Episode 129

Tonight;s show begins where last night ended back to the hospital.

The doctor tells Emiliano,Camila,Orlando and Dr.B with Gabriel in the backgrond that there is a possibility that the baby could die.

Rafael comes up near the end when the doctor is walking away and Emiliano tells him this.Camila is distraught with worry.

While RoMEna is crying and scared she ask Paloma if she remember how they we'e like sisters. Paloma says i yes i remember, they then talk about Emiliano and Carloca.

RoMEna gasps in pain and she tells Paloma how very scared she is at this moment.

Camila is in the waiting area asking Dr.B about how she thought the baby was eight months. She ask if perhaps there could be a mistake with the calculations and Dr. B tells no everything is correct.The baby is around seven months.

How many months the baby is in her womb,Camila makes a comment to herself about this. Dr. B ask pardon Camila says its nothing.

She then says to him that if what he is saying to her is true, then Emiliano is not the father of her child.Dr.B is surprised by this revelation and ask you mean there's somebody else who could be the father?

Camila say look Dr. B i think the father is German because she had something going on with him at the time.

Camila then ask Dr. B to please don't say anything to anyone else for now. Dr. B assures her that he won't.

Dr.B then has a flashback of when German was asking him how can he determine if a baby was his or not conversation.Dr.B has a aha moment.

He thinks to himself now i understand now i have evidence from the assertiveness of Emiliano and what Camila just said.

Paloma comes out she looks at Gabriel but Orlando ask her what is happening, she tells him RoMEna is with the doctor and Emiliano.

Rafael ask how RoMEna is feeling, Paloma tells him how very nervous and pain she's in.She then leaves the waiting grandfathers to themselves, she is followed by Gabriel.

Orlando comments about how suprise he is about Rafael's other woman, he then tells Rafael that he is happy for him.

Since he and Camila will be marrying soon.He then says it's important for Camila to believe that she has no part in your life.

Rafael angrily responds don't provoke him, he tells him you're part of the reason of why we broke up.They continue to exchange words and eventually separate.

RoMEna is in the room with Emilano, a doctor, and a nurse.He's asking her to push and Emiliano ask the doctor what is wrong.The nurse leaves then the doctors gets up and leaves too.

RoMEna slumps back in pain and frustration,with Emiliano asking her to keep calm.

Paloma and Gabriel are waiting anxiously and Orlando and Rafael are sitting by each other thinking and pondering.
 

Camila walks by this group pacing when Emiliano comes quickly down the hall, he tells them that RoMEna is having complications giving a natural birth.

The Purple Grinch is laying comfortably in bed wondering aloud when Paloma will arrive home.

She thinks RoMEna and how it's her fault she can't keep Emiliano away from Paloma. Then she talks to herself about Dr.B and his interference.

She then says to herself i don't understand you Paloma how can all these foolish men and why are all these guys interested in you.

She then brings up jealousy Macarena, and now you always have these damn men interested in you.

Back to the hospital waiting area Rafael and Emiliano sit on a chair together. Camila is being comforted by Orlando and Gabriel is standing by Paloma her arm through his.

The doctor comes out with Dr.B the Dr. then explains to Emiliano who asked what's happening that there are complications.He then says you have to make a decision.

Dr. B then says if you don't make a decision you can lose both.The other Dr. says who do you choose your wife or your baby.

Emiliano looks around at everyone in shock, Camila cannot believe what she just heard because her mouth is wide open.

The whole group is in shock from what both doctors told them. Emiliano then says how can you ask me to make that kind of choice.

Can't you save both of them the Doctor says he's sorry but if things continue the way they are it's necessary he'll have to make the choice.

Camila then pipes up and says her daughter she says please save my daughter please. Emiliano ask what about my baby.

Camila says pleads with Emiliano to please accept this together or separate from RoMEna he can have another child.

Rafael then tells Emiliano to understand Camila' position and how she feels and Orlando urges Emiliano to also understand Camila is a mother.

