Teresa Thu 7/14/11 #97 The Bigote is busted; and not tonight honey, we're married

Hola gente. Apologies in advance for brevity in many scenes—still getting adjusted to new job. I feel extra lame after last night’s explosive, picture-filled awesomeness from Sharkbyte. I am hoping that I will be settled in by next time and won’t need to be so slapdash on the recap. (also, fyi, I combined scenes in many places.)

Overlap from last time:
Teresa calls Amadeo and encourages him to rat out Rubigote to Maira.

New business:
Rubigote and Roots meet with Fernando to see if the construction can be sped up so they can sell the condos ASAP. He says they can double the manpower, but it’s gonna cost a lot, and they will have to borrow more money or something. The devilish duo say that all the shareholders are on board with this, so let’s go for it. Fernie is savvy enough to ask for all of this in writing.

Our newlyweds take in the sights of Paris so the production crew can get its’ money’s worth of the location shoot.

Hospital: Esperanza and Mariano talk. He explains Aida’s point of view, and Espe is very generous in her attitude towards Aida. Mariano splains that he missed his chance with Aurora, who now loves Martin, so he’s giving it a go with Aida. Coolio, sez Espe.

Rubes is all freakeando about not being able to get in touch with Amadeo. Aida walks in and tells him that she and Mari are totally for realz, so watch out. She points out that she doesn’t go around behind people’s back like SOME others.

Over in France, the newlyweds use the Arc de Triomphe to give viewerville a bit of a history lesson before they smooch.

Roots advises Aida not to get in the middle of her parents fight. “No lleves tu el divorcio” (“don’t bring the divorce (yourself)”, referencing Aida being her mom’s lawyer). Guess who’s not following that advice? Roots moves on to get the 411 on Espe’s baby and is pleased to hear the bebe is salvo. She pretends like it’s just so Aida won’t have more problems with her dad, but we know the truth. Maira comes in, gives Aida the new keys; Roots pleads for calm relations with Rubes. Maira doesn’t ask her to stop being ‘muy amiga’ (if only she knew!) with El Bi, but asks she not mention him again.

Hernan tries to convince Espe to let him pay for the hospital bill. She wants to pay him back if he does. She explains that her relationship with Rubes started by him ‘lending’ her cash to pay for little brother’s medical bills (oh yeah, remember him?). She became more and more dependent on him, until, well, you see how it turned out. Hernan points out that Rubes, unlike him, is married. Espe points out that Rubes, unlike him, is a mala persona. Awww. Hernan is so adorable.

Aurora welcomes Vanessa into the home. Aurora tells Vanessa about the Mariano saga.

Espe tells Mari about Hernan paying the bills. Mari says she should be cool with it, because she would do the same for H if the situation were reversed. He also tells her she can go home the next week if all continues well.

Aurora finishes telling her mom about Mariano/Martin blah blah blah. Vanessa is suspiciously uncomfortable when Aur asks about having to choose between two men. Hector walks in and everyone looks intensely at one another as we cut to commercial.

Pati arrives chez Juana to see the respectable widow feeling sentimental about Cutberto. She denies it, but we all know she misses him. Pati gets pretty close to the heart of the matter, but Juana changes the subject, and blah blah ensues.

Back at Aurora’s Vanessa tries to embrace Hector, but he is clearly not down with that. He says they need to talk. Vanessa agrees despite Aurora’s objections.

Aida and Mari stroll through the park and chat about Aurora and how weird it is that her mom just showed up. Mari has a bad feeling about that lady (apparently he shares the psychic ability to detect bad seeds with Oriana), and doesn’t buy what she’s selling. I love how at one point Aida says how she would never forgive someone as easily as Aurora did. That’s the understatement of the year.

