MEPS - Wednesday, Aug. 12 - Franco makes a deal with the devil's associate; more from Ana Gregoria's diary; Aurora stuns Santi

EPISODE #126:
* Damian wakes up and sits on the side of the bed. Fey enters with a breakfast tray for him. He questions why she didn't sleep with him at all last night. She lies and explains that she stayed up working all night in the office - she didn't want to disturb him. She sits on the bed and tells him that she wants to try to work on their marriage. He's content. He then asks her if they can really live as husband and wife now?

* Franco and Barbie have a harsh discussion about their private arrangement - she asks him to agree to her conditions in exchange for Lily. He's not sold on the idea - she wants his word that he'll listen to her conditions and agree to them. He scoffs that this deal is one with the devil. She says the man who has Lily is the devil himself. He's intrigued. She continues to explain that this man, the devil, is the evil shadow that has cursed her and the Elizalde family for years.

* Tomasa informs Gonzo that Barbie left the house really early this morning.

* Santi arrives at Colegio Buena Esperanza. He tells the nun that he is there to see Aurora.

* Franco and Barbie continue their negotiations. She's desperate for an agreement. He demands she tell him the devil's name.

* Mother Superior meets with Santi in her office. She tells him that Aurora is sick and hasn't been eating well. He wants to see her. Mother Superior says Aurora won't see any visitors. He begs. She repeats Aurora's wish. Santi writes a note for Mother S. to give to Aurora. She promises to give it to her. As Santi opens the door to leave, a smiling Aurora appears in the doorway. Santi's in shock.

* Franco wants the name. Barbie explains how her life's been a complete hell, taking orders from the man, she then repeats the danger that she and the family have had to endure. Franco again demands the man's name. She finally spouts, "Don Artemio Bravo!" Franco and Barbie have a staredown.

* Don Artemio looks at the diary page where Lily (and Ciro) stopped reading. Lily wakes up. She stares across the room (at Ciro). AB suspects that Lily has an invisible friend in the room - possibly a product of her years at the sanitarium. He starts to read from his mother's diary. Now Dona Altamira has changed Ana Gregoria's(AG's) position from kitchen staff to laundry - she stays in the back laundry room, ironing Don Geromino's shirts all day long. On her breaks, she sneaks her diary out and starts to write in it. As she starts to write about Don Geronimo's latest visit to her, Cristeta storms in and catches her. Cristeta is mean and has an extreme ego problem. She yells at AG for becoming Don Geronimo's pregnant lover and threatens to tell Altagracia. She fights with AG over the diary, and then starts to celebrate swiping the diary away from AG when Dona Altagracia enters and asks what's going on in here?

* AB is now sitting in a chair in the room as he continues to read that Dona Altagracia took the diary and pen away from AG - and read the diary. She applauds AG for writing such as wonderful love story, then demands to know who gave the diary and pen to her. Don Geronimo confesses that he gave AG the gifts. Dona Altagracia accepts the answer, then hands the diary and pen back to AG. Altagracia orders her to continue writing, all the truth and nothing but the truth, in her diary. She threatens AG that if she writes one single lie in her diary, she will have her thrown off the hacienda quickly and permanently.

* Alone in the convent office, Santi and Aurora kiss. Santi asks Aurora what happened? why'd she disappear like that? Aurora explains that when she tells him, he won't want to see her again.

* Franco and Barbie discuss her relationship with AB and why she stays there? She mentions that right now what's important is rescuing Lily. He wants to know why she's turning against AB. She reveals that AB wants to take Gonzo's entire estate and ruin the family at the same time.

* Santi asks Aurora again, what happened to make her leave like she did. Aurora has a flashback to Barbie finding Camilo and her in bed together. Santi asks again. She panics and asks Santi to tell Barbie she needs to talk with her. She promises Santi that she will run away with him, far away, but first she needs to talk with Barbie. Santi is dumb-founded and impactado.

