El Mundo de Telemundo: Week of December 6

Aurora
The most powerful presence in this novela isn’t the title character, but the master manipulator, Vanesa Miller. If Aurora reentered the world of the warm-blooded with a vague notion of settling old scores, it is Vanesa who has been busy rewriting their personal history and inventing scores for Aurora to settle.
Vanesa is one of the cleverest villains I’ve seen. She gets people to believe improbable versions of events by having the same story repeated to her victim by various sources. Aurora, for example, hears that Lorenzo was just a fortune-hunter who never had real feelings for her. He and Natalia were accomplices and lovers. The story is told by Vanesa and then, with added twists of the knife, is repeated by Natalia and Aurora’s own father Gustavo. Ultimately, Aurora accepts it as true.
Other half-truths and lies:
Aurora believes that Martín is only after her money (False. He is really in love with her and she is breaking his heart.)
Aurora believes that Natalia was Lorenzo’s accomplice and lover 20 years ago. (False. Natalia’s sin was one of omission. She knew that Lorenzo and Aurora truly loved one another. She knew Aurora had nothing to do with Federico. And yet, succumbing to Vanesa’s pressure, she kept silent. She also played footsie with Gustavo years ago at a time when he was married but she was not. So maybe Nina is actually Gustavo’s daughter and Aurora’s half-sister?)
Almost everyone believes that Blanca is the daughter of Gustavo and Inés Ponce de León. (False: She is Aurora and Lorenzo’s daughter).
Blanca now believes that Lorenzo Lobos is her father (true) and Inés is her mother. (False: Aurora is her mother.)
Almost everyone believes that Beta-Aurora is Alpha-Aurora’s daughter. The only ones who know the truth are: Gustavo, Inés, Roque, Dra Elizabeth, Dr. Parker and Vanesa.
Almost everyone believes the lie concocted by Gustavo and Inés that Federico is Beta-Aurora’s father.
And now a resumé of Friday’s episode:
In a bar:
When Natalia tells Federico about Aurora and Lorenzo’s almost roll in the hay, he is Shocked. Shocked. Why that’s incest! Natalia tells him not to exaggerate. And then she reflects that perhaps Aurora isn’t acting out of love but out of vengeance for her mother’s sake: that Natalia ended up with Lorenzo, that Aurora’s mother is dead and she, Natalia, is alive.
In Aurora’s apartment:
Blanca gets home just as Aurora is about to leave for the Sleeping Beauty audition. Blanca makes a surprising announcement:
Yo no quiero que mi papá sea Lorenzo Lobos.
(I don’t want my father to be Lorenzo Lobos.)
At Lorenzo’s Dance Studio:
Lorenzo is leaving a phone message for Natalia begging for a chance to explain. Enter Martín. Quería desearte buena suerte (I wanted to wish you good luck) he says. And I wanted to talk about Aurora.
Blanca explains to Aurora that if she had been raised as a Lobos, she would have been … oh the horror… poor! She imagines getting up early in the morning, managing her clothes and hair on a tight budget. Aurora muses:
¿Tú solamente ves el lado material?
(You only see the material side?)
Is there another side? retorts Blanca cheerfully. She doesn’t want Gustavo to disinherit her, nor does she want to trade her fancy apellido “Ponce de León” for the vulgar “Lobos” name.
Martín and Lorenzo continue their tense conversation. Lorenzo is going to Spain to leave the way free for Martín to be with Aurora. But Martín rejects the idea of being picked just because he’s available and Lorenzo is not. He wants Aurora to choose to be with him. Then he leaves, refusing to give his father a goodbye hug. As he is leaving, he gets a text message from Nina.
At the Cryonic Clinic:
Gustavo, with a penchant for understatement, says:
Las cosas están complicando!
(Things are getting complicated.)
Let’s see, Elizabeth has murdered Eduardo, Julia Castillo, her doctor friend at the hospital… the police investigation is likely to lead to their door…
But as Dra Elizabeth sees it, their problem has a name: Dr. Williams. Speak of the devil! The bearded young doctor who earlier recognized Julia’s photo on tv pokes his head into Gustavo’s office and asks to talk to them.
At the School of the Arts:
Blanca continues to riff on the horror of being born a Ponce de León and then finding out your father is just an ordinary dancer, not even famous. (Un bailarín común y corriente... un mediocre) And a disconcerted Aurora says: Nunca imaginaba que fueras tan… así. (I never imagined that you were so… like that.)
The instructor who will judge the dance-off between Aurora and Nina arrives. The ladies sharpen their claws.
Vanesa’s apartment:
If Natalia is looking for sympathy, she’s in the wrong place.
Young Dr. Williams turns out to be a Company Man. He rejects Gustavo’s cash. You can count on me, on my loyalty, he tells Gus and Eli. Pase lo que pase. (Whatever may happen.)
Aurora transacts a lot of business while she waits for the audition to begin:
First Federico shows up and tells her she can’t have a relationship with Lorenzo because he’s her father. She laughs unpleasantly. I can see you never really knew my mother, she tells him. She was very sexual and she had many lovers – among them, my father.
Then Vanesa reports back by phone to Aurora: Natalia told her everything but the color of Aurora’s underwear when she caught her and Lorenzo together. Black, Aurora tells Vanesa. Sexy, no?
Aurora puts Vanesa on ‘hold’ to take Lorenzo’s call.
Line 2: Lorenzo’s not sure about going to Madrid…
Line 1: Vanesa repeats the lie about Martín. She says Natalia told her that he is determined to do what his father couldn’t; he’d do anything to get your fortune.
Line 2: Lorenzo begs Aurora not to tell Martín they were together. He’d never forgive his father and besides, he doesn’t want to hurt him.
And then Martín comes along and vengeful Aurora says, with feigned sympathy: I guess you know. And she hugs Martín. She continues:
Natalia nos cachó a punto de hacer el amor en mi departamento.
(Natalia caught us just about to make love in my apartment.)
No, no lo sabía (No, I didn’t know) says Martín, barely breathing. And, he continues, I don’t want to know anything about you or what happens in your bed.
The audition has begun. Nina takes her turn first and the instructor watches her performance approvingly.
Meanwhile, Natalia continues confiding in Vanesa. She’s not sure Nina should be in The School of the Arts or that she should be living in Vanesa’s apartment. She doesn’t belong in that world. But Vanesa wants to talk about Lorenzo and Natalia obliges.
Sometimes, she admits, I think I’m getting what I deserve. The oath (juramento) you forced me to take and the betrayal…
Vanesa interrupts her. Which betrayal do you mean? Are you talking about the oath? The fact that you ended up with her great love? Or that you slept with Aurora’s father?
Back at the audition, Aurora takes her turn and the instructor is so excited, he is bouncing in his seat.
Martín and Nina meet in the school hallway. She wants him to see the Director about a possible job there. She promises she won’t bother him. It’s not you I’m avoiding, he tells her, it’s Aurora.
Natalia shows up a Lorenzo’s studio. He tries to explain what happened with Aurora. She isn’t his lover but she does have this strange power over him… Anyway, he has decided to go to Madrid alone. Perfect, says Natalia bitterly. So Aurora wins.
Now Nina and Aurora dance side by side and we see the instructor wince at a clumsy move that Nina makes. The instructor announces his decision: Aurora will dance the role of Sleeping Beauty!
Martín phones Lorenzo and reviles him for being with Aurora. Who told you? asks Lorenzo. It was Aurora herself, says Martín.
Aurora stands behind Lorenzo in his studio as he screams in anguish before his mirror: Leave me alone! Get out of my life!
I’m right here, she says. Say it to my face.
He rails at her: What are you trying to do, drive me crazy? Separate me from my son? Is this what you want? And he grabs her roughly. Is he kissing her? Biting her? Her mouth is bleeding and she tells him to stop, he’s hurting her. He pushes her away:
¡Vete! ¡Lárgate! Ya no sé quién eres, ya no sé quién soy!
(Go! Get out of here! I don’t know who you are anymore, I don’t know who I am!)
Wow. Is this the same person Nina is talking about to her friends Vicki and Blanca? My father is the sweetest man in the world, she tells them. Once, when the family went camping – Nina was about 5 – she dropped her teddy bear (osito de peluche) in the river. Her mother wanted to just buy a new one but her father spent the whole night looking for it. He came home soaked, dirty and exhausted. But he found the bear! Unfortunately, he caught a cold (agarró un resfriado) from his cold, wet night and had to spend the rest of the weekend in the tent.
Blanca looks wistful as she listens to this story about Lorenzo. Maybe she’s not such a material girl after all?
Martín doesn’t waste any time, does he? He escorts the young Cryonics doctor -- the one who had her eye on him from the beginning – into his shabby apartment. We learn her name: Liliana. And they agree to drop the ‘usted’. Pretty soon, they are dropping their pants too.
At Aurora’s splendid Fifth Avenue apartment, Inés and Roque are tending Aurora’s wounds. He hurt you! says Inés. No, says Aurora, I’m the one who hurt him. They made fun of the old Aurora because she was too good; but no one is going to laugh at the new Aurora!
When Blanca comes home, Aurora is surprised to learn that Blanca and Inés have made up. Blanca makes it clear that she still confuses material goods with love. Inés proved her love by reactivating her credit cards. When she walks out of the room, Aurora turns to Inés and asks:
¿No le pudieron inculcar otros valores?
(Couldn’t you teach her other values)
We did what we could, says Inés. And about tomorrow – are you going to let Lorenzo leave?
At the Lobos apartment:
Natalia listens to Gustavo’s message: I didn’t come to see you because I didn’t want to suffer losing you again.
Lorenzo is puzzled when César hauls in a large suitcase. Natalia explains that she and César will be going with him to Spain. To start a new life together. Then Nina arrives to say her farewells and make peace with the family. Family hug.
At the airport:
Aurora, in a blue baseball cap, is looking somewhat furtive. She thinks:
Natalia, vine a despedirme de ti y de tu traición.
(Natalia, I’ve come to say goodbye to you and your betrayal.)
The Lobos family – Lorenzo, Natalia and César – walk along pulling their suitcases behind them.
And Aurora, (thinking that Lorenzo is going to Madrid alone, I suppose), reflects:
Tu partida solitaria es el placer de mi venganza.
(Your solitary departure is the pleasure of my vengeance.)
Back at Martín’s shabby digs:
Dra Liliana gets out of bed and steps on the remote, turning on the TV by accident. It’s a news report about Julia Castillo. Her body shows traces of cryonic treatment. There will be an investigation of all the local cryonic facilities! While Martín and Liliana are disturbed to hear this, she admits that when the news about the bloodless body first emerged, she did think about the clinic.
Blanca’s pesadilla:
She is at home in their apartment when Aurora calls her with dreadful news:
Es horrible lo que pasó! El avión se cayó y no hubo sobrevivientes. Lorenzo se murió!
Something horrible has happened! The plane crashed and there were no survivors. Lorenzo is dead!
A shaken Blanca wakes up, realizes Aurora isn’t in the apartment, and calls her on her cell. Aurora answers that she is taking a walk but Blanca recognizes the airport sounds in the background.
At the Cryonic Clinic:
Inés admits to Gustavo that she was Eduardo’s lover but she wasn’t the one who killed him. She confessed falsely so he would think she had done something important. (Interesting. Like a cat offering its owner a dead, bloody bird as a gift). Just as she and Gustavo embrace, Dra Elizabeth barges in and asks tartly: Are you congratulating Gustavo on his upcoming wedding? Don’t you want to hug me too?
And back at the airport, the Lobos family walks together. The blue-capped Aurora follows at a discreet distance. But it is Blanca who runs up and shouts:
¡Lorenzo! ¡No te vayas papá!
(Lorenzo! Daddy, don’t go!)
Previews: Blanca’s nightmare becomes a reality. The plane carrying the Lobos family is reported to have crashed en route to Madrid!
No survivors have been found!