Vanessa and Hector “talk”. Perhaps my favorite exchange of the show. She tells him he looks great; he hasn’t changed a bit “estas casi identico” (you’re almost identical). He disagrees, “estoy mas viejo y mas gordo” (I’m older and fatter), followed up with “y tambien mas sabio. Por eso ya no creo en ti”. (and also wiser. That’s why I don’t believe in you now.) Basically, she can’t just waltz in after all these years and be the good mother now. She says she couldn’t deal with his jealousies, which he counters were justified—that he had her investigated after she left with este tipo. Vanessa denies it, and claims that his current agitation proves that he was too much to deal with. They go back and forth, she claims innocence, he doesn’t believe her, but they come to a truce to play nice for Aurora’s sake. He tells her to stay away from him though, she’s only allowed around as Aurora’s mom. She pulls a total shark move and sidles in close to clasp his hand and give him a sincere gracias. Whoa, is she the ghost of Christmas future for Tiburoncita?

Amadeo visits Aida and Maira and tells them about Rubes defrauding Maira for millions. Maira freaks. Aida is totally on top of the situation though, and asks Amadeo not to tell Rubes that they know. He excuses himself, and Aida tells her mom that she wants to make Rubes pay!

Pati helps Juana pack for Cuernavaca and they have girl talk. She actually brings up a good point—Hector is so thoughtful towards Juana, that maybe she should do something nice for him—like surprise him at his house instead of waiting for him to come for her (as the kids say, ruh roh!).

Paris—the kids come back to the hotel all shopped out. Teresa gets a call from Amadeo that he has carried out her mission. She is totally stoked. After Artie is out of earshot, she muses that this is only the beginning of payback for all those who have wronged her.

Back at the vecindad, Juana reminds Pati not to do it with her husband while Juana is out of the house (seriously?). Juana is about to leave when a customer comes in, delaying the inevitable misunderstanding.

Vanessa and Hector tell Aurora about their truce. Hector clearly does not want to stay in the house with Vanessa, but the ladies bully him into acquiescence. Aurora goes in to hug them both (she is truly delusional), and Vanessa tries to caress Hector’s hand during the group hug; Hector pulls away. Damn, V is totally the shark from the past!

Aida confirms with Amadeo that he is going to play it cool with Rubes and continue with the Cancun vacation. She and Maira will also compensate him well for his honesty once this is all sorted out. This is working out really well for old Ammy.

Aurora asks V what she’s been up to all these years. Apparently V has been a poor hippie traveler with not enough money to make it back to Mexico. Yeah, that’s pretty much the look she’s sporting. Hector takes his leave and pointedly tells Vanessa that she has no right to know about his personal bidness. Aurora and Vanessa head off to get her settled in.

Maira lies on the couch in pure dejection. She and Aida discuss the horribleness of El Bigote. This truly is el colmo. Maira can see all the excuses for all his other transgressions, but stealing from your own wife? Aida explains her plan—Ammy plays it cool, Aida gets an outside auditor in to get the proofs. But Maira needs to think carefully—Rubes could end up in jail for this. Maira doesn’t feel that it’s a very hard decision—por supuesto he should go jail!

Ammy meets with Rubes to verify Cancun plan and reassure him. He thanks Rubes profusely for the Cancun cash and takes off.

Aurora shows her mom around the guestroom. Vanessa promises not to leave.

More Paris sightseeing. Definitely getting their money’s worth on the location costs. Back at the hotel, Teresa and Arturo are a bit tipsy and flirty. She is considering letting him sleep in the same bed with her, but no funny business. (as an aside-- I am loving our little shark’s cat eyes in these Paris scenes.)

The next few scenes cut back and forth between Johnny and Pati and Teresa and Arturo, illustrating the total embargo on funny business between married couples on this TN.

Back in the DF, Hector and Hernan chat over coffee about Vanessa. Hector explains his doubts of her, and his understandable anger. Unfortunately, he also says she looked enchanting, which is a bad sign. Hernan advises Hector to tell Juana ASAP about the Vanessa situation, but Hector has a plan to tell her in Cuernavaca. What’s more, he’s not going to stay in the house when he gets back from CV.

Aida shows up at Mariano’s hospital. She’s clearly upset, but he has to coax the problem out of her. He promises not to tell anyone, and she fesses up about the fraud.

And this is it folks. Juana has arrived early at Hector’s to surprise him with some cookies. Vanessa waltzes in and introduces herself as the wife of Dr. Bigotone. Juana is so impactada that drops the plate of cookies. Oh my.