* Fey tells Priscilla how excited she is about the preparations for the upcoming cheese fair (feria de queso). Priscilla is happy for her, and leaves for her exercise class. Tomasa finds Fey and tells her that daddy Gonzo is in the study alone - apparently Barbie is being rude and obnoxious towards him.

* Damian is shaving and calls Vladimir. Vladimir isn't happy with the message and hangs up. Vladimir turns around and calls Priscilla. Priscilla, driving her car, notes the call from Vladimir and refuses to answer, which really frustrates Vladimir.

* Barbie gets to her office and sends Flor away. She then calls Santi on her cell phone for an update on Aurora. Santi tells her that Aurora wants to see her. Barbie acts surprised and intrigued. Santi is curious. Barbie agrees to go right away. She tells Santi not to wait for her and not to tell his dad anything about this yet.

* Fey and Gonzo are talking in the home office how distant he feels from his wife Barbie. Fey wonders what Gonzo plans to do. He asks Fey to take the tape to Franco for analysis. Fey agrees. Gonzo gives her the tape in an envelope and leaves.

* Fey walks into her bedroom and puts the envelope in her purse. She is pleasantly surprised to see Damian walk from the bathroom, fully dressed in a suit and tie and ready to go to work. He plans to go to the plant, and wants Fey to go with him. Fey says she can't, she has to run an errand for her dad - to take the tape to Franco. Damian is upset by this continuing show of loyalty by her and her family towards Franco Santoro. Fey has to assure him she's committed to working on their marriage.

* Santi drives around town, pondering why Aurora insisted on talking to Barbie? What's up with that? Why Barbie? They are in love and should share all their secrets, so what secrets does she have with Barbie?

* Mother S. and Aurora discuss Aurora's problems dealing with Santi, Barbie and telling the truth. Mother S. suggests that Aurora speak with their Father to find some peace, confidence and direction.

* In the office at Las Animas, Franco meets with Gardenia. Gardenia is crying and frustrated. She is determined to resign from her position with him and move out. Franco tries to convince not to go - she's upset and he tries to console her and convince her not to do it. Steve knocks and interrupts. Fey enters. Franco smiles and welcomes her in. Fey is cold and professional when she sees Franco and Gardenia together. Steve and Gardenia leave. Fey skips the small talk and hands the envelope to Franco to have the tape analyzed, per her dad's request.

* Vladimir stops Anibal in the Grupo Lactos lobby. Anibal asks Flor twice to call security. Vladimir begs him for 5 minutes in his office.

* Fey turns to leave. Franco tries to talk with her, and steps forward. Fey steps backward away from Franco. Franco backs off, suspects something happened to make Fey turn cold towards him. He then mentions the young man and his message for Fey. Fey demands to know the message. Franco blasts, "That your husband is a thief!" Fey storms out.

* In the office, Vladimir runs down the situation around his being hired and fired from the company. Anibal says they have very valid, solid reasons in firing him. Vladimir then stuns Anibal by asking him if he is truly certain that he is the father of Priscilla's baby?

* Outside in the driveway, Gardenia stops Fey. She asks Fey if there are any jobs available with the family business.

* Anibal has had enough of Vladimir's insinuations and tries to throw him out of the company offices. Vladimir tells Anibal to go check his fertility test again, if he has doubts.

* Fey wonders why Gardenia wants to leave her job with Franco Santoro? Gardenia tells her she's not happy, that she really wants to go to school and needs to find a new, decent paying job to do so. Fey is surprised by Gardenia's interest in going to school and wonders what job Gardenia is thinking about doing? Gardenia says anything at the office or plant. Fey says that first they need to talk with Franco.

* Barbie meets with Mother S in the convent school office. Mother S tells her the ground rules for the meeting. Barbie understands and agrees. Aurora enters. Mother S leaves. Barbie starts to cry.

