Cuidado: Friday 5/8/09- "Fill-in The Blanks"

I apologize, but with Mother's Day, I just finally got around to watching Friday's show.....which for some unknown reason did not record. Therefore, I'm translating from the Esmas.com and youtube websites for this capitulo. I'm sure there is a lot left out, so please feel free to fill in the blanks and correct any error. Thanks. Marichuy falls down the stairs. Ana Julia is standing at the top, holding the baby, and cries out MC's name and "what happened!". Pat and Cece rush to find MC laying at a landing half-way down the stairs. Neither slips on the butter as they rush down the stairs to their daughter. MC is passed out, and Pat asks AJ for details on what happened. She's not sure she says, but MC was trying to go down the stairs like she's shown her. Rocío returns home in high heels and a head band. Balbina is happy to see her. Balbina tells her that Juan Miguel is out of town. Balbina asks for Vicente, but before Ro can answer, Onelia shows up. Ro tells Onelia that she's left Vicente, that she thought she was marrying the perfect man, but she was mistaken. Onelia offers her some comfort. Onelia fills Ro in on her own transformation. They get MC into a bed. AJ says they need to do something for her. Ana Julia recalls the spill on the steps, from before. MC awakens, to Pat, Cece, and AJ hovering around her. Cece's happy she's awaken and OK. MC says she's not OK, she's blind. Methinks MC is having a pity party for herself. JM work on his laptop in EEUU. He has flashbacks to times with MC and AJ's confession of her feelings for him. He thinks MC's in good hands. AJ and Cande exchange words. She tells Cande that is was her fault that Marichuy fell down the stairs. Cande, sobbing, can't believe it was her fault, she'd never hurt MC. She remembers the spill from earlier and does feel she's to blame because she dropped the baby's food. AJ lets Pat and Cece know of Cande being to "blame". Cande begs for forgiveness, she'd never hurt MC. Cece thinks it was an accident, but Pat is angry. Pat decides this will be the first and last time that Cande puts MC in danger, so they'll forgive her this time.....but this time only. Fo has flashbacks to her wedding day. Mayita is happy that Ro is back home. She takes her upstairs and they talk to JM online. JM's surprised to see Ro back home. She tells him she needs him and misses him terribly. She tells him her marriage is over. MC dreams of Juan Miguel. Cande sobs to Dori. She remembers that Dori cleaned the stairs and figures that AJ must have done something. She goes to find AJ in the dinning room with Pat and Cece. She blames AJ for what happened to MC. AJ is shocked, and Ana Julia lays it on thick ---offended from Cande's accusations---and says that she'll go. Pat and Cece don't know what to do. Cece worries what would MC do without a friend like AJ. AJ tells her to chose between her or Cande. Only one of them can stay there. Cece is fit to be tied. Pat can't handle it and collapses into the chair with chest pains.

i'm sorry but lol about marichuy having yet another accident. i mean when will cece and pat realize they need proper, professional care for Marichuy?

that sucks about ro and vic, why did they have to mess up that fairytale? i agree with a comment i remember from before about the writers butchering his good character.

Folks, our beanies are on too tight! JM sent orchids to Mari for their TWO year anniversary. Let's recall; they got married in about three weeks after the proposal, nine months later Mari popped out JM jr. and it has now been two years!!!???
Why is JM jr. still SIX MONTHS old??? Why is he not walking and talking like any normal 15 month old kid?
We knew this tele was a stretch of credibility, but come on!

AAAAAND, six months later when JM returns from Boston, JM jr. is STILL six months old and wearing the same yellow hat! (I looked ahead and checked.)

Cathy: Thanks so much for doing the recap over such a busy weekend.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Did Pat and Cece learn nothing from Steffi? How magnanimous of Pat to decide: "this will be the first and last time that Cande puts MC in danger, so they'll forgive her this time.....but this time only." Grrrr...

Of course, it makes perfect sense to believe someone who has been acquainted with Mari a few short months, AJ, over Cande, the mother who raised Mari with care, love and affection all of her life.

