Cuando Me Enamoro #58-59 Friday 7/8/11 A Tale of Veneno and Vino
Renata is the belle of the grape-stomping ball and Jero is el principe.
Everyone cheers for them to kiss and they get oh so close before Nata pulls away and runs off into the crowd. Jero and Agustin take the time to glare at each other before Jero goes after Nata.
Adriana is on Nata's heels as she tries to make a quick getaway. "What happened between you and Jero? Are you sure he doesn't love you?" Adri asks. There was a lot of passion and desire in that grape dance. Nata begins to cry and wonders what to do. She couldn't stand to be rejected by Jero again. Adri calls Jero and Nata locos for not realizing how much they love each other.
Honorio swears another businessman to secrecy about the documents he is about to read. The top-secret file says that Blanca's father is alive. Hon wants the other guy to go through Blanca's paperwork with a fine-tooth comb to look for discrepancies - without Blanca finding out.
Berta toys with Diego when he turns up at her favorite lounging spot. She pulls out his cellphone and warns Diego to never mess with her. For good measure, Berta tosses his phone in the pool. Diego swears revenge but, for even better measure, Berta giggles and pushes him into the pool.
Regi's detective tells Antonio that the following day Regi will have a new security team. Tony wants all information about Regi's case to be given to him before anyone else. He especially goes not want Gonzo to be involved. Tony wants to be the one to recover Regi's daughter so she will be forever grateful to him and agree to stay by his side. Tony, I kinda liked you at one point but this passive-aggressive controlling thing is where I jump ship. Maybe a bull will get loose from the zoo and trample you for good. (I talk back to fictional characters. It's more fun that way :)
Fina seethes over the fact that she can't get near Regi because of the guards. Suddenly a lightbulb goes off over her head. Something vile on her mind, for sure.
Honorio happily greets Constanza when she gets home. He wants to take her out for a movie date. Coni mentions that Blanca has signed on to work at the center on weekends. Coni is full of compliments about Blanca and hopes they can be amigas. Flashing red stalker alarms go off in Honorio's head. He doesn't want Blanca anywhere near them; they shouldn't have relationships with any employees. Coni looks confused.
Nighttime and the festival is still in full swing. Jero is proud of the harvest his brother planted and hopes to do some serious business with it. Augie mean-mugs Jero. "Too bad all of your harvests belong to me for the next three years." Rafa had set up a prior contract with Augie but Jero could not care less. He is going to produce the best wine imaginable - named San Rafael - in honor of his brother. The fellas drink to Rafa.
Ominous music plays as a woman in a volunteer outfit sneaks into the hospital. She stands outside the door, listening to Tony and Regi. Regina is upset that Tony doesn't trust her. It's Gonzo that Tony does not trust, blah blah.
Honorio took most of Blanca's battiness in stride but now the claws are coming out. He tells her to quit meddling in his life, especially when it comes to Coni. Blanca wants to get to know Coni better so she (batty) can give Hon what Coni can't. After their special night, Blanca wants to "make Hon happy". Honorio swears that night only happened because he wasn't in his right mind; he's sure that Blanca drugged his drink. She is nothing to him! Blanca threatens to tell Coni about their affair. Hon asks what it is that Blanca wants from him - is it money?
Nope, she doesn't want money. Blanca *lurvs* him and wants Hon to *lurv* her back. (I am so creeped out by this, you guys. She's like the female Dr. DrunkRapist.) Honorio will never have feelings for her (beyond disgust, I imagine). Daniel weasels his way into the office after the confrontation. Blanca cries to Daniel about how badly Honorio has wronged her.
Matias remarks to Jero how the tables have turned for them. Jero started out with Berta and Mat with Nata; now they're both going to be married to the other guy's ex-girlfriend. Matias vows that everything he is doing is for Nata; he only cares for her happiness.
Meanwhile, Nata has become a little too happy after enjoying one too many glasses of wine. Adri, being a good amgia, couldn't let Nata drink alone. Both buzzed ladies discuss the topics they would rather not talk about sober. Nata understands that Adri is in love with Matias and his marrying Berta is a big bummer for her. Adri doesn't deny it.
Nata worries about having to move back into La Bonita for the night but Adri assures her that Carlos has already had her stuff sent over. Gonzo and Mat will be none the wiser. Speaking of, Adri takes off with Carlos once Jero strolls over. Nata makes Jero drink with her.
Before Jero has a chance to react, Nata freaks out because one of her earrings is missing. Jero is upset that Augie gave her earrings but Nata explains she only accepted them for the night. She plans to return them the next morning. Jero remembers seeing those same earrings at the shop but didn't buy them for Nata.
Nata teases Jero for asking to see her other earring. She hands it over and gives Gonzo a bear hug when he walks over. Gonzo tells Nata she has clearly had enough to drink and helps her into the casa. Mat has nothing to offer except a *significant glare* to Jero.
Jero catches Agustin and launches into an attack. How dare Augie give jewelry to Nata. Augie calls Jero's marriage a farce; they're only married on paper. Jero shoves the earring in Augie's face and stomps off.
Mystery Woman *coughFinacough* sneaks into Tony's hospital room while both he and Regi are asleep. She stands over Regi and pulls two syringes out of her pocket. Heh, guess Tony is going to end up collateral damage.
Luckily, Regi stirs which sends Fina scuttling over to the other side of the room. She kneels, pretending to pray for the ailing Tony. Doña Cata brings Regi a cup of coffee and wishes Nurse Ratchet a good day. Regi leaves to see Cata out. Fina checks to see if the coast is clear and shuts the door.
Fina empties her syringes of death into Regi's coffee cup while Tony snoozes. This seems like a less-than-foolproof plan.
Back at La Bonita, Nata is three sheets to the wind and compliments Gonzo on his ability to half-carry her into the house. Jero takes up Gonzo's post as everyone else leaves for bed. Jero scoops Nata off her feet and she giggles because it reminds her of their wedding night.
Jero, a little tipsy himself, tosses Nata onto the bed and helps her undress. He undoes her dress and Nata gives him her best seductress look as she heads into the bathroom. Too bad she topples over a second later. Jero and Nata dissolve into giggles and Jero pulls her up.
Nata asks Jero to stay with her. She starts to pull off her dress as she kisses Jero's neck. Jero gives in, pulls off his shirt, and hops into the shower with Nata. Their silhouettes kiss and caress. (Their hands on the shower door remind me of the love scene in Titanic.)
