Triunfo del Amor #126-127 5/25/11 Cruz and Fer Save This Mess (And His Beard Disappears and Magically Reappears!)

Okie Dokie Artichokies. I'll try to make some sense of all this. (Jeez. It feels like it's been forever since I did a recap.) It doesn't really follow the episode. I hope I can be forgiven.

Vic
Well, her cancer is slowly spreading. She needs an operation ASAP. She is confused, afraid and doesn't want to die without finding her hija! Drat her inability to remember what Burnie told her! And drat her soberbia! She won't tell anyone anything, swears Toni to secrecy and even tells Max she's out of danger!

Padilla, Alacrán and Eva
Padilla and Alacrán are in cahoots to get back at Burnie. Eva isn't with them, but she's making plans too! Padilla and Alacrán break in, bonk Burnie in the bean, rob the safe and leave her tied to a chair. Eva sets her free....but Burnie suspects she was in on the robbery.

As is usually the case with thieves, Padilla and Alacrán begin to fight over who gets what. Mistrust ensues. (Methinks it will be their undoing.)

Burnie, PJP and Jer
PJP has gone back to the parroquia. Burnie visits him there and  asks PJP to forgive her. He'll forgive her when she tells Vic who her daughter is. Burnie still manages to wheedle a blessing out of him. Later, (after the robbery) she is railing and screaming and flipping out (and accusing Eva of the crime) when Padre Jer comes in and tells her to Send The Frogs Upstairs. He says all she ever brings PJP is problems and tells her to go away and not come back til she can bring some happy news....but Jer doubts that will ever happen. (PS: awesome line in this scene: "They robbed the mother of a priest!" Really, Burnie?)

PJP, Jer and Alonso
Not real integral to the plot (although who knows with Mejía), but Alonso says tells the holy duo he's going to Chiapas. They discuss his health. Alonso says the nosebleeds are no biggie. He'll come back from Chiapas better than ever. In a later scene, PJP and Jer reminisce about mission trips and rare tropical diseases. They tell each other they will make Alonso visit a doc when he gets back.

Maria and Max (with a dash of Toni)
Maria tells Toni she has a vague memory of a friend of her mother who used to care for her like she was her own child. Toni makes a funny face.

Maria tries to convince Max to forgive his mom...Leonela that is.

They smooch a lot.

Speaking of Leo
She tells Gui that if he doesn't get the theater she's gone.
She fights with Max and says she doesn't want to go back to AA buuuut....she still fights the urge to drink like a fish...especially after Xi has a bottle of booze anonymously delivered to Leo's room.

The Nacos
Take a trip to Guadalajara. I know nothing about fútbol, but apparently they are there for "El Clásico" (Which happens to be Club América contra Chivas.) What.evs. Oh wait, everybody prays while visiting a church. JuanJo thanks God for Nati. Nati thanks God for JuanJo. Cruz prays for Fer. Awwww.

Xi
She swears everyone will pay. She tells Maria she can have Max and wishes them happiness. Xi explains she was sick; please forgive her blah blah blahbitty blah. Lying. beech. (And I don't mean the tree.)

Os, Vic and Dr. Voice
So Vic is keeping the whole cancer thing from well, everyone and has asked Toni not to tell. While visiting Fer in the hospital (I'm getting to that) she has chest pains and Dr. Voice insists they go back to his office (which I thought was at CRIT, but apparently he has a satellite office at Sandoval Memorial Hospital) and talk. Meanwhile, Os is pressuring Toni to tell him what's going on. Toni kind of caves and says Vic told her to be quiet. Os busts into Dr. Voice's office and asks Vic what gives. Vic finally confesses she has cáncer de mama. (This is where we really get William in a kayak, but I want to end the recap with the good stuff.)

The reason we all stick with this train wreck: Fer and Cruz
Fer has decided that she will have the operation. Of course everyone worries. They all hope she will walk again. Cruz even bought her some cute shoes in Guadalajara in the hopes she will use them. (My goodness these two are darling together!) Fab finally admits defeat.

Eventually the operation takes place. Hours go by. When it's all over, Dr. Voice is not sure if it worked. Some of the nerves just didn't respond. Mere hours after the delicate spine surgery, Fer is manhandled by Os and Max and they get her out of the bed to have her stand. They have to test to see if the operation worked, you know.

Sadly it did not.

But guess what.

Cruz officially proposes...right there in the hospital. And Fer says YES! And even better, she is genuinely happy. You can tell that she's not that devastated about the failed operation. Cruz gives her the engagement ring and a red rose. (I am NOT doing this justice.) They decide to get married as soon as she's out of the hospital.

