Capitulo 299. Read the team’s original recap.

In the board meeting, Fern gives Aldo the receipt for the final loan payment. The company is back in his family’s hands. MamaT gushes that today Fernando recovers the presidency. Fern refuses the throne and laterals it to Marcia, but not before teasing Ariel. Fern can’t stay because Conceptos will always remind him of what he lost forever. Lety squirms.

Luigi runs the shoot in Monterrey. A little boy asks Sara to adopt him.

Lety presents Marcia the new badge Lety made for her. Marcia thanks Lety for teaching her to value something other than looks and social class. She asks forgiveness for how badly she treated Lety.

Fern tells Marta that he can’t stay, without Lety. He’d die of sadness. He asks her to book a flight to Rio. He leaves the building with his toy car and poseable model, and Lety follows. He couldn’t bear to say goodbye to her because he couldn’t stop himself from shouting...
I WANT ALL CONCEPTOS TO KNOW THAT I LOVE LETICIA PADILLA SOLIS!
Lety squirms again. All that matters to him is that she will be happy. He tells her goodbye forever. She panics and hugs him.

Tom regrets that he let Ali go. Paco knows where to find her.

Fern leaves. Aldo steps up and tells her to read Fern’s diary. He knows Fern tells on every page how much he loves her, because he and Aldo love with equal intensity. She reads Fernando’s pain and wants to stop because it hurts her. Aldo says the way she hugged Fernando means more than she realizes. They both know Fern loves her, but how does she feel?

Lety doesn’t want to answer, because she’s engaged to Aldo, but he pushes her to face the truth. Finally she says the words we’ve been waiting for, for 50 episodes.
"Estoy profundamente enamorada de Don Fernando." She asks to cancel the engagement and he agrees under one condition, that she is immensely happy with Fernando. Lety turns toward where she last saw Fern. When she turns back, Aldo is gone. She shouts like Fern did, that she wants everyone to know that she loves Fernando.

Tom finds Ali at the cemetery, crying to her father’s grave. She says she’s been talking to him by phone for 10 years. She could never accept that she was alone with no one to take care of her. But now Tom loves her, and she loves Tom so much. Tom steps up and says, “I was right. You’re a little girl with no one to take care of you.” He asks for the chance to take care of her. She says, “I love you.” Ali tells him they’re expecting.

Lety finds Marcia at Fern’s apartment. Lety says she loves Fern. Aldo got her to decide, because on her own, she wouldn’t have dared to cancel the wedding. Marcia says Lety waited too long (don’t we know it!). Fern left a note. He can’t break free of the pain. He’s leaving Mexico. He won’t return until he can smile again, and that won’t happen unless he can forget Leticia. He tells Marcia to enjoy life, for the both of them.

Marta tells Lety that Fern is catching a flight to Rio. Lety gets to the airport too late. He already took off. Marta calls a friend with the airline. The pilot announces to the cabin, “I have a message for Fernando Mendiola. Leticia is not going to marry Aldo. Leticia loves you, Don Fernando.” Fern jumps out of his seat and wants to jump out of the plane.

Lety is crying in the hotel room. “You’re a fool, Lety. You let him go. Why did he leave? He was here with me.” Lety remembers their first night together. She puts her hand on the bed, and Fernando’s hand covers it.
F: Do you think I’m only a memory, Lety?
L: Yes, just a memory.
F: (He kisses her hand.) That kiss too?
L: Then, Don Fernando, love isn’t a dream? You’re really here with me?
F: I don’t know why I felt that you’d be here. Where you and I made love the first time.
L: Yes. I remember. It was my birthday. And today is your birthday!
F: Really? Lety, I want to be with you the rest of my days, the rest of my life. That is, if you accept me.
L: Yes, Don Fernando. I accept.
Kisses. Serious kisses. This is not GSNAK. They continue the conversation with their eyes.

Capitulo 300.