Fina must have made a quick getaway since Regi is already back in the hospital room. Regina stirs the drugged and/or poisoned coffee and takes a fateful sip that would make Hamlet's mother proud. (As an English major, I couldn't help but make a reference.)
Regi pulls a face at the drink but continues to chug it down.
Seconds later, Regi grabs her throat and collapses to the floor in pain. Tony is still dead to the world. He's turned out to be quite useful, huh?
Adriana and Carlos discuss Nata and Jero. Carlos almost lets slip that Jero's jerkiness has something to do with Rafa. Carlos does tell Adri that Jero wants Nata to fess up to her past and prove that she regrets it. Adri has no idea what Carlos is talking about.
Cata returns to the hospital room to find Regina unconscious on the floor. Her cries wake Tony, who yells for help.
Ines and Isidro talk to Andrescito about his upcoming surgery. Andres wants his padre to be with him in the sterile room after the operation. Ines gets a call from Cata about Regi's condition.
Arely pilfers through a dresser and lays into Augie for keeping Nata's things. She's going to leave and never come back. Arely is tired of playing second fiddle to Nata. "It's her or me!" Augie is annoyed and doesn't go after Arely when she storms out of the room. He does sniff Nata's nighty like a perv, though.
Matias can't get the sight of Nata and Jero out of his head. Similarly, Adri can't stop thinking about Mat and Berta together with "their" baby. She finally understands how her madre felt all those years about her padre. These folks are just rife with grief. Gonzo dreams about Regi and wakes in a panic. He had a dream that Regi disappeared into a dark place where he could never see her again. Mat calms him down.
Cata, Tony, and Ines anguish over the lack of news. The Doc finally arrives to give them the diagnosis: Regi is in grave condition. A few minutes more and she would have been poisoned to death. Depending on the next few hours, Regi may or may not survive.
The next morning, Nata wakes up in bed with Jero. She sneaks out with the comforter just as Jero stumbles out of bed. He smiles about the night before.
Nata gushes to Adri about her noche de amor. I love that she didn't even stop to put on clothes first.
Adri is happy for Nata but warns Nata not to lose her head. She explains what Carlos told her: Jero both hates and loves Nata because of a huge sin from the past that she has kept a secret. Jero wants Nata to admit to the past and to being the cause of all his troubles. Now Nata is angry. The only one who has been suffering injustices is her!
The businessman stops by Honorio's house to hand over the results of his investigation. None of the information about Blanca matches what Hon was given. She never worked in China, she lied to the company about that and lots of other things. The investigator asks Hon how they should proceed.
Everyone enjoys breakfast together at La Bonita. Adri teases Nata for losing all control once she got tipsy. Nata says the wine relaxed her and helped her see Jero's true feelings. "Drunks and children always speak the truth." Matias says. Carlos offers to take everyone out to the fields to show how the wine is made.
Lazaro interrupts breakfast, leading the group outside. Nata's horse Gitana has arrived! Nata is overjoyed to see her. Gonzo says Nata deserves to have her two loves in the same place. Nata asks Jero if he really wants her to stay with him, despite everything. Jero nods.
Capitulo 59
Coni runs into Chema at the center. She's sorry about having to distance herself from him; she misses his friendship. Chema still hasn't given up and thinks they deserve a chance together. Coni is conflicted.
Fina grabs the newspaper from Berta. "Hey, read any good obituaries today?" (Well, Fina *kind of* said that.) Berta asks Fina where she disappeared to the night before. Fina flashes back to filling up the syringes with antifreeze. She lies to Berta about having been out with friends. (What friends?!) Berta is annoyed with Sele and Fina warns her not to trust anyone.
Cata and Ines are allowed a few minutes with Regi. Cata cries at her hija's bedside and prays that she survives. Regi stirs and mumbles. Right before Regi passed out, she caught a glimpse of PepaFina's face. "You will never interfere in my life again." Fina said.
Regi whimpers the name "Pepa" before falling unconscious again. The ladies tell the doctor that Regi told them who tried to kill her. He alerts the authorities.
Nata claims the problems between her and Jero are just typical couple stuff. Gonzo buys it. Nata runs off to take a ride with Gitana but promises to be back in time for the fiesta at Augie's. Gonzo tells Jero that Regi sends her best.
Arely, luggage in hand, tells Augie she's leaving for good. She feels sad and left out of his life. He flashes a shiny, family-heirloom bracelet in front of face and she forgives him. Arely takes it as a sign that she is important in his life. Kissy, kissy.
Adri, Carlos, and Matias watch Nata ride her horse. Mat's got a grump on as usual. If Nata knew that Jero was Berta's baby-daddy, then she would hate Jero as much as Mat does. Adri wonders Que the Hell Jero thinks Nata has a dark secret. Carlos hopes Nata confesses soon so the misery will stop.
Matilde b!tches about Nata's horse. I'm so tired of listening to her snot-nosed whining, all I hear is an annoying buzz when she talks. Anyway, she tells Lazaro that Nata is La Bonita. "You have to hate her as much as I do." Mati says. Oh, go fall in a hole.
Tony is furious that Pepa could have gotten to Regi right under his nose. It was a dumb idea to have the guards let go. Duh, Tony. Your arrogance almost got your novia killed. The Doc tells the gang that Regi is going to pull through. She was poisoned with a large dose of antifreeze. The group is horrified. Cata remembers bringing Regi coffee and greeting another woman in the room. "That woman! It was Pepa! She poisoned Regina's coffee!"
Fina is one of the dumbest criminals ever. She's retuned to the scene of the crime wearing the same outfit. She's upset Regi was not in the obituary but is glad that poor widowed Tony is still in the hospital.
Alfonsina walks in the fields with Padre. Doctor Rapeysnake threatened her son. Alfi will have Doc thrown in jail for life if he lays a finger on her Ponchito. She tells Padre that she will go to the police and tell them that Doc was drunk when he operated on Rafa. Padre says Alfi *has* to report the Doc.
Karina and Doc are at the adoption agency. Poor Karina is so, so deluded. They're given paperwork and must go through a routine inspection. They both look nervous about it.
Gonzo asks to talk to Renata about the Mat/Berta situation. She agrees but has to get ready for the party first. Carlos tells Jero about his discussion with Adri.
Detective Cantu says that both Tony and Regina's rooms will have round the clock guards. The feds are going to check if the hospital has cameras that might have caught Pepa on tape. Tony thinks this might be the proof they need to assume that Pepa was definitely the baby kidnapper and the culprit for all the grief in Regi's life.
