El Mundo de Telemundo, Week of August 15, 2011: Discuss Amongst Yourselves

¡Hóla a todos! A new week begins.

MÍ CORAZÓN INSISTE viernes - This had to have been the shortest novela pregnancy ever! As we saw on Thursday, Lola decides to go to Panama to try and find traces of her mother. When did Soledad escape from Tiberio and presumably leave Panama? Lola must be at least 22, if she spent 4 years in an adult prison. It has to have been a long time ago so it is not surprising that she spends seven months showing Soledad's picture to people who don't remember her.

At some point, Tiberio decides to go to Panama, too, parking Soledad in the same whorehouse as the seemingly permanently strung out Adela. He follows her around and finally has someone give her some information about her childhood and passes on the news that Soledad killed Tiberio with the acid attack, the evidence of which is a tombstone.

Lola goes to the cemetery and sees the tombstone. Since Soledad presumably has a tombstone, too and Lola is sure that she is still alive, this doesn't seem like really strong proof that Tiberio is dead. Lola doesn't know what to think. She calls Etelvina and tells her that they are returning to LA. Right after that, her water breaks and Chabela, not being real, isn't much help. Tiberio is following and he takes her to the hospital where she give birth to a baby girl. She names her Isabel, in honor of her aunt.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo has been going to every town along the US Mexican border. He finally finds the security guard who used his ill-gotten gains to buy a taco stand but isn't interested in working there. We know this town is in Mexico because there are Mexican flags everywhere and Rodrigo puts on a sing-song Mexican accent. He pretends to be a cop to the disgruntled taco stand worker who blabs the whole story about how the guard was given the choice to accept money and testify falsely or be killed.

Andrés has adjusted to prison life and is teaching drawing and poetry writing, I think, to his fellow inmates. While he is manhandling a large piece of meat in the kitchen, he flashes back to the trial and the two murderers theory put forward by Camilo at the trial. At the time, he had rejected it because it seemed to incriminate Lola but now as he stabs the meat with both hands, he believes that there were two different people attacked Marcelo.

Andrés tells Camilo that this insight plus the new testimony by the guard will get him out of jail. [I'm not exactly sure how that helps. Showing that Marcelo had two assailants would only suggest that Andrés had an accomplice and I don't believe the guard saw who hit him. Of course, if the guard testifies that he was paid to perjure himself, that might cast doubt on Andrés' guilt.]

Andrés and a very business-coiffed Débora a have their usual argument about Lola. Andrés asks Débora to deposit some money in Rodrigo's account because he has spent all his savings searching for the security guard. Ramon is reluctant to do this and finally he points out to Débora the big disadvantages for both of them if Andrés gets out of prison.

Camilo is still coming on to Sofía without much success. We find out that Danny is in Amsterdam- the drug capital of Europe.

I think that was about it.

FLOR SALVAJE - viernes

We have the big initiation spectacle with Flor dancing with the support of the other girls. Rafi gets up and tells the rest of the crowd to look but not touch. This one is his alone.

La Trepadora, aka Rocío is back in town. Zahra asks why she is so concerned with Amanda's fate.

Meanwhile Clara swears that she will go after anyone who gets between her and Mariano.

Amanda's other older sister, Susanna, helps Olga in the kitchen, in contrast to the bitchy Ana. Their arguing upsets Beba.

Meanwhile Sacto is leaving town. He says goodbye to Amanda and then goes and frees Catalina and also buries the last bit of Alirio. Catalina's idea of revenge seems to be ripping up Rafi's shirts.

The father of Amanda & her sisters appears to have regrets about abandoning them.

Rocío asks Zahra not to let this happen to Amanda. Zahra replies that Amanda has no choice and is doing what she has to to protect her family. She says Rocío had a choice and came to the 4p's voluntarily to punish herself and that is why she doesn't have many customers.

Rafi takes Flor to her casita with it's own special colored light bulb. It turns out that Flor is not willing to 'cumplir,' go through, with her bargain. She uses her mother's herbal knowledge and drugs Rafi with the extract of a flower.

The reporter want Malicia to be his model. He tells her that he has never paid for sex. He only sleeps with a woman if they both want it.

Cataline gets help in leaving town from Raimundo who appears to be the husband of the snooty school mistress, Brigida.

The maid discovers that Catalina has escaped.

Rafi wakes up and figures out that Flor drugged him. He is about to get what he wants by force when he gets the news about Catalina.

Sacto stumbles upon a line of guys waiting to try and get work in the oil fields. When someone in the line pushes another one out saying that he is too old to work in the oil fields, impulsive Sacto demands respect for the aged and starts a big fight. Things are not looking too good for him until he is helped by another job seeker, a former sailor named Pablo Aguilar and José Luis Resendez makes his appearance in the novela.

Rafi brutally flogs the maid about where Catalina is. He finally figures out that if Alirio's remains are missing, it must have been Sacto who freed Catalina.

With Raimundo's help, Catalina gets to Timoteo. She is about to get a on a train to the capital when Mariano announces that the train won't leave unless she is found.

COMMENTS: I'm not sure what Amanda thought she'd gain if she drugged Rafi other than to make him angry and more likely to take what he wants by force. It's not like she can go anywhere.

Since Rafi is in the oil business, it wouldn't seem that working on an oilrig is not going to be a great way to for Sacto to stay away from him and Amanda. He was on foot. How far could have gotten from Nuevo Esperanza?

Over to you now.

LA CASA DE AL LADO – viernes

The Undead Renato instructs Rebeca to organize a press conference so the Empresas Conde can begin a little spin control.

At the nursing home where our dopey junior detectives have tracked down Adolfo, Rosa manages to get away and Adolfo escapes detection by hiding under the bed. Carola and Emilio, taking another deep swallow from the bottomless well of stupid, take poor old Igor Mora back to the Conde house. They badger him into revealing that Ivan/Leo and Adolfo are his sons.

Eva is appalled to discover Igor in her house and she claims not to have known that Adolfo was his son. She tries to get him to tell her where Mabel is but he remains mute.

Pilar and Diego show up on Gonzalo’s doorstep. He welcomes them inside. When Ignacia comes calling later, Pilar looks her in the eye and tells her she is living with Gonzalo.

Diego sees Pilar and Gonzalo snuggling. Later he tells Gonzalo that until he came into her life, his mother never laughed or smiled. Pilar is touched by the sight of Gonzalo and Diego hugging each other.

When Diego sees his sister in school, he tells her that he and Pilar are now living in Gonzalo’s apartment.

Ignacia tells her psychiatrist how much she hates Pilar and would do ANYTHING to get Gonzalo away from her. And besides, Pilar can’t be as saintly as she seems. She must have a dark side – maybe she’s a murderer...

