Corazon Salvaje June 2, 2010 Discussion

A very pivotal episode. I don't want to ruin anything if someone is working on a "mini-cap" but WILL say "Oh no she didn't". And, thankfully so.

If I remember well Sarah said last week that she'd cover a recap. :)
This one was a great episode, I loved the fight, the wedding and the "for Gods sake, woman, don't marry that A-hole Fed, no matter what your dirtbag daddy says" scenes.
The second part of the telenovela starts from this episode, take a seat and enjoy the ride. :)
Love your picture!
Diana
Diana, thank you, I'm glad you like the episode and the picture. I played with photoshop two days ago. :) It's a little bit cheesy (pink and purple background, kissing pair) but I like it.
(I used this promo picture.)
i just watched the episode on YouTube. WoW! soo many secrets were unhatched.
very briefly:
Dr. Pablo rescues unconscious Rosie and takes her to the hospital. Magda runs in to see her and Dr. Pablo tells her the diagnosis. Magda then runs to Leo and accuses her of trying to kill Rosie and blasts her about Rosie being pregnant with Rod's baby. Leo and Magda exchange face slaps. Magda scolds Leo and leaves angry. Leo mutters her shock about Rosie being pregnant with a new member of her own family.
Juan, F, F, and R play poker at the Can't Can't Club - R losing badly wants to end his hand early. Juan is in a giving mood - well, he gives up his winnings so R won't go hungry with no money in his pocket.
Juan is jumped by R's bandits - Bandits are no match for our Tarzan.
Juan advises Reg not to get married - advice well taken because at the ceremony, after a very long pause, she said "No Acepto." Daddy R slapped her. She and Clem run away. Noel scolds R and Leo for trying to condemn Reg to the same hell that he and Leo have been living in.
While Reg and Clem visit Constanza's grave, Juan and Chuy are cornered on his boat by the corrupt police chief and his army. As they try to take on Tarzan, Gabe and the fisherman's union show up and tranquilize the fight. Everyone moves the argument back to the police station. Noel defends Juan and keeps him out of jail. (Who saw that coming? Noel - the one guy the police chief actually respects for his honesty and nobility).
Outside the police station, Noel asks Juan if the accusation is true - Juan says yes and gives his reasons. Noel advises him to stay out of trouble. Then tells him Regi didn't marry F. Juan, Gabe and Noel share a laugh.
Family pow-wow at the finca - Rod and Fed argue - Juan and Noel enter - Juan shows F the telegram he received which reveals that Fed is a scam artist. R throws the bum out. Ren confronts Juan and tries to get Juan to reveal his real interest in Reg. At this moment, Reg. and Clem join the pow-wow.
i love your picture, Aribeth. it is muy bien rechulo.
Jody :)
When Magda left the only thing Leo was concerned about was la maldicion that will be brought upon them from the attempt to kill their own blood (baby)...I mean, isn't that what she tried to do to Juan though? Bitch is crazy.
I can't wait to see how Juan answers the question as to his feelings for Reggie.
Finally, Fed is found out. I don't see him slinking into the sunset quite yet though. I think he needs to stick around so Fully can dispose of him once he finds out he's been with Eloisa.
Aribeth, that picture is my favorite thus far. Beautiful.

