MEPS March 18, Wed. - Fr/Ed and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Wedding

Here is my version of the title suggested by Doris with a tip of the sombrero.

Sorry for the delay, I was in attendance at a reception at the Mexican Consulate in Albuquerque to honor a number of Mexican artists who live in Abq. last night. Poetry, singing, mariachi's, paintings and ceramic figures. Funny how the women always know exactly who Fernando Colunga is when he pops into all my conversations in Spanish these days. The men don't always know but who cares....

This episode can be seen on Youtube as capitulo 23.

But on to the important stuff, how about that wedding last night? We return to the scene of the crime about to occur at the altar. Franco/Eduardo appears walking down the aisle as the Bishop conducts the ceremony. Jacinto drinks and cries at home cursing the disgraceful Hiena and cursing his own cowardice, Fernanda wonders why the handsome stranger has appeared. The facial expressions on all the perps is priceless. Fr/Ed tries to send telepathic thoughts to Nanda that it is he Eduardo who has loved her since he was a boy. Why doesn't she realize it is he and only she could give the word that would save him from the hell he has fallen into. Oddly, he is sitting right up front next to La Hiena/BOW, but in the end Nanda ends the suspense ends by saying, acepto (I do) nearly drowned out by the male chorus intoning in minor key while crashing cymbals and prescient drum beats warn of dastardly days to come. BarbaraOW and Fernanda show us what Mom always said: good girls can wear incredibly goopy black eye make up if they keep it only on the top of the eye but if you draw the dark liner under the eye it is a sure sign of slatternly morals. Errika cries with dark smeared tears, a sure sign of being dumped and not able to hide it in public. I might add here that the rings on the pillow look like clunky washers they picked out of the plumbers tool kit. The photography was stupendous throughout, I particularly liked the detail of framing Barbara's head between the kissing novios. Eduardo looks devastated, the stylin' couple lead the procession out of the bower and we see another set of who's glad and who's sad. And who is that cutey with Damian's Mom. Is it possible Damian has one friend or cousin? Hope we see more of him. Our poor Eduardo stands alone near the altar, gee what I wouldn't give to wrap him in a comsoling embrace.

But, on to the gala party!! The carriage pulls away while fire crackers startle Cleopatra. CamilHo and Natasha pull aside while she opines that it may not be such a good idea for her to attend the fiesta. CamilHo assures her that he doesn't give a cacahuate (yep, peanut, oh you potty mouth!) And just then the noble Cleopatra tears off across the impeccably groomed lawn. As any hero would react, CamilHo shows his commanding horsey skill and jumps off the horse to chase this long legged yegua (mare) on foot but even this quick thinking remedy isn't enough to soften the fall from grace. She doesn't know it but she just got a lucky free pass out of the most hellish wedding bash on Univision. Lucio conveniently shows up to witness the fall, the only other person nearby.

So let's look at the lovely food displays to calm ourselves down. Yummmmy, dig in, my personal favorite, the chocolate dripping off the dipped strawberries... a real PSA promoting the happiness of choosing the right catering services. The champagne flows and Papa Gonzo offers a cheery toast to the novios, no one seems to notice that CamilHo and his new Ho are missing, even Errika is smiling for the moment. Damian's mom approaches gushing about the emotivo ceremonia (touching ceremony) and how precious the tortolitos (Tórtolo = turtle doves) Now, we can all see the lipstick stain on the collar, but Nanda only asks him where is my Nana are you sure that you have seen her? while Barbara scowls while Damian says sure I saw her, she had to be off to one side. Nanda sweeps through the crowd as though looking for her, passes the flute clinking guests smiling, greeting and finally comes upon Fr/Ed. They exchange pleasant oh it's you, yes the same, I don't think this is a coincidence, no, he agrees it is not. Now she wants to know who he is at last. [Ed. note, I'd probably forget all about my groom if this Adonis walked into my wedding reception and so would you, admit it, ladies!]

Next we see the paramedics rolling the gurney down to place the impeccably clean lookng fallen Natasha into the ambulance. Only the neck brace hits at the severity of the fall, even her boots are spotless. Lucio adds all too obvious commentary about the ambulance intruding on the party to get to the hospital, CamilHo tells him to shut up. Fernanda continues to totally flirt with the handsome stranger while Anibal approaches saying, Franco. Have you met my sister. Ah at last a name. Mucho gusto, Franco Santoro. He gallantly tells Anibal that he has not had the pleasure of meeting her before while suddenly Damian and Gonzo approach and Nanda is told this impressive specimen, I mean gentleman, is their newest business associate. Fr/Ed tells Damian that if he had arrived one week early, their would not have been a wedding but rather a duelo (duel). It's a broma (joke) he quickly adds while congratulating Damian and all of them. Nanda gets the PowerMilk information.

Errika whines at a table with Priscila, Santi and Aurora that she hates CamilHo with all her soul. She is assured that CamilHo will never change so she should just move on (he's just not that into you, girlee). Slurping more champagne, Errika is just glad her parents didn't come to witness such shame. But let's drink up and not ruin Nanda's big party, they all toast.

Damian announces that he and Nanda will dance their first dance as husband an wife. Fr/Ed ever the silent witness watches them approach the dance platform. What should be sheer joy abruptly jars Nanda when the song turns out to be Alejandro Fernandez singing the title song, "Mañana es para siempre", she pulls away from Damien, asking, who chose THIS song? Damian as usual is clueless so we are treated to flashbacks of the prepubescent love dance and enchanted flirting of Eduardo and Fernanda throughout the grounds of the hacienda All those happy memories flooding back. Back to the wedding dance floor and Nanda pulls away holding her stomach saying she feels uncomfortable like un mareo (dizzy). Damian signals the musicians to stop and this confusing break allows the maid to approach with a bouquet of flowers with a note saying the deliverer specified that she should read it en voz alta (out loud). While Nanda asks Damian if this was him, she opens the auspicious envelope. CamilHo crosses the dance floor and tells Anibal that what has happened (oblique reference to the horse accident not the flowers, I guess oddly edited) is all Jacinto's fault and he is going to pay. Back to Nanda, Papa Gonzolo sees the unbelieving look on her face and says darling, what does this note say? She is speechless so Santi takes the note and begins to read while Fr/Ed adjusts his sunglasses: From my tomb, resting in the peace of the Lord. I hope to forget about you, like you have forgotten about me. Nanda, adds while turning to look toward Barbara, "Soledad Cruz!" Barbara squirms. Where is my Nana, then back at Damian, AND mi nana?? Good time for a break...

