Corazon Salvaje Ep. 116, 8/2/2010 Federico Shoe Shine Boy?

Review: Jimena and Gabe are having their own wedding ceremony. Somehow the waterfalls are lit with different colors. He is hers and always will be, she is his and his love has shown her anything is possible. He hands her flowers, white and red, a symbol of their love. Para siempre, para siempre. Lots of kissing, they are naked in the water, looks like a pretty strong waterfall for them to be under. Their theme song playing, I hope the water isn't too cold. Full moon., goes on for awhile. Then they are out of the water, dressed again except Gabe’s shirt, but then they are nude again in the flowers surrounded by candles, making love. They are united by love, immensely happy.

The Aguacil and his cohort are thrown into the prison, the prison where they keep people for life. Aguacil is being attacked by people that he put in prison, very bad scene for him.

Jacinta is telling Gabe and Jimena that MdR is very sick and doesn't have long to live. Gabe wants to go look for Juan. He kisses Jimena who then comforts Jacinta and then he is very quickly with Juan and hugging him. Juan thanks him and the other pescadores saying they are his true friends. He just asks that they don't let MdR know how ill she is. I want her to be as happy as possible in her last days. Pedro says he can count on them. Santos says they are as much his brothers as Remigio, who is also there. Colibri says we will always be with our capitan, hugs Juan and Juan is crying. Juan asks Gabe what is happening with his property, the house by pinon del diablo? Gabe says you have it all back and gives him keys. They ask him what he is going to do? He says he is going to change his clothes, he has to go see an old friend - ominous music and Remi looks concerned.

To Fulgencio's house where they are setting up the card table. Fully is telling himself it can't be that Eloisa is lying to him, she has prepared everything perfectly for the party. Eloisa says so you see that I love you, and Fully says I know you love me mucho, as he kisses her hand.

Jimena is telling Regina she knows about MdR, and MdR has the light of love in her hand, she is waiting for that love, that she will be fine,- Jimena tells Regi she will be there to help her. Regi is grateful, but she tells Clem that it hurts so much that MdR is ill, that Juan is suffering. Clem asks where he is and Regi says he said he had something to do and he would be back later. Uh Oh. Clem hugs Regi who is crying.

Raul is talking about something Norte at Fully's party. Eloisa says don't they want to toast, they do salud. Raul is wondering if the other people are coming, it's getting late, Fully says of course they are. Juan arrives pronto. Raul and Fully are happy to see him, Eloisa not so much. They are still waiting for Renato and Juan says if the fourth player doesn't come maybe we will have to cancel or go get him. At that moment in walks Renato saying they don't have to do either one. Awkward moment between all of them, Ren and Juan stare daggers at each other. Juan says it's gentlemanly to arrive on time, and Renato says because of that he apologizes for being late. They sit down, Juan and Renato looking challengingly at each other.

Regi is talking to the pescadores, she is asking them where Juan went, that he was mysterious about leaving. She says she is sure they all know where Juan is. Gabe tells her the truth, that Juan went to Fully's to play cards. Regi looks surprised, and asks why would he go to such a gathering? What was important about it? They don't want to answer, but she is insistent. Gabe tells her he wanted to go because one of the players is Renato. Regi looks disturbed and upset.

To said party, where Fully is saying it they all agree the bets will be high and Raul says they all have enough money to cover their losses. Juan suggests they put all their money in the middle of the table. Renato asks if he is doubting their honor, Juan says no, let's just do that to avoid unpleasantness later. They all put their bags of money on the table, and Ren ask Juan if he is satisfied? Fully says I don't think Juan is doubting anyone's honor, this way we just see what we have to lose. Raul suggests Eloisa hold on to the money. She will gladly do it and they don't need to worry about their money. Fully says good luck, gentlemen. Ren looks worried. Juan deals.

Regi is asking how they could let Juan go, especially Remigio, Pedro says don't worry, Juan told us nothing would happen, and by the way would you like some coffee? Remigio tells her he knows how much she loves Juan, but she should adjust to the way he is and learn to have confidence in him.

Back at Fully's, Fully and Raul fold, It's Juan and Renato and Juan wins the first hand. After more tense card playing, Juan wins again, and then Ren takes the next one.