* Fey and Gardenia are back in the office. Fey blasts away at Franco about professional courtesy in this meeting; Franco accepts the courtesy and is professional and calm. She then grumbles her questions about Gardenia's position as his assistant at the ranch. Franco smiles and nods his head as Gardenia responds to the question. Fey blasts if he has a problem with Gardenia leaving. Franco says, No, none. Fey is stunned.

* Barbie and Aurora sit down and talk. Aurora wants to know what Barbie wants from her? Barbie stands up and responds to Franco's text message about receiving the tape from Gonzo for analysis. Then Barbie sits back down and explains to Aurora how guilty she feels about how she ran Aurora off the hacienda. Aurora wonders about her sincerity. Barbie asks for forgiveness.

ADVANCE: Barbie and Aurora continue their heart-to-heart conversation; AB tells Lily, I am your uncle; Gardenia starts work as the office barista (coffee girl).

Thanks for the great recap, Jody.

The frustration!! So many things seem close to truth time, but never quite make it.

I SO hope that the teaser they showed in the avances clarifies that Fr/Ed hasn't been sexually harassing Gardenia. That latest roadblock between the protagonists is driving me nuts. Blast Gardenia anyway! We got a teensy passionate moment between Fr/Ed and Fer, but now Fer is cozying back up to the loathsome Damnian after seeing that kiss. And biting Fr/Ed's head off. And refusing to pay any attention to the valuable message from Rubiel Villasana about Damn being an estafador.

Boy that Cristeta is one mean maid; sorta reminded me of a rabid dog! It's fairly ridiculous that Altagracia has her stay around to write in the diary. Maybe it's because she REALLY likes the way Ana Gregoria irons shirts.

I can't begin to guess how Babs is going to resolve things with Aurora. If Santi really finds out what happened, he'll go after Camilo, who won't hesitate to out Babs' role in that sordid little plot.

Thanks for the recap Jody. Haven't seen this yet, but like Novelera I'm soooo frustrated that the brief moment of passion has now turned into suspicion, distance and rapprochement with the loathsome Damian.

One thing that struck me this time...how wonderful that Ana Gregoria is literate. Many servants at that time did not have the benefit of learning to read and write. There are still many people world-wide who can't. But alas, it's that skill which is going to do her in (that and the nasty tattle-tale maid). Oh well, let's blame the real culprit, that scuzzball Don Jeronimo.

Thanks for the recap, jody. Another episode I missed and you have helped me stay current. Sounds like I missed a good episode. We've only got two months left on this 'novela.

Cristeta definitely has to be one of Gardenia's ancestors.

Thanks for the recap Jody. I missed a lot last night. Just couldn't concentrate I guess.

At least Don J stepped up to the plate and said he gave AG the diary. That other maid was sure nasty (jealous?).

I feel that Vlad is about to explode.

The way Barb looks at Abora is just plain creepy. Maybe it is just me.

Thanks , Jody, for that very complete and detailed recap. Ahhhh This show is getting so frustrating...so many misunderstandings , misconceptions, and missed opportunities. DDenia has really managed to stir the pot , so Fer and Fr'ed are back to snipping at each other. Telenovela rules would not allow Fr'ed to simple reveal to Fer that DDenia was the one doing the sexual harrassing. [I must say that FC is just asking for more sexual harrassment by wearing that t-shirt and slacks... but again with the yuppy sweater around the shoulders. Que the hell ? Does anyone do that anymore? Wasn't that like a preppy/yuppy thing in the 80s? Fr'ed ~ Either take that sweater/scarf? off or put it on. Basta. [It is a great color for FC..sort of a very deep teal.....Where was I ?] While I'm on my wardrobe rant, what was up with Estif's doublebreasted Grandpa Walton cardigan ? Why do the wardrobe people torture this poor guy ? Oh well, I am so pumped for THE WHINE AND CHEESE FAIR.

Are there any Amor Real recaps? I looked on the sidebar quickly so perhaps I missed them.

Thank you Jody, and I look forward to the Cheese party too because these people party so special.