Gonzalo is uneasy at Javier’s seeming passivity in the face of Pilar’s leaving but Pilar exults in her sense of freedom and is excited about setting up her therapy practice again. She makes an appointment with a new patient.

Javier tells Matias to hire a detective to follow Pilar night and day.

Gonzalo, with Matias and Rebeca standing at his side, announces to a throng of reporters that a huge and advantageous merger is in the works for the Conde properties. Rebeca and Matias are stunned – they know Gonzalo has just lied in an attempt to manipulate stock prices. He broke the law! Is he crazy? He might have just delivered the death blow to the Conde enterprises. Was that the idea?

Apparently Adolfo/Ishmael hates everyone. He repudiates his mother, his father, the Conde family – and now “La casa de al lado”. That’s their new target, he tells someone over the phone.

Karen asks Yolanda to warn Gonzalo that Javier and Matias are plotting something against him.

Yolanda pleads with Emilio and Hilda to sit down and talk out their differences. Would Hilda be willing to do so? Who knows? Before we can find out, Emilio runs away to attend to more important things. Too bad for him. The guy from the poker game is waiting for him outside. He aims his gun at Emilio and fires. Emilio falls to the ground.

Pilar sits expectantly in her office. There’s a knock at the door. Her new patient enters smilingly: Rosa! I’m ready to see how tough Pilar really is...

MI CORAZON
Thanks Jean--your summary was great! How about Andres being in jail for stabbing someone to death...and they give him a job in the prison kitchen with two big knives at his disposal? I loved the scene of Rodriog as a tourist in Mexico. And I, too, wondered what was the point of Lola showing Solita's picture to a 22-year old bartender? By guess, Lola had to be around 11 months pregnant by the time that baby was born.

FLOR SALVAJE – viernes

Thanks for the great minicap, Jean. It’s true that Amanda’s strategy of drugging Rafael seems short-sighted but then, like almost everyone in this show, she doesn’t seem to have a lot of smarts or be able to think beyond the moment. The only one who seems clear-headed is the reporter. He looks at New Hope and sees some throwback village, a town that time forgot.

There is a real Heart of Darkness vibe to the place. Bad guys aren’t just bad, they have the blackest of souls. They are magically bad. So I guess it makes sense to try to fight them using magical remedies...

P.S. Rand, I'm still here! It's nice to have you back with us. :)

Mi Corazon:

Thanks for the recap, Jean.

I'm not wild about Debora's new look, although it does make her more businesslike. Once again her Dad underestimates her by thinking she won't check if he deposited the money in Andres' account. She did check. However, his point that if Andres got out of jail, he'd leave Debora, was convincing.

Hopefully Soledad will run into Adelita in the whorehouse.

As bad as Tiberio is, he has feelings for Lola, and probably for his new nieta. I think Lola will be able to put two and two together and figure out that the guy who was following her, and gave her the ride is Tiberio. Or maybe he'll just tell her.

I agree that whether there were two murderers of Marcelo doesn't really matter. The jury already heard that, must not have thought that was a reasonable doubt, and found Andres guilty anyway. But if the security guard is found to have committed perjury, that would be grounds for a new trial, and a new jury could see things differently.

I want to see them show Daniel in Amsterdam, with long hair and hippie clothes. That would be funny!

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

Good summary, NovelaMaven. I actually think the guy hit Emilio with a baseball bat, not a gunshot, but he's definitely in a bad way.

It's funny how all the Conde family members keep trying to get mute people to tell them things. This happened repeatedly with "Leonardo", and now with Igor.

At least Ignacia correctly figured out the revenge motive, and told the other family members. But Ignacia is really one step away from losing it (she almost threw herself off the balcony until Carola restrained her). Her ire at Pilar for "stealing her husband" is ridiculous. Gonzalo has far more to do with that pairing than Pilar, who was always reluctant. But I know, it's classic, people often blame the other woman, not their husband.

And is Gonzalo really taking a brave chance with the company, or is he really in with Adolfo, and is sabotaging the company?

I was thinking about all the calls Adolfo made previously, saying things like "we've got to act soon." Was he always talking to Rosa? I somehow think there's another male involved.

That Rosa sure has guts, now playing the role of Cecelia, a new patient for Pilar. Why doesn't Pilar ask for ID? Doesn't she have to comply with some government rules about this? Of course Rosa could have fake ID papers.

Just like Eva, Yolanda rarely gets anyone to listen to her, and gets few answers. Now she suspects Nibaldo has a third woman (he was really helping Renato).

Speaking of Eva, does anyone think she had an affair with Igor Mora? I do. Renato talked about how she betrayed him in the past, right?

LA CASA

Thanks for the correction about how Emilio was attacked, Hombre. That's the problem with writing these things from memory.

Did Renato accuse Eva of betraying him in the past? I don't remember that. I do remember him accusing her of egging him on in his (false) accusations against Igor Mora. She may be the person most responsible for Igor's tragedy.

I'm not sure why Pilar would ask a patient for ID unless she were planning to bill her insurance.

FLOR SALVAJE - VIERNES

Rafael Urrieta is unbearably smug in the bar. He tells the reporter that it's true that a spectacle like the "initiation" would not be conceivable in the capital or elsewhere.

I agree. Drugging Rafa didn't buy her much. His anticipation of the deflowering was sky high, and he would absolutely know he hadn't accidentally fallen asleep. I can't imagine they're going to try to keep her a virgin for much longer. That patina of chivalry toward Amanda he was exhibiting before was definitely gone. Until he was interrupted with the news of his wife's escape, he was in the process of brutally raping Amanda.

I don't know that much about the geography there; but, if I were Catalina, I would have just ridden that horse across country until I was hundreds of miles away. Going to Timotes to get the train seemed majorly dumb to me. I don't think I can stand it if she gets put back in that calabozo again. Rafa certainly shows what's really important to him, jumping out of bed with Amanda to lead a vicious campaign to get his prisoner back. He threatens to burn down Dudi's family's store with them inside.

I also was thinking "What!!!". Sacramento is going to work in the oil fields? Isn't Rafa going to see him there right away? It was nice to see José Luis Resendez without that evil smirk he always had in "Herederos".

LA CASA - VIERNES

I really don't understand what Adolfo has against Pilar that he'd send his "sister" as a fake patient. He said he was moving his emphasis to the other house.

I have never liked Yolanda. She's servile with the Condes, refusing to move away with her husband because of her blind loyalty. And she's overbearing and bossy with Nibaldo and Hilda. Hilda just let her ride roughshod over her quite sensible plan to divorce Emilio. This guy only ever notices her when she leaves him. Rebeca could have gotten her a nice child support arrangement, and she'd be better off away from there.