Nana, Nana wails the panic stricken Nanda. She asks Barbara what has happened to her Nana, you must know where she is. Barbara tries to urge her with dulcet tones that everything is changing, let's be discrete. Gonzo looks totally stupified, Great wedding dance in front of all the guests, no? Nanda isn't having it and asks Damian where is Gardenia, she went this morning to busca (look for) Nana this morning, and where is Lucio, Lucio... Isnt' anybody going to say anything? Yes, Barbara has a word: Musica!! The show must go on. Even Gonzo knows only Barbara has a clue, Barbara what happened. All chaos ensues as Fernanda storms off with train following to seek Nana. Barbara gets a look at the black rimmed note printed as read with Soledad Cruz at the bottom. Gonzo, keeps asking what has happened to Soledad, Damian's mom keeps asking who died, who died. Just then CamilHo show up with the patch of leather with tacks in it accusing Jacinto of sabotoging the horse which threw Natasha. CamilHo says by a miracle she didn't die and has been taken off to the hospital in an ambulance there will be hell to pay.

Jacinto, Jacinto is tossing back tall shots of tequila while weeping in his lonely cottage.

Aurora catches up with Santiago yelling for him to let her come with him to help. She wants to know who the woman is who died. He says he hopes they will find out that no one died. Then we pick up scenes of Fernanda running ahead of Santi and Aurora as she begins to shed her train and then her veil but unlike getting to see her in her underwear like Cande on Tontas No Van, we just get to see her get into her yellow SUV. Santi arrives in time to drive with Aurora in the backseat and Nanda riding shotgun. Back to the gala event. Damian is trying to assure his Mama who doesn't like what is happening at all, that actually nothing important is happening. Mama isn't even close to stupid and wants to know who is Soledad, why isn't his bride with him, why does Barbara treat him like she owns him and she doesn't like this Barbara and her rude manners one bit, she doesn't act like a normal mother-in-law. As Damian sputters, Mama catches sight of the lipstick mancha (stain) as she says don't treat me like I am stupid. Damian dismisses the stain but Mama says this is from women with muy baja condición (very low social position). WHO was it? She says it is the place of mothers to protect their children, but I think she is way, way too late.

Let the dancing resume, and off to the side Barbara starts to beguile the witless Gonzo with, and doesn't she cry effectively. This bad joke with the flowers and note and Natasha's accident were perpetrated by someone to ruin Fernanda's perfect wedding and were an act against her, Barbara. In the background, but close enough to hear all, Fr/Ed drinks coffee and smiles.

In the SUV, Nanda is telling Santi that the last she heard about Nana was that she was sick but she didn't go see for herself now did she. She was told that Nana was recooperating. Aurora asks if this woman is a family member, no says Santi she is our Nana. Nanda adds that for her she is like a mother.

Back to BOW telling Gonzo that she is just sure that Jacinto is behind all of this. Gonzo can't believe it of Jacinto. There has to be another explanation, he has known Jacinto since he was a boy, he just isn't capable of doing something so espantoso (ghastly). Barbara notices Fr/Ed watching and makes Gonzo promises not to freak out but she believes that Jacinto and Gardenia are responsible for the death of Soledad. You mean that Soledad really is dead? says mister not-a-clue? Yes, it is the truth, Soledad is dead. Cute dancers break the flow of lies, Fr/Ed curses the assasin and her blaming others, and she moves in to vanquish Gonzo's doubt but she just wanted to keep him calm and tranquil, so she didn't want to ruin the pretty party. Fr/Ed moves in to say is something wrong, the guests are missing the bride.

Santi and Nanda bang on Soledad's closed up house. Ursula nags at Damian about this stained shirt. She adds that a woman can forgive her husbands slips but not if he lacks delicacy. The struggle continues at Soledad's until that she must be at Jacinto's house with Gardenia. So off they go agian. Jacinto tops off his buzz and lurches out of the door. Back to the dance floor and the gala event. Gonzo is explaining to Franco that he was a poor (viudo) widower with five children and Barbara has not failed him in one single day to aid him in everything. Five children, exclaims Franco. He asks innocently enough for the list, he knows two. Santi is explained as the artist. Anibal shows up to hear Gonzo repeat Santi the aritst. And the fifth would be? Oh her, the oldest girl, shrugs Gonzo, she doesn't live with us anymore [Hey Jack, she barely gets to live at all...] Then Gonzo excuses himself to go find his wife because without her he feels like a boy who lost his mother in the supermarket. Priscilla shows up to be introduced and calls Anibal her Specimen. Hohoho.

Lucio is eyeballing a girlie magazine when Barbara approaches looking for Nanda and checking on Lucio. She wants to be sure that no one saw him put the tacky patch under Natasha's saddle. No one saw him he waxes jocular. But Camilho found the patch, says Barbara, Lucio assures her that the blame will go elsewhere.

CamilHo whines in loud voice to Anibal where is my Papa. Anibal reminds him that this isn't a football game. Fr/Ed hangs in to gather information and charms CamilHo that since he is an expert horseman, when he arrived he asked around to find the most expert rider i town and was told it is CamilHo Elizardo hands down.

Lucio warms to his real subject when Barbara tells him that CamilHo blamed Jacinto for the accident already and she wants him to make sure this doesn't change. He is to take directions from no one but her before he does anything. Don't worry, I won't fail you, my lady. All your secrets are well guarded, you understand me, don't you. Well up and down, here and there, I have seen a lot of secrets. Like what have you seen. Well like you and Damian in the car the other night. We are treated to a replay of the torrid sex in a convertible just to be sure we remember too.

Back at Jacinto's Santi states the obvious, no one is here either. They hug and discuss where Jacinto, Margarita and Gardenia could have gone and if Soledad really is dead, there is only one place to verify it, the cemetary. [Note, how Santi isn't surprised that Soledad isn't in the family graveyard.]

Lucio picks up his own shovel so to speak, Don't worry my lady, I won't fail you and your secrets are safe. Especially from your husband. Barbara wonders if he is going to guard the secret, what is it that he will want. Surely it isn't going to be free. He laughs, surely you are going to continue being generous with me. I am completely sure I can count on your fidelity she says through lips of steel. He begins to describe a house on the hill with land and she adds I imagine you would also want some cattle and sufficient money to live in tranquility. [Watch out Lucio, her idea of perfect tranquility exists only six feet under that precious terrain she is going to give you.] He adds a SUV to the wish list and she tells him she hopes he is not as stupid as he makes out to be because she can be very generous to those who are completely loyal to her but she doesn't like anyone to give her conditions....

