Corazon Salvaje 6/18/10 Discussion

So sorry everyone. I was up really late trying to get my house clean so I don't have to do it when my son is here this weekend. It's been a year since I've seen him so I want to spend as much time as I can with him. So I'm posting this spot for discussion or if someone wants to do a summary that would be great. Again, my apologies.

Thanks, Connie. :-) I hope you all have a fantastic time! :D

Connie - I'm so happy your son is here, and visiting. Is he back from his deployment?

Connie, I'm glad that your son is at home. :) Have a great time!

Okay, videos:
1
The uploader cut out the nice conversation with Remigio (whom I adore - have I mentioned it yet? of course, at least 100 times), so here's one more video:
2 -> stop the video at 4.20 because it contains scenes from the next episode, too

Thank you, Connie. Have a wonderful time with your son.

Okay here's what I remember from last night:
Renato is still drunk as a skunk and disgusted by his wife. Aimee is still trying to lie and manipulate Ren into believing and trusting her again -- still doesn't work.

With every day on the LuzBel, Regina learns more and more about Juan - from Remi, Koli and from Juan himself. They have come into port and Juan asks Regi if she wants to go into shore - with Remi as her escort. She declines, so he says he will go into port for some wine and fun. He leaves the cabin and she chases after him. He isn't listening to her and walks away. She stops and talks with Remi, who tells her Capitan has never gotten drunk in his life and he is actually very smart. He also tells her that he has never seen Juan act around anyone like he does her. She smiles with her thought bubble.

Meanwhile - Leona gives Orca an order - Orca sits and plays his "Constanza's letter" threat again to her. Later, Leona sifts through Orca's dungeon chamber and finds the doll and the letter - she swipes the letter and replaces it with a blank piece of paper.

Then of course, we have Leona and Rod in discussion mode again. Rod is pleased with his latest plan to separate Juan and Regi and make her a permanent resident of a convent. Just as they are about to kiss, Orca walks in. He stuns them both when he blasts Rod with the truth that Maria del Rosario isn't dead. Leona has had him keep her in the dungeon for all these years. (If glares could kill, Leona would be dead.)

Jody :)

Connie, have a great time. Jody, thanks for the highlights.

I didn't understand all of Aimee's excuse to Ren. Did she say she thought Ren favored Reg all the years so she lost hope and hooked up with Juan? She said something about Reg and Juan, making it sound like Reg was guilty of something again.

Orca claims Leo as his MUJER in front of Rod, saying they hooked up for years. Both Leo and Rod have looks of astonishment/disgust on their faces. Ha, ha.

Santos' girlfriend (Juanita?) ask the crazy lady (MdR to us) this question. "What is the name of your sister?" Duh, how about asking her, "What is YOUR name?"

Before Leo finds the letter in Arcadio's room, she removes the jewel box from it's hiding place but she doesn't look inside. Are the jewels still there?

Before asking Reg if she would like to visit the port, Juan gives Reg another pep talk that she needs to enjoy life and not run away from life in the convent. And I think he said he doesn't expect anything from her (meaning marriage wise) but I'm not sure.

There's more about Jimena, the boys Gabe and Branco, Marian, Servando and Fulgencio and Rosenda.

GinCA

Mariel not Marian.

Connie I am so glad you are getting to see your son! Don't worry about this we'll talk amongst ourselves.

I got the impression that Aimee was trying hard to get Renato to sleep with her (gotta get that "baby" somehow...) Didn't Renato tell her no thanks, he was going to sleep in Regina's room?

I also think Arcadio was pressing Leo for another bunny hop. I think she didn't show and he came looking for her. He took one look at Leo about to lip lock with Rod and dropped the bomb on her. I couldn't tell if Rod was more horrified by the news that MdR is alive or the realization that he'd slept with Leo after she'd been doing the dirty with Arcadio for all those years.

Don't worry about the recap Connie. What an action packed show it was. Orca dropped a bomb on both Leo and Rod not only that MDr is alive, but that Leo is a skank. It did seem like Aimee was once again blaming Regina for something but Renato didn't look like he bought any of what she was selling. Also, the plot to make Jimena appear to be dead took off in full swing when Branko found Jimena's clothes floating down stream. He took it back to the house when Jimena was staying where everyone including a still brooding Gabe was gathered together to hear any news of Jimena's whereabout's when Branko showed up still carrying Jimena's clothes and announced that Jimena was dead and he blamed Gabe for her death. Can't wait for Monday's show.