Excellent recap!

Why is it that when a man whose wife has been missing for years files for divorce she suddenly shows up with an agenda?

The worst of it is that it's Aurora who will be hurt.

Good morning, everyone! :)

Kristoise, thanks for the recap! I'm glad Teresa has recappers, it wasn't an easy ride at the beginning.

I came to show a few pictures from José Alberto Castro's newest show, La que no podía amar which will start in two weeks. It's the remake of Carla Estrada's Te sigo amando with Sergio Goyri.

The protagonists are Ana Brenda and José Ron (Cuando me enamoro), the villanos are Susana González (love her!) and mi eterno amor Jorge Salinas (yummy).

Those ones who liked both Corazón salvaje and La verdad oculta will love these pictures with Susana, Fabián Robles and Michelle Ramaglia. :)

And here's a promo:

Thanks. I really enjoyed your recap, Kristoise, nothing lacking and funny as well. And so fast, the recap was up before the novela started in CA.

Well, we seem to have a lot of tiburones swimming about DF now. At this moment, Teresa doesn't seem to be the most dangerous one. Vanessa is truly devious and Aurora is so grateful her mom has returned that all her reasoning skills have vanished (and she's a doctor.) I think we were all thinking that delaying telling Juana about Vanessa was gonna backfire and sure enough, Juana drops the plate of cookies upon meeting Hector's esposa. Uh oh.

GinCA

Great recap Kristoise! I loved the line about the ghost of Christmas future. Also I think your observation about Vanessa's wardrobe was spot on. Hector should not have let her into the house.

Some things are starting to make sense to me, such as Hector folding like a cheap table whenever Aurora says "por favor, papi", the way Aurora acts like a little kid sometimes, and her lack of assertiveness.

Sometimes when something traumatic happens in the family unit and one parent leaves, the remaining parent becomes too lenient as a way of compensating for the rough time the child is having, and/or out of guilt. Combine that with Aurora being Hector's only child, and a cute, sweet girl, and its no wonder that she's a total Daddy's Girl, and has her dad wrapped around her finger.

In this case, it is especially unfortunate that Hector ignored his instincts in favor of caving to his little girl, because his reservations about Vanessa will likely prove correct.

I think the reason Aurora acts like a kid is that Vanessa's abandonment caused Aurora to have arrested development.

That abandonment can also cause self confidence problems, so I think the writers' choice to give a passive personality to the Aurora character was believable, because in real life, that is a plausible scenario.

I am hoping that with Vanessa around, Aurora can have a catharses that helps her to grow up and become more assertive, and that will lead her to be more agressive in going after her man. By "agressive" I mean, she puts on some see-thru lingerie, maybe some fishnet...uh...I'll just stop there.

Oh my ...what an episode. Little bit of everything. And your recap retold it all wonderfully.

I was actually enjoying all the Ter/Art play last night and wish there had been more. Hopefully tonight we get final chapter of that bedorrom scene. Oh yeah--

What is with some of these women who disappear for YEARS and then show up and want to make the moves on the poor slep they left, and he's supposed to take them back like nothing happened. Watching V is like Paloma all over again. And I so enjoyed that--NOT.

Sylvia, I love your analysis of Aurora's reaction to seeing her mother, aggravating though it is. And considering she doesn't have that spine we would all love to see in her, she's just buying into what V's selling hook, line and sinker. Sad to think the hurt that she may have to go thru with this relationship is what makes her stronger and wiser, since a betrayal by her mother again will be hard. I'm loving that Mari is also onto this broad though. She has to have an agenda for coming back -money I'm sure- but would like to get more detail.

I was so waiting for Refugio to walk in when Johnny/Pati were fooling around. That celibacy thing is not going to last with those two.

Off to work. TGIF all!

Lots of good wordplay last night. My favorite was when Pati encouraged Juana to "run on over and suprise the fat little moustache-face...um, doctor." What a hoot!

