Gancho Tuesday April 20, 2010 Monita Gets A Clue and Oscar Gets His Due
Alternate title: ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO
Lots of action today with little filler. Monita's illusions about her mother are beginning to crumble. Constanza has lost the support of her father and her lover--only her hated half-sister believes she's not a killer (and brings her a sandwich in case she's hungry.) Estrella and Aldo have been tenderly reunited and Jeronimo is paying for his sins by having his oxygen playfully cut off by Ximena and getting electroshocks to make his heart race. (Kids, don't try this at home.) And in keeping with the lighthearted tone of this novela, while Oscar is killed, we don't have a gory closeup of his corpse (thank you, director).
Now, if you're pressed for time, you can stop right here. But if you're finishing a cup of coffee, read on.
The new stuff starts with Beto arriving at the police station to sicken everyone in range with his alcoholic effluvia. Gabriela even fans her eyes as if the fumes are burning them. He's in a sentimental mood alas, and insists on hugging and re-hugging Mauricio and Gabriela, (and groping her hips) in spite of protestations. Finally he persuades a leery Christian to take him to see Constanza....Don't bother showing me the way, Beto adds, this place is like a second home to me. After Beto rounds the corner, Gabriela wonders where Estrella is. Mauricio looks clueless...something he does with great aplomb.
Beto's meeting with Constanza doesn't go well. Instead of being supportive, he grouses that he was in a bar all night trying to forget he'd ever met her. She's a killer. She protests her innocence and swears that Oscar was blackmailing her. Now her father has turned his back on her, the woman she has hated most in life turns out to be her sister ,and she's accused of murder. Beto is unforgiving. Even if Constanza didn't kill Salvador, she saw him go down from a heart attack and did nothing and said nothing. Yes, she made a lot of mistakes, Connie admits, and I wish I could turn back time and do things differently. All I did was destroy myself. And you destroyed me as well, sighs Beto. Satisfied? Look at me because this is the last time you'll ever see me. I love you a lot (un chorro) but this I can't forgive. While Connie screams his name and begs him to stay, Beto turns and leaves. Yikes! and here I thought Beto was going to be supportive. Well, hangovers never bring out the best in one.
Now a shot of the vecindad and Monita hesitating and looking thoughtful. Suddenly she begins to walk briskly. Yes, a decision has been made. But which one? She arrives at the station and gets a do-you-love-me hug from Beto like all the rest. And a request to slap him around to make him forget the pains of love. Better yet, let's have a sandwich hug with Mauricio! There's some funny grappling and groping with Monita getting squoze in the middle. (Jarocha, "squoze" is not really a legitimate word in English.) Paula and Christian arrive. There's some mild recrimination about Constanza messing up their wedding night but I suspect Paula loved every dramatic minute of it. And Duty comes first, as Christian intones.
Brief scene at the hospital. Tender moment as Estrella and Aldo see each other, exchange deep longing looks and then fall into each other's arms. Salvador arrives and then Estrella falls, period. In a dead faint.
Back to the jail. Connie is lying on her cot, eyes closed in despair, when she senses Monita's presence. Her thoughtful sister has brought her a sandwich. Constanza can't believe it. Surely she's come to jeer and gloat. That's what Connie would be doing if their positions were reversed. But things are finally making sense now. Constanza understands why her father was always defending Monita....yesssss...it was because she was his daughter with Isabel. They talk about the circumstances of Salvador's death and Monita does believe Constanza is incapable of killing. But why was Salvador so angry, what brought on the heart attack? Ask your mother, Monita. She can answer that question, suggests Constanza. This brings on the usual barrage of don't-mess-with-my-mom that we've heard a gazillion times before. But we sense some doubt for the first time.
Now to Marcos' dark side as he pays a visit to Hissy. He's clearly enjoying tormenting Isabel and while understandable, it's still a little sick-making. He gloats about how fast she's going downhill, and how quickly the illness is progressing. But there's still time. He's heard of a great treatment center in Switzerland and would be glad to pay for her care there. Nuthin' doin'. Isabel won't let him get near Valentina while she still can draw a breath. Oh well. In that case, what color would you like your coffin to be? Gray is a classy color...but no, come to think of it, black would be more appropriate for you, my dear. Rest In Peace, he quotes in Latin (the closed captions don't even attempt this) while Isabel mutters her hate for him. The scene closes with a look in the mirror of her future...a ghastly sight indeed.