After Arca left the house he went to the Paradise place and set it on fire.

xlntperuvian - LOL that you weren't sure what Rod was more disgusted by, I had that same thought! ITA that Aimee wanted/needed to get Ren to sleep with her. So I guess she isn't pregnant.

Ivy, those scenes you're talking about I didn't see last night.

Sorry, I may have gotten mixed up as I look a little ahead last night. I deleted!

Thank you, Jody!!!

At last Jimena's storyline is getting more interesting. I agree that Branko is a nice kid. Just don't let him play the guitar.

Gallery:
1 Santa Regina's gorgeous black-white outfit and I-Juan-A-Shirt's speech
2 the press conference of CS (I can hardly believe that Mejía's younger than EY)
3 highlights of the the week: drunk Renatonto, Aimee's fall, Juan's striptease and so on :)

There was a scene where Fulgencio accuses Servando of telling Jimena or someone about his arms dealing. He doesn't believe the palm reading. He threatens Servi, that he has to find Jimena and prove it.

Aribeth, LOL, don't let Branco play the guitar!

Connie, enjoy your time with your son. Thanks for providing a place for us to chat.

Yes things are heating up quite nicely. I particularly loved the timing of Orca's bomb. The baddies were reveling in their badness: Rod was so pleased with himself b/c Renato had turned to the dark side and he was telling Leo his other plotting on that score. He was thanking her for being is partner in crime (and later Hades). After a few hand kisses, Leo gets bold goes for some besos on the boca and Orca sees this and looses it.

xlntperuvian - ITA w/both you and Ivy regarding the look on Rod's face. I have to give the actor credit b/c at one point he looked like he was going to explode. It was just so satisfying seeing

Aribeth, thanks for your video clips. I wish we could get previews.

GinCA - ITA w/you regarding Santos's girlfriend. Ask MdR what HER name is then ask about her sister, son, husband, etc.

And great questions about the jewel box. Will there be any jewels? It would so great if Leo opened it and nothing was there.

The plot w/Jimena is very interesting b/c Servanto must bring her with him to Fully and Grizzy just sold her (and the death ploy is in full swing). ITA w/Pirate Babe, can't wait until Monday.

Rosenda's memory is going to be coming back soon. She had a nightmare of Rod rejecting her and Leo screaming at her. I hope when her memory returns she doesn't get mean again.

If anyone can fill us in on the conversations between Juan and Regina, I'd appreciate it. Also, what Remigio said to Regina. I think Regina wanted to go to the island with Juan and she was ticked off that he said he'd go by himself. I know very little Spanish and rely heavily on Caray, Caray for most of the stuff I can't catch. I record the show and then play back with pauses to write down the Spanish from the closed caption. Then I run to the computer and put it in for translation. It's a long, slow process. The funny thing is there are certain terms I have picked up right away. Callate, meaning shut up. Es muy guapo hombre, meaning is a very handsome man. There are times that Juan needs to callate and other times he can just be the muy guapo hombre and I'm satisfied.

Connie~~Have a great time with your son. Enjoy having him home and don't worry about anything else. Thanks for posting a place for discussion. Jody, thanks for the recap. This novela is getting soooo good....good things come to those who do not abandon the ship...mixed metaphors !!! Juan juants Reggie, and very soon I think Reggie will juant Juan. He is just to super delicious to resist.

Aribeth, Juan in that red shirt...my, oh my. That clip of the gull closing Sebastian's mouth was LOL. Thanks for all the clips and laughs. My new favorite expression: YAYAYAYAYA!

GinCA

Connie: Not to worry! Enjoy your son's return home! Each one of the commentors has added enough to get us through. Maybe I can try a bit of cutting and pasting to what Jody wrote and maybe you could edit it in at the top later on. I'll also see if I can get the gist of Juan's wonderful discussion with Regi topside.
========
Aribeth: Thanks for the video links. The topside discussion was terrific! I missed recording it but I think I can translate enough of it to do it justice.

I received a note from a reader that she was working on a fill-in recap, so if I receive that from her, I'll post it in it's own post to the sidebar.

Then if Connie wants to add it to the discussion thread later she could or leave it separate.

Have a great time with your son, Connie! You deserve it--one year is long.

Thanks, Jody for the highlights.

Sooo..if Renato spurned Aimee's pleas to sleep together and plans to sleep in Reggie's room...BINGO...He'll discover the diary.

