Sortilegio: Our new Monday recapper isn't quite ready yet--Discussion page
I don't think the new Monday recapper Khavele realized we usually get the recaps up the night of the show. So she was planning to post, evidently - tonight. So in the mean time, if anybody wants to discuss, feel free to use this post. Sorry!

I'm still loving William Levy and Jacqueline Bracamonte in this novela. That is, as long as she doesn't show too much of her gums and that silly sand-paper giggle that she did in Tontas.
I also love Vickie and her young man, what's his name. If the roles were reversed, no one would be kvetching about it out there.
It seems like so much has happened in this novela already. Murder, attempted murder, forgery, lust, love and intrigue at every turn. I just hope we don't have to live with Alejandro as he searches the world for Maria Jose.
Bruno plots to take the girls and papa to the US after getting them paper or passports in Mexico City. He and Eric may be the only willing passengers going across the border. Paula never had it so good, and she knows it and doesn't want to leave. And, I wonder if papa really needs as much protection as the girls think he does.
I also love the decor in the mansion. It reminds me that this is really Fantasyland.
Also, I hope Vickie isn't forced into making a Sofi's choice, but, that may be inevitable. At least it won't be between good and good.
I'm still trying to figure out what those dangly things are hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room.
I love those hanging beads. They're so random. It's not like they're even used as a room divider; they are right in the way where everyone always has to walk through them. Maybe they make (more) rainbows when the light hits them.
Alejandra: So how was last night with my dad?
Fernanda: Oh, it went well. We had dinner, a movie then a night of passion. Oh, he was so gentle with me...
Alejandra: Okaaay. Sorry I asked. Awkwaaard.

I can just hear it now. "Viewerville's" collective groan.

I didn't think I would watch this TN since WL and JB are not my favorites but they seem to be growing on me as is the novela.

Thank you Recappers and Jardinera you have silenced all my guilt over not reading great books anymore.
Only one thing, I think it's time to cut MJ some slack on her gummy smile (They look like dentures to me).
I'm also a Vickie fan. Her heart is in the right place. She and WL are my 2 favorites.
As for the age difference discussion, I know we're supposedly condeming the mother-best friend relationship and not the age difference, Still, men who share intimate details of a relationship with a friend have no idea how many times that friend tries to hit on the woman behind his back. Some men lie and say that what happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom. But as we know, some men like to make other men envious by sharing intimate details of what happens in the bedroom. Many men would end a friendship if they found out that their friend was dating their mom. Otherwise, if he could handle the man as a friend, then he should be able to handle comments like "your mom gives a good backrub". I know that would not have worked with either of my brothers to have a so called friend discuss my mother in the same tone that they would discuss someone they met in a bar.
PS: I was hoping that the nicknames Mau and Pau wouldn't stick. They sound so ugly.

It seems that WL and MJ only smile at each other/enjoy each other when they go out to dinner ALONE - hint, hint, you all need to be ALONE for a while to work out your differences and find a common ground.

I agree! Alex is quite manipulative and ruthless with MJ. (Not that I would mind him being ruthless with me). He pressures her and then turns on the charm as soon as Bruno is around. I can see why he doesn't trust her but GEEZ....
I do love a smart hero, though!
I think we should vote Paula off the island. Stealing from your sister—How tacky! Paula seems like all-around bad news.
He actually looks to be a friendly sort in them, much friendlier than he appears in Sortilegio.

You have a point. Alex does seem to be moving toward really liking MJ. I still think he has been a bit rough with her though.
Vivi:
I think Bill Withers sang that song...Now I am going to have that refrain going round and round in my head. "...Til you use me up.."I should be so lucky ;D!
Well, bless you my child..that was thoughtful of you.
I would really like to know more about Fernando.
Felipa would be the perfect fairy godmother. :)
Bruno looks GREAT in short sleeves! Can I hear an amen.
Now that Alex feels MJ is just a victim in the scheme, he'll ease up on her a bit, I think. But I don't blame him for staking his claim to her whenever Bruno comes in the room. He's not so much using her as he is warning Bruno to stay AWAY and not dare harm MJ anymore than he already has.
Especially with all the gold-digging Mauras he's probably had in his life. He's a corporate executive who knows appearances can be very deceiving.
He is NOT Juan Miguel San Roman (Cuidado), thank gawd. Meh.

Connie - Good for you! Spring - Autumn etc.
I think Ale, and MJ are feeling the Chemistry, along with viewerville.
I thought it might be Lulu when I first saw her.
And JudyB and Connie -- I really like Bruno too, in a bad boy kind of way - not his actions, of course, but David Zepeda does have quite a body! I think he also starred in several mexican soaps and worked for TV Azteca for a bit as a show host and one of the leads in the novela they produced "Amores Cruzados". I didn't watch Acorralada regularly, but did enjoy all the beach/shirtless scenes they had there (both DZ and WL!), even though the storyline was not very good. Sortilegio though is beating records, Zepeda is acting great and WL is doing a really good job as well!