Emiliano is crying and shaken by this decision he looks towards Paloma who nods her head in agreement with Camila, Rafael and Orlando.

Emiliano sucks it up and tells the doctor very well go ahead and save RoMEna. He then says i am pleading with you doctor. No i implore you if there is anyway possible you can save the baby please.

Camila then thanks Emiliano who then leaves, while the rest stand around in distress.

Liliana is cleaning up Eric from his fight with German,Eric angrily confronts her about German.Liliana tries to reassure him.

Eric tells her he knows she doesn't feel for him like does for her.Liliana ask him not to be jealous he says i'm not jealous.

I see how it is i don't think you can ever be happy with me and there's nothing for me to do.

He gets up and leaves a crying Liliana, meanwhile Luz tosses and turns in bed.She can't sleep and keeps thinking and tossing back in forth in bed.
 

Emiliano is at the hospital crying and banging his head against the wall, Rafael comes up to quickly and ask if he's alright.

Rafael have you not been paying attention at all to what's happening?
Wow clueless, Emiliano tells him no.

He then tells Rafael that the baby is premature and then tells how the baby isn't his.He tells him i did the calculation.

Rafael shakes his head in agreement and ask what are you thinking, Emiliano say he will wait for her to recover.

Then he will confront her with the proof that the baby isn't his.Emiliano say the truth is the most important thing is the baby isn't his blood.

It doesn't have his blood you don't know how much i wanted it. Rafael tells Emiliano to be calm.Rafael console a sobbing Emiliano.

Camila is in the Chapel praying with Paloma behind her, Gabriel and Orlando in the background.

She pleads in her prayers to save RoMEna, Paloma adds her prayers with Camila to also save the baby for Emiliano.

Emiliano and the gang are each brooding in their own thoughts. Paloma walks in with Gabriel passing around cups of coffee to keep everyone awake.

Camila wonders what is going on and Orlando tells her that they will tell us when they news to tell us.

The doctor then comes out and Camila ask how RoMEna is he tells her very good, Emiliano ask and the baby what about the baby.

The doctor tells them the baby is very small he doesn't know if it will survive and they may need a specialist for the baby.

The doctor ask Camila if she wants to go with him to see RoMEna,Camila comes into RoMena's room and ask how she is feeling.

RoMEna responds was something necessary you guys fill in the blank. Camila tells her the only one who is important is you.

It could RoMEna response was that choice necessary.I couldn't hear over the drowning out background music.

Camila says i want you to be well and out of danger,RoMEna tells her it's her fault. Camila says don't blame yourself the baby is very small.

RoMEna tells how everything made her very scared she thought she going to die, Camila tells not to worry she understands.She needs to hurry and get well for the baby.

RoMEna then ask how is the baby, Camila tells her how very small the baby is. RoMEna ask have you seen the baby.

Camila say no she hasn't visited the baby yet,RoMEna says boys look like their mother and girls like their father.Camila corrects her and say no, boys are always identical looking like their fathers.

RoMEna then makes a comment how the baby will look like her Camila looks at her suspiciously while RoMEna looks away guiltily.

Paloma is walking along with Gabriel telling him how happy she is that both RoMEna and the baby are alive.

Gabriel tells her this is the first she really seems happy and he loves that she is acting free and not feeling sad.
 

Gabriel tells her how she is not acting like a victim over the hateful and bad events of her life.

That her smile seems more happy then sad, Paloma comes up with the excuse of the party and graduation.Then she brings up how tired she is from being with RoMEna because of the baby.

She say that is why her mood is different, Gabriel says no that isn't the reason why. He then tells her how he likes how she is this way.

Gabriel then thanks her for letting him be with her for a very important moment in her life. He leans over and kisses her on the cheek.

Paloma is surprised by this action, Gabriel then ask if she is cold. Paloma says yes he then gallantly takes off his suit jacket and puts it around her shoulders.

They both look into each others eyes when he does this.