Next : Errika is drunk and spouting insults about CamilHo, Fr/Ed is smiling and enjoying all, Barbara is in full blown tears accusing Jacinto, Margarita and Garenia of knowing about the death of Soledad and perpetrating all the trouble to ruin Fernanda's happiness and poor little Nanda magically finds the simple cross of her Nana and kneels on the ground to caress cross marking her lost protector.

What could be going through Fr/Ed mind....can he not see that fern and gonzo did not truly know about
Soledads death....Fr/Ed better get on one of those horses and go help his best bud, jacinto or he will be under a pillow soon... and lucio, what a dummy.... they are going to find that guy under babs escalade soon.....should of kept his mouth shut. Pobre Fernanda and her nana...i feel so sad for her...now this novela is moving...

My comprehension is terrible, but did I understand that Barbara is going to try to blame Soledad's death on Jacinto and Margarita? That will really push poor Jacinto over the edge, unless we discover that he actually drove over the edge tonight! I hope not, because I really like his character.

Yikes...sure sounds like I missed a blockbuster. Anxiously awaiting your recap Cheryl 'cause I don't know if my tape recorded.

Dam's mama is a piece of work. And I enjoy watching Barbie turn on those crocodile tears. It looks like that smarmy chauffeur is going to have an unfortunate accident. What a dummy to try to blackmail Bad Barb. And Fr/Ed eavesdropping on the conversation between Barb and Gonzo....Barb shoud talk softer. What was the deal with Natasha being thrown from the horse? Is Cam blaming Jacinto while Barb tells Gonzo that Jacinto, Denia, and Marg caused Soledad's death ? So, Nanda is married, but now what. Will she blame Dam for lying to her about Nana being at the wedding and leave him ?

I am having withdrawal. Please post recap as soon as you can.

Thank you.

Shall we call this one "Jacinto and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"? I fear that Jacinto is not long for this world. We need him, if only to be Ed's only friend in the world.

I don't think that chofer (Lucio?) is long for this world. He will probably soon learn that you don't mess with La Hiena. I'll bet she's got a gun and a shovel and knows how to use them.

I have to admit that Ed looked so hawt at the wedding, I barely noticed his ears. ((Hooray!)) I want to believe that he is figuring out exactly who is bad vs. innocent in the Elizalde family, and will only seek vengeance on the baddies.

And Fernanda still has not noticed the lipstick?

I agree with Doris, everyone seems to notice the lipstick except the bride. So, instead of just telling Fernanda that he is Ed, he is telepathically sending her a message so she won't say I do. I don't know why they put razors or something under the saddle so the horse would throw Camilo's girlfriend, unless it was part of Evil Bab's plan to blame Jacinto for everything. Did you notice Bab's eyes when Lucio told her he would keep her secrets. Yeah, I kinda have a feeling he won't be around for long. I did feel sorry for Fer when she got the flowers and note that her nana was dead. I'm also waiting for your recap cuz I don't have captions so I don't know if I understood everything.

That was Cruel! And so is my histerical laughing.
My daughter called to say, as young people put it just so profoundly, "That was 'sowrong' ".
And Barb so undone that she reverts to the common hostess distraction during crisis:'Tell the musicians to play something! LOUD!'

chitter-chatter-chitter...and the bride had a melt-down ON the dance floor! Well I never!
Well I heard some woman fell off her horse in the wedding march! She was sent to the hospital! Well I never!
And Papa Elizande was looking like nothing happened at all. He probably is ready to go live with that other daughter don't you think? ...Well I never...

Yes, I too feel that the Lucio has managed to move himself to the top of Bab's list, and here I thought that he was an accomplished lambiscon. I doubt that he will be missed.

My favorite line of last night's show came from Damien's mom, "Damien, esto no me gusta para nada!" Well said.

My hat's off to Frankie nee Eddie for the delivery of the flowers, timed perfectly for maximum impact. Well-played Frankie.

Carlos

Wow, that wedding was a complete and utter disaster. What fun! Yep, looks like Camilo and Babs are going to blame poor, slobbering Jacinto for the horse accident. I think Babs told Gonzo that Jacinto and Gardenia blame her (Babs) for Soledad's death, so she is effectively setting Gonzo up to defend her if the pawns/peons start blustering against her. Ed is a master eavesdropper, he stands right next to the speakers and is not even noticed. I like the faces he makes when he listens to Babs babble. Aw heck, I like his face, period.

I thought Barb's fable was that Jacinto and Gabriella ran over Nana. And by the way Margarita was with them too. And that murdering Jacinto rigged the horse to hurt Erroika just to spoil the wedding! poor me look what he's done to this event!
Anyone want to lend their beanie to Gonzo?

It was good to see that Lili is still taking life skills training ;')

bonney churros - Gonzo doesn't need a beanie because there is no brain inside his head. ;-)

Bonney Churros: What a swell party it is!

Doris, is your dog a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? What a cutie!

Carlos

OMG Bonney, they supposedly ran over Soledad? Babs is heinous indeed! Bwaaahaaa haaa

(Love the doggies. Puts a smile on my face.)

well, this is different, comments before the recrap. I was having a real tough time following the conversations last night, so much hysteria, backgrond noise, etc. But the action pretty much told the story. What a perfect way to ruin a wedding- no turd or punch bowl needed, just some flowers and a note from the grave! Babs was ceratinly blindsided by that, as we all were, tho there was warning of it when he ordered the flowers...Lucio surprised me in thinking that he could turn to the dark side. Iwas thinking that he would go the other way. Won't much matter, he won't be around for long; if I were to propose blackmail against someone, I would tell them that I'd assembled all the proof, and it was in a safe place to be revealed if anything happened to me. I a TN? Nope.
Eddy had better get to Jacinto before the mob (Camilho, anyway), tho I couldn't understand what the fox hunter was shouting about most of the time. That whole scene- Natasha's fall, the obvious set-up for it, etc, doesn't make any sense at the moment. Jacinto would have no reason to hurt her, nor would he use a method that woulld point to himself. I hope that they won't write Jacinto out of the story so soon, but things will get very bad for him. Too bad, he's my favorite character, and there aren't many that I like here.
The writers aren't doing any favors to the charcter of Gonzo- he is looking worse and worse with each episode.
At least there was some good action last nite, it's getting moving now after the slow go to the wedding...

Ya gotta love the wedding guests. The bride nearly conks out, receives a bouquet from the tomb, runs off hysterically, The bride's brother's ladyfriend takes a dangerous tumble from her mount, and they, seemingly oblivious to it all, continue to party hearty. Yes, the very rich are very different from you or I. And I noticed a dress with the dairy cow print fabric as well as several other dresses with varying patterns of white with black spots.

Liberate Lil!

