Mañana es Para Siempre, Tuesday, August 25--Ep #130: Finally, the script has gotten some fiber and things are moving again.

Happy Uruguayan Independence Day!

Barbie tells Damian that his mission is to infiltrate the convent and spring Aurora.

Lovely comes to visit Esteve and asks for a favor. She needs him to "encarrilar a" Camilo for her (get him back on the rails). She wants Esteve to pressure him to make their engagement formal.

Franco has his own parking spot in the GL garage, interestingly. Once he parks the car, Flor tells him not to worry, that she'll keep quiet. He asks if she'll also help him, but she thinks it's risky. He wants her to tell him if there's anything going on that could hurt him or Fer. But, duh, she was going to do that anyway. He opens the door for her. She comments that she's so amazed that the little "chamaco" (kid) she used to hang with is now this total babe. She tells him that he really does need to watch it with Gardenia because she could blow the whole plan out of "despecho" (spite). But, duh, he already knew that.

Gardenia seems to be having problems with the phone systems. She giddily transfers someone and says that she's not "mensa" (a dummy…gives a whole new meaning to the name of the club for people with a high IQ). Fer and Erika walk in. Gardenia's a little cold to them. She complains about Flor not being there and having to take messages. Fer mentions that Franco is driving her over in his car and she'll be there shortly. Gardenia prays to Chuchito that that "chismosa" (gossip) Flor doesn't tell Eddie about the "mentirota" (big fat lie) she told about him. Well, isn't that a little like the chismosa calling the other chismosa a chismosa? She worries Eddie will be mad at her.

Damian wants an explanation of his mission, but Barbie tells him that information is on a need to know basis. What he needs to know for now is that Aurora will have to be taken out because she won't leave on her own and the nuns are like "perros guardianes" (guard dogs). She tells him not to worry about Santi anymore, but Santi is the carrot that will get Aurora to leave with Damian--he's to tell her that he will take her to Santi, but will really bring her to Evil Barbie instead. He's to tell her that Santi knows about the baby and wants to marry her.

Flor and Franco walk into the GL Presidencia lobby. Gardenia tells them Fer is already there and in her office. She lets Fer know that Franco is there, but Flor has to dial for her. Franco looks really, really angry.

Damian complains that only Santi would be able to get her out of there. He wonders why she wants Aurora. They're just going round and round about the same issue.

Franco walks in on Fer and Erika and says he had an "atoron" (a jam; i.e., he hit traffic) which is why it took so long to get there. Erika tells him the "bad" news that Fer separated from Damian, and it's for good. Then she asks if Franco has any eligible friends, but Fer objects. Franco says he's sorry to hear the news, which is to say, he's sorry to hear the news now that he's not in a position to back out of his impending marriage to Erika. Erika, that kiss ass, worries out loud that the same thing may happen to her and her beloved Franco. He says they'll just have to work hard at their marriage and Erika beams. Franco asks about the fake plans, which she has, and Erika, being allergic to any kind of work that doesn't involve shopping, makes her excuses to leave. She magnanimously tells Fer that Fer don't need no stinkin' man and gives her a hug goodbye. Then she tells Franco "The closer we get to our wedding, the handsomer you get. Call me!" And finally she's out the door. Good. Now they can get busy on the desk. Franco repeats that he's sorry because it means a failure for her. She wants them to get down to the real business. He says, "Vi a Liliana" (I saw Lili). Fer is appropriately impactada as we go to commercials.

At Evil HQ v 2.0, Ciro continues to read from the diary. Ana Gregoria is afraid of what might happen to her and her child. And those are the last words she wrote. Lili is moved by the sad ending. "Pobrecita!" (Poor woman!) Ciro says now they understand Artemio's hate.

Franco has to shut Fernanda up before he can explain about Lili. Franco says her freedom depends on what they do. He says she is safe, but that can change. If the person who has her gets the wrong idea, everything could tank. Fer still thinks it was Obregon, but Franco says Obregon really didn't have anything to do with it, it was Evil Barbie. Now he tells her he made a "pacto" (agreement, pact, deal) with EB to gain her confidence and that's why he lied before. Fer wonders why he didn't tell her before--oh, to protect her and keep her from worrying. He swears to her that he's on her side and he's only screwing with EB to get to the truth.