In the morning at Casa Padilla, Fern pops out from behind Lety, gives his MamaJ a huge hug, and says, “If you permit, and even if you don’t permit, I’m going to marry your daughter!” Lety tells Pop it’s what she wants with all her soul. Pop gives his permission and Fern swings him around the room. Fern tells what happened. The pilot announced that Lety still loves him. Fern wanted to jump out, but the other passengers convinced the pilot to take Fern back to DF.

Ali begs Tom to bring churros for her cravings. She calls him the most wonderful man on earth, and she means it. He leaves and she says, “I can’t live without him.”



Fern’s parents tell the Padillas their plans for a huge wedding. Erasmo nixes that since he’s the one paying for it. Fern suggests to Lety that they use the cathedral in Monterrey since everyone’s already there.







Fern arrives at the church and jokes that Aldo got sick and asked Fern to fill in for him. Fern thanks Marta for making it possible. Marcia says she’s very happy to see the couple together. Fern is in a hurry to start the wedding (so Lety doesn’t have time to change her mind again?).

Aldo saves a boy from drowning and revives him with mouth-to-mouth. A choir sings Bach. In church, Fernando (ADOS: Attention Deficit.. Oooh! Shiney!) notices that a painting of an angel has Aldo’s face. Then the words every TN finale needs, “You may kiss the bride.” Ricardo Montañer sings Besame, but in my head I hear From This Moment, Shania Twain. [snip]
From this moment as long as I live I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give from this moment on
You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above

Outside, Fernando promises to love Lety for his whole life. Lety promises Fern to make him happy for her whole life.
L: Lo amo, Don Fernando.
F: Don Fernando?
L: Te amo, Fernando.
F: Yo te amo, Lety.
The song in my head switches to Gladys Knight, You're the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me.

They go from the church, to a car parade through Monterrey, to a concert, to the wedding night, interspersed with scenes from the concert.

Capitulo 297A. Read Amanda’s original recap.

Lety descends the steps in her wedding dress. Pop cries and apologizes because he realized he caused Lety many problems by overprotecting her and not letting her grow up. Next they’re at the wedding. Why are Fernando’s parents there???

Fernando mourns outside, then he interrupts the ceremony. He tells Aldo that Lety has to marry him. He begs Lety to marry him because she loves him. Four men drag him out shouting “I love you!” The ceremony finishes. Fern breaks free and runs inside again. Seeing the kiss, he screams, “NOOO!!!” and goes to pieces. Aldo kisses Lety again, but she pushes away, saying, “No, no, no.” It was all a dream.

Luigi walks his parents out of the hospital and introduces them to his new novio, Esteban.




Lety whines that if she tells her dream, it won’t come true. She tells about the wedding and Fern likes that. She tells that Fern interrupted the wedding and he says she should’ve kept that to herself. But then he works to convince her that dreams reflect deep desires. He later adds that it’s desires that we don’t dare admit to in our conscience minds. It’s not wise to get married with uncertainties.

Aldo asks why Carmina told Lety she was moving in with Aldo. Carmina figured this was her opportunity.

Alicia cuts the line at the passport office and thinks they should give her a new passport right now.

Fern tells Omar his theory about dreams. Omar wants Fern to interpret his dream. Caro walks in and overhears Fern say that Caro should convince Lety to cancel the wedding because she has doubts.

Marcia type-chats with her secret admirer and debates whether to accept the feo with beautiful words, or Octavio who asked her out. She picks Octavio.

Caro asks Lety if maybe she’s having doubts, and maybe she really loves Fern.

Ali cons Celso into impersonating her doctor again, to call Tom. Tom sees it and realizes the treatment was all a lie. Ali tells her belly how wonderful Tom is, but they deserve to be wealthy. It occurs to Tom that Ali stole the $1M. Then he gets the call that Ali put a plane ticket on his credit card. He says, “She WAS the love of my life.”

Lety tries hard to tell Aldo about her dream, but he won’t let her talk. Fern interrupts them with Lety’s tea, and mentions her dream, oopsie!

Tom tells Ali he knows she stoke the money. Ariel walks in with proof that the transfer was from his computer. Tom tells Ariel that he, Tom, stole the money.

Capitulo 298A. Read Alma’s original recap.