Back to our two sisters. Connie is still explaining the circumstances of Sal's death. She had come to the office seeking proof that Mauricio was the Furia Enmascadora and found Isabel and Oscar there with Salvador. Monita thinks this is just another "connyism" to hurt her. Sadly, she was hoping that once Constanza knew they were sisters, she would stop this cruelty. Yes, I'm tired of hating you Monita, our Connie admits, but my hate for you is nothing compared to the hatred your mother has for you. Take off your blinders! Too much for Monita. Another painful exit, this time with Connie calling out despairingly for Valentina. Almost Biblical in that three times people who intended to be supportive turned and left Constanza alone and bereft. What can I say? These are morality plays.
Out in the lobby Beto is still in the full throes of his hangover. Bitching about the hot, bitter coffee someone has brought him. And ordering Paula to go out and buy him a cold beer instead. No way! You can't bully me and order me around when we're outside the office, she snaps. Right, chimes in Christian. I'm the only one who can bully her all the time. This gets him a slap and a promise of separate sleeping quarters. Short honeymoon.
The consensus is that Beto needs to sleep off this hangover and Mauricio offers to drive him home. Excellent idea. An air-conditioned ride is just what he needs. Naturally, Monita refuses this offer and insists that Beto walk home with her in the heat. But wait! now Oscar, looking bloody and disheveled, arrives in the hands of the arresting officers. Gabriela gives him a stony look. He replies with a mischievous grin. No repentance there, methinks.
And we zip back to the hospital where Estrella has recovered. A plainclothesman arrives to let them know that Oscar was found , tied hand and foot to a chair, back at the cabaña and has been arrested. No sign of Lorenza which worries Sal. She's crazy...well schizophrenic, and is a danger to herself and others. Foreshadowing? You betcha.
And next we see Lorenza angrily pounding on Gabriela's door and demanding that she open up. When no one answers, she attacks the plant in the hallway and discovers the hidden door key. "Te tengo, maldita" (I've got you, bitch) she mutters. Big uh oh moment.
More uh oh moments at the police station. Oscar is cool and defiant. Demands to see a lawyer, and admits to nothing. Oh a little swindling maybe, kiting a check or two. But no admitting to murder and no going to jail, folks. Monita jumps in and reminds him that he tried to shoot her when her mother was there. Ah, laughs Oscar, you should hear what I have to tell you about HER. Instead of listening, Monita punches him. A melee ensues with Oscar coming up with a policeman's gun and grabbing Valentina and threatening to shoot her if the police don't let him go. Naturally out little monkey keeps bleating and he shuts her up while Mauricio attempts to negotiate. Negativo, sez Christian. We don't negotiate with criminals. Clear the room of civilians. Oh my.
The scene switches to outside the police station where Nieves is arriving in search of her criatura. A cool Isabel arrives in her fine car right behind her. We assume Nieves came by "shank's mare" as my mama used to say. The usual insults are exchanged, culminating in Nieves calling her a "porqueria de madre". Well said.
Back to the standoff. Oscar is warned that he'll never escape. He replies that he'll die before going to prison. And if he dies, you all die. Suddenly Monita elbows Oscar in the gut. Mauricio rushes in, hits him and grabs for the gun. Oscar holds on and flattens him with the pistol, then rushes out, followed by the police. Monita cradles Mauricio protectively while everyone else cringes and listens to the gunshots. Silence. Christian walks back in. One death. None wounded. Oscar is done for. Now Isabel inches forward and pretends to be concerned about Monita.
When next we see them, they're back at Monita's room and Isabel is trying to quiz her daughter about seeing Constanza and what was said. Again, we see doubt flicker across Monita's face. I'm tired, mom, I want to rest, she says evasively. Pause. Another flicker of doubt. But why did Oscar point you out in that way? No...forget it. I just want to sleep. That's fine, coos Isabel, wrapping her claw around Monita's ankle. Close your eyes and rest, darling, I'll watch over your sleep.
A lethal lady indeed. But our playful Ximena is almost as dangerous. She's been entertaining herself watching Jeronimo turn purple when she turns off the button to his oxygen supply. And there's even more fun using the electroshock paddles to make his heart race faster and bounce him right off the bed! A bemused Gabriela finally puts an end to this game but not without encouraging a second shock just for the heck of it. Then she shares with Ximena that Sal can finally rest in peace. Oscar tried to escape from the police and was shot dead. And there are police in the corridor, of course, waiting for Jeronimo to come to so he can also be escorted to prison. No matter. At least Salvador doesn't have to wander in this world seeking justice anymore, muses Xime. At last he can go to the Light. Gaby notes that she'll light a candle for him tonight just in case.
