Capitulo 265.

1. MamaJ concludes that Lety has a third suitor.
2. Fernando rebukes Omar for such a self-centered apology. Klaus calls Fern about a retro fashion ad campaign, a big contract.
3. Ali wants Tom to buy her a new dress to meet his mother. She says no nookie before the honeymoon. At the store, “a” dress becomes six. Lety gives Tom a wedding gift, an apron, to show her support.
4. Lety’s on a walk with Aldo, so MamaJ talks to Fernando. She asks him, off the record, whether he’s gone out with Lety the last few nights. They agree that Lety’s been acting strangely lately.
5. Aldo suggests that Lety support Tom’s marriage (Julie! Grammar alert!) GSNAK.
6. Fern asks Lety about last night and what Julieta said. Lety dodges, he catches her, and she runs into him. They both like it!
7. Omar says his troubles are Fern’s fault. Fern went and fell in love and abandoned Omar. Fern reminds him it’s his fault Fern lost Lety. Fern says, “My loss is the biggest one in the story.” Fern tells Omar he fell in love with something that doesn’t exist. They decide to give up on love, but neither is convinced. They bring three babes to the house, but the boys would rather watch Karate Kid.
8. Ali meets Tomasa and Mama dislikes Ali from the start. Ali leaves in a huff. Tomasa agrees to give Ali one more chance. Ali sees Tom’s pay stub and decides it’s worthwhile to marry him.
9. MamaJ demands to know what Lety’s up to. Lety says she was giving Omar a taste of his own medicine.
10. Lety invites Aldo to her house for something tonight, and his dad too, while Fern listens at the door. GSNAK. Aldo presses for a hint, but she refuses to tell. Fern tries to invite himself, but Lety advises him that he wouldn’t like it.

4. Fern crashes Lety’s party just in time to hear her say, “Aldo and I are novios.” He pulls himself together and congratulates them. He’s already crying when he excuses himself with a smile plastered on.
5. Ali dresses modestly and tries again with Tomasa. Mama says she has to pass three tests. First she has to make crescent rolls
6. Lety tells Aldo she wanted to make the announcement in front of everyone to show how much she adores him. GSNA.. no kisses.
7. Omar suggests that Fern crashed the party because he’s dying of jealousy and wanted to make Lety feel bad. Fern insists that he came to show his support and that he’s not bothered. He asks Omar’s help to convince himself. In that case, Omar suggests that it’s a little cold to be standing around outside.
8. Aldad pressures them to set a wedding date. Aldo says they need to pay off the debt. Lety adds, “And later we can think about lo demás (the rest – can refer to a thing or a person).” Aldo explains, “Get married, live together in Acapulco, right?” He kisses her and she pulls away.
9. Fernando writes that maybe he needs to accept that he’s lost her forever. Lety dreams she and Aldo have six feo kids.
10. Fern and Omar contract for an apartment.
11. Fern asks Lety’s forgiveness for last night. He sweetly promises that he won’t interfere in her life anymore. She says, “Ay, Don Fernando, don’t say that. You, you’re Don Fernando. You’re one of the most important people in my life.” He says that the truth is, that’s not enough for him, but he’s resigned himself to her decision.
12. Luigi tells Lety and Fern that he won’t unveil his designs until the meeting with the client.
13. Tom announces to the cuartel that he’s marrying Alicia.
Spanish Lesson. Julieta Counsels Lety
J: Lety, after we talked last night, I was thinking about it.
L: About the favor I asked of you?
J: I believe that you’re doing this too soon/fast (precipitar). I believe you could think about things more carefully.
L: You’re talking about my relationship with Aldo, right?
J: Yes. You’re still confused. In this state, it’s bad to make decisions because later you could regret it.
L: You don’t have to worry. I swear. I know very well what I’m doing.
J: Lety, please. Take notice. Barely two months ago, you thought Don Fernando was el hombre de tu vida. You’re still confused. Accept it. Maybe you are mistaken to think that you’re in love with Aldo??