Ines steps out to take a call from Jero. Fina and her silly wig lurk behind Ines to eavesdrop.
Ines explains the whole Regi situation and that everyone is sure that Pepa did it. Fina looks worried that the cops are on to her. She backs out the door and curses Regi for surviving.
Nata puts on her product placement makeup and talks to Adri more about the pinnacle secret. Adri agrees to try to pry more information out of the others about it.
Matilde and Matias chat. Mati wastes no time in bad mouthing Nata. "She's been terrible to Jero! They slept in separate rooms. They're not happy. She doesn't even live here anymore. After Nata's accident, she's been living at Agustin's." Matias's poor brain almost fries from information overload.
Jero gives Gonzo the news about Regina's poisoning. Gonzo is fairly calm about it since Jero assures him that Regi is out of danger. "Who could Pepa be? Why does she want to kill Regi?" Gonzo wonders. He still wants to protect Regi even though it bugs Tony. Jero asks Gonzo to be discrete about it. Jero offers to let Regi stay at the hacienda for a while. Gonzo thinks it's a great idea.
Matias gives Matilde the third degree. She swears what she said is the truth. Carlos interrupts and warns her that she had better not be spreading gossip.
Augie tells Zeke to make sure everything is in order for the fiesta. Doc and Karina arrive. Augie is surprised that Kari still gives Doc the time of day. Augie mentions that the Monterrubios are coming to the party and Doc remembers that Rafa worked for the Monterrubio company. No matter, Augie vows to make Renata his woman.
Gonzo chats with Coni on the phone. She agrees to keep an eye on Regi's recovery for him.
Renata asks Gonzo why he has such a long face. He claims it's about Berta and Matias getting married. Nata is sure that Berta slept with Mat to get back at Nata. Gonzo believes that Berta loves Matias but Mat doesn't love her back. Nata says a marriage of unrequited love is hell. Gonzo notices that Nata seems to be speaking from experience but she denies it.
Honorio gives Blanca a call. He has to see her immediately. Blanca is all too happy to oblige. They agree to meet at a café.
Fina has a panic attack while Berta frets over her. Berta calls a doctor. Looks like Fina has reason to panic since Detective Cantu caught PepaFina on the hospital security camera.
Ines gives Andrescito a hug before his operation. Cata tells Ines to be strong. Tony gives Andrescito a little encouragement before the tyke goes under the knife. Detective Cantu tells Tony they have a huge clue as to Pepa's identity.
Regi is awake, though incredibly pale. She's going to pull through. I wish I had whatever super survival gene Regina must have to still be alive after two murder attempts. Cata tells Regi she knows that Pepa did this to her.
A doctor different than the one that Fina's been paying off tells Fina she had a panic attack. She plays dumb about having anything panic-worthy happening recently. He prescribes sedatives and Berta says that her calls to Papi and Matias haven't gone through.
Honorio waits at a café for Blanca. He refuses to meet her at a "more private" location when she calls. Uh oh, Constanza just happens to be walking down the sidewalk near the café. Blanca arrives and plants a kiss on Honorio...
...just in time for Constanza to see.
Ay, dios mio, we knew something like this was going to happen!
Avances: Matias asks Renata to run away from Jero. Matias gets carried away during a fencing match with Jero.
angustiante - distressing (Gonzo to Mat)
ingerido - ingested

Pierde todo el estilo - She loses all style. (Adri about Nata)
Los niños y los borrachos, siempre dicen la verdad - Drunks and children always speak the truth. (Matias)
desvanecerse - to vanish, to fade away (Ines about Regi)
esquela - obituary (Fina about Regi)

Hmmmm, that Roberta is not subtle at all. She's a little too gloaty for her own good.
Isn't it weird how now that Tony is bedridden he's all possessive and controlling?
Oh my, love in the shower. Finally!!
This is great, "and takes a fateful sip that would make Hamlet's mother proud." Shakespeare is always welcome and adored here.
I'm glad Carlos got weird and blabby in front of Adri. I could just see her little cogs and sprockets turning.
"He's turned out to be quite useful, huh?" You took the words right out of my mouth.
Arely was a right beeyatch but she sure looked hot in her goddess getup.
As someone who has been an HR professional let me say Blanca can definitely be fired for lying on her resume. However there is still that pesky craziness that Hons has to deal with. Dang, I feel for him.
Kinda cute how Jero and Nata were wearing matching checked shirts at breakfast.
Awesome first chapter Amy. And Gitana has arrived, hooray!
Of course, it will still be a while before Regina realizes that Fina is Pepa.
So two people that I don't like have helped move the story forward: I was glad that Mati told Matias what's going on with Nata and Jero. I think Jero should have to feel the wrath of some of Nata's family members for the way he's been treating her. Bring on the fencing! (I thought it would be Augie and Jero battling with swords ever since Augie showed Nata his fencing room, but I'll take Jero and Matias.)
The other is the Doc who actually made the connection between Rafa and the Monterubios and says he will metion it to Nata's family. Finally, they will know that "their" Rafa is Jero's Rafa. Nata will surely grieve that her friend is dead, but at least it will help make it click that Jero thinks she is indeed "La Bonita".
So far she thinks he is punishing her "as if" she were La Bonita, meaning punishing any women for being like the woman who dumped his brother. She still has no idea that he actually 100% believes she IS that woman. This will help make that clearer. Along with Adri trying to get info from the others, our two girls will crack the case soon enough.
I am NOT happy with Mati spreading the nonsense of Nata being La Bonita to Laz. Nata doesn't need any more people giving her a hard time for no reason (from her point of view).
Things I'm happy about: Nata and Jero getting it on finally; Gitana arriving; and Regi surviving and seeing Pepa/Fina's face.
I didn't catch the double-episode until too late and missed the "hot" stuff on the first go-around. But I knew it was coming and I was not going to sleep last night until I saw those scenes - thank goodness for DM! And not a bad way to hit the pillow with all that going thru your head. Ah...sweet dreams.
I digress and need to cool down.
I thought I wanted to slap Mati silly the other day, now I just want to take her over my knee. Whether she serves a purpose or not in her gossiping, the way she does it and her self-righteous attitude. At this point, I don't want her anywhere near Carlos as a romantic interest until she grows up. (What was with the hanging on Matias?)
I just love Silvia so much - there are few TN heroines that are willing to get silly and be so natural. To her spot-on drunken scenes, to her laugh, to her excitement like a little kid at Christmas in seeing her Gitana (she almost scared the poor thing), she is so fun to watch go thru the emotions of this part. And can I say that woman knows her way around a horse - no slouch in handling that beautiful animal.
