Ok let's start off with Alex conversation with Ferdumbo. Alex when will you learn not to tell your step mom boy toy anything of importance.

After telling him MJ is pregnant and your very sure Bruno gave her the key to the hotel, then you tell not to tell Vicki anything. How many times have you said that to that idiot and he still opened his big mouth.

Now for the biggest idiot and bitch of them all Vicki, your step son just threw out the only woman he has loved and her family that day. You are asking him is he sad are you for real?

Then this stupid heifer true reason for asking him this asinine question was to get to her true agenda. Bruno still wants the presidency, would you consider giving it to him.

I like how when Alex had enough of her stupidity he switches from calling her madre to Victoria. Which he did and told her under no circumstance would he give her precious Bruno the presidency.

She had the nerve to look disappointed because Alex is not going to preserve her precious name.

No Ramera Vicki you don't deserve that kind of respect. Alex has done nothing but bend over backwards for you and your two demon spawns.

You and your fake sympathy so he can now hand over all his hard work to your undeserving murderous mad dog son is totally ridiculous to even broach the subject.

I really hope Bruno drags your name through the mud like really deserve. Headline son of Ramera, Victoria Lombardo and the perro Antonio Lombardo sign by Bruno.

This disgusting heifer has prove time and time again how much a selfish bitch she is. She could careless about how much Alex is hurting from his breakup.

look how she glossed over the fact when Alex told her MJ and her family were going back to their hometown. Oh maybe it's for the best, and would you mind giving the presidency to Bruno.

Too right, serendipityb!! Alex was very serious when he told Vic's idiot boy toy he didn't want ANYONE to know about MJ being pregnant, not even Vic. Do any of you think the idiot is going to be able to keep from sharing with Vic sometime in the very near future??


Victoria throws her arms in the air and I couldn't make it all out.

Bruno says of course he is going to insist on being made president. He is the oldest son and it is his right. (No, it's not. Not when your father knowingly put your younger brother in charge.) He asks Vic if she's going to support him in this, clearly expecting her to say she will because he is her firstborn and favorite. Even Vic the Queen of Denial can't stop herself looking at Bruno like he's taken crazy pills, but she should know Bruno well enough by now to understand that nothing short of an anvil is going to make an impression. If she were Felipa, her response (walking away waving her hands in dismissal) would make sense. Even though I didn't really expect her to have the guts to tell Bruno to get over it already, I can't help wondering what will happen when it comes down to the lawsuit Bruno is pushing for. Will she have the guts then to stand up and say, "Antonio picked Alex because he knew Bruno can't run the company.?" I don't think so.

One thing Vic's idiot boy toy did do right today was to tell his sister not to believe the stuff Raquel tells her.

LOL on Paula's very obvious disappointment that Alex didn't tell MJ he knows she's pregnant. Paula so thought they would be moving back to the manse.

I didn't see all of the episode, but at one point Meche definitely pleaded with Chucho not to tell Alex that Gabriel wasn't the guy that Paula hit. She says the girl isn't going to jail because they only told the police the time and the place, but said they couldn't identify the car or the driver (and boy, was Bruno mad about that! He told Eric his friends must not have done it right. Eric said Alex probably used his influence and money to get Paula off the hook), Gabriel got his operation, so what is the point in telling the truth now?

Also, was I imagining it or did Meche give Eric the money Bruno gave them for lying so Eric could give the money back to Bruno? I could swear I remember hearing her say it was all there, minus just a bit that was already spent, and to tell Bruno she promises she will pay back every last peso. I guess now that Alex has put everything on his titanium credit card, Meche doesn't want to keep money that wasn't earned and figures this is a way to make up for not telling Alex the truth. Oh, yeah, Eric giving that money back to Bruno is one Bruno scene I definitely would like to see: Bruno would blow a gasket.

Or is that money thing just wishful thinking on my part?

Totally agree that Bruno and Katia are a match made in heaven--or is it Hell? LOL, I didn't expect Ferdumbo to have such of an out of control sister, since he seems to br Mr. Decent who always likes to judge other girls...not to take any names...cough cough MJ as well as Raquel. Thought his sister in his lap was ackward in deed.