Luz is wide awake in bed and looks gloomy, the phone rings and its Rafael, he tells her about his grandson and Luz is happy for him about this news.

Meanwhile Orlando is standing not to far away from Rafael and can overhear his part of the conversation.He tells her the condition of the baby.

Luz says she wishes she was with him, he ask her if she wants to come to the hospital. She says yes Rafael says i'll wait for you.

Paloma and Gabriel arrive at misery manor, she thanks him for everything he done for her last night.She takes off his jacket but Gabriel insist she keep it on if she's cold.

Paloma say i'm fine now besides i am home, forgive for keeping you up all night. Gabriel says there's nothing to forgive.

Paloma says she will use this experience and be more creative with her work and fantasies.They kiss each other's cheek goodbye.

Gabriel stands there with a lovestruck expression on his face.Rufi greets Paloma as she walks inside, she then ask after RoMEna and the baby.

Paloma tells her the baby is very delicate and may not survive. Rufi is sad to hear this, she ask her if she wants anything.

Paloma tells her she has to get out of her dress and then says her aunt must have been going crazy.Rufi rolls her eyes in agreement and says you know how she is.

Paloma says yes,Rufi tells her how precious she looks in her dress.

Rafael and Orlando flank Emiliano sides they look at the new born baby talking about how precious and beautiful he looks.

All three look on engrossed with love for the newborn baby.

Carloca is asking Paloma who told her she could go to the hospital instead of coming home.First it was Emiliano now your instructor this is not good Paloma.

Paloma tells her there were adults there from Camila, Orlando and Rafael.Ahhh says Carloca do you think it looks good that your with so many men.
 

Paloma says aunt tells her the only reason she was there was for RoMEna and her baby. Carloca doesn't want to hear this.

Carloca thinks it best that she has nothing to do with the baby, Paloma ask why. Why Carloca says you know the and the baby she stresses is RoMEna's and Emiliano's.

Carloca says the baby should be the concern of it's parents, Paloma says i want to be near RoMEna because she is like a sister to me.

Carloca tells her nastily that she doing it because she wants to be near but not for the baby's sake. She can't get over Emiliano and it is hateful the way she is acting he is a part of her soul.

Paloma ask her and what about you, Me says Carloca yes says Paloma what about you with me.

She brings up Macarena and her, Carloca says please why says Paloma isn't it the samething.Carloca tells her she is being foolish that she is her niece and you are my blood.

Paloma tells her what does being her niece and having her blood mean to you and all the times you have been hateful.Carloca cannot look her straight in the eye after this comment.

Diana is walking along the street when Luz comes out of a door closing it.Diana mouth is wide open in shock, she then calls to Luz.

Diana ask Luz what is doing coming out of the apartment of Rafael, Luz tells her she lives there.Diana can't believe this and calls her a nasty name.

Luz laughs at her, she tells her how happy she is and she has to go meet up Rafael and see his new grandson.Diana says grandson yes Luz and wishes her happiness over the news.

Luz walks away leaving Diana at first muttering to herself and she starts calling Luz names as continues walking down the street.

Carloca ask Paloma to leave and go to sleep, that she is being foolish.Paloma says ok i'll go to sleep but all the time it's the truth.

Carloca says it best that you leave,Paloma tells her how she killed her love and didn't want her to have a destiny with Emiliano.

Paloma gets up and leaves a shocked and doesn't know what to think Carloca.

Samuel is in his room checking his messages when he hears the one from Camila about RoMEna having the baby.Samuel wonders why it was so soon and worries about the money RoMEna gave him.

Emiliano is being greeted and congratulated from German,Emiliano tells him how little the baby is.

Emiliano ask him what happen to his face German cockily say the other guy is worse it was Liliana boyfriend Eric.He says Eric thinks i still mess with Liliana.

German says he is just jealous of me because i used to go with Liliana. Emiliano say what about you and Liliana now German says you know me it the truth.

German then ask how is RoMEna, Emiliano say she is in her room with her mother, German ask again if everything is all right.