ETA:
Maria visits Fer in the hospital and they share a moment. Fer apologizes for how crappy she was at the beginning. They hug. Os sees and makes a thought bubble comment about them being sisters and all of Viewerville wonders why the hell he doesn't just tell Vic.

Sweet William Levy in a Kayak (see above for actual timing)

Avances

  • The wedding!
  • Padilla with a shotgun!
  • Rosendo with a peg leg! (Oh, sorry. Wrong TN)

PS: please fill in any gaps I may have. ¡Gracias!

I could watch Burnie getting busted upside the head with a bottle over and over and over again.

Anonymous 12:05-LMAO.

LOL especially when either Padilla or Alacran had a memory of busting her upside the head. LOL LOL LOL

why is the recap getting shorter and shorter?..OMG

I was reviewing my notes and realized I forgot a probably important scene with Maria and Fer. It doesn't make the recap any longer. Sorry.

Thanks Sara. The recap hit the important highlights, and we all agreed that's enough for these double-duty times and the fact this show is trying everyone's last nerves.

Was nice to have so much sweetness with Fer and Cruz. Too bad we're getting all this now, which makes me think the last couple weeks will be all whining and crying and revenge and people killed. Fun times?!

Is there a possibility that they are setting up Vic to not make it to the end of this thing? She'll reunite with Maria, but the cancer will do her in? Or are we getting set-up for one of those miraculous TN cures? being mean...but if Maria gets to keep one parents going forward, I'd rather it be PJP.

With all the light bulbs going off by Os, Toni, etc. we could light a ballroom. Someone put two and two togther already!

I had the same thought. I would hate for that to happen, tho. In my limited understanding of TNs that just doesn't seem right to me, but what do I know?

Re: shorter and shorter recaps. I for one just appreciate the recappers doing what they do. I can't even make it to the end of the novela near 11:00 p.m. I fall asleep and I have to get up at 5:45 a.m. These 9-11 soaps are doing a number on me. Actually shorter and more direct is good for me right now. I can come into work, get the facts and begin my job. Other times, details are nice. Recappers, excellent job and I appreciate this more than you can say. I study spanish, live in PA USA, have a tutor from Nicaraqua online and I can talk and read spanish, but to understand, is another thing. Must be my age "68". Seeing these recaps is awesome and helpful for me. Ret

I am wondering whether Fer can have a sex life, but I guess we will probably find out tonight. Sad that the operation didn't work.

I'm sure Victoria will make it to the finale. Now that she seems to have gotten over her issues with Maria she needs to know that Maria is her daughter and she deserves to see Bernarda fall.

Prediction re Padilla and El Alacran: One will do the other in shortly and Bernarda will finish the survivor off. How is it that El Alacran knew the combination to her safe in the first place?

Thank you so much for this recap! I was doing schoolwork so could not pay close attention. When they go into long conversations, I lose it anyway, so the recaps fill in what I lose. And I simply cannot understand Padilla no matter what he says.

How does Os know that Maria and Fer are sisters?

Cindy

Sara- Thanks for these highlights. No need to do more.

Os actually doesn't know that Maria and Fer are sisters (because he would surely tell Vic). What he thought bubbled is that if Vic found her daughter, this is what it would be like (looking at Maria and Fer hugging). But he did not put it together that Maria is not just LIKE the sister Fer has out there somewhere, but that she IS the sister Fer has.

So glad Vic finally let the cat out of the bag about her cancer to Os. That was so ridiculous tha,t after all the issues lies have caused in their relationship, she would carry on with such a BIG lie. These people never learn.

One line of conversation that confused the heck out of me, has more to do with sloppy writing I think. Maria now knows via PJP that her mother did not abandon her, but instead lost her. She has acknowledged this a few times now and compared her situation when she lost JPito to how her mother must have felt. But then she's having a conversation with Max last night, urging him forgiving his mother. Then when he asks if she could do the same and forgive her mother she says she doesn't know. Que?! She now knows there's nothing to forgive, so what's the problem? And even if she still thought the worse sin her mother MIGHT have committed was abandoning her, it’s pretty hypocritical to ask Max to forgive a lying, evil, manipulative, MURDERER, who also attempted to kill his dad, while saying she can't forgive a much smaller sin by comparison. This heroine is written with no common sense.

Thank you, Sara. I appreciate it very much. Even watching the whole thing, I need a recap. My mind wanders!