Alex's face when he figured MJ was pregnant...blew me away, but he asked way too soon about the keys afterwards...Don't blame him for asking, but time was a bit odd...I didn't think he was indifferent when he saw MJ. There was some genuine concern, and though he wasn't kissing her, I think she knows him well enough to understand that he came because he cares.

What did MJ say to Paula after Alex left...didn't catch all of it, but I think it was something along the lines of how can Alex accuse me of being a liar bur still act the way he does(?). Please fill me in if you guys got it.

Almost forgot to thank you, Serendipity! Nice job. Like to not have to watch irratating scenes then not read about them in too much depth. LOL that's a reference to everything without Alex and MJ.
 

anon, I'm with you. What reaction was Victoria trying to get from Alex by telling him Bruno wanted the presidency? Lady, sit yourself down, and think before you speak. Actually, that won't do any good because you don't ever think logically anyways. I like all the different titles you gave her. :-)
 

I'm jumping around too much with my reading...Incog, I missed the thing with Meche too, but that's because I FFW lol. Wish I could've answered your question, but looks like we'll have to wait for someone who is more tolerant than me to start commenting.
 

Yes, Incog, Meche gave the money back. You have it exactly right. But obviously Erik did not pass it on to Bruno, otherwise he would know that they did not go through with the plan. This will surely come back to bite Meche, Gabe and/or Erik.

When Paula comes back after Alex leaves MJ's room, MJ thanks her for not telling him she's pregnant. She says their conversation was friendly, but indifferent, and how can Paula expect her to get back with someone who has so many doubts in her.

And she was proven right, because when Fernando asks him if the baby is his, he first expresses doubt, Fernando asks why, and he says noting,just being stupid. Yep.

So Katia's only been in town for what, a minute, and she's discussing MJ's family and Alex's marriage as if there is NOTHING else in the world to talk about? For gawd's sake, cow, get a life. Better yet, get yourself an edumacation, Miss "I Was Expelled."

I absolutely cannot wait to see Raquel's face when she finds out she and her husband have the same lover. Uli being on the down-low is way nasty. (Of course, I'll be pretty pissed off if the revelation ends up turning the estupida on. LOL) Boy, Useless looked bored as crap as Raquel flapped her pie hole.

Say what you want about Paula, but at least she constantly comes through with the truth right when I need her too, unlike some people who suffer from Joan of Arc Syndrome (constant, unrelenting martyrdom).

Scriptwriters, you blew it. Alex finding out MJ is embarazada was a MAJOR moment, and you let it pass right on by for the sake of getting to a question about that hotel key. I hereby sentence you to fifty lashes for that little piece of craptastic.

Well, hold on... maybe I can commute your sentence, seeing as you wisely let Alex NOT reveal what he knew to MJ and decide to watch over her and protect her family from afar instead, which makes me very happy. He does not need to be rushing headlong back into that. They both need to get their freaking heads back on straight first.

Fernando is full of $%@!, in my opinion. For weeks, he completely threw MJ under the bus and wouldn't be satisfied until Alex dumped her butt. She is guilty, guilty, guilty, Al, she's playing you, blah, blah, blah. How do you know Bruno did anything wrong, blah de blah blah? It's totally believable she's in cahoots with your brother, man.

He helped Alex and MJ to ruin. But oh, now he's shocked that Alex would question the baby's paternity and let her go. Puh-leeze.

Great recap Dipity. I don't know why Victoria would even want Bruno to be the president. He's such a scumbag. He'd have the company in ruins in a week.

I'm not liking Katia at the moment. I think her character could go either way. Since Bruno likes her, I think she will turn to the dark side though.

Katia looks like a hoochie mama in training to me! Or maybe it should be heifer-in-training (HIT). I told my grandpa one time that so and so was a heifer. He explained to me that a heifer was a young cow that had not had babies. I thought that was funny. He raised cattle so I guess he would know!