Carlos

What's up with Lucio thinking he can blackmail Barb? I agree that he's a soon to be goner. Looks like Jacinto is going to be our poster boy for absorbing a lot of blame & abuse. I thought that Damian looked good in the wedding scenes. Franco looked like a fish out of water. I approached this novela with my defenses up after FELS. But already it has the potential to become an addiction.

JudyB, on yesterday's recap you said, "Never realized the fans had such an impact on casting questions."

Be glad for it. Be very glad. It's how TBLMOE got his big break. From his wiki page:
"The role of Fernando in [María Mercedes] was originally made for 10 episodes, but after the huge success that his role had, the producers made 80 more episodes with Fernando Colunga."

Carlos - yes, she's a CKCS, spaniel brain and all. LOL She's really quite smart, though, and thanks you for your compliment. She likes telenovelas, too---it's the horses she watches. :-)

Okay, the way I heard it (could be wrong), is that Barbara said Jacinto, Margarita and Gardenia are guilty for keeping Soledad's death QUIET, not for actually killing her. But it would still paint the 3 in a bad light.

As for Jacinto and the horse accident, of course he had a motive. He hates Camilo. So of course Camilo assumes Jacinto sabotaged Natasha's horse (although it was probably Barbara, somehow).

I'm still hoping that Lucio will hang around. He hasn't actually spilled the beans, and Barbara does need allies (or spies).

And Ed had the band play the Manana es Para Siempre theme for the bride and groom's first dance, and that was Ed and Fernanda's song from 15 years earlier? That seemed like a stretch, too.

Can't wait for the recap to straighten me out on what I thought I heard.

Ah, here you all are! Happy almost Friday. So the flowers were in memory of Soledad! Love it. I only got to watch a little bit this morning and probably won't get caught up until the weekend. Thank God for Caray Caray!

Doris--what a little cutie you have there!

Camil-ho needs to have the snot kicked out of him. Where are the Reyes brothers when you need them!?

I can't speak for Babs. I'm not an eternally patient tool of vengeance. But I know that if I were in her shoes, I would treat Lucio to a very nice steak dinner tonight, because I feel that people should get one last good meal in before they die.

I wonder where Gardenia ran off to, and when she's coming back?

What does everyone think of Aurora? Is she not the greatest thing you could ever hope to find on the side of the road?? She's only known Santi and Nanda a few hours and she's already a full-blown team member!

I am a little confused about Barbara's desire to get Erika into the family. Are her Erika's parents milk folk also? Does Cigarman want to somehow ruin all the milk families at once, or have the milk families feast on the remains of Gonzo's empire through divorce settlements?

Julie, I'm cackling with a taste of vengance already because Barb, who has no tolerance, is watching her kingdom fall apart. The wedding is a fiasco with the bride first asking questions about her nana and then the groom; then the bride has a public melt-down accursing her of what she did; then the lowly chaufer has the temerity to think she would have sex with him. I think I understood her to be the one asking if he wouldn't like other benefits too. And he does not even melt with her most evil look?! Barb, are you slippin'?

Anonymous 8:28, trust me, the recappers ALWAYS post as soon as they can. It's just that some days that is sooner than others.

I'm pretty sure Babs has no intention of giving Lucio anything and was simply humoring him, whilst mentally reviewing the various ways she could kill him.

Again, I can't really put myself in her shoes, but my instincts say that when you're looking for accomplices for your dastardly deeds, you should cruise the prisons to find people with some experience in the crime business. More experience than just knocking over a convenience store. Lucio is clearly an amateur and he's acting like one. I'd expect her to fire him before sunrise. His "severance package" might consist of... well let's just say it could be a grisly sight.

Anybody remember... uh... I don't remember the character's name, but the actress's name was Laura Leighton - from Melrose Place? Now there was a girl who was born to blackmail. This tells me that Lucio hasn't even watched enough TV to blackmail effectively.

Um. I suppose I should put my Ginsu knife away and remind myself that Babs still has the upper hand over Lucio. He can say whatever he likes, but he has no proof over Babs, and his fingerprints are probably on that thingie that upset Natasha's horse. Babs also has the benefit of the family's trust. She could probably blackmail him.

I just can't figure out where this plot is headed. The bit about Natasha [who we've just met] is confusing to me ? Why ?

Julie~~~HA...Are you suggesting that as part of Lucio's severance package Barb might literally sever something ???? Yikes. That's harsh.

I thought that perhaps Errorika had slipped out and put the board with nails under the horse's saddle. She has the perfect motive and she was a bit tipsy.

Fr/Ed needed to have the flowers arrive just before the wedding because the way Fernanda freaked out, she probably would have delayed the wedding for awhile longer than she already had or maybe even postponed it until she found her Nana.

So many villains to snear at now: Artemio (though we don't know him), Babs,, Damian, Camilho and now the almost dearly departed, Lucio.

Maybe someone not technologically challenged, like I am, can post all the great comments on the sidebar. Thank you. GinCA

Poor Jacinto. Fr/Ed has got to stand up for him. I can't imagine he would let his friend be harmed. I think he will go work and live with Fr/Ed.

I still think Nanda is going to end up in the hay loft and find the necklace.

Doris, that is really funny! My youngest Lhasa, Picabo, loves the horses too!

Well, Natasha had been in an earlier coupling scene with Slimy Cadmillo. Maybe his point was to bring her to the wedding to torture Erroica. After all Slimy Cadmillo was the child that pushed Nana into the pool for humiliating fun and beat Jacinto just because.

Molly, you commented yesterday that your friends teased you about TNs until they saw TBLMOE. I keep his picture on my iPod, not to gawk at him (though not a bad pastime), but for situations like yours. When friends wonder the appeal of TNs, I tell them one includes TBLMOE. Of course they don't belive me until I show them the picture.

Hombre- yes, of course Jacinto despises Camil-ho, but sabotaging Natasha's horse hurts her, not Camil-ho. My take is that The now-bastard-for-sure Lucio did it at Bab's instruction, tho could be wrong there, as I had a tough time understanding them last nite.

Also, having a tough time understanding why Babs seems to do harm to Natasha, but she was sure throwing eyeball daggers last nite, before the riding "accident".

PaulaH, I had to pull him up on Blackberry last night because a girlfriend just didn't get it. I'm making my way through Alborada. Its a little confusing because the recaps don't go episode by episode, but are a summery. But I think I am following everyone pretty good. I do like TBLMOE with long hair and pirate boots!

Dorado Dave, I thought it was Luceo too. He seemed to be quite pleased with the whole thing as he was running up to help. Babs was angry. Maybe it was supposed to be Erika who got tossed and she forgot to tell dufus to scrap that part of the plan. Although I was kind of surprised that girls lips didn't break the fall. They are quite plump.

