Teresa Fri 8/19/11 #120 Karmageddon continues for Teresa

TERESA FRI 8/19 #120 Karmageddon continues for Teresa

REPRISE: Martin has set Aurora free. She’s impactada.

VECINDAD: Refugio is consoling some old lady, Chonita (never seen her before) who’s on the brink of eviction because she can’t pay the rent. Chonita leaves (are Artie and Teresa gonna take over her apartment in the near future? No puede ser!) Anyhoos, Teresa explains Esperanza invited them over to discuss the party plans to celebrate Rodriguito’s baptism. The talk turns to babies and momsie and popsicle ask when are the Barreras planning to have a baby, since they’re obviously so in lurve! Art and Teresa exchange nervous glances.

AURORA can’t believe Martin doesn’t want to marry her. She assures him she loves him very much. He doubts she does. She uses the term “querer” and he uses the term “amar”. Then he tells her he saw her with Mariano. There’s no use discussing it. No matter how much she tries, he doesn’t believe she’ll ever look at him the way she looked at Mariano nor kiss him the way she kissed Mariano.

CHEZ CHAVEZ: Art and Tere tell her parents they’re not quite ready to have babies now due to their financial situation. It’s going to have to wait. Espe, Hernan, and Juana arrive just then with Rodrigito. Teresa holds the baby as Arturo looks on, somewhat wistfully.

AURORA explains she told Mariano she would never see him again and naturally he could no longer be in their wedding. Martin knows; he overheard them. He knows she’s such a wonderful woman and always wants to do for others even though it may come at a price. He cites several instances such as studying medicine at her father’s insistence, accepting her mother, evil as she is, just to be by her side, and now she was prepared to marry him. He realizes he’s a nice, handsome, millionaire, and above all, humble man. The only downside is that she doesn’t love him. He knows she doesn’t want to hurt him but marriage isn’t like a business venture where a risk can be taken. If there’s a risk, the marriage won’t work. There’s no use in pursuing it. Aurora’s tears are flowing now. Martin knows she feels obligated to marry him and that’s why it’s up to him to break the engagement. If it were up to her, he knows she’d marry him and live the rest of her life living up to her wedding vows. It would be great for him but she wouldn’t be happy and he can’t allow that to happen. She tells him he’s an extraordinary man and he agrees but he doesn’t want to see her suffer. He’s close to tears now and asks her to leave before he changes his mind. She asks for his forgiveness then kisses him tenderly on the forehead before she leaves. He stands to watch her leave and for a micro second I imagine him singing “Oh Mandy, you came and you gave without taking…..”

CHEZ CHAVEZ: Fiesta planning is in full swing now. Espe explains they want something simple and Hernan says he’ll pay for everything. Teresa insists that as padrinos, it’s their responsibility. The talk goes back and forth with Teresa insisting on a grand event while everyone else suggests a garden party at Arturo’s or Hector’s home. Juana breaks an uncomfortable pause by saying Pati/Johnny are waiting for them. As everyone leaves, Arturo pulls Teresa aside, asking her when she’s going to realize they no longer have any money. She realizes he no longer has millions but that doesn’t mean they have to lower their standard of living (nivel de vida). She realizes they can no longer travel and that they’ve had to sell the firm but that was done to maintain their standard of living. Arturo breaks it to her that he wants to get out of debt as quickly as possible and that means by whatever means necessary. Arturo goes on, “What, don’t you agree? As long we’re together, right? This will prove to me that you didn’t marry me for my money, right?” “Of course,“says Teresa, and she’ll prove it to him. He suggests she tell Espe they won’t be able to hand out silver coins at the fiesta as Teresa had suggested. She balks at this but finally agrees when he offers to tell her himself. As she leaves, old lady Chonita returns looking for Refugio. As the accordion plays a woeful tune, Chonita proceeds to tell Arturo her pitiful story about why she must leave the vecindad…..

FERNANDO’S APARTMENT: Orcaina tells Fernando Teresa has been deceiving Arturo all this time. As his friend, it’s up to Fernando to help Arturo open his eyes. Fernando tells her Arturo loves Teresa. That’s obvious to Horroriana since he’s taken her back as though he had not the slightest bit of dignity. She can’t believe it!