The police arrive to arrest Tom. He and Lety sneak out. Ali hears it, cries, and says, “I need to pay.” She weeps, “He’ll never forgive me. The worst thing that could happen is if Tom stops loving me.” She puts the money back in his account, and figures now there won’t be any problems.

Fern asks Aldo if he’s certain that Lety wants to marry him. The boys scrap.

Tom dresses in Lety’s fea clothes. Lety and Tom run out of the building, chased by the cops, then Aldo and Fern, then Alicia. Neither Fern nor Aldo have a car so they borrow two motorcycles. Ali gets Paco to take her. Follow that car! A high speed chase ensues.


Ali tells Paco, “I stole $1M. Tom sacrificed himself to save me. He took the blame. He’s a marvelous man, and I love him so much. The worst part is, I didn’t realize it until now. I realized that Tom is more important than all the money in the world. But maybe it’s too late. Just as I’m expecting his child.”

Lety realizes Ali stole the money. She tells Tom, “I told you so” (bless her heart). She’ll have to denounce Ali (the first step in a prosecution). At Paco’s prompting, Ali calls Ariel and tells him the money is in the account; he should inform the police.

Ali finds them. She tells the police the money is in the account. She tries to explain to Tom and he coldly says, “You and I have nothing to talk about.” She tries to explain. He says, “All I ever wanted was to make you happy. You have no idea how much I regret the day I fell in love with you.”

Tom and Lety see the boys on bikes and follow them. The boys are horsing around and go over a cliff.

Tom tells Aldo, as much as he loves Alicia, it’s better if he stays away from her forever. Aldo suggests that maybe she has changed, after all, she returned the money. Tom briefly mentions that there’s more to it than that. He chokes out the words, “I should separate from my chiquita.”

Octavio is surprised that Marcia has some depth behind that pretty face. She admits that she has another suitor; she doesn’t want to hide anything. Octavio reveals that he’s the e-suitor, and Marcia thinks he’s making a fool of her. No, he wanted to make sure she cared about more than looks. She says she’s not willing to rush into anything; they need to take things slowly.

Fern tells his diary that when Lety marries, his life will end because all hope will be gone.

Alicia says her papi doesn’t love her anymore. She regrets that she didn’t recognize her love for Tom until it was too late. She cries, “I love you so much.”

Tom weeps in the hall. He gave all he had, but it wasn’t enough. Love was just a fantasy.

Fern walks into Marcia’s office as Octavio is just about to kiss her (payback for all her badly timed phone calls!). He plays the protective Mexican big brother, warning Octavio to treat her right, then telling about her wonderful qualities.



Tom comes home. Ali gives him the jewelry and car keys that she bought with his money. She asks for a hug but his only response is a stone face. She thanks him for loving her, even though she didn’t deserve it. The moment she’s out the door, Tom crumbles to the floor. He bawls, “If you had loved me even a little bit, I swear I would’ve forgiven you.”

Capitulo 295A. Read k-Fuego’s original recap.

1. Jax gives Lety the first payment for CCA, a check for $1M. Ali hears it and speculates that with that money she could buy jewelry and shoes for life, and not need her husband.

2. Luigi’s father, Luis, is in the vortex, but Luigi refuses to see him. Luis tells Irma Luigi’s mother is dying and wants to see him for the last time. Irma tells Luigi.

3. Humberto tells Fernando how proud he is of his son. Even Ariel recognizes that he did a good job. Amid the success, Fern sees Lety’s sadness. He goes to the cave and calls Aldo’s publisher to get his contact info. He speaks to Carmina, so he knows she lied about moving in with Aldo.

4. Lety tells Fern she’s very proud of him. He says he has recovered his old confidence. Today could be the happiest day in his life, but he’s still missing half of himself. He takes the plunge and asks Lety to marry him. He once thought he could do everything, but he failed at everything. He lost the company, the respect of his family, and Lety. Now he’s recovered two out of three, and all that’s missing is Lety. He says, “The time has arrived that we can be happy together. Marry me, okay?” She says, “I can’t.” He asks her forgiveness and runs to the cave.

