Teresa Mon 8/15/11 #116 Oriana, What Big Teeth You Have! All The Better to Devour You With!

Redux:  Teresa has managed to seduce Fernando having him massage her shoulders and neck.  She reminds him in a sensual whisper that they have a special something, especially now that she has his blood in her veins.  They share a meaningful stare.

Luisa walks into the hospital room and sees “That Look” pass between Tere and Nando.  Tere breaks the mood and smiles at Lu as if nothing’s happened.  She’s excited that she has started to sense touch again.  Lu comes over but (unlike hot blooded Fernando) her hands are icy cold.  Lu laughs that she needs to have to have a (warm) hug from Fernando.  Again Nando and Tere share a meaningful stare and cautious smiles.  (Strains of Foreigner’s “Hot Blooded” are blasting loud throughout Viewerville, however.  Around Teresa he’s definitely got a temp of 103 and we don’t have to read his mind to know what he’s got in mind for this hot mama!  Does she do more than tease?)

Back at Casa de los Caceras: Aida and the even more odious Oriana are having another female doggies’ gripe session about Teresa and the magic spell she seems to cast on every man she meets--even decent guys like Mariano and Arturo can’t see through her!  Yes, says Orca-iana.  “--She’s been lucky up till now.  What makes her dangerous though is that she’s extremely intelligent and very shrewd.”  Now that Art is penniless it will be interesting to see if she’ll bounce from him to somebody else.  It’ll be her trial by fire.  Not to worry, tho’.  She’s making it her job to expose her for who she really is to everyone.

At the hospital, Esperanza and Mariano discuss her and Hernan the Galan’s marrying there at the hospital and Rodrigo’s being baptized immediately after.  Too bad he can’t be the little guy’s godfather now since Esp thought he should be; but since Tere’s the godmother we all know that Art will have to be the godfather.  That’s the breaks, says Mar.  He mentions that Hector the Director has forbidden him to even enter her hospital room so he hopes that Esp will keep him up to date with Teresa’s progress.  Of course she will.

Meanwhile, Martin tells Aurora over coffee and croissants that he’s opening up a new restaurant in Paris and that means that the two of them will be living in France till the place is up and running on its own.  Aurora speaks the lingo and since she’ll be out of med school very soon, it won’t be a problem for her to practice over there.  She doesn’t seem to like the idea of being so far away from everyone she knows and loves.  Marty seems to be blind as a bat to that.  (Poor deluded shmuck.)

Back in Tere’s hospital room Lu gives Teresa a bit of a backgrounder on how this isn’t the first time Art’s had to adapt to economic hardship.  Back when their father was accused of murder and then later, after their parents died, they had to live on a shoestring for quite a while until the courts finally cleared them to get their inheritance.  Teresa says she never knew that about Art.  Well, it only makes her admire him more!  Nando’s eyes betray the green-eyed monster taking root.

Aurora returns to the hospital and informs Daddy that Martin’s planning to move back to Paris for a while immediately after she graduates and she’ll have to take up a practice there.  From the look on Hec’s face it seems he wasn’t expecting any long-term separation from his little girl.  They’ll have to chat later as Marty comes in to tell them they’re ready to start their Foundation meeting.

Meanwhile, Fernando tries explaining to Teresa that he offered his financial assistance to Arturo but that Art refused.  That’s why he bought the house from him.  Tere tells him and Lu that Art will continue to refuse any assistance until Mama Orca accepts her as Art’s wife.  Lu says no, it’s not that.  It’s that he simply doesn’t want to be indebted to Luisa’s husband for any reason.  The nurse comes in at that point to take Tere for some tests.  Teresa informs them that if the tests come out right, then she’ll get to go home the next day.

In Mariano’s office Hec, Aurora and Marty are discussing the opening of Paloma’s Pediatric Wing.  They have the staff already hired.  It’ll be on PetPal’s birthday.  Art arrives a bit late.  We learn from Hec that he’s taken over as director of the Foundation again and that Ruben kept this set of books spotless.  (Hey, does this gig come with a humongous salary like it does  up here?)  Art says he wants Martin to continue handling the funds, but Marty has to refuse since he and Aurora may be moving to France and he’d have to be in Mexico to do it properly.  The news of their leaving to live in France hits Mariano like a kick in the gut.