Emiliano tells about how very small the baby is and that it is premature.Orlando comes up and tells Emiliano to go with to see RoMEna.

Emiliano tells German he has to leave, German tells him he will be in the cafeteria if he wants to call him on his cell.

German thinks to himself about how the baby is premature but he says no it can't be.He says the analysis said the baby was Emiliano's that he is the baby's father.
 

Rufi and Paloma are in the kitchen Paloma is telling her how she needs a lot of sleep while eating.

She ask her to wake up if she hears anything about the baby and RoMEna. Paloma tells Rufi she has a confession to make Rufi tells to go ahead.

Paloma says it a sensation not a lie but she doesn't know how to say it, Rufi then ask if it has anything to do with Gabriel.

Paloma tells her she doesn't want to be involved with anyone else and that love isn't for her.Rufi ask her again it's Gabriel right.

Paloma says she is interested in him because her has a good personality. I don't want nothing to do with love anymore.

I don't want anymore people in my life and that she will only think of him as her instructor.

Meanwhile Gabriel is painting away happily humming along to his theme song.Mateo comes in and interrupts him he ask about the restoration of the virgen painting that Gabriel is working on.

He tells him how he knows that PJC started this project but he would like to finish it for his sake.

Cris walking along and talking to his cellmate and his name is Chucho.

Now we have two novelas ENDA and Sorti and both have a Chucho,Emiliano and Meche in it.

He's telling Chucho how he will not be intimidated by anyone, when a guard comes up to them and tells Cris he has a visitor.

Cris ask the guard who it is the guard says i don't know, Cris says if it's Carloca i don't want to see her.He leaves with the guard.

RoMEna is with Emiliano he is talking to Camila and Orlando.Camila says i been in these clothes all night i have to go change.

Orlando hugs him and is happy with the birth of his grandson, they leave.RoMEna then tells Emiliano that she wants to call the baby Samuel after father.

Emiliano objects to this and says i don't like that name, she then says we can call him Samuel Emiliano.

Emiliano says no i'm not sure i want him to be named after me, she says your name is beautiful but whatever you want.

She talks about the baby and he tells her how perfect it is, she then tells him how she has everything she wants in her life.

She goes on about her family and her two men him and their son. Emiliano listens to this clenching his jaw in anger.

German is still sitting in the cafeteria rubbing his sore jaw and thinking about what Emiliano told him about the baby.
 

We hear Emiliano's voice in the background saying how the baby is premature.German shakes his head no it was proven that the baby wasn't his.

Dr.B is getting coffee and he sees German he comes over and tells him that he has to talk to him.German invites him to sit down. Dr.B declines and says privately when do want to do it tomorrow or today.

German says ok whenever you like Dr.B says fine and leaves.German looks after him and wonder what that was all about.

Luz comes and greets Rafael warmly she tells him how very handsome and young he looks.He tells her how the baby is,he then ask her how she liked being in the apartment by herself.

Luz says the truth is she didn't like it very much, Rafael ask why what happened.

Luz tells him she missed being with him and she wants to be with him. Rafael is happy to hear this she then tells him how she ran into Diana and how bad it was.

He tells her how he tried calling her but she wouldn't pick up her phone she was never here at the hospital.

They hug each other and Rafael tells her how much she means to him in his life.

Cris enters the visiting room the lady in the wheelchair is there waiting for him with her male servant.

The male servant leaves them alone, Cris says they told me you were looking for me.He says excuse me but i don't know you.

Cris says maybe you made a mistake the woman shakes her head and responds no.Cris says then who are you, she takes out half of the baby picture that was left in his hospital room and shows it to him.

Cris looks at it and ask her why does she have this picture, he tells how one was put in his room when he was in the hospitals.

She nods her head and yes i had it put there for you.She said you were sleeping, Cris wants to know how she came to have this picture of his father.

She tells how the baby is very beautiful,Cris ask her if she knows the child she says yes.

Cris says you know my father, she says yes of course i know who he is.Cris then ask her to forgive him but what is your name.