Of course Sal is alive and more or less well, talking with Estrella and Aldo and anxious to see Gabriela after he and Aldo have made a declaration at the police station. Estrella notes that nobody will miss Oscar but Salvador needs to be careful and not shock Gaby with his appearance the way he did with her. No worries. And in a quiet moment, Sal congratulates Estrella on her pregnancy and assures her she'll be a great mother. Ojala.
Family time back at Nieves' place. Mauricio and Beto are at the table but Beto's not hungry, not even for a milanesa. He needs to sleep and pronto. Off he goes, after a blessing by Nieves and a reminder to take his pants off and hang on to them. For some reason this cracks Mauricio up. Our hot mama returns to the table to thank Mau for all his help. Not only are you gorgeous, (sexy chuckle and mischievous wink) but you're a dear (eres un sol). Now if only Monita would pay attention to Oscar's quip about Isabel. That wretched woman acted like such a martyr when she stepped in the way of Oscar's bullet. Hmmm. Our two lovable, somewhat dim bulbs look at each other and they get it. The shooting was a charade cooked up by Isabel and Oscar. But how to convince Monita?
And there we end.
Previews:
Gabriela enters her apartment and then hears Salvador's voice behind her.
Mauricio opens the door and finds Aldo and Estrella there. Tender looks.
Not so tender Isabel watches Monita sleep and plots a way to get Monita away from the people who love and protect her before it's too late.
Vocabulary:
dar la estocada final = (used before) give the final thrust, the killer blow
demacrada = haggard (Marcos talking to Isabel)
la piel de chinita = goosebumps, Estrella learning about Salvador
van a caer los chones al suelo = her undies will fall to the floor (Estrella talking about Gaby's surprise when she finds out Sal is alive)
rendirse = to surrender, something Oscar will never do
¿para qué tentamos al diablo? = why tempt fate? (lit. why tempt the devil?)
es un decir = it's just an expression, it's just a saying
¿en qué cabeza cabe? = what were you thinking?
solventar todos los gastos = pay all the costs (Marcos trying to get Isabel to go to Switzerland)
desencajado = shaken (lit. out of place)
no manches = no kidding
chamuscando en el infierno =roasting in hell (Oscar. hooray)
Dicho of the Day
Arbol que crece torcido.....
We've used this expression before but Nieves used it tonight, speaking about Connie and Beto's hopeless love for her. The complete expression is "Arbol que crece torcido, nunca su rama endereza. Once a crook, always a crook. Once a baddie, always a baddie.
We shall see. Carlos is rooting for Constanza. Shall we join him?

In a word... yes. I'm expecting wonderful things from Coni from here on out. Of course, we shall see.
Wow! What an action packed show and a recap worthy of that show. As usual, you make it look so easy and natural. You guys here set the standard. I'm honored to be a part of such a group. You, along with Kris, Sylvia, and Hombre have been my mentors.
The first 15 min of CCs were absolutely impossible here. Not so bad after the first commercial break. No matter, didn't seem to phase you in the least.
Moni so desperately doesn't want to realize the truth about Isabel. What an emotional crash it will be when she finally opens herself to the truth.
Oscar's demise was not a surprise. It was pretty much what I expected after yesterday's previews. I almost did a little eulogy for him last night. I really like the actor who played the part. He makes such a debonair bad guy. Oscar was bad but fun to watch.
Ximy seems to be developing a mean streak. I almost felt guilty enjoying her maltreatment of Jero.
Thanks again for such a fine recap of an excellent episode.
By the way, I hope that Güera, Vivi, Mike, and Emilia are OK. I'm missing them.
Carlos
"Kids, don't try this at home."
Who knew Beto would turn on Coni? Wow, rejected 3 times. Moni and Coni were bonding quite a bit until Coni started dissing Moni's mom. You just can't do that. "This brings on the usual barrage of don't-mess-with-my-mom that we've heard a gazillion times before. " "But we sense some doubt for the first time."
That was quite the fainting spell by Estrella. Nobody made a move to help. :) Aldo seems better in some ways, but also seems to be out of it in other ways.
Just not very classy by Marcos. If only he knew that was probably making things worse.
Christian better watch out what he says. "Short honeymoon."
Too bad Oscar had to go before he could spill a few beans. I think Isabel was going to try and provoke him to get him to shoot Moni or perhaps pull the trigger herself? I was wondering when Moni was going to make a move and hit him. Finally got the chance.