That night at Genoveva’s, in between slobbery kisses to her neck, Ruben asks for his own set of keys to her castle.  She turns on him and says to hold his horses.  She’s not the stupid fool Mayra was, and if she finds out he’s still got the hots for Esperanza he can forget Genny and her dinero, y punto!  Oh where oh where would she get that kind of an idea?  He’s only feeding Esp that story because he wants to insure he has visiting rights where his son is concerned in case their plans with Fito fall through!  Well, it’s too late to cancel the deal with Fito, she warns him, and this time they’re going to do things her way!  Whatever!  He’d better be certain that if she finds him cheating on her he’ll know the real Genoveva!  Like any self-respecting gigolo, Rubigote uses a few well-placed seductive kisses and gets her thinking of other less weighty things.....

Nobody understands why Aurora’s moving to France to bother Mariano so much.  It’s only because they have a number of projects in the works, he says.  Well, that’s what one does when they’re in love, says Marty.  They’re ready to leave everyone and everything behind to be with the one they love.   Projects aren’t a problem, says Hec.  He supports Aurora and Marty’s decision to live outside the country if they choose to.

Meanwhile, in another part of the hospital, Fito the Maldito Bandito, dressed like he’s heading out for a Nor'easter snowstorm in northern Minnesota, hides in the corner of the hallway and notices as Tere’s being wheeled from her room.

The next day Marty mentions Mariano’s reaction to their leaving possibly to live in France.  Sure, she says.  “--It’s because we’re friends and we have a number of projects we’ve been working on together.  But, that won’t cause me to change my mind.”  Mariano walks in with a list of invitees to the opening of the Pediatric wing and secretly notes the loving smile that passes between Aurora and Martin.

At the same time, Fito surprises Tere.  He tells her about Gen’s and Rubigote’s questioning what she had to do with Paulo’s getting involved with drugs.  What’s it worth to her to avoid them finding out she wrote out his class schedule for him so he’d be able to track him down and talk him into trying a taste.  Tere says she doesn’t believe he’s made contact with Gen.  “--And why not?”  “--Because she’d have recognized you from the police drawing they did of you and she’d have turned you into the police right away.”  That shuts him up for a second or three while he reprograms.

Mariano tells Aurora how much he’s going to miss having her around.  He’s going to miss her smile, her warmth and her humanity which is irreplaceable.   He leaves for surgery.  She puts on a woeful puppy look and sits there ready to weep.  She starts to draw a heart with hers and his name inside it, but Martin shows up just as she’s written the first three letters: MAR--.  He automatically assumes she’s been daydreaming of him and finishes the letters for her.

Fito regains his composure and lies that he’s never let her see his face.  He’s got a go between anyway, supposedly.  She whines she’s broke now so she can’t pay. He’d better leave or she’ll call security.  Oh really?  How?  Should he press the little button for her? She becomes exasperated and tells him to steal her car.  He doesn’t want to get fingered so they agree on him taking her keys which are in her purse.  Works for him.  He races out of the room.

Meanwhile, Refugio meets up with Mariano just as Odiana shows up.  He introduces the two and Odiana is so snobbish that she refuses to even acknowledge the introduction.  Once Refu leaves, Odiana asks who the woman is.  Why she’s Teresa’s mother and he has a great affection for her!  Odiana sniffs and looks like she needs to be deloused.  Gawd knows how many cooties must have jumped from that woman onto her!

At Casa de la Barrera, Art hands back the check Lu gave him from the sale of her apartment.  He wants her and Fernando to have the money as his wedding gift for their honeymoon.  They reluctantly accept.

It seems that Teresa will be getting discharged.  The nurse leaves and in with the wind blows Odiana to play another game of cat and mouse.  She tells Tere that she just met her mother and now knows why Tere was so eager to leave her and the world she comes from.  “--Ah, little girl!  She’s such a no account [poquita cosa]!”  “--You have no right to show such disrespect for my mother!”  “--Ah, don’t play the wilted flower with me.  You’re the first to be ashamed of her!”  Tere’s stung.   She fights to hold the tears back as odious Odiana smiles like the Cheshire Cat and searches her face to find traces of the pain she’s just caused her prey.