5. Fern tells Julieta what happened. He shouldn’t have asked because he knows she loves Aldo, but he can’t stop loving her. Still, he knows he has to help her be happy with Aldo.

6. Luigi tells Lety someone needs to see him but he’s afraid. Lety offers to go with him.

7. Ali drools over the $1M check.

Capitulo 295B. Read Alma’s original recap.

8. Marcia tells the cuartel she got another love note from her secret admirer. She requests his picture. It’s a very scary-looking guy.

9. Luigi sees Luis at the hospital. Luis tries to put the past to rest; the important thing is Luigi’s mother. But Luigi insists on airing all his frustrations against his father. The doctor comes and says mama’s critical. Her heart won’t hold up much longer.

10. Lety asks God to help Lui’s mom. Mama asks Lui’s forgiveness for not protecting him from Luis, nor changing Luis’s mind. She says she accepts Luigi as he is. Lui says if she accepts him, he can accept others as they are. Moments later she is miraculously cured.

11. Alicia breaks into the Conceptos account from Tom’s computer.

12. Lety asks the mirror who she is. Luigi now sees Lety’s luminescence and he loves (querer) her. He wants to do something for her because she freed him form the rancor with his parents. He does a makeover and asks what she’ll do now. Will she hide again like she did with Aurora, or will she make herself Aurora?

Capitulo 296A. Read Julie’s original recap.

1. Presumably, Ali’s papi gives her the green light to embezzle from Conceptos. She makes an airline reservation on Tom’s credit card.


2. Fern goes to Acapulco and tells Aldo that Lety played Aurora because of her love for Aldo. Aldo asserts that it was so she could be with Fernando. Aldo says Lety loves Fern. Fern says no, they’re just good friends. He proposed and she said no. All he wants is for her to be happy, and that means being with Aldo. Aldo observes that Fern loves Lety very much. He invites Fern to be his compadre in the opening.

3. The Conceptos clan presents New Lety to her parents. Pop is impressed. Lety says she’s learned that anyone can attain beauty. To prove it, Lety gives Mama a plucking.

4. Tom finds Ali packing. She says she has to travel for a treatment. She seems to almost regret what she’s doing to him and invites him to sleep with her. He decides not to, for the sake of their baby.

5. Fernando cries over his diary and says he was a fool the day he let Lety go. He would’ve sworn they’d end up together, but that’s not what happened. Meanwhile Aldo remembers Fernando saying that Lety’s happiness is at Aldo’s side. Aldo says, “The last word still hasn’t been said.”

6. Fernando loves looking at Lety’s new look, and Lety enjoys it. Aldo walks in and breaks the news that Fern went looking for him. Aldo says they should get married right away, and Lety agrees. Fern is anxious to get Aldo paid so he and Lety can leave, because the longer she’s there the more it hurts.

7. Alicia makes the bank transfer. She cries for real when she leaves Tomás. Soon after, Tom reports to Lety that $1M is missing. Then he tells the board. Ariel says he’s going to jail. Aldo and Fern practice to be Pips, Region 4 (see the pictures at the top). Tom says someone made the transfer from his computer.

8. Alicia is turned back at the airport because her passport is expired. She faints. The nurse informs her that she’s pregnant, and she faints again. She goes back to the apartment. Tom and Ali cry a lot.

9. A dichoso (so-called) computer salesman wants to see Marcia, but in her office he admits he wants to ask her out. His name is Octavio. Marcia can’t decide between him and the phantom e-mailer.

10. Lety admits that she wants to marry Aldo as soon as possible. Fern admits that he wants the same because he quit dreaming that he has any chance with her anymore.

1. The police arrest Efren for unpaid child support.

2. Caro asks Omar why he’s mad. He saw the man leaving her house in the morning, talking about the incredible night. Caro starts laughing. She wanted to make her home nice, for when they live together, and she blew a circuit. Omar hitches up his calzones and stammers that he loves her.