Leo is drinking and pacing in her room. Clemencia enters and Leo yells at her to get out of her house especially since she quit. Clem says she didn't come because she wanted to but because she had to ask her a question. How could she treat her sister that way? Leo denies it, says it isn't true that she shut MdR up for all those years. She tries to blame Arcadio, but Clem doesn't buy it she says Arca was just a dog who followed her orders. You could have been a nice girl, but you have turned into a murderer! Leo looks shocked, Clem says because now I know you poisened Costanza. Leo drops her wine glass.

Rodrigo is pacing in his bathrobe in his room repeating Maria Del Rosario to himself, the only true love of his life. He observes that the lives of MdR and Regina and Leo and Aimee are similar (funny he should notice now). Regi and MdR had intense love, but in contrast Leo and Aimee never knew true love. He tells himself, of course, he must look for Regina and find MdR, he must look for her.

We go back to the tense card game, lots of money on the table. Ren has dealt and asks how many cards people want. Raul thinks he has won and puts his cards down, but Juan has a better hand (pobre Raul). Ren wins the next hand - Raul is looking more and more dismayed and worried but he's not twitching.

Regi is sitting in the hut thinking about what Remigio said and feeling okay about it. In walks Aimee, saying she doesn't understand how Regi can live in a place like this. Regi asks her what she is doing here? I'm your sister and wanted to visit you and see with my own eyes how you are living. Regi says it may not have many comforts but it is my house and I am very happy with my husband. Aimee sarcastically says, your husband, you say it like it is a proper marriage. Regis says because it is, Juan is mine and I am his. Aimee tries again, and says it is proper in name only. Regi says nope, you're wrong, we are husband and wife in more than just name, we are husband and wife, totally, with all that, that means. Aimee is seething with jealousy and Regi looks sweet and happy - I love it!!

Servando and dressmaker are awfully friendly but I think he said something about it going according to plan, and she said yes Servando. Fully is still thinking he refuses to believe Eloisa has betrayed him, especially with that imbecil Federico. Servando and the dressmaker must have made it up for money. Eloisa is a lady and she loves me - as she she simulates a kiss from across the card table. Raul comments on how loving Fully’s wife is, and Fully says yes I love her, and Eloisa says and I love you, mi amor. Juan talks about how he and his primo hermano are married to such wonderful, beautiful virtuous women. Renato says I don't know why you have to talk about our private lives. Let's concentrate on the game. Juan says you're right. Ren says speaking of women and puts down some cards, (must be queens) he has won this hand. Raul says it's not our lucky night, Fulgencio. But Fully says the night is long, and Juan says and luck can change as can women.

Aimee doesn't believe Regina that she and Juan are lovers. Regi tries to explain it again, but Aimee’s denial is monumental and she doesn't believe her. She says Regi is just saying it to make her angry.

The doorbell rings during the poker game and Fully says who can that be? Eloisa goes to answer the door. Guess who? Feddy comes in and Juan says I trust such a gentleman as yourself won't be offended by my presence. I think Fed is a little taken aback by that. Fully is watching every move between Feddy and Eloisa intensely. Eloisa is pouring champagne for Fed and Fully is distracted from the game. We have another moment where Raul thinks he has won and puts his cards down, only to be beaten by Juan, again. (Couldn't they let him win once?)

Back at the hut Aimee is still trying to tell Regina that Juan really loves her instead. But Regi tells Aimee Juan loves her, with his soul, real love, he only desired Aimee. He and Regi have it all.

Back at the cards, Fulgencio says the boys need more champagne and Eloisa says she will get it, but he insists that Fed pour champagne for everyone at the table. Fed does as he is told, and when he pours Renato's from the left, Fully corrects him and tells him to pour it on the right. Eloisa is watching this with a worried look on her face. Fulgencio then goes even further and insists Feddy shine his shoes with his handkerchief. Again, he tells Fed to get the toes as well, both feet, doing everything he can to humiliate him. Feddy has to do it of course, but he tells himself Fully will soon be dead, he will get his revenge for this humiliation. The other guys keep playing but they are uncomfortable and confused about what is going on as Feddy is under the table shining Fully’s shoes. Eloisa looks horrified, but when Fully looks at her and smiles lovingly she has to smile back.