VECINDAD: Chonita has taken Arturo down to her shabby apartment and Viewerville has been spared her sorry story. Arturo’s very sorry about what’s happened to her. (I’m convinced he’s gonna make Teresa live there with him as part of his Plan of Vengeance!) The creditors (I’m guessing) came and took everything and left only a few shabby pieces of furniture. The place is a mess. She tells Arturo she doesn’t know what she’s going to do next. Arturo’s situation isn’t the best right now but maybe he can help her.

FERNANDO’S APARTMENT: Oriana wants to know if Arturo said anything to Fer. The code of Hunkasaurus doesn’t allow him to say anything but he does think that in Arturo’s present financial situation, Teresa’s love will be put to the test. Oriana scoffs at the thought of Teresa passing any such test. Fernando of course disagrees and tells her to please butt out of their marriage. Oriana tells him not to worry, she doubts very much Teresa will be sticking around; it’s only a matter of time.

HOSPITAL: Wow, Teresa has the nerve to visit Mariano in his office. He has nothing to say to her and doesn’t want anything to ruin this moment. She’s aware he’s won another award and she’s happy for him. She’s here to ask him something and her life depends on it. She wants to know why his father told Arturo everything that happened between them. He sets her straight. His dad didn’t know anything and Arturo was already well informed when he came to Ramon’s apartment. Teresa guesses maybe Johnny because someone from the vecindad who works as a chauffeur/messenger told Oriana. Mariano can’t think of who it can be but he does tell her he was so worried about what Arturo might do to her that he went looking for her. She’s surprised to hear this and confirms she asked Arturo for forgiveness and another chance. Mariano confesses his idiotic idea to confront Arturo and take Teresa away. Teresa is impactada.

CHEZ CACERES: Aurora visits with Aida and they talk about Teresa and Arturo attempting to patch things up. Aida can’t believe that even now Mariano can’t accept that Teresa will never be his. Aurora agrees he’ll never accept that and that really has nothing to do with Aida. Of course it does, reasons Aida. If that rrrrrrrata isn’t in the middle of things, she has a better chance of being with Mariano. She just can’t figure out how to win him back. She doesn’t want to seem like she’s begging him (too late, sister). Aurora suggests she give it a few days to see if Mariano misses her. Aida refuses, saying she can’t stand being without him. Aurora then tells her she broke up with Martin. Aida turns her screechiness on Aurora! She accuses her of wanting to be with Mariano.

MARIANO’S OFFICE: Teresa’s amazed he went looking for her. He admits he was ready and willing to do anything for her to be with him. Then he realized she’s fallen in love with her husband, or she wouldn’t have asked him for another chance. She claims she did so because she was afraid of what Arturo would do to her, he was that angry. Mariano tells her it’s no use lying, after she’d took the bullet for Arturo he realized, well it doesn’t matter. He’s been a tonto (you can say that again). Then he tells her he figures she’s learned her lesson now that Arturo is penniless and she still wants to be with him. He wishes she had done the same with him. How ironic--if had she stayed with him, they’d be enjoying all his success but as it turns out, she fell in love with Arturo right at the time he lost all his money. She tells him that what they have is so strong, it’ll last a lifetime. She’s wrong, he tells her. Now that their roles are reversed, he can only believe she’s after him for his money. She can’t believe he would say that to her. He tells her they know each other well enough to cut through the b.s. As much as he loves her, he knows she left him for Arturo because of his fortune. He asks, what is she prepared to do now? Demonstrate that she’s learned her lesson and stay by the man she loves, or abandon him for a richer man? Hopefully now she can fight for the man she loves and won’t betray him for money because as she knows now it’s something that comes and goes. BAM! Right between the eyes! Teresa is speechless.

CASA DE LA LOCA: Aida is demanding an answer! Does Aurora love Mariano? Does she want him for herself? Aurora explains she has no plans to go near Mariano and suggests that Aida do the same because Mariano will never stop loving Teresa. Aida tells her to do what she wants but as for herself, she will fight for Mariano.