Doris, Cow works for me. Vicky is in deed a cow. She has a few uncow-like moments but mostly she's a cow. Instead of Heifer-in-training (which is kind of long) maybe we should call Katia a heiferette. Someone who is on her way to being a full-fledged heifer but not quite there yet.

I think "cow" and "vaca" can be interchangeable since it means the same thing. When I was learning Spanish in grade school we had this one teacher that was teaching us our alphabet. When we got to the letter "v" she said "v vaca." Of course that is what we thought the correct way to pronounce the letter. So we would recite s, t, u, v-vaca, double v... So the next year we had a different teacher and she was having us recite the alphabet. When we got to v-vaca (and of course pronounced it that way) she almost spit a gut laughing. She told us we were saying v-cow. Hey, we didn't know. We were only in 4th grade!

I think I'm addicted to this show last night I had a dream that scenes of Sortilegio was passing by and even then I FF past Ferdud and Mommy Dearest. The last time this happened I was in college and studing for a comparative anatomy exam and was seeing bones floating in my dreams.

Could Alex's pants be any tighter I see why MJ kept turning from him it was the only way to get thru that scene without constantly refocusing her eyes up. Im not complaining i enjoyed the view.

My rantito: First Vicky helped Alex RETAIN the presidency when his competency was in doubt due to his supposed head injury. She KNEW then that Bruno was wrong to try to take over a job for which he wasn’t qualified and a job ANtonio did not want him to have. Now she’s changing her mind and is willing to let that scurrilous scuzz-ball hito make another try??? What caused that change of heart? Could it be her confession about the kids all having the same dad? So with Bruno now the “official first born son,” Antonio’s wishes (and good judgment) don’t count and the Bruno-creep has rights he didn’t have before?? Vicky, Vicky, Vicky, you’re all whacked out and my last shred of care about you is gone. Heifer, cow, sow, idiota!

Have a feeling Katia is not going to be any cute, supportive Ceci character in this TN. She's quickly on her way to being a Mexitrash apprentice.

Connie - Too funny about the v-vaca story. Just this past Monday at Adult Ed. ESL conversation, one of the Mexican women was having trouble saying the "ch" part of the letter 'H' in a verbal spelling exercise. I had her saying "e-chihuahua" to get the 'h' sound and everyone (mostly latino class) was cracking up.

I like the fact that there's a character who is almost certain to reveal any secret she's told - Paula. Last week she revealed something, too. Every novela needs one of these characters.

I like Victoria. I know almost everyone here hates her, but not me. Others who like her: Alex, Felipa, Fernando. She's made mistakes, but I think she's trying to balance a lot of difficult things.

Anon 01:59, calm down, lighten up. Just as in real life, when people go overboard with strong negative opinions, humorless comments or too much snark about someone, the tendency is for folks to jump on the side of the underdog.

Even though you have some good observations, as I read your comments, I think that Viki isn't as bad as you describe her. Calling her a bitch and saying that she deserves to die, is a bit much.

But with the way you express youself, I can understand why you perfer to remain nameless.

I'm not crazy about either Viki or Nando for some of the same reasons you site. But after reading your comments, I'm compelled to defend them from your "character assasination".
 

In Ireland, where my folks hail from, to call a woman a cow is really a very nasty insult.
I can only concur with the earlier rants about Vicki. Right now, if you look up narcissist in the dictionary (or my personal DSM) you will see Vicki's face in place of a word description. For me, she is now Vaca-i, narcissism walking on all four legs.
And, sadly for them, narcissists are SOOOO boring.

The other night. Iwas surprised to see some English on the walls ''? was here.'' Now there are more similarities to Alborada. Hippolita runs away from Luis and takes their son to ive in a ''pigsty'' because 1]Luis is still married 2]she hates his evil mother [Daniela Romo...our Vicky] 3] her husbabd has come to town. And like Al, Luis lets her go off on her own, but he sends his loyal bodyguard Marcos [Marcelo Cordoba...our very own Roberto o o ] to watch over her from afar to keep her safe. I'm not sure if Hip was pregnant at this point, but when she finds out that she is having another baby by Luis, she doesn't tell him. I guess if a formiula works, the writers just keep using it over and over. I'm not sure how Katia will gum up the works even more than they are, but I'm sure that she will. I see Burno and Katia together and immediately think ''Spencer and Heidi..Spidey...bleccchhh. Well, anyhoo, I'm glad poor Gabriela got his legs fixed. Where is that plotline going to go ? More and more, I feel that Eric is turning toward the good. I hope it doesn't kill him. I think that Robert o o is going to turn on the Kardashians, Burno, and Useless eventually. He already hates Raq. Wow..Is that chick not the epitome of high maintainance ?