"Maybe a bull will get loose from the zoo and trample you for good." Anyone else starting to see shades of Fina showing up in Toni's attitude? His possessiveness and jealousy I think is going to start really showing itself. I admit, I've never liked the guy, something shifty I felt, so I feel a little justified that I wasn't totally misjudging his character.
Love the idea that Jeers ( he still Jeers to me until he drops this La Bonita is Nata crap - but I'm softening) is bringing Gina to the hacienda. That will give her a chance to bond with Nata - and won't that drive Fina even farther over the brink!! That will bring Gonzo more often too...Yeah!!
Now if Adri would just remember she has that stupid R necklace!!
So another party - and Matias trying to shishkabob Jeers. Can't wait for Monday!
(non-shoppers) John and I had spent every last penny in cash we carried buying stuff from the Native American artisans selling their goods at the Governor's Palace. We had to make a mad dash to the ATM when we finally left downtown.
A funny anecdote: Part of the fun with buying from these artists is you end up having a great chat. We were inevitably asked where we were from, and it pretty much drew a blank when we explained we lived at the very southern tip of TX at the Mexican border. You know - where the Rio Grande (which runs close to Santa Fe and through Albuquerque) dumps into the ocean? Still blank stares. None of these folks really had any idea where the Rio Grande river ends, much less heard of our end of the valley or McAllen or Brownsville. I finally concluded that once the Rio Grande river leaves New Mexico, they really don't care where it goes - LOL!
Oops - sorry - we didn't get any pics. But I do have some recent ones of my husband and me. Donation of photos to Bentsen SP - Thank you John and Audrey!! | Facebook
Audrey
So it was antifreeze? That's so funny - for some reason I thought it was an anti-coagulant and had wondered how that was gotten out of a janitor's storeroom. Now it makes sense! LOL!
Now how couldn't Regina tell her coffee had been doctored? Please!
Glad at least they believe Pepa is behind the murder attempts.
Never liked Tony. It was always all about him.
Audrey
Also, love the pics and what a great purpose in donating the photos. Wonderful!!!
I read somewhere, can't remember now, where Silvia said she and Juan Soler had a lot of fun filming some scenes. Not a rocket scientist, but I'm guessing this must have been one of them.
Sylvia: Like you, I was ready to slap Tony from here to Kingdom come. There are two Jerks in this TN and Jero is not the only one. I was rather surprised that Tony acknowledged that he would use the infos on Regina's daughter to make her stay with him. Tells you that he knows he has a very precarious hold on her feelings. Dona Cata needs to get a grip about this jerk.
There was one very small scene that was upsetting to me. Augie was speaking with Dr. Death and Kari upon their arrival. When Kari left, Augie commented to Dr. Death that he was surprised that Kari was back and that everything appeared to be OK. Dr. Death's comment was that all he had to do was show Kari who wore the pants in the family! JERK and DOUBLE JERK! My biggest hope is that the adoption agency will find out something in their investigation. For a minute during the adoption prelim interview, I thought they were going to hand over a child right then and there!
I think Kari has much more horrible things in store for her.
Seems the good padre has come to his senses because I could not believe my ears when he told Alfie that she needed to report Dr. Death! Imagine that?!
Daisynjay: I am right there with you re Matilde. That she has gotten away with her outright disrespect of her patrona is amazing. She is becoming more and more of an annoyance. I, too, would hate to see Carlos end up with her. Why is he interested anyway? Because she is the only available female left on the hacienda? Adri is a much better match for Carlos.
I'm laughing at Spare Girl. Does she honestly think that Augie wants to be with her?!
As for Silvia...I LOVE her!!! She was just fantastic last night. She made me laugh and smile. This is the kind of person one wants as their best friend. Those were just some great scenes with her and Jero last night. Loved the way they did the love scene...just loved it!
Too bad things had to be ruined by Batty Blanca, but a thousand cheers to Hon for going for the jugular and getting the infos on this woman.
Regina has been 'dying' (sorry) to meet Fina/Pepa. I can't wait for the day she finally sees her ugly, homely face! WOWSERS!!! I want Regina to get better quickly so that she can break away from Tiresome Tony.
May I say again how much I am enjoying this TN? If only the hotel room telly had closed captioning, I'd be in 7th heaven, but the fact that I have time to watch and even get Uni on the telly is good enough for me.
Amy...thank you again for a stellar recap!!
Susanita
Audrey, I'm sure Cheryl knows of this diner, but if you stand in the middle of the square, position yourself such that the area where the Native American vendors are located is to your right. As you look directly in front of you, there is a diner (I cannot remember the name!) that has the most wonderful breakfasts. I usually get the green chile omelet. It is a huge breakfast, but I use it as fuel for the day; skip lunch; do my walkabout, and then have a lovely dinner. You must try it.
Enjoy your holiday and keep us posted. :))

ITA that Fina is the dumbest criminal ever. She used to be smart but now she can't resist slithering out of the woodwork. I feel like she keeps pulling the so-far very loose noose ever tighter around her neck. She's just a little too bold for her own good. Like mother like daughter.
However she is also the luckiest. Just imagine getting to eavesdrop on a phone conversation that details you've been recognized. Sheesh!
I notice our new Adri is not as agile on the high heels as our previous one. It was painful to watch her staggering all over the lawn.
Even more painful...Matilde. Please someone shut her up!! But what the heck, I won't mind Matias getting all up in Jero's face.
Eeks, the conversation between Doc Pusaro and Augie with both of them leering completely creeped me out. All of a sudden they seemed like birds of a feather.
To my eyes it looked like the doc who treated Fina for her panic attack is the very one she is paying off. But I could be wrong.
And that last scene with Honorio and Blanca, seen by Constanza...drat!!
I laughed my head off during Nata's drunk scene, mostly because it looked like Juan Soler was on the verge of cracking up too. Silvia Navarro is a very enthusiastic actor.
Now who said Nata's dress looked good with the purple stain on the bottom? Because it DID, it looked like it was supposed to be that way. I notice Jero's pants hems were purple as well.
I so don't like Jerry that I found the love-making and partial reconciliation painful to watch. If he had repented, I might have been OK with it, but I virtually guarantee that he's got more rejection and hurt that he's waiting for an opportunity to unleash.
In fact, I think another reason that I can't stand this man is his cowardice. He is afraid to reveal his true colors to Gonzo and Matias. I'm looking forward to the swordfight.