And Xime, what was up with that, fun with paddles. Turn off the oxygen until he changes color. Gabi let her go a couple of times. Hey, what the heck. Probably did him a lot of good.
"Our two lovable, somewhat dim bulbs look at each other and they get it." Way to go guys. But, at least they know Hissabel is bad. Still one dimmer bulb to light up with respect to that. :)
I would have wished a bit more agony for Oscar, but getting beaten up by both a mature chap and a kid then getting drugged by a crazy woman will have to do I guess. Yep, he was a pretty debonair villain. The actor did a great job.
Judy, I'll echo Carlos, you make recapping seem so easy and fluid. I also noticed the CCs very horrible at first and only slightly less so the rest of the time.
Carlos, our Xime has always had a sadistic streak. Must be from all those years being tortured and smothered by her brother.
I wonder if Issy feels she has a reprieve now that Oscar is gone or if she feels the anvil hanging overhead?
Thanks again Judy for another wonderful recap that completely does justice to this gem of a telenovela. Your vocab words have some real zingers this time! Your biblical reference was spot on, betrayed three time. Sister, you can really be deep sometimes.
Carlos, I remember your first recap, it was like you had been doing it for years. I'm not sure you needed any mentoring but thanks for your kind words. How lucky for us that everyone who started recapping here has had such natural talent. It makes us all look good!
I am seeking the superlatives with which to praise this recap. I am torn between 'peachy' and 'superb', so I'll settle for—JudyB this was a peachy-superb recap.
The peachy-superb list...
"Sicken everyone in range with his alchoholic effluvia"
Mauricio looks clueless...something he does with great aplomb.
"Well, hangovers never bring out the best in one".
"Tender moment as Estrella and Aldo see each other, exchange deep longing looks and then fall into each other's arms. Salvador arrives and then Estrella falls, period. In a dead faint".
"This brings on the usual barrage of don't-mess-with-my-mom that we've heard a gazillion times before. But we sense some doubt for the first time".
I agree with you about Marcos' behavior being sickening. This is one character with whom I cannot bond. His cruel streak is right there underneath his charm and his smile looks empty to me.
It's funny how I don't like Marcos for his cruelty but I can forgive Xime for her bad behavior. Actually, I found her exacting revenge on hapless Jero hysterically funny.I guess he won't hold his sister hostage again!
I wanted to share a proud Spanish moment. I went to the library for some reading material for the trip. I found Sara Gruen's book "Water For Elephants" - andI also saw the Spanish translation "Agua Para Elefantes"
I checked them both out. I've been reading sections first in Spanish and then in English. I often get lost in the descriptive passages in Spanish but I can actually follow the gist of the plot. I am amazed. I'm glad that I've reread the whole thing in English even if I did understand the Spanish because her language is beautiful and I miss the nuances in Spanish. I am so psyched that I could understand as much of the Spanish as I did!!!!
Güera from Syracuse
I think Moni is going to have to put two and two together at some point. She's had so many clues (as you said). Oscar called out Hissy, and so did Coni. Nieves, Estrella, and of course Mauricio have warned her repeatedly. Can all these people whom she's known for so many years really be lying to her?
What will it take? Aldo heard Isabel admit to drugging Mau and Estrella. If he told Moni this, would she doubt him, too? I don't think so. And Salvador knows all sorts of things, too. I don't think Moni would doubt him.
However, since we still have a number of episodes left, it isn't going to be that easy. I'm sure they have tons of twists and turns for us in these last few weeks.
So, I chose Spanish. It turned out I could understand a lot of the subtitles. But then I realized I was missing the beauty and poetry of the English in which the opera was written. So for Act 2, I switched back to English!
Judy, I forgot to say I very much like your title. You are a masterful wordsmith.
EJ, looks like you were right about Marcos from the start. I can't wait to see his face when he finds out Coni didn't have anything to do with Sal's death.
Carlos, right off, let me echo Sylvia...you didn't need any mentors, you were a pro from the first.
Güera...I am so excited for you. Learning another language takes such an investment of time and energy, but when you see the fruit of that struggle it's fantastic. You feel like you can fly! Enhorabuena, amiga.
Books with a lot of descriptive language can be tough. "Concept" books are easier because there are so many cognates. Water for Elephants in Spanish would really be a challenge.
And EJ, of course you were right about Marcos. He's a complicated character. His good deeds have come about becasue Monita is "his". So his motivation is still selfish. And with people who are not "his" either by their connection to him or his daughters, he can be sadistic and cruel.