And did you notice when Mayra was talking to Geno, she said, "I know you and my husband have very close relations...of business..."? During that critical pause, Geno's eyes got a little bigger.

Kristoise, your recap was great, thank you, thank you, for the Spanish frases!
ITA, Vanessa was just like Tere when she was younger! This is a really interesting TN, with many parallels in the story. I love, “that’s pretty much the look she’s sporting…” Yeah, Vanessa gives me the creeps.
I don’t know, but hasn’t Tere repaid everyone enough? You’d think Paolo’s death would be enough for her to say, “woa, that side effect was a little too much, maybe I can stop now”. But no, she isn’t going to be happy until she destroys everyone, and others in the process who don’t deserve it. Glad Rube will get his, though.
I guess abstinence is the only birth control in TN’s, we all know Tere is taking birth control pills, why, though, since the only person she lets get close to her is Mariano, who won’t get close to her anymore. My bet is she ain’t givin’ it up much to Arturo.
Urban: You also notice this happens in real life, too, someone finally gets over their old boyfriend, meets someone new, and the old boyfriend calls?
Sharkbyte, you can only have that knowledge by either being a therapist or going to years of therapy. You must live in New York.

Kris- Excellent recap. No need to appologize for brevity of scenes. You gave us lots of detail. I would have only liked more detail on the flirty bedroom play of Art and Ter. Did you see how quickly he snapped that bra? The man has skilz. :)

Sharkbyte- Great analysis of Aurora. Whatever is coming with Vanessa, and we know it won't be pretty, should give Aurora the closure she needs and help her grow up and grow a spine.

Hector is in for much grief from all the women in his life (Juana, Aurora, Vanessa). Poor man. I hate that everyone is always teasing about his big moustache and plumpness. I like his look!

Vanessa is for sure Teresa 25 years into the future, after having made the mistake of having a baby with one of her marks. I wonder who this mysterious other man is. Has she had other lovers since then? Is she now too old to hook another sucker, so she's returned to the scene of the crime to re-hook her first sucker, Hector (aka, her Mariano)?

Teresa's plan to destroy Aida with the news of Ruben's fraud didn't quite work exactly as planned. Instead of having some big tantrum and going off on her father, as usual, she's playing it cool. And when she breaks down, it's in Mariano's arms, bringing them closer together. Nope, this was NOT Tere's plan.

You know, I hope we don't get a "Aurora is not really his child" scenario with Hector. Shades of Llena?? Who in this TN could maybe have been V's "other guy"..Ohhhhhh how about Rube - and that would make Aida and Aurora maybe step-sisters. That would be fun!?They have to be dangling the "other guy" for a reason.

Also forgot to mention - with Ter/Art - I think purposefully started the stripping when she heard Art coming out of the bathroom (and we thank the director for giving us gals another jammie moment -sorry Sharkbyte), but I also thought the snap of the bra coming undown was rather humorous. Who did that? Did she or did he give it that expert little flick? Funny...

Emarie - very funny, but I'm not a shrink (nor seeing one), I've just dated a lot of psycho-chicks. Seriously, I'll find a seemingly normal wonderful chick, and then they end up having severe behavioral problems. So then I try to analyze why they are so fracked-up in the head. After that happens a few times, I guess you get to know a little bit about weird chick behavior.

daisynjay - Regarding Angelique Boyer's bra coming undone, if you slow down the video and watch it frame-by-frame, you'll see my hand reaching through the TV screen and unhooking it. Oh, and thank you for grossing me out about Art's damn jammies. I had completely forgotten about that, and now I have to hurl.

SharkByte,
Jajajajajajaja you are hilarious! Your hand on Angelique's bra, huh? Good trick... Jajajaja

Seriously, stay away from psycho chicks. If they seem too perfect at first meet, run, don't walk, away ( this is a public service announcement for men )

To me this whole cap was BORING. Too much of NOTHING. Nothing moving the plot. Yeesh, how much longer are they going to stretch the story and not advance cap after cap? Honestly, where are Fern and Luisa? Where is Oriana? Who give a flying fig about Johny/Paty? How long are we going to be tortured with Espe recumbent and whiny? When is Aurora gonna grow a pair? OMG if they don't show some Art/Ter action soon my FF button will be worn out.

