ENDA, September 2, 2009

I am so sorry for not having the recap. I went home early yesterday from work with a migraine. I promise when I get home tonight that I will recap it and have it posted so you can see it tomorrow morning. Please post your comments.

Well quick recap Romina tells Paloma shes a hoe (golfa) in front of Aaron and Aaron gets in Romis face all fierce looking defending Pal & he clearly looks that the only thing preventing him from poping Romina in the chin is the fact that she is a girl more to come.

part two... then Cam Mac the doc and Bloom (Orlando) go on a double date at a restaurante where Cam and Bloom (Orlando) see Emi's dad alone earlier he says hello to both and drops the line I was here to try and finalize my divorce from D lol did anyone ask? no is the answer

Part tres.... Roe is all depressed and being a drama queen and calls Paloma up and says what ever happens to me you are responsible and your gonna feel guity afterwards and hangs up the phone.
Pal tries calling back non-stop and Roe does not pick up because she is taking a bunch of pills in what seems to be a half ass attempt at suicide but the poor girl is crying and writes a note Saying something like Emiliano i did it for you and i love you I think?????
Back at the restaurant Bloom (yes Orlando) excuses himself to the mens room i think or to make a phone call and to his shock and surprise he see's D thats Diana folks they are both stunned to see each other she says he calls her by another nasty name likr Ornelia or something she says what are you doing in Real del Monte and he says we need to talk about us our kid and of couse she wants the earth to swallow her whole in that moment and she is trying to leave

Part four..... as Diana tries to escape Orlando wants to talk to D but she takes of running when the doc swings by to the mens room and says something to Orlando he runs after her but she hides behind some palm plant.
Romina is in pain in her room and goes down on the floor back to Orlando hes all outta sorts sitting at the table Cam noticed and asked whats up he tells her he saw the woman who left him with his unborn child i guess (& well its a fact now that Emi is Blooms Son) He tells Cami he will find her when Diana gets home she says out laoud crap Orlando Orlando Ferrer Emilianos boss .

Gloria, no worries. I hope your migraine passes quickly. Never had one myself, but my excellent co-worker who's originally from Mexico suffers from them. And my best friend had them as well.

The name Orlando called Diana by was Gudelia. I can see why she changed it to Diana.

So far, so good. Emiliano is holding firm and not giving in to Romina's game. And her mom isn't blaming Emiliano and/or going along with Romina's emotional blackmail.

Great flyover view, Anonymous, you hit the important points in a very entertaining way.

Gloria, I hope you're feeling better! Rest up as much as you need to!

So anyway, at the end, Romina didn't die, and she blamed Emiliano for everything and he's feeling all guilty and overwhelmed even though the obvious case is that girl needs serious psychiatric help. Romina talks to her mother about how she slept with Emil so now that he won't have her, her life is over and no one will want her. Camila is like, get a grip, you should have waited, but this is not the time of the Inquisition, it's hardly a crisis.

So Diana changed her name?! Sneaky twerp. And Orlando almost for sure (never really sure until the show is over) is Emiliano's biological father. I wonder why Di left Orlando in the first place. Maybe he didn't have any money at the time.

Gloria: I hope you're feeling better and I look forward to reading your recap next week.

Thank you Anon for posting all of the comments. Enjoyed "Orlando Bloom":) Totally agree Aron was fierce and really got in Romina's face.

As we've been speculating, it's hard enough to believe that Diana and Orlando never ran into each other (despite living in the same neighborhood for some time). She never recognized Orando's name as her son's employer? Also, didn't she visit Emiliano at work as well? Beanie time.

I don't really care that Di was upset, but felt terrible for Orlando. Once everything comes to light, although he and Emiliano can strengthen their bond as adults and friends, time spent together as Emiliano grew up can never be recaptured. Thankfully, Emiliano did have Rafael, who is his father in every sense of the word.

Romina's suicide attempt was very upsetting. Her pain was palpable. Watching her take all of those pills, I thought she truly meant to kill herself. Was she really counting on her mother finding her? It was a terrible gamble.

The aftermath scenes of Romina and Camila were sensational. Two great actresses, gut wrenching and heart breaking.

Something has to give here. I love this telenova but there has to be a little relief, a little levity.

Gloria, feel better fast and don't worry about the recap. And Anon thanks for your fun summary. It's appreciated.

So it's been 26 years since Bloom was abandoned by pregnant Gulina/Diana? She has changed her looks somehow but it has been 26 years. So Emil is 25 or 26 years old and Paloma is 17 going on 18 years soon? This is creepy, IMO, but then that is my cultural view.

The restaurant's stained glass ceiling was beautiful. What an upscale restaurant for a tiny town or maybe it's a retirement or resort community or a wealthy mining (silver) town? Must look up Pachuca area on Wiki.

Emil, hold fast, and don't feel guilty and cave to Romina.

Hope you feel better soon, Gloria.

Maggie and Julia--thanks so much for your hilarious recaps this week. Since there isn't going to be any humor in this show, it's much appreciated to have it in the recaps.

How about Cruelota? Hears about Romina going off in an ambulance and immediately chimes in that everyone around Paloma dies! When she said that I had a mental image of myself teeing off on her head with a Louisville Slugger.

Anonymous thank you so much for giving the recap for me. I really appreciate it. Feeling better. It takes a couple of days to feel like yourself after having an episode.

Anon great recap. I dozed off and missed the last half. You brought me up to speed. Very engrossing... thanks a lot.