Alguien te Mira
Mauricio tells Matilde that two victims, Rocío Lynch and María Gracia Carpenter, were Benja’s lovers. He says Eva was killed because she was getting close to the killer. If Matilde is unwilling to help Mauricio in his investigation, he’ll have to go to Tatiana and tell her everything he knows about Benjamin.
Rodrigo’s boss, Amanda, offers him his job back, but he feels he isn’t ready yet.
Pedro Pablo fantasizes about Lola and Lucía being together in his office, both great with child, admiring one another’s bellies.
At the catering office, Matilde ruminates about what Mauricio told her. And when Lola asks her to react to Tatiana’s announcement that she and Benja are getting divorced, she says perhaps it’s for the best. Lola says it’s all the fault of some little tramp! But it’s a problem that can be fixed. Tati isn’t buying that. For her, the marriage is over. Still, she is resolved to find out who Benja’s lover is and make her pay! Camila listens to all this in silence.
The model, Valeria, is on a photo shoot and is shown using cocaine.
Rodrigo recalls Piedad’s angry interrogation about his relationship with the group leader, Daniela.
Back at the catering place, Lola and Matilde continue talking about marriage and divorce while Camila sits apart and cries. She tells Tati she’s not feeling well and leaves for home.
Rodrigo continues his Piedad reverie; he envisions the scene where she pushes him away and tells him she can’t trust him. Then he gets on his bike and rides off.
At the police station, Luisa gets a report that they are following Benja and he is at his sister-in-law’s apartment house.
Inside that apartment house, Camila is begging Benja not to divorce Tati.
Luisa’s boss Angel asks her to accompany him on a visit.
At Rodrigo’s apartment: Julián arrives. He tells Rodrigo that his attentions to Daniela are upsetting Piedad. Rodrigo counterattacks: You’re dying of rage, aren’t you? he says. No matter what you do, you can’t stop Piedad’s feelings for me. And I’ll always be a part of her life because we’re having a child together.
Benja and Camila continue their conversation. We’re fine the way we are, she tells him. He denies that the divorce is because of Camila. She shouldn’t feel guilty because the rift in the marriage was something long coming.
And at the catering place, Tati confides to Matilde that she feels worthless (desvalorizada). Matilde, recalling her conversation with Mauricio, tries to get Tati to talk about what happened.
At the rehab center, Daniela remarks to Rodrigo that Piedad is obviously very much in love with him. But we’re not together, he tells Daniela. Yes, she acknowledges, but the two of you have a child on the way.
As the clinic is closing up for the evening, Julián invites Piedad to go out with him but she declines and prepares to leave.
Luisa and Angel are waiting for Julián. (So this is the visit Angel was talking about.) This isn’t an interrogation, they tell him. They just want to talk to him about Eva. Julián tells them that the last time he saw Eva was at the clinic reception. He gave her directions to the spot where the heart (sent to Benja) was buried. And the morning Eva disappeared, Julián was at home without witness.
Angel shows him the photo of the dress Eva was posed in. Julián says he has never seen it before.
Luisa tells Julián that the one thing they know about the killer is that he is a doctor because of the skills needed to remove the victims’ hearts and then suture the wounds.
Tati visits Camila to thank her for her concern. They will always be sisters, she says and she will always love her.
The rehab group session is over. Daniela remarks that she is concerned because Valeria didn’t show up. She and Rodrigo decide to go for coffee.
At Pedro Pablo’s house, Lola tells Benja that she is pregnant. She scolds him for his plan to divorce Tati and his involvement with Camila, which he angrily denies.
Matilde has a nightmare: She is in bed when she hears someone opening her door. She hears voices and finds Benja, Julián, Rodrigo and Piedad in her livingroom. Piedad, her mouth painted bright red, pulls out a knife.
Emilio, Matilde’s little boy, hears his mother scream and rushes into the bedroom to comfort her.
Piedad, now definitely in stalker mode, drives by Rodrigo’s building and sees a light is on in his apartment.
Inside that apartment, Daniela is flirting pretty aggressively with Rodrigo. As Piedad is getting out of her car, Daniela and Rodrigo are kissing. And the kiss seems to go on forever.