Gardenia gripes at Flor for being in Franco's car. She accuses Flor of spilling the beans to Franco and to Fer. She's surprised that Flor didn't do it, but Flor says that unlike Gardenia she listened long enough to realize that Lili's life was at stake and she believes it's their duty not only to keep his secret, but to help him. "And that includes not jumping Franco Santoro OR Eduardo Juarez' bones!" Gardenia looks pissy.

Fer wants to know where Lili is. Franco says she's in "un lugar inacessible" (an place that's inacessible)but she's safe and surrounded by "comodidad" (comfort), treated with a lot of "consideración" (consideration) and is free to move around. Fer now understands about the recorded message. Franco now brings the name Artemio Bravo into play, and lets her know that he hates the family and will kill to get his revenge.

Camilo goes over to Las Animas.

Fer wonders how Lili got into Artemio's hands, but Franco doesn't know all the details yet. He does know that Artemio knows "milimetricamente" (to the milimeter) everything about the Elizalde clan. Fer wants to know why he hates them, but all Franco knows for sure is that Ana Gregoria Bravo has something to do with their family. Fer remembers the birth certificate. Franco asks her what she knows about her grandparents, but she didn't know them, only what her father told her: that they were a very united couple, generous to people in the region, her grandmother was "a saint". Franco says she's not going to like what he has to say, but according to Ana Gregoria's diary, she had a fling with Jeronimo and had his baby. Fer puts two and two together and comes up with Artemio. She is impactadissima!

Damian drinks and asks more pointless questions about Aurora. EB keeps telling him not to ask questions and get to work. Barbie gives him some cash and says she'll call him. She tells him this isn't a game. She asks why he called Prissy this morning.

The lady in question is sitting on a bench outside what I imagine to be a yoga studio crying as she remembers Anibal announcing that the baby's name will be Vladimir Elizalde. This poor woman. I mean, I know it's not the nicest thing in the world to pass another man's child off as your husband's but out of all these people, she seems so alone. The closest thing she has to a friend is her brother, who she can't tell what's really going on. Basically, she can't tell anyone what she's going through except for Vlad the Obsessed Impaler and Anibal, who inherited grandma Altagracia's mean gene.

Barbie and Damian talk and talk and say nothing.

Franco says he's allowed to visit Lili whenever he wants to, but he has to keep Barbie thinking he's on her side. He doesn't know what the relationship is between them, but he thinks Artemio is the only person Barbie really fears. He says to keep Barbie on his side, he at least has to make it look like he's helping her achieve her biggest goal yet--"acabar con los Elizalde!" (finish off the Elizaldes) More impactada-ness from Fer as we go to commercials again.

Lovely serves Esteve and Camilo coffee. Esteve asks her to leave them alone as she makes frustrated faces behind Camilo's back. Once she leaves, Esteve starts off by asking Camilo whether he (Esteve) speaks good Spanish. You know, whether it's understandable, like, Every. Single. Word. Of course, Camilo says yes, and Esteve accuses Camilo of thinking the Nortons are stupid.

Fer is still processing that Artemio and Evil Barbie want the family finished off. She says it's getting hard to pretend she doesn't know what's going on. He dangles the usual threat to Lili's life over her head. Fer wants him to call the cops, but Franco claims that Artemio will just kill Lili off. Franco tells her that it was Artemio who ordered Evil Barbie to kill off Fer's Mommy. Wow, we're just going to lay it all out now, is that it? Fer is impactada for the, uh, fourth time tonight. Fortunately, she's young and in good health, so she's not going to faint or die or anything. I don't think.

Esteve pulls out the big guns and informs Camilo that when someone "se atreve" (dares) to insult the Nortons, they pay…with their lives! That is so freakin' ridiculous coming from him. Maybe if he had literally pulled out a big gun I could take him a little more seriously. He wants to know if Camilo is screwing with them. If Camilo treats Lovely like he treats other women, that ain't good. Camilo tries to explain or ask questions, but Esteve screams at him to "wait here" and then leaves the room.