That's all for now. Rant over.

Diann

Sharkbyte, I knew it! had to be a man's nimble little "flick" to have the bra snap like that. You devil you!

Apoligies about the jammies - but gees, us old broads need some excitement once in awhile, especially after a long day at work dealing with aging, out-of-shape consultants.

Awesome recap Kristoise. Glad to see you with us Aribeth. I've missed you.

Vanessa does remind me of Teresa circa 1980s. It seems from the convo she had with Hector, that she left him for another man. Maybe that was her plan to marry him for his money and leave from the beginning. That is what Teresa planned to do to Arturo. I'm afraid Aurora will be hurt once the blinders come off and she sees her mother for who she really is.

Now that Vanessa has introduced herself to Juana as Hector's wife why do I feel that this gives her the excuse she needed to break off the engagement and go after Cutberto? Maybe I'm wrong and she and Hector will fix this latest wrinkle.

Wow was Arturo a bad boy or what when he unhooked Teresa'a bra. I was like damn. Then, when they snuggled under the covers. Well it's just a matter of time before she gives in LOL.

Now that Aida and Mayra know about the embezzlement, what are they going to do about it. Will they turn Ruben in to the police?

Kristoise wonderful job sand funny thank you.

Vivi haha ita i'm quite sure this is not how Teresa wanted her plan to unfold.

Yeah i caught how she on purpose started to undress when she k new only jammies pants Arturo was in the room with her. She does need to have that sense that she is so irresistible to men.

I also caught the Geno guarded and Uh Oh look when Mayra talked about her business with Ruben.

Vanessa definitely a older version of Teresa and was it cold in Hector's house take off that darn coat.

Hector is a cutie pie he just big boned and i loved his bearded look.

Mariano you're still a dope you didn't lose your chance with Aurora she's been trying to tell you very subtle like she is still in love with you. Notice how she doesn't hardly ever bring up Martin in front of you that much anymore idiot?

I love Hernsan also but please go get a little waxing done hon.

I agree Aurora has some serious mommy issues once she gets through the storm of Vanessa hopefully it will give her a incentive to grow up and go after her man. Yes if she has to stick her tongue down Mariano's throat for him to realize Dude this girl is so in love with you then "you go girl".

Who knew that foreplay for Teresa is destroying her enemies like she is trying to do to Aeeeeeeeeeeeda.I did laugh at how happy she was with her latest prank. You can tell how when she flashbacked to Aeeeeeeeeeeda video of her during their post graduation party how hurtful that has been to live with all of these years.

Too bad it's backed fired because now Aeeeeeeeeeeeda wants to live with Mariano where is my barf bag.

ITA, Vivi, speaking as an older gal, for us, we look at a Hector type, and think, ooh, he is really cool, we might look at Mariano and think, "what a nice kid!"

Kristoise, I couldn't keep up between Rube's fraud, Aida's plan, and Fer's biz meeting, but you filled it all in. Also, thanks for reproducing Hector's lines with Vanessa. This was a good scene and I liked revisiting it. For me, Hector's stock went up last night. He’s more than the affable dad. Struggling to do the right thing by Aurora while keep his anger at Vanessa in check - that’s good drama. And it seems that, though Vanessa broke his heart, he could be tempted by her again.

Boy, it's great to be Amadeo. Getting bonuses from all sides.

Aribeth, thanks for the info on La que podia amar. With Jorge Salinas and Fabian Robles, I must check it out. Never seen Jorge as a villain.

Kristoise,

Great recap with lots of details; especially ejoyed the Spanish phrases.

Note to Sharkbyte:
Enjoyed your analysis of Aurora especially the "arrested development" part.

With regard to your recap, it was chalk-filled with details and
the pictures were terrific; you are indeed a clever guy.

Must say, however, being honest and not suppressing my feelings,
I did not enjoy your "Man Talk."
I've no intention of going along
with the crowd and applauding you for it, nor do I choose to remain suffering in silence. I think a therapist might encourage me to share my thoughts on the topic.