Susanita, I agree with you that the Dr's assertion of pants wearing is disgusting but it almost pales next to surgery while drunk, spousal rape, sexual extortion, threatening to murder a child, and of course mincing about in those ridiculous pastel leisure suits and white shoes.
I'm amused but not surprised by the visceral reactions here to Matilde. It's Gardenia (MEPS) redux, and why not? She's virtually from the same mold... a beautiful, impudent, impulsive, poor but proud local girl hopelessly smitten by the galan who is clearly meant for the pretty, light-skinned, better educated rich girl we all love. She certainly has a lot of nerve... she should know her place.
Like her or not, she is certainly being useful at getting important information spread about. I really enjoyed her conversation with Matias. Perhaps a few more minutes together and they might have sorted this whole La Bonita mess out. I say let's have a conference between Matilde, Adriana, Carlos, and Matias.
Audrey, thanks for sharing your recipe for cochinita pibil... at this moment a brick-red mixture nestled in the loving embrace of banana leaves is percolating away in the crockpot on the kitchen counter.
How great that you were able to meet up with Cheryl and thanks for sharing some of your husband's photos. I love the hummingbirds.
Carlos
A good friend of mine from El Salvador said the villagers there traditionally wore clothes of thin white cotton because they were made out of the readily available flour sacks. In Alborada, you see the rural folk wearing white clothing like that too.
I think they can give the clothes a good bleach and the stains will come out - eventually.
I also enjoyed the grape stains on the bottom of the skirts and pants. Wonderful touch.
Audrey
I did enjoy the foreplay, starting with the conversation between the two of them on the bench. When Nata tried to put the earring in Jero's ear, so funny. They clearly were at ease and had a lot of fun with the scenes, both of them. It just added to the characters' pull toward each other. Then, undoing Renata's dress, giggling and stumbling, but once in the shower, they got right down to business. I really wanted to see another really good BESO on the lips.
Did anyone notice that Matilde kept referring to the refresco she served Matias as agua? But it was yellow. Not the same.
I'm with Audrey in that the veneno Fina used on Gina was an anti-coagulant--as in rat poison--cumadin. That would also have been readily available at their estate. Anti-freeze is usually pink, but then, they have made color mistakes before (see above).
That Fina never ceases to amaze me. She must have a huge closet just for costumes, wigs, fake glasses, etc.
Even though I saw it coming, when Berta pushed Diego into the pool, the cackle afterwards reminded me of juvenile highjinks.
If that was Sylvia N. on Gitana, she is an accomplished rider, riding a well trained mount. We didn't actually see her up close, so it could have been a double. Juan S., on the other hand, bounces a bit too much and falls off--but he did it himself.
Poor Hon, the harder he tries to do the right thing, the tighter Batty Blanca turns the vise. Big mistake to meet in a public place, no? Who woulda thunk it.
This is a sweet onion of a telenovela, the writers keep letting the characters peel off the layers a bit at a time to reveal more and more of the core mysteries. We have been spared extreme estupideses.

Antifreeze is much more rapid although I don't think it works quite as quickly as it did here. It is also much more difficult to treat and is often fatal even if it is discovered early as veterinarians will attest.
Carlos
“Mystery Woman *coughFinacough* ……” I roared with laughter, brilliant, brilliant!
Amy, as you talk back to fictional characters, I literally put my glass of RED wine down, got up from my couch, wearing my white peasant top (I dressed for the festivities) went to the TV and literally tried to slap Matilde. I wanted her waltz off the screen and back to wherever she came from. On more than one occasion last night, I might say. And yes, she does sound like the buzzing bug I just heard when I went out to get the mail a little while ago. ANNOYING!
It’s funny how, or did I miss this part in an earlier episode, that Renata doesn’t seem to remember losing her R necklace on her wedding day, but remembers the earrings. That Adri has the necklace, I missed that somewhere. (Thanks Daisynjay!)
Did y’all notice the bad lighting or cake makeup on Dona Cata during her last scene I think of the second hour? Her neck was slightly darker than her face. Hee!
Have a good weekend all!
Valeena
Valeena--I'm waiting anxiously, too, for Renata to remember her R necklace, but it's probably not high on her list of worries right now.
She only got the earrings the night before from Auggie. Remember he designed them and had them made up with her in mind, but delalyed in picking them up from the jewelers in DF (where Jeero saw them). While waiting for the right moment to give them to her, Arely found them and created some complications for him.
Conversaciones: Jeero threw the earring at Auggie and told him in no uncertain terms that the only men who could give his mujer/esposa jewelry were her father and himself. So, don't do it again.
When Auggie jabbed sneeringly that their marriage was a sham, Jeero replied, just as sneeringly, that that was his affair, not Auggie's.

It's a gorgeous day and I ought to be outside weeding the garden.
I was watching the show on a big screen tv in high def, that was indeed Silvia N. on that horse even in the long shots. Either that, or she has a twin sister who is a stunt double.
I meant to post this clip of Silvia and Juan goofing around on twitter after thursday's epidode, but I've been stuck doing research work and I missed it. The image gets still for a minute but you can still hear them and then it comes back again.
I do think the vendimia dresses were meant to get dirty. They did look good. Matilde annoys me but I do like her, although I wonder how much it is that I just like the actress. She is extremely nice in real life. This is a great cast, Silvia Navarro said that in her career only two novelas have felt like she is not working at all and istead she's having fun with her friends, and one of these was Cuando Me Enamoro.

Is it a telenovela rule that a good character must when using a phone tell secrets useful to the bad characters in a loud enough voice that said bad person can be right up close and why oh why don't they ever turn around first to make sure they are alone. I would do that and I am therefore not in any telenovalas, sheesh!
Jarocha thanks for the twitcam. Now isn't Juan Soler as sweet and fun there as you could want a galan to be. I am so glad to see he is a real life darling. Interesting too that you mention our other polarizing character Matilde and I'm eqully glad that she is a nice person when out of character. She gets to me from my feminist expectations that a good, true strong woman is honorable from prepubescent stages and by 13 her character is already on the path of righteousness. Then Matilde acts bratty like she isn't even 13 so it is hard to like her except she is pretty. But Carlos is absolutely right that she is serving the plot to convey messages between parties so at least Matias and Gonzo won't go home thinking Renata is doing splendidly.