Juana drops by with a dress she’d originally made for Tere (I think). it’s for Espe to get married in.  Cutberto barges in just as Espe’s about to try it on.  What a jerk!  Juana leaves the two of them to talk.  Espe thanks him for the medallion and asks if he’ll be coming to the wedding.  Nope.  Juana’s going to be there with Dr. Big Belly [panzón].  But please don’t take it as a snub [desaire].  (Sorry, but every time I see Cutberto I want to delouse!!)  FF>> FF>>

Back in Teresa’s room once more: Tere whimpers to Odiana that she has no right to harras her this way, especially in her physical condition.  “--Oh come now!  I don’t feel any compassion for you nor am I taken in by your emotional blackmail.”  It’s not blackmail, corrects Tere.  She would just like her to understand her a little.  “--If you were in my place you’d understand so many things.”  Not to worry, says the Orca-iana.  She knows what she needs to of her.  Just then Art opens the door and sees the pained look on Teresa’s face.  Odiana smiles broadly at Art, her large, wolfish fangs glistening with saliva....  She was just telling Tere that she’d met her mother while talking to Dr. Sanchez, Mariano Sanchez.  Art ignores the barb and excuses the two of them.  They have an engagement they need to get to, he politely informs her as he rolls Teresa out of the room.  Odiana goes to her purse, takes out her phone and immediately calls Aeeeda to ask her a favor.

A crowd has gathered in one of the meeting rooms for Esp and Hernan’s civil wedding.  Everyone’s there.  Johnny manages to bring a copy of Rodrigo’s footprint so he’ll also be represented at the wedding.

At the same time, across the railroad tracks, Aeeeda is giving Odiana a tour of “La Vecindad”.  She takes it in like a trip to the Zoo.  She sees Buttberto walking down the stairs and asks for an introduction.  Supposedly she’s there to take a look at Mariano’s little clinic.

The ceremony goes over great. There’s a slight hiccup when Art gets a call that Tere’s car was stolen.  He’s got to get down to the police station immediately and report it for insurance purposes.  Tere puts on a great act for his benefit.  “--Ay!  That was all we needed! Why does this have to happen to us now that we don’t have....MONEY!”

Once Buttberto and La Orca start chatting she offers him a temporary position as her driver till she returns to Spain.  Aeeeda’s spoken well of him.  “--Aida?”  “--Well, Mariano Sanchez had suggested him.”  (Aha!  A couple of lies that hopefully  will lead to the Orca-ian’s getting her nasty face rubbed in her very own, very fresh cow pies.)  That and the large sum of pesos wins the sh1t-for-brains over, and he accepts the job.

Tere makes a little speech about how they’d always dreamed of marrying fantabulous men and that now they both have.  Mariano stands at the back of the room making doe eyes at Tere and looking glum.  Hernan excuses himself, Esp and Rodrigo’s godparents for a quick baptism.  Juana asks where Buttberto is. Johnny lies that he’s working.  Pati opens her mouth and says he’s just probably avoiding the party because Juana’s there with Aurora’s daddy. Johnny gives her the stink-eye.  Refu asks a round of applause to welcome in the little bundle of joy.  The cokes and candy are passed around.

Just then El Bigote crashes the reception with a copy of his papers suing for paternity rights and recognition of Rodrigo as his son. (Grrrrr!)  Art looks over the papers and reminds him that he’ll have to wait for the DNA test results and for the judge to formally make his recommendations.  Right, says Bigote, but the suit is valid!  Ok.  Mariano jumps in and says well until such time as that happens, you’ve have no reason to be here.  Ruben turns to Espe and sneers that if she thinks she’s getting her way over this--.  Hernan The Galan jumps in to defend Espe.  “--Don’t threaten my wife!”  Rubigote’s mustache undulates as he snickers.  “--Je, je, righhhht.  Your wife!”  Espe looks at Ruben with one dead serious stare.  “--Yes, Ruben!  His wife!  Hernan and I just got married.”  El Bigote is back-step-and-blink-twice-impactado.   Teresa is grinning from ear to ear.  What. A. Show!

