Ooooh Carlos, you got the best of today's episodio. I loved that look on Hipólita's face.

Props to Carla and Monica for Esperanza's miscarriage scene. No offense, but I doubt a male director could have made this as believable and tragic.

I also love how Marina is always dressed up in the most fluffy of pastels, as if she's a treasured pet of Isabel.

Great pics Carlos

How on earth did Perla keep from spilling COMPLETELY out of that dress?
I have no idea what's holding them in.
I'm proud of Hipólita, go girl & that's one mean look.

Isabel does try to spoil those that she loves, Luis, Marina, el gato, BTW do we know the cat's name?
She is also generous to the poor.

Ha Vario, you would ask the cat's name! Shout out to all cat lovers. My cats keep me sane and happy.

Wow, Carlos, you really captured the best of the best for this episode. I think the girls need a couple of saucers of milk.

I loved the scene with Luis on that magnificent horse going after Perla, she so deserved it.

The scene with Juana in Diego's bedroom was kind of pitiful. I think Juana is now reaping what she has sown and is not happy with the results.

Tia is really enjoying herself these days with her power over Juana and Diego. She should have done it long ago.

CAT FIGHT! Yeowwwzer! What a perfect picture of the day of each wench. I imagine that a few retakes were necessary with Perla's already too low cut (I know not for you gents) gown. I bet she lost the battle of the spill-over a couple of times. It looks liek they were haveing a grand time of it though.

Very tender and tragic with such thoughtful handling of Esperanzal's last stand. It sure was crafted with intelligence and respect.

Diego's downfall is so priceless, he jus' can't get no respect.

He also can't get no satisfaction

Well, here I am back from Toronto, and what do I find...the chick fight captured. Marcos had the dangerous task of breaking them up. I got a kick out of him shadowing Hip to keep her safe. Rosemary~~~I,too, enjoyed Luis on horseback cornering Perla to tell her to cease and desist. I'm going to have to have a marathon because I missed one of my favorite scenes while I was gone. I'll bet that you can guess which one .

Vario:

How on earth did Perla keep from spilling COMPLETELY out of that dress?

Simple. Two-sided tape. I wonder if Wardrobe Managers know where to buy double-sided duct tape, for the heavy duty scenes like today.

Whenever I see an awards show, there's always a woman in a dress with a bodice that is little more than a pair of double-wide suspenders, usually of some wispy, flowing fabric. And every time I see it, all I can think is how it will hurt to remove the tape at the end of the night.

PaulaH: What price beauty?

I know about the tape, but that dress needs superglue

Variopinta

Those photos are awesome! Nice job Carlos.

Paula, OUCH!

I'm enjoying watching Diego forced to be humble, pitiful and "gentlemanly". Funny how he stood and bowed with the devil's mask.

Rosemary--In case you come back to this blog today, the Que Leche slur WAS in episode 56, so I translated a lot of the dialog from the "meeting" scene and left it there.

I thought last night's episode was exceptional showing a range of emotions from all the main characters.
Hipo--from humilde servant to raging mad mother
Perla--from confident confrontation with Hip to cringing in the face of Luis
Catalina--cowering infront of her father to loving wife
Luis--sad to mad
Diego--arrogant conde to emotionally lost little boy
Juana--self-assured power behind the throne to powerless to control events.

A cat like Isabel's needs a poofy kind of name like Preciosa.

Dona Nube, thank you for your superb translation from Wednesday's magnificent scene.

Preciosa sounds like a good name for that poofy cat. One of my roommates used to have a cat like that and we called her Madame Meow.