She tells him Madeline Martell, by the look on Cris face he knows now he is talking too.Cris ask his mother and his mother says yes Cristobal i am your mother.


Previews for Monday show RoMEna talking about how people will be jealous of her having a baby and husband.German now thinks the baby could be his, and RoMena talking brattily to someone.

Anon- Once again you have done a fantastic, and detailed recap. I know you are resistant to the idea, but I do hope you become a regular recapper. At this point we all know your style when you comment anyway, so you might as well create an identity. :)

I really liked this episode. Lots of drama, life and death choices with happy endings (both Romina and the baby saved), the good guys started to open their eyes about the truth (Emiliano about the baby, Paloma about Carlota), the start of a romance (Pal and Gabriel), AND a big revelation (PJC's mom).

I am looking forward to learning more about Cris's mom and how the separation came about. Cris did not look pleased to find out who she is. Her name sounds French, so it seems that not only does she live in Paris, but she may also be French. And she had a photocopy of the half of the picture she delivered to Cris. The picture is a picture of Cris as a baby (the only baby picture of him) which his father gave him. Not a picture of his father. I wonder what caused the separation why each parent ended up with half of a photo of their baby (Cris), but Cris ended up being raised by his father and never seeing or hearing from his mom? Did she abandon them? Why? Hmmm... Looks like Madeline's in a truth telling mood, so hopefully we'll find out soon.

I really loved Pal making the connection to her situation with Carlota when Carlota kept trying to convince her that the only thing Pal could feel for the baby of the man she loves is hatred (which is so NOT Pal's style). Now she realizes that Carlota has hatred in her heart for her and that's why she treats her so badly so often, and why. I can't wait till she finds out the rest of the truth about Mac-Carloca-her real father (JuanCris).

Pal should have more sleepless nights because her brain was working at full speed. She also recognized and ackowledged quickly the electricity that passed between her and Gariel. Although she's not ready to act on it.

The scene I thought was hilarious was Diana running into Luz coming out of Rafa's apt. She is so self centered she still doesn't realize that her grandchild was born. Luz assumed she knew so she just said she was going to see Rafa and the baby (not the grandchild). Then she said farewell to Diana addressing her as abuela. Diana did not pick up on the clues and just interpreted this as an insult about her age. Lol! She and Samuel deserve each other! (Please don't let the baby be named after him.)

Thank Heavens the lights are finally starting to go on for everyone about Romina's lies. I can actually feel the weight lifting. Am very eager to see what comes next with Chris' mother. Hope she turns out to be a life-saver.

Anon you are wonderful for doing this full recap. Quite an eventful episode and I was so glad to see all the little light bulbs going off over people's heads. So if Camilla, Emi and German have come to the same conclusion, how soon before we get to see Romena brought down a few hundred pegs and the truth comes out. Being we have a ways to go on this TN, probably won't be anytime soon.

Samuel and Diana - honestly, they are just so "Ick" together. What was so hard to register that the baby was born? Gees woman!

And poor Dr. B - that man is getting privy to more and more secrets. Some of them are going to have to come out or he's going to burst.

So our little girl is getting a spine and La Loca isn't going to be able to push and bully her around anymore. What will she do? Nothing good I'm sure. She has so many people to start eliminating for confronting her with truths, she's going to be one busy woman trying to figure things out.

Fabulous recap, Anon. Thank you so much. I look forward to reading them for as long as you are able to do them for us.

Loved this episode; it was really face paced and yes! to the light bulbs going off everywhere. Romina was saying she thought baby boys always looked like their mothers, and Camila said not necessarily, newborns don't really look like anyone. In the advances, the voiceover was intoning that the baby looks like German, and in that split screen shot, he did. And man, that is one hearty-looking preemie!

I hope Cris isn't too hard on Madelaine. She has such a caring and sweeet face. I like her already.

This novela has a ton of top notch actors and performances in it. It may yet go on my favorites list.
 