Please let's keep this blog light hearted and fun and focused on the novela. Everytime we start chastising people for their comments it gets off topic and doesn't stop until Melinama has to step in and delete the offenders. Many times I see things written here that I don't like or agree with, but I don't respond because I know that it's just going to escalate and generate a lot of negative comments and that's not what we want to spend our time reading about.

I believe Lucio told Babs he did it as she had asked. She seems to WANT Erika in the family, and NOT Natasha, which is why she was so dismissive of Nat the other night when she asked Cadmilo where his novia (Erika) was. She wants Nat out of the way!

If Babs seemed annoyed at that moment, it was probably because she was still upset about the Soledad secret being out of the bag. I don't think she was mad at Lucio yet (at least not until he tried to blackmail her).

OK, let's see a show of hands ...how many of you thought that the recappers were obligated to do this? No one hand? OK, how many thought they got paid for doing this? uhmmm again no hands. OK, one last question, how many of you think that since we already know that that we have to be reminded over and over and over? I for one don't make my comments based on whether I think a person is getting paid.

Nice weather we're having today, isn't it?

Oh yes, definitely, 60 and sunny here in Kansas/Missouri.

Usually the characters that are "extra" get whacked. So who do we have that is "extra?" (Like the guys on Star Trek. You always knew who was going to get killed because they had on a different shirt!)

Errorika (?)
Natasha
driver

Who else?

Julie, that's what I understood also. Barbara had asked Lucio to put the nail board under the saddle and he was gloating about it all working so well.

Thanks to you all who have been clarifying key points (what the note said, that Barb accused Jacinto et al of keeping Soledad's death a secret and the Lucio placed the spike on the horse).

When the wedding went off without a hitch I thought really....we waited three days for this. And then the meltdown. I have to give the writers a star for this one.

ITA with those of you who think Lucio is not for this world (idiot) and hope that Fr/Ed rescues Jacinto otherwise the latter is going to have a VERY BAD day.

thanks, Julie and JudyB, for clearing that up. Lucio now needs to either die, or squeal on Babs. Hopefully, sqealing before dying...
I must have missed something, the weather here sucks...

Anon @ 1:29 a.m., my sentiments exactly. Sheesh! He went to Hah-vahd, he ought to be smart enough to see Fernanda is a victim in this!

Susanlynn, I like how Damian's mom got his and Babs number right away, she knows they're probably doin' each other.

Two things that would bring novelas to a screeching halt: peripheral vision and frank, open discussion of problems . . . .but
this is more fun!

Thought it was a hoot how the guest kept partying, they're like "bride freaked out, oh well, I came to par-tay!" Ok, I wrote this before I saw you noted it first, Carlos, love it! This is getting long. I'm gonna read more comments.

Khalilah

Dorado Dave....what a great line..."squealing before dying". Yep, we can pretty much guarentee that he will...in some way.

By the way, we miss you on the 7 pm line, and you too Julie!

Yes - Lucio's enthusiasm is quite disturbing. Another reason Babs should probably get rid of him... and another reason I think he'll be around for a while yet. :)

She does need someone to do her dirty work for her. She does have a taste for "wet work" but if she doesn't have to do it herself why should she?!

Aw! I miss recapping, and considered volunteering to take back Monday night before Gloria beat me to it, but it's just as well I didn't - my picture went all crazy a few times last night, so I don't know how reliable my access is. I'm lucky I can watch the show at all. I'd have to stuff the recaps with made-up stories about any scenes I'd miss. :)

Connie, you inquired (yesterday?) about TNs with Sergio Sendel as the good guy. In addition to La Esposa Virgen, he was the main galan in Amarte Es Mi Pecado. He was an airline pilot (looked great in that uniform) who was separated from his true love by an evil schemer and by his stupidity in marrying the one-night stand he accidentally impregnated. His true love gained vengeance on a long string of people who done her wrong, then encountered Sergio again when her wealthy gangsta husband hired him as a pilot. More sturm und drang with high drama and then the final reunion of the two lovers (and their respective daughters.) The large guy playing the priest in MEPS who told Eduardo to avoid vengeance was Sergio's beloved grandpa in AEMP.
La Paloma

I think Barb would be the idiot to allow Lucio to live. He seems to be a braggart. Surely he will tell all about his close association with the Dona. And he doesn't seem smart enough to be afraid of her, write a letter and keep it in a safety deposit box, don't spend all his newly acquired hush money at once...etc.

Thanks La Paloma. He is one of those guys that is handsome yet he is also a weasley/ferret/sneaky kind of guy.

The story is moving now. I felt bad that Nanda's wedding was ruined. I wonder if Eddie now realizes she didn't know that Sole was gone and she was innocent in all of this. It didn't take Babs long to find someone to blame. Eddie needs to help his friend since he dragged him into the middle of his revenge scheme which cost him his marriage. So the wedding was ruined. There goes the wedding night. Damian will not be getting any from his bride for a good long time LOL. Looking forward to tonight's show and Erika putting Camilho to shame much to Eddie's delight.

Pirate Babe

Yay Cheryl! So worth waiting for. Excellent recap.

This show is moving at a great pace. I hope it stays that way and we don't end up in jungle somewhere.

Fr/Ed has got to realize Nanda knew nothing. She totally flipped out. I'm still waiting for a meet up in the hayloft.

So the wedding is finally underway. Good thing. We know that Fernanda will divorce Damian anyway so i'm not worried.

Someone should beat up Camilo. He just rants and raves all over the place. He is a loose cannon. He is just a spoiled brat. there are other villains that would go about quietly about things not going there way, but i had to hear Camilo whine like a baby....

It was good of babs to straighten him up about what he did to Erika. There is a time and a place to mess around and when to toe the line. He could have kept his fling with Natasha secret. But no he does not care despite the scandal he could cause.

Too bad Natasha had to suffer from the fall. It was really meant for Erika though.(not that she also should suffer)It is only logical for Camilo to blame Jacinto. we know he did nothing but from his perspective, who else could have done it? A set up.

A few days ago many were wondering what was up with Fernanda running away and the veil falling down. Well that was it. After finding out that her nana was dead, she freaked out, had a meltdown and ran off to search for her. At least Eduardo/Franco thought that she still loved his mother. If I were him, I would have kept quiet and just kept on listening instead of interjecting. Got to get more intel.

Lusio is a dumbass. He need to be shot for what he was saying to babs... I doubt she will let him get away.