MARIANO’S OFFICE: Teresa claims to have learned her lesson and will prove it to him. Mariano may think she’s coming around now because of his money but he is very wrong. Truthfully, she’s glad that he came looking for her and that he continues to love her. He repeats what he told her the other day, that sometimes love isn’t enough. They’re just not destined to be together. Her ambition will always be stronger than love. Now that she loves another, he will no longer come looking for her. (let’s remember that next time Arturo tries to kick her out.) He truly wants her to be happy. Adios! He leaves her crying in his office and she says to herself, “Ser ó no ser, yo soy.”

HECTOR’S OFFICE: Aurora comes to visit Daddy and he congratulates her for winning that award. She’s here to tell him of the breakup. He’s very concerned. She tells him Martin caught her kissing Mariano.

ELSEWHERE IN THE HOSPITAL, Teresa is looking for Aurora at the nurse’s station when Aida shows up asking if she’s looking for Mariano yet again. Uh-uh, Teresa explains she’s looking for Aurora and turns to leave. Not so fast, says our little Banshee – don’t play the saint. They both know her only interest in that hospital is Mariano. And everyone now knows the real reason behind Mariano’s scandal at the wedding. Teresa tries to say it was only because he loved her. Aida very loudly corrects her – no, no, it was because you slept with him the day before the wedding! Everyone is watching now. Aida continues her rant, saying she only married Arturo for the money and that she married him a few hours after sleeping with Mariano! Aida is proud of herself and Teresa nervously looks around.

HECTOR’S OFFICE: He’s scolding Aurora for making such a big mistake. He can’t believe she would do such a thing and he blames Mariano as well. Can she imagine what Martin must feel now? She tells him Martin understood what happen after he heard her tell Mariano she would never see him again. Hector feels that’s exactly what she should do: get as far away from Mariano as possible. He’s done enough damage. He reminds her he asked her if she was sure about her feelings for Martin precisely to avoid this situation.

NURSE STATION DRAMA: Teresa admits she slept with Mariano because she has a problem Aida will never have and that is choosing among the men who love her whereas Aida has to go begging for attention from Teresa’s castoffs. OUCH! Aida tells her she prefers being frank, and honest, and NOT A HYPOCRITE!!! She’s shouting now and Espe walks up to shush her, reminding her she’s in a hospital. Ok, we all know this will do no good. Aida starts in on her for coming to the rescue of her friend saying they’re one and the same, looking for someone who will take them out of the vecindad! Mariano comes running, “¡Basta Aida!” She defends herself saying she only speaks the truth, shouting that his friend here couldn’t get her father to marry her so she found someone else to bring her out of her poverty. And as for Teresa……..Mariano sternly reminds her she’s in his workplace and not to start an escándolo! Aida tells him he can stay with Teresa if he’s going to defend her. She finally leaves. Teresa thanks him for coming to her rescue. Mariano angrily says Aida has no right to come here and shout at anyone but she was right about what she said about them. Teresa starts to tell him she doesn’t regret what happened between them that day when Juana comes by wondering what all the fuss is about. Teresa tells her Mariano was defending her from Aida. Juana coldly tells Mariano that Teresa can take care of herself and considering the circumstances between her and her husband, Mariano should just stay away. She drags Teresa away. Espe suggests Mariano reconsider making up with Aida now that Teresa is back with her husband.

CASA BARRERA: Luisa has noticed a change in Arturo. Arturo ignores this and tells her he’s decided he and Teresa should live within their means and will be leaving this house. Ruh-roh! Luisa objects, telling him Fernando is willing to help. Arturo refuses to hear this and suggests maybe she and Fer should live there and if Fernando agrees, Arturo will pay rent to use the house as his office space.

MARIANO’S OFFICE: Hector’s waiting for Mariano and tells him he’s not there as Hector the Director. He’s there as Aurora’s father! He can’t believe Mariano kissed her knowing she was engaged! Basta! Hector blabs a little too much and tells him Aurora’s been pining for him for years now and even went to France in the hopes of forgetting him. This is all news to Mariano. Hector continues, saying she was going to marry another because he never noticed her. Hector doesn’t care why Mariano never noticed her. All he knows is that she was going to marry a good man who loved and adored her. Now, because of Mariano, he’s called off the wedding! As Aurora’s father, he warns him to stay away from his daughter. As Director of the hospital, nothing will change between them; however, in terms of their personal life, he can forget about him and his daughter. Mariano apologizes profusely and says he’ll talk to Aurora. “What for?” asks Hector. “To build up her hopes like you’ve done with Aida?” Ooohh! He sees now that Arturo was right about Mariano. He thinks Mariano’s love for Teresa will be his undoing (perdición). Mariano is muy impactado.