I posted before seeing your post, Ann, but we were on the same wavelength about the baby's size. He even had a robust cry, probably because he wanted out of that teeny little incubator. In real life, the father and grandfathers would have been boasting about what a "champ" he was already based on how big he is.
 

For Anon recapper--great work. Keep it up. It's always good to wake up Sat am and find it complete.

When Camila comes to see her after the baby is born, Recapper says..."RoMEna responds was something necessary you guys fill in the blank." It doesn't advance the story at all, but it points out how self-centered RoMEMEMEna is. She doesn't ask about the baby first, she asks about whether a cesearean was necessary. She's worried about the scar. Camila tells her that nowadays it is much different, there is only a small opening made and far down so it won't be noticeable.
 

I would imagine they have the same rules as the US on using babies on TV and film sets, so we're looking at a baby not only in the picture of health but who's probably at least a month or so old.
My first thought is "wow, they got a little one who looks just like Germy" and then marveled how long that little one was. I think they might have at least tried to get a little one who was smaller or more delicate like MJ's on Sorti.

Let's see how realistic they get on how fast Romena bounces back and starts flitting around. She definitely won't be the doting mother type.

Thanks so much, Anonymous, for the superb recap! I too hope you will become a regular recapper.

You noted that both ENDA and Sorti have a Chucho, Emiliano and Meche. They also share at least one actor: Carlos Girón, who plays Gabriel in Sorti and Erik (Liliana's boyfriend) in ENDA. I kept staring at him in ENDA and thought he looked familiar, and I finally made the connection.
 

I stopped posting long ago and have only just managed to catch up with my tapes of this show. I have to agree with jackie and say it is fast becoming one of my all time favs. A couple of the story lines are a tad improbable but then it is Novelaland but the casting is excellent and most of the acting is first rate. I could do without Diana who is always annoying.

If that baby is considered delicate i sure would hate to see what a healthy one looks like. Am so waiting for all the dots to connected and RoMena's lies exposed. And don't get me started to the Purple Beast.
 

What did you think of Pal's gown???? I thought she looked like Little Bo Peep!!! All she needed is a staff?? (if that's the word) HaHa!!!

Thanks, Anon. That was an action-packed episode and you got it all.

The conversation between Paloma and Carlota in her bedroom was totally fascinating. Carlota wants her to stay away from Em, Ro, and the baby. Of course, her real reason is that she fears proximity will keep Em and Pal in love and possibly give Paloma happiness, the last thing she wants.

She slipped up (Freudian slip, perhaps) by saying that Paloma should stay away from the child since she might hate him because he was the reason for her losing Emiliano. Paloma is rapidly becoming much less gullible, and she immediately made the leap. "Is that what happened with you and Macarena, in love with the same man, and that is what you feel for me: hate? Is that why you treat me the way you do sometimes?"

Carloca is stunned by Paloma's insight into the truth. She almost stammers when she says "how could you doubt my love for you?"

And, yes, Anon at 1:28, Romena's big concern in her hospital room was her Caesarian scar, not the health of the baby.

Looks like Liliana's prediction is coming true. The baby doesn't have a soul patch, but he is the spit of German.
 

I want to add further that Liliana looked beautiful, and her gown had a modern and "with it" look when you compared it to Pal's. Umless they wanted her to look cutesy.

Wow, that giant buttbow sure did look even worse in the cold light of day.

Y'all, a healthy, full-term telenovela baby looks like Marichuy's baby Juan Miguelito in CCEA...huge! That was so funny when we all first saw "newborn" JMito and thought "no wonder she nearly died in childbirth."

Romina is so pathetic I almost feel sorry for her, but Carlota really makes me want to scream. She needs to go away for a vacation or something so I can get a bit of relief before the big showdown.
 

LOL Julia! Check out our discussion comparing baby Tony in Sorti with baby Juanito in CCEA over on Sorti's Thursday recap. :) Sorti seems to have somehow found a normal sized, under three month old baby to portray a newborn.