Telenovela medicine needs to be revisited here. Can you imagine a patient with paralysis determining the success of the surgery by having her muscled brother and father hold her up amidst tears of hope? This is such a delicate and technical area of medicine.

Dr. Cesar has an intuition that there is something wrong with Victoria. My own experience, here and in Central America, is that doctors try to avoid intuitions in favor of science/testing.

And then there is Padre G., one of my favorites, diagnosing Alonso's illness based on his own illness in mission work. And undoubtedly he will be right!

I could go on. The doctor telling Victoria that her cancer has maybe begun to spread, etc.

Just venting.

thanks for the clarification irt Os's thought bubble. I took notes on The Max Maria mamas congo Blu forgot it. Sorry.

I don't think any of the recappers are getting paid to take time out of their night and write long recaps. I'm appreciative of any recap they can churn out.

This heroine is written with no common sense.

-------------------------------

Cuz if she had common sense:

She would have told Max about her pregnancy BEFORE he married Ximeana.

She would have told Max about her pregnancy BEFORE the baby kicked him in the stomach.

She would NOT be wearing sky high heels.

She would have told the police Ximeana tried to kill her. She had the cut mark on her neck as proof (also Fausto busted the situation up).

She would have told MAX that Ximeana tried to kill her, if she couldn't bring herself to tell the police.

She would have told Max that both Burnie AND Victoria threatened to take her baby away/buy the baby (before JPito got kidnapped).

She would have told Max AFTER JPito got kidnapped that both Burnie & Victoria threatened to take the baby away/buy the baby.

She would have told the police that Burnie & Victoria threatened to take the baby/buy the baby. Os was the only one who immediately thought "Burnie" when the baby was kidnapped.

After these homicide attempts/threats to baby she would have MOVED out of the vecindad for her own/baby JPito's protection. She has the large cosmetics endorsement check and is working at Victoria Fashions again, she has the money. And if not, Max does.

After learning she was NOT abandoned from Padre JP, she would have hightailed it to the convent and asked the sisters where she was found and backtrack from there. For all of Maria's whining about her mother, I don't believe she has even ONCE tried to find her mother!

Maria needs some spunk lessons from Fer. And for heavens sake, get rid of that poor girl braid! Even Victoria was sporting a poor girl braid the other night!

Thanks Sara. This is great... like a quick shot of a fine Tequila. Very satisfying.

So I'm guessing that Cruz wants to marry Fer... how many times did he propose?

It looked like the barrio bunch were really enjoying themselves at the soccer match. That red and white jersey looked very good on Milagros. She looked like a real fan.

My vote for Alonzo's bug... yellow fever.

And here I thought that César Evora was and experience surgeon... he reached up adjusted his headlamp with his gloved hand. Where was the circulating nurse or OR supervisor?

Traveling lady:

"Can you imagine a patient with paralysis determining the success of the surgery by having her muscled brother and father hold her up amidst tears of hope? "

Can't walk on first try?... next!

Carlos

While watching most of the hospital scenes last night, it struck me that between the actors playing Vic, Os, Dr. Heri, Max, Cruz and Fer in this Mexican tn, only two of them are Mexican- Victoria Ruffo and Pedro F. (Cruz). The others are all from the islands- Cuba (WL-Max, CE-Doc Heri, and LB-Fer) and Puerto Rico (Osvaldo). WL still struggles with his Cuban accent, and CE and Os have had decades to overcome their island accents, but I have to give Livia Britto props for being able to so effectively soften her island accent in her very first acting role. Actually, she's doing a great job all around for her first tn, and she really stole the scenes she was in last night. Great job by this young/new actress!

Sara - Thank you for the recap. We're a forgiving lot and appreciate your time and labor.
BTW, have you read the Louise Rennison 's books with Georgia Nicholson as the …erm…heroine?
Your recap comments sometimes remind me of them.

'Dr. Voice' …. good name for him.
Frankly, I could sit and listen to him read the menu from Shoney's.

I can't wait to watch the Fer & Cruz scenes. 

"Rosendo with a peg leg! (Oh, sorry. Wrong TN)" MuaHahahahahaaaaa……

"..... which makes me think the last couple weeks will be all whining and crying and revenge and people killed. Fun times?!
daisynjay - LOL!

Tks so much Sara.

How does Padilla or Alacran know the safe combo?

Vivi, COMMON SENSE, in a Mejia TN?????? Just can't happen, but I know that you know that.

Nobody even comments on how Maria resembles Victoria.