As for the deal between Babs and Damian. NOT A SPOILER: I saw Damian manhandle Babs and make her cry. I did not know what was going on till I realized that I looked so far ahead in the wrong episode. So i backed out. That's all. Point being is that if you are in control, you don't let a subordinate treat you that way. He must rank higher or equal to her....

So tonight, Fernanda will come to grips with the death of her nana. I know a lot of you are saying it's about time. RIP Soledad.

I feel it is almost time for Franco Santoro to inject himslef into the life of the lovely Fernanda.

Ibarramedia

Thank you so much CherylNewmex! I have a question for you or anyone and a comment: It seemed like Barbara told Gonzo "Jacinto y Gardenia me culpan (or culpen) para la muerte de Soledad." That's what I thought I heard last night and I keep hearing that when I replay it. So I thought she said they were going to blame her for the death of Soledad? Comment. I don't think that was Alejandro Fernandez singing that. It was a duet and the man seemed off key: as if, well, these are the real lovers getting married, so we'll play you this slightly off, cranky version of the theme song. Just a thought. Thanks again, Cheryl taking the time out to get us this 'cap!

Khalilah

Cheryl, thanks for a super recap. There were little things here and there I missed, what with the captions being so messed up.
Loved the eyeliner comment about good girls keeping it to the top lid and slatterns adding it to the lower lid.
Lucio trying to blackmail Barb is obviously a fatal error. Interesting to see how long he lasts.
La Paloma

I meant to say "these are not the real lovers. . ." in my comment above.

Khalilah

Thank you Cheryl. Very witty! I feel like I didn't miss much this morning. I just realized what Camil-Ho reminds me of....He's the color of an oompa lumpa

Ibarramedia, yes, lets have some consoling of the very sad new bride. I'm ready to see those two interract and not just stare at each other across a room.

Cheryl...so impressed that you were at the Mexican Consulate dishing with the guests en español no less. Way to go. And then to write your usual fine recap on top of that. Much appreciated.

Now question...are all the newscasters bad girls? I've noticed eyeliner top to bottom on Noticiero Univision. Not quite the heavy diabolical line that our Barbara draws...but gettin' there!

I too was surprised by the rings. My husband and I, as poor graduate students, had our rings made by an equally poor graduate student in Fine Arts. At first they looked just like washers also. So we had him draw lines around them and the effect was much better. Also, the ring looked silver, but Fernanda's engagement diamond was set in gold. Bizarro.

Yes, I thought it was "me culpan" too, in fact I think it was "they blame me and they're right, boo hoo hoo!" so that Gonzo will automatically be ready to defend her.

D'oh! Cheryl mentioned the reception at the Consulate the other day - I forgot all about it.

Hee hee, the thing about the eyeliner under the eye. Lucero is very pretty, but if she wears that stuff any thicker she'll look like a football player! Whatever she's using, it's amazing... doesn't smudge at all!

Stupid question...Is Fer/Ed really short? He doesn't seem very tall but maybe I'm comparing him to Juan.

Connie, he does look like an angry Oompa Loompa! LOL!

Maybe the rings are white gold or platinum?

I haven't been watching this novela, but last night at a restaurant they had it on TV and Colungo looked so fine, and I zoned out on whatever my boyfriend was saying and he got soooo mad, so I thought I'd see what you great recappers have to say. Funny, as always. May I just add though, Who on earth is that guy with the horrible hair!!! Dios mio, se parece como se vomito una escoba encima!!!! (he looks like a broom barfed on his head) lololol!

Thanks, Cheryl, at great recap, I just now read it, don't know when you posted it.
Just a couple of things to comment on that you reminded me of- those rings_ what kind of bushing were they, or just a short piece of pipe?!?!
and Nanda's school bus SUV with suicide doors! What make/model is that thing? Anyone know?

Thanks for the recap Cheryl. I enjoyed your comment about how the women at the consulate know about Colunga but not the men. Oh well.

Those rings were washers but now oddly appropriate since their marriage is now DOOMED.

Connie - that Oompa Lumpa comment was great and is spot on regarding Camil-HO.

Karen, he is just so darn nasty! I'm expecitng him to stomp his little foot and use his big-boy voice when he chastises Jacinto. Then I'm hoping Jacinto punches him in his little nasty oompa lumpa face!

I think Nanda's vehicle is a Mini Clubman. Very cute.

It seems like the female viewrs don't like seeing Fernando all giddy and perky. Now that she knows her NaNa is dead maybe we will see a darker side to Fernanda. Interesting that Ed/Frank was inquiring about how many kids Gonzo had.....

You can't help but feel sorry for Jacinto. The man is really in a terrible position because of his situation. Between, Eduardo,Margarita,Camilo and Babs... What's he going to do. At least he is more useful than Padre Tadeo from Fuego. They both are the keepers of secrets at the moment.

Someof you commented on some of the stars doing commercials too. I never get to see it. The local affiliate of univision just shows cheap local commercials like some dude's camioneta for sale or panam supermarket or calling cards to central America. I never even got to see the Verizon Llorona commercial, but they show some regular verizon commercials here.

Ibarramedia

I was thinking Nandas ride was an FJ.

Connie, according to IMDB, EY is 6'3" and FC is 6'1"

Dios mio, se parece como se vomito una escoba encima!!!! (he looks like a broom barfed on his head) This made me laugh out loud at my desk!

Thanks Molly. Maybe it is just the camera angle. Need more bathing scenes. I think I spelled oompa lumpa wrong I think it is oompa loompa.

It is a Toyota FJ cruiser. Used it on the outerbanks.

If Franco Santoro is 6'1" then how tall is Babs? That is what I want to know. I'm a curious cat.

Ibarramedia

Interestingly enough, IMDB doesn't often list women's height. I've been watching Alborada on youtube and she seems much smaller then him. Of course she might be wearing CFM heels on this show.

Yes, Connie, I am sure we could judge better if we were to have another show scene!

She does seem pretty tall.

Oooooh, it is an FJ Cruiser. (The Clubman did look a little small, but the color scheme was so Mini-ish!) The color is called Sun Fusion. Thanks Ibarramedia! http://www.toyota.com/fjcruiser/photo-gallery.html

I loved that evil smile Fr/Ed gave when listening in on Babs & Gonzo's conversation. He would probably play a bad guy very well.

Julie, I don't think we do fingerprints on TN's or DNA.

I was wondering about Babs concern for Erika, so unlike her. But Erika's parents are wealthy, in the horse business, probably racing.