I've heard the expression, "GL" since I was a kid from young boys
trying to be bigshots, from teenage guys trying to be manly and, from middle-aged men who think they are hot stuff, and so on up the ladder from men of all walks of life. On a rare occasion, a gentleman comes along and speaks of making love to a woman in less degrading terms. I'm all for passionate lovemaking that can make the "earth move under my feet." There is an old saying that women love it when men talk dirty. I, however, would prefer to see the Language of Love on a higher plain - perhaps "Gentleman Talk" could replace "Man Talk." It might take more creative effort. Are you up for the challenge?

Kristoise, what an excellent recap!

Loved when Hector told his ex-wife that he was wiser but felt sorry that he caved to Aurora. She is such a sweety that it must be so hard for him to see her get hurt. Maybe if Aurora wasn't such a good person she would have turned out just as Aída. What does the blog think: nature or nurture?

And one of the things that used to bother me about Cutberto was how he always made fun of Héctor for his moustach and weight. I'd prefer an Héctor or an Hernan to a Mariano too. They are kind and respectful in all the right ways. Mariano is a good guy but he is too sanctimonious at times and tends to butt in to everything, although I get that it is part of who he is as he grew up as the protector of the vecindad and that's what drives him to projects like the clinic. Still, I'd be a little exasperated with him as a boyfriend.

And Teresa, I have to say, if you don't make use of that man I will probably have to intervene and get him for myself. Come on, ¿a donde vámos a parar?

Aribeth, so nice to see you! I'm waiting for "La Que No Podía Amar". It looks great and I KNOW Jorge is going to be wonderful in it. Thanks for bringing the pictures, the Leticia and Lencho relationship was one of my favorite parts of Te Sigo Amando and I remember how popular they were but it seems they cut out that story from the dvd's and that's the version that is up in youtube. Susana González and Fabián Robles look wonderful together. I heard Castro plans on using the original radionovela and then construct his version from there so I think we'll see differences, especially in the main characteres.

Jarocha

Jarocha- Good question about Aida vs Aurora, nature vs nurture.

I think it's both. I think by nature Aurora is shy and introverted, and Aida is high strung and extraverted.

Aida grew up with a loving, but clueless, mother who adored her, and an emotionally distant father who showered her with material things to compensate for the time he did not spend with her. She learned to value material things, and to fight for any bit of attention she could get from her father (and later from the men she loved). She isn't an evil person. But she does value material things and thinks the best way to get what she wants is to screech loudly until she gets enough attention for someone to fill her need. If Ruben had been more attentive, and he and Myra had not been such social snobs themselves, I think Aida would have been a loud, extraverted, fun, nice girl.

Aurora grew up with an attentive, kind father. Although he gives her anything she wants, he made sure she knows people are more important than things and money, that you should share your money and things with those less fortunate, and that class does not matter, just whether people are good or not. The abandonment by her mother turned a shy girl, into an insecure girl. But, considering that Vanessa isn't a good person, would she have been a good mother? Wouldn't a bad mother (who belittles her daughter) have been worse for a shy, sensitive girl to have? Wouldn't that have done more damage to her self esteem? I actually think so.

Had Aurora grown up in Aida's home with Aida's parents she would have been just as loyal to her mother as Aida is. But she would have not been as good at getting the attention of Papa Ruben and been totally forgotten by him. Would she have been as big of a class snob as Aida? Maybe. She just wouldn't be so loud and brash about it.

Kristoise, AWESOME recap; loved all the language details. Thanks for your dedication and diligence
in getting the job done.

Aribeth, Welcome back; I have been wondering about you and how you ae doing. Thanks for the clips. You always provided us with much novela trivia and history
during your twice-weekly recaps of LVO. Such dynamic discussions we had!

Always good to hear from the LVO crowd : Uban A. Jarocha, GinCa, Vivi, Pirate B. Niecie, and anyone else I missed.

What colossal nerve of Vanessa
to barge in and take advantage of her daughter without talking to H. first! I am anxious for her to remove her coat. I see two possibilities: 1) she has a tantalizingly gorgous, irristible body, or 2) she shows signs of physical abuse or tracks from abuse of drugs.