And some writer dropped the ball on the conversation between them in the dressing room when Maria told Victoria that she found her father. That was two sentences away from her saying "It's Padre Juan Pablo" but I guess this revelation would have been seriously awkward just as Maria was due on the catwalk. We had another close call last night when Toni and Maria were talking.

It's not far off, but that doesn't mean it's not overdue.

Vivi, Cruz is Pablo Montero. He's from the same home town as Carmen Salinas (Milagros). You might have been confused because the blue charro suit is more Pedro Fernandez' style.

Sara--Commendations--longer is not necessarily better, so thank you for the recap of last night's action-packed, back-to-back episodes.

I'm with traveling Lady here--why wasn't the physical therapist present? Why is the whole family surrounding Fer at a very delicate time--it only puts pressure on her. And--she did feel her feet on the floor and was able to stand for a few minutes. I think the medical portions of this novela are all in Meh-jia's head. They probably ran short on money for a medical consultant. (That goes for the padres' diagnosing Al, too)

And yes, I saw Burnie shut the safe, then turn back and turn the handle before she went out to investigate the noises. They obviously didn't force her to give them the combination--Alacran knocked her out before she could ID them. Maybe Meh-jia doesn't have a locksmith consultant on board either.

What, no police--again? Meh-jia either doesn't trust the police or he doesn't have money for a police consultant on the show either.

Sorry, but who carries babies around all the time? Finally we see Maria pushing a twin-stroller, but then it's back to carring them around. They get heavy after awhile.

Anon207--Thank you for the detailed list of dumbness on our heroine's part. Could we add that she should have told Max that she was going to be "out of town" for awhile all those last months of her pregnancy? That was mean as well as dumb.

BTW, someone mentioned in yesterday's comments about Maite and the tilting head. Whenever she was on screen, that's all I could watch for last night. Maybe I'll count the times tonight.

My word verification is extrumb--which is a contraction of extradumb.
NOK

Nobody even comments on how Maria resembles Victoria.

------------------------------

Both Toni and Victoria mentioned at the beginning of the show how much Maria reminded themselves of a young Victoria.

Urban, I was thinking Pablo M., but wrote Pedro F. You can tell which one I prefer. LOL! I know you prefer Pablo, but I have just not seen him bring it like Pedro did in all his singing scenes in Dinero. Pedro also gave me my favorite (and most teary) finale moment with this lovely song in Dinero starting min 2:06: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyi-Ii6iBLM&feature=related

Thank you, Sara! Wonderful job. I'm going to steal "Dr. Voice" from you.

I just noticed the title. Yes -- I was fascinated as Cruz appeared shaven and un- from one take to the next in the hospital.

But the biggest tragedy last night was Ximena's get-up for her street confrontation with M ya no D - QTH! From the tinsel around her neck to the bulbous orange tunic thing around her body, the unflattering white fedora, the beaded hoops -- amazing! Does Victoria Ruffo have a clause in her contract stipulating that she's the only one who gets a flattering wardrobe and for everyone else, the tackiness of the costume is inversely related to the natural gorgeousness of the actress?

I know this makes me a bad person, but I was disappointed at last night's hints that what Alonso has is curable. Drat!

Sara thanks doing a recap for two hours of a novela is a tough chore but what may make it even harder is when you have to recap crap like this.

Is it too late late to say i enjoyed Bernie being conked over the head with a bottle too? Too bad they did have another one for Victoria.

Vivi i have to agree with Variopinta common sense in a Mejia novela. Let's see he killed off the LindaHo character so that made Victoria vent all of her vitriol onto Maria D. in this version. Fausto is younger in t his version and the Cruz character is older here. Now here's where he totally screwed up the story so far Victoria was just as against the Cruz marriage to Fer as she was Max to Maria D. in the EPDA version. What happen to the conflict of Maria D. not so easily forgiving Victoria for all she has done to her. You mean to tell this is going to be glossed over?

The only thing new i did like Mejia included in this version was how it was Burnie who took over Victoria's company. But boy has Mejia so messed up this version. I don't know if he'll kill off another character we didn't expect to be killed off.

Didn't you just want to slap Max when he came in the bedroom just as Antonieta was putting two and two together?
I am totally ready for someone to put two and two together or get over their confessional excuses and tell Vic who her daughter is. Every time something happens that is special because the Padre is Maria's father, i.e. the proposal of Maria and Max, I want to slap him too for his refusal to tell.