FERNANDO’S APARTMENT: Luisa’s upset about everything that’s happening because of the Arturo/Teresa scandal and knows how much Oriana hates scandals. She also feels everyone will be talking about them. Fernando doesn’t care and this won’t make him change his mind. His mother has no reason to butt in and change the wedding date. He wonders if Luisa wants to listen to Oriana. Luisa understands it’s still difficult for him to think of marriage and she doesn’t want him to feel pressured.

HECTOR’S OFFICE: Hector tells Juana that what Mariano did to Aurora isn’t right. They both agree she should have been honest with Martin about her doubts. Hector thinks aloud about how sad he is to learn that she may have never really loved Martin. It’s as though she had been deceiving him all along. He wonders if Juana has any idea what Martin must be going through. Juana can only stammer about how one can be confused about love. Hector disagrees saying one always knows who their true love is. Oh, Juana has a such a guilty look on her face.

ELSEWHERE IN THE HOSPITAL: Mariano approaches Aurora and tells her he’s aware she broke up with Martin because of him. Aurora explains they broke up because she didn’t love him enough to marry him. She admits he saw them smooching and regrets the pain this has caused him. Mariano tries to explain and she shoots him down, saying the world doesn’t revolve around him. The problems between her and Martin are theirs alone and have nothing to do with him! She reminds him she no longer wants anything to do with him. She’s just as good as erased him from her life. Dejame en paz! Wow! Mariano will have no one to talk to pretty soon.

BEDTIME AT THE BARRERAS: Arturo’s ready for bed and thank goodness only has on pajama bottoms. Arturo tells Teresa they’re leaving this house. They’ll only use the library as office space. Fernando didn’t ask for the house, but the maintenance is too expensive. They’d have to give it over to Fernando and Luisa sooner or later anyway. He gets into bed and she notices he still doubts her. She assures him again that she loves him. They start making love.

MARIANO seeks advice from Hernan, telling him when he thought of dating Aurora, she was already seeing Martin. Besides, there’s always the issue of Teresa. He just can’t forget her. Hernan suggests then that he not mess with Aurora. She’s a great woman and very sensitive. Mariano knows that and he cares for her very much. That’s not what Hernan is talking about. Aurora has loved him for a very long time. He now tells him it was Aurora, and not Hernan, who gave him his stethoscope and blood-pressure-taking-gizmo (sorry, can’t think of the correct name) all those years ago.

CASA BARRERAS: Teresa is now asleep as Arturo thoughtbubbles. He can’t resist her. He wants to hate her but he can’t. Why can’t he stop loving her even though he knows she only married him for his money. He’s so sad.

HOSPITAL: The award presentation is almost under way and Mariano is concerned that Aurora hasn’t arrived. Juana asks Mariano what is it that he wants. Does he want to talk to Aurora about her breakup, thanks to him? Es el colmo that one day he’s with Aida and the next he’s bothering Teresa. Doesn’t he realize Teresa and Aurora are besties and they’re both like daughters to her? Mariano asks her to butt out. She starts to respond when Ramon walks up to congratulate his son. He joyfully asks Juana what she thinks of his son, of whom he’s so proud. She agrees--as a doctor, he’s the best. She excuses herself and her comment is not lost on Ramon. Ramon notices Mariano seems nervous. Just then Aurora walks up and warmly greets Ramon but barely says hello to Mariano. Then Hector steps by to say hi and moves on. Mariano admits they’re both angry with him. Ramon tells his son all the prizes in the world mean nothing without someone to share them with. The awards presentation begins.

CASA BARRERAS: Arturo’s on his way out and Teresa asks him if he’s sure they can’t stay in this house. He reminds her what he said last night and that she needs to support him. He leaves and she rolls her eyes. As soon as he’s out the door she calls Fernando, urging him to meet with her.