In the gals' room, Venus is folding laundry and pouting, yes, pouting because Esteve didn't let her stay and hear the gossip. "No exageres" (quit exaggerating) replies Martina, who thinks she's got Esteve so wrapped around her little finger that he'll do anything for her. Esteve comes into the room. Venus wants to know why he threw her out. Esteve gets all grumpy and says he's doing what she asked him to. But Venus doesn't think it's right for him to just tell her to get out like that "a golpe" (all of a sudden; literally, "with a hit"). Esteve takes issue with her description (thinking probably of the literal) and Martina has to step in and referee. "Ya bajale, Venus," (come down already, come off it) she says, adding that Esteve "te está cumpliendo todos tus caprichos" (is giving in to all your caprices). Venus, chastised, asks what happened. Esteve says Camilo wants to know what to do, but Esteve hasn't told him yet, so he can come in here and "la princessa" can tell him what to tell Camilo to do. Oh, hell, chuck Camilo out the house and get to work on international relations already.

Fer tells Franco she trusts him, but it's hard for her to be around this guy who's going to marry her best friend, but is trying to seduce her and "acoso a" (sexually harassed) Gardenia. Franco tries to say it's not what it looks like, but that never works. Fer wants a real explanation. Franco tries to remind her that what happens at the country house…. That doesn't work either. He says he doesn't have a way to explain what she saw at the house, but he's sorry for it. Fer cries and whines that she has to support him whether she likes it or not. Franco says he knows it's a lot to ask for her to trust him "ciegamente" (blindly). Oh, no, I think we've broken Fer. She's all upset that her whole life, basically, has been based on lies. Yeesh. There's really no way to deny that, is there? Even her spotless image of her grandparents is gone now. She's worried about how many more lies there are to discover and who else is going to "despojarse de su careta ante mi" (divest themselves of their masks before her) Franco says he understands. Fer says that trusting him blindly, she has a request. If he also has a mask to remove, she wants it off now! But will he take the bait? We go to commercials before we can find out.

Venus demands a big party, but she won't say why--she just wants him to take care of it. She wants everybody who's everybody to be there and for Camilo to announce their engagement. Esteve says that sounds fine, but why not get a wedding date out of him while they're at it. Venus says that will be dealt with later, just get him to throw the party. Their eyes, however, are reading from a whole different script that says something more like "Don't you like me? Haven't you had enough yet? No way, I can't make the first move--you might reject me! But I've got such a crush on you! Don't you want me?"

Fer asks if Franco is really what he looks like. "Te lo ruego" (I beg you) she says, "please tell me." And what does her respond? "Yo solo soy lo que parezco" (I'm only what I appear to be). Dude, I better not hear any whining about this later when she finds out the truth. You had your chance and you blew it. Fer asks him to get her sister back as soon as he can and to keep her informed, even if it's bad news. He promises. Fer says she hopes he gets to read the whole diary because she really needs to know how it ends. Franco picks up his visitor badge and leaves because if he doesn't he won't be able to resist kissing her. Only he says it with more words. After breathing into each other's faces for a minute, he leaves.

Fer explains the phones to Gardenia. "Cuando sea una conferencia tripartita…" (When it's a 3-way call)But Gardenia is already lost--she asks what you eat that with (wah wah wah wah). Flor, almost sexily, wishes the departing Mr. Santoro a very good day. Franco gives her a big smile and says he'll see her later. Fer, over the intercom, asks Flor to come to her office. Flor leaves and Franco and Gardenia give each other dirty looks. Franco gets into an Evil-Barbie-infested elevator.

Now Fer wants to know what Flor wanted to tell her before.

Camilo whines that the situation is absurd, waiting around for a verdict and sentencing as if he'd commited some horrible crime. Blah, blah, blah. Camilo says "virgin" isn't even a word in the dictionary anymore and he thinks the whole story about Abdul Hassan was a load of crap. Esteve says he'll take this out of the 1001 Nights context and put it in modern terms. Camilo is confused. Esteve promises an explanation.