Is it just me , or does MdR look a little like Courtny Love ever since Arcadio gave her that haircut ???

Aribeth: Thank you for those numbers. I'm not surprised Nunca Te Olvidaré was the most watched at 8pm, I remember the obsession people had with that novela, Edith González and Fernando Colunga made everyone stay at home during weekdays.

I was watching the credits for Ángela and I saw that the Blanco/Peña team wrote it, I completely forgot about that!

That makes a tie between Paty Navidad and Daniela Castro in the number of novelas that each have made with Blanco/Peña ("Cañaveral de Pasiones", "Ángela" and "El Manantial" for Navidad, "Cadenas de Amargura", "Cañaveral de Pasiones" and "Mi Pecado" for Castro)

The black and white outfit looks nice in Regina, what I loved is that you can actually see her hair this time.

Jarocha

Jeri: Sounds good. Here though is the conversation on the deck between Reggie and Juan that one of the commenters asked for. It's from the video clip that Aribeth posted and can always be dumped later. : > )
==================
P. 1) Juan watches Reggi greeting everyone on the boat from the shadows. She is amazed at the view. “So this is the Island of Saba!” Juan smiles and yells over at her to ask her if she’s interested in getting off the boat and seeing the island. She says no, she thought he was also going to get off . He asks if his presence upsets her that much. She says no, and since she’s had a bit of time around him she has realized that he’s not the wild animal she thought he was. “You’re simply a man who has suffered a lot and who has loved. And you know, we’re a lot alike that way. I’ve loved and suffered too, and I almost died.“ Then she begs him to take her to the convent. He asks her why she’s so bent on going to a convent. She tells him that at the convent there is silence, solitude and peace. “—Ah, peace. Hah! You can also find peace in the grave.” “—Then, let me die.” He can’t believe what he just heard. “—For gawd sakes! What are you thinking? You’re more alive than ever! Here. Come with me. Come on! I want to show you something. Come on.” He takes her over to a small mirror and makes her look at herself. “Look at what a lovely woman you are. How beautiful you look in this simple town-woman’s outfit. An ordinary woman, a woman who wants to live, who is in love, who allows the sun on her skin and who makes the most of it/ enjoys to the max.”
Reggie gets embarrassed and turns away. He tells her he only wants her to be alive and to recognize what freedom is rather than to be hidden away behind walls, listening to prayers and whispers and the pleadings of her companions (i.e., the other nuns). “It’s not because being a nun is a bad thing, but that you haven’t the vocation. None at all. You’re only doing it to run away, to flee, to hide somewhere, anywhere.” “—Juan!” “—For gawd’s sake! Just realize how beautiful you look! I would even dare to say you look lovelier than even your sister, you know?” “—Be quiet!” “—Why? What’s so wrong in being beautiful?” She asks him to let her be. He says look, he’s not about to hurt her and there’s no reason to fear him. “It’s not my intention to force anyone into anything. I already told you that. I only want you alive. Why do you want to die? What reason could there be?” He grabs her arm and makes him face her. “Look at me! Do you really believe that you cannot live without Renato? Is that what it is?” They look into each other’s eyes.

Here's the rest of Juan and Reggi's on-deck conversation (p.2.)
=============
Suddenly she yells at him about bringing up Renato. He gets frustrated and says the guy doesn’t love her and will never be hers. He tries to make a joke about her thinking she can’t live with him since she never has lived with him. Reggie doesn’t appreciate the humor. She tells Juan not to make fun of her. Anyway, she still holds a little hope. Juan tells her that a bit of hope is really such a little thing. He says what is really something is loving anxiously, desperately, insanely. That’s what he and Aimee had. “That’s what captivated us. Yes. If one feels that, then I’ll believe it, but a little bit of hope? It’s like a dream, an illusion, nothing more. It’s like a bandage over our eyes that that won’t let us see, that suffocates us!” Reggie complains that he seems to enjoy tormenting her. He disagrees emphatically and says he only wants to open her eyes, to let go of her absurd ideas and become a woman. “Only that, because before today you were just a mummy wrapped in a hundred rags.” Reggie is insulted and protests. “What’s the matter with you??” “—Just tell me something: how is it possible that you must talk about Renato so? What has he done for you to make you so crazy about him? Tell me!! What methods has he so that you should be so worked up over him and that gets me so angry?? That should make me envious even? Oh yes! It does! I only wish that Aimee would have loved me with the same intensity that you love Renato.” He realizes he’s said too much and so he turns away in shame and walks off.