At Aurora’s splendid Fifth Avenue apartment, Inés and Roque are tending Aurora’s wounds. He hurt you! says Inés. No, says Aurora, I’m the one who hurt him. They made fun of the old Aurora because she was too good; but no one is going to laugh at the new Aurora!
When Blanca comes home, Aurora is surprised to learn that Blanca and Inés have made up. Blanca makes it clear that she still confuses material goods with love. Inés proved her love by reactivating her credit cards. When she walks out of the room, Aurora turns to Inés and asks:

At the Lobos apartment:
Natalia listens to Gustavo’s message: I didn’t come to see you because I didn’t want to suffer losing you again.
Lorenzo is puzzled when César hauls in a large suitcase. Natalia explains that she and César will be going with him to Spain. To start a new life together. Then Nina arrives to say her farewells and make peace with the family. Family hug.
At the airport:
Aurora, in a blue baseball cap, is looking somewhat furtive. She thinks:
Natalia, vine a despedirme de ti y de tu traición.
(Natalia, I’ve come to say goodbye to you and your betrayal.)
The Lobos family – Lorenzo, Natalia and César – walk along pulling their suitcases behind them.
And Aurora, (thinking that Lorenzo is going to Madrid alone, I suppose), reflects:
Tu partida solitaria es el placer de mi venganza.
(Your solitary departure is the pleasure of my vengeance.)
Back at Martín’s shabby digs:
Dra Liliana gets out of bed and steps on the remote, turning on the TV by accident. It’s a news report about Julia Castillo. Her body shows traces of cryonic treatment. There will be an investigation of all the local cryonic facilities! While Martín and Liliana are disturbed to hear this, she admits that when the news about the bloodless body first emerged, she did think about the clinic.
Blanca’s pesadilla:
She is at home in their apartment when Aurora calls her with dreadful news:
Es horrible lo que pasó! El avión se cayó y no hubo sobrevivientes. Lorenzo se murió!
Something horrible has happened! The plane crashed and there were no survivors. Lorenzo is dead!
A shaken Blanca wakes up, realizes Aurora isn’t in the apartment, and calls her on her cell. Aurora answers that she is taking a walk but Blanca recognizes the airport sounds in the background.
At the Cryonic Clinic:
Inés admits to Gustavo that she was Eduardo’s lover but she wasn’t the one who killed him. She confessed falsely so he would think she had done something important. (Interesting. Like a cat offering its owner a dead, bloody bird as a gift). Just as she and Gustavo embrace, Dra Elizabeth barges in and asks tartly: Are you congratulating Gustavo on his upcoming wedding? Don’t you want to hug me too?
And back at the airport, the Lobos family walks together. The blue-capped Aurora follows at a discreet distance. But it is Blanca who runs up and shouts:
¡Lorenzo! ¡No te vayas papá!
(Lorenzo! Daddy, don’t go!)
Previews: Blanca’s nightmare becomes a reality. The plane carrying the Lobos family is reported to have crashed en route to Madrid!
No survivors have been found!

Mauricio tells Matilde that two victims, Rocío Lynch and María Gracia Carpenter, were Benja’s lovers. He says Eva was killed because she was getting close to the killer. If Matilde is unwilling to help Mauricio in his investigation, he’ll have to go to Tatiana and tell her everything he knows about Benjamin.
Rodrigo’s boss, Amanda, offers him his job back, but he feels he isn’t ready yet.
Pedro Pablo fantasizes about Lola and Lucía being together in his office, both great with child, admiring one another’s bellies.
At the catering office, Matilde ruminates about what Mauricio told her. And when Lola asks her to react to Tatiana’s announcement that she and Benja are getting divorced, she says perhaps it’s for the best. Lola says it’s all the fault of some little tramp! But it’s a problem that can be fixed. Tati isn’t buying that. For her, the marriage is over. Still, she is resolved to find out who Benja’s lover is and make her pay! Camila listens to all this in silence.
The model, Valeria, is on a photo shoot and is shown using cocaine.
Rodrigo recalls Piedad’s angry interrogation about his relationship with the group leader, Daniela.
Back at the catering place, Lola and Matilde continue talking about marriage and divorce while Camila sits apart and cries. She tells Tati she’s not feeling well and leaves for home.
Rodrigo continues his Piedad reverie; he envisions the scene where she pushes him away and tells him she can’t trust him. Then he gets on his bike and rides off.
At the police station, Luisa gets a report that they are following Benja and he is at his sister-in-law’s apartment house.
Inside that apartment house, Camila is begging Benja not to divorce Tati.
Luisa’s boss Angel asks her to accompany him on a visit.
At Rodrigo’s apartment: Julián arrives. He tells Rodrigo that his attentions to Daniela are upsetting Piedad. Rodrigo counterattacks: You’re dying of rage, aren’t you? he says. No matter what you do, you can’t stop Piedad’s feelings for me. And I’ll always be a part of her life because we’re having a child together.
Benja and Camila continue their conversation. We’re fine the way we are, she tells him. He denies that the divorce is because of Camila. She shouldn’t feel guilty because the rift in the marriage was something long coming.
And at the catering place, Tati confides to Matilde that she feels worthless (desvalorizada). Matilde, recalling her conversation with Mauricio, tries to get Tati to talk about what happened.
At the rehab center, Daniela remarks to Rodrigo that Piedad is obviously very much in love with him. But we’re not together, he tells Daniela. Yes, she acknowledges, but the two of you have a child on the way.
As the clinic is closing up for the evening, Julián invites Piedad to go out with him but she declines and prepares to leave.
Luisa and Angel are waiting for Julián. (So this is the visit Angel was talking about.) This isn’t an interrogation, they tell him. They just want to talk to him about Eva. Julián tells them that the last time he saw Eva was at the clinic reception. He gave her directions to the spot where the heart (sent to Benja) was buried. And the morning Eva disappeared, Julián was at home without witness.
Angel shows him the photo of the dress Eva was posed in. Julián says he has never seen it before.
Luisa tells Julián that the one thing they know about the killer is that he is a doctor because of the skills needed to remove the victims’ hearts and then suture the wounds.
Tati visits Camila to thank her for her concern. They will always be sisters, she says and she will always love her.
The rehab group session is over. Daniela remarks that she is concerned because Valeria didn’t show up. She and Rodrigo decide to go for coffee.
At Pedro Pablo’s house, Lola tells Benja that she is pregnant. She scolds him for his plan to divorce Tati and his involvement with Camila, which he angrily denies.
Matilde has a nightmare: She is in bed when she hears someone opening her door. She hears voices and finds Benja, Julián, Rodrigo and Piedad in her livingroom. Piedad, her mouth painted bright red, pulls out a knife.
Emilio, Matilde’s little boy, hears his mother scream and rushes into the bedroom to comfort her.
Piedad, now definitely in stalker mode, drives by Rodrigo’s building and sees a light is on in his apartment.
Inside that apartment, Daniela is flirting pretty aggressively with Rodrigo. As Piedad is getting out of her car, Daniela and Rodrigo are kissing. And the kiss seems to go on forever.

