La Fea Más Bella #91-92 11/16/10 Happy and sour.
Read Amanda’s original recap which covers Cap’s 91 to 92. Then come back here to discuss it.
Paula asked me to post this link to dialog translations for these episodes.
Huge thanks to Pata for today's screen shots and observations:
Fernandos mission was to convince both Lety and Marcia not to break up with him. When he is in the car with Lety he has a very happy face after she agrees not to break up with him. He is more than happy to kiss her.
The first two pictures demonstrate that:
While talking to Marcia, he has a very sour face when agrees to not break up and a less content face when they kiss.
Capitulo 92.
Read Julie’s original recap which covers Cap’s 91 to 92. Then come back here to discuss it.

Julie, my hat goes off to you. You did 30 cap's straight, complete recaps, and then you continued with partial duty for the duration. I bellyache about double caps, but I'm only doing scene lists, not anything like a complete recap. ZOWIE!
I love this phase of the story - I really wish they'd slow down the episodes. But there's still no end in sight to the double-caps that I know of. I haven't seen a new telenovela advertised in weeks, and the next one will probably replace STuD which just went into to ultimas semanas. Maybe the plan really is to do double-caps for the duration. Yeesh.
I didn't get Fern's behavior. He acted like a childish idiot. I can't believe a successful mujeriego would ever act like that with a woman he was so attracted to. Even Omar, at his most idiotic with women, wouldn't have been so gauche and unsophisticated. And I don't think it had to do with Paty's celebrity. After all, I'm sure Fern is in a business where he meets celebrities all the time. (My father was an NBC staff director in NYC when I was growing up and believe me you become quite blase about celebrities after awhile.) I guess they had to make Fern's behavior so overt for the sake of the story. but I didn't buy it...
About yesterday's discussion of the drum and hats; I doubt if they have a continuity person as they do on films. Having seen what comes, I've noticed other "mistakes" in terms of the setting and props.
In any case, it is so much fun to tune into this again (even if its only from time to time) and to have a place to share opinions. Thanks Julie and Paula and Marivert (I don't know if I have the name right) for making it possible.
I like how when ever Lety is writing in her diary we always see Fernando as well. Nice paralles.
The cuartel are just irritating. I have stopped including them when I write the disks.
Sylvia thanks for posting these, And Amanda thanks for the recaps.
Pata, after watching today's recap those pictures are even more amusing than they were before. Your observations about Lety vs. Marcia are perfect.
The thing I found the most interesting in this episode was how Paty Manterola seemed so much more normal and sane compared to all the employees at Conceptos. We could tell by her face that she also thought they were a little nuts.
Once again Omar surprised me when he saw how upset Lery was and asked her what was wrong. Liked him much more than Fern today. Actually in any other novel you would think he was the hero's BFF who had a secret crush on the heroine.