Schoolmarm tells me headphones are dangerous but I find them a great help in clearly hearing the words...whether in English or Spanish or any other language. I have some hearing loss due to age, loud aerobic music and what not, so the headphones are a boon.
"Kids, don't try this at home", "alcoholic effluvia", "That's fine, coos Isabel, wrapping her claw around Monita's ankle" and my favorite, "connyism" were excellent. The vocabulary and dicho - splendid.
Your analytical, acute observations are amazing: "Almost Biblical in that three times people who intended to be supportive turned and left Constanza alone and bereft. What can I say? These are morality plays." Perfect...
I suspect that Jero's torment and mistreatment of Ximena in the past took a greater emotional toll than we realized. As Sylvia pointed out, she was fairly regaularly "tortured and smothered by her brother".
Jeff, your comment "I think Isabel was going to try and provoke him to get him to shoot Moni or perhaps pull the trigger herself" was very interesting. Now that Isabel's facade of being a human being is beginning to crumble and as she feels the walls closing in her, I fear she she will try to kill Moni by whatever means possible.
Moni at long last is processing the bits and pieces of information her stalwart friends and family are providing to her about Isabel. I think the final realization will come when she realizes as Hombre noted: "Can all these people whom she's known for so many years really be lying to her?" No...
EJ, I have never been in Marcos' corner and am not surprised he has forsaken Coni. He's rather selective as to when he tries to bribe and buy his way out of things. I gather he felt Coni's incarceration didn't merit his playing God (this time).
As for Beto, that's another story. I am dismayed and disappointed that he has abandoned his soul mate. Although, his reason - that Coni left Sal to die would be difficult to forgive and impossible to forget.
Güera, welcome back from your trip! Hope you had a wonderful time.
Diana
And while I'm dreaming of the reunion between Gaby and Sal, we know Lorenza is lurking in the apartment, so that can't be good.
Strangely, I am okay with Oscar's rapid (and unseen) demise. I've been rather horrified by the gory, sickening scenes of baddie's comeuppance in other telenovelas (the cruel, protracted end of that blind woman in Pasion for example) so I'm perfectly okay with a brief, poof! he's gone treatment. This is essentially a comedy so keep it light whenever possible. If we want gore, all we have to do is open up the Metro section of our local newspaper, alas.
Thanks for all that appreciation, amiga. The best part of this show is the actors still seem to be having fun with it and with each other. We have all been blessed to enjoy this basically upbeat take on life (apart from a few nefarious types), and while enjoying it, to share in each other's lives, our own highs and lows.
We've shared sickness and health, losses and gains, sadness and joy, fatigue and renewal. It's been great and I'm experiencing a little "pre-nostalgia" as I see it coming to an end. Almost time to graduate, alas.
YES, WE CAN HAVE A GANCHOLAND REUNION BLOG EVERY WEEK OR SO IF WE WISH.
Wrote to Melinama and she gave us a thumbs up on that. She's also interested in recruiting a couple of people for the Dinero show after Gancho ends. She'd like to give up her slot and there's another night where a recapper has had to do double-duty because no one was available. So think about it.
The Dinero show is cute, but anything later than a 7 pm show is hard for me to recap with my schedule.
Like you, anything later than the 7:00 show is hard for me. I get up way too early! Hopefully one of our other recappers can help out on Dinero.
Diana
Speaking of admiration, good for you Güera. You deserve to be very proud. You probably already know this, there are a number of dual language books with English and Spanish on opposite pages. A favorite of mine, el Somebrero de Tres Picos is available in this format coupled with el Capitán Veneno. Welcome back. You were missed.
Carlos
And to be fair.... Marcos DID get Constanza a lawyer. But he said she had to face up and accept the consequences of her own acts. Also fair.
Still...that number he did on Isabel. Alright, alright...it was for a good cause. To get a homicidal crazy away from his daughter. Alas, it didn't work.
Poor Alpha Male Dogs! They are given such a hard time these days—at least by the likes of me. OK, I'll accept Marcos' role as Alpha Male as long as you agree about the sadistic cruel streak. Alpha's are terribly useful in situations where a threat needs to be contained or controlled, i.e., Isabel. Since they are born to lead they tend to be very manipulative and their outer self-confidence is boundless.
I don't have a problem with his attitude with Constanza—that could be considered, as someone else has already said, tough love. He is proprietary about Moni, well, as her father he has to be since her Mother is attempting to kill our Valentina.