Michel pays his respects to Andrea over the loss of her father, as Milady comes down stairs and sees them she quickly walks by them as Michel looks at her.Andrea ask to speak to him somewhere different where they can talk alone.
Rebecca picks out what Dario will wear for his funeral with Walter watching she tells him how she wasn't the greatest wife to Dario.It's why he went to another woman she blames herself as Walter tells her she a great woman and not to say that it's not her fault.He ask her to think of it as Dario sacrificing himself because he wanted to save his daughter, that's how much love Dario had for her. Rebecca thinks him as she chastises him for continuing to call her senora she will be his sister in law soon so she ask for him to call her Rebecca.

Andrea talks with Michel how she feels and tells him she has been thinking about a lot of things these past few days and how much she cares about him alot and loves in her own way but not enough so she can't marry him. Michel agrees as Andrea looks like she wasn't expecting this answer as Michel goes on to tells her that a marriage between them would be a mistake since he's in love with someone else. Now Andrea who look like she had prepared a great i'm dumping you speech is really stunned as she says What!Michel tells her the reason why they're not together is the woman hasn't responded to him like he wants but he still in love with her.

The guy who determine that Kalima was dead took him to the morgue, as he checks other bodies.He makes fun of Kalima as making a racist Indian joke but alas Kalima makes him pay for that tasteless joke by grabbing him around his throat i don't we'll be seeing that guy anymore.Kalima calls for MC for betraying him.
Dulce walks through the cafeteria and is greeted by Butterfly and her gang.Butterfly blames her for ruining her plans as plans to get back at Dulce but Dulce over confident tells her don't worry i won't be here for long.Butterfly makes fun of her to her gang saying can you believe this she actually thinks she is getting out of here quickly?

Mauricio tries to convince Milady to give Clara a chance as Milady replies i'm not a fool. I understand if her father was very strict and all but there are other things and facts involved here that you don't know about that make it very hard for me to ever forgive her. Michel says wait a minute i know you don't love me either and that you're in love with another person too so why are you getting upset. But our irrational spoiled Princess drama queen goes on to say how could they both betray her like this? Michel ask her not to blame Milady.She claims the difference between them is that she was sincere to him as he has misled her.

Padre Aquas gives the service for Dario as his family gathers for him.
Elena talks about going to his funeral for tomorrow as Mauli tries again to get her to accept MC. As Mauli replies don't you get it either you comply to what he wants from you or you will die.You can't do anything if you're dead now can you?
Elena talks smack how she will never accept MC even if it means he kills her. All i can say how to this little speech then how come you didn't say that earlier when he threaten you to sign that paper huh?
Previews for Monday The family gathers for Dario burial as Elena shows up on the arm of MC the family looks at them in shock. Eduardo manages to tell Elena that her child didn't die and that MC had him kidnapped it was a plan made by him as a enraged Elena looks at MC. In their suv Elena has a gun pulled on a scared MC there's a struggle to get the gun.

1. I don't know if this has already been discussed, but it seems to me that Julian was sexually abused by his mother, which might explain why he is so crazy.
2. I am thinking that the next victim will be Daniela, who has told Rodrigo that she has children and they don't live ith her; that she lost them when she was on drugs. By the way, I don't know what a "monitor" is in a drug rehab, but it seems to me that Daniela's going after Rodrigo so aggressively did not seem appropriate given her role as group leader.

AURORA: When father and son become rivals over a woman it never ends well and who else thinks that Lorenzo et al got bumped from the ill-fated flight? To have them die now makes no sense.
I dearly hope that Aurora's dog doesn't start having cryonics-related health issues; that would be too sad. Especially since she's the only innocent in this whole story.

This is the impression i get from Aurora that everything so far is working according to Vanessa's plans she got gullible Aurora to believe her B.S. about Natalia and Lorenzo.Aurora decided to get even because Gustavo is also going along with Vanessa plans too so he told her the same thing.Lorenzo is upset because her actions our destroying his loving relationship with Martin.Martin is upset because he doesn't want the woman he loves to be with his father who is married to his step mom.
I get the feeling though that Aurora will end up Lorenzo because even though she's the same age near Martin her great love is Lorenzo. I believe Lorenzo will find out eventually about Natalia being with Gustavo.

On Alguien the dress Angel and Luisa showed Julian from the picture was that his mother's? If so that may come back to definitely haunt Julian.
I got the impression when Daniela visited Valeria at her photo shoot it wasn't to check up on her but to find out if she was interested in Rodrigo which she said she was. As Daniela told her that wouldn't be good for her at this time and that he had someone already.
I like also that Mauricio gave Matilde a ultimatum either help him or he'll go and tell Tatiana about Bneja's affairs himself. Whether she does or not remains to be seen.
Glad that Luisa is putting a tail on Benja i believe it's a matter of time before Tatiana finds out about all of his affairs too. Now who'll be the one to tell her i have no idea.

As for Alguien, it may not just be the black dress. What about the pearl necklace? We've seen Julian as a boy, and his mother was also wearing that necklace, I think. Maybe that can somehow be traced (maybe the necklace on Eva's corpse has an inscription?)

I get the feeling that he might be in love with Camila, but can't even admit that to her. At least Camila is having some remorse, which Benja doesn't have at all.

I agree with everyone that Daniela was waaaay out of line trying to jump Rodrigo that way. However, I don't know if I could restrain myself either - sitting on a sofa with Christian Meier. I've been nuts about him since Zorro. He's the main reason I watched this novela. He's been excellent throughout, doing a fine job playing an addict. Most of the time he's sad and troubled, but when he smiles, zowee!
I'm still not pleased with Tatiana. Her husband is a dog, all right, but her non-stop bitchiness towards everyone around her is hard to take.

As for Fantasma, I agree that Elena's signing over the hacienda to Montecristo was strange, since she was so defiant in many other ways. Once again, no witness is needed for this important real estate transaction, no notary, no one thinks it could be overturned because of duress. But it's good for the plot.
I tend to believe Dulce when she says she'll be out of jail soon. Somehow Montecristo or the mafia guys could have some pull. Butterfly was just a little too overconfident in menacing Dulce.
I love how Laura almost always wears bare midriff outfits. I think the reason she wasn't at Dario's funeral was that her bare-midriff mourning outfit was in the wash. :)

Random question re: EDFE...but could somebody explain exactly the backstory of Mauricio aka Milday's father?
I know he slept with Clara when she was very young (the flashbacks were hard to watch lol)...but who is he? Just some guy? How did he suddenly reappear around the Boda that never happened? Why and he and Clara so "friendly" now considering what happened back then? (it has something to do with Clara's father???) What does he do for a living? How did Chaparro know he was Milady's biological papi?

Mauricio comes from a rich and powerful family i can't remember what they said he does for a living i maybe off he might be a writer i remember him talking to Padre Aquas about a book. So like i said i could be wrong about that i don't know.
He had a affair with Clara it seemed like he was married at the time and had a family but he seduced young Clara which produced Milady. Clara's father as has been mentioned was very strict and didn't want his family's name being dragged through the dirt because of Clara's actions at the time.
Chapparro has known Mauricio's family for a long time i don't know if her family worked for theirs at one time or another but she was quite aware of the relationship between Mauricio and Clara which leads to me believe a close family friend of Mauricio's.
Clara was the one who ask Mauricio to attend Andrea's wedding she is still so desperate to keep Milady and Michel apart she's pulling out all of the stops. Anyway it was she who asked Padre Aquas to get in touch with Mauricio.I got the feeling that Mauricio has still a soft spot for Clara i don't know if he's still married, divorced or widowed but i hope he realizes how hurtful this woman has been to his daughter.