Cande's crying was heartbreaking. Thought it was some of the saddest scenes so far and there have been many.

And, Vincente Cheating on Ro??? Absolutely ridiculous. As you said JM Lover, why on earth would they ruin the fairytale, the one happy couple in this entire mess???

If anyone can come up with anything positive about the episode (aside from adorable JM Jr.), please let me know.

Waterloolu, our comments crossed. Good point. JM Jr. must be Peter Pan 'cause he's never growing up! :)

ahhh .. beanie .... too .... tight.
My brain hurts.
(tee hee; Peter Pan)

I did not watch the beginning of this episode because I just could NOT TAKE another fall by MC, striking her head, blah, blah, blah. These writers stink! I saw Cande crying and was so livid. This woman would never hurt HER DAUGHTER. Yes, Patricio, MC is Cande's daughter in every way. You jerk. Rocio and Vicente split up? WHAT THE HECK? They just got married! This show is really getting ridiculous. JM is studying in Boston, yet the class was in Spanish, uh? I refuse to jump ship though. I'll stay until the bitter end.

On the side, Diana, yeah for the Celts and Sox and the Bruins, game was fantastic. Still can't hear from the noise and can't talk from the screaming! Spent Mother's Day with my daughter before the game in the North End, saw Paul Revere's House, Old North Church, what a day, 60's, sunshine, and windy. Beautiful. Hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day, Cande!!

Violet, it's a great time to be a sports fan here in Boston. What a Celts game last night! It made being bleery eyed and exhaustion today well worth it! What a win... Happy to hear you had a wonderful mother's day. Time spent with family is the best time of all.

I'm not quitting Cuidado either. I'm in it for the duration although still puzzled why they've dropped every interesting storyline to keep with this gut wrenching one and have split up our favorite couple, Ro and Vincente. The writers better hurry up and redeem themselves.

Hey violet 608. Nevert though I would see a mention of the North End of Boston here!!! that is my birthplace. GO SOX!
As for the show...it is way too funny to be a drama. As silly as it is getting, I will hang in there till the end.

I have nothing new to add, I just agree with everyone's comments.

I know they wouldn't want to get rid of that adorable baby and switch to an older "actor" but then why not write the story so his age makes sense? It's not like it needed to be the 2-year anniversary, or JM couldn't have found a way to help Marichuy that didn't involve six months away. Okay, whatever, letting it go...

The Vicente thing is just beyond, though. I mean, he learned to walk again just because he wanted to be with her and didn't want her to have the inconvenience of being with a guy in a wheelchair! Now he's cheating on her? As if!

Also: Gloria, if you're here...am I recapping tonight or are you? If you don't respond I'll assume I'm doing it.

I am totally shocked by the splitting up of Rocio and Vicente. He went through so much to be with her and now this? Another wasted storyline.

Ella, you know they say you take for granted what is in your own backyard, well this was my first time in the North End and seeing the history (I was a history major too way, way back when) of our country with the Old North Church, etc. It was a beautiful day in the North End. What a lovely place. Thumbs will be sore from using the remote tomorrow between Sox, Celts, Bruins, and Cuidado!

Cathy – You did great! One piece I would add is that during the dinner-table fight between Cande and AJ, Juanito was crying loudly, so Mari couldn’t hear the fight. Just at the end he quieted down and she heard the last part of it.

I agree, Diana, that Cande’s sobbing was heart-wrenching. Ceci and Pat sure have taken over what is really by rights Cande’s daughter. And the sad part was that Cande looked like she was blathering, whereas AJ looked more composed and credible. Arggghh!

I agree – the Vicente storyline sucks big time.

Another heart attack! At least that gave me some comic relief. The writers are just too much.

Say, TV y Novelas doesn’t have anything on Cuidado for the second issue in a row. What’s up with that?

Even TV & Novelas is fed up with Cuidado? Egads.

Thanks for the recap Cathy.

I agree with the comments: saddened by the Ro/Vic debacle; heart broken over Cande crying and AJ gloating; and disgusted with Pat being a jerk AGAIN. You would think the writers would try to do something NEW.