Thanks, Jardinera. Juan gave quite a speech. Reggie is sure to melt soon.

Jardinera, thank for the excellent translation. I am almost sorry that I read it, it is the saddest thing I have ever heard. If that doesn't give Regina some insight into the real Juan, there is no hope for her.

Rosemary

Ohhh, this is getting really good. Connie thanks a million for posting a place for us to comment.Enjoy your son,a year is a long time to be apart. What does Aime want? She is just a young version of Leo.They don't know where to draw the line. Regina is just adorable with Colibre. Can you imagine Aime in a similar situation? She would have caused a mutiny on Luzbel. What on earth are Renato and Rod hoping to get out of this ridiculous accusation of Jaun? The man is married to Regina legally.Rod even has the nerve to promise her a permanent stay at the convent.Like the good book says"A man's enemies are members of his own household."Good news is, in TN world the good almost always win. Renato is sinking fast isn't he? He has his wife where he wants her, what more does he want? Brat not Pitt!!!

Hanna

How could Regina not fall for Juan after that speech. He may be bullheaded and stubborn, but he spoke the truth about her living like a prisoner and she needs to loosen up and enjoy life. Heck. If she doesn't want him, I'll take him.

Jardinera, lovely translation; thank you! It is sad, Rosemary!

Haven't been around much today, but I just want to say I was stunned at the ending and cliffhanger! How wonderful.

Rodrigo is going to have a freaking heart attack. No more coochie cooing for Leonarda.

Jeri: Coochie-cooing!!LOLOL! It was a humdinger of an ending, wasn't it? I was actually yelling at my screen and giving the old Orca a verbal high-five. I couldn't believe he just blurted that out like that. I truly didn't see it coming. What a shame they moved this tn to the witching hour.

Jardinera, thanks so much for the translation of Juan & Reggie's conversation. Wow, Juan revealed not only the farce of his relationship w/Aimee but also stated he was jealous of Regina's love of Renato. Those speeches will quickly melt Regina's heart.

Susanlynn - your pop culture reference are too funny. MdR as Courtney Love, LOL!

Jeri - yes, no more cooch for Leo but Rod's so horny he'll nail anything.

Connie, I hope you have a great time while your son is home. Thanks to all who gave us recap parts. Loved to read Juan's speech in detail. (Swoon)

"Orca claims Leo as his MUJER in front of Rod, saying they hooked up for years. Both Leo and Rod have looks of astonishment/disgust on their faces. Ha, ha." That was so funny! and amazing. I was gasping, I was laughing, I was impactada. Now we'll see some heads roll (I hope).

Speaking of rolling heads--when Leo was searching for Constanza's letter, she found it tucked in the doll. BUT, the last time we saw the doll, Arcadio had ripped its head off and MdR was mourning it as dead. SO, did Arcadio mend the doll and sew its head back on? Am I going crazy or is it just a loose beanie slipping to the side?

Evil Griselda! You'll get your punishment someday. That cantina guy looks like he's never heard of treating employees kindly.
La Paloma

Jardinera, thank you very much for the summary and the translation of the topside scene!

Jarocha:
"That makes a tie between Paty Navidad and Daniela Castro in the number of novelas that each have made with Blanco/Peña"

Yes, yes, yes! :) And don't forget Azela Robinson who played a whore in Canaveral, Laberintos and El Manantial. :) Or Francisco Gorgeous Gattorno.

Months ago I collected the actors who participated in two or three Blanco/Pena telenovelas. The TNs were produced by different producers, but Gattorno, Robinson and Navidad (+ Castro and Évora) returned many times. This can't be a coincidence.
And I want, want, want EY and especially Adela to play "the older generation" in B/P telenovelas.