Back to Aimee and Regi, Aimee is still going on about how only the strong and audacious succeed in life and that she, Regi, is neither one of these. That Juan needs a woman like that at his side, and that a woman's heart can't be won by force. Regina says he didn't win my heart by force, he won it with tenderness. She tells Aimee she knows a Juan that Aimee could never even imagine, and that they are very happy together. Aimee then says they won't be happy for long because Renato has prepared something that will separate them forever, para siempre! Dun dun dun.

Ivy, thanks so much for your recap! I'll be back.

Thanks for the great recap Ivy. I haven't been able to watch many of the episodes but am trying to catch up now that we are in ultimas semanas.

Ivy: I laughed out loud at the title - I knew what followed would be excellent, and so it was!

Your summary was so descriptive and very well written. When watching last night, I thought it was rather uneventful but after reading all the interesting tidbits you wrote, I realized a lot more happened than was apparant in the wee hours of last night! :)

Poor Raul!"We have another moment where Raul thinks he has won and puts his cards down, only to be beaten by Juan, again. (Couldn't they let him win once?)" Exactly what I thought!

Wasn't Regi's sweet, sincere declaration that she is Juan's wife in every sense of the word delicious?? For once, Aimee was impactada and utterly devoid of any smirk or satisfaction. Excellent!

I also enjoyed "Juan talks about how he and his primo hermano are married to such wonderful, beautiful virtuous women". Juan certainly rubbed salt in that wound, didn't he?

Oh my. As you noted Ivy, Fed as "Shoe Shine Boy" was utterly humiliating. If Eloisa has any intuition, it's kicked into high gear and her alarm is going off loudly and clearly! I thought Renato and Juan did a fairly good job of trying to ignore the situation but poor Raul looked terribly embarrassed!

So, amigas, where IS Arcadio???

Ivy, thanks for reap! The waterfall scene sounded lovely. Hopefully Gabe and Jimena are one couple that has all their problems behind them and can now be happy. Still can't see how that fake annulment papers will figure into separating Juan and Regi. Surely everyone who sees their love will guess it's a forgery. Aimee is so spiteful against Regi, it's hard to believe they are sisters. I would of gone into great detail to her about Juan's lovemaking and tell Aimee that now he has a real woman and not a whore.

Especially if Regina comes up embarazada. Plus, couldn't Juan and Reggie just go back to the notary or church and get married again? (especially if Regina comes up embarazada).

Oh, I would LURVE to see Aimee's face when Regina's inevitable pregnancy is revealed. Tee hee!

Aimee is so spiteful against Regi, it's hard to believe they are sisters. I would of gone into great detail to her about Juan's lovemaking and tell Aimee that now he has a real woman and not a whore.

I would have told Aimee, Juan has it all. I have your face and your body but unlike you, I'm faithful, loyal and love Juan with all my heart. We truly have it all. (This goes back to earlier in the show when Aimee told Regina they have the same face but Aimee is more of a woman than Regina ever will be).

And Rod's just now figuring out that Regina is sweet and good (like MdR) and Aimee is rotten and nasty (like Leona)?

Fulgencio made Federico his biotch last night. LOL!! Pouring champagne, shining shoes...LOL

Clemenica, why you stoopid? Going to Leo's house and telling her you know all about her poisoning Constanza? Don't you think if she locked up MdR, killed Constanza and threw Juan away in the woods she'd do something to you? And her role in the murder of Dr. Miranda the First still has yet to be revealed.

Thanks, Ivy, for that detailed recap and great title. Let me just say the word that kept going through my head every time Juan was on the screen...SHOULDERS. Thanks, I had to get that out. Also, I'm glad that my question from yesterday about Juan's mansion was answered. Lucky that his tux was still hanging in his closet. Watching Feddy groveling beneath the card table polishing Fugly's shoes with his hanky was very satisfying. I especially liked the way Ren and Juan hardly noticed because they were too caught up in their own hatred for each other. I've been to card parties, but never one like that one...very tense....and nothing to do with either cards or party. How will Fugly punish Feddy and El? Will Servando get the contract to dispose of them both or just Feddy ? I'm still confused about Rennie's plan to have Juan and Reggie's marriage annulled. Doesn't Reggie just have to say, ''That's not my signature , and I want to stay married to Mighty Joe Juan''????