I guess it's good, plot wise, that the writers did what they did with the whole "we love each other but can't be together because we're siblings" plotline for M&M; but I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle "the end". On Alguien inappropiate Daniela is putting the moves on Rodrigo, as he tries to slow her down. Good luck with that guy she like a runaway freight train.Piedad is outside but having second thoughts on seeing Rodrigo now.Daniela aggressively moves onto Rodrigo who's put down his stop sign and is now a willing participant. Benja gets up to change, of course nagging Nellie follows him and tells him to get out. She tells him if they're separated then they shouldn't be living together any more.

Rodrigo apologizes to her as she gets off the phone for not able to give her what she wants.Daniela tells him not to worry about it but to fight for Piedad since he loves her so much.

Piedad comes in as Veronica gives her the message from Rodrigo she ask if she told him she was here. Veronica says no as Piedad says good just keep telling him that.
Daniela ask Julian if he's crazy and blind didn't he see her? Julian apologizes profusely to her asking if she all right he manages to calm her down with a lie he was talking on his cell phone and not really paying attention to the road. She forgives him as she tells him her name he tells her he's a Dr. and can look at her injury. He puts on the charm as she warms up to him he ask out her for a cup of coffee as she smiling accepts.

Lorenzo insists that he simply cannot be Blanca’s father. Someone must have deceived her. Natalia thinks it’s another one of Aurora’s dirty tricks. But César believes what Blanca says even if he doesn’t understand it.
The Lobos family walks off to catch their flight to Madrid. Blanca tearfully reproaches Aurora, who now shows her presence at the airport, for not coming to her defense.
Shortly after the plane takes off, we see it explode in a fiery ball in the sky. There are no survivors.
The family and friends grieve. Blanca bears the additional pain of losing her father before she had a chance to know him. She also feels as if she could have saved them if she had been more persuasive and convinced them not to get on the plane.
Gustavo, softened by sorrow, tells Elizabeth he and Natalia were lovers before Aurora’s death. And Natalia never asked him for anything. One day she simply disappeared from his life.
The shady young Dr. Williams is only too willing to conspire with Gustavo and Elizabeth to keep the secret of Julia Castillo. Dra Liliana smells a rat.
Martín is hired by the Academy as a dance instructor with the caveat: No hanky panky with the students.
The Lobos family along with Blanca, Ernesto and Alicia, wait for news at the family apartment. Blanca stumbles upon a gun hidden in César’s room.
Martín gets a call from a colleague at the Academy: Aurora asked for the keys and she is there now. He goes to her.
Meanwhile, Aurora is dancing alone in the empty school. She grows weak and falls to the ground. Martín finds her with blood coming from her eyes.
In Martín’s absence, the door to the apartment opens and Lorenzo, César and Natalia walk in. Without a scratch. Michel approaches Milady as she gets some coffee she ask him not to bother her as Andrea is already acting weird with her and she doesn't want her to suspect them. Michel grabs Milady and tells her that he loves her and what does she mean how Andrea is acting with her.
Milady can't quite describe it but what she's been saying to her, Michel gets upset upon hearing asking Milady what did Andrea say to her as Milady let's him know that Andrea has been acting serious and cold towards her for no reason.Michel lets slip he shouldn't have said anything to her as Milady realizes and ask him did he mention them to her? Yes responds Michel i told her everything.
Milady is upset with him asking how he could do that especially now with her losing her father and she's like a sister to her.Now she doesn't even want to talk to me it's all your fault Milady accuses him.

Chapparro threatens Dulce with Butterfly will be waiting for her once she gets out of solitary.She leaves her as a scared and frighten Dulce looks around her.
MC goes to the head of the mafia asking for help to get Dulce out as the head of the mafia tells MC again? MC says she knows a lot about me and if she opens her mouth up to the cops it will be inconvenient for us. As he is granted his wish wish, he is given the name of someone who can help him.

Dulce eats as Chapparro enters laughing at her having the nerve to call Margot her aunt and all the other crimes she has committed. Dulce says she isn't the only one who has committed a crime but so has Dario kidnapping her son.

Eduardo quickly tells Elena that her son is alive at first Elena doesn't believe him big shock there huh? Eduardo explains how MC with the help of crazy gemela robbed her of her child. Crazy gemela was never pregnant by him it was all a lie by MC and crazy gemela your child is alive he tells her again. MC impatiently calls Elena again telling her let's go now.Elena slowly turns and looks at him with growing anger.
Walking away from the burial with MC beside her she looks at him with great suspicion as he looks back at her not saying anything. He walks ahead of her as she remembers all of the times crazy gemela taunted her with being pregnant by Eduardo.

The family worries about the situation and Elena's safety as Eduardo assures them not to worry about the hacienda he'll take care of everything.
Elena can't pull the trigger as i'm sure the whole audience is upset as well. This is when you need Valentina Villalba instead of a soft Elena Lafe. Val would have shot all three and drove that suv to the nearest cliff pouring gasoline over every inch of it setting it on fire and putting it in drive. Not weakly getting of the suv and running off with no energy to parts unknown but easily recaptured. Yep this is when we need a Soy Tu Duena persona not a Soy Tu Estupida one big sigh!MC and his goons take Elena back as he tries to talk to her but she doesn't want to listen to anything he has to say to her.

Blu- Thanks for the recap of Alguien. I am so glad that Rod didn't go all the way with Daniela, and that Piedad did not catch them in a compromising position. He has enough of an uphill battle to win her trust. he doesn't need that added to the list of things he regrets.
Benja chickened out and did NOT tell the kids that he and Tati are separating. Then he said he wanted them to pretend everything was alright for a while longer. That's when Tati said, well if we're going to pretend, then you need to throw me a birthday party, as usual. He was hesistant, since he doesn't feel like a party. And she basically said suck it up. If you want to pretend, then we're going to pretend big. I know that Tati was being a bit manipulative, but she has all the right to be ticked off. And in all those years Benja was cheating, he should have known Tati would likely divorce his butt and should have been prepared to have that conversation with his kids. He made that choice, he should deal with it.

Re Julian: the black dress and the pearls: I've been saying that I don't see how they could trace the black dress, or the pearls unless they're real. But now we know that Julian has a photo of his mom wearing them. The photo might be his undoing...
A few weeks ago someone commented that when Julian is being the killer, his hair changes. I noticed that's true. It kind of gets pasted to his head, as well as is parted differently. I was thinking that the actor has made it real. You can almost see an excited Julian sweating when he's thinking abot killing, or actually killing, and his hair getting pasted down with perspiration. I've never seen this actor before and I am really impressed with his performance. I will never forget the shock I felt when Eva spat in his face and his took the spit from his face and put it in his mouth. That had to be an actor's choice rather than in the script.