Thanks, Cheryl , for that excellent [as always] recap. Ha...Dam's mama saying that Baba acts like she owns him...Weeeellll, Mama, she does. She owns him lock, stock, and barrel and has all but branded him [that might happen in one of next week's episodes]. Also, I must comment on Aurora inquiring ''Who died ?'' Did she not hear Nanda bellowing ''MI NANA'' at the top of her little lungs about 50 times ???? Aurora, I think it was Nanda's NANA . As for Lucio planting that nasty prickly thing under the horse's saddle ...hat explains the weird smile I thought I saw on his face after Natasha hi the ground not running. He is a nasty piece of work...plus stupid...never a good combination. And finally, Fr/Ed behind those FosterGrants in that great suit ...have mercy.

Hope this doesn't show up twice!
Re the question I raised as to whether Babs told Gonzo "Jacinto y Gardenia me culpan para la muerte de Soledad." Julie, you heard it too? Yeah, I think it was part of Babs trying to pull a poor me, casting herself as the victim instead of the perpetrator. I didn't think she was saying they killed her. Won't harp on it anymore. Just seems kinda important.

Also love the broom barf!

Khalilah

La Paloma,

I recall Sergio Sendel in Amarte es mi Pecado...and the actor who plays Jacinto in MEPS was his friend and co-worker, Diego, who became blind.

Gonzo looked exasperated and demanded an explanation from Babs about what was going on regarding Soledad's death. My thinkg is, If he had been checking up on her like he should then no one would be clueless.

Babs is going about this tactically to make herself look sympathetic.... I thought it was fitting they used the theme song as part of the wedding dance. I'm cheesy that way. BTW, this is a longshot but I think Franco Reyes from Fuego sang the song. Sounds like him..... And they could not have him actually there on a cameo so they had to use the off key guy to sing. Just really wild guess.

Ibarramedia

Variopinta, I thought FC could play a bad guy well also. But probably to good looking to get cast that way. Which is to bad, he might enjoy the change as an actor.

He could be really slimy evil with all that hotness!

Maybe Babs was being worried about Erika to not blow her cover.

Cheryl: an AbFab recap! Got some good chuckles about the eyeliner on Babs and then the Mama Ursula scenes.

I had to just laugh at that family blow up. I'm with Carlos, the first thing that hit me was how the guests stuck around, cuz Hells-bells, why let all those expensive eats and booze go to waste --not to mention one helluva classy orchestra --PAR.TY.ON-N-N!
AND
Way to go Fr/Ed! Timing that note and bouquet to arrive and the fact it even got there at all is a miracle. Whooeey, though! He did make Sole sound mean and spiteful, didn't he? Kudo's to the writers. It is nice to have a conflict resolution at the START of a novela once in a while.

Not sure. Maybe we'll see it in tonight's episode, but they sure could have thought bubbled Eduardo realizing that Fernanda did not know her nana was dead and her distress clearly showed she, at least, had not neglected her that badly in the last 15 years.

I'm sure when Fernanda realizes who Franco is, she is going to be very angry!

And some day those letters have to turn up.

Fr/Ed's gonna have lots a 'splainin' to do about that note wreckin' her wedding one of these days --and I would hope Nanda doesn't push him away for the rest of the novela like FELS. On the other hand, if she's finds out about Damian's knockin' knees with Babs beforehand she probably wouldn't give a hoot. Chances are that she won't, though. : > [

"They exchange pleasant oh it's you, yes the same, I don't think this is a coincidence, no, he agrees it is not. Now she wants to know who he is at last."

Cheryl I have to add to your excellent re-cap: here Nanda said "are you Eduardo? Since you showed up 'de repente'(so suddenly)?", Then a meaningful look from him for a moment....looks like he could almost admit the truth, but then introduces himself as Franco Santoro.

At least that's how I heard it. Anyone else?

Yeah, Fernanda has seen and attended to his mom more than he has in the past 15 years, he oughta thank her for crying out loud. What bride would totally wreck her own wedding fleeing with veil flying behind her if she had not truly loved Sole?

Khalilah

Khalilah, I think you are right about M and G blaming BOW, if you heard it that way, that is what me culpan means. Corrections and clarifications are all welcome here. I for sure both miss things completely and don't always type well.

Sorry I am late again today with commenting on all the fine blogging going on here and thanks for the thanks, that means everything to us recappers. My excuse this time is that after spending too much time tired and then writing this recap today instead of last night, I had to rush off to my Siglo Xviii y XIX Literatura de España class at Instituto Cervantes. We are discussing neoclassicism and romanticism. I hope I can do all my tarea this weekend... thanks gang, you are wonderful.

Randy Sea: Wow, it's hard to understand, She says"ud. es", he says, "el mismo", Fernanda says "pero creo que esta vez ya no es coincidencia", he says "creo que no" she then asks, "can I now know who you are?" Then after commecial she says, "Ah, ya se, ud. es ________ porque desaparece de golpe (??) verdad? [ -- Makes no sense.] Then she asks, "No, quien es ud. de verdad?" He says "De verdad?" and gets this hungry, almost licking his lips look in is face and is about to tell her when Anyballs walks up and calls to him "Franco!"

Really, all you FC fanatics, go back and look at his eyes and mouth as he says "de verdad?" and leans in toward Fernanda. Seriously intense.

Khalilah

Ibarramedia, I think Gonzo is as negilgent as can be too. I was really glad that the note with the flowers was general in implying that all of you forgot about me not just one person. And wasn't Barbara's face priceless that she had neither orchestrated nor blocked this defining moment in the day with so many bombs that she had planted.

Khalilah, I watched on regular tv last night but wrote the recap while watching the youtube segments so my nose was about three inches away. Yes it was deliciously intense.

Hombre de Misterio, I did not hear him say I'm Eduardo but it is tantalizing to think that he might have.

Overall, I think this episode was both great drama and great melodrama.

Khalila, could it have been: "es Ud. Eduardo? porque aparecio de golpe, verdad?"

She had some clues that it could be him because she knew he was supposed to be showing up from EEUU any day, and Lili told her in the manicomio that he had been there, and she seemed to beleieve until Lili went completely loca.

Loved that moment when he almost told her....but no!Guess we have to drag this out or there would be no story!

Ibarramedia- that FJ- the suicide doors really intrigue me. How did you like it?
Kahlila and Julie- I, too thought that that was what Babs said. (Again, I haven't taken time to utube it). She of course was just planting the seed between his two synapses that she is not culpable for Soledad's death, but that they will be pointing the finger at him. She is an absolute master at manipulation.

Yeah, Randy, could be, I need to get an idiom or slang dictionary, I'm sure those must be online, a lot of stuff would make more sense! Thanks!

Khalilah

Randy, So sorry, I attributed that correction about to Hombre and not to you. Is he perhaps thinking I'm Eduardo again like he was while she was saying her vows and it did not get said outloud?? I'm going back to youtube too.