An observation and a question: What I think I see is Fernanda is preparing charges of sexual harassment on Gardenia's behalf. But EdFr is so giddy with pleasure (he's like a Snoopy dog) that - Gardenia is going to stop crying and be distracted by a new/part time/temp? job. Can he not see Fern's face!? Or am I misreading the situation?

Thanks for the recap Jody. As novelera mentioned, you had an episode that seems to be laying a foundation for the end of the novela.

"Cristeta definitely has to be one of Gardenia's ancestors." Doris that comment almost made me choke...funny.

Bonney - I think your speculation about Fer and the harassment is correct. The reason why Fr/Ed appears to have no clue about Fer's rage is b/c this is another plot devise (my guess) to keep them apart.

Jody, a nicely crafted and very informative recap. I cannot picture Gardenia going along with any sexual harassment claims. I do thing the reality of her relationship with Eddie is beginning to dawn on her, however.

Thanks to el Pelón I'm still wrestling with the image of Mother Superior in a thong.

Carlos

you're all very welcome.

good speculation there, Bonney. And yes, Karen, it is a plot device -- the writers are setting us up for all the upcoming chapters.

i'll be eager to hear from the male contingent what their impressions are on Gardenia's new blue uniform. :)

Susanlynn - "Whine and Cheese Fair" - ha-ha-ha. :)

Jody :)

Thanks, Jody, for the helpful recap. Does anyone else feel that the two Most Evil characters in MEPS (Artemio Bravo and Barbwire) are becoming a little more human and sympathetic (or do I need to adjust my beanie yet again?)? I found Artemio much more human and gentle in his treatment of Lili, while Barbwire seems deeply moved by Abora). Earlier, they were one-dimensional Incarnations of Evil, whereas now....

Fr/Ed was asking to be slapped last night. He had two women who he knows are in love with him standing in front of him, clearly ticked off at him, and he had the nerve to put on that goofy grin and lean against is desk casually with his arms crossed. Even if he didn't know the reason for their anger, he should have been in fight or flight mode with all his senses on full alert!

I saw the snippet of Gardenia in the Lactos uniform and thought to myself, "she sure fills out that uniform differently than Flor or any of the other Lactos staff.."

-Vivi in DC

Yes...I thought Fred's grin was so inappropriate that it was goofy and out of character.

Carlos: Sorry about the thong/habit conflation. I guess I carried the spirit of ecumenism too far.

Speaking of wardrobes: Gardenia in a Lactos uniform? Well I'm all about that!

Language note: someone was wondering the Spanish word for slut--they used it in this TN the other night: ramera

--El Pelón

Vivi...there is a theory that young males are poor at reading facial signs and other emotional signals. Borderline autistic. So they often don't pick up on obvious signals and respond inappropriately.

However, this IS just a theory. What do you think, menfolk?

Jody: Thanks for the great recap. I enjoy your style so much, and appreciate all of the details you provide.

Agree that Vlad is on the edge but he pulled back just in time by not revealing he is the baby daddy. He must be hoping Ani will simply dump Pris once he finds out he's not the father. Poor, deluded Vlad. I suppose no one told him the blood line (no matter who's blood), always comes first.

Diana in MA

JudyB: I thought that Don J sent Ana Gregoria somewhere to learn how to read and write.

Juanita: Bar and Artemio do appear a little more human to me at this point. But, they're going down nevertheless.

Jody: Thanks for the recap.

Thanks, Jody. Love your concise and helpful style.

Grrr. Drives me nuts with frustration when the main love interests in a novela, in this case Fr/Ed and Fer, think the one they really love is "doin' them wrong," so they rush back to the one they DON'T love and get in a little deeper with that person. Couldn't they just once ask the main love what's going on here and clear up the whole misunderstanding? But, I guess if characters checked their facts, a six month TN would be two weeks.

