ENDA Tuesday November 24. “I’ll NEVER love again!...Why, hello there, hottie.”

In the street, Carlota snottily snots to Alonso that she has way better manners than he has. Practically in the same breath she says she doesn’t understand why his wife forgave him for tomcatting around. Who said this wasn’t a comedy?! He apologizes for having accused her of murder and says obviously she is just looking out for her beloved niece. She accepts his apology in the most stuck-up way possible and leaves. Alonso thinks to himself that he will be watching her every move.

Carloca is doing some shopping and is accosted by Diana, who feels the need to do some good works with the church ladies because she wants to associate with good women, since it seems her former friends just want to steal her husband. Carloca is shocked and outraged that there are shameless hussies who will destroy relationships and thinks those women should be publicly denounced. I guess she didn’t read that bible story all the way to the end. Carloca agrees to help Diana, even though she really hates to meddle in other people’s lives (!), because she really must uphold the values of Immoral del Monte.

Samuel swings by Camila’s shop to accuse her of having been a terrible mother, as Romina’s pregnancy proves. He says she did as bad a job as her own mother did with her. Is he insinuating that they married because they were expecting Romina? Camila yells that he has no right to judge her parenting not having bothered to even do a poor job himself, and throws him out. He steals some tchotchke on his way. Monica assured Cami that she was the best mother possible.

Romina finds Carlota and tells her their plan has worked and Emiliano has agreed to marry her. However, she does not want to be a mother, and it’s too late to abort. Romi wants Cruel to help her get rid of the brat forever as soon as the wedding is over. Cruelota says it’s hard for her to help since this is against her principles. I’m guessing those principles would be the ones against helping people, not the Catholic principles against abortion or killing or anything. But she does have some ideas; for example she knew of a girl who had a miscarriage from “accidentally” falling down the stairs.

Dour Inés dooms and glooms her way into the Platería Ferrer and blames Angélica for Aaron’s exile and asks to see Orlando. She is escorted into his office along with a lot of tragic music. Orly glares at her.

Romina doesn’t like the idea of falling down the stairs; it’s too dangerous. Carlota is the voice of reason for once and suggests she just put the baby up for adoption. But no, she must trap Emiliano into marrying her. “Fine, be stuck with a baby your whole life. Be sure to invite us to the wedding. We’re dying to be there, especially Paloma.”

Paloma knocks on Emiliano’s apartment door. He answers. They both stand there looking all emotional foreeeeeeever. Finally they let their lips take over.

Inés agrees to confess everything to Orlando as long as he promises to never let Diana find out she told. He says fine, but Emiliano must know the truth.

Emiliano and Paloma agree that they don’t want to split up. However, they are both martyrs, so they must, and thus this is the last time they can smooch. Wait, isn’t the wedding not for a few weeks? More tears, more liplocking.

Orlando and Inés agree to terms, and Orlando asks Ange to send Emiliano in. However, Emo has not returned from his long lunch break. Ange dials the phone and leaves Emo an urgent summons message.

Paloma tells Emo she’s going to go to school in México City. He doesn’t want her to go. She says she can’t stand to be around if he’s married to Romina. More sobbing, more kissing. Paloma gets all melodramatic (even more than usual) and wants One Last Kiss, then says adios about a thousand times and finally leaves. She only makes it to the other side of the door before she must lean on the wall to wail pitifully. Inside, Emo collapses on the floor to do the same. These two are delightful. We are treated to a montage of happier times. Then back to the present. Looks like Emo has found an onion and dredged up some real tears.

Romina continues her tour of terror and drops into Camila’s shop. Camila still thinks the wedding is a bad bad bad idea and begs Romina not to make the same mistake Cami made. Also she tells Romi not to idolize her wretched father. Romememena pays the usual amount of attention to her mother’s wisdom.

A huge basket of flowers is delivered to Carlota. She thinks they are from Cris; I’m guessing Sam. The note is romantic but unsigned. Carloca looks a little hot and bothered.

Diana rant scene. Honestly, I have a little trouble following her lunatic diatribes, but I think she wants to stone Camila and keep the apron strings strangling Emiliano, to loosely paraphrase.