Glad you're feeling better, Gloria.

When they first showed the ceiling of that restaurant I thought we were in a fancy church or something. That was a really nice place. I was surprised Rafael and Diana would go there since he at least tries to be a little thrifty, but I guess he wanted to cushion the divorce-paper-delivery blow a little.

It's not intentional humor, but to me it's pretty funny to watch Cruelota lash out with her usual caustic responses and then remember her scheme and try to backtrack into niceness.

I hope all those suicide pills Romina swallowed do not affect the health of German's baby. It would be a shame for Emiliamo to be forced to marry her and then have a disadvantaged kid.
Obviously Gudelia had a healthy pregnancy to deliver a wonderful son such as big E.

Thank you anon for filling in. And Gloria, I’m so sorry that you have to suffer through migraines. What an affliction! I hope it’s better very soon.

I thought this was a great episode. The character of Romina is fascinating – she’s so fragile and so foolish. I believe it was a real suicide attempt, but with what a stupid motive, to punish Paloma and Emiliano. Super acting on that scene.

And Rafa takes Diana to a public place to drop divorce papers on her? That was a lapse in judgment. I love the way his leaving is portrayed – he has just lost interest. He doesn’t seem to be angry now, just bored. We see how pointless it is for Diana to make any effort to get him back, but of course she doesn’t see it.

That restaurant really was something. That, along with the picturesque plaza, cafes, and streets plus the aerial view make our show look like an ad for Real del Monte tourism. I know I’m ready to go!

Camila should have told Orlando that she had set up a double date…

Hey, folks. Real del Monte is an actual town and is known for its silver mines. Who knew. Anyway, there are quite a few sites on the net. It would be fun to visit.

What a group!! thanks Anon for filling in nicely for Gloria. Gloria, I hope you feel better soon. Please do try and get some rest.
What was that Romina thinking? As if her death would be a blow to the world. Her mom would be the only one who would miss her and of cause German.Paloma and Emil would move on happily without her.Silly girl. Camila needs to stop indulging her. what a weak mother. Sorry, I just don't like brats...........

I agree, it was a stupid move on Romina's part...leaving Paloma and Emiliano to comfort each other...

I'm thinking of taking a trip to some of the mountain towns of Mexico this winter. Real del Monte is looking so nice in this show, maybe it will end up on the itinerary. If I do get there I'll take lots of pictures and notes to share.

That Restaurant looked great, I would love to see a menu!

Didn't Orlando tell Camila that he ran into his X and she looked the same? I think that's what he said as my spanish is pretty bad.. anyway ugh..yuck...I thought he would have said..."glad I didn't marry that one"
Wonder if they will end up back together as lost loves???

Victoria Ruffo (Macarena) is married to Omar Fayad, who is the municipal president of Pachuca, the sister city of Real del Monte. I think she had some pull in getting them such great access to the city and all its beautiful sites. It makes me want to visit- minus the evil, purple wearing inhabitants.

Julia, a couple of years ago I visited, in this order: the cities of Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Pátzcuaro, and San Miguel de Allende. All were wonderful. Zacatecas was great because it's NOT overloaded with tourists and is a beautiful town. I flew into Leon and cabbed it to Guanajuato for the Cervantes Festival. The rest of my trips were by bus. My experience with the buses in Mexico was excellent: comfortable, airconditioned and right on time.

Novelera, I am going to the Cervantes festival this year and I'm VERY excited. Do you have any advice for things that I must not miss while there? I have never been to Guanajuato before. I will only be there for about five days.

Sylvia, you will love Guanajuato. It's a beautiful town. Hope you have room reservations. I left it a bit late and had to pay more for farther away. La Alhóndiga de Granaditas is a museum that was the site of a famous battle in 1810. Wonderful guides stand in the courtyard and describe the battle very colorfully. I enjoyed the museum that was the childhood home of Diego Rivera. El Museo Iconografico de Don Quixote is also very interesting, thousands of images of Don Quixote in every kind of art medium.

All the events at the Cervantes Festival seem interesting. They honor one Mexican town and one foreign country each season. I didn't have tickets in advance, just tried for things at the box office. Saw Othello in Lithuanian with Spanish supertitles! It was excellent, with lots of dance and even acrobats. I also saw a wonderful play in Spanish by a theater group called El Rinocerante Enamorado!

Thank you for the tips! I do have a room reserved thank goodness, plus I also have a crash pad just in case. I know some folks who live there, and they have gotten some tickets to a few performances, not sure what. I love all kinds of live performance so it doesn't really matter. A special thanks for the Don Quixote museum. He is one of my favorite literary characters and has a special significance for me. I had no idea there was such a place in Guanajuato. I'll try to visit both places. I also want to do what you did, get last minute tickets to some great sounding act and see how it all pans out. If you think of anything else let me know. Gracias amiga!

Sylvia, don't know if you're still checking back here, but our character from MEPS Steve Norton is going to be at the Cervantes Festival:

Have you looked at the web site? Lots of interesting performances. The Sin Sangre theater piece from Chile sounds particularly interesting to me.

Hi Novelera, yes I have thiw post tagged for follow up. Very cool about Esteve Norton. I will be there on the 18th and will try to catch one of his shows if possible. What a hoot that would be. I agree, Sin Sangre sounds excellent. I have a friend in Guanajuato and I know she got tix to Paquito D'Rivera but I'm not sure what else. The web site has much more info on it than the last time I checked. Feel free to email me directly if you have any other ideas, sseaberg@gmail.com.