I'd like to gently (please, no flaming) agree with Joanne and Elna June. The latest "hate Vicky" flavor of many of the comments has seemed excessive to me and, frankly, really repetitive to read.

I thought it was really cute to have Pau write Paula was NOT here (Paula NO estuvo aqui) on the walls of the pension. She's expressing her loathing of the cheap room and turning around the usual graffito of So and So was here.

Yes, Katia is a wannabe Mexitrash. All she wants is to suck up to the rich family and is shocked, shocked that her brother expects her to get a job. My estimation of Fernando rose when he told her he wouldn't permit her to sit around the house doing nothing if she wasn't in school.

At first I was disgusted with Paula for telling Alex about the pregnancy when her sister had sworn her to secrecy. But when Alex wisely didn't insist on her returning to the badly decorated manse and sent Chucho to keep him advised, I decided it was a good plot turn.
 

Novelera, I like how you said "gently". LOL, I wasn't smart enough to say that in my post so I had to add another post about how I didn't mean anything offensive.

Well, I'm definetely one of the Victoria-bashers, but I will try to be more tolerant of her. :-)
 

In defense of Ferno-no, I think the lightbulb got turned on when he was asked to investigate MJ/the key. He knows something is not right about the key situation, which is why he is now urging Alex to keep digging away for the truth.

He also knows without concrete proof that Bruno=bad that Victoria is not going to listen to him and may even turn away from him.

Ferno-no has also had time to observe MJ/Alex interactions with each other as well as observe Bruno's increasingly angry interactions with everyone in the house.

I think Ferno-no will be the one to bring Alex around to the fact that MJ is innocent.

One thing I've learned about raising kids is that there is no "How to Raise Kids" text book that's for sure. It's kind of a trial and error thing. I look back now and go "what was I thinking?" You say maybe that wasn't the best choice but you get past it and move on. My 1st ex and I didnt' agree at all. When my daughter cut her hair off and died it brown and my ex said she was grounded until her hair went back to its natural color (blonde) I just laughed because that was just stupid. She was just rebelling because he was so strict that was all. Of course people like Bruno are so self-centered and can't accept responsibility for their actions. They have to blame it on everyone else. Yeah, Vicki made some stupid choices in her life but how she handles things now in the present is all that matters. She needs to get her head out of her butt and stop Bruno in his tracks. But we know she probably won't.
 

I think all of the negative comments about Vickyvaca is because we probably all know someone exactly like her and have seen the harm caused by them. The writers are doing a great job since we are all having such strong reactions to the character.

As far as the civility on the board there is a difference between snark and making playful digs at a fictional character. It's completely another when it's directed at the actor or actress. Example being Monday's bashfest on JB from her physical appearance to her acting. I don't mind snark at all but IMHO that hatefilled diatribe per paragraph was way over the top. Getting back on topic, I wasn't surprised that Alex would have doubts about if the baby MJ is carrying is really his thanks to all the meddlers and MJ not being completely truthful with him. How long will it take before Fernando spills the beans to his beloved Vicky about MJ's condition. We'll see how things go tonight. One last thing, I'm grateful to blogmom Melinama for this board and having a place to talk and snark about our favorite shows.
 

I think I missed something and just haven't had time to go back and reread comments but did Alex accept that the baby was his? I thought he did but wanted to get it straight in my mind.
 

Connie, I think he accepted the baby as his and certainly didn't hint otherwise to Paula. I suppose he was just thinking out loud when he talked to Fernando. I don't remember if Fernando asked him if he was sure the baby was his or not. It sounds like something he'd come up with. With all the tricks played on MJ, he'd have to be amazingly loyal to her not to wonder if there was another guy in the picture.
 

