Caray, Caray!

REPRISE
In the reprisal scene from last night, Fito is at Geno’s house and they are plotting the kidnapping of Esperanza’s baby. Fito assures Geno after he delivers the child, she will not see him again. Geno tells Fito the baby will be born within 2 ½ months at Santillana Hospital, so he can take the baby there or at the mother’s home.

Fito spots the picture of Paulo and is stunned. Geno asks him what’s wrong. Fito shakes it off and they continue talking. Geno pays Fito some money, gives him a photo and details about the target. Fito is surprised to see the mark is Esperanza. He thinks to himself, that Espe means the world to Johnny, and now it is payback time. They make plans to get in touch when the date approaches, then Fito scurries off like a cockroach.

Mariano and Aida are having a chat at a local café. Mariano tells Aida he told Johnny to turn in Fito, but it seems Fito escaped, and now Johnny can’t leave Mariano’s apartment yet. Aida understands but is frustrated. Aida confesses that although she is very hurt by what Ruben has done and vocal about her disdain, deep down she still loves him, and feels bad about pressing charges against him.

ESPERANZA’S APARTMENT
Esperanza and Juana are having a chat. Esperanza is lamenting that Patty was going to organize the baby- shower and was very excited about it, but now there’s this situation with Johnny, and well you know, it is a well-documented fact that Johnny is a complete dumbass. Juana assures her it’s going to be fine, not to worry, and yes, Johnny is quite the dumbass.

They discuss that Teresa knows about Johnny’s situation and is going to help him out. Esperanza says Johnny is still really worried. And he’s a dumbass.

Juana is looking at images from Esperanza’s sonogram, says the baby looks perfect and asks her what the doctor said. Esperanza says everything went well, and by the way, she wants to name her baby Rodrigo.

Juana asks Esperanza why she looks sad and surprisingly she says she is thinking about Ruben. She laments that she is concerned that her son has a father like Ruben. Juana points out that Hernan will actually be in the father role.

Unbeknownst to them Hernan is walking in without knocking as Esperanza says it saddens her and is horrible that Ruben is in jail. Hernan reacts with stunned jealousy as Esperanza sees him, and exasperated, knows that what she said must have sounded bad to Hernan. Juana exits stage right.

Hernan says, “So, Ruben is in jail.” Esperanza replies, “Yes, but please Hernan, don’t get me wrong. Look, I was sad not just for him, but for my son because it is a pity that he’s got a father like Ruben.” Hernan says that he doesn’t know what more he can do to make Esperanza forget about Ruben. Hernan can’t understand how Esperanza, who is unable to leave her house because of her pregnancy, still manages to know what’s going on with Ruben. Hernan storms out and Esperanza looks on with concern.

MARIANO'S DELUXE APARTMENT IN THE SKY
Refugio, Crudberto, Johnny-the-Dumbass, and Too-Hot Patty (that’s my knick name for Patty, as she’s “too hot” for Johnny), are sitting around having a tedious chat, while I am checking out Gloria Aura. The group is happy that Johnny and Patty are back together again, something good came out of it because the police arrested Gema and are hunting Fito, Johnny learned a lesson about communicating openly with his wife – excuse me – YAAAWWWWN – and Crapberto is still undecided about whether he is back to stay or if he will return to his hometown. He knows Juana plans to marry Hector, but the group says he should seriously talk with her before deciding to go back.

With that, Refugio says she is off to see her shark-daughter and Crackberto says he will go with her.

After they leave, Johnny and Patty comment that it is obvious Crummyberto still loves Juana.

Johnny then gets a call from Mariano who gives him the news that the police raided Fito’s apartment, found drugs and money, but Fito was gone. Johnny says they are safe at Mariano’s place, but Patty reminds him they can’t stay there forever.

BARRERA HOUSE
Arturo and Teresa come home after a long day at work. They agree about going forward with their demands regarding Saenz, and will need to see if it is accepted; however they must file the motion in court by tomorrow. Arturo says he feels closer to Tiburoncita than ever before.


AURORA’S HOUSE
Vanessa’s suitcase is packed and she is about to leave as Aurora enters. Vanessa confirms she is leaving and Aurora interrupts asking, “What do you want? Need more money? Sorry but I cannot expect otherwise.” Vanessssssa says she knows she can’t stay, but swears that is what she wanted the most.
Aurora points out that Vanessa’s bad decisions are to blame. Vanessa says she knows she has no place in Aurora’s life, but asks for her forgiveness. Vanessa acknowledges that she did a lot of damage to Aurora, but if it is any consolation, Aurora is not at all broken and has many good qualities. They say their final goodbyes, shed a few tears and Vanesssssa slithers away.

BARRERA HOUSE
Arturo and Teresa are in their home office actually working. Teresa’s mom shows up with Crudberto in tow. Teresa is annoyed at the interruption but Arturo points out that at least she has a descent mother, unlike Aurora.

Teresa walks into the foyer and tells Refugio that they are busy working and asks what they want. Refugio says she wants to give an update about Johnny and Patty. Refugio tells Teresa they are staying at Mariano’s apartment. Teresa snarls that she wants that rapscallion Fito to get caught and rot in jail.