I don't even have a problem with his ruthlessness, that, too seems in character for the Alpha Male.
My issue with Marcos' character is the ENJOYMENT he takes in torturing his opponents.
Oh, my, I am going to miss our little show.Great news about Blogmom approving our get together once a week in the aftermath of Gancho. I'll be there.
EJ
Well, peculiar episode. I was so proud of Beto at ringside, but later, he was so little help to Coni in that sad jail cell. He left while she called after him pitifully. I feel like the ringside Beto was the real one, and the cell-side Beto was a very DRUNK Beto. He still has Coni’s back and will come through for her, soon. Of all the bad novela villains of late, she is the most sympathetic. I’m rooting for her ....
I don’t know what to say about Gabi and Xime with the oxygen and paddles, I’m just going to ignore that scene, pretend it didn’t happen. In novelas, you have to do that once in a while.
That was icky seeing Isabel watching Moni as she slept. I agree, a mustard seed of doubt has entered Moni’s brain, but it will take until “el fin” for it to grow to the size of a pea and do some good.
I noticed that although Beto's fumes were causing everyone else to nearly keel over, Coni didn't even flinch although he was right up in her face. She must have no sense of smell.
Okay, here's a quick trivia question: which of our characters have NOT been in jail?
Sandy, the Ximena scene was another odd one. As I watched, I kept thinking, no hospital would never allow this. Carlos must be gagging at the thought. And Xime can't possibly be that dumb....or sadistic. But it's the weird humor that sometimes creeps in here.
I was even bothered by some of Xime's oddly upbeat reactions to Gaby's loss in the past and other tragedies. But she DOES live in an alternate universe. Clearly a lot of the rules and codes you and I live by don't exist there.
Thanks for the compliment on speed. In the newspaper business, at least where I was, speed was highly valued. Get in, get out, get it done. (worry about inaccuracies later).
On the oxygen/paddles scene. It was Gabi that surprised me, she is so sensible. It must be a "British" (Mexican) humor kind of a thing.
Carlos, I think that Vivi is on vacation.
I think Marcos probably won't bat an eye when he finds out Coni didn't kill Sal. Good defense of the alpha male by Carlos. I'm just not sure how things will end up with Marcos?
A thumbs up for Hasta que el Dinero... from me. Good little show. Check it out. Much lighter than any TN I've seen. Gancho is dark compared to Dinero. I know some people don't like their TNs that light. :)
I think they may have to put around the clock guards on Moni to protect her from Hissy. She is rattling like crazy and ready to strike at any time. With Oskie gone, where will she get her poison now? I'm surprised there was not more gnashing of teeth from Hissy after Moni did not go to la-la land as she expected.
It's a little alarming but I can see how it would be hard to resist giving Xime the chance to get even a little.
Jeff, I've seen some episodes of Dinero and it is cute. I'm still dealing with a little rancor since Dinero is what bumped us out of our comfy 7 pm spot. However I loved it that when Melinama called out the "lurkers" a whole slew of people commented that had never been heard from before. Wish all people who read the recaps would comment since one does long for an audience for one's work.
And since we saw in the previews that Jeronimo is coming to....who knows, maybe the oxygen deprivation and coronary stimulation were just what he needed to emerge from the coma?
Estrella did a wonderful faint in the hospital - 1, 2, 3, and down she goes! I don't think Aldo could have caught her even if he realized what was happening. Great bonding between Aldo and Sal, and right when Aldo so badly needed a father figure. Let's hope Mau is able to step up to the plate for the kid.
Monita had better sleep lightly until Isabel is out of the picture. Isa just may take a page from Jeronimo's book and try to suffocate her.
Hooray for Melinama, letting us keep on keeping on after Gancho is over.
Also in pre-nostalgia... Emilia
I'm really looking forward to Gabi's and Sal's reunion which should be today.
Emilia, glad to see you back. I've missed you and Mike.
Judy, I don't think alpha male even give a thought to whether or not they are alpha males... they just are.
Carlos
And thanks Carlos, you definitely answered my question. I'm getting mmmmmmmasterful vibes right now. Most fun I've had all day.
I haven't watched the episode yet so I'm not sure what Beto was refering too, sorry. I'll watch it this night.
I was sorry that Beto wasn't supporting Coni but I think the writers want to let her alone and desperate for a moment to make her reflect on all the bad things she has done.
I do remember Xime's scene with Gabby at the hospital! We should get one of my favorite scenes involving her soon!
Jarocha
Jarocha, I can't wait for your favorite scene.