Thanks Novelera. That is what I thought. Alex gets so jealous of Bruno and Faux Mario that I was afraid he would say it was one of theirs. (Which, according to TN rules, is what usually happens.)
 

Yeah, Novelera, that's how I remember it too. Pretty sure Fernando asked Alex if he had any doubts, and of course after all that went on, he says he supposes it's his though he has some doubts. I think at this point, he's pretty sure its his. I can see his attitude changing in favor of MJ.

Yes, the Caray motto is indeed we love to mock and snark to within an inch of our lives here, but don't mistake it for real hate. We're just blowing off steam, as Jardinera put it once. (Although in JB's case, I have to admit the personal comments made about her here have been surprisingly, hatefully mean. I'm not a fan of hers, but the utter contempt for her was really shocking and frankly I didn't know what to say.)

Alex has doubts MJ's baby is his (as he should, since she refuses to ever tell him the truth in a timely fashion), but he desperately wants it to be his. Desperately. And he will consider it his until proven otherwise.

Good question Ebony. In FELS we knew by the moon. In Manana we knew by wardrobe changes. I haven't really noticed anything specific about the passing of time in this one. Anyone else notice?

Seems to me it's been about three months or a little more (their time is moving faster than ours). We have to allow days for Alex to have been stuck out in the boondocks with Chucho, languishing after Bruno's monster truck attack, his stint in the hospital, and time for MJ's pregnancy to start making her sick. But honestly, I'm not sure at all because I've never seen a clear indicator of days passing like with other novelas. *sigh*

What does everyone else think?

I think even though Alex knows Mj is pregnant.He wants to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that MJ is innocent and find out about the Mario Aguirre affair.

This time apart from her will also give Alex time he needs to get his house in order. If he can prove Bruno is behind the Mario Aguirre plot, and Paula's accident then he can really tell Victoria enough Bruno has to get out of his house for good.

Alex knows being pregnant and dealing with her family is too much for MJ right now. If he brought her back into that poisonous atmosphere it wouldn't be good for her.

Ferdumbo you're like long over due. Everything Stephe said about you ditto. How long into tonight's episode will it be before he tells Vicki?

Why did Chucho just happen to go to the hospital? Was Paula's accident on the same road that Alex was on when he almost got killed? Alex was on a road going out of town. Paula was on a road coming home from school. Chucho was walking near the manse when he saw Paula. I thought he was some distance away when he found Alex.

Mecbe begged Chucho not to tell the truth to Alex & we all know it will be awhile before he comes clean.

How is the visitor book going to prove anything? Bruno lives there & Chucho, Pedro, Raquel, Roberto
come & go all the time. The book makes no sense to me. Seems like it would be for delivery people only.

Pedro and Erick, actors are playing their parts so well.

Daniela romo is a fine actress i don't know if she will get award for this portrayal but she has most definitely evoke strong emotions and all us.

Whether you like her character or hate her. The actress herself looks of confusion and self doubt to downright refusal to accept the reality that her favorite child can be so devious and evil.

Well maybe she does remind us of people we know in real life or not.

When a certain person keeps coming on here to attack people because we are here discussing novelas and the characters on them not each other.

Yes i will take issue with that. This same person also wanted Incog to stop posting and was saying she was upstaging the recapper.

Plenty of times we all have read the recapper ask for help or say please feel free to fill in what i missed.

Some people just have issues, my point is do not read my comments anymore toward that certain individual that's all.

As for Chavala take on the episode on Monday, well whether it's JB or the role or her acting everyone is entitled to say what they feel i guess within reason.

We all have been critical of actors from time to time though haven't we?

I come here to read my recaps and exchanges ideas and opinions and have a few good laughs while i'm at it.

Weren't we all having a nice debate how some thought Alex was a snob while others didn't.

It doesn't have to resort to people attacking each other because their opinion maybe stronger than yours about a character.