Flor tells Fer about how she, Gardenia, and Margie (I think) are all on her side. Which is nice, but doesn't answer Fernanda's question. Flor apologizes for just showing up like that, which still doesn't answer the question. So now, Flor tells her that it was something Gardenia said about Fer's wedding and she just felt so horrible about it, etc. etc. She finally says that Gardenia saw Damian and Barbie doing, uh, things, in the car. Fer is impactada for the fifth time tonight. But really, but this point, can she summon up any more surprise about anything Dam or Barbie have done? I completely thought that Flor was going to rat out Gardenia for lying about that kiss. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Down in the garage, Barbie tells Franco to "neutralizar" (neutralize) Fernanda. She wants Fer's nose out of a certain business. Franco denies knowing what she's talking about, even though Barbie claims that only he and Flor knew about Villasana showing up that day. Franco laughingly asks if she wants him to ask Fernanda how she got the information. Barbie says, more than that, she wants to know what Fer is "tramando" (plotting). Franco says he doesn't think he can get the info, but Barbie says his path is "despejado" (clear) and he can freely seduce Fer. Franco says no way because he's marrying Erika. Barbie says if he wants to keep Lili alive, he needs to find out what Fer is doing and keep her from doing anything against Barbie. Franco glares.

Fer wonders why Gardenia never said anything. Flor makes excuses. Flor says Gardenia may be gossipy, and nosy, but she wouldn't make something up just to hurt someone else (ha!) so that's how Flor knows it's true. Flor laments this is quite a blow for Fer, but Fer says it's just one more added to all the other interesting news she's gotten today. Flor says she doesn't know how to help Fer, but she does want to give her some advice: "Have faith and trust in Franco Santoro."

Esteve reveals Gonzalo's car to Camilo. He says Camilo used it to get into Las Animas. Camilo wants to know what Esteve's getting at. Esteve says they need to get down to business, but Camilo thinks it's odd to arrange a marriage like a business deal. Esteve laughs and says he has "ternura" (tenderness) for Camilo. "Where I'm from, my people understand a marriage as uniting forces for a practical objective." He mentions marriages to consolidate royal families, end wars. Camilo says no one does that anymore, but Esteve corrects him--no one says it. Esteve says it's crap that people like Camilo marry for love. Esteve says Camilo needs to set a date to introduce Lovely to society as his fiancee and he's got one month to do it in. He holds out the keys to Gonzo's car. It's Camilo's choice--either he sets a date and takes the car now, or Esteve returns the car to Gonzo and explains what Camilo was doing with it. And we end on that note.

Tomorrow: Franco reads more of the diary; Barbie confides her suspicion of Franco to Artemio; and possibly Fer busts Barbie being mean to Flor.

I think I'm going to need someone to post this to the sidebar. I thought I'd done it right last week, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I should be able to do it next week when I've got my laptop back from the shop.

Kat, thanks for another marvellous recap. There was so much I missed, and your witty recap really helps. As always, I'm also grateful for the vocabulary.

Well, it looks as if we may be in for lots more snivelling from A-wah-wah. I'd like to think that she'll be smart enough not to buy Damian's story, since she saw him doing the nasty with Barbie on his wedding night, but odds are she'll continue to make the wrong decision.

Yikes, it's 1:30 a.m. Time to close down mi computadora, get ready for bed, and dream of Fr/Ed.

Thanks, 5ft, for the recap. I appreciated the vocabulary and the wit. Gee, I checked my Random House ,and the Tangerine One was wrong...the word ''virgin'' is still there. I don't think he's been using the dictionary much lately. Esteve is pretty in pale pink, si y no ? I think a bigger guy could pull that shade off better. Flor is my new heroine. I liked the way she told Fer not to lose faith in Franco. Fr'ed , on the other hand, had the perfect opportunity to finally put all his cards on the table and chickened out. That will come back to bite him. Soooo...when, where, and how is Fer goin to finally discover that Franco is really her Eduardo all growed up so they can sit on those rocks at the beach ? [I saw that scene last night, and she does look twisted into an uncomfy position. ] My very favorite part of last night's episode was Damed smacking the stack of bills Brabie handed to him...it's his thing...smacking and throwing stuff. He is a piece of work, no ?

You wicked lady....good Lord what a title! Prunes to you, girl...if it's not tagged, I'll try and do it...then look at the recap.