Back in the Vecindad: Aeeeda at first doesn’t get why Odiana took on Buttberto for her driver.  Little by little, explains La Orca, without his realizing it we’re going to know all about Teresa’s life here.  The light goes off in Aeeeda’s head.  “Ah!  Information is power!” and yes, she’s going to milk him for all he’s worth!  Then she’s going to enjoy seeing the look on that goldigger’s face when she has no way to defend her actions in front of Arturo!  Whatever Oriana knows about Teresa must be pretty good, then.  Oh, yes indeedy! What I have on her will have Arturo not only kicking her out of his house, but out of his life entirely!   The two harpies share a conspiratorial snicker or two.

Back at the “festivities” Art is forced to push Ruben out the door.  Don’t think you’ve heard the last of him!  He’s not giving up his right to see his son!  Espe turns to Tere and asks if he really could take him away from her.   Tere says no way.  The most he can do is force visitation rights on her.  So now, lets baptize the little one and not let him ruin things today!  They leave and Johnny has a fit.  He wants to smash the guy’s face in.  Mariano tells him violence isn’t the answer.  (Guess that’s to show us how Mariano’s matured and mastered control over his emotions.)  “--He might be a lawyer, but the law is on the mother’s side in this.  So let’s enjoy the celebration already!”

Aurora listens to Mariano kvetch that he can’t be Rodrigo’s godfather since Tere’s his godmother.   Aurora says she admires his loyalty to Teresa, but at times she can’t understand it.  Viewerville supposes from the look on his face that he can’t either.

Tere and Art discuss her rehabilitation exercises and he’s going to help coach her.  She also gets a personal PT aide to come in daily.  Then once she’s back to normal she’ll help at the office and they won’t need to get rid of the office.  (I’m not sure I caught that correctly.)

Espe is packing her things with Juana.  She’ll send her mother word of the baby and that he’s doing fine.  (How about word of the marriage?) Yes, she’ll continuing nursing.  She’s getting out of the hospital to start her life with Hernan.  Juana leaves them.  Hernan says he's going to let her redo the house any way she wants it.  Only the three of them together matters to her.  They smooch.  FF>>

Refu and Armando discuss the test that Life’s putting Tere through now.  Here she was part owner of a law firm and now she’s got to sell it.  The staff is really down and out about that, too he says.  Well, he’s sure Tere will come out of this just fine.  They agree that once she’s got something in mind that nobody and nothing will stop her or keep her from it.

Time passes.  Hernan and Espe set up house and go shopping for the nursery.  Teresa continues to work hard at getting her mobility back.

Mariano and Aurora work on their projects together and Marty brings pizza.  (Who says three’s a crowd?)

One fine day, Buttberto arrives with Oriana in her limo.  Oriana primes the pump by asking him if Teresa’s the reason for his rotten luck with Juana.  Oh! She’s got my Juanita terrorized!  Juanita doesn’t love Dr. Big-Belly!  She just enjoys the fancy places he takes her and the things he gives her.  (Again, it’s hard understanding small-town vecindad speak, so I think this is what he’s talking about.)  With the savings from this driver’s job he’ll be able show her he can give her some nice things too.  “--Well, where does Teresa enter into all of this?”  Oh, they were doing just fine as a couple till Teresa, the greedy, mean, snooty brat taught Juana all her bad habits.  And the way she treats her parents!!  You wouldn’t believe it if I told you!" "--Not at all!"  La Orca-iana is all ears--and they’re big, long furry wolf ears, too.  She has some time still.  Tell her!  Go ahead!  And Big-Mouth Buttberto unloads.

More time passes and the pediatric wing at the hospital is opened.  Tere is now walking with a cane.  Slowly she’s getting the strength back in her leg muscles.

Unfortunately, Arturo has to go ahead with the sale of the law office.  The staff gives him a standing O.