Cadenas de Amargura
(producer: Carlos Sotomayor)
Daniela Castro, Diana Bracho

Capricho
(Carlos Sotomayor)
D. Bracho, Victoria Ruffo, Alejandro Tommasi

Canaveral de Pasiones
(Humberto Zurita & Christian Bach)
Azela Robinson, César Évora, D. Castro, Juan Soler, Francisco Gattorno, Patricia Navidad, Sebastián Zurita, Zoraida Gómez

Ángela
(José Alberto Castro)
J. Soler, P. Navidad, Olivia Bucio

Laberintos de Pasión
(Ernesto Alonso)
A. Robinson, C. Évora, Manuel Ojeda (Fulgencio in CS), Leticia Calderón, F. Gattorno

El Manantial
(Carla Estrada)
O. Bucio, C. Évora, P. Navidad, A. Robinson, A. Tommasi, M. Ojeda

Mi Pecado
(Juan Osorio)
D. Castro, F. Gattorno

+ En Nombre del Amor, since it's the remake of Cadenas de amargura
(Carlos Moreno Laguillo )
L. Calderón, V. Ruffo, S. Zurita, Z. Gómez, O. Bucio

+ as far as I know Carlos Daniel, Alejandro Orive AND Pena/Blanco wrote the original La duena
F. Gattorno and Angélica Rivera

*sigh* I love there writers.

Gah! Aribeth! Thank you for that list!

Sotomayor, Zurita/Bach, Alonso and Estrada! Talk about the "crème de la crème", that's some of the best producers for several generations of novelas.

JA Castro is a hit or miss with me and I usually hate Osorio but both did good with "Ángela" and "Mi Pecado".

I liked ENDA ok but I much prefer Cadenas although now it's going to be fun to remmber it after looking at the connection between Lety Calderón and Blanco/Peña.

Televisa needs to give those two a lifetime achievement award at some point, although they are still pretty young! I'm hoping they'll come back soon with another story.

Jarocha

Also, LOL at Azela Robinson playing basically the same type of character in every story.

Jarocha

Jardinera, thanks so much for the very complete translation. Your Spanish is amazing. I sometimes get the gist of it, sometimes not. And not so much in this case. Since this is on at 12 a m, I have to use the t v that has no captions which is in another room so as not to wake my husband. So it was a true pleasure reading Juan's true and sincere advice to Reggie. I hope she realizes he is the only one who wants well for her.

Ah, yes, this novela is getting better and better. I, too, was certainly surprised by Orca's sudden revelations but I guess he just had HAD it. As Jeri says, will it be the big one for Rod or will someone else die, maybe Orca, since he's completely run amok now. Where's that pistol, Rod? Or maybe they'll both strangle Leo since she's done so many dastardly things, and strangling seems so popular on this finca.

GinCA

Jardinera, thank you so much for the translation. I couldn't get what he was saying and even trying to use the computer translator didn't help. It was a beautiful and heartfelt speech that shows that Juan is not the savage he's been portrayed to be. The only thing I would say is that Juan will realize one day that what he had with Aimee was lust and what he will have one day with Regina is true love. You can tell by the look on her face that she is already responding to him. A sly man he is, because he is determined, I believe, that Regina will be his. He pretty much said so in the scene in the bedroom when he stated he could fulfill all her desires. That's a mighty bold statement and I think he aims to fulfill it completely!

Help?? I missed the first 20 minutes of the show Friday. Is there a bedroom scene that I missed where Juan actually "stated he could fulfill all her desires." as BarbaraM says. YouTube erased all but the last scene to this episodio. I think I remember that from the night before's show, but dunno. So HELP???

Jardinera, I also remember a bedroom scene from the night before, not this one.

I don't remember him telling her about her desires; could just be a spell of ADD, though.

P.S. Azela Robinson had a non-whore role in La Otra.

I like Azela, but I never liked one of her characters till La Otra. It's nice to see what she can do.

Her character was a sweet person and good daughter and mother.

About Regina: It seems we are seeing her gentle ways now bringing out the gentlemanly and humane side of Juan when it comes to women and society in general. Before, he only seemed to present this side of himself to his closest friends.

In the conversation Remigio had with Regina, he was telling her that Juan had never stayed bedside with someone before in his life -- and I was thinking Remigio was forgetting the black-veiled lady.

Remigio knew he kept watch with the black-veiled lady (María del Rosario), too, I thought. If they'd known she is Juan's mother, he probably would have remembered that.

Jeri: Good point. Perhaps Rem didn't know about MdR/Black Veiled Lady thing, or did he tell Rem after? Too far back for me to remember.

Jardinera, if I remember correctly, I think the scene where Juan hung the sheets up is when he told Reggie he could fulfill all her desires.

LaPaloma, you're right, Arcadio did rip the doll's head off.

What I didn't understand was why Leo retrieved MdR's jewelry chest. Was she going to pay off Arcadio again or was there some other reason? I wonder if he knows she has Constanza's letter?