Thanks Anon, I enjoyed your recap. I'm another who used to haunt this site regularly and just now am getting caught up again. With my out-of-practice spanish comprehension, these recaps are invaluable!

Maybe I'm being too much of a Pollyanna, but I think Romina will be one of those classic telenovela redeemed characters and eventually be a good mother, daughter and friend, if she's given the chance.

Carlota, on the other hand, passed the ability for redemption long ago. I'm still haunted by the puppy in the fountain!

Question for anyone who can answer it: What is the song and who is the artist--the song that plays when Luz and Rafa are together? It's beautiful, and it sure doesn't sound like Laura Pausini or Tommy Torres.

I absolutely loved Paloma's confrontation of Carloca. Such cojones!! You go Paloma.

In that scene for the first time, Carloca actually looked like a human instead of an android because most of her makeup was off. We were able to see more of the real Leticia Calderon who is quite pretty.

It's always good to see familiar names posting again and welcoming new friends as well.

Rhonda, I share your hope that Romina will be redeemed. At times you can see cracks in her bratty armour when she appears to have real feelings, such as when she and Paloma were hugging at the party and when she was tearfully asking about her baby in the delivery room. Romina's character is nuanced and the actress playing her brings it across.

And like Dona G., I think Leticia Calderon is very pretty. I must have seen her in Amor Real, but I don't remember her character at all. I'm planning to rewatch it when it comes on Telefutura so I'll be looking out for her this time.

I have a thought about Paloma's dress, but I don't know if I'm right. Maybe someone who knows the Mexican culture (I'm from Eastern European) will straighten me if I'm wrong.

When I was last time in Mexico, we visited a mid-size city with rural area around, and since we were going to a wedding I went to a lot of stores (the dress I took with me turned out too small, probably due to stuffing on Mexican food three days in a row). In the center of the city I would see a lot of dresses similar to what you find at Macy's around the prom time. And then, when you went off the main street I would see a lot little stores full of Disney princes-like dresses; similar to what Paloma was wearing. When I asked someone, what are those dresses for, someone told me, that rather simple folks wear them to the quinceaneras, and other important occasions.

I would assume that Rufi, as sweet as she is, would rather go for the simple folks outfit, and that would explain Romina's comment that Paloma is wearing such a common dress.

But what it shows at the end is not a lack of taste on Paloma's side (even though she proved that may times), but her strength to show that even in a tacky dress she can be center of attention, and make all the heads turn.

I think the song you talk about is Eterno es este amor sang by Lucero. It's a very beautiful song, though I hope their amor will not be forever and Rafa will end up with Camila.

The interesting thing about Letty Calderon in this show is that she is playing completely against type. In every novela of hers I've seen she is usually the saintly, weeping goody goody. She has really taken the bit between her teeth in this one. Another cast member playing against type is Sergio Catalan (the thieving Dario) who usually is the good guy, nice BFF of the protagonist. I must say I like watching actors stretch which is also why I like Artuto Penishe so much.
 

Decie Girl, I had never seen Leticia in any role before, so I don't have a comparison. But I do think actresses like playing the evil ones, as it gives them a chance to show off their skills. It sure seemed like Lucero relished playing the baddie in Mañana es Para Siempre.

Now the one I'd like to see play bad, as she's never done it, is Adela Noriega.

Jackie, I looked up Amor Real on Wikipedia using Telefutura in the search and, if it's accurate info, Amor starts on January 18th at 4 p m and runs for two hours daily and finishes sometime in March of 2010. As I mentioned before, I've never seen this novela which seems to be so many people's favorite and will be looking forward to seeing it if only for the famous "mystery boinker" scenes I've read about.

Thank you so much! I didn't know when it was starting and I was hoping someone here would know. This was my first historical novela and is #1 on my favorites list. I can't wait to see it again. The acting and themes are superb. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I just wish we had a spot to discuss it.
 