Paloma has gone to the office to cry on Ange’s shoulder. The perfect place to avoid Emiliano, obvi, since the owner’s son/partner needn’t bother showing up. Ange tells Paloma that, believe it or not, she isn’t the only one who has suffered, and Ange knows just what she’s going through. She’ll get over it with time. Paloma of course thinks everything is worse for her and she is never going to get attached to anyone again. Ange tells her if she doesn’t take risks she may not suffer as much but she won’t enjoy life, either.

Emiliano mopes on the sofa and listens to Angélica’s message. He calls Orlando and agrees to go meet with him and Inés. As he’s leaving, Romina appears at the door. She wants to talk wedding details. He is not interested but tells her they aren’t having a church wedding, only civil.

Cris carries Rufi’s bags for her and tells her Alonso is in a good mood and helping Team Good Guys. He says Cruel doesn’t want him anywhere near Paloma. Rufi begs him not to abandon her.

Romememena says they are having a showstopper of a wedding, civil, church, big reception, honeymoon in Europe, the works. Emo says just the civil wedding, which he is only doing for the baby, not because he wants to be married to her. A big church wedding would be a farce since she never even goes to mass and is pregnant. She isn’t going to manipulate and control him any further. Romina bats her eyelashes and makes a pouty face I’m sure she thinks is endearing but he holds his ground.

Germán calls someone about Carlota’s papers, then calls Carlota to say that the papers are on their way and he will deliver them personally as soon as they arrive. She reminds him to be utterly discreet. Oh, he’s definitely going to read them now. Carlota thinks to herself that this will keep Paloma from finding out about her money at least until she is 21, and by then Cruel will have thought of a new plan.

Diana sees Emiliano get out of his car and go into Inés’s house. She hopes it isn’t about what she thinks. Inside, Inés tells Emo that she beat up Diana, not Orlando, at Diana’s request. Emo is stunned.

Romina tries on wedding dresses and whines that she looks fat, as Camila comments that she’s bound to lose her waistline seeing as how she is pregnant and tries to talk her into a more accommodating empire-waist gown. Romi, however, wants to look as skinny as possible and says the wedding is this weekend. Then she unleashes escalating brattiness until Cami loses it and tells her to be more respectful or else.

Paloma goes to the church to continue her tearfest. She walks up to the choir loft and through a hatch and out into the bell tower. She starts climbing over the balcony rail. Sheesh, what melodrama. A man down in the street sees her and runs to save the day. He pulls her off the railing and naturally they tumble to the floor and Paloma lands on top of him. He turns out to be a rather handsome young dude, of course, and they stare at each other. Looks like that twisted little pest Cupid is running amok again.

Avances: Romina prepares for the wedding by dressing up like a princess. Emiliano prepares by bawling in Cristóbal’s lap.

Please enough angst with Paloma, i am so tired of it already i wanted her to jump.

That new guy is adorable super cute and brown I love it as Emil is a lil too light for my taste.

Love your style, Julia and I can tell how much you're enjoying this scintillating show...especially the scenes with Emiliano and Paloma. Well, looks like our tearful heroine is about to make another conquest. Bring 'em on!

I was hoping Paloma would jump (j/k).

The first thing out of my mouth when I saw that dude was "Oh S**t". Super fine. let's see what happens.

I'm glad Em seems to be holding his ground. I'm also hoping German blabs about the will for Paloma.

Great recap, Julia.

"snottily snots" and "Immoral del Monte" - signature Julia. I laughed out loud at the title - excellent.

The new guy IS hot. From the few seconds we saw, I thought he looked like a cross between Emiliano and Alex (from Guapos). I guess they aren't wasting a second in bringing in yet another hot galan...

There are moments when Romina seems vulnerable but they pass quickly. Her character's not warming up to children (perhaps even her own) wasn't surprising, but her wish to stage an "accident" was. I keep hoping she'll wake up and end the madness.

I thought maybe Alonso sent Carlota the flowers as some sort of ruse.

"Why, hello there, hottie." Lol! Too funny. Whatever it is that Paloma is exuding that attracts these cute young men to her like bees to pollen, she needs to bottle it and sell it! That will get her enough cash to leave real del Monte and pay for college. Inaki, Emiliano, cute hot stranger...even creeps like Aaron and Germy have been drawn to her. Can Eau d' Helpless be so irresitable?