I wonder what Renato's reaction will be to Gonzalo having announced an important new investor. Was it his idea in the first place?

CORAZÓN - VIERNES

It's probably going to be a horse race between Débora and Tiberio as to who can steal Baby Isabel first.

LA CASA/Friday
Novelamaven --thanks for the great summary.

I think that Renato accused Eva of having done something terrible in the past, that was more than being involved with Igor Mora's downfall.

I also think from the beginning Adolfo's plan was to destroy BOTH the Conde and Ruiz families. That's why I think there could still be the possibility that if Gonzalo is the third brother, he is getting Javier through his seduction of Pilar. As Hombre pointed out, it also can be that Gonzalo said what he did about another international company to help sink the Conde empire.
Gonzalo still remains a complete cipher. We still have no backstory on him at all. Same for Matias...

MI CORAZON - Lunes

It was sort of like the calm before the storm. Lola loves her little girl Isabel, and brings her home from Panama. Everyone is enchanted. Rodrigo comes over, gives love to his nieta (which Lola half-heartedly continues to deny), and Andres hears about his daughter in prison, after teaching a fellow inmate about prime numbers :)

Meanwhile, the security guard has been brought back from Mexico to re-testify, and both Camilo and Rodrigo are confident this will get Andres released (presumably for a new trial, but who knows?). The only problem is protecting him (and a recording) until the hearing, and Correa tells Felix, Tiberio's henchman this. Tiberio gives the order to (I think) kill both the security guard and Rodrigo, but fortunately, they're not at Rodrigo's house when the killers arrive (they were at Lola's). The bad guys shoot up Rod's place, and Tiberio is mad, so for now, the hit is off.

Debora's trying to figure out the connection between Tiberio and Lola. Tiberio sends a jungle jim to Lola as a present for the baby with no card. Lola doesn't know who it's from, and asks Pepe to take it apart. One of Tiberio's henchman tells Debora that he ordered the jungle jim on Tiberio's orders, but doesn't know why.

Tiberio has kept Soledad as his sexual slave for all these months, and he taunts her that she'll never see her nieta. He also orders Felix to throw her in with the other prostitutes.

So it looks as if bad things are just about to happen.

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

Lots of action, not so much fun. Emilio is unconscious from being hit by the baseball bat of the fellow gambler, who tosses the bat in the bushes and takes the motorcycle. Although Hilda had just said she was through with Emilio, when she sees him hurt, she decides that she loves him after all, and in the hospital, she begs him to be all right, thinking a lot of this was her fault.

Renato is pleased with Gonzalo's bold move in the press conference, and completely ignores Nibaldo's desire to get home and explain to Yolanda where he was. I'm not liking Renato so much today.

Rosa, calling herself Cecilia, shocks Pilar in the therapy session, saying she's in love with a married man, named Gonzalo, who's married to someone named Conde. Hah! Pilar goes bonkers (again). Later, Javier visits to menace her and Diego, and although Gonzalo arrives to get rid of him (after being punched), Javier's just getting started, and Pilar doesn't believe Gonzalo's denials about a woman named Cecilia.

Carola gets her father's gun from the safe, and followed by Matias, trying to dissuade her, goes to the clinic, where she promptly shoots Rosa (misses) and gets arrested and thrown into jail.

Adolfo/Ismael is just eating all this up. First Renato's dead (he thinks), now Carola in jail. And he didn't have to do anything! He doesn't even know about Emilio (ironically the family thinks he did that one, too). He just wants Rosa to continue with Pilar, although she's getting a little afraid of this whole thing.

The doctor tells the family that the next few hours will be key for whether Emilio comes through, although he is stabilized. Could he actually die?

I can't wait to see that smirk wiped off of Adolfo's face. As we may recall, he killed his brother, slashed Lydia and later ran her down with a car, probably killed the gardener, hired the guy to start a fire that killed about 9 people, seduced Ignacia, Carola and Rosa for various reasons, and he even hates his mother! Yes, he's a bad, bad boy.

FLOR SALVAJE:

A really excellent episode last night.

I loved the scene where Correcaminos told Amanda that to keep herself sane, she had to create another person, Flor Salvaje, who has sex with Urrieta while Amanada is hidden and still a virgin for when she falls in love.

I liked the scene where Enrique, the reporter comes to interview Catalina. We learn that Catalina inherited the oil-rich lands so she is the source of Urrieta's riches.

I liked the scenes with Sacto and Pablo camping in the woods and discussing life.

It was all good!

FLOR SALVAJE - LUNES

Rafael Urrieta has dropped all of his mask. He threatens everyone in town. He even goes into the house of self-righteous Brigida looking for Sacramento.

Amanda is very concerned when Dudi tells her Sacto has gone to find work in the oil fields. But he assures her that there are thousands of guys and he'll just blend in. Meanwhile Sacto and his new buddy, Pablo Aguilar have gotten to speak to Evaristo, the hiring boss. They are rejected for having been in fights in line.

Rafa finds the knife in Amanda's casita and accuses her of planning to kill him, as well as having drugged him. Amanda confesses it all. She tells him she drugged him so that she wouldn't have his hands all over her, the same ones he used to torture his wife. Rafa is impactado, but of course wants to blame the "visit" on Sacto. She tells him a man with self respect doesn't maltreat a woman.

He decides to try again to rape her, but Zahra stops him and, miraculously he listens when she tells him that, if he wants a willing and loyal woman, he can't get that by force.

Clara accuses Rocío of having gone to Timotes to be with Mariano. She says that he hasn't been to see her because he's getting ready to marry someone else.

Sadly, Catalina is spotted on the train by Mariano (the jerk grins like he's won the lottery) and recaptured. Rafa has the cojones to accuse HER of giving him a bad reputation as an abuser of women.

Rocío tells Clara she should go to Timotes herself and prove what Mariano is up to. What she does is confusing. She takes the little boat, but jumps in the river halfway across. I guess she never got to Timotes. Too bad, I was looking forward to her finding out the truth

There's a ray of hope for Cat as Enrique, the reporter, having heard the rumors, shows up wanting to interview her. When Rafa tries to say she isn't feeling well, Enrique tells him he'll "be obliged to publish the rumors that she's a prisoner."

Rafa gets her cleaned up and decently dressed but points a gun at her and tells her he'll kill the reporter if she says anything.

There was a long and interesting conversation between Amanda and Correcaminos (CC) about how a woman can create another persona that is a willing prostitute. At the same time, these activities never affect the real person. She tells Amanda her name is Elena. She tells her Flor Salvaje has men pass by her (using the metaphor of a flower) but the flower remains free, and her real self will be untouched when the right man comes along.