Yes, but this is a novela, where you can have full moons every night and secretly pregnant heroines start having morning sickness and/or fainting within minutes of conceiving, then conveniently stop having symptoms the moment The Secret Is Out. Although it was more than a month after MJ married Bruno posing as Alex before the real Alex and MJ were intimate, I don't think it was too much more than that, because I remember Vic's idiot boy toy reminding Alex if he was going to have the marriage annulled for failure to consummate or whatever the excuse was, he only had a few more days to do it (It had to be done within a month of being married). I grant you MJ's been a little preoccupied, but I think even she would have noticed if it had been way longer than a month (remember her surprise when Alex told her the month had come and gone?).

My guess is that it's probably three months at most since "Alex" and MJ got married.

I guess Stephe we expected a different reaction from MJ when Alex threw her and her family out.
Maybe JB as some one mention later that day was going for the restrained look. Stiff upper lip and all but i guess her performance did not connect with a lot of us.

I went back and watched it again and the person who said that about what she was trying to convey. Maybe that's also how Carla wanted her to act in that scene.

I agree we should give JB a break though.

I wonder why this show gets so many more comments that En Nombre Del Amor? I am also watching that, but it is so grim, maybe that's why. This one is lighter.

With regard to V, it's surprising that she seemed open to MJ and kind in the beginning, and then she so easily went into this denial thing. A little out of how her character originally seemed. I can understand that she's kind of at a loss about her children and it may be that she didn't give them any limits, but it's also probably just who they are. Because why is Alex nice, then?

Whoever said the other day the MJ sees herself in a parent role with Pedro and Paula, that helped make more sense of her behavior to me, thanks.

Ferno is seeming better to me now, a little more expressive, and probably also his setting limits with little sis.

Roberto isn't going to mess up his gravy train by rocking the boat so that eliminates him right off the bat.

So that leaves Bruno & Erick as prime suspects.

Ivy i watched ENDA too also, CCEA had finished i was going to skip it because a lot of people on youtube said it was dark and depressing.

They were right but the writing is so good that i'm hooked on it until the end. Someone became so annoyed with the character Paloma they wanted her to be killed off.

Replaced her with her good friend Lilliana. See it's not just the charaters in Sortilegio that invokes strong reactions from people.

It would be also better if it had some comedic relief thrown in for good measure.

This is why i'm critical of Carla for having so many villains in this novela. That out number the good guys, and some of the suppose good guys are either idiots and to slow to realize what is going on.
 

Also throw in Alex questioning Felipa about where she and Chucho with Pedro went to. Did they leave her for a long period of time.


Alex does have it narrowed down to Bruno, Erick and i heard him say Raquel. She went to rabies shot loving from Useless. I believe he's excluding Roberto because like you said Roberto is not stupid enough to mess up his gravy train.
 

Anon - yeah ENDA is really good, the characters have more depth than on Sorti, I'm hooked on it, too. The comic relief so far was Emo in the nun outfit!

I guess there are a lot of villains on Sorti but they're not as evil somehow, just superficial and selfish. I enjoy the show alot, though, it is a relief after ENDA every night!

I've never been into soaps in ingles, I can see that it's easy to get caught up in the characters - it's compelling - but maybe that's good, in a way, then real life doesn't need to be like that!

I'm OK with the way Alex is treating the pregnancy, and can accept his doubt with all the crazy stuff in the air, but sad that he talked about this to Nando, bad move.

Ivy i si agree with you, yes after ENDA we need the relief of Sortilegio. At least we get some comic relief with Chucho, Cuco,and Felipa. Ezeke and Paula and lets not forget the set design and wardrobes of certain characters.

Ms Estrada has given us a lot of flawed and some down right ornery characters. I've gotta love Felipa,Chucho, Alex and, yes, even Paula. I know she is not popular here on the blog but I love her spunk. You have the feeling that whining or not whining that girl is a survivor.

Team Mexitrash is hard to take because of their malice. I don't believe Maura is really in love with Alex and Lissette's cooperation in the Mario Aguirre scheme is just despicable.

And MJ, well if she grows a backbone I will root for her all the way. She and Alex have some real fine chemistry.