3. The laison for DIF Nuevo Leon asks Lety to head the project and she can get married in the cathedral in Monterrey. Lety marvels, “The fea can marry the love of her life in the cathedral?” Luigi tells Lety he won’t go to Monterrey, for personal reasons. Lety leaves and Irma counsels Luigi, “Isn’t it time to forgive them?” Luigi says he can’t.

4. Lety talks to Aldo in her grown-up voice. No puede ser! Marcia gets another note from her secret admirer.

5. Fern tells Lety that he and Aurora must go to a dinner tonight. Jax is bringing a European media magnate, and Jax needs Aurora there to convince him. Lety promised to go out with Aldo. Fernando respects her “no” and says he’ll convince Jax to do something else. What a man! Lety points out that this is the only way Aldo can get back his restaurant, and she knows it’s the way for Fern to recover his father’s respect (Lety thinks about Fern’s needs!!!). She decides Lety and Aurora will go to the same restaurant.

6. Lola takes Efrain food, etc. in jail. His first words are, “I’m here because you sued me.” Lola says he’s there because he didn’t provide for his children. Jaz arrives so Lola leaves. She’s so worried for him that she suggests he put his assets in her name (por qué no pones lo tuyo a mi nombre?), so Lola doesn’t get them. Efren says, “All you care about is my money. You never loved me, did you?” She says that of course it was only for the money, because he’s fat and disgusting.

7. Fern, Lety, and Tom practice quick changes at the Restaurant of Five Names.*

8. That night Lety arrives at the restaurant with Aldo but soon changes to Aurora then Lety then Aurora then Lety then Aurora then.. Walter is impressed and agrees to the deal. Jax tells Fern Conceptos will make megabucks. Lety is so drunk that she arrives at Aldo’s table as Auroralety.

Capitulo 294A. Read 5ft Latina’s original recap.

1. Aldo stares at Auroralety. Jax is very impressed. Fernando gives Aldo a look that says, “You hurt her, you’re dead!” Aldo says there cannot be any justification for what he sees. Lety tries to explain.

2. Efren is released from jail. He tells Lola that he won’t be paying Jasmín’s expenses, so he can easily pay child support. Lola makes sure he recognizes that the hussy caused him to neglect care of his children. He takes her out and begs to get back together. She says his children need him but she doesn’t.

3. Jax tells Fern and Tom that it was a spactacular night. The TV show premires tomorrow, and he’s sure, after tonight, that it will be a grand success.

4. Aldo says, roughly: I would’ve accepted it if you had told me at the beginning, but not now. You trusted Fern and not me. You’re sad because you deceived herself. You tried to make someone suffer. You’re lost. You don’t know what you want in life. You’re running to and fro, but not working at making yourself better. But you’ve found what you really want – Fernando Mendiola. I saw the kiss. You had to disguise yourself to kiss him? I’m profoundly disappointed. He leaves despite Lety’s protests.

5. Fern comforts Lety and says he and Tom will take care of her. Tom has to go. Fern will take Lety home.

6. Tom finds Ali on the phone with her papi. He takes the phone then says, “He hung up.” Ali cries, “He always hangs up. He always leaves her alone. He always goes. It’s always the same.” Tom now knows Alicia better. Read the rest of the scene in the original recap.

7. Fern tries to cheer up Lety, but she’s sure Aldo is gone for good. Fern says she can count on him for anything. He doesn’t want to leave her alone like that, but she sends him home. What a man!

Capitulo 294B. Read Amanda’s original recap.

8. Carmina is very eager to comfort Aldo. She’s available for anything he needs. He says he feels like his life ended. Lety never stopped loving Fernando.

9. Marcia informs Fern that Omar moved in with Caro. Fern tells Marcia that he wants to win Lety back, and something happened that could be a sign. It could be his opportunity and he doesn’t want to miss it.

10. The morning scandal rag announces that Aurora is Lety. She cries that she’s the fea that no one can love. Fern says, “I fell in love with you like crazy, and I still love you just as much.”

11. The cuartel reads the story, and Irma reminds them of the way Fern and Auroralety kissed for the show. She says those two love each other like crazy.