Wow! Just finished watching last night's EFDE...and how happy I am that Rebecca/Andrea know the whole truth...and that mother and daughter handled everything so well w/Milady. She really is part of the "family"...
I was cheering when Michel was sticking it to his mother and leaving; although the minute Lucia mentioned he left his phone...I did a face palm...typical! Can't reach the guy when everyone else finds out the truth and there's obviously opportunity to "resolve" the situation. I hope he's ok now that he's followed MC and Elena to head honcho place--I laughed seeing Michel rocking out in the minivan (gasp!Clara has a minivan???? a soccer mom wannabe???)...he grabbed his bike helmet when he left the house; so it was funny seeing him in the van.
And, I want to pat myself on the back...I think I understood the majority of all their scenes--I credit the fact that all these arguments/revelations use the same vocab over and over regardless of what novela it is!
But, I'm looking forward to seeing the recap...although I got the gist; I'm pretty sure I'm missing some impt things...
Eduardo should seriously consider changing professions after that "little" gun fight--it was quite believable ;)

Butterfly laughs at her telling her before that happens she will get her revenge and she's the boss around here as she has all of the protection she shows off her crew to Dulce. As she walks away from Dulce, who is left scared talking to herself about MC hurrying up and getting her out of here.

AURORA – Some thoughts on Tuesday’s episode
A correction to what I said yesterday: The Academy hired Martín as the school doctor, not as a dance teacher.
Last night, Vanesa had the best lines:
--I loved her reaction to Inés’s reluctant admission that, well, yes, she and Gustavo had in fact kidnapped Aurora 20 years ago and held her prisoner until she got…iced. Says Vanesa: You’re worse than I am!
--And I loved how she watched Nina play victim in front of her mother and then, as soon as Natalia left, said: ¡No te creo para nada! And then gave her a few tips on being an effective bruja beginning with: Don’t hurt yourself and especially, don’t hurt your face.

Blanca and Martín are having DNA testing so they can know, once and for all, if they are brother and sister. (Don’t you love the economy of Spanish? It’s so much easier to say ‘hermanos’ than brother and sister.)

Eduardo has a loving bonding moment with his son vowing to bring his mother back to him he loves him with all of his heart and what he is about to do is for his sake.Leonor comes back with Tomas's bottle as Eduardo armed and ready tells her to be careful with his son he says a meaningful goodbye to Tomas. Leonor looks on thoughtful and worried.

Andrea finally realizes how much Milady has suffered and is still willing to give up Michel because of her she relents in her anger towards her and forgives her friend saying that Michel doesn't love me he loves you. The two friends make up and are friends once again.
Michel comes out with a backpack he's packing some of his things as Clara begs him not to leave she tells him this is his house too. Michel has had enough telling her he needs to be alone he can't take her anymore and her lies and manipulation of him it's his life.

Nena,Corrina and Anacleto are holding a seance and Corrina sees Daniela ghost.
Pancho comes in looking for Eduardo as Leonor holds Tomas she tells him he was acting weird real intense like before he left.As Pancho realizes Eduardo went to confront Elena's captors.
Elena is told by Mauli to calm down she tells her she won't MC stole her child and lied to her she is going to kill him.At this point i would like to remind this silly goose she had plenty of opportunity before but she got cold feet saved it please with the all talk and no action thank you.
Eduardo comes up to MC's well guarded house and takes out five to six guards out front. Where did these guys learn how to shoot.Pancho is on the way to help Eduardo but is slowed up by a taxi.He then picks up a police cruiser trying to pull him over but he decides to have them follow him to help out Eduardo smart thinking.
Eduardo takes out two more guards as Elena and Mauli hear the gunshots a scared MC comes in saying it's Eduardo and he's taking Elena with him as he grabs her.Eduardo takes out another guard how many is that now nine? Mauli closes the door frighten about what's going on downstairs.

Daniela describes the day of the wedding and how she was dressed in Elena's wedding dress but she was asked to try it on by Elena. I'm not sure if she said that Elena had asked her to stand in that day to marry Eduardo and Daniela did it not for Elena but for herself. It sounded like that was what Nena was saying. Anyway Daniela tells them the reason why Elena had her try on her wedding dress it was to betray her and kill her she had it plan like that from the start.As they watch the ghostly figures of Daniela being pushed by crazy gemela Nena screams out as Daniela.
Walter comes in to find out what all the commotion is about,Corrina runs to Walter trying to show him what she just saw confused and scared.

NovelaMaven, thanks for keeping Aurora alive with your recaps and comments. I don't respond often enough because I'm always behind. But when I do get to my tapes, I take your comments with me. And I do so appreciate your work and stick-to-itity!
Here's a couple of my own comments. I'm finding it so hard to care if Aurora lives or dies. She's one mean lady these days. Even believing Vanessa's lies, Aurora's determination to take revenge and the meanness with which she tries to do so makes me wonder what type of person Aurora ever was. Perhaps freezing a person's heart ruins them for real life interactions and emotions???
Other than to look at, I'm disappointed with the Casper Milketoastness of Lorenzo. Pila's part in Donde Esta Elisa was far more demanding, and he rose to the occasion. I didn't like the captain in spite of his beauty, but Pila did a great job interpreting the part. Most people wanted the Captain to end up with the lead woman. I wanted him to be punished for going way out of bounds in his job. Besides, his competition was played by one of my favorites: Gabriel Porras!
Anyhow, I'm still watching Aurora, and your dedication is one of the reasons I don't quit! Lois

Michel follows Elena and MC where MC has taken her to her new dungeon. Michel wants to call someone on his whereabouts but realizes he's left his cell at home he goes looking for a phone to call for help.
MC tells Elena it's her fault what happened with Eduardo, he then takes her to meet Greco the head of the mafia. Greco isn't happy with MC and the men he has lost last night because of him.
Elena taunts MC as a coward who couldn't face Eduardo as MC smacks her in front of Greco who tells him to knock it off.Greco seems like he wants no part of what's going on because too many people are realizing that MC is associated with him and he doesn't want his business to be exposed. MC tells Greco not to worry he can take care of everything.
Previews Elena sprays something into one of her guards eyes and kicks him where it hurts.She gets her hands on another gun and pulls it on MC again not falling for this again since she didn't do anything the first time. They show us she's ready to kill MC or shoot him we'll see.

Wow, Lois, I totally agree with your comments. Let me add that I think Aurora could have been an excellent novela because it has all the makings of a great story. But what happened to the lead actor and actress? Pila, was, as you noted, a really interesting, intriguing, and somewhat mysterious character in Elisa and he did some fine acting. Here he seems uncomfortable and uncommitted to the part. He's merely reading the lines. Even his character does not seem real- he seems to ricochet off the other characters and we have no sense of who he is.
Aurora, the leading lady, is horrific. She's hell bent on getting revenge and doing all the things she hated in others. To the writers I have to say: Look, I've been watching these novelas for years and I can tell you it won't work to have a leading lady who is evil- it just doesn't fit the notion of the leading lady. We need some redeeming qualities in our leading ladies to keep us interested in their exploits. Otherwise, why bother?
Aurora, the leading lady, is horrific. She's hell bent on getting revenge and doing all the things she hated in others. To the writers I have to say: Look, I've been watching these novelas for years and I can tell you it won't work to have a leading lady who is evil- it just doesn't fit the notion of the leading lady. We need some redeeming qualities in our leading ladies to keep us interested in their exploits. Otherwise, why bother?

I'll tell you how I see this show developing. And mind you, this is no spoiler -- I'm totally making it up and I'm almost always wrong about this stuff!
Anyway -- I see this as the equivalent of one of those Hollywood films where a person dies leaving some unfinished business on earth. St Peter allows the person to go back into his life for a limited time and tie up loose ends. But when that's done, he has to go back to heaven. You can't cheat death.
So Aurora is kind of an angel whose main mission is to straighten out Blanca's life but also to make Lorenzo understand that what they had was real.
Aurora's weird health problems foreshadow that her time on this earth is limited. And in the end, she will give her blessing to the family that Lorenzo and Natalia have formed -- which will now include her daughter, Blanca.
Does that make sense to anyone else?