... I mean "directly" not "inversely" -- the more gorgeous the actress, the tackier the get-up. :)

Blusamari - I didn't see EPDA but Vic accepting and approving the Fer-Cruz relationship, and then marriage, just does not compute. Not with Vic's discrimination against Maria ya no D. I've been going 'QTH?' since the day Vic told Cruz he could come in thru the door.

Over the top not making sense may well be Meh-jía's Modus Operandi; IOW, that for which he is famous.

It isn't just Mejia who produces TN's where common sense takes a back set to stupidity. It happens all the time.

Another vote for the the head bashing. I also thought it hilarious that the two Padres suddenly became diagnosticians simply on the evidence of a nose bleed. And did I miss something that Lon had been in the tropics fairly recently since his "mystery" disease has only just appeared. More important to me is that PJP is weak in his telling Alonzo that Maria is not for him. He continues to let the delusional man think that he has a rat's a** chance in hell of winning his simpleton daughter.

Do not get me started on TN hospital scenes and medicine. I could spend a year writing and not hit all the madness. I know that after surgery patients are gotten on their feet ASAP but not the day after back surgery. If nothing else Fer would still be a bit woozy from the effects of the anesthesia and at risk for exactly what we saw a fall which could undue all the good from the surgery.

When Bernie was raging around in front of the two padre's PJP rolled his eyed which he is doing more often as his demented mother sinks further into madness. Can't blame him because i find myself doing it all the time myself.

Glad that the truth about Vic's cancer has come out and now we can watch Dr. Voice perform a miracle and heal her

Someone at Televisa must be a big Chivas fan because i've seen multiple novelas where someone or lots of people are Chivas fans. You'd think it was the only football team in Mexico.

Laughed at the appearing disappearing beard on Cruz. Reminded me of the constant pencil changes in FEA.

Bad continuity or bad writing with Maria and her unforgiving attitude to her unknown mother after having been told that her mother did not abandon her. Well I suppose when someone genius puts the clues together and the truth comes out we'll be treated to a few episodes of snotty attitude and recriminations.

How many of you think the only way it will come out that Maria is Vic's daughter is the old blood transfusion, Maria can be the only donor excuse?

This is my first novela to watch and I am just loving it! I appreciate all you wonderful people that do the recaps. If it weren't for you I would miss alot of the story line sometimes. I have a few questions:

1.) How can Max get his mom that fancy hotel to stay in but he can't get Maria and his baby a decent place to live? With a real door! Come to think of it, has he even bought or provided anything for that baby?

2.) I'm getting irritated with Maria because she is so in love with Max that she doesn't see what a great guy Alonso is! C'mon guys, he is the one that took care of her while she was pg, bought the baby everything he has, and oh yeah did I mention, find the baby after the baby went missing. Oh yeah! And got Maria employed when Vic kicked her out of Casa Victoria and Max was too scared to stand up to his mommy and Jimi.

3.) Nati and Juanjo, really? I wish they would have had Nati and Alonso get together.

4.)Where's Roxana?

5.)What happened to the Maxmobile?

6.) Also, how can Cruz afford to buy Fer a ring, with the little bit of money he won, and Max HELLO! Just keeps promising the marriage! Cough up the ring buddy?

Don't get me wrong, with all these questions and all the frustrations that I go through every night with these characters, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Aww. I'm going to have to watch this online somehow, because the idea of Daniela freaking Romo getting a bottle broken over her head (okay, hair in the case of Bernarda)...I would have skipped part of last night's NBA conference game for that. Seriously. :)

Sara, thanks for the recap--well organized and funny.
I couldn't believe the way they handled Fer's medical situation! Seems like first they would give her a little recovery period, then try her response while she was still in bed, then have physical therapists set her up with the appropriate equipment and exercise to build her muscles back up. Keee-razy!
On the other hand, a course of treatment with Cruz' roses and kisses might do wonders for her.
La Paloma

By the looks of the dress that Antonetta had on last night, I think Lady Gaga is designing for Casa Victoria.

Vivi: I think the problem with Levy has more to do with diction issues than with his accent. I watched a Cuban movie about a month ago and had no troubles understanding the actors in it, Levy just needs to learn to enunciate better. I do give props to Livia Britto for mastering the accent so soon, though.

In the famous "Clásico", I'll always pick Chivas to win. Even if they are not my favorite, América sucks and they are always favored by the referee(sorry Cuahutémoc). But Pumas is my team and they just won the 2011 tournament so deal with that Televisa!

Jarocha

Where's Roxana?
She's still around.

What happened to the Maxmobile? It got run over by a train in an attempted Maxicide.