Well...on a day where I couldn't feel any worse (But that's another story), I really looked forward to the big scene between Gabriel and Jimena. What I was treated to was 8 seconds of...none of the good stuff. Despite that seeing it on Univision is much clearer (Cause of the HD?) than Youtube and I actually saw Jimena shed a tear in the process...This wasn't just a chop job, this was a BLOODY CENSORSHIP MASSACRE!

Yeah, I understand that the original scene had too much skin (?) among other things, but still...

Like someone said recently, "We know where babies come from, but that doesn't mean we can't find out more." (To that extent.)

Que lastima...they're such a wonderful couple. And we'll always have Youtube. :-)

Thanks for the great detailed recap Ivy. I was a little lost through Regina's and Aimee's conversation. Your details cleared it up for me. Thanks!

Interesting at the card party Juan begins shedding layers and rolling up his sleeves. Did they check their weapons at the door? Does only Fully have his walking stick/weapon.

I was wondering if Regina will ever get to see the Juan's other property or is she destined to live in the casita.

Thanks again Ivy, mucho appreciated!

Bernadette

Thanks for the recap Ivy. It was great reading the Reggie/Aimee conversation and seeing Reggie sweetly say he's mine. HA!

And now that Aimee told Regina about Ren's plan, I am eagerly awaiting Reggie confronting Ren (please slap him, please).

Diana - Orca should show up soon and it will be interesting b/c I don't think he's not going to help Leo. All someone has to do is give him some money and he'll sing like a canary and take down Rod too.

Anon 10:23 - yes it is interesting Rod made the links b/t Leo/Aimee and Regina/MdR. Does that mean he'll apologize for treating his good daughter like dirt as Leo treated her sister? Probably not.

I too am wondering if Fully will only kill Fed or both Fed and Eloise. Can't wait until tonight.

Susanlynn and Karen: Interesting question and comments as to whether Fully will kill both Fed and Eloisa or only Fed.

Hmmm. Fed is definitely toast. Fully could have just as easily selected Eloisa to shine his shoes, although it was definitely more humiliating for Fed to do it.

I can't recall Fully ever showing mercy. He might decide to "spare" Eloisa but subjugate her to servant status, to be there only to do his bidding. He is cruel enough to lock her away, to never taste freedom again. For Eloisa, who cherishes her ability to come and go as she pleases and with whom she pleases, it might be a fate comparable to death.

Diana

Thanks Ivy for the recap. I loved the showdown between Regina and Aimee. I loved how sweetly Regina let Aimee know that she and Juan are husband and wife in every sense of the word. Of course, Aimee doesn't want to believe it because Juan loves only her. I'm glad Regina corrected her by stating that Juan only desired Aimee but he loves Regina with all his soul. So Gabe and Jimena made love amongst the techicolor waterfalls. One minute they were wet and nude, the next minute they were dry and clothed, only to be wet and nude again. Bad editing there. Also Uni edited the love scene. I haven't seen the unedited version to see what all was edited out. LOL at Fully humiliating Fed in front of Juan, Renato, Raul, and Eloisa. That was indeed an uncomfortable moment but funny at the same time. I think Fully is now believing Servando that his lovely wife and friend have betrayed them. I'd hate to be in their shoes. Loved Clemenica confronting Leo about her murderous past and her ill treatment of her sister. Rod wants to find Regina after realizing she and MdR are more alike whereas Aimee and Leo are two peas in a pod. Uh oh. Looking forward to tonight's show and the continued poker game at Fully's.

Maybe Regina can dedicate this song to Aimee:

Thank you Ivy for the recap.

I loved the exchange between the sisters Regi and Aimee. I thought for sure Regi would have the last laugh but nooooo, Aimee has to open her mouth and hint at what treachery Ren has planned for Regi and Juan.

Interesting poker game - Juan and Ren exchanged dealing out the cards; I noticed that when Juan dealt, he won; when Ren dealt the cards, he won. No wonder Raul was worried about not winning any rounds.