This title should go on the comment sidebar though! So funny.

Oh Kat, you are a wit! Starting with your title, Erika's allergy to work, Evil HQ 2.0 & Fer's youth & health saving her from 5 impactadas...too funny! Plus, I love the vocab you throw in there. Muchisimas gracias!

Dam can't get anything right so I'm wondering why Babs thinks he can pull the Abora caper off. Didn't someone once compare him to Wiley E. Coyote?

Sparks a-flying with Nanda & Fr/Ed last night. Oh just get it on, you two! But the BIG LIE will surely wreak havoc & we'll have to settle for the teasers they squeeze in between ads. A new beach scene last night...does this mean we can look forward to Fr/Ed in a Speedo? (he can pull it off...old hairy men in Italy, not so much)

The Lovely/Esteve/NaranHo triangle is heading for some kind of crescendo. Yawn.

Thanks for the great recap Kat. Did you see that look Fr/Ed gave Gardenia?! I sure wouldn't want to be in her shoes. Good save on Flor's part. I'd forgotten about the car incident.

I'm still having a hard time following the "Gonzo's car--Loafly/cammiiii wedding" thing. I don't see what the two have to do with each other. So he gives Camiii back the car. Big deal. I guess it would be hard explaining how he got it back but still. I think we touched on it the other day but I'm just not getting it. Maybe it is just too early and I'm only on cup #2 of coffee.

Great recap as always Kat. And I loved your take on Esteve and Venus "their eyes are reading from a whole different script". Well put.

I was recapping myself last night but did happen to wander by the tv just when Franco and Fer were steaming up the screen. He's throatily saying he can't stay because if he did he would take her in his arms and wipe away each one of her tears...(with his kisses?) and she moves in for him to do just that and DANG! he heads out the door. What a tease. Wanna line up the writers and shoot 'em all.

I agree Judy B. I thought for sure we would have THE KISS...but no.

Hah...glad someone else was mightily disappointed Connie. But sometimes, those almost-kisses are even sexier than the real thing.

Odd that in the white silken bedsheets shot of Fer and Eduardo, they look uncomfortable and posed... and now in this new beach scene they look equally uncomfortable. Especially our poor little Fernanda twisted like a pretzel. Tantric yoga on the beach.

Must have some prissy art director who doesn't know beans about really hot coupling but just wants a pretty picture.

I say let 'em go and just do what comes naturally. LIKE ANY TIME NOW.

If I have to see Gonzo and Bitch Barbie kissing one more time....GAG! The same for Camiii.

I'm not looking forward to the scenes with Abora and Dam. You can only watch someone being stupid so many times. I think Abora has reached her limit...(or maybe I have!) :)

I was watching the episode with Estif and Camiii on you tube and they have different advances. I know we've talked about it before but I don't remember why that is.

Judy B & Connie: amen, sisters! Nanda & Fr/Ed will surely melt the screen, unlike the icky NaranHo & anyone, Dam & Babs, or Sniffles & Curls. Babs & Gonzo is just plain nauseating. Pris & AnyBalls...ice cubes generate more warmth than that pair.

argh.

5ft- I really enjoy your recaps, keep them coming!

So glad they have picked up the pace. Plot thickening while stirred, new ingredients thrown in, too. Flor is becoming more important, and Babs is gonna be pissed at her. (Are they going to find a man for her, or for the gorgeous if inept Gardenia?) I see a showdown between Babs and Fer real soon. Pobrecita Pris, she is so alone, will she confide in Fer? She looks so despondent, suicidal- I hope that doesn't happen.

The Venus/Loafly/Caaami farce is just getting more convoluted. At least Gonzo gets his wheels back. Estif is pushing wacko Cad into too tight a corner, and that can't be good.

Eddy has just made his future secret identity revelation even more difficult. During that scene, while i knew that he wouldn't come clean, what the downside would be to tell her the truth. I couldn't come up with any. except for the plot device, he should have done it. Maybe we could see some teaser scenes w/o Silvia having to contort like a pretzel.

Make that "I wondered what the downside would be" I need to proofread, sorry...

Kat, thanks for your great recap and the vocabulary too...I'm learning a lot.