Wow, the Flor persona was red hot. She had on a very sexy dress, elaborate makeup, and she was so good in bed with Rafa that he said he could hardly believe it was her first time if he hadn't "proven" that.

CORAZÓN - LUNES

Excellent recapette, Hombre. I had a different understanding of what Tiberio was doing with Soledad. I thought that last night was the only time he had sex with her. And he was very disappointed and clearly jealous, thinking she'd be different with Rod. She used to respond passionately when she loved him. Did he really expect her to be "hot to trot" with the guy who was going to throw acid all over her toddler?

I sure hope they can get that security guard to court in one piece. I never really thought anything bad would happen to Rodrigo. He's an integral part of the cast. His cooing over his nieta was very cute.

LA CASA - lunes

Evil gambling buddy whacks Emilio with a bat and throws it in the bushes. No one at the House of Hysteria and double-digit IQ's looks for the weapon, loaded with fingerprints.

Carola was BSC last night. She hollered at Matías when he was trying to talk her off the ledge that she didn't care if she went to jail for offing Adolfo. Of course, when she really does end up in the slammer, it's lots of tears and ¡saquenme de aquí! The poor little rich girl is not happy.

Pilar is a complete idiot. She totally buys Rosa's bogus story and refuses to even listen to the man she's madly in love with.

The only heroic character last night was Diego, standing up to Evil Dad and refusing to leave his mother alone. I don't even bother to gripe about Javier any more. He's 100% bad all the time.

I agree, Hombre. I was upset with Renato, mostly because by keeping him there we'll likely be treated to another over-the-top tongue lashing by Yolanda, who is giving menopausal women a bad name every episode.

LA CASA DE AL LADO -- lunes

Hombre and Novelera, Loved your comments today. Still chuckling over "No one at the House of Hysteria and double-digit IQ's looks for the weapon, loaded with fingerprints."

I realize there's no point in looking for sense in any of this anymore but I just don't get why Adolfo wants to drive Pilar crazy.

I'm starting to hate the Conde kids almost as much as Adolfo does. Behind bars is where Carola deserves to be. And as for Emilio, is there a more deserving candidate for having his head split open? Now let's have someone put everyone's favorite borderline, Ignacia, out of commission and we can call it a day.

LA CASA -
Coming late to the discussion, I juust wanted to add something I found really interesting. Pilar says to Gonzalo, when he doesn't udnerstand why she believes Rosa, that she doesn't know who he is, she doesn't know anything about his past,or about his family. And neither do we!! We still do not have one fact about his past. Im still thinking it has to be Gonzalo or Matias that is involved with Adolfo --unless they are red herrings.

Funny that Rosa chose as her last name -Avendano.

Adolfo has always said that he was after vengeance on both the Conde and Ruiz families. Hence his going after Pilar.

CORAZON- martes
Last night's episode basically involved Andres' retrial and a very unpleasant dinner party.

Debora tries to grill Felix about Tiberio's relationship to Lola. Felix doesn't provide any information but Debora reveals that one of Tiberio's other employees blabbed to her about how he had bought the jungle gym, or parque, as it seems to be called in Spanish, for Tiberio.

Felix passes this on to Tiberio who invites Debora and her parents to a dinner party during which he discuss how traitors are really bad and then kills the talkative employee with a samurai sword right in front of everyone, even splashing them with blood.
Yech!!

Andres gets to stab some more meat in his second trial. I'm not exactly sure what that showed but the recanted testimony of the security guard did the trick and he was acquitted of Marcelo's murder for insufficient evidence. There is much rejoicing but Lola isn't there. She went home after her testimony to check on Isabelita when she found out that Etelvina ran into Tiberio while walking the baby.

Chabela says that Lola is stronger now and doesn't need her around anymore.

Andres goes home with Debora but immediately tells her that he has to go next door to see his daughter. Debora considers doing harm to Lola but remembers the example Tiberio made of the talkative employee.

Evidently, Lola doesn't want Andres to see the baby and is maintaining the fiction that she isn't his child.

I think that was about it.

Corazon

Thanks Jean for the post. I ff through most of the trial, but the dinner scene was more or less what I expected. But to me the best scene was after Andres was acquitted how he hugged everyone and when it came to Debora it was a simple and quick "sort of" handshake. Again the actress playing Debora was fantastic as she played it off.

Lola is getting seriously boring, I hope with Andres out of jail they may put a bit of spark back into her character.

I want more Tiberio and more Debora. This is a first for me to be in favor of the bad guys.

Flor Salvaje

Wow the last few episodes have been amazing the talk of separation Flor/Amanda was excellent. Let's quickly get rid of the sister and let's get back to Flor/Amanda with Rafa or Sacramento.

MI CORAZON:

Thanks for the recap, Jean. I missed the first few minutes of the show, but when Debora "thought back" to the dinner party, it was pretty clear what had happened.

Lola, Etelvina and Pepe all think that Tiberio's name is something else, like Sr. Gonzales. Lola thinks something doesn't quite add up, but she's not sure what.

It also looks as if romance is brewing between Pepe and Etelvina.

The trial was a bit silly, with everybody referring to the previous trial and previous evidence. And that stuff about Andres' left hand didn't convince me of much. I bet he has as much strength in his left hand as Debora has in hers. But I was happy for the end result.

Nellie, I agree that Debora and Tiberio are the most fascinating characters at this point.

lA CASA DE AL LADO; TUESDAY

Lots of action last night, with all the Conde kids either acting out or falling apart.
1. Emilio wakes up, but can't see. Hilda has been by his side, and then invites Eva to join her. Eva finlly seemed to be warming up to Hilda. That can't besaid of Ignacia, who still calls her "the servant." After Hilda runs out of the hospital, she bumps into Rosa, who reminds her that she is on "their side." Hilda is mute --in general she alternates between being a passive dummy and really mouthing off. Someone should give her a lesson in assertiveness training.

2. Carola is sprung from prison by Matias. (By the way, I am clearly in the dark about whom Matias works for, if anyone, and how he manages to always be around the action). She then confronts Igor Mora and finds out that Adolfo is Ismael, and he doesn't have a daughter, but I think he shook his head to indicate there aere 3 children. Am I right about this? The Malo/Adolfo shows up, rejects his father, and once again seduces Carola sexually. Since ALGUIEN, these "cunados" really have their sex scenes down pat. They are really hot together. So much for Carola's shooting Adolfo!