12. Carmina barges in and tells Lety that Aldo left for Acapulco. Lety hurt him so much that he can’t stand to be in the same city as her, and he never wants to see her again. Lety says she needs to hear that from Aldo, not Carmina. Carmina says today she’s going to move in with Aldo. Fern drags her out of the office.



13. Fern tells Lety he needs to know what she’s thinking (because he has to decide whether to fight to win her back), and to him Aldo looks like he’s throwing a tantrum.

14. Erasmo comes in next, yelling at Lety that it’s disgraceful and there can be no excuse. Fern stands up to him and says he doesn’t have the right to judge her. Lety did it with good intentions. Erasmo yells, “What right do you have?” He answers, “Because I love your daughter!”

15. Omar sees the paper and is quaking. Caro worries how he’ll react. Marcia said he didn’t love Aurora. Now his pride is hurt because he was going out with a fea. It’s bad for his image. Luigi freaks out too.

16. Omar thanks Lety. Pop asks why. Omar says he was horrible to Lety and made her suffer terribly. But as Aurora she taught him a lesson. He has learned to value women, and he fell in love with a wonderful woman. Pop forgives Lety, as Fern watches lovingly.

17. Next Fern reams out Jax. Jax says they’ll make big bucks. Fern yells that he cares much more about people than about companies. Jax says Fern needs to be cold to be successful. Fern says he was before, but he lost the woman who he loves and who made him happy. He yells, “Didn’t you realize you could ruin her life? Lety doesn’t deserve what you’ve done to her.”

18. Everyone in Lety’s office hears him. MamaJ says he’s incredible. Irma says his love for Lety made him that way. Erasmo says Aldo loves her more. The Fern Team Captains say Fern is defending Lety, and Aldo is nowhere to be found. Lety says he got mad at her and left town. Fern shoos them out to watch the screening of the show.

Capitulo 291.

1. Irma, Juana and Marta alert Fernando that Lety’s free. Irma knows Lety can only be happy by Fern’s side. Sara and Lola warn Aldo that Lety canceled the wedding. He should hurry so Fern doesn’t swoop in.

2. Aldo says Lety loves him and she’s just throwing a tantrum right now, so he’ll wait until she calms down. “I know she loves me. If she decides to be with Fern, that means she doesn’t really love me. And there is nothing one can do against that.” (How’s that for double-speak?) Then I think he says, “Everything that one loves, he loves, and I love Lety.” (Geesh! Even little candy hearts are more profound than that!)

3. Fernando almost seizes the opportunity but decides that declaring his intentions ten minutes after Lety broke her engagement might be rushing things a tad. Aldo painfully ponders, “My love for you is immense, as big as the ocean.”

4. MamaJ asks Fern if an engaged man can have a another woman as a friend? That’s what Aldo said about the picture. Fern says it would normally indicate infidelity, but Aldo isn’t normal. It pains him to admit Lety loves Aldo, and they should help them reconcile. Mama is very moved by his sacrifice.

5. MamaJ and Fern find Aldo and Carmina embracing. Before they can say anything, Aldo says, “Nothing I say can convince you.” Carmina tries to explain, but Aldo tells her it’s pointless. Carmina says she told Aldo to explain PV to Lety, but he didn’t want to. Aldo tells MamaJ that if he had any doubts about his love for Lety, he’d scram. He’s ready to dedicate his whole life to making her happy.

6. Lola tells the cuartel Efren hasn’t made any court-ordered payments, and the court will take action.



7. Fern brings Lety the flowers someone sent. Lety runs to thank Aldo, but he says he didn’t send them. The card reads, “The love that distrusts is not love, and I need yours to continue living. –Aldo.” Aldo isn’t happy. But he says Fern did it so they’d be happy.

8. Jaimito says he doesn’t want to live with his birth father. He wants to stay with Saimon.

9. Fern tells Lety what Carmina said. He has resigned himself to his loss. He sent the flowers because all he wants is for Lety to be happy. And she loves Aldo, right?

10. Lety hears Aldo tell Girardo he can’t recover his restaurant. He doesn’t have the cash because they can’t complete the TV show. Lety says Fern convinced her that Aldo isn’t involved with Carmina. Aldo does not look happy at this turn of events.