BACK AT THE AWARDS PRESENTATION, Arturo and Aurora have been given their awards. Aurora takes the mic and says she’s very proud to be a recipient but announces that due to personal reasons, she will not participate in the project. Everyone is stunned, including Hector.

TERESA MEETS WITH FERNANDO, complaining about having to move and asks Fernando not to allow this to happen. She’s not worried for herself but for Arturo. Think of his reputation and the gossip! She also thinks it will be bad for Fernando and Luisa if people start to talk. She’s sure his mother won’t like it. Fernando tells her Oriana’s already talked to them about it and even wants them to push up the date for the wedding. They haven’t decided but it doesn’t matter to him if he marries within 15 days or 2 months. He just doesn’t like giving in to his mother cuz then she gets carried away. As for the house, Arturo has made up his mind but he does agree to talk to him again to see if he changes his mind. They hold hands and he looks into those little Sharky eyes of hers.

BACK AT THE AWARDS PRESENTATION: Mariano rushes after Aurora, telling her he knows she’s giving up the project because of him. He feels he should be the one to step back. She reminds him a Doctor should head up the project and she’s not a doctor yet. She doesn’t want him to step aside. She only wants him to understand she no longer wants any connection (nexo) to him, not even work related. He tells her again he never meant to hurt her. She doesn’t think it’s all his fault. She should have expressed her feelings a long time ago before he started seeing Aida and when he was first disappointed by Teresa. But now Aida will do anything to win him back and Teresa---she doesn’t really believe she’ll stick with Arturo now that he doesn’t have any money. It was probably for the best that she didn’t marry Martin, it wouldn’t have been fair to him. She’s not going to be like Aida, she is definitely going to stay away.

CASA BARRERA: Juana is visiting with Teresa as she works. She fills her in on the award Aurora and Mariano received along with prize money totaling 1.5 million pesos! Teresa is bugged eyed! Juana also tells her Aurora broke up with Martin. Arturo interrupts before Juana can give her the deets on the breakup. He tells her they’re moving tomorrow, the sooner the better. Fernando called him earlier to try and change his mind but he refused. He asks if Juana would like to move with them but she says she’ll just go back to her own apartment. Teresa excitedly asks him where they’re moving. He tells her she’ll find out tomorrow.

MOVING DAY! Teresa tells Juana she’s exited to find out where they’ll live. She expects they’ll move into a house. But if it’s an apartment, the least she’ll accept is a penthouse like Fernando’s. Juana’s sure Arturo picked out something she’s sure to like. Arturo comes in and reminds her that he wants to stop by her parents before they go to their new digs. Eeeek! He so smoooooth.

MARTIN is at his restaurant and Mariano comes by asking to speak to him.

VECINDAD!!!!!! The Barreras are visiting with her parents. Arturo is explaining he promised Teresa a good life but unfortunately his luck turned. Armando acknowledges it was because of those papers he lost during the mugging. Arturo sees no use in talking about that now. He hopes that within a few months his financial situation will improve. For now, he decided to pay off his debts in full instead of installments. Refugio thinks that’s a great idea. (She’s never been one to be in debt). Arturo tells them he was only able to pay off a portion of the debt due to his present economic state. Teresa tells them they’re moving to a “smaller” house. Refugio tells her that doesn’t matter. Arturo tells Refugio that’s the same thing Teresa said because she’s ready to follow him anywhere. They share a tender kiss. Refugio asks where they’ll live. Arturo stays mum and Teresa admits he’s keeping it a surprise. Then Arturo drops the bomb!!! He wanted to talk with Refugio and Armando because they will be their new vecinos!!!!!! DUN-DUN-DUHN!!!!! Teresa looks like a caged animal (or a shark in a small tank). Yes, Teresa, they’re going to live in Chonita’s old apartment! Teresa begins to hyperventilate and stands up, shouting at him, asking him if he’s asking her to live in this vecindad!?! Well, at least she didn’t say “mugrosa” vecindad. Teresa has improved. Tee-hee!

This is a masterpiece, Paquita, bien hecho!!! You have got to be a writer in your other life, too. Excellent. Delicious reading.