3. The "mature" Ignacia breaks into Pilar's office and trashes it. Pilar stands up to Ignacia, who threatnes her. She also tells Pilar that Gonzalo has signed a paper saying he will stay with her in exchange for Renato giving him money and shares in his empre. Naturally Pilar is impactada, and goes off to confront Gonzalo. But lousy therapist that she is, she doesn't give him a chance to communicate or explain. Poor Gonzalo: he's between a rock and a hard place with these two crazy women.

Speaking of Gonzalo, after a slow start, his lie has paid off and the Conde stock prices begin to zoom. Rebeca, Matias, and he are thrilled --even though they were previously angry with him for doing something illegal. How is he going to get out of this one? Javier, in the meantime, has arranged a meeting with all the best lawyers in Miami (????) to bad mouth Gonzalo. Luckily Karen overhears and tires to protect Gonzalo by telling Yolanda, who doesn't want to hear about it.

The one thing I find interesting about this novela is how the writer keeps manipulating your feelings so that one minute you hate a character and the next minute you like the same character. So much of the characters don't make sense, but it works because it seems like everything is in the service of the action.

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

The good news: Emilio wakes up. The bad news? He's blind. I guess Hilda didn't see that coming.

Pilar catches Ignacia trashing her office. So it wasn't Javier, it was Ignacia. She'll call the cops, file a lawsuit. Not so fast, says Ignacia. Remember what Javier is capable of. Remember what I'm capable of. Gonzalo es mio! Pilar caves.

Carola finds out from Igor Mora that Adolfo is really Ismael Mora. Ahah! I think she also confirms that there were 3 siblings, but that's as far as she gets, because Adolfo bursts in. After a little threatening, Carola is just about to smash Adolfo with a candlestick when he turns on the charm, and once again, she's putty in his arms. She just can't resist his hotness. Oh well.

Javier is planning all kinds of things against Gonzalo, such as telling lots of rich lawyers how Gonzo married for money, then dumped her, and hiring a detective to follow Pilar and Gonzalo. He even tells the detective that he's going to "eliminate" Gonzo! Karen overhears this, tries to tell Yolanda, but she's too worried about Nibaldo to listen.

Nibaldo interrupts Renato's selfish musings to tell him that Emilio's in the hospital, it looks very serious. Renato has some second thoughts about his master plan, since he can't very well visit Emilio, since he's "dead".

Gonzalo, Matias and Rebeca celebrate, because the Conde stock went through the roof! Yes, Gonzo's risky move worked with the investors. Unfortunately for him, Pilar trusts him less and less (since besides Cecilia's rant, she also got a phone call from someone (it was Rosa) saying not to trust Gonzalo.

Rosa is still trying to get Hilda to help in the plan. Hilda can't believe Rosa's brazenness, and now that Emilio's hurt, she has all sorts of second thoughts about hurting the Condes. Even Eva was nice to her. But who thinks Hilda will actually stand up to Rosa, and stop working with her, or at least tell someone what she's already done? Not me.

LA CASA:

NJ Sue, I see we both posted about the same time. It's almost like a telenovela!

You're right, Carola showed Igor Mora Rosa's picture, and he confirmed that is not one of his children. And I'm pretty sure he assented to her question of whether there were three.

Yes, the Gonzalo theory (as the 3rd son) is still alive.

LA CASA - MARTES

Great recaps, NJ Sue and Hombre.

God the people on this show are so annoying I'm having to restrain myself from throwing things at the screen. I couldn't believe Carola got seduced by Ismael again, after a crazy plan to kill him the night before.

There's no logic in what Ignacia said to Pilar, if Pilar had a brain in her head. She said that Gonzalo had a big chunk of stock (not such a great deal lately) to stay with her. Well, he left her, so he was already in breach of that contract and apparently Pilar means enough to him to give it up. Duh.

I can't think of a worse fate for Emilio than blindness. His whole world is looking at things: spy monitors, computer screens.

Are we meant to believe the stock rise will only last one day? Javier not only told the "eminent lawyers" about Gonzalo supposedly marrying Iggy for her money and then dumping her, but he talked about the stock manipulation lie he told at the press conference. Also, is Javier somehow still working for Conde Enterprises in some capacity? If so, how can he try, in a very visible way, to sink the whole company by meeting with those lawyers?

FLOR SALVAJE - MARTES

Nellie, you're right. The episodes this week have been very exciting.

We see a lot of Pablo Aguilar and Sacramento bonding. Pablo angers Sacto at one point by speaking dismissively of prostitutes. Sacto says his mother was one, and he wants to do anything he can to save other women from this. Pablo tells Sacto that he used to be a nicer guy, like Sacto, but experience of the world hardened him.

Flor can hardly wait to get Rafa out of her casita. He tells her how much the night meant to him and tries to kiss her. No dice.

Enrique and Raimundo (the best friend of Cat's deceased father) talk about Rafa's lie that Catalina is sick. Raimundo assures him that's not the case.

Rafael Urrieta, besides being a heartless person, is completely insensitive. He tells Zahra that Flor surpassed her in the bedroom department. Meanwhile Flor/Amanda is scrubbing herself raw in the tub to remove all traces of him.

I think Flor should just let Ana go ahead and be a prostitute. She's dying to do it, and she's got the right kind of hard heart.

It appears I was right, and Catalina is not going back to the calabozo. She's being allowed to live in the house. Rafa comes in to brag about his night with Flor, telling her his life is sweeter now. She gets in a dig: ¿Y qué sentías cuando su hermosa madre pidió limosna en la calle? Apparently Rafael's mother was extremely poor and begged in the street.

Flor refused to touch the money Rafa gave her (lots!!). She asked Zahra to handle it and use it for her sisters. Zahra is a very honest madam. She counted out the school fees and clothes and gave the rest to Dora to put in an account for Flor's future.

Clara almost sees Mariano and Lourdes walking together in the evening. In the morning she sees the wedding announcement in the paper. She shows up at the civil ceremony making a scene, slapping Mariano. She also reveals that she was headed for a major modeling career until M brought her to Nueva Esperanza and set her up as a prostitute in order to take the money for himself. I'd like to see this guy get taken prisoner by Doña Bárbara. She's very creative dealing with men like him.

Cat is planning something. Apparently everything still legally belongs to her, including the oil fields. But Rafa gets some very strong pills to give her. I think he plans to finish her off with them. We don't see if she's going to take them or not.

Ana, who I totally despise, tells her younger sisters when they are at school how Flor earns her living.

Lourdes tells Clara she has to leave and, after Clara shows her the ring, says she knows he wouldn't have given her such an obvious piece of glass.

Lourdes seems to know what she's married, and tells him she doesn't care what he does with prostitutes as long as she isn't embarrassed.