What's with Estev in the pink sweater??? For a wealthy exec they sure dress him like dog
s--t!!!

But Fer's wardrobe is getting better. She's been looking so good. Do you think any of the writers or others in the dept. read these comments???

Once again, Kat, love your recap.

Ann-NYC

Kat:  This is a great recap and title. When Steve revealed the car to Camilo, it looked like his red wig was on a little crooked.  Did anybody else notice that? The shots of Fernanda and Franco at the beach are a big tease.  I wonder when we get to see them for real.Too bad he didn't wipe away her tears with kisses.  He might have told the truth, too.

Not to whinge - but, I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble posting to the sidebar. What instructions do you follow?

Probably the avances are different on You-tube because they are from the Mexican presentation. The commercials are also aimed at the Mex audience.

Great recap 5 ft, as always very funny & appreciate the vocab.

How are you guys arriving at the capitulo numero? I think we are on capitulo 135. I knew for sure when televisa gave a synopsis of each episode, but unfortunately the stopped at 123.

Kat, another Superkat recap.I'm learning by studying the great work that you guys do. There is such a nice flow to your style not to mention the often biting, always funny, humor.

I joined team-Flor when she announced that she cannot put up with lies and deception. I wonder how much longer Eddie will be able to keep that cat in the increasingly flimsy bag. If he wants Nanda to learn the truth from his own lips, he'd better act soon.

Carlos

Hey, Everyone, since Fr/Ed left everyone dangling without drying Fer's tears with his kisses and I know you are all so disappointed, I am volunteering, at great personal sacrifice, to let him practice on me so that when their time finally arrives he will be in tip-top shape!

MEPS in AZ

Sorry, forgot to thank 5ft for the super recap!

MEPS in AZ

Kat you rock! I love your style.

Connie, I was really hoping Flor was going to rat Denia out about the kiss. But I loved that Fr/Ed isn't letter Denia off the hook this time. She knows he is pissed and he has every right to be. With friends like Denia....

Poor Fer, lots of shocking surprises in one episode for her.

Okay, Erika's bra straps in that dress really bother me! What the heck? And I love all of the strategically placed vases.

I noticed that too Molly. It was cracking me up. A vase here, a plant there! What is up with the bra strap anyway? MEPS in AZ I just want you to know that I appreciate the sacrifice you would be making for us. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. :P

Not only were there strategically placed vases and plants, I think the whole thing with her carrying around that damn folder with the mock-ups of the wedding inivitations was just a pregnancy cover-up too. Did you notice it was strategically placed on car dash when she was driving with Fer? :)

When Phylicia Rashad got pregnant while she was on the Cosby show (a show I loved as a kid) they raised the countertops of the kitchen and cut a hole in the famous bed the Cosby's spent so much time in together so that her pregnant belly fell at the same level as Cosby in the bed.

-Vivi in DC

Kat, thanks for the witty recap.

Gosh, I sure hope we never have to see Erika in bed with Ed/Fr, it would be a total waste of perfectly good mattress.

rsk

Variopinta, yes this is really Episode #135. The discrepancy is that some of the first episiodes were aired in Mexico as 30 min and were combined and shown in the US as l hour. It looks as if the same may happen at the end, there were some 30 min episodes i Mexico, who knows how Univision will decide to air them in the US!

rsk

Thanks for the great recap, Kat. I'm so impressed with you recappers who are not only bilingual, but write like professionals, with clever insights and humor. And Carlos, you are not exactly chopped liver in that department! My enjoyment of my telenovelas is greatly enhanced through your talent and dedication, and I appreciate you all.

Jane

Fabulous recap and title, Kat. You are an excellent writer.

Grrrr! I can't stand it! Two opportunities: Fr/Ed and then Flor NOT telling Fernanda that it was Gardenia who kissed him and that he's not a sexual harasser.

Totally tired of the Venus/Steve/Camilo arc. I suppose we'll have to endure another big party, like the one with the Fr/Ed and Erika engagement announcement where no one eats and Las Animas mysteriously sprouts a ballrooom.