Loved, re: Martin “I imagine him singing ‘Oh Mandy, you came and you gave without taking.” So funny. “Looks like we made it” would have done, too. In fact most of Barry Manilo's songs would have fit, they are all sad except Copacabana. Wait, that one is sad, too, in it’s own way.)

I thought it was funny when Martin said, I am handsome, nice, rich, and above all (rolling his eyes with a little smile), humble.

I so love the way the story is going. Art's decision is brilliant, a way to find out what is really in Tere's heart!
All Tere would have to do would be smile, buck up, and bear poverty for a little while and prove to Art she loves him, money or no. But we all know that she doesn't see her last chance here, she is already running to Fer.

Another option for her would be to now leave Art and go with Mariano, but Mariano would wonder if it was Art's present circumstance and not her love for Mar causing her to make the choice.

Tere's maxim will have to change. Pretty soon it will be, “Ser o no ser, soy yo solo.”

I agree with Emarie. Great write up Paquita, you're so great! I liked your "shark in a small tank" description of Teresa; that was perfect.

Paquita - In your recap you said "The code of Hunkasaurus doesn’t allow him to say anything..." I didn't know what this “code of Hunkasaurus” was, so I had to look it up:

From the Cro-Magnon / Neanderthal’s Desk Reference: Man-Speak Dictionary and Thesaurus:

“Hunk-a-saur-us Code” – a knock-off of the Bro Code put out by the Man Law Committee to fake-out chicks into believing they had actually found a copy of the Bro Code. Ha! As if!! If you hear a chick talking about it, just be cool and pretend it’s legit. Just in case she did stumble upon the actual Bro Code, report the matter to the MLC so the chick can be brain-wiped. Don’t be surprised if the chick “disappears” for a while. And don’t forget to drink some beer, burp, watch sports, and say inappropriate things, so as not to arouse any suspicions (and because it’s fun).

Well Paquita, I guess you really have found the “Hunks” version of the Bro Code. I guess it’s out in the open now. Oh well. Hey, let me know if you need me to fill in for you, you know, just in case you suddenly find yourself in a foreign country with gaps in your memory or something. Well, I guess I'm gonna go have some beer, watch some ESPN, burp and say inappropriate things. You know, just ordinary guy stuff; nothing unusual going on here...

I understand Arturo being mad about what Teresa did with Mariano before their wedding, but she doesn't seem to be getting much credit for how she felt about him post-Europe. She took two bullets for him and risked being paralyzed to save him, yet that doesn't seem to count for much these days. I'm surprised she isn't bringing that up every chance she gets. I guess there are only so many episodes left and they need to move on with the story.

Moving Teresa out to the vecindad is perfection! I was laughing so hard when Teresa started hyperventilating.

I can't believe Aurora is "going away for good" (me alejo definitivamente). Mariano’s been looking like a sad puppy dog every time Aurora walks away from him or doesn't give him attention. He should either just tell her he's interested, or he should be a man and act like he doesn’t give a flip that she's going away. I've found that approach actually works with some women. Of course Aurora is so friggin' hot I'd probably be on the floor grabbing her leg (like Teresa did to Arturo) begging her to stay!

I kept hoping those two would end up together, but there always seems to be something or someone preventing it. With Hector mucho angry at him and Aurora even stepping down from her big project (for which she won an award) just to avoid him, I think his chances are over; it's never going to happen.

At this point, I wonder if Mariano will end up with anyone. Aida is too screechy and he’s tired of her. Teresa is a psycho chick. Aurora split. Esperanza is married. Luisa is engaged and Arturo would kill him for sure if he touched her. Magda apparently doesn’t churn his butter.

Maybe Mariano should give Chonita a call! :^)

BWA HA HAA! Now all Arturo needs to do is get a job as a taxi driver and wash his taxi outside of the vecindad! LOL

Oriana, you told the truth to Arturo, he's choosing to stay with Teresa. Instead of playing runteldat to Arturo, you need to be playing runteldat to Fernando.

Hernan should file restraining orders against Ruben and Aida from coming to the hospital. There is no need for either to be there and Aida in particular keeps coming into the place screaming and yelling. She needs to be banned from the hospital. Why she wasn't after shaking down Esperanza, I have no idea.