The P's joyfully get together and have bought Clara a wedding dress. She sees it upon her return and puts it on and hangs herself. Rocío comes in, but it looks like too late.

Excellent recapette, Novelera. I agree the last two episodes have been great. This novela reminds me so much of Dona Barbara. We've already learned more about the characters in the first weeks it has been on than in all of Herederos.

I second just letting Ana just do what she wants. It seems rather bizarre that no one took advantage of Ana and Susanna already. I would have expected that young, nubile, unprotected girls sent to do manual labor would have been raped immediately by overseers or sold to brothels.

I like the relationships among the women at the 4P's. They are friends and rivals.

FLOR SALVAJE - MARTES

Yes, Jean, this novela also reminds me of Doña Bárbara. The scenes of the river, of course, seem very similar.

The other thing about both novelas is that they feature towns where a couple of powerful people (Pernalete and Doña Bárbara in DB and Rafael and Mariano in FS) run everything and run roughshod over anyone who gets in their way

GENERAL

Hey Telemundo folks. Just dropping in to say that while flipping around channels after the tns tonight, I happened upon a show on the USA network called Necessary Roughness, and there was Mario Cimarro (Los Herederos)! He was playing the latin lover of the best friend of the heroine-- she met him in a wine bar. He was all hunky charm, only spoke in Spanish, and had the ladies hot under the collar. I had to laugh.

GENERAL -
Thanks, Vivi. I knew about that. I follow Cimarro on Twitter (don't ask). I saw part of the episode last night.

CORAZON - miercoles

Andres is pounding on the door of Lola's house demanding to see the baby but she won't let him in. Finally, he leaves.

Camilo is putting the moves on Sofia again (this is geting old) when she gets a call that Danny is in a hospital in LA. She and Camilo leave immediately and find Danny in bad shape. Sofia says that she has to detoxify Danny's system before she can send him to rehab. Camilo promises to help her.

Ramon warns Debora that if Andres takes over as the president of Exportex, he will discover the bad stuff that is going on and Tiberio will kill him. But fortunately for Debora, Andres doesn't want to be involved with the company anymore and leaves her in charge.

Pepe is getting his car worked on when he sees and recognizes Bobby in the waiting room. He follows him to the brothel where Adelita is working. He goes inside but gets thrown out immediately as obviously not being a customer.

Pepe tells Lopez what he has discovered. Lopez in turns tells Rodrigo who decides to go to the brothel himself. Unluckily, Felix is there and recognizes him. He consults with Tiberio and they decide to kill Rodrigo but not until the murder can't be traced to them. Presumably, Tiberio's folks don't know the Rodrigo/Adela connection and assume that he is looking for Soledad.

Sofia hypnotizes Lola and she remembers that her mother didn't let her cry to protect her and keep her existence secret.

Lola and Sofia go out to eat but end up in a restaurant owned by Tiberio. Lola accuses him of following her and warns him to stay away from her.

Andres sneaks into Lola's house and Pepe lets him stay with Chabelita. Lola overhears him vowing his love for her and the baby and promising to raise and protect the baby. All of a sudden, she starts to cry because it so wonderful to see the baby with her father. In fact, she can't stop crying. Chabela reassures that now she is a whole person and can go on with her life.

Lola doesn't fall into Andres' arms but she admits that Isabelita is his child.

I think that was about it.

MI CORAZON:

Thanks for the recap, Jean. It was really touching to see Andres with the baby, and then Lola, finally letting her feelings wash over her, even going in and being nice to Andres. The previews had indicated something would make her cry, and I was worried the baby would be stolen (which could still happen). This was a pleasant surprise.

Tiberio seems to own all the clubs, restaurants and whorehouses anyone might want to visit. And lots of people know him by his pseudonym, Gonzales. You'd think some cop would notice the scar and put 2 and 2 together, but I guess not (yet).

When Marcelo was alive, he was the main bad guy. Now that he's dead, Tiberio is the bad guy. The writers handled that change very well.

I think Camilo is slowly wearing down Sofia's resistance. She was impressed he would stay up all night to help her with Daniel.

LA CASA DE AL LADO:

Hilda doesn't want to help Rosa, but Rosa and Adolfo threaten her, she's an "accomplice" now. Her next mission. She has to kill Igor Mora with the standard telenovela "eyedrops". If she doesn't, they'll kill Emilio. What will she do?

Gonzalo was happy the stock price went up. But now, the firm is losing clients. He's sure Javier is responsible, and when he goes to Javier's house to confront him, Javier has a bunch of lawyers and clients there, and yes, he's bad mouthing Gonzo. The fact that Gonzalo was a bit out of control and hit Javier doesn't help. Gonzalo meets with Rebeca and Matias to come up with some counterattack.

Matias professes his love for Rebeca, he's been in love with her since he first saw her. He also tells Rebeca that Javier hired him to spy on Pilar. Rebeca's upset, that's her sister. She's going to talk with the detective (Matias will give her the info).

Pilar is finally getting some backbone. Despite all the doubts about Gonzalo, and despite the fact that Javier says he loves only her, she's taking control of her life, and not letting anyone push her around (maybe). Yolanda tells her to file a domestic abuse complaint against Javier. Her sister didn't act, and ended up dead.

Renato just can't bear that his son is in the hospital, so he sneaks in at night and silently caresses Emilio's head. Emilio recognizes his steps, his touch, his cologne, but when he tells the others he was there last night, of course they don't believe him.

At a meeting of Ignacia, Carola, Eva and Gonzalo, they discuss how terrible Adolfo is. And what about that Rosa? says Carola. She holds out a picture. She's not even Igor Mora's daughter, she's some kind of fraud. At that moment, Pilar walks in and is shocked that the picture of her new patient, "Cecilia"! Hopefully this will clear things up with Gonzalo. If they were smart, the family would keep quiet and trap Cecilia, but knowing them, they'll blab everything, and Rosa won't be caught. Too bad Hilda wasn't in the room at this time, although she'd probably remain silent as usual.

Yolanda is so mad at Nibaldo about his affair that she follows him to his love nest. She bursts in the door to find that his "amante" was actually Renato, who's not dead!!

FLOR SALVAJE - MIÉRCOLES

Sacramento is being nursed by Pablo through a bad case of malaria where the workers camp out.

Ana is missing, and Malicia tells Flor she saw her in a "bar dress" and high heels.

Cat refuses to take the pills from Rafa, but he holds her down and forces them on her. Before that she tells him that probably Flor feels terrible because he's taken advantage of her needing money for her sisters. She's sure she's disgusted.