Meanwhile, Juana enters and she and Creepberto go off to another room to talk. Juana says that as sponsors, it is assumed they are going to be close to Patty and Johnny, but no, Scumberto runs off without saying goodbye. Crapberto says not to worry, he’s staying in Mexico and asks Juana if that bothers her. She of course says she doesn’t care. As they are talking, Refugio walks in and says it is time to go.
Teresa asks Juana “When is that Mariachi filth going to return to his hometown?” Juana tells her he is not going back, and Teresa is visibly annoyed.

NEXT MORNING AT BARRERA HOUSE
The scene opens with Teresa and Arturo in bed as they are awakened by a cheap alarm clock. They agree they can stay in bed a little longer and celebrate that they are on the verge of taking the Saenz issue forward. Then Teresa proceeds to take Arturo “forward”.


AURORA’S HOUSE
Aurora is telling Aida that it is amazing how everyone but her realized from the beginning that her mom was a sleazy reptilian con-artist trollop. Aida says the same thing happened to her with Ruben. Aurora says, “No Aida, mine was worse.” (You are correct Aurora; you were indeed truly pathetic.) Aida says she is there to apologize because of what she said the other day [at the club]. She says what they are both going through is super hard, that they understand each other’s pain and this unites them.

BARRERA HOUSE
Teresa is walking out of the front gate and FITO is waiting for her. He sarcastically greets her and she asks what he wants. He said he had to stop his business because of Johnny, and now he of course wants more money. Teresa asks what that has to do with her and why she should help him. Fito brings up the Paulo blackmail line and says he will make good on his threat. Teresa says he may be interested to know other people are also out to arrest him, like Paulo’s mom.

Fito points out that they can help each other, to which Teresa snaps she doesn’t need anything from Fito. But Fito points out that down the road if Teresa is not happy with Arturo, he could arrange for Teresa to become a widow, and she would then inherit Arturo’s home and fortune. Teresa tells Fito to stop saying stupid things. He says she could be a widow and wouldn’t have to worry about getting pregnant to inherit Arturo’s money, “all this would be yours my queen.” But right now he wants her to get out her checkbook and give him some money.

Teresa makes her way back inside, and gasps that Fito is going to cause big problems. She then picks up her cell phone and calls the police on him. Fito hears the police sirens and scurries off, saying under his breath that Teresa will pay for this.

HOSPITAL
Aurora is walking down the hall with Mariano and again lamenting that her mom just returned for money. Mariano is sorry this happened and says many times we are blinded by thinking that a person we care about would be unable to betray us, but then we find out otherwise. Aurora takes a jab and says, you mean like when you went with Teresa? Mariano says the point is that although there are people who hurt us, there are others that unconditionally are with us and always helping us succeed.

Aurora asks, what he’s talking about. Mariano says, “the world is smaller than you think, and believe it or not, I know many more people than you think.” Aurora says, “I thought that the person who came from the foundation was already here.” Mariano replies, “Quiet, I said he was parking...” Just then as Aurora is asking who is this person, Martin walks in and says, “Bonjour, mademoiselle.”
Aurora is glad to see him and they embrace. Martin says, “Had I known I was going to have this reception, I would have arrived sooner.”

Aurora whines to Martin about her loser mom. Martin tells her he thought about her a thousand times, writing her name and remembering her smile. They talk some more and after catching up on things like Arturo being worried about the foundation and what not, Martin says he has reached the conclusion that he can’t be without Aurora, and she gives him a passionate kiss. I am officially jealous.

PRISON
Geno tells Rubigote, “You have to leave soon, my love, so that we can be together and enjoy our son.”

Ruben reminds her he needs money in the meantime to continue paying for protection. They confirm Geno had met with their “contact” for their kidnapping scheme.

MAYRA’S HOUSE
Aida begins to vent to Mayra that she thought she would feel better with her dad in prison, but the truth is, she doesn’t. Mayra says, she understands, but they did what they had to do.

Just then, Geno walks in and says she visited Ruben. She tells her Ruben is very sorry and wants to see her. They discuss how money was moved around for the Turquoise Moon project and how that business is in Ruben’s name. Mayra says she will tell the lawyer to tell Ruben that before they discuss forgiveness, they must put Turquoise Moon in Aida’s name. Aida is a little apprehensive but Mayra says that Aida would eventually have to take care of that business anyway. She says money is not what worries her, but rather recovering her self-worth as a woman. Mayra says she needs Ruben to understand that he should not have played with her the way that he did.
Geno the back-stabber says she disagrees; the first sign of a focused, mature woman is forgiveness, and what people are saying… Mayra interrupts and says she doesn’t care what people are saying; it is more important that Ruben pay for what he did. Geno says, “Well you’ve changed, Mayra.” Mayra says yes she has, and congratulates herself.

MARIANO’S APARTMENT
Mariano, Johnny and Too-Hot are having dinner. Johnny is anxious to return to work at the vecindad as he doesn’t want to lose his job, plus he needs to work on his taxi, as he needs to make money. Mariano suggests he stay at his place a few more days.