Fr/Ed and Fer get so close and then... hgr

Ooouuuu, I like Vlad's plan being the one you suggest. Of course he's got that Daddy ego thing happening so he still will not keep his mouth closed. Vlad is the smarter of the odd couple. Damian is incapable of making plans. Harking back to his arranging a meeting with Barb, he said I'll meet with Barb here at the apartment and Vlad quickly said NO.ooo don't meet her here. She will know where you live and you won't be safe! So what does Damian do but meet Barb in a wide open statium (think riffle here) with no people traffic. If Damian did not have Vlad and Barb he wouldn't have any brains at all. And his goal to prove Fernanda's having an affair with - by keeping her away from - Franco? No brain a'tall.

I don't think Gardenia is willfully suggesting Franco is sexually harrassing her but she is Gardenia of the speak before think loose lips.

Thanks for a great recap. I depend heavily on the recaps to clarify points for me and they never fail me. I have a comment about the recent surgence of over the shoulders sweaters tied at the neck. This morning I was reading the style/fashion section of the Wall Street Journal (a free subscription due to Delta Airlines letting you exchange expiring frequent flyer miles for newspapers and magazines). Anyway, guess what's new. Someone asked a question about what would look nice with a certain type of shirt and the answer was a sweater draped over the shoulder and tied at the neck. So maybe this is an old style trying to make a comback? OK, gotta go watch the tape.

I also felt that Barb is not being at all discreet about her exceptional interest in Aurora. BTW, Aurora stunned me to by her sudden decisive positive step! Even DimWatt may spot some other kind of sincerity in Barbara's attention to Aurora...maybe not. If she start's talking college plans with Aurora even Abora will figure it out.

I'm seeing Retro-In too Alice. I travel to work on a train going into NYC so I'm seeing stuff I may still have in my unused closet. I noted Fernanda's gathered bouncy cottonish skirts and her stainless steel chain necklace are the choices of the current clotheshorses.

Why is Fr/Ed telling Babs he has the tape?

Fr/Ed should have learned to stay out of arms reach of Gardenia after the 1st incident.

I agree, just ask
Fernanda---"I saw you kissing Gardenia"
Fr/Ed----"I wasn't kissing her, she kissed me, just ask her"
And continue from there, but this is a novela.

Thanks for the recap Jody. I say enough with the sweater around the neck for Franco. It just doesn't look good, even if it coming back into style. However, if you can get past that, I'm sure the women would agree, FrEd filled out the shirt nicely. :)

I was wondering why Lili had to get captured by Artemio, now I can see why. We needed some way to get the backstory of Artemio Bravo/Ana Gregorio out in the open and having Lili read the diary was the way to do that. :)

So, who is Altamira, is that Don Jeronimo's wife? Mother? I'm assuming wife... But then don't see why she would allow Ana to stick around? Unless... as someone mentioned the other day, perhaps Ana has twins. Altamira cannot have kids, decides to let Ana get pregnant by Don J and then takes one of the two kids as her own and kicks Ana out with the other one?

JeffMN

OT -
Susanlynn, where'd you get those great balls of fire for our Clonlungagrams? He's so cute in his exercise shorts. Can we order wardrobes? I want Ric-Ric-Ric fighting outfits and that dove gray long suit with tall hat from Amor Real.
...Not convinced that anything about him is ever off topic.

The protagonists not talking to each to straighten things out is quite common in the TNs. I remember Destilando where they continued to listen to and believe known liars rather than believe the person they had pledged to love and trust their entire lives. :)
After that, saw Pasion and was so amazed that whenever they ran into a problem, they talked to each other and straightened things out! Imagine that, talk to each other and things get better! That must have been part of the reason Pasion was so much shorter than other TNs, they didn't go off track for a couple of weeks. :)

Variopinta, " Fr/Ed----"I wasn't kissing her, she kissed me, just ask her" " Yeah, right, she kissed you... sure, you bet. Definitely take a lot more talking after that to still straighten it out. :)
But... at least a start. :)

JeffMN

Variopinta, the tape Fr/Ed currently has is the one Barbwire got Lili to record saying she was never coming back to the hacienda. Fr/Ed is supposed to get an expert to verify it's really Lili's voice.