I Loved this episode! I've been giggling all weekend about Arcadio dropping the bomb on Leo and Rod. What's that old saying, "Don't poke the bear"? Leo poked the bear...

YES~~Add me to the list of impactadas when Orca burst in on Leo and Old Rod embracing and spilled all those old beans. I think that he just blurted it out because lately everyone [Leo, Old Rod, MdR, Mirta, Rosenda] have been getting on Orca's last nerve. They could have entitled this show Grumpy Old Hombres because it features so many of them [Old Rod, Orca, Fulgy]. Sooo...what will happen now that Old Rod knows that MdR has been alive and imprisoned right beneath his feet all these years and that Leo is responsible ??? I hope that Juan finds MdR and figures out that she is indeed his very own mamacita whose death was greatly exaggerated. The pot is boiling now...time to throw some villains into it.

Didn't mean to confuse anyone, but it was the sheet scene where Juan said he could fulfill all of Regina's desires. Don't think those words have left her mind. Juan is getting under her skin and in her heart bit by bit. The scene where he has the pajama bottoms on and is posing seductively tells us that Juan is not going to quit until he has Regina.

Thanks, folks. Now I remember the sheet scene and Juan saying he could fulfill all her desires. Yes, seeing him strip behind the curtain was absolutely seductive! Might be that Juan's macho is stung where Ren is concerned and so that's why he's begun to think of Regina as a conquest worthy of his time, especially since he realized that Aimee was the shallow kind and would never leave the luxurious life at Ren's side no matter what. Now that he's married to Reggie, might as well love the one you're with if you can't be with the one you love. (apologies to Steven Stills.)

Great comments.

Jarocha:
"Televisa needs to give those two a lifetime achievement award at some point"

I agree! :)
Between El manantial (2001) and Mi pecado (2009) they didn't write anything. I hope they won't retire for eight years again.

Jeri:
I loved Azela's character in La otra. It was a pleasant surprise watching her in a nice role. :)
And I liked her in El manantial very much. Francisca Rivero commited many mistakes and sins, but she payed a high prize for them: she lost her husband, her baby, the respect of her daughter and her will to live. She was a tragic character.

GinCA:
"Or maybe they'll both strangle Leo since she's done so many dastardly things, and strangling seems so popular on this finca."

LOL! I support your idea.

Juan's falling for Reggie quickly. He isn't in love yet, but she's nice, interesting, stubborn - available and impalpable at the same time. And yes, the competition with Renato for the ladies' attention must've turned him up, too.
Machos.

As for his speech: on Telenovela-World we were talking about how much certain conversations are similar to the book.

Regarding Constanza'a letter...this novela is turning into ''letter, letter, who's got the letter?'' It reminds me of the d*mn ''cofres'' in Duelo de Pasiones'' and FELS or that drinking game college students used to play watching The Bob Newhart Show. [Every time someone said ''Bob'', you had to take a swig of your favorite beverage.] Let's do some backtracking. Constanza wrote the letter, put it in her cofre, and gave the key to Clemencia in case of her untimely demise. Clem never opened the cofre and doesn't know about the letter. Arcadio originally found it in Constanza'a cofre which was stashed in the finca cellar/dungeon and gleefully squirreled it away as blackmail evidence to control Leo. [Reggie and Jimena pushed the cofre around while Reggie was using the cellar as a photo developing studio, but they never opened it up. Then, MdR found it while rummaging through Arcadio's room in search of who-knows-what and stuffed it under the dolly's sweater. Then, Arcadio found it again after decapitating MdR's doll baby. Now, Leo has it. Who will get it next ? Old Rod ? Rennie ? Aimee ??? Clemencia??? I'd include nosy, conniving Rosenda, but she's out of the finca and seems to have turned abruptly pleasant and docile. Evidently, that rock Arcadio applied to her head rendered her no longer vile and vicious. Who knew that was all one needed to do to change her into a decent human being ? Would this , perhaps, work on people in our real life worlds ??? Should we , at least, try it on a few ??? Maybe not. [Word identification : ''headenti'' As in: ''Rosenda had her headenti and became a nicer person.'']

Jardinera (from the STuD post) - ITA w/you regarding Ren's abusive behavior towards Aimee (though she is reaping the whirlwind, I wish her "punishment" was more verbal than physical) and everyone else. He wants Juan dead and is willing to do anything to "get" him. Ya Basta! I just wish he would divorce the heifer, mature and take notes about how to handle adversity from his dad.