I think the cuartel is dressed particularly nice today. All of them except Juana had more attractive clothes.
Luigi visits Manuel Vera’s office to find out about retro fashion. Wouldn’t it make more sense to ask the client for whom they’re doing the ad campaign? To see the fashions that company sells?
The Conceptos days have been flying! We’ve covered 9 days in 13 caps. For reference, one Conceptos day typically lasts three cap’s. The Longest Day (trash bag day) lasted 14 caps.
Thank you, Pata, for the pictures. Especially for digging up the parallel scene of Lety listening at the door. I searched around for a good shot and gave up, so I know the time involved. We appreciate it.

Yep, Fernando has not left Lety's heart.
Look how uncomfortable she is when Fern is at her house. If she truly was in love with Alpo, she would be much happier. Even with her Papa's permission to kiss, she was rapid-fire get it finished quick about it. And she backed up at the same time.
Back in her office she doesn't want him out of her life because "You're Don Fernando". (Same thing Irmita told him when she told him he's the one Lety loves)
Loved the Fern/Lety grab in the hallway. Did you notice? Naughty bits were together!!!! Jajaja. Darn that Luigi for bad timing. But did you notice he looked more puzzled then anything else. Does he know about Fern loving Lety or did that pass over him when he was on vacation with Rulli?
Hated the way Fern got hurt at Lety's house. Me duele mucho para usted Don Fernando!!!!

Someone commented on the board for yesterday's show what was Lety's reaction to Aldo's groupies. I say she was amused. But if those groupies had come after Fernando, she would have been muy celso. Look how she reacted to Carla and there wasn't anything going on between Fernando and her.

Lety is stupid in so many ways that I can't even count them. She doesn't listen to her mother, who's giving her wise advice, but listens to the platitudes of Aldo who she's only known for a short time. Then, Lety invites the cuartel to the house for the announcement that she and Aldo are novios. Does she not know how the cuartel works? They are gossipmongers and so the knowledge of Lety and Aldo being novios would be all around Conceptos the next day. So it really didn't matter whether Fernando was at the house or not, he would've heard and still been as hurt.
Fernando showed so much class when he was at the house and heard the news. Even when Lety tried to talk to him in the office and whine about what a hard decision it was for her, he was a gentleman. Fernando won't go find another woman; that's not him now; but I sure wish Carla would come back for a visit. She at least gets Lety's shorts in a bunch.
Notice how Lety reverts to the childlike creature when she is talking to her mother, father, or Aldo. Only with Fernando does she sound like the grown up woman she's supposed to be.
I'm so glad Luigi saw the picture of Aurora. Lety's scheming needs to come to light and she will have to face the fact of who she's supposed to be. But the interesting thing is that neither Fernando, Omar, or Aldo recognize Lety in the picture yet there is so much resemblence. It shows me that they do not think Lety could ever be anything but fea. I'm disappointed in Fernando, but I expect that of Omar and Aldo.

Sorry, part 2. Lety looked like she could throw up when Aldo's dad mentioned setting a date. And then when Aldo asked permission to kiss her, Lety didn't want that to happen in front of everyone else. The look on her face was consternation at its best. She barely touched in Aldo's lips in the series of kisses. Lety reacts to Aldo in all these distancing ways and yet, she's so stupid, she can't even read the truth of her own actions and reactions.
I think Lety has convinced herself to be in love with Aldo because most everyone else in her life was pressuring her to give him a chance. Wonder if Aldo would ever give Lety the space that Fernando has in order for her to truly sort out her feelings? NOT!

Wow, just when I think the screen shots can't get any better Pata manages to capture the best moments of both episodes. Nice job!
As crazy as Alicia makes me I enjoyed her scenes with Tomasa. Hard to believe she stuck around long enough to bake bread! I hope she doesn't snooker Tomasa like she has Tomy and instead manages to learn something from her suegra. I hope for Ali's (and Tomy's) sake that one of the tests has to do with saving money!