Meeting Audrey and John was so super. Thanks to you both. We had so many fun things to talk about and the time went so quickly that I was a block away from the plaza before I realized I hadn't pulled my camera out to get pictures of us to share. Safe journeys! I look forward to future adventures with butterflies, dragonflies, birds, etc. Wasn't Meester Jim a hoot in Alla? One of my favorite Santa Fe characters.
Susanita, I eat breakfast in that Plaza side cafe every August at the beginning of Indian Market. It's the only place I know where the breakfast remind me of my childhood road trips with family. And it is still authentic and relatively cheap. Thanks the Folk Art Market was incredibly beautiful with such lovely people proudly displaying their arts.
It seems we are all asking "What does Carlos see in Matilda?" but no one can answer that. It certainly is not for her singing. Wasn't her prance through the hacienda howling Cuando Me Enamoro just excruciating?! I do hope he and Adri get together.
I think Fallon II (oops, had an 80's Dynasty deja vu, shoulder pads and all) I mean Adri II is fitting in nicely. She and Renata play off each other really well. Do we know how Wendy Gonzalez hurt her knee? Did it involve yellow platforms?
Did anyone else pick up on Spare Girl's usage of "my" house. A little presumptuous. She needs to just keep on walking with that maleta.
I loved your reference to Titanic with the shower hands. But, the best "hands on glass" scene has to go to the end of Time Travelers Wife. That's what I thought of when I saw that scene.
So, I want to thank Mike for coming up with the name Rosemary la Otra for me. So much better than "A different Rosemary" and, really, who wants to be called #2? We have enough of I and II with the Adri s, the Fallons, the Beckys from Roseann and the Darrin s from Bewitched.
Tasha
Amy...you deserve a raft of gold stars for the work you did on this one. And I see you're managing to snag photos without those pesky little symbols in the corner. So you're not taking them off the internet? Or you've found another way? Anyway, terrific job and so well written. Muchas gracias.
@Jarocha..thanks for the link, but when I clicked on it, I needed a password to "prove" it was my youtube account, so I couldn't see it. But thanks for trying...
@Vivi...Wow..that really was Silvia on the horse. I assumed a double since she was clearly so talented. Ah well...there's nothing that woman can't do!
There sure were some pithing contests going on during the fiesta and I sure that it will continue on to the next episode.
Someone needs to put a muzzle on Matilde. She decided that Jero was her one and only from a photo? She has a real problem.
I do like the new Adri, she and Renata seem to really like each each other and have had some great scenes together.
Rosemary la Otra, too funny. My best friend growing up lived across the street and was named Rosemary. When were together at my house I was #1 and when were at her house she was #1. It always confused everyone! Thanks goodness she is the only other Rosemary I have known well. There are not that many of us.
I LOL when Gonzo wondered who Pepa was?
Rosemary #1
""What does Carlos see in Matilda?"
Thanks for asking.
In almost every TN there seems to be a beautiful young woman who seems to rub everyone the wrong way, but who is full of life... cheeky, bold, impudent or even insolent... and sometimes (as in the case of Coni in un Gancho and there are those who would say Gardenia in MEPS) even borderline evil. For some reason I develop a fondness and protective attitude for these ladies.
Always, by the end of the show almost everyone else seems to come to like this character.
I honestly am not trying to be contrary and I don't force the matter... in TdA for example, I have not found such a character to champion. A candidate was Ofelia, but she didn't last long enough and I never really developed an affection for Linda who also didn't last long.
You all (well most all) will eventually join me in my adoration of Matilde and will cheer when she finally settles for Carlos (or perhaps Matias?). She'll also certainly end up as one of Renata's best chums.
During MEPS and FELS there were a few who seemed to take my unpopular preferences personally, but for the most part the gentle friendly folks here at Caray Caray either good-naturedly indulge my eccentricity or ignore me altogether.
Carlos
Judy- It sounds like you've been having fun with family. How wonderful!
Carlos- I love when you defend the bad girls who will eventually be redeemed! It's a shame you're not watching Teresa because our heroine is a bad girl who has divided the audience as well. Not sure if she'll be redeemed in the end or not.
Carlos, it is perfectly okay for you cheer on the bad girls. After all some one has to be in their corner.
Rosemary
@Carlos...keep on defending the Bad Girls. Yes, I'm sure we'll all end up adoring Matilde in the end. Not so sure about Arely though.
Now the big question: Is Roberta redeemable? You haven't been sticking up for her. Is that because you think she's forever evil?
Renata was making me think of that song "Red, Red Wine." I'm glad she finally got to have a good time, for once. She needs to convince Matias and Adriana to stay longer so Jero will have to be on company behavior longer. Also so Matias can stay away from Roberta, and Adri and Carlos can get acquainted and do some sleuthing.
I liked Adriana's dress the best. If those dresses won't bleach back to white, they should just soak the whole thing in grape juice and have purple dresses. They were so pretty it would be a shame to never wear them again.
I'm usually fond of the spunky bratty girls, too. I greatly prefer them to the sobbing sadsacks. I still like Matilde, although she does need to stop drinking Jero's Kool-Aid and stop abusing Renata along with him. I don't like Roberta as much because she just isn't fun.
Carlos
As for Matilde, it's her mouth that bothers me...the mouth that won't stop. I suspect she won't turn a new leaf until she has to experience the likes of Roberta and Fina. She might be singing a different tune then.
Cheryl: How wonderful that we like the same diner on the Plaza in Santa Fe! It feels like such a homey type place to me, too. I am so glad you had a lovely time!
Re: the antifreeze. Like Dr. Carlos, I, too, was surprised that Regina recovered so quickly. She almost drank the entire cup of coffee!!
Susanita
Would the Lovely Linda be willing to share her corn relish recipe? That sounds like something I'd really like to make. :))
We all had a virtual party with you!
Susanita
Yep - one of the most wonderful things about cooking with achiote paste is the COLOR! (oh yeah - smell and flavor too!)
I have done another dish that uses the naranja agria with achiote paste and banana leaves. Tikin-Xic is the name of the dish. You rub a achiote paste/sour orange marinade on fish fillets, wrap them in a banana leaf packet, and grill them. I did it once and it came out wonderfully. I'll have to do it again. I think it's in one of my Rick Bayless cookbooks. His recipe might be on the web.
If you ever travel to Austin, visit Fonda San Miguel restaurant for a lovely sampling of food from the Yucatan. If you can make their Sunday brunch, even better. Outrageously expensive brunch but an incredible dining experience. Their regular menu isn't quite so pricey. It was my first experience of food from the Yucatan and I never looked back. 30 years ago when I first started eating there it wasn't an expensive place at all and the brunch was a steal. Things change!