Arturo's doing the same thing I've done to suspected users: let 'em know you ain't got nothing and see how long they stick around. Users don't stick around long, and I suspect Teresa will soon be saying bye-bye to Arturo and moving on for realz with Fernando. Sorry, Luisa.

Martin needs to stick around and pick up the pieces for Luisa.

Everyone wants to place the blame on Mariano for Aurora's unhappiness but that falls 99.44% on Aurora:

Nobody told her to leave Mexico for France when she couldn't get over her unrequited CRUSH on Mariano. They were not in a relationship.

Nobody told her to sleep with Martin and lead him to believe their relationship was more serious for her than it was.

Nobody told her to pine away for Mariano after seeing him go from Teresa to Aida.

Nobody told her to accept Martin's proposal of marriage.

Nobody told her to work in close proximity to Mariano at the hospital.

All of Aurora's pain and suffering was caused by...Aurora. Not Mariano.

Where Mariano IS at fault is in kissing Aurora, knowing how she feels/felt about him...not less than 24 hours after playing Captain Save-A-Ho trying to take Teresa away from Arturo.

Aida, girl, Mariano is not coming back to you. Maybe for some quick sex but even then, I don't think so. It's not that he doesn't like drama; he does (i.e. Teresa). It's not that he doesn't like you disrespecting the vecindad & the vecindad folks, he can overlook that (i.e. Teresa).

It's that you are pathetic, insecure and clingy. You're like the new PatPal. Who is Mariano planting his lips on now? It's a girl who's first name starts with an A and ends with an A but who ain't you. Your mom and even Aurora have both told you to stop charging after Mariano, let him come to you (I don't think Mayra liked the way Aida clung to Paulo either). But you won't listen and you will get burned.

Wonderful, Paquita...simply wonderful. Just smiled at all of those shark references.

Teresa is a phony.

I have never understood her 'plan' of marrying Art and holding on to him until Mariano rose to greater financial heights. She is so callous, cold, and calculating that it is sometimes sickening to watch. That little 'ser o no ser' business is getting old, too. Give it a break, Teresa.

Art is giving it back to her and then some.

When will La Odiosa get hers and what will Juana's reaction be when she finds out it was Buttberto who pushed the first domino?

Anon207: I am in TOTAL...absolutely TOTAL agreement with you on every statement you have made re Aurora! Excellent!

Gracias for a totally fab recap, Paquita!!!

Susanita

P.S. I found it interesting that Refusio has not yet caught on to Art's body language. I realise that Luisa can read him like a book, but the change in Art is painfully obvious. Oh Sebastian...you are simply super in this role!!!

Re: "Captain Save-A-Ho"

That was frackin' funny! I nearly fell over when I read that. I may have to make you an honorary Bro-heim for that one.

Excellent work, Paquita! I'm back and forth at an event this weekend but I had to read this as soon as I caught up to the episode on DVR this morning.

Teresa's reaction to moving back into the working class neighborhood was totally expected by us. I was laughing my sorry behind off at that. Maybe Refusio will finally begin calling Arturo by name as Teresa's worst pesadilla comes true.

He's got all the proof he needs now that Teresa always cared more about his a$$et$ than his assets...

Somebody should have the last laugh in the finale by saying to Tiburoncita Ser o no ser y tu eres... nadie!

I think Teresa will emote mucho about being back in the hood, but just like she ALWAYS does, she will buckle down and work hard to achieve what she wants.

She won't leave Arturo. She will toy with Fernando because she needs a backup plan. That's the kind of organized, prepared kind of girl she is. She doesn't plan to use it except in extreme emergency. She plans to stick with Arturo. Her time in the vecinidad will be good for a few chuckles, but it's nothing our girl can't really handle.

What a perfect Friday night ending with Teresa back at the vecindad. I just loved how she went all bug eyed, no puede ser, I don't wanna be here. Did it look like the bed they just did the dirty in was in Chonita's apartment? Where did Chonita go? To the big house? Did Art put Chonita up in a penthouse?

Frances, fabulous recap with super-funny " Mandy" reference among others. Thanks so much.