1. Rather than being happy that the love of his life has come back, Aldo scolds Lety for not believing him. He says his priority is her happiness. But he’s pensive when she hugs him.




2. Jax calls Fern to demand that Aurora return. Just then, Aurora calls him to say she’s ready to return. Fern wonders why, just as Aldo walks in and demands the remaining $1.5M of the debt. Fern puts it together. He says they can restart filming today.

3. Several days later, Saimon and Paula get married. Fern tells Omar he’s an idiot for moping about Caro, when she’s never mentioned another man. He needs to confront her rather than spend his life not knowing.

4. Lety tells Caro the TV show is finished, no one discovered Aurora, and she’ll never again appear (8 times).

5. Ali says loudly that their wedding wasn’t low class like this one. Paula screeches that it’s better to have a basic wedding than to be driven to bankruptcy by trying to show off (presumir). Efren and Jaz arrive, and Lola screeches at him for letting his children starve.

6. Fern hands Lety his jacket while he carries sodas. The smell reminds her of when she fell in love. His wallet falls out. She finds the Auroralety picture and knows that he knows. As she tells Tom, Fern walks in and asks what’s up. See the transcript. I LOVE this scene! What a man! He tells her that he protected her secret.



7. She’s almost crying, so he tries seven ways to Sunday to cheer her up. They laugh about Lety and Aurora signing the contract, and when they almost caught her when they lost the keys. She gets sad again because she was so mean to Omar, so Fern changes the subject again. He speculates what would happen if Omar knew Aurora was Lety, and he makes her laugh again. Aldo arrives and jealously drags her away.




8. Fern and Lety lock Caro and Omar in the room. Caro charges that he’s a mujeriego incapable of a serious relationship.

9. Tom gives the newlyweds a honeymoon in Acapulco. They drive away. The police arrive to arrest Efren.

Spanish Lesson. Lety Discovers What Fernando Discovered.

L: You’re right. It’s very strange that DonF hasn’t said anything. Why didn’t he tell everyone?
Tom: Well, you should ask him.
L: But how can I ask him? Am I going to say, “DonF, you need to explain to me..”
F: (Fernando walks in.) What? What do you want me to explain to you? (She hides the wallet behind her back.) What do you have in your hand? Why are you hiding it? What’s up? The right hand? (empty) The left hand? (empty) It’s magic!
Tom: C’mon, Lety. (Moves DonF in front of Lety) Show him. (Fern looks apprehensive. Lety holds up Fern’s wallet. Smiles nervously.)
L: There’s 500 pesos.
F: What? Do you need money? (Fern is broke but he opens his wallet to give her money.)
L: No, no, no. (In his wallet, Fern realizes the Aurora/Lety photo is missing. He panics. Lety holds out the picture. Fern snickers nervously.)
F: What’s so strange about drawing glasses on a photo?
L: Not to mention XG and braces. (Tom excuses himself.) Tell me the truth, DonF. Do you already know that.. the photo, with braces and glasses drawn in..
F: Oh! You think that I know that .. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know.
L: Enough, DonF. Do you know or don’t you? You know, don’t you?
F: Yes, Aurora Doña Lety.
L: Don Fernando… I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t know how to apologize.

F: (in his compassionate voice) Look, Doña Lety. Forget about it. You have nothing to explain, because I understand very well why you did it.
L: You do??
F: Yes. It wasn’t long ago that I realized it, but I kept the secret so it wouldn’t provoke a serious problem with Domensolin (and Lety doesn’t flinch).
L: Ay, DonF. Muchas grácias. Grácias de verdad. (She hugs him. His face expresses not euphoria like times past, but responsible concern. He kisses her hair with intensity, then gently separates them.)
F: That’s not all. You’re my boss. I should protect you because that’s what you did when you were my assistant, right? Ya. Tranquila. (He knows she’s sad; he does everything he can think of to cheer her up, and panics when she almost starts crying. The Prime Directive kicks in.) Enough of that. Tell me something. How did you do it, the day of the contract signing with Jacques? You appeared as Aurora, then Lety, then Aurora. Think about that instead. How did you do it? (He’s laughing, try to get her to laugh).
L: I don’t want to remember. It was the worst day of my life.