I've got a real problem with La Hiena's clever plan to whisk Abora away. Damn is supposed to tell her he's taking her to Santi, who now knows about the Sniffles and Curls spawn and is ready for matrimony? And, when this turns out to be a big fat whopper, she's going to fall into her loving mommy's arms? And where is she going to stash her? Doesn't she need some time to get the will finalized and bump off Gonzo? Ah, of course, how could I have missed it? My beanie's in the shop.

Somehow Artemio is going to get his hands on Aurora. Babs wouldn't take her there, she hasn't even told Artemio she's alive. Then again Artemio told Babs her hijo died at birth. Wow, when these two discover each others lies, LOOK OUT!

Kat: One (if not the) best titles ever. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was yours. As interesting and secret revealing as this episode was, your recap surpassed it.

Fr/Ed and Fer do have chemistry and it's a shame that we haven't really been able to see any of it. A few smoldering looks just don't do it for me.

Poor Pris. What will happen to her?

Dam breaking Aurora out of the convent is too ludicrous for words. I can't blame him for wondering why Barbie wants him to do it. The thought she may be a motber probably never occurred to him (and why would it?. Can only imagine what further damage that news will do to Aurora once she finds out.

Diana in MA

A wonderful recap Kat! Thanks so much!!

If we think we've seen sobbing now, just wait until Awah-Wah finds out Evil Barbie is her madre. Not only will she be crying over missing Santi, losing the safety of the convent, and who her mother is, there's sure to be sobbing over the fact that she might be carrying "Demon Spawn II". Dios Mio! Maybe that's how Damian will die. Drown in the flood of Awah-Wah's sobs.

Pris is really breaking my heart with no one to turn to. Anyballs really inherited his grandma's compassion, eh?

This can't be the end of the Ana Gregoria story? There must be more, like why the diary is all AB has left.

Ah poor Pris. I really do feel for her. She made a dumb choice, but she's a good hearted person. And doesn't look like Vlad is going to get what he wanted! Ha!

I keep hoping the baby is born with some birthmark that is only Elzalde and the docs were wrong and then she kicks AB to the curb where he belongs, with Vlad!

Molly,

I'd like Pris's baby to be an Elizade, but they keep using the word sterile, not infertile. There is just no telling where this story line is going!

Thanks, Kat for the recap. One of the best lines ever: Finally, the script has gotten some fiber and things are moving again....really
good.

Fer is such a good friend and NONE of her close friends are helping her at all. It is ok for Jacinto, Margarita, Gardenia, Lili, Steve and Flor to know the big secret, but not Fernanda. Honestly, that deception would really make me mad. She is the most stable of all of them and she is operating in darkness.

Sandy in TN

Great title for a super recap. Gracias, Kat.
Oh, the longing, the wishing, the wanting in those “almost” scenes with Esteve and Venus, Fr/Ed and Fer. Maybe if we gave the script just a little more fiber, things would move along.
Pobrecita Priscila.
I’m hoping the Madre Superior will smell a rat when Damian appears.
La Paloma

Good point, La Paloma. That Madre Superiora is pretty smart, about 100 IQ points up on Abora. Maybe she'll smell Damn for what he is.

I still don't understand why Barbwire has to get her out of the convent in such a flaming hurry. Santi presumably went to Florence, so he's not going to upset any of her apple carts. She's perfectly safe and cared for in the convent, not going anywhere.

And she told Damn she was worried about Fernanda because, just now, she didn't need any trouble from her. By this she meant getting 100% of the bienes, except for the hacienda, in Gonzo's will. Or was it the will? At one point he was going to turn things over to her in life. Anybody know if he has to die for Barb to get her hands on the dinero?

The only thing I can think if is that she wants to snatch Abora because she's going to split as soon as Gonzo signs the papers. But I don't know if this is true or not.

Novelera, that puzzles me too. There really is no reason for Evil Barbie to want Awah-Wah out of the convent right now. I mean, where will she live? Even Awah-wah can't be stupid enough to go back to the hacienda. Maybe Barbie's hoping Dam will get busted in a "kidnapping" attempt and that will put him out of the picture.