Clara did die from the hanging, breaking cervical vertebrae. Zahra says that Mariano was not her novio, rather her verdugo (executioner, tormenter). Mariano books out of the wedding party and goes to the scene of the suicide. He's spooked by the fact that her eyes won't close, and says that Indians believe if the eyes of the dead person don't close, they're coming to get someone (I hope so!).

The 4P's is shut down for mourning. Clara is getting very drunk and maudlin. She blames herself for telling Clara to go to Timotes.

Ana HAS gone to Timotes and is looking for a room to rent to "work".

A worker tells Rafa that one of the Ps committed suicide. He flashes back to what Cat told him and assumes Flor was so disgusted by having sex with him that she did herself in. His horse, of course, already is saddled and he roars off to town. When he gets there he's telling Mariano he'll kill Zahra. Mariano tells him it was Clara. He goes into a predictable TN villain jealous rage because Flor is not there.

Ana is flaunting herself all over the wharf area and has some money as well. Three thugs back her into an alley, hold a knife to her throat and steal the money. Of course, rape is on the menu as well. Flor arrives and bashes the guys with a convenient log.

Ana isn't at all grateful and tells Flor she could have defended herself. She asks why Flor followed her. Flor finds out that she stole some of the money left by Rafa. By the way she looks at her, Flor seems to be getting an inkling that her sister may be a sociopath. She tells her she only thinks of herself, and she'll sic the police on her if she steals again. Ana looks a little scared at that, but her real concern is wanting to get something to eat!

Back at the Ps, the saintly Susana is fed up with Ana and wishes she'd just go away and leave them alone.

While Ana and Flor are in the restaurant they are impactadas to find their father waiting tables there.

MI CORAZÓN - MIÉRCOLES

Thanks, Jean and Hombre for mini-recaps of last night's episode.

That was some fine acting by Jencarlos, falling madly in love with his daughter. Of course, galanes in TNs always adore their kids, but this one was special because he believes his first child was miscarried.

I hope Lola's finally crying doesn't mean Chabela will go away. I've come to rather like her scolding of Lola.

That was a smooth, TN lengthening device having Andrés decide he will let Débora run the company. Having him find out about Tiberio's involvement would have brought things to a head too quickly. And they said in the very beginning that he was more interested in art and architecture.

FLOR -
Thanks for the recap, Novelera. Another good episode.

I laughed when Rafael whistled and his horse appared, fully saddled like Zorro!

In the scene where Zahra is arranging the velorio, Piruetas says that he has borrowed an "urna" from an old guy who had been a customer of Clara's. Is he talking about a flower vase? It can't be an urn for ashes - they are going to bury Clara.

I also liked Rocio's comeback when nasty Brigida wouldn't even give her the keys of the church - Jesus accepted people like me.
At least Brigida's daughter seems less judgmental.

I'm with Susana. I will Ana would get what she so richly deserves and go away.

GENERAL

hi Vivi in DC: whoa!!! Mario Cimarro is muy calente! i'll definitely have to check that out. thanks for the notice.

FLOR - MIÉRCOLES

Jean, you reminded me. I had the same confusion about urna, normally used to store ashes and the fact that they were trying to get her buried in the churchyard.

Piruetas was funny, imitating the 80-year old who was going to "lend" his urna for Clara. Apparently the guy said Clara brought him back to life! So, if it does somehow mean a coffin (which should be ataud), does this mean they dump her out of the thing right into the ground and then return the old man's burial device?

FLOR:
I don't think Urna meant a coffin because Zahra asks one of the girls to go to somebody's shop and buy a coffin (ataud). They did seem to think it was worthy of remark that the old guy wanted the urna back, which wouldn't be the case I don't think for a vase.
Maybe we can figure it out when we see the velorio.

I think everyone hit it out of the ballpark today with the comments. And as always thank you to the recappers.

La Casa
Very difficult for me to watch this, I agree with those of you who think that the master criminal here is Gonzalo. It seemed the other day that the directors were highlighting his eyes a la Morticia Adams. I just think in this novela there have been many "coincidences" that point to Gonzalo. But I look forward to seeing how it plays out, my most important thing is why Pilar? Don't understand why she's been targeted. Did a former patient tell her something that they need and she does not realize it?

Flor
Please just quickly drown the sister the river, let's get her out of the picture, please do not ruin this TN. I always think they get the wrong actresses to play these parts. I like the acting of the Rafa character. Mariano being spooked last night made me crave more! Like the comment about the horse being saddled, I too laughed at that, was waiting for Tonto to show up. I did not understand the talk about the urn or whatever it is.

Corazon
Can someone please tell me how to get the spark back for this TN? The scene and words from father to newborn were awesome, but can't seem to care about this plotline. It left once Lola married Apolo. I just want to see more Tiberio and Debora. I had hoped for a slightly different storyline, after Lola gives birth before returning (was she not prohibited from travelling outside the country?) I would have liked to hear that she was selling the mansion so she can get away from Andres. She's going to deny Andres is the father yet move back across the street? It would have followed with Andres doing cartwheels to find her, Tiberio going nuts trying to find a new way to track her and of course Debora jumping for joy which would have lead to her turning Tiberio in?

Mario - It was great to see him on Necessary Roughness, please bring him back. I wonder if the ratings went up because he was on. He will always be my badboy in illusion, would never want someone like him in real life. It was nice to see him without a hat!

MiCorazon
Thank you Hombre, Jean and everyone else whose comments clear up alot of my confusion. I missed the fact that Andres is not interested in taking over as President of Exportex.
Did Daniel end up selling his shares to Ramon, or to Deborah?
J in Oregon

FLOR SALVAJE - JUEVES

When Flor lights into Abelardo about deserting them after Emilio died, he feebly pulls a few pesos from his pocket to give to them. Ana, of course, goes for it. But Flor refuses to take it. Meanwhile the nasty wife Leticia comes out and says they don't serve prostitutes. Flor tells her they are his daughters. She throws them out anyway.

Mariano is either worrying about Clara's eyes being open or actually felt something for her, because he's drinking heavily. And, even more telling, he hasn't gone back to the rich wife, a really risky move. Enrique joins him and starts to ask some pointed questions. Mariano replies with veiled threats.

Ana is hopeless. She blames her father's spinelessness on the wife. She says that her father is definitely better than Zahra. She can't see that Zahra has been very kind to them. She winds up her little pout by telling Flor that she is the worst person of all of them.

Cat is still sleeping from the pills. Rafa comes in and removes the sheet from her and gazes at her. The next morning, she wakes nude to find him in her bed. She's horrified.

Piruetas does a eulogy for Clara on 4P radio and plays a sad song in her honor.

After Flor and Ana return to Zahra's, Flor tells her to go get ready for school, and gets a predictable reaction. Flor tells Olga that Ana was trying to set herself up as a prostitute. Olga says that she knows what Ana is.