The other tape, the one Obregon gave him of Lili saying Barbwire murdered her mother, is in the safe at Las Animas, I believe. Babs knows he has it. Obregon told her when he was tied up to the tree.

I agree completely with Juanita. They are definitely making the two main villains nicer and Damnian completely horrid. Barbara really does feel something for Aurora. She felt it the first time she saw her, then she believed AB when he insisted her child died and decided Aurora was an AB plant to spy on her or some such. Artemio Bravo is growing fond of Lili. I think he's probably a very lonely person.

Jeff- Yes, Altamira is his wife. I saw her telling AnaG to keep writing her "story" as a sort of power/mind game. She is putting AnaG between a rock a a hrad place: Keep writing your "story" about your affair with my husband, which I will read (and which will make me treat you more cruely), or I will kick you out onto the streets with no roof over your head. Not much of a choice there to someone who is powerless.

It's already been established that Altamira has only given him one child (we assume Gonzo), but has failed in giving him more children. AnaG mentioned this through her diary a while ago.

-Vivi in DC

Jeff: Don Jeronimo's wife is Altagracia. Good theory.

Jody: thanks! I missed a few spots while I rested my eyes & I hate gaps in stories; the only thing worse is a dead man at the bottom of the hill with a stilletto heel indentation in his back.

El Pelon: gracias for the Spanish word for slut. I really have to find a way to seperate the 2 languages in my feeble brain.

Susanlynn: poor Esteve with the wardrobe choices. I kept waiting for him to put on some slippers & start singing "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..." ala Mr. Rogers.

I was enthralled with Altamira's eyebrows. Man, they had a life of their own! Don't f** with a woman with a set like that.

Fr/Ed's smile is
just
so
fine
but I agree...he wasn't picking up on the vibes from Nanda & DD. You don't grin like an idiot in a situation like that.

Maggarita
;-)

If the brothers Gonzo and AB are twins, then one of them is vain enough to dye his white hair?
I can imagine that Don Disgusting's wife punished her husband by banishing the child and her child. Could be that maid is so angry because she used to get that attention from Don Disgusting.

Thanks Vivi, I didn't catch that part. I knew she was going to the church to pray for kids, I missed it that there already was one, probably Gonzalo. So, that blows that theory. I guess when she gets pregnant, Alta will say enough is enough and boot her out the door. DJ will probably stand by and say, "Thanks, it was fun. See you."

JeffMN

I must be the only person here who likes the sweater-tied-round-the-neck/shoulders look. I sometimes wear the same look. I also wear a patch madras skirt in the summers. It's a staple in my wardrobe.

Call me 'Hopelessly Preppy.'
:o)

JeffMN, you are forgetting somthing, this is Colunga, so who wouldn't kiss him? The ladies here know.

novelera, I knew it was the tape Babs had Lili make, I just don't get why Fr/Ed would report to Babs that he has it & make a special effort to do it. Was that in a discussion that I missed? The less he tells her the better.

Isn't it Altagracia not Altamira?

Cristeta told Ana that she wasn't the first or last one that Don Jéronimo messed around with. So She was probably a previous victima. She was mocking Ana for her beauty so she definitely jealous.

Those silly grins that Fr/Ed is giving is like he feels caught with his hand in the cookie jar even though he's innocent.

Thank you Variopinta for catching Gonzo's mom's name. It is Altagracia. I'll go change that in the recap right away.

for those who are wondering -- Gonzo and AB are half-brothers. Don Jeronimo is the father for both of them.

Jody :)

Doris, I like the sweater look too. And last nights color was beautiful.

OT - Quickly thinking back I think I decided as a teen that style was about how you choose to present yourself, not about if others are wearing that. BUT I was a music major so we may always have been odd out.