Martin has gone ahead with his plans for a restaurant in Paris.  He shows Hec, Juana and Aurora a picture of it over lunch one day.  He’ll be calling it “La Bella Aurora.”  He’s going ahead to do some things there, but it will only be for a few days.  Aurora can’t join him till after the wedding because she’s in the middle of taking her finals.

That night, up in their bedroom, Art is massaging Tere’s feet and ankles.  They agree that despite all the financial problems and such, they’ve managed to keep their heads up and come out smelling like a rose.  The discussion turns flirtatious and Art starts kissing Teresa’s legs every few inches to “test” her sense of feel.  They fall back onto the bed and into an impassioned embrace.  Art promises to make sure that every inch of her body is feeling something tonight......... Fade to black.

Excellent recap Jardinera. So Oriana is now poised to drop the bomb on Arturo now that Teresa has regained the mobility of her arms and legs. What she doesn't realize however is that Teresa will get revenge on her once the smoke settles.

Cutberto is such a big mouth. I really don't see what Juana sees in him. He's a gossip, he's had no common sense, and he's plain annoying. I'd stick with Hector.

Ruben needs to go away. Barging in at the civil wedding like he owned the place. I loved the look on his face when Esp and Hernan told him that they are newlyweds.

Fito still sniffing around Teresa for more money. I wonder though will the stolen car idea come back to bite him and Teresa.

In the previews, the crap hits the fan and Arturo explodes. Can't wait.

Jardinera- Muchas gracias for the superb recap amiga.

I was so mad at Cutberto, and not just because he was flapping his gums at Oriana. It was mainly because he keeps spreading the falsehood, far and wide, that Juana is only with Hector for his money. No, you idiot! She's with him because he's kind, intelligent, a gentleman, and emotionally mature. If he calls Hector Dr. Belly one more time...

I actually don't want Art to find out about Ter and Mar getting down and dirty before the wedding and her plan to ditch him at the altar. He has already been through so much, and he's in a really good place with Tere right now. If things fall apart between them, I want it to be about new stuff, like Ter making a play for Fer.

Loved that last scene!

Bien hecho, Jardinera. I was waiting for this one today.

Whoever handles Espe's case against Rubigote needs to know about the harassment and the causal link to the premature birth. Somebody will catch Fito Maldito trying to snatch little Rodrigo and a lot of shit will hit the fan. That will bring Genovenom down with Teresa.

Buttberto needs to be muzzled. Mama Shark needs a leitmotif by now before the feeding frenzy starts.

Finally, since it looks like Arturo is really good at whistling through the wheat fields, Teresa would be an idiot to reject him. But she won't get the chance because he will walk first.

Thank you for your brilliant recap, Jardinera, wonderful as always. You have a knack of balancing snark and reality.
I really cracked up at the Maldito Bandito. Most hospitals would notice that masked man skulking around the halls.
The clash of the Titans, Odiana and Tere, promises to be interesting.
Can't wait for tonight!

Jardinera, Paquita, SharkByte, Kristoise, gracias for last week’s recaps. I couldn’t watch but your recaps were so vivid I feel like I saw everything.

Ah, Cutberto baby, shut your trap. It irks me that the vecindad folks don't even get Oriana's contempt for them. I am so looking forward to her downfall.

Gena and Rubigote's plan is so stupid. Do they really think after all the crap he's done that no one will link Espe's missing baby to him? I'm going to love seeing these two tear each other apart when it hits the fan.

I’ll admit I was hoping for harpy Aeeeeeeeda’s redemption cause she had such potential to put a stake in her pop's heart, but now she’s BSC in her Teresa obsession and Mariano fixation. Drat. I can see her ending this TN in a strait jacket.

How much time was supposed to pass in that video-montage? Teresa had to go all the way from quad to recovery, and baby Rodrigo was still in the incubator. That kid's not gonna fit out the little door.

Howdy! Thanks all! It was a pretty good show last night but tonight may just top it all to heck and back!
==================
Blue Lass: You get the ITSA today! I hadn't thought about that! LOLOL!