Vivi: That's such an interesting insight on the personalities of Aurora and Aída. It makes perfect sense.

Interestingly enough, if Aurora had been born to Rubén as a father she probably would be more damaged from that relationship than Aída. But I don't know if I'd consider Aída stronger than Aurora due to her extroverted personality. If I think about putting them in Teresa's position for example, Aída would have probably responded to that environment in the same way Teresa has (although who knows of she'd have the cunning and smarts to reach the same goals Teresa has), while Aurora would have probably benefited both from growing up with loving and stern parents and would have become stronger by the hardships of living in poverty.

Jarocha

The three should have been switched up to best suit their personalities:

Aurora would have loved and respected Armando and Refugio, and they would have loved and adored her. She would have thrived under their love and protection and been made stronger by the adversity of poverty.

Aida would have have been a loving, carefree daughter with Hector as doting dad. She would have given a mother who abandoned her hell if she came back into her life, and told her to be on her way (don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!).

Teresa would have been a happy rich snob with Mayra and Rubes as parents. She would be her daddy's princess and protege as he would have been very impressed with a daughter as sly and cunning as he. They would have worked together to pull the wool over Myra's eyes to get what they both want.

Vivi: Haha, that would have been perfect! But poor Mayra!

Pirate Babe, Jarocha, Niecie, Floridia: I missed you, ladies! :) I enjoyed the first episodes of Teresa, but I had to do so many things that I couldn't follow it. Now I'm waiting for a new show I could fall in love with and follow it on Caray. :)

(Btw, Jarocha, I just watched the last Harry Potter movie. I cried and laughed all the time - it's the end of an era. :))

Aribeth, now I have another reason to watch La que podia amar. Hope to see you there. Funny you should mention Harry Potter. My sister just called me on a rant about a local TV critic of the last Harry Potter film "who didn't even read the book!"

Aribeth: My brother and sister went yesterday to the premier here in Veracruz with some of their friends but they bought their tickets three weeks ago. They stood in line since 5pm and the showing was at 10 pm!

I'll be going on the weekend, probably with my parents (who have watched every Potter movie too, my dad is as much of a fan of the books as us!) and a friend (who is also a huge fan). He and my dad were picking apart the movies last week and complaining about the bits the directors left out. Funny enough, I was the one who tried to reason that not everything can be added on screen. And dad hates my favorite of the films (PoA) which always sparks some intense debates lol.

Jarocha

Although, I LOVED DH Part 1 and I can't wait for part 2. So PoA can be replaced.

Jarocha

Vivi,

That's quite an analyis of las tres chicas. !Muy bien!

Yo, también will be seeing Harry Potter this weekend.

Jarocha, sounds like a real family movie in every sense of the word.

By the way Aribeth, love seeing you back here! How are your law studies going?

Note to “Anonymous”, if that’s even your real name :^)

Sorry you don’t like my writing style – correction – I don’t care. I think a therapist might also encourage me to share my thoughts on the topic.

It all started, in a small town near Fresno. I was once a sweet, kind, gentleman shark, but after years of dealing with psycho-chicks, probably some exactly like you; in fact I think I dated you back in the day... I thought you sounded familiar... er...uh... sorry about “the incident”. Anyway, since those frolicking days in the meadow, I have devolved into a cynical, yet delightfully crude, Neanderthal/Cro-Magnon hybrid. I know, it's truly awesome.

Perhaps someone that fits your standard will come along and offer to do recaps of this novela, but until that happens, I'm in the rotation on Wednesday, so if you don't like it, don't read it.

I noticed you didn’t complain about the ubiquitous lustful objectification of the male actors in this blog. I guess your snooty-patooty righteousness only flows in one direction.

You asked if I was up to the challenge of "gentlemanly talk", as if that were a challenge. No, I am not up to it. My Neanderthal brain does not have the cranial capacity for that.

Sorry babe, but I just gotta be me. And I’m sorry I never called you back, I know you miss me.