Yes, in my make-believe world, leading ladies should (mostly always) be virtuous. Aurora/Lorenzo are quite disappointing - I hope that changes soon.

On Aguien Matilde confronts Julian she ask if it's true that Benja was lovers with Maria Garcia Carpenter and Rocio Lynch as Julian tries to avoid the question and says that's Benja's private life.She ask about the night Rocio was murder if Benja was going to meet up with her in NY. Julian ask who told her this?
Matilde is starting to realize that what Mauricio told her is true, as she tells him how could he do this to Tatiana? Julian says he is not Tatiana's husband he gets real upset asking her who told her this then he ask if it was Mauricio he she back with him he grabs her roughly.

NovelaMaven: I tend to agree with your prediction re Aurora... bummer. I do not see a happy ending for this one. Unless of course, age eventually catches up to her. don't care to know really how cryonics work or not, but since it is just a story, maybe she will eventually age.

Julian pauses as he hears about the investigation and ask Matilde about it but she's so angry with him manhandling her and lying to him about Benja's affairs she lets him have it.Telling how they're all liars him Benja and Piedad as Julian tries to defend himself he says yes that's true but we're not killers though.

Rodrigo tells her she knows but Piedad is past the point of sanity tells him she has had it and throws him out of her car.He takes the sonogram with him but she gets out and takes it back from him and drives off. Wow i hate to see how she acts when she gets menopausal.
Valeria who walked in at the tail end of Daniela conversation with Rodrigo discusses him with her.Valeria gets upset for her sake and says he shouldn't treat her like that. I guess now we know why Tatiana told Benja why she wants him to give her a birthday party how smart is she?
Pedro Pablo confronts Loca Lucia with the gift she sent to Lola as Lucia ask if it's the wrong color? Pedro Pablo warns Lucia about bothering his wife and family he gets upset as she tells him to calm down before other people hear him. Well, Novelamaven, you have piqued my interest with your guess at what will happen in Aurora- brilliant! I'm actually more eager to watch now. If true, this would be the second time that Pila does not end up with the leading lady. I'll keep watching for sure.

NovelaMaven, LOVE your caring angel idea and wish it were so. I'd be happily watching rather than wanting to spank our heroine. Unfortunately, Aurora is too mean these days to be an angelic. She's certainly no Claude Rains, who played such a part long, long ago. So too did Cary Grant, as I recall. Unfortunately long ago rememberances get less clear as time wanders on.
But back to 2010. I think Aurora could well be on her way to dying, but I don't see any desire on her part to do anything but get even. Bad vibe for an angel or a helper. Matilda, Lois, Shallowgal -- I wouldn't blame you if you left off watching at this point. It's hard to see a protagonista being so mean. But I have my eye on the Aurora/Blanca relationship. That's where we can always get a glimpse of the 'good' Aurora.
When we first met Blanca, she was a complete brat. Since Aurora has come into her life, she has become much more nuanced, much more interesting. Look at her developing relationships with Lorenzo and Martín. But in many ways she is still a mess (last night, for example, she got arrested for drunk driving. She put her life and César's in danger -- not to mention everyone else on the road -- in danger and she just laughs it off.) And she is still a materialistic snob.
There are some evil forces at that Cryonics lab. Gustavo's sin may be arrogance, hubris, thinking he has Godlike power. But Elizabeth is a serial killer! Dr. Williams is -- well, we don't quite know, but he checked his values at the door when he came to work for Gustavo. Dr. Parker was a sell-out. Martín was too good to last in that environment. And Dra Liliana should watch her back...
I think there is a disconnect between a storyline like AURORA's, which is, at heart, a fairytale, and might lend itself to a cinematic form (you could see it as a two hour movie perhaps) and a telenovela with its hours and hours of time to fill.
In contrast, ALGUIEN TE MIRA uses the telenovela timeframe very skillfully. From what I've read here, so did ¿DONDE ESTA ELISA? (although I didn't see that one.) So maybe a novel of suspense is a better fit.
So... What can I tell you? My standards are pretty low. I'll keep watching the pretty faces, the touristy cuts of New York City and working on my Spanish. Por favor, no me juzgues. :-)

Fantasma: I agree Eduardo is some super shot with those pistols. And when he told Martin he killed a bunch of guys, well, no problem. No charges, and they give his guns back! Very convenient. So last night he killed a bunch more, while standing in the middle of a clearing, unguarded, and the bad guys, some of whom had rifles, missed every shot. Love it!
This episode was really funny. We also had Latona being cured by her daughter's ghost, and finally, La Gemela disguised as a young boy cowboy, about to kill the Padre with a knife!!! Yes, very believeable. Not! But fun. Blu will probably give us the details, but it was a wild episode.

On Alguien, I was glad to see Tatiana finally find out (although she's not sure) and Matilde REALLY confirm, what Benja and Camila have been doing. And with Julian zeroing in on Daniela, Lucy terrorizing Pedro Pablo and Lola, Valeria starting to lose it, and Piedad veering between Rod and Ben, the show looks as if it's about to explode!
NovelaMaven: LOL!!! 'glad I'm not the only shallow one. I too just watch the tns for the eye-candy (ie Michel, Cesar, Lorenzo), beautiful sets/(some)clothes/women's hair etc., and to learn Spanish. the latter's not going so well.

Shallowgal -- jajaja! Yeah, maybe Los Herederos del Monte will be okay, but I admit that every time I see the promo of Marlene Favela putting on her lipstick, it reminds me of the opening shot of "The Big Chill" where a mortician is dressing a corpse, only it takes the viewer a few beats to realize that's what is happening.

I also liked when Tati remarks nastily to her friend's sympathetic remark (You must be feeling sad!) by saying something like: You're the one who should be sad -- at your age, you've done nothing with your life!
It's consistent with Tati's abrasive personality but it's worse than usual. Maybe it's something she might have thought, but she would have been able to censor. The writers know that suffering often brings out the worst, not the best, in people.

On Alguien Camila gets her gift from Benja and loves it as Tatiana calls to confirm that she is coming to her birthday party as Benja and Camila both roll their eyes.
Piedad sits at home looking at her sonogram of the baby and thinks about Rodrigo kissing her.
Next morning Tatiana is greeted by her family on her birthday as she opens her gift from Benja she is disappointed by the perfume he gave her and he ask her what's the matter she says nothing.
Camila at the same time tries on her gift, later she calls giving her greetings for her birthday.
Daniela fixes breakfast for Rodrigo and leaves.
Piedad and Julian are at the cemetery as he puts flowers on Eva's grave he thanks her for coming with him. Mauricio hides behind a tree taking their pictures.

Next morning Tatiana is greeted by her family on her birthday as she opens her gift from Benja she is disappointed by the perfume he gave her and he ask her what's the matter she says nothing.
Camila at the same time tries on her gift, later she calls giving her greetings for her birthday.
Daniela fixes breakfast for Rodrigo and leaves.
Piedad and Julian are at the cemetery as he puts flowers on Eva's grave he thanks her for coming with him. Mauricio hides behind a tree taking their pictures.

Julian goes back to his place complaining that he's tired and not up for a party as Piedad tries to talk him into going.He lays in bed saying he wants to rest for awhile as Piedad lays right next to him what he wants to do, Julian wants to watch a movie so they watch one very cozy with each other.