Marvelous Jardinera. You consistenly interweave the threads of this storyline perfectly - I hung on every word. My favorites were: "Lu comes over but (unlike hot blooded Fernando) her hands are icy cold" and "That shuts him up for a second or three while he reprograms".

Oriana's distain is palpable and beyond comprehension. Her diss and dismissing Ref was unconscionable. Her unmitigated glee in anticipating Teresa's downfall is however, premature. As you noted, "Now that Art is penniless it will be interesting to see if she’ll bounce from him to somebody else. It’ll be her trial by fire." I think Oriana's words will come back to haunt her - Teresa will attack in Ori's underbelly - her only soft spot, her son. Hmmmm.

Diana

Jardinera a enjoyable recap as always thank you amiga.

Is it just me but i really can't stand Odiosa Oriana who in the world does she think is treating Refugio like that? So i guess that blows up the theory that she and Refugio are related?

Anyway who voted her as the one to expose Teresa. If she is so intelligent she would realize how much she is going to hurt Arturo by doing this. Then Luisa is also going to be collateral damage because this will make Teresa even more determined to go after Fernando.

Wow is this old hag opening up a can of worms and she just doesn't realize yet how much pain she is causing.

Yeah like what hospital is not going to be curious about a guy showing up skulking around the hallways with his face covered up like a bandit?

He not only took Teresa's car keys but some cash she had in her wallet too.

Yeah Ruben you are not dealing with Mayra the gullible anymore. But Geno does fall for your gigolo crap too.

Yeah i want to see Ruben in court trying to get custody of little Rodrigo. I want to hear his explanation on how he threw Espe to the ground and just left her there after arguing with her for being around Hernan. How many times he has man handle her pyhsically and then his final confrontation causing her premature labor and birth. I really want to hear his argument and defending his actions.

The writers really shouldn't have Juana end up with Buttberto i just don't get this buffoon he can't keep his trap shut for one minute. How he can overlook how Odiosa Oriana treated him when she first met him with Johnny this guy has no self respect for himself at all.I'm also turned off by him describing Hector as Dr. big belly.

Hector is a mature sweet loving man and so what he's just big boned and there's just more for some good woman who recognizes what awesome guy he is to love. Too bad Jauna is a idiot too.

Aurora you are pissing me off big time stop with your pity party stop standing on the sidelines and hoping Mariano will recognize you and take the darn bull by the horns. You don't love Martin so call it off now.You mooning after a man who is not your fiance and then drawing a heart with your name and the first three letters of his name. Ugh she is so pissing me off here!!!!!

Mariano what in the world do you want Teresa? If so when she comes around again then tell her so. If not why does it bother you so much about first Aurora accepting Martin's marriage proposal and now her going away to live in Paris with her new husband? Make up your mind who do you want? Stop sending out your mix signals.

Vivi i agree i loved that little ending scene between Teresa and Arturo last night they are in such a good place. It's the quiet before hurricane Orca-iana blows the lid off Teresa's deception before her wedding to Arturo.

Jardinera, wonderful recap, I LOVED your Orca-Oriana fabrications, so clever. Yes, ole Fito the Bandito looked like he was prepared for a Nor’easter in Mexico, DF, not suspicious or anything was it.....

Did anyone else notice that both Mariano and Teresa were in the same room for the civil wedding ceremony and there were no glittering glances, pregnant pulsing pauses .....nada? Hopefully Mariano has crossed the Rubicon with his everlasting crush on Teresa. I think he says as much in the advances. Could I have heard that correctly?

Cutberto has a rascally charm, but I’m in Camp Hector. Cutberto is cooking his goose by providing so much damaging information to Mama Orca. I just can’t imagine Juana overlooking something as serious as STUPIDLY providing the nuggets that bring down her “daughter’s” relationship with Arturo, just as it is really getting off the ground. BTW, in my humble opinion, at this point in the game, Arturo slept with Paloma AFTER the marriage, who cares who Teresa slept with BEFORE the marriage! They have much more important things to deal with like.....total BANKRUPTCY.

Blue Lass: ROTFL!!
Niecie-I agree with you and Ya know, I don't think Rube is quite on the same page with Geno who is kind of losin' her perspective with this idiotic kidnap the baby idea. He seems to want to do it legally-and then only because Geno is insisting on raising the child. If left to his own devices he'd probably be satisfied to visit the kid regularly. Not that anyone here would want even that.