Thanks for the recap Julia. Your title was great. Oh joy, another man hopeless smitten with our sad heroine. Poor Em will be jealous and trapped with Romememena. I thank you and the other recappers and hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving.

I'm hoping for a little comeuppance turns up soon as it is difficult now with the baddies having such a field day. I'll probably tune in tonight and see. Now that Em knows what his mother is capable of, he's going to help his father get a divorce. I just hope Diana doesn't harm Camilla.

I like Paloma..what is not to like aside from the fact that she is everyone's doormat. But I don't think I can watche her cry and wail one more time. I still think Liliana should be the heroine..she is awesome and doesn't have a pity party every day.

Great recap Julia - I cracked up when the new dude practically tackled Pal, he didn't even try to talk to her! I'm surprised they already brought someone in to distract her from Emil, the love of her life. She certainly attracts a lot of cute guys for someone who dresses either like a little girl or an old lady, of course, that's not her fault. I guess they can tell.

I thought the same thing about the flowers for Loca, that it might be Alonzo. Does he know about her obsession with Cris?

Did they say who the flowers were from? I missed that part and thought they were from Samuel.

Julia – excellent snark and very funny!

I wonder if Alonso is trying to de-fang Carlota by pretending to be sorry. I loved the comment yesterday about him looking like a melodrama villain who just needs a twirly moustache to complete the picture.

Does Carlota know about Camila and Rafa? I’m thinking she doesn’t, so why is she so eager to stamp out husband stealers? Maybe she just needs a new hobby now that she’s successfully offed her sister and separated Paloma and Em.

I thought Alisson did a great job with the goodbye scene, but our poor Emiliano actor just looked blank for most of it.

Erik – welcome! I loved your comment. Yeah, what’s up with all these blondie leading men? If Eugenio Siller and William Levy aren’t of German extraction, I’ll eat my hat. I’d like to see more dark-eyed romantic types. And of course so many of the women have their hair dyed blonde, but that’s a subject that’s been mulled over extensively here and elsewhere.

Diana – I agree about Romina’s flashes of vulnerability. She had many more of those in the beginning, and now she’s hardening or just gone totally into a fantasy world, I’m not sure which. Anyway, her underlying pain makes her interesting.

I'm pretty sure the flowers were from Samuel – he ordered up a bouquet yesterday, though they didn’t indicate then who the flowers were for.

Oh, you're right, it did show Sam ordering a bouquet. I guess there is no way Al would know about Cris anyway. I thought it was funny when Rufi had to backtrack from her surprise that anyone would send flowers to the Loca.

The way they overdid the parting between Em and Pal, I was happy to see the new galan too.

I was laughing at Rufi also, i am hoping that now Alonso is back. That will distract Carloca from Rufi instead but we all know La Loca can multi-task though.

I had to hit the snooze button for the Paloma and Emil parting. Too much crying already.

Thanks, Julia, for a great recap. I loved your title, though frankly I don't believe that Paloma is going to shift gears/galans so easily.

Excellent recap, Julia. You really write well. Especially liked "escalating brattiness". Romina is SUCH a snot. I think her mom actually did slap her once after one of her insults. I long to slap her every time she's on screen!

Erick Elias, the likely new man to fall for Paloma, is quite handsome. I saw him for the first time in El Cuerpo del Deseo where Mario Cimarro played the main galan. Maggie, I think you were welcoming Erick to our ENDA community, but the commenter was referring to him as the new character.

I was surprised Romina settled for the civil ceremony so quickly. That should prove key. I can't remember if I've ever seen a divorce on a Mexican telenovela. Perhaps the fraud involved would merit an annulment.

I really don't understand how Romina expects to get rid of the kid. This seems like one of the few lapses of logic in this one. The doctor already told her it was too dangerous to abort. When she's married to Em, he's not going to let her give away the newborn. This part doesn't make sense to me.

Anonymous 1:44: I agree that the parting with Paloma and Emil was waaaay too long. I took the opportunity to blow dry my hair.

~Caborita

Thanks, Novelera, I didn't realize Erik was the new guy!

Yeah, it doesn't make sense that RoME could give up the baby, but that conversation was before she found out Emil wouldn't agree to a church wedding, I think. It must be that a civil wedding doesn't count in the church and that way a divorce can happen, right?