At some time Aurora has to confirm that she saw Babs & Damian congressing. The writers put that in for that reason, I think.
Babs wants her hija y nieta all to herself.
Mother Superior suspected Babs right off & I'm sure she will suspect Damian's motives.
I don't remember if Fr/Ed knows Aurora, but I think he knows of her & maybe will pass that info on to Artemio. He would have no idea that Babs is hiding the fact that she is alive.

Kat, you are a perfect combination of what I like about all the recappers different styles. What an enjoyable episode overall even if I could have easily done without the Steve, Cami, Lovely drama. I agree that detective Franco missed 2 important clues ie: a chance to come clean with his identity as well as a chance for a kiss from Fer. It always humorous to me when someone makes a comment about something being changed to our liking and wonder if the writers read this blog (implying that they took our comments seriously). Anon 10:20 I hate to disillusion you but we are viewing episodes that are already signed, sealed and delivered in Mexico months ago. I also noticed a few comments about Gardenia's faults without prefacing them with reference to her breast size, how lovely, sexy, or beautiful she is.
My heart goes out to Pris. Her misery isn't over since her family doesn't know the latest revelations. Oh no! there more Aurora comming up soon.

¡Gracias, Kat! You’re a wonder, a scholar, and a hoot all rolled into one. Loved this fast- moving episodio and you recapped it beautifully. Poor Fer; this was quite the revelation night for her (no doubt one of several to come). Even the commercial break lead-ins of Fernanda’s face showing her impactada golpes were well placed and appropriate.
Was a little disappointed that we weren’t privy to all the diary details before Ciro finished reading it. Maybe when Fr/Ed reads it, we’ll get more specifics about the creation of this murderous, life-long rage of Artemio’s.
Flor came through like a trooper and can now be holier-than-thou with DDenia in the chismosas department. Sure hope Fer can run interference for her when Babs comes calling.

I wish I could be Priscila's friend. She needs to unburden herself with someone who won't judge her. Until I read today's comments, I never thought of her as being so alone, but that's it. She's trapped between her icy husband her own male relatives who seems to see her as a business tool. Does she have a mother or sisters? To me, she and Fernanda are the only women on the show with any brains or personality. I know i risk the wrath of many, but I cannot tolerate Gardenia. She's cute at best, but is a dimwit, I trait I just cannot abide. Gorgeous? I don't see it at all.

Sandy, I keep hoping the writers ignore what makes sense and give Pris a miracle.

She and Fer seemed to be friends in the beginning and she gave Fer that pyramid crystal on her wedding day. Its seems we might get back to that. Pris isn't bad and Fer should take the time to talk to her.

Sandy, I think very much as you do about Nanda being kept in the dark about Frankie's true identity. As things are going, the little girl with the sheep is going to know before the one person for whom it is most significant. I've got a lot of hope for Miss No Nonsense Flor, however. She seems pretty uncompromising with her principles. He was given the perfect opening and opportunity and wimped out. Sometime ago someone suggested counseling for Eddie and I pooh poohed the idea. I must have been influenced by his previous incarnations because this guy and his carrot-topped companion both could use some guidance.

Yes Carlos, this isn't about a white lie like "that dress does't make you look fat", this is about Ed/Fr not trusting Fer enough to have a truthful partnership with her when she has been nothing but a faithful friend to his mother and to BOTH Edwardo and to Franco Santoro.

This is a topsy turvy novels.

That was an awesome recap! I love the line about Erika being allergic to any activity other than shopping! The one exception would be gushing over her teen-style crushes to other people who are trying to be productive. Although she's not bad, I'm getting tired of her showing up out of the blue and expecting everyone to join in her impromptu squealy-chats.

I agree with all who feel sorry for Priscilla. She doesn't deserve the humiliation Anibal is heaping on her, after all the indifference he's shown her all these years.

And I'd have to say I was surprised when Flor brought out the Damian-Barbara tryst to Fernanda last night. I thought once Fr/Ed shut down her identity revelation, she was going to be hemming and hawing about her talk with Fernanda. It was great that that bit of info finally came out.

5ft, terrific recap--many thanks. Sylvia is such a good actress--I was almost crying when she was (no revelation, no kiss from Fr/Ed). I agree with Carlos that Flor is one to watch...she will turn out to be the most loyal person.