Susanlynn/mad bess: Thanks for the rewind on the Constanza letter. So much happens in these things it's getting hard to remember the details. As for Rosenda, it would be nicer for everyone involved if that other half of her memory stays lost. Sometimes that happens to people I believe. However, she'll probably get it back and drive us all crazy again till the next to last episodio. Dr. Pablo may have taken on more than he can handle with her!
==========
Karen: Renato is too much like his mother unfortunately, IMO and this will be his undoing. Maybe he'll get wise before it's too late. It's about time Juan comes back and teaches him a lesson!

Karen, you go girl! Renato needs to grow up. He sounds most of the time like the two and three year olds in playground where someone else has taken their stuff. If he had a brain in his head and had remembered that all that glitters is not gold, he would never have fallen for Aimee. Besides, is he that dumb that he didn't realize she wasn't a virgin on their wedding night. She can't be that good in bed!

Going on vacation tomorrow to Maine so I'll catch up with everything next Friday night. Can't wait to see everyone's comments because they are just so much fun. This is not something I normally do, but I'm getting a kick out of discussing and analyzing CS with everyone. Have a great and blessed week!

The scene where Juan poses seductively in his pj bottoms?? Oh, my...the room is getting warm again (I need one of Aimee's fans...)

BarbaraM: Have a great time in Maine! It's beautiful country.
==========
Xint: Yeah, ITA about needing one of Aimee's fans! LOL!

BarbaraM - have a great time in Maine and a blessed time also! Will look forward to your comments next week.

Renato was inexperienced. He was stuck at the finca all by himself. Remember, he told Juan that he didn't have any friends except Regina and Leona never let him play with the finca kids. If Renato had been experienced he would have seen through Aimee from jump street.

Anon. 10:23pm: Good point. Ren is socially maladjusted. He does not play well with others. He was not taught conflict resolution --at least only the kind that Leonarda would have taught him, being separated from his father for so long. Works for me!

For leading a sheltered life, Renato turned out amazingly good, I always thought. He was super toward young Juan; really just super. I was always impressed with his treatment of young Juan.

But "inexperienced" is a great word for him. He just doesn't have the toolbox necessary to deal with all life throws at him. And he's got more than his share of hard cases around.

Barbara, have a great time -- and it's so nice you have joined the discussion. :)

Morning everyone. I haven't had a chance to read all the comments yet but it looks like there were lots of good summaries/comments. My son is here safe and sound. He tried to sneak up on me but my dogs are an early warning system. I didn't even get a chance to watch this episode. So now I'm behind on CS and STud. More later.

Hi Aribeth...thanks for those links. The conversation on the boat was great and of course I couldn't resist watching the second video all the way through. This one is really getting to be enjoyable.

Good morning. Connie~~So glad that your son is there and sneaking up on you. I'll bet it feels like old times !!! Barbara~Enjoy Maine. I've never been there. I'll bet it's cooler than the high 80s we've been having here the last few days. Has anyone been to Quebec? Any suggestions for what to see and do and where to stay in Vieux Quebec ? Hub and I are trying to get there for a few days . Can't wait to see what happens next in this show. I love it. Well, I'm off to work. Later, Gators.

I was surprised when Orca slapped Leo and blurthed his secret relation with her. But, right now how is he going to prove that? MRD is missing in action. If he tells about the letter he won't be able to prove anything because it is gone. When the opened MDR's "tomb" there was a cadaver there. I don't think they had DNA tests at the time.

La Paloma, I was thinking the same thing about the doll. Whn Orca tried to rape MDR and then killed her companion. He decapitated the doll and threw it away. I was surprised to see it in one piece again.

Connie, enjoy your son. I know how it is. I have a brother and he went away couple of times and each time was worse than the last. When his time was up he got out. He was in Afganistan, Kwait, and was in Irak. When he came back from Irak I thing he got enough.

Sue, I was wondering the same things. The only "proof" Orca has of his claim is the cell where he kept MdR and Mirta. He murdered and disfigured Mirta and I'm sure he won't admit to that. He does have some of MdR's jewelry though, that Leo paid him off with. She'll have a hard time explaining why he has it.

As for the broken doll, didn't MdR come back, find it, cry over it, and then put it back together? I cannot remember for sure, but I thought that was why it was in one piece again.