No logic there, you're right, as he wouldn't go along with that and would divorce her for sure.

I think I might like this new guy. I was just wondering the other day why all our current Univision prime-time galáns are fair. All else being equal, I like 'em dark.

Also, he must be much more fit than Emiliano if he could bound up all those stairs so fast. Remember when it took Emo so long to catch up with Paloma when she was running in a wedding dress and fancy shoes?

I hate the way Romina orders her mother around, while insulting her the whole time. It is high time she got some comeuppance. I still don't know why Germs likes her. Yes, she's pretty, but there are lots of pretty girls.

Wow A New Guy So Fast, This Is Crazy, But Atleast Maybe It Will Stop Paloma From Crying Anymore, Like We Need To See More Of That, And I Do Believe When Carlota Was Reading The Card At The End It Said "S" So I Would Think That Means Samuel, Who Else Could She Think It Was That Has The Letter "S"? Well Let's Hope Todays Episode Brings Less Crying And More Action =D

Caborita lol i think about you next time these two whiners are on screen. Since Erick Elias was introduced last night. I guess we should be expecting the Cesar Evora character soon.

I don't know why Camila puts up RoMEna's brattiness but should teach her and her deadbeat father a lesson. Tell RoMEna to go stay with her father from now on.

Tell Samuel he should be responsible for the wedding and anything eles RoMEna needs from now on. Watch how quick Samuel goes back under the rock he crawl out from.

Then see how fast RoMEna learns how to respect her mother.

I saw a promo, this week I think, that announced César Evora would be coming soon on ENDA. He was clean shaven and you couldn't tell from the promo whether he was going to be a good guy or a bad guy.

Erick Elias is apparently one of those actors that has been permitted to act on both Telemundo and Univision. As I said before I saw him in El Cuerpo del Deseo (Telemundo) and Zorro (Telemundo). But I think he's been on one of the daytime novelas on Univision. I never bother with the daytime ones; I'm on overload as it is! And now he's added to the cast of our current Univision novela.

Novelera are you saying Telemundo and Univision put restrictions on their actors that they can't act for their rival.

I have seen plenty of actors switch back and forth between them two. Erick most definitely won't be the first.

I think while some actors switch back and forth between studios, others have exclusive contracts. I seem to remember it was kind of a big deal when Sylvia Navarro left Azteca and went to Televisa for MEPS.

No, Erick is not the first. From what I understand, Televisa and/or Univision finally let up on letting the actors work both places - probably a couple of years ago. I know it was a big deal when Victoria Ruffo did a Telemundo novela (Victoria).

However, when Mauricio Islas signed for a Telemundo novela, they took his name and picture off the beginning credits of Amor Real (he had already completed the part). It's my understanding that at the time Amor Real was being made, you would be blackballed if you tried to work for Telemundo.

I hope this doesn't qualify as gossip and removal by melinama.

I'm pretty sure that's not gossip--it is about the actors' professional lives and is official information. It is not speculation or about their personal lives.

Novelera – fascinating stuff! You are very well informed. I agree with Julia that this is safe, as it’s about the mechanics of telenovela making.

I think there is a slight difference between the rivality between Televisa and Telemundo and the one between Televisa and TV Azteca, as the first comes from the rivality between Telemundo and Univision. Only some cable stations have Telemundo in México so it's not a threat to Televisa here, but on USA it's in direct competicion to Univision.

TV Azteca is in direct competicion for ratings with Televisa in México so the rivality is pretty tense. Silvia Navarro was one of the biggest stars of TV Azteca (of 7 leads she had, 6 were huge ratings successes) so Televisa snagging her was HUGE, plus there was a big legal battle as Silvia claimed she had finished her contract and Azteca claimed she had to do another novela, this battle cost her the lead role on Pasión since she had already reunited with Carla Estrada to work on it. However when an actor finishes his or her contract they are free to go to work on another network, Televisa can choose to sign them again or not if they want to go back. If they want to go to Telemundo it would be much more easy than going to TV Azteca though, you get to here a little bit of Telemundo actors on the entertainment shows in Televisa but the ones from Azteca are completely banned, they can't even be mentioned.
