the hijas is really Slofia and Juan's.

Variopinta - so what's with the change in the date of the final episode? It's weird.

Right, in EST the soccer match is on from 7-9, so there's no Tontas, Cuidado is 9-10, and FELS is 10-11.

Great recap, Cheryl. I also have no idea how Crabi was lying on that grave that she thought was Feo, and why there was no funeral or anything, but it's par for the course.

I agree with the commenter who said that the fact that Feo is alive would not seem to be covered by the sanctity of confession, but alternate universe rules may apply.

In case there's any doubt, Rosendo showed up last night, so it wasn't he in the truck.

Just finished watching my tape of this capítulo. My guess is the fresh unmarked grave Crabi was sobbing over is really Root's grave. Feo said they would never find her, and who would look in a cemetery for a murder victim?

(... and I am still impressed by that rich-looking black soil!)

Doris, I thought the same thing- that Feo had buried Root in the cemetary (gawd, I hope that my previous thought- that he'd buried her with Libia isn't the real storyline). If that's the case, at least Root had a "funeral".
Melissa- I thought that the announcement was that "Manana" was to start the 23rd. I could be wrong, I was reading during breaks...

I just figured the grave was Feo's (well technically the grave of the poor burned-beyond-recognition guy who Feo chose to be his stunt double). Surely Gabi would know where she had her own husband buried.

But boy, she sure had him buried fast. I guess that, not being allowed to go to church, she pretty much had to skip the funeral.

I enjoyed her reprise of Sofia's Llorona act. (Technically I think a Llorona is supposed to have lost and/or killed her own children, but close enough. Gabi tried to crush her daughters' spirits, anyway.) Boo hoo hoo, please help yourself to more bad heart pills, Gabi!

I think I have an explanation as to why Libia's grave always looks freshly-dug. Juan is always leaving bread there. When he comes back, the bread is gone. Obviously Libia has to dig out each night for the bread. It seems a little mean to make her work so hard for it.

"Obviously Libia has to dig out each night for the bread."
Julie - ROFLOL!!!

Julie, Doris, et al: my TV screen is very dark and last night I thought Gabi was weeping at the scene of the burnt truck, that she was sobbing over the ashes. Wasn't that supposed to be the same day as the explosion? And they already had "Feo" in the ground?
But wow, Feo must have a hovercraft that zips him around from one fresh crime scene to another...
"Creemelo"

Dorado, Yes, MEPS was originally scheduled to start on the 23rd, but I saw two commercials last night that FELS is ending on the 23rd, I thought I misheard, but when I looked up at the screen there was the picture of Juan and Sofia and it said "Lunes 23".

Go figure?

My other TV has a very dark screen no matter how I adjust it, so I sympathize about not being able to make out the dark scenes.

However, I was watching on my good TV, and I was able to see headstones and such.

I would have thought it was either the night immediately after the explosion or the next day, but time means nothing on this show. All we know is that the moon was full. ;-)

Anyway, there doesn't seem to be a lot of legal supervision in this town with respect to corpses, autopsies, and burials (remember the Comisario's guys actually left Libia in the river where they found her). I guess that as long as you've got a corpse and a shovel, you're good to go. Perhaps Gabi decided to have Feo buried immediately.

So, was the body, whoever it was, actually "buried" in the cemetery? It looked to me like the body was just placed there and dirt thrown over it, kind of like my dog "buries" his bones, just lays them in the flowerbeds and scoots dirt over them with his nose, too lazy to actually dig. I thought Gabi was gonna grab the dead person's hand when she was laying on the grave pawing around.
Oh and thanks Cheryl, welcome home.
JEN

Freshly dug graves often do look like they laid the body there and scooted some dirt over it. This confused me for many years when I was a kid... actually, they have to leave a mound on top of the burial site because the loosened dirt will settle and compact over time. If they don't leave a heaping mound of dirt now, there will be a dent in the ground there later.

But if Not-Feo's grave was in any way cheesy-looking (I couldn't see it well enough to notice), just remember what the "construction site" looked like when the brothers were building Grandpa's house... LOL... like "okay, you guys have five minutes to make this set look good - have at it!"

You're right though, for a moment I wondered if she was going to start digging with her bare hands.

Creemelo - it was definitely a mound of gorgeous black dirt. Perhaps you can adjust your TV? There is usually a contrast setting, as well as a light<--->dark setting on most TVs. I have to access mine through the SetUp function. If yours is old, there may be buttons in the back of the TV itself.

I saw ads yesterday, during Pobre Millionaria, that had the FELS 'Por Fin' as well as the Gran Estreno to MEPS both on Monday Feb 23. Could it be a double-feature? Maybe there will be no Tontas nor Cuida-Angel.

Wow Doris - That would be interesting a fin and an estreno in the same night!

I guess Uni doesn't think anybody will need the weekend to "grieve" over the ending of FELS like we do with novelas we loved! :)

Welcome back, Cheryl! So, all in all, on a scale of 1-10, how was the trip? What was your favorite part?

I was really sad when Destilando was finished. I tried to record Pasion but it would not record it for some reason. I'm excited to see this new one.

Who will be the last man/woman standing? Feo or Crabi

Hi y'all! Catching my breath & catching up on this week's murder, mayhem, & Mommy Dearest. Whew! They have certainly cranked up the absurdity level, haven't they? Time/space continuum is all out of whack as characters fly from one scene to another & bodies disappear into thin air. At least we can count on the tears.

Belated thanks to recrappers Jardinera ("beans are burning me"--too funny!) and Julie and an on-time thanks & welcome back to Cheryl. Many many comic asides & wonderful writing...I really miss my daily dose of FELS redux. As always, you guys are so much better than the televised version.

But I digress...
I guess Feo & Crabs will live to the end but egads, how high will the body count be by then? Of course, Commisario will only figure it out after he watches the reruns. I can't wait until this twisted story ends. Too much violence & death & too many bizarre/Oedipal relationships. Oh but the acting has been noteworthy. (as in note to self: never ever put this TN on my resume, says EY)

My beanie needs a tune up!

Maggarita
:-)

p.s. Hey Agnes in NJ! wish I could show up more often!

oh, and Abuelo P: awesome musical! You rock!

Maggarita

Melissa - Grieve? Ha! I think we should throw a festival/party worthy of FELS-land to celebrate the end of this.

;-)

Thanks, Melissa, for the clarification on the end of this silliness. We'll see if Univision keeps to that schedule.
Julie- thanks for reminding me about Muttonchops having left Libia's body in the river for the fish and other creatures to nibble on. That was one of the first loony occurances that tipped me off that we were going to have some fun with this everyday...

Hi Nick, The trip was definitely a 10+ and I enjoyed all the parts of it. Driving in traffic jams in Mexico,DF and in Acapulco required the most patience but over all having a car to go everywhere was great. It's hard to pick favorites but it might be Oaxaca with it's beautiful old city center, the pyramids at Monte Alban just a 15 minute drive up in the mountains then the 6 hour riding the snake drive down to the ocean where I spent a night in tiny Puerto Angel and wished I could have stayed another day to explore Puerto Escondido. I am working on several picture essays, one of which I will post here on Caray Caray soon.