BARERRA HOUSE
Juana brings Teresa some hot tea in her home office. Teresa reinforces the earlier theme they cannot lose the Saenz case; that they just need to bring some papers, add some data and present it to the judge and stay ready.


AURORA’S HOUSE
Aurora tells Martin that she missed him, but just like before... Martin interrupts and Sshh’s her; he asks her to hold off on what she was saying and let him be happy for one day. He tells her how it seemed unfair that he couldn’t see her and touch her. (Funny, I think the exact same thing every time I see AnaBrenda.) Martin says, “I never thought I’d say this, Aurora, but I want to give our relationship another chance.”

Martin tells Aurora that he is her best option in life, but she just doesn’t know it yet. Aurora says she realizes now that she had a lot of fun with Martin. Then Martin confirms that they are officially back together as a couple and will try again. He says, “That this may be the definitive one, that we will get married or let me die of love for you. You do not want to take that guilty conscience, I assure you.” And the lucky S.O.B. gets to kiss AnaBrenda again.

MARIANO'S APARTMENT
Back at Mariano’s apartment the doorbell rings, and surprise, it's Teresa. Mariano says, “Now, what do you want Teresa? I don’t understand why you insist on seeing me.” She explains she is there at the request of her mom to talk with Johnny, but if her presense bothers him so much, she’ll leave.

Mariano stops her and says he forgot for a moment that Johnny and Patty were there. Mariano leaves to go get them.

Just then, the doorbell rings and Teresa looks out the peep-hole and sees that it’s Aida, and she is giddy with delight at this opportunity to irritate Aida. Teresa opens the door and says in a bubbly tone, “Hi Aida, how are you?” Steam is rising from Aida’s head.

PRISON
Geno tells Ruben that Mayra seems stronger and more determined than ever. Ruben wants to know how Geno intends to help him. Geno reminds him that it is not her fault that he is in this situation. Geno tells him that Mayra wants Ruben to give up his share of Turquoise Moon as part of what he owes. Ruben says “no way.” He says a little shark filed a complaint in the College of Notaries and he could lose his patent. Geno says, he should see what can be done because for now, the important thing is to get out of jail. Ruben asks, “Love, you could not provide enough to pay what I owe Mayra?” Geno tells him no, and that part of her assets depend on the sales of Turquoise Moon condos to re-capitalize. She warns Mayra will be coming by to talk to him about this, and on top of that, Mayra wants to transfer Turquoise Moon to Aida.

MARIANO'S APARTMENT
Teresa asks if Aida is surprised to see her. Aida takes the opportunity to call her a RRRRRRRata and that Teresa probably invented some pretext to get into Mariano’s apartment. Just then, Mariano, Johnny & Patty arrive. Aida and Mariano leave. Angelique Boyer is standing there looking fine in a tight gray top showing off the two “silly-cone” flotation devices in her chest. They look more inflated than normal today.

Patty says Johnny is worried about what he has to say when called to testify against Fito. Teresa snarls with fiery disdain about how she wants Fito caught by the police and in jail. Johnny & Patty are startled by her shark teeth.
Teresa tells Johnny that she will not be his attorney but she will arrange to have an attorney who is more experienced in criminal law assist him free of charge. She tells him he has to say that he was dealing drugs without even knowing about it, and as soon as he discovered, he made the complaint.

Teresa excuses herself go to see a friend who also lives in the building, and well, his girlfriend too. Johnny is leaving, just as Crudberto is walking in and he says he will leave with Johnny.

Johnny and Curdberto go stumbling out to the elevator and act like a couple of goofy buffoons as they meet up with Teresa. While they are waiting for the elevator, Johnny goes on about how without Teresa’s help he would really be in trouble with his delivering drugs. Of course, the elevator opens while he is saying this and Oriana is there, observing the whole spectacle with disdain.

Oriana says, “Well, I'm starting to know your friends just fine.”

Teresa explains she is just helping the buffoons with legal advice. Oriana asks our buffoons if they are friends of Teresa’s. Johnny says his sister is Teresa’s best friend.

Teresa is mortified of course and doesn’t want to admit she even knows Johnny, especially in front of Oriana. Crapberto then offers Oriana his card in case she ever needs a buffoon Mariachi. Oriana sneers and rejects his card. She then says if Teresa wants to interact with Oriana’s crowd, then she needs to lose her vecindad friends. As Oriana is leaving, Creepberto and Johnny continue to say inappropriate things and Teresa, yells at them to go away.


BARERRA HOUSE
Arturo gives Armando some important papers that need to go to the court before they close. Some of those papers are the originals, so he needs to take extra good care of them. Armando says he will call when they are delivered.

Outside the front gate, Fito is waiting. He sees Armando walking out. He thinks to himself, “I know how I’ll pay Teresa.” He puts on a ski mask and pulls out his gun. Fito jumps out and confronts Armando. He tells him to give him everything of value right now.

Armando pleads with Fito to just take his money, but those papers are important. Fito tells Armando to shut up and strikes him on the head.

With Armando lying on the ground bleeding from his skull, Fito gathers the documents and takes off with them. He thinks to himself, “If these are really significant, then they must be worth something.”

...and now you know what happened in Episode 105.