Also, how can Cruz afford to buy Fer a ring, with the little bit of money he won..
Belle - LOL Maybe it is cubic zirconium, or he got a deal on CraigsList?

I KNOW.....WE ALL KNOW THIS IS A NOVELA......RIGHT......I DO BELIEVE WE ARE SMARTER THEN ANY OF THE DUMMIES INCLUDING DR.VOICE AND THE MEDICAL TEAMS SHOWN HERE.....BUT AS SOMEONE SAID B4 ME.......I WOULD NOT CHANGE A THING.....THIS IS THE STUFF THAT MAKES A NOVELA A NOVELA......AND I APPRECIATE ALL THE CRAZINESS....POBRE ALONSO......CONTACTNG YELLOW FEVER........WHERE DID THAT COME FROM......I MUST OF MISSED THAT PART........ANYWAY LETS ALL ENJOY TO THE END AND CHEERS FOR THE GOOD GUYS.......I DO.......THANKS FOR THE RECAPP HOW EVER YOU RECAPPERS DO IT IS FINE FOR ME... APPRECIATE ALL................BNinCA

Had to check back in before tonight's steamroller wedding.

Was it yesterday that someone posting said CE-The Master Voice had been offered a leading role but was busy with Llena? Should we speculate on which role he could have had? Osvaldo, Guillermo, PJP, Pipino, Fausto, Cruz? Personally, I'm glad he couldn't take on any of them (especially if we couldn't have had Diego as PJP and he'd have looked funny coming through the window of Fer's bedroom). It wouldn't have added much to his star-status and he'd have a lot to live down.

Belle--what fun to have you here on this crazxy mist up roiler custer ride.

My answer to your questions:
1. We've speculated on this ad nauseum--and haven't the foggiest notion why they would make it so easy for people to walk in, break in, storm in, swoop in etc. without knocking first.

2. Telenovela law--you are destined to end up with the first one you fall in love with and/or sleep with (if you are the heroine). As for Maria, fresh out of the convent school with no prior experience in the boyfriend department, she fell for Max.

3. Nati/JuanJo--most unlikely pairing in the whole tn. At the beginning, Nati had very low self-esteem, unsure of herself, never been kissed, nerdy and dressed funny. She watched LindaHo work her magic and was horrified that JuanJo would fall for her when she had set her eyes on him, all the while feeling that NO one would fall for her. Remember how we all were rooting for Fab when he and Nati started meeting (it wasn't really dating) to go to movies and discuss intellectual matters over coffee?

4) Doris has it right.
5) The Maxmobile--Max wasn't driving the Green Hornet Maxmobile the night the train hit him. It's a two seater and he had Osvito with him in the back seat. Don't know where it is now, but I like him in the red mustang a whole lot more.
6)About the ring. It wasn't a whopper, so maybe we didn't see him actually getting it. Maybe he bought it on credit, with promise to pay $15 a month for 7 years.

Well, to those who wouldn't want it any other way, I'll sort of go along, as long as somewhere on a channel are some thoughtful, well-written, well-acted novelas that make sense--like reading a good NOVEL (La Pola is a good example). My 2 cents only.
NOK

All during FELS I was getting increasingly frustrated with the shooting out of sequence that made Franco's facial hair look wrong for the time of day. I think Jorge Salinas did the right thing by constantly being clean-shaven (which is how he looks best anyway). Pablo Montero should have done the same thing.

The circumstances of the mother/daughter separation in EPDA were different and it was a different character who got breast cancer in that one.

If Maria and Victoria's recon is sooner and smoother I'm sure that will be made up for by more madness and threats from Dona Dementa.

Does anyone here watched any other Mejia-produced telenovela??..
how's it like?...

i gotta say that the actors are great but the plot's busted... it's kinda beating around the bush.. CCEA is way better than ETDA..i wouldn't have watched this novela if Mai and Will weren't in this...

i gotta say sorry to the recappers..now, i understand why u wouldn't make ur recaps that detailed... i just wanna ask them to stick to this novela until the end coz i really need its recaps.. (coz i'm not so good at spanish)...

last question, can anyone tell me wats the difference bet. Mexican and Cuban accent?...

Reading this comment in 2022 and I just wanted to let you know over a decade later and it still reads as totally rude and ungrateful and also very entitled because I am only now seeing this show in my country all these years later and these recaps have been a godsend because English is my first language and there’s another comment pointed out reading and listening to it on television with speed or two different things so maybe, be more grateful