I know I'll be the unpopular one here, but I felt it was totally inappropriate for Fern to crash Lety's party. Of course Lety looked uncomfortable to have him there - it was so awkward. Who would be comfortable to have their ex show up at a party to announce your new boyfriend? I know Fern is curious and still cares about Lety, but I sort of think things like showing up at her house uninvited need to end. I'm just glad he was well behaved while he was there.
That said - the scene with Lety and Fern in her office the next morning show me exactly why he still thinks he has a chance. Lety again has left the door open for Fern by saying he's still important in her life. It's true, but I'm not sure it's the type of encouragement she should be giving Fern if she truly wants to be with Aldo. Of course we know she probably doesn't want to be with Aldo, but for now she's committed herself to be his girlfriend and I think she's not really being fair to the poor guy.
I was amused by Alicia having to ask for Tomas' hand in marriage. That was really great casting - the actress looked a lot like Tomy. :) I'd been wondering what his mama would be like and she far exceeded all of my expectations for her...especially loved her telling him he couldn't watch tv. I also liked the three tests for Alicia. Can't wait for the remaining tests...
I hope that this whole campaign will be the unveiling of Aurora once and for all. Let's wrap that stupid storyline already!

I agree that Fern was a bit out of line showing up at Lety's and thought it odd that Omar was hanging around outside. It hurt to see Fern wounded and it was touching to watch him and his BFF walk sadly off into the night like that scene in Casablanca.
Lety did look like she was going to toss her cookies when Fausto pushed for a wedding date and blathered on about nietos. She also had that OMG I'm going to have to sleep with him look, something she had no problem doing with Fern. Interesting too that in her dreams her kids were fea. Aldo is a good looking man so why didn'tt she think their kids would look like him. She really is obsessed with the whole fea thing. She might be book smart but is so stupid in other ways that I'm constantly thinking I'd like to smack her one with my remote.

You're right Paula - Lety's first line was most important. She's the worst right now. I hate the fact that she's become such a liar and I also got the feeling that she never clearly explained what she'd done to Julieta. Maybe the scenes were shot, but never shown?
Aldo's declaring that they eventually will get make plans to get married didn't upset me. Until he actually proposes to her, they are just words and I think it was just in reaction to all of the pressure of his father & Erasmo asking for a date. I agree Lety hated the marriage talk...that's already a sign that this relationship is doomed. ha!
I think Lety's reaction to the groupies was to blow it off because those girls looked about 14. She knew that it was ridiculous to think that they would be a threat to her no matter how cute they were...if they had been full grown women I think she might have been thrown a bit more. I thought it was strange that he'd appeal to the teen/tween set...what kid that age really wants to read cookbooks?
Now I'm sad I missed Don and Luigi in the hall if their naughty bits were together Diann. LMAO...damn DVR's.

ITA, its almost like Lety is trying to convince HERSELF as mucn or even MORE than trying to convince those around her that ALDO is the best choice for her...
and 'darle el visto bueno' I would translate as 'giving it the thumbs up!'

GP, in #58, Lety dreamed about their kids. There was a girl who looked like Lety but not badly fea like in the Aldo dream. Then there was a boy who looked like Fernando, or maybe like Eddie Munster! It's in the 2nd half of the cap (the first half was all blither).
I love the scenes between Fernando and Julieta! They have such a bond already, that she even unloads on him her worries about her daughter.

Concerning peoples thoughts about Lety being cruel with her recent actions:
I don't think its cruelty, I think its more clueless. She has NEVER been in this position before in her entire life. TWO men, let alone one, are in love with her. She does not know how to manage her feelings. It is obvious to us she still loves Fern, but not obvious to her. She must be acting on a subconscious level around Fern. To me its a GOOD sign she will dump Aldo. The more she is around Fern the more her subconscious will become conscious. And then she will realize the man she is meant to be with is Fernando Mendiola.

good point, Diann, just like Fernando had no experience getting rejected or having a woman play 'hard to get' on him like Lety did after she read the letter, now Lety has no experience suddenly being a good 'catch' for more than one man... and having feelings for both so she does not want to see either one go away from her life completely, she still does not know how right her mother was when she said that she will have to choose one and 'loose' the other.