Jody :)

I hadn't noticed that they each won when they dealt, hmm. One thing I didn't comment on was that Juan was very obvious about not drinking. When he came in he declined champagne and asked for soda instead, and when Fed was pouring he didn't want any. So he was more clear-headed than the rest of them.

I, too, loved the exchange between Aimee and Regi, Aimee is just over the top in her bitchiness and her denial, ai yai yai. It's good that she told Regi about what Ren is doing, though, because that way she'll already be expecting it and hopefully will tell Juan Ren is up to something.

Thanks Ivy. Enjoyed immensely. Also loved the title. I think that Renato will wind up betting the finca in that poker game, not a spoiler that is just what I think, and losing it all. What a sight it would be to see Aimee out on the street and see her sister in Juan's fine house that Regina doesn't even know about yet.

Leonarda seems to be losing it and I want something really bad to happen to her. Where is Arcadio when you need him.

Loved the replay of Jimena and Gabe. Want her to be united with her real family soon.

Dear Ivy, thank you for the recap!

Great episode, I loved the alpha-male war between the two Montes de Penguins at Fully's gambling den, I mean, home, and I completely adore Reggie for kicking Aimee's ass. She almost poked out her own eye with her fan.

Summary of the Regina-Aimee conversation:

And here's the (little bit surreal and muy exaggerated) Jimena-Gabriel love scene:

Thank you Ivy! When this episode was over I said, "What was that?" It seemed like not much was going on, so I knew the action had to be in the dialogue. Thanks so much for making it all so clear!

Diana, the episode I saw had 10 minutes of Gabe and Jimena - everything from Friday and more. I personally, am a bit tired of them so for me it went on f-o-r-e-v-e-r. And it was badly edited. I noticed the 'wet', 'dry', 'wet' scenes and chopped up music too. And there was a boatload of commercials too!

I'm betting Fully is waiting to see Eloisa's reaction to treating Feddy like a servant. If she laughs it off he'll figure there is nothing between them. But if she gets defensive, "why did you treat him that way?", he'll know the letter is true.

Wow. Rod is actually thinking outside his box. And now that Clemencia has told Leo she knows about Constanza, Leo has got to know the jig is up. Leo's going to get desperate now.

So, if Arcadio returns, then what about Rosenda and Magda/Marlena, her mother? Things could get very dicey.

And, I have wondered about the fact that Rosenda's child is Rodrigo's, so that is a little weird, too.

I really hope we get to see the Rocky Point house at some point.

There actually is a Rocky Point. That's what Tucsonans call it anyway; the Spanish name is Puerto Peñasco. It's on the Gulf of California in Sonora.

Ivy,

Great job an wonderful title. I love how you captured the mood of the encounter between Aimee and Regina and the various tensions of the card game. I really like old Fulgencio. At his very sweetest he's downright scary. I pity Eloisa and Fed.

I mentioned this this past weekend. All of Gabe's special effects were great, but for his best, somehow he arranged for clouds to go behind the moon. Quite a feat. Here's the replay. It's at 3:20 on this clip. Wow!

Carlos

Ivy, that was a super recap, thanks. It was wonderful that Regina was able to assure Aimee that she and Juan were indeed husband and wife and that their love was real.
I've been baffled by Aimee and now Eloisa wearing gloves inside their homes, especially when Eloisa was doing some kind of stitchery while wearing satin gloves. WTH??
La Paloma

Thanks, Ivy, I really needed your details of the many conversations taking place and your title gave me a big laugh.

They hacked so much out of the Jimena/Gabe scene (thanks Aribeth for the uncut version) that Uni played 2 music videos to fill in the time before the next novela. They could have given us a preview but maybe there won't be any more since we're in ultimas semanas.

Thanks, Carlos, for the link. Ha, ha....I thought sometime seemed strange when I saw that scene before but didn't realize the clouds were behind the moon. Since we are in the Land of Rainbow Colored Waterfalls, I guess anything is possible. To heck with science anyway. What possible use could it be to the writers and us. Just kidding.

GinCA

Hi!!!! What's the title of the song that plays during the jimena and Gabriel scene? Thanx