1. Fern tells Lety he’ll defend her wedding because he only wants her happiness, and he returns to the cave. She’s so moved that she almost calls after him. Later he gazes and tells her she’s much prettier than she wants to seem.

2. Saimon shows off his technology degree. He asks for a promotion and they refuse. The cuartel begs, and Lety says they’ll need a new messenger.

3. Omar takes Caro flowers, but he sees a man exiting her house, talking about an explosive night. The man was the electrician. Omar tells Fern that Caro has a novio.

4. A man follows Luigi and Marcia at the mall. I’ll call him Señor Zapatos.


5. Ali tells Marcia about last night. She’s unsettled when Marcia calls it love. She says she had no other option. Marcia says marriage means having relations, and she warns Ali that if this continues, she’s asking for serious problems. Marcia asks if Ali took precautions, and Ali asks, “For what?”


6. Carmina takes Aldo diving. Lety calls Aldo and Carmina picks up. Lety whimpers jealously, and Fern steps in. He wants to know if Aldo is making her jealous and angry.

7. Caro thanks Omar for the necklace. He remembers the man at her house and says the necklace means nothing. She gives it back to him and leaves. She’s angry at herself for thinking Omar had changed.

8. Fernando taunts Lety about Aurora to make her squirm. Later he taunts Omar, getting him to declare that Lety is ugly and Aurora is gorgeous. He says to himself that Omar can’t see the essence of beauty, but he, Fernando, has learned to.

9. Marcia gets a love note from a secret admirer. He invites her to exchange e-mails for a time. Ali warns that he might be a murderer.

10. Fern and Lety meet Saimon downstairs to unveil his new position, computer coordinator, which appears to be management level. Saimon asks Paula to marry him.

1. Paula says yes. Saimon faints. Fernando and Lety exchange googoo eyes TWICE.

2. Alicia has fond memories of last night in spite of herself. But she tells Tom that the doctor says they must abstain for 3 months if they want to make babies.

3. Paula gets a call from Jaimito’s dad (Jaimote? Jaimón?), inviting them to live with him in LA. She has to choose between love and money.

4. Jax visits, and Fern and Lety team up. Fern taunts Lety about Aurora. Fern says Jax doesn’t need Aurora to finish the project. Jax leaves, and Lety frets that they need Aurora. Fern very compassionately tells her some things are much more important. He goes to the cave and says to himself, “Things like your relationship with Aldo. I know it would hurt you very much if Aldo felt you deceived him. So I’ll button my lip.”

5. Los tres hermanos tristes go out. Fern reminds Saimon that drinking doesn’t fix anything. Later los tres hermanos borachos stumble out of the bar and fall into the bushes. Camil tries hard to not laugh.




6. Paula tells Jaimito the news and asks him to choose. He just wants to be with her. Paula thinks he wants to be with his birth father, and Jaimito thinks she wants to move to LA. Paula tells Saimon they’re leaving.



7. Aldo shows the Padillas yachts in PV, and Lety is at best bored. Then they see the photo of Aldo with Carmina. Aldo gives an explanation for why she was in PV (a fact Lety already knew), but not for why he’s wrapped around her. Julieta drags Erasmo upstairs to make sure he doesn’t interfere. Aldo tells Lety he didn’t do anything to apologize for, and he hopes she’s in a better mood tomorrow.

8. Fernando counsels Marcia to not answer her admirer. Fern thinks it’s dangerous and he worries for her.

9. Fern finds Lety crying at her desk, and she confirms that Aldo went to PV with Carmina. El Fiero storms into Aldo’s office and flies across the desk, ready to pulverize him for hurting Lety. But all they do is have a choke and slap fight. Lety stops them. Fern says he won’t let Aldo make Lety suffer. To prove his love and respect for Lety, Aldo grabs her and drags her to him as his prize.

10. Lety tells the cuartel she’s going to cancel the wedding.