I'm sure we're all thankful that Reggie finally said no. Rod slapped the fop before he sent him away but Rod still needs to get slapped multiple times for his abuse of Reggie. Perhaps when Aimee is discovered as the harlot she is and with whom she's been cavorting, Rod will emotionally (and maybe physically) get the slap he deserves.
Kryptonian - great observation about Leo. It is amazing how she is so superstitious but that does not stop her being evil incarnate. I enjoyed Magda slapping her back.
Diana - the producers were quite shameful in dragging out Reggie's response. Thankfully it was worth the wait. Also ITA with you regarding Fed, it won't go quietly but Fully handle him soon.
Question from yesterday, was the couple some were hoping for Noel and Jimena/Angela's mom?
So if Rod is a loser what does that make Fed then?
The Kryptonian that Bitch is crazy ROFL well when you're from a family that calls itself Montes De Oca but it sounds like everyone is saying Montes De Loca what could we expect.
I loved Noel telling Rod & Leo not to condemn Regina to the kind of marriage he has with Leonarda. I was also secretly hoping the priest would smack Rod & Leo right then and there.
I tried to translate Juan's speech, but it's not perfect, I didn't understand a few words, and my English is still limited.
So, it's a free translation. :)
J: Vaya, vaya, vaya, vaya. Así que la Senorita Santa Regina se nos casa. Carramba. Con ese cáracter tan fuerte y se dejó convercer para casarse con Federico Martin del Campo? Con ese tipejo?
Well, well, well, so Senorita Santa Regina's getting married? Gosh, such a strong personality lets herself convince to marry Federico Martin del Campo? That rascal?
R: Por favor, Juan. Yo lo hago por la salud de mi padre.
Please, Juan. I'm doing this for the health of my father.
J: De su padre? Claro, su padre...
Your father? Of course, your father...
R: Los hijos estamos obligados a sacrificarnos por los padres. Usted mejor que nadie lo sabe.
The children are obligated to sacrifice themselves for their parents. YOU know this better than anyone.
J: Escucheme bien.
(He says one short sentence, I don't understand it. Haga lo haga? I dunno.)
Listen to me. Listen to me closely. One thing is the parents and another to love them/make them happy. (??? Sorry, this is a messy sentence for me.) Don't let them betray you. Your father uses you, don't tolerate that. Don't marry, much less without being in love. In the church you'll say: until death separates us. Imagine this: you'll get married and later you'll die without knowing true love. Don't get married.
Karen, yes, some of us are hoping for Noel and Jimena's mother to get together. I don't know if Jimena's father is dead or left?

You can download the episodes of STUD from here. Unfortunately the first episodes have been deleted from youtube.
Diana:
Yes, they crossed. :-)
That was a nice speech. Doctorcito wasn't that convincing in the church last week.(Though I would've flee with him after the first "marry me and get the hell out of here" sentence.)
As for the fight scene, let me link again video (I-Eduardo-A-Spandex is practicing jiujitsu), and fastforward it to the last seconds. :-)
(OT: Martial arts are fun but yesterday a friend of mine fell on my foot while we were practicing aikido. Now I have purple toes, fortunately none of them broke. I look at the jiujitsu-video and I think: these guys must be extremely cautious because they could break each other's arm easily.)

It was great that Juan got Reggi to listen to him, told her, her father was using her and not to marry without love. I wanted Reggie to slap Rod back, of course totally unrealistic. He so deserves it, though.
I was a little dismayed to see the conflict start between Renato and Juan. I didn't catch what Juan said, was he telling Renato he didn't live up to his ideals because he was going to allow Reggi's marriage to go forward?
How can Juan answer that question? If he tells the truth it will probably be even worse than if he doesn't.
Of course, doctorcito found Rosenda, good, though.
Can't wait for tonight, I tried to look ahead a little (get no previews), but part 1 of the next episode is missing on YouTube.
There were quite a few pivotal things going on last night. It was certainly a very entertaining episode. What struck me the most is that Ren has turned on Juan now. He says it's because Juan has never been honest and that Juan stopped the marriage because he's in love with Regina. So maybe Ren has finally believed Aimee's lies when she was trying to cover her *** when she went out searching for her salvaje. As someone mentioned awhile back, maybe Ren is jealous of Juan now that he knows he's rich and Ren's own marriage is not what he thought it would be. However, Ren didn't seem to mind Regina being in a loveless marriage or that she was just saved from marrying a fraud.. Also Juan's denial of being in love with Regina seemed weak and I think he had to actually think about it for a long while before unconvincingly saying no. Maybe it will be an aha moment for Juan.
Magda visiting Rosie: Why do visitors always pat and stroke the patients' head when they have a head injury with a bandage obviously wrapped around it for a reason. That's right, let's cause a little more brain damage.
Good for Gabe and Jimena. They are taking action with their relationship though I can't see how they will leave now that Jimena and Mariela have found each other.
LOL...these characters are slapping each other silly, right and left

As for Renato i think his brotherly feelings for Regina have taken a turn towards jealousy. he doesn't like the fact that Juan may be interested in Regina at all. Look at how many times he defended her to Aimee saying she's not capable of behaving like that.
The way he acted with Juan last night was definitely revealing, he certainly didn't like being put on the spot in front of everyone about how he could let this almost foolish marriage happen.

"No acepto."
Well said, Regina. Now, is she going to show us a little spark and spine?
She does, after all, share the same genes with Aimee, who has had no problem pursuing what she wants.
I may just have to stay up past my bedtime tonight to see what happens next.

I went to Wikipedia and checked. There was a cholera epidemic mid-1800s. The perfect telenovela solution.