Audrey
I'd love to have the corn relish recipe too.
Carlos: Recipe for corn relish por fa!
Susanita
Yes, Carlos, I am glad somoene like you is a champion of the bad girls. For my part, I do still like Chema even though he is not really good for Connie. I am hoping she and Honorio can do a truce that cancels out both indiscretions though his is consummated (well sort of not by fee will). But maybe it will make it easier for them to forgive each other.
I can't figure out where Nata will go with her next choice. I don't think Jero is anywhere near ready to face facts, forgive deeply or any of that grown up stuff.
Most of those white dresses could easily have been informal bridal wear. However, the men's white clothes remind me too much of PJs. Or scrubs.
Not surprised that Batty blanca set up on to be caught with her like that by Coni.
What did throw me for a surprise Fina as everyone has mentioned going back to her scene of the crime in the same get up. Too stupid for words.
Minor surprise Regina when your drink taste off like that you don't keep slurping it and hoping the taste improves.
Auggie surprise me also by keeping spare girl with enticing her with the family heirloom i suppose he wants to keep giving Renata the impression that they are a couple. Not surprise spare girl fell for this and she doesn't realize he really didn't make a formal commitment to her.
Nor am i surprise that Diego didn't make a copy of that recorded message what a dope. But i do see perhaps on the horizon a possible pairing of Diego and Stalking Selene who it seems mommy dearest is encouraging her evil spawn to drop as a friend. If these two get together to get revenge upon Roberta now that would be enjoyable.
Tell me when was the last time we all seen a character act this intelligent in a novela like this before boy was i surprise he got to this thinking real quick in most other novelas he doesn't think this until it's Ultimas Semanas.
It's a big storm a heading to Coni's and Hon's marriage now.\
Now for the last surprise is i didn't think the way they had Renata lie to save face that all was ok with her marriage that her family would find out this early the true state of her marriage so soon. Most of all by Matias no less.
This interesting dynamic throws a new wrinkle in the storyline, he knows now that Renata is lying about her marriage to Jerko. Can he convince her to walk away from the previews it doesn't look it.
Renata to me is wrong in her attitude she has no right to feel wronged that Matias was with Roberta she did after all reject Matias. Once again this is her pride getting in her way and not seeing that all Matias wants is the best for her.Her acting jealous is not helping and it's also going to continue her staying with the jerk out of wounded pride.
Something tells me he will go through with the marriage to Roberta even though i don't want it to happen. All for Renata's sake.
Diego and Selene against Roberta? I like it.
Renata was great and i just love the naturalness of Sylvia Navarro acting it feels like she is one of your best friends you can't wait to see.
Susanita i suggested that the other day that the little brat needs to experience the gruesome twosome to appreciate what a great patrona she has in Renata. Jerko just might finally throw her off the hacienda for telling Matias the true state of his marriage to him. He has warned her repeatedly to stop her gossiping.
That was the same Dr. Fina has bought off for her fake illness. It would be something like others have mention if she really does have a terminal illness.
Interesting Jerko offering to let Regina stay with him as she recovers. But i can't see Tony letting her go there by herself i see hi maybe tagging along.
This would be great for Regina to bond more with her long lost daughter. It might very well be Tony if he does tag along who discovers first that Renata is the daughter that Regina is looking for and a way for him to keep her tied to him by her being grateful to him like he wants.
The problem is if Regina does stay with Jerko will he continue to be abusive to Renata with her staying since she did warn him not to go through with the marriage to her if that's what his plan was. She's not going to be in support of him being like this with Renata.
Can Adri find out the secret before she leaves? Will she happen to stumble upon the tree with the carving? Only Auggie and spare girl know about the carving right now?
Diego and Stalker Selene...oh my...they could give Roberta a run for the money, couldn't they?
As I was looking at Conehead Andresito the other day, I was thinking that CME must have been filmed before "Eva Luna". The Andresito character was Adriansito in EL. He looked much older in EL.
...and Blu...like you, I love that we have some thinking characters in this TN! THANK YOU WRITERS!!! Your TN public thanks you profusely for this!
Susanita
P.S. If anyone knows where to find a dress like those we saw at the vendimia (especially Renata's) send the infos my way!!
The Lovely Linda's Corn Relish
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup chopped red onion

3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
*Heat oil in skillet over medium heat
*Add onion and jalapeños and sauté for 1 min.
*Add corn and sauté until veggies are slightly softened (about 4 to 5 min)
*Remove from heat and toss with remaining ingredients
*Cool
This tastes refreshing these hot days.
Judy,
"Is Roberta redeemable?"
I think that Roberta has an unusual yet striking beauty. She also (like Coni in Gancho) reminds me of an old girlfriend. Unfortunately Roberta is a mope. She just doesn't seem to have any spark or an original thought. Now if she would busy herself cooking up something devious rather than going along with Fina's blueprint for her life... well, maybe I'd get on board. I think that she could benefit from some Paxil.
Audrey, when we were on Isla Mujeres a couple of years ago, we spent the day at an island bird sanctuary and our boat captain and guides made Tikin-Xic for us using freshly caught red snapper right there on the beach. It was the best fish I've ever eaten.
We go to Austin fairly often but have never been to Fonda San Miguel. y profa is moving to Austin to be near her sister... sob... so when we visit we'll take her there.
Carlos
I think your description of Roberta is perfect: Roberta the Mope! HA!
Susanita
And we all enjoy your defense of the lovely ladies. It's interesting to see them from your view, since it mpost likely how Carlos and other men see her. For us females, and mothers, we want to wash her mouth out with soap, but that doesn't mean she won't learn her lesson. I"m sure you're right that eventually we'll all be in your corner....
J - thanks for the clip. I also watched some of the clips with him and the kids - he seems so down to earth and funny. He's definitely doing a bang up acting job here to make us believe he's such an ass. Will be fun if we get to see more of the crazy/funny side of he and SN as this TN goes along.
I have made a copy of Lovely Linda's Corn Relish, thanks.
Next, we need to talk Audrey out of her Cochinita Pibil and Pickled Onion receipes.
I can't believe you got rain, not a drop here, just lovely clouds. We keep hoping.
Rosemary
@Newbie-One-Kanobe Yes, yes, yes, I remember now Jero looking at them in the store, yes, yes. Another scene where I got called out of the room, but came in to see him with them.