Great Recap, The Episodes Seem To Finally Be Getting To The Juicy Stuff, Anyway I Also Saw Somewhere That Leticia Calderon Was Originally Going To Play The Part Of Macarena And Victoria Ruffo Was To Play The Part Of Carlota, Weird To Think About It, But I Do Love This Novela, And I Also Hope That Romena's Lies Catch Up With Her.

The Paloma/Carlota conversation was indeed fascinating as many of you noted. This episode was full of interesting and potentially explosive revelations, especially regarding the baby's true father.
Except for his recent revulsion toward Carlota, I've never seen Cris as glum as he was seeing his mother. Ack.

Nikita, I also saw recently Leticia and Victoria were originally intended to play Mac/Carlota respectively. I heard Victoria could not stay for the length of the project which is why they changed roles. They both seemed perfectly cast in the roles they ended up playing, particularly Leticia who should win an award for her performance.

In Guadalajara, there are whole streets with shop after shop of those huge poofy dresses. It's not at all an unusual thing to wear for a big occasion among a certain part of society. But that huge bow on the heinie was still awful.

Gancho is being moved to 3:00 pm i don't have the details when this will start.

ENDA is being moved to 7:00pm to replace Gancho in their timeslot.

A new novela will be shown at 8:00 pm it maybe that Hasta novela they have been advertising.

This of course is shocking to me and probably to you as well.I wrote a comment about it on the Sorti page.

I have seen this happen twice but that was to two novelas on Telemundo.

While i don't watch Gancho at all i thought it was at least doing well in the ratings area.

Iwas having a discussiion with several people about the upcoming and updated version of Corazon Salvage on the Sorti page.

Some were talking about how poorly it is doing in the ratings in Mexico.I had mentioned if it wasn't doing good in Mexico don't expect it to get a primetime slot when it comes over here.

This shocking development is an example of why it's always about money for these stations and the novelas that generate big or very good ratings will always get the premium spots.
 

Yes, ENDA is moving to 7:00 starting next week and Hasta Que el Dinero Nos Separe is starting in the 8:00 slot. We've been discussing this on the Gancho line and can't understand it. Gancho is truly one of the best shows currently on, and the ratings have been decent if not as high as Sorti and ENDA.

I saw a little bit of el Dinero while I was in Mexico a few weeks ago and...meh. I'll give it a chance; maybe I'll like it better if I see it from the start and get caught up in the characters.

I don't know what this is going to do to our recaps. I know we'll want to have recaps for all the primetime Uni shows, but the Gancho recappers will keep covering that show until it ends, so we'd need more volunteers.

If you want to see Letty Calderon in one of her simpering good girl performance check out Esmerelda with Fernando Colunga (if i remember right). It is a costume epic with her playing a blind girl. In many ways she and Adela Noriega are interchangeable or were until she let it rip as Carloca, the purple queen of mean.

When searching my on-screen guide for the air time of Amor Real (next week) on Telefutura, I came across Esmeralda and Pura Sangre, currently being shown in the morning on TF. I decided to record one episode of each just to see what they were like. I think Pura Sangre was the original of the one that became Mañana es Para Siempre. I wanted to see the characters in Pura Sangre vs the ones in MEPS. For some reason I also recorded Esmeralda. Great to know I'll be able to see Letty as a good girl also.
 

Well, Leticia Calderón doesn't always play the same type of characteres than Adela Noriega. She likes to play heroines with some spunk and strong character, she didn't want to play Esmeralda because she considered it an uninteresting role, but then got a call from the late Emilio Azcárraga Melmo, the BIG BOSS in Televisa at the time (now it's his son Emilio Azcárraga Jean) to come to meet him and he personally asked her to play the role. She has been petty open about her criticism about certain choices the writers made in that novela although she has always been pretty grateful for all the avid viewers it got and the creators for the big success it became.

If you can help Judy and the rest of the viewers, commenters and reccapers of Gancho would be fantastic. I know it is not pulling the biggest numbers but it is constantly entertaining and has kept it's viewers completely charmed with its stories.