Sandy let's hope that Buttberto is cooking his own goose concerning gossiping about Teresa to the Odious one with Juana.

As for Arturo i agree he did sleep with Pat Pal after he married Teresa but. In his case he had a history of being left at the altar by Pat Pal before it's that incident that has shaped Arturo into the person he has become determine to clear his parents name. Also a man who didn't enter into relationships with the opposite sex so lightly like Ruben has done.

Remember Arturo was sort of like a recluse learning that the woman he finally fell for and opened himself up to love again was like this will be devastating for him. Also don't forget when He was trying to reconcile with Teresa after she called him out on his one night stand with Pat Pal. He said let's be open this for once and for all me finding out about Mariano was your first and not Paulo threw him for a loop and he didn't like the lies she told him either. He asked her then was there anything else she had to tell him concerning her relationship with Mariano or not?

Teresa chose not to disclose this vital and important secret because she was on her power trip. She wanted him to feel guilty for cheating on her with Pat Pal and she wanted him to grovel at her feet. Her telling Arturo about what she did with Mariano at that time would not have suited her purpose then but it really would have hopefully made them closer and what is going on now with The Odious one trying to expose her to Arturo he could say to her oh that i already know about that my wife and i have no secrets from each other.

So he does have a legitimate reason to be enraged because of his history. Doesn't excuse his infidelity either but they have gotten past that but he doesn't know about Teresa one night stand and almost leaving him at the altar before the wedding.

It seems to me that the opening song sung by Gloria Trevi can also not be just for Teresa but several other women of this novela. Like say Odiosa Oriana,Geno and Aeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeda?

Blu, you make a lot of good points as usual, after all it is mostly about the LIE she told, maybe if she had fessed up back then, Oriana wouldn't have this power over their relationship. A lot of time has passed emotionally since the wedding, I think Teresa cares more for Arturo than before, it would be a shame for a long ago past mistake to be their downfall!

On the Gloria Trevi song, yes there certainly more than one mala hembras in Teresa, there are a bunch! Geno might be the worse, kidnapping a baby is pretty bad.

I think the voice behind the song lyrics is either Luisa's or Aurora's. Juana's relationship with Tiburoncita is longer, but has a different base and purpose. Teresa never attempted to steal a man from her.

I think that it's no coincidence that Genovenom gets her closeup at "veneno en los labios".

One wonders what she and Oriana were like when they were Teresa's age.

I downloaded the song and it's sung by Gloria Trevi if you mean that either Aurora or Luisa are singing backup on it i don't know that might be true.

I have to ask is this how a upper crust high society Matron is supposed to comport herself?

Not even the guest at Arturo's wedding to Teresa acted this way towards her mother or father.

What's that old saying you may have a lot of money but it doesn't mean you were born with class. Oriana for someone who supposedly was born from a great lineage to act in the way she has with meeting someone she considers less than herself. Totally classless. Mariano should have done everyone a favor when he first came upon her having her symptoms and just let her keel over from it.

Great recap Jardinera.

I don't have much time but just my 2 cents. Arturo slept with Paloma after the marriage but Teresa slept with Mariano the night before the wedding, that's not easy to forgive either. People have divorced because of that. And Teresa was so harsh about him sleeping with Paloma yet she never once admitted what happened with Mariano, that would infuriate anyone.

Jarocha

The song is being sung from (IMO) LUISA'S perspective. It's a warning from Luisa to whomever:

That woman was my friend,
Cursed/Damn be the day
(she) stole what I loved most,
And all for ambition,
I know that she is pretty,
That even she seem blessed
But it is a fallen angel
She is a curse

Teresa wasn't trying to steal Mariano away from Aurora or Aida for ambition. But we DO know Teresa went after Arturo for ambition and is going after Fernando for ambition. And if she does seduce Fernando, she will have stolen Fernando for pure ambition.

The song is a warning from Luisa.

Good one, UA! "Genoveneno en sus labios..."