@Audrey y Susanita. [name drop alert!] Re: Rick Bayless. I had the opportunity to meet Rick at our local PBS station in Chapel Hill a few years back, for the annual Festival ‘beg-a-thon’. I had checked to see the in studio celeb’s where going to be that month and lo and behold it were Rick on a Sunday. He’s as nice as you see him on his show. He made or his staff rather made taco’s, for the ‘phone answering pledge takers’ totally yummy and signed my copy of Mexico Everyday cookbook. AND, he is now filming his new show for PBS in Baja, and I think it will show some of the wine country. I think it will air in the fall.
They went with the name of a friend, Vinette (Vivi is one of many nicknames friends and family call me). I'm just glad they didn't name me after my aunt Vertibelle. *shiver* :)
I am a huge Rick Bayless fan, and I always suspected he had a super high IQ, but I was blown away with an interview I watched. Did you know he did doctoral work in anthropological linguistics before lauching his food career? The depth of the guy's knowledge is incredible.
Tikin Xic from fresh red snapper on the beach after visiting a bird sanctuary? Wow! Well you just can't beat that!
Audrey
Love the Valeena story, the Vinette story and Carlos' "Roberta the Mope"
And I wish I lived next door to the lovely Linda or to Audrey and could cadge some of their great cooking from time to time! 'Cause I'm not going to make it...but I'd sure love to eat it. Gracias for all the fun stories y'all.
Audrey: Why am I not surprised Rick and his other intellectual pursuits?! That is just fabulous.
I wonder if he has a cooking school or some such associated with his Frontera Grill in Chicago. I've been thinking for some time now that I am going to look into this. Can you imagine what fun it would be to learn from him?!

Enjoy!
I loved the recap. Excellent, and a lot of work doing a double. Thanks.
All this wonderful food talk made me salivate. I'm not much of a cook but really want to try the terrific sounding recipes. Judy, I'll pick you up and we'll go see Carlos or Audrey (or Cheryl or Sylvia) and beg them to cook for us!
Valeena and Vivi, I love your V stories. Vertically, huh? I'll bet you could have handled it. My mom wanted to name me Maria Christina Victoria Regina Sylvia! Good thing my dad got to the birth certificate first! (I would have had a V name, at least)
Carlos, I agree with you about Mati. Once she is brought down a peg or two she'll be fine. She is so cute, at least on those rare occasions when she smiles. Roberta, meh, no fun.
Rosemary la Otra, de nada, el gusto es mio. Confession: the last girl I dated before Emilia came along was named Rosemary.
OK, so now there is some concession that the pretty vendimia dresses may be salvaged through the use of bleach? Let's follow CLX (Clorox) on the stock market tomorrow and see if it recovers from Friday's 0.35% decline.
Does anyone think the Casa Monterrubio is a dark cold dreary abode?
Matilde is reminiscent of the young things who were referred to as "saucy baggage" in the naughty Victorian novels that got passed around the dorm in college. Indeed, it is but short work to imagine the application of the matron's hairbrush or birch rod to Matilde's impudent bum.
As long as I'm reminiscing... Spare Girl Arely is a dead ringer for a very troubled young woman that I knew in the Air Force many years ago. In fact, some of Arely's selfishness is a little too deja vu of this individual.
Carlos, 1) thanks for the info on A&E's son. I must have missed seeing him, and, 2) I've been wanting to slow cook a pork shoulder on the grill. I may try to adapt the citrus marinade and spices towards that end.
I think traditionally cochinita pibil is cooked in a covered earth pit. Steve Raichlen, the BBQ bible guy on PBS, did an episode of his PBS show Primal Grill featuring pork butt/shoulder on the grill. One of them was cochinita pibil wrapped in banana leaves.
Here is a link to the recipe from that episode which includes several versions of pork shoulder: PIT-ROASTED PORK IN THE STYLE OF THE YUCATN (PIBIL)
I'm going to try it that way one of these days now that I have a proper grill.
For more amusing how-tos on making cochinita pibil, check out this video from movie director Robert Rodriquez. He slow-roasts his in the oven. The dish was featured in his movie "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" - in fact it played a starring role. The movie DVD includes a cute trailer where Rodriguez explains HIS technique for making his favorite dish and his philosophy of life. (FYI some adult language) YouTube - 10 minute cooking school: Puerco Pibil
Rodriguez makes his own achiote paste because he thinks the pre-made stuff is weak. Not my experience at all - El Yucateco brand achiote paste is quite intense. He also adds a splash of tequila - LOL - not exactly traditional, but who cares! As you can see there are MANY ways to approach this dish.
As you can tell, I have thoroughly researched this topic. LOL!
Audrey
I love Robert Rodriguez's recipe. It is the one upon which I based my own. Currently I prefer grinding my own achiote paste with two caveats: 1) The annatto seeds should be fresh. The first time I did my own I might have gotten an old packet of seeds as there didn't seem to be much flavor. It was just that one time though. 2) One needs to grind them a LOT otherwise the paste can be kind of gritty. Not good. Last time I added a splash of Mezcal instead of Tequila only because that's what I had. Did it make the dish taste better? I thought it seemed a bit smokier but it could have been my imagination.
I'll try the El Yucateco brand of paste sometime. It sounds wonderful.
I have a friend who has something called a Big Green Egg. It's some sort of BBQ or smoker. I had brought a dish of pibil to a pot-luck and he said he would consider making it for a Big Green Egg cook-off (I was really pushing for this). He ultimately decided to cook something else but guess which dish won the cook-off? Yep, somebody made cochinita pibil and won!
The Raichlen recipe looks amazing. I'll have to get up the nerve to try it on the grill sometime.
Sadly no, I don't live in Chapel Hill. I live about 55 miles north in beautiful but played out rural Warren County. My parents bought property and dragged me kicking and screaming from NJ 34 years ago. I escaped (LOL) back to NJ when I was 23 in 1984, and stayed there until 2002 when my mom's health was declining. I was lucky enough to meet my second husbad Miguel (his last name got me, right?-LOL) that year here in sleepy Warren county, too.
Now, as I have mentioned in an earlier post, we're in the process of moving to Baja, hence my burning interest in all things Baja-LOL.
Valeena
My Tivo shows that CME is on at 7:00 tonight on the West Coast but 8:00 tomorrow after Futbol Copa. Last time Futbol pushed CME out it ran late and into Teresa's time slot.
NOK
Plus they are advertising the kid show on Friday at 9pm so i guess no TDA boy are they dragging that one out.