Malicia watches Enrique sketching in the main plaza. He comments that he doesn't understand why no one in town talks about the headless statue. Maybe they all have their heads elsewhere.

Pablo is a very good friend. He carries Sacramento on his back a long way until they reach a medical facility. This place doesn't have the good malaria drugs, so Pablo says he'll work for the money to pay for them. Sacto is hallucinating a lot under a mosquito net.

Rafael is a monster. He wants Cat to take more pills and, when she refuses, he threatens to put Luisa's hand in the fire. She pretends to take them and then spits them out when his back is turned.

Raimondo did get a priest. CC is reading from the bible the passage about "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". The P's gather from the text that Mary Magdalene belonged to their union and give her a round of applause. The priest is horrified.

Pablo mails the postcards from Rio and other places that were from Sacto.

Rafael is furious with Flor, telling her she can't leave without permission. She responds that she's not a slave. When he asks how he can know she wasn't with another man, she responds that she will never love any man. He swears that he'll get her to love him. The guy only gets more obsessed seeing he really hasn't dominated her. He wants her to "attend" him instead of being at Clara's velorio. She says the P's aren't attending clients, and if he wants a woman he'll have to look for one elsewhere.

Pablo finally gets a job in the oil fields.

Malicia is posing for a painting by Enrique.

A bunch of guys are hanging out outside Flor's casita hoping to get a look at her. Rafa rides up and says: "She's mine. Go away." Flor comes out and a guy delivers the postcards. Rafa snatches them out of her hand and says they're from Sacto. She smiles with pleasure.

FLOR - Thanks for the recap, Novelera. Where I live Telemundo went off the air in the middle of Corazon and never came back on during Flor's airtime.

FLOR SALVAJE

Jean, bummer! I'm sure you know that you can watch the episode on the Telemundo web site the day after it airs, if you're so inclined.

FLOR SALVAJE - JUEVES

I forgot one crucial thing that happened. When Flor and Rafael were arguing about her being out all night, she told him that nothing lasts forever, hinting that there might be an end to her relationship with him. He replied that she would be his until she died. She gets angry at this. He then told her that, if she didn't stay with him, he could make her sisters disappear. He found them, and he can take them away.

I'm already imagining death scenarios for this guy.

CORAZON - jueves

This is partial since, as I mentioned above, Telemundo went off the air in the middle of the episode.

Débora is furious when she finds that Andres is not in the house. She curses Marcelo and says that she will always lose to Lola.

Pepe tells Andres that Lola cried. He is impactado.

Chabela does in fact leave and Lola is crying a lot more.

Lola tells Andres that he can see the baby whenever he wants to as long as it is in her house. She is afraid of Debora.

Andres returns to his house and tells Débora and her family how it will be - he will go and see his daughter whenever he wants to.

Andres tells Camilo that he has no evidence that Débora is doing anything wrong at Exportex. Maybe it was Marcelo who was behind the criminal acts. Then he asks Camilo to formally acknowledge him as Isabelita's father.

Sílvia is keeping Danny is a drug induced coma while his body detoxifies.

Lola tells Camilo that she doesn't want her daughter to have Andres' last name. She is afraid of Débora's reaction. She says that Isabelita is a Volcan.

Andres walks in on Tiberio meeting with Débora. TIberio introduces himself as Carlos Gonzalez and says that he is an old friend of Ramon's come to say hi to his niece.

Andres tells Débora that he doesn't want Ramon around the office and if she doesn't want to kick Ramon out, he'll take over the presidency of the company again.

Adela sees Soledad in the bordello and gets into her room. She tells Soledad that Lola believes that she is alive and is searching for her everywhere.

Soledad tells Adela to take the first opportunity to escape and call Lola.

Correa reports to Tiberio about the police plan to raid the brothel. Once again, Tiberio says that Rodrigo has to go and looks at his samurai swords. Tiberio tells Felix to bring Soledad back to his place and not let her watch TV.

Adela does escape from the brothel.

Lola tell Silvia that she was able to cry for joy and also about talking to the ghost of Chabela. Silvia said something comforting and that was when we lost the signal.

MI CORAZÓN INSISTE - JUEVES

Jean, the tía who is a psychiatrist and who is treating Daniel is Sofía.

I guess the writers are going to have the rat Correa listen every single time Rodrigo speaks to López.

Tiberio had told Félix that it was time to get rid of Rodrigo.

When Andrés is on his way to his father's apartment, he sees some thuggy guys crouched down at the front of Rodrigo's car. He ran them off.

His father doesn't have much time to listen to Andrés, although he does embrace him when he tells him he's seen his daughter. Rod tells Andrés he's on his way to raid the bordello.

Just as Rodrigo is walking to his car, the light bulb goes on over Andrés head and he shouts "Papá, no", and runs toward him. The car explodes and we see Andrés and Rodrigo both blown some distance. Rodrigo has blood all over him.

Flor Salvaje

thank you so much novelera!

(for Jean, a little more if you don't get the chance to see this one)

on a more mystical note, Sacramento's fever worsens, he dreams...

he is chained to heavy logs, before him appears a wild flower, and in the flower the face of Amanda appears, she is reaching out to him, asking for help, he cannot escape...

Sacramento awakes in the arms of Pablo, who has been watching over him 24/7.

Sacramento worsens, collapses at work, Pablo throws him over his shoulder and hikes to the nearest clinic, who knows how many miles away, they will care for him but don't have the drugs he needs.

Pablo heads to the oil fields looking for work, and the money to buy the drugs. Along the way he happens to stop for a tatoo, a wild flower, on his chest.

Sacramento has the dream again, Amanda calls to him, he breaks free this time, the chains bursting in flames, he awakes in the arms of the nurse...

CORAZON - Sofia, Silvia, at least I got the first letter right ;-)

Thanks, Novelera, for finishing up the CORAZON recap.

It should be an interesting episode tonight.

LA CASA:

I couldn't post earlier, because I spent the day at a bluegrass festival (it was fantastic!). But I just wanted to put out my suspicion (which even more likely after tonight's show) that Gonzalo a) is the older brother to Ismael and Ivan, b) killed Rosa, because he's protecting Ismael, and felt Ismael was jeopardizing things by using Rosa, who was making lots of mistakes with Carola and Hilda. We definitely saw Gonzalo go out for a breath of fresh air and stay out for hours. And tonight Hilda said she thought Rosa was dead BEFORE Adolfo showed up. We also saw Adolfo be upset with Rosa's death. So Gonzalo as the third brother is more and more likely. Of course the Condes think the third brother is Javier. Hah!