Watched Amor Real at lunch...bathtub scene...that's all I'm saying! ;P Love the costumes in the period novelas. Does Pasion have equally awesome costumes?

Fernanda was in jeans last night. Much better look than that weird yellow thing she was wearing for awhile. What day are we on? Did we have 2 days in one episode?

Thanks, Jody, for such a great and helpful recap.

Oh, I am so glad that someone else thought that Fr/Ed was acting completely GOOFY (that is the right word) especially since Fer was staring daggers at him. I thought he had lost his marbles acting like a giggling schoolboy.

Since Fer seems to be a strong modern woman you'd think she would not want to be in a sham marriage with Damian which is what Fr/Ed is planning with Giggles. An swift annulment should have crossed her mind by now.

Ana Gregoria and Altagracia are beautiful and seem to have similar facial features. I wonder if they are related in real life.

I wonder if they are editing the shows since, as Maggarita, mentioned the old dude is still down the hill...someone should have missed him by now, I hope.

GinCA

I think Franco's grin was pure delight that Gardenia would be off his hands ... Fernanda is giving her a job, and now now he doesn't have to feel guilt about her leaving or being gainfully employed ... not that he should feel guilt for this one, many other things, yes.

And I thought Fr/Ed's smile was just for me...

[le sigh]

Maggarita

Connie,
¡Ay caramba!, is that one hot scene or what?. I wish I was computer literate enough to take my favorite snipets of FC from each FC novela & make my own CD & watch, miro, veo, otra vez, otra vez, y otra vez

Variopinta, yes indeed, I know that. See my earlier post today about filling out his shirt. :) So you are saying if you caught FC kissing someone and he said she kissed me, you would say, "Ah, I see. No problem then. I understand." You are a saint. :) Of course, I have to imagine, that other women may be dead meat. :) All I'm saying... LOL

JeffMN

I am muy confused. A few episodes back, we learned that Altagracia [High Grace, verdad?...I had a student from Dominican Republic with that name] was at church praying for children. I thought that she didn't have any children. Did she already have Gonzo ? It is a strange game she's playing with poor 15 year-old Ana ..forcing her to keep writing her ''love'' [I say, what's love got to do with it ?] story. Que the hell ? Connie~~~I think that if you scroll way down , there might be a brief summary of Amor Real that Melinama did. ..just some photos and an outline of the story. It would be wayyy down. WHICH tub scene did you watch ??? [Yes, there are several.] Also, since the DVD is so abridged, Youtube used to have lots of scenes of both Amor Real and Alborada that you could enjoy [unless they have been poofed out]. For the person who inquired, I purchased my Great Balls of Fire online from Great Balls o' Fire R US .com.

JeffMN, if he were MY FC, I'm sure I wouldn't just leave in a huff, but immediately rush in with ¿Qué the hell is going on here? And hope for a good explanation.

susanlynn, I think Altagracia is just a cruel person. Pobrecita Ana is going to be turned out no matter what, in the rain no less like Aurora. I'm trying to make some connection there. I guess it's Ana is Artemio's madre & Aurora is his hija, turned out by her madre Babs?

Jeff, I thought Babs had the Lili at AB's house tape and she produced it for both Fr/Ed and Fernanda to hear in Fer's office. She must have then given it to Fernanda, because Fernanda delivered it to Franco, being very cold with him because it was after the DDenia attack.

The issue was that Daffy Daddy wanted to call the police, but both Fer and Babs worked on him to hold off until Franco could get the tape analyzed.

So, I don't think it's odd that Barbara knows he has the tape. After all they've made their "devil's pact". Barbwire WANTS him to have the tape to back up her story that it's really Lili.

Variopinta, too bad it was with his housekeeper!

Susanlynn, Yes, I'm pretty sure the diary was read to us as follows: Altagracia already had one child but was going to church to pray for more children. We don't actually 100% know that the one child is Gonzo but we are making that assumption since so far Gonzo seems to be an only child (until we find out "officially" about his half-brother AB} Barbara

I'm so confused

Didn't Babs have Lili record the tape to give to Gonzo saying that it is from Obregón? Then Gonzo gives it to Fernanda to give to Fr/Ed to give to a voice analyst to see if Lili was under duress?