Hombre- I agree that it does look like things are about to explode. I keep wondering why they put so much emphasis on Valeria. What purpose does she serve and why do we keep seeing glimpses into her life? I can only think (and hope) that somehow Julian accidently kills her instead of Daniela, screwing up his plans to frame Rod.
I could not believe all that kissing Piedad was doing with Julian last night, and it looks like there will be more of that tonight. Yuck and ewww!! I'm glad Mauricio is on to him. If Julian supposedly loved Eva so much and is so broken up about her death, why's he all over Piedad like white on rice? I hope Piedad starts thinking about that soon too.
I am always struck by what a good dad and husband Pedro Pablo is. He handled the situation with the girls beautifully, while Lola freaked out. He also kept her in check. I have thought this before, but it really hit home with me last night in comparing Benja/Tati with PP/Lola. Both women are difficult, judgmental people. And they always seemed to have been that way. Both these men knew who they were marrying when they married them. Pedro Pablo, however, loves his wife, flaws and all. He brings out the best in her. He's also a very present parent, co-parents with her, and he takes his marriage vows very seriously.
Benja on the other hand, could care less about his marriage vows. Although he loves his kids, he leaves the hard work to Tati. And because he hates that judgmental side of her personality so much, he makes snide remarks about it, which only makes her worse. In addition, Tati runs the house by herself (Lola has a maid); runs her own business (I have never seen Benja express any pride at this accomplishment, while she is very proud of his accomplishments.); and keeps herself sexy for her man (I don't recall them having any problems in the bedroom). Both Lola and Tati are fiercely loyal to and protective of their husbands (willingly lying to the police to protect them). I just don't see what Benja really has to complain about. And if he can't stand her, he should just have left a long time ago and spared her this pain. Looks like tonight she might bring the pain to him, via a knife!

Re Aurora:
Honestly, I haven't been able to bring myself to watch all the episodes because I can't stand Aurora right now. She is just hurting too many innocent people. The only thing I watch for are Blanca and Cesar, which is interesting because I could not stand these two characters when they were first introduced. There is such genuine attraction there, and a tenderness too, built up on his part during the kidnapping. And we all know it's doomed to fall apart once they get together because she will find out he was her kidnapper. Both characters have good and bad in them and are interesting to watch.
Aurora needs to get wise, and good, really fast or I might be done with her.

Vivi great points about Benja i keep saying he's like a petulant little boy who doesn't like to deal with the honest truth. He knew exactly what Tatiana was and he married her anyway now after all of these years years her personality has gotten to him. He should have divorced her a long time ago and just stayed single because really i can't see him being in a committed relationship with anyone. What he and Camila did to Tatiana is lower than low.

The family is incredulous about Latona's recovery as she tells them how Daniela is the cause for this miracle.

Back at the bar a ranch hand that works for the hacienda shows up and tells the bartender the new gossip as crazy gemela listens in the back.The bartender introduces the ranch hand to gemela saying he's looking to work there. the ranch hand gives crazy gemela a card.

Eduardo runs to Elena asking if she's ok as MC runs off like the coward he is. The two hug as finally the police show up when everything has been settled.

Montecristo has amazing powers of recuperation. Wasn't he shot in the leg a few days ago? Well, that's forgotten, now he's shot in the arm. Bet that's gone in a few episodes.
Eduardo also has good recuperative powers. He's been severely injured before, and was cured pretty fast. I guess this time they didn't even bother getting him shot by all those guards, since he would have been cured the next day anyway!
And this has been a few episodes, but did they ever really show Elena getting her memory back? One day she remembered just a few things, and the next it was as if it never happened.

What I think may be happening at
present with Aurora is its writers
using filler to defend having so many episodes. Maybe not.
As for dislinking our heroine
too much to continue watching, I
didn't like anyone in DEE, but was enchanted by the novela, each persons story and how the actors made those stories combine and come alive. Perhaps it is that aliveness I'm missing in this novela. And perhaps it was assuming at the beginning that this was more a Univision type novela than a Telemundo type.
All bets and other telenovelas are
off when La Reina del Sur starts. Hope it ends up as captivating as the book.

Martin and Eduardo discuss the party and MC and gemela and their misdeeds as Rebecca joins them to give them the news also of Dulce's release.
Martin can't believe it while Rebecca says she must have gotten some good lawyers to get her out. Eduardo tries to calm her down by saying he just have more security as Rebecca explains that shameless skank doesn't care nothing stops her.Martin is sure that MC helped her get out.
As Elena and Ruth get to know each other, bonding over Laura and her son.

Rebecca has a private talk with martin over her concerns as he tells her as long as the family stays inside the hacienda grounds they should be well protected. Rebecca wants Dulce included with both of them too she is as she says MC's accomplice for the crimes he has committed.
Rebecca ask not only for her daughter but for Dario's son with Dulce she wants him to go find Dario's son Eduardito and bring him here to live with them. Martin warns her that will be very dangerous for her. Since he is Dulce's son.Rebecca lets him know about the promise she made to Dario on his death bed that she will look after his son. Shallowgal it's because earlier in the novela everyone assumed it was Elena Calcano who died from the fall from the roof that day of wedding and there was a ghost like figure of her haunting the house after her death. We later found out it was a drug up girl by Benjamin who had put some hollywood makeup on her to look like Elena Calcano. anyway she was appearing everywhere.
What everyone always said was Daniela was the crazy one but Elena was the sweet docile one. But that didn't stop Eduardo from having sex with her and getting her pregnant.
What we learned the other day the real crazy one Elena Calcano plan that she was going to kill her twin when she found out her being with Eduardo and getting pregnant by him. She was the one who died that day and Daniela was locked up for going crazy but it was Elena Calcano and she was already crazy to begin with. Soemthing happen at the facility that Elena Calcano excaped and supposedly got ran over by a car but they didn't discover a body just her clothes.
She later turn up and this is where Latona was wrong against Dr. Rolando's wishes she brought who she thought was Daniela home and hid her in the attic which was her room. Anyway Latona and Eduardo argue over her being there at the house because she was unwell mentally and everyone assumed she had pushed Elena Lafe down the stairs but it was the drugged up girl who looked like Elena Calcano's ghost who did it.
During this conversation Latona revealed to Eduardo that she was twins real mother. This caused crazy gemela to go crazy and burned down the house and push Latona down the stairs. After she was locked up again she convinced Dr.Rolando and a group of Drs. she was sane and that she wasn't Daniela but in all reality Elena Calcano. When she cames to the hacienda to annouced to the family she was declared sane the family of course wasn't happy but she also had fingerprints done to prove that she was Elena Calcano not Daniela. So i guess that's when everyone realized all of those years of calling Daniela the crazy one was wrong but it was really Elena Calcano who was the crazy one.

Matilde comes out and looks at the two betrayers shaking her head.
Lola sits drinking something to calm her down as their housekeeper warily ask if she may speak with her. Lola still upset snaps at her she may as their housekeeper sits down next to Lola she suggest if she wants she can call her cousin who knows a lot of jerks on the other side of the law to take care of Lucia for her. Of course the decision is in her hands if she wants to do this.

Piedad says maybe he needs to go to rehab for his problem, as Julian ask is that really for Benja or are you thinking about Rodrigo with his counselor Daniela? Piedad scoffs at what he's implying.

Her various medical issues also don't bode well and remember that Pedro Jose in ECDD ended up only with a short return engagement to fix the mess left behind. That story had a bittersweet ending because Salvador survived to go home.
Telemundo doesn't shy away from downer endings where appropriate so I don't see this one ending happily.

Urban Anthropologist: OMG! just for kicks, I purchase dvd of El Cuerpo over last weekend, and didn't even know who Mario Cimarro is. Needless to say, I am now in love with him, and so looking forward to Los Herederos. his hairstyle kinda irked me, but what a hunk! I did not like that ending either.