Cheryl: you caught some of the stuff I couldn't begin to make out, so thanks.

Sorry, Randy: I was thinking I heard what Khalilah heard. I didn't hear Eduardo mentioned. It's so muffled, though, it's a wonder any of us understood any of it!! Very frustrating!! 10 sentences behind and half of those go missing anyway, and then crummy acoustics and all. Tonight was even worse! I have to go back two or three times over a scene when normally I never have to anymore. GRRR!

Cheryl, Thanks for the recap -just wanted to comment on the beautiful horse picture - but he looks like he has a wound on his neck - I hope I'm seeing wrong.

I was under the impression that all you recappers recapped while watching. Or at least took notes.
I assumed you were the most fluent among us here. I did not realize that it involved multiple rewinding of the vcr/dvd recorder/tivo and the dictionary.

Of course, it is logical to assume that since you have to translate the program into English. That said, I salute you all even more. Much respect to you guys. Much harder and time consuming than I thought it was. it is almost similar to reviwing football game film, game planning and grading the players. It could be an all nighter. Too much work for me.

Everyone should be grateful as you all have stated since you are doing this for free and do this voluntary. Again many thanks. In an attempt to get into the minds of ingrates who demand a timely recap, I must say(Please don't flame me, just trying to play devil's advocate)they probably think that there is a timely obligation to do so since they volunteered. ie, I am supposed to do fridays but I am always late and most of the time never follow through, then i hold up the group and could make a lot of people unhappy.

Again, i'm just attempting to see their side and I know they are wrong....

When I emergency recapped part 1 of the Fuego final, I had the advantage of knowing the entire storyline, reading their body language, understanding what they were saying and being so focused on it. I had become addicted to the series and was looking forward for the final 2 weeks that I actually looked forward to it early in the day. I know sad... ;) Plus the fact that it was so fresh in my head that I remembered stuff.

The departed nickster was a fast recapper.

Dorado Dave: I'm fine with the doors since I'm either always driving or riding shotgun. I prefer driving cars to suvs or camionettas. :) so it has little use. We had to bring it to the outerbansk though, since you need a 4x4 to drive over sand dunes.

I jsut realized despite the heartaches in MEPS, it is a much calmer show than Fuego. Fuego was a really violent show among other things. A lot more abuse and hitting, not to mention murder attempts and murders.

Ibarramedia

Thanks Anon at 11:32 for mentioning the horse picture. It is my current favorite. The wound is a scar, this is a wild horse, caballo salvaje that lives free here in New Mexico. They bite each other a lot and since he is a stallion, he has hassles other stallions. Oddly enough this particular big boy bites his own mares so much and is mean to them so that several of them have abandoned him for other mates.

Thanks for the understanding about the complication of recapping Ibarra. It is harder than it looks sometimes. If I am not too tired I can write a fairly complete recap while watching but if I am tired or the dialog is really rapid and complex, I need to go back. When I started it took me many hours. I am glad you had the experience of really doing it yourself. Isn't it amazing how grateful it makes you for the work of others....teehee

So I opened my Washington Post Weekend section this morning to find that Placido Domingo will be singing in concert at Constitution Hall on May 1st. The name of the show is De Mi Alma Latina (from my latin soul). Just below his picture is a picture of the special guest he will be joined by...none other than our Lucero, aka Barbara (looking mighty fine in her picture)! I laughed out loud on the Metro train and got some funny looks. I didn't know Lucero was so multi-talented! Placido better watch out though...
-Vivi in DC

Another fellow beltway user with good intel. I'll have to see if I can work that in my schedule because on May 2, I may go to las vegas to watch a fight for the day then head back... Soooo tempting. Must see Babs. Ok I got that out off my system.

Cheryl, When I did that recap, I did it from memory plus all the other factors I stated above. More of a fluke since I was so in tuned than normal. I was watching as if my life depended on it. A blessing in disguise for all of us. ;) It only took me 2 plus hours to type since i'm a slow finger typer. Otherwise, it might have been finished in 5 minutes like Nickster does.....

Ibarramedia

"Oddly enough this particular big boy bites his own mares so much and is mean to them so that several of them have abandoned him for other mates." Good for those girls, leaving their abuser!

I think that scene between Fr/Ed & Fernanda, when it looks like he is going to tell her who it is, it's really referring to the time that she splashed him or saw him in the mall. They are just teasing us.

Now I'm thinking it's the time they met in the mall, remember he still had the longer hair & not spiffed up in a suit.
She is saying you disappeared because you didn't want to (golpe) punch or something similar, because Damian was there.

Variopinta, you are of course exactly right although for a split second it looked like Franco was tempted to reveal his true identity.

Cheryl, your recap is a masterpiece. I got to read it last night on my cell phone and just now have the opportunity to respond to it. It looks like the conversation here continued well into the evening.

Carlos

The suggestion is that Fra/Ed is being unfair to Fernanda because she did not know. But that too is an inditement of her. He probably feels she should have actively protected Nana.

Cheryl - I just now had time to read your excellent recap. Thank you! It was really a fun read and you filled in some holes for me. I've given up on the CCs for now. Thanks Looney-vision.... (NOT!)

Vivi~~Lucero is an accomplished singer. As for the scene between Fr/Ed and Nanda , even though I wasn't sure about the words, Fr/Ed and Nanda did seem drawn to each other, and Fr/Ed's expression was so full of longing/hope. I wonder if , at that moment, he regetted sending that harsh note to Nanda. If you really love someone, you wouldn't want to see him/her so upset and distressed, but I guess he truly thought that Nanda had changed and was as bad as the rest of the family [except Lil]. Fernando's face is very expressive. He can communicate so many feelings with those eyes and that mouth.....Where was I?

Okay, I got it definitivamente:(I know I'm geeking out on this but I can't help it)

When Ed and Nanda meet after the ceremony Nanada says:"Ay ya se, Ud. es un mago (a magician) porque desaparece de golpe verdad? No, de verdad quien es Ud?..."

Well, "un mago" sounded like "Eduardo" to me because that's what I wanted to hear!! See how that works?

Oh, and btw, that clip on youtube has had almost 100K views...wow!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYeGF3owWVo

Yep, Randy, I heard the "un mago ..." too so with bad sound I can see how you might think she said Eduardo. The tension between them was palpable though, no? What a wonderful life following these telenovelas.

I just know that if Fernando Colunga
doesn't with the Latin awards for TN's, there will probably be an uprising. I was so upset when Yáñez won for Destilando instead of Colunga for Pasion, he was so much better.Yáñez main attribute is yelling.