I forgot to add, so why is Fr/Ed telling Babs that he has the tape?

Since I watch both, I can't remember if it was on ENDA or MEPS, but I saw promos for another novela: Tormenta en el Paraiso with Sara Maldonado and Erick Elias. IMBD says it was made in 2007. Can't imagine what it would replace since our three evening TNs are not due to end soon. MEPS likely would be the first one to end of the three, but we had heard El Sortilegio with Wm. Levy was going to replace it. Anybody know anything?

Connie~~~I did some checking. To find the brief recap of Amor Real that Melinama did , you have to go to her recap of the first episode of Alborada. At the beginning of that episode, Melinama provides a link to her recap of Amor Real. Let me know if you find it. I knew that I had seen it many moons ago when I first discovered telenovelas [Alborada] and this TERRIFIC site. I just found her Amor Real synopsis again, so I hope that you can find it too. I think you also asked about Pasion , my third fav novela after Alborada and Amor Real . Yes, it is a historical novela with lots of great costumes, and FC plays A PIRATE !!!! ...SOOOOO we get to see him in both his gentlemanly garments and his PIRATE duds. Have mercy. ...but no baths. We all took on pirate names when we watched...I was Mad Bess. Sylvia still uses her pirate name ''Captain Sharkbait. We got our names at a site where you took a quiz and your pirate name was generated for you.

Novelera... I think Tormenta is replacing Juro Que Te Amo in the afternoon. Juro is ending, maybe today? We knew Juro was ending, but they had not been advertising any new shows until the last couple of days and Tormenta started to show up. So, I think it will be an afternoon show. Not sure if it will keep the 2:00 CDT time or if they'll shuffle the lineup. The afternoon lineup was shuffled when they brought in the last new PM show. Looking at Wiki, interesting that on Televisa, Juro replaced Tormenta, while here it looks like Tormenta is replacing Juro.

Variopinta... I think you have it correct about the tape. And, like you, I don't know why FrEd had to tell Barb he had it?? Barb created the tape, Barb gave it to FrEd, he took it to Fer and they listened to it. They took it to Gonzo and they listened to it. Barb and Fer convinced Gonzo not to bring in the cops and Fer convinced Gonzo that FrEd knew a tape expert who could analyze the tape, not sure what they would be looking for? Fer took the tape back to FrEd and he called Barb and told her he had it. Why call? Only thing I can see is just to have a story line red herring, give Barb a reason to have some time to compose herself with a good lie before talking to Aurora. :)

Thanks, Jeff, for the info on Tormenta. I guess I was jumping to a false conclusion: that they advertise upcoming evening novelas on the current evening novelas. Hadn't thought about them advertising a daytime one during ENDA (which I now think is where I saw it). Part of the problem is that I watch them on a DVR, so I fast forward through the commercials so am not aware of how much promos they do. I only back up and review if it is about a coming novela.

Thanks Susanlynn. I thought I had seen a recap for Amor but couldn't remember where it was. I've been to that pirate site. It's a hoot! So should I watch Pasion after I finish Amor Real? So far I'm not all that impressed with it.

Pasofino did the recap ages ago, but we can't make the comments yet. You can read it here

Jeff, Fr/Ed is having the tape analyzed to see if they think Lili was being forced to talk.

Am I the only one that can't get the Thurs recap?

Variopinta, If you go back to the page you usually go to labeled caray's manana bookmarks and then hit the blue tab in the upper left hand corner labeled caray--you'll get a listing of all the recaps for the entire site including Thurs. recap. I don't know why it is not showing up in the usual spot. Barbara

I did go to the blog to read it, but I can't read the comments.

Barbara,
ok, I did what you suggested & got the comments, tks