Can you imagine how terrible it is for poor Dario and Magda, who seem like normal, stable folks, to work constantly with mopey, whiny, drama magnets Aurora and Mariano punctuated with occasional hysterical outbursts from Aeeeeda? How do they stand their workplace! Now the Department Director is barely speaking to one of the star doctors for personal reasons!

Paquita you did this episode justice with awesome recap thank you.

I would like to thank all of the recappers who work on Teresa and CME and Fuerza which is starting to now get good. Great work everyone and thank you.

Anon207 ita with what you said about both Aurora and Aeeeeeeeeeda. Aurora is obsessed with Mariano which is causing her own pain.

When i saw the new little old lady i was asking myself why are we being introduced to her but when she started her story of woe.I;m thinking to myself oh boy is Arturo thinking what i'm thinking surely he go this far? But what better way to test Teresa being sincere and genuine.

Teresa eyes bulging out when she found out where they are moving to priceless. But the key to me in that scene was watching Arturo watching her reaction. Oh Boy Monday is going to be a doozy.

Odiosa Oriana telling Fernando to talk to Arturo into dumping Teresa. What a big idiot this woman is.Doesn't she realize the more she acts like this the more she is pushing Fernando into betraying Luisa and dumping her for Teresa. Teresa has already vowed revenge on her by going after her son.

So Teresa let's Mariano know it was Oriana who told Arturo about their one night stand before her wedding. He's smart enough to realize Aeeeeeeeeeda's part in this.

It's scary how this harpy is the female version of her own father. She can't figure out how to win Mariano back? Yes i do believe all men love a screechy psycho harpy going to their job and yelling at one of their ex-boyfriends former girlfriend to stay away from him and that he slept with her. Yes i'm sure all guys want a woman just like that. Now unless you make yourself into a carbon copy of Aurora this ain't happening harpy.

She doesn't want to seem like she is begging? Excuse me when did this sane thought venture into your insanity? Get it out now it seems to logical and and something that someone who has a little bit of self esteem would think.

Aeeeeeeeeeeeda i will fight for Mariano by all means do so but as you can see with your pappy who is Espe with nowadays and married to at that?

Finally i really wanted Mariano to see the true nature of Aeeeeeeeeeeeda in her full bullying and rant mode with Teresa. Defending that please get a grip Mariano because she not only wasn't just telling Teresa's business for all to hear but yours as well. Remember you have donors who visit the hospital wanting to make donations who wants to hear a screaming out of control psycho going off like that because your ex girlfriend happens to be at the same hospital?

Exactly when is Hector the Director going to banned both father and daughter from entering that hospital unless they are in dire need of medical care?

Teresa's comeback to the harpy scoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Teresa admits to sleeping with Mariano but she has a problem that Aeeeeeeeeeeeda will never have and that is choosing among the men who love her.Whereas Aeeeeeeeeeeda has to go begging for attention from Teresa's castoffs!!!!!!Yeah that sounds accurate to me.

Teresa will not leave Arturo.
It now is a question of pride. She is not going to let Oraina or Aida be proven correct in their assumption of her arribista-ness.
As far as Fernando, she is using him to get back at Oriana. She is using him as an ally. She needs him to run interference between her and Art. She has specifically met him in public places so no talk can be started. It also keeps him from making a move on her (which she probably couldn't resist). And prevents Luisa from "walking in on" anything.
She will get back at Oriana by having Luisa be the one to break up with Fern. Luisa displayed doubts in the cap.

The avances show Teresa in the vecindad bedroom with their bed and books and foot of Art on the dresser. Looks like Art had everything painted and cleaned and moved in one day. Teresa will move there with him, she has no options right now.

Mariano has plainly told her to not do to Art what she did to him. Move from on to the other because of lack of money. He does not want her anyway, he sees what she did. He still is obsessed with her, but he doesn't want her.
Mar looked so sad when he realized all his women options are gone. He screwed up everyone of them, mainly Aurora.
But to be fair, Mar never knew the extent of Aurora's love for him. She never told him. Now he is all impactado.

I'm loving Art's "tests". What else is he going to come up with? But I don't like the mean guy he turned into. Maybe the meaness will go away after Teresa passes some of
these tests.
I still think Art will make her crazy jealous somehow. And to get her jealous, she will have to stick around. Jealousy is the only way Art can make Teresa "hurt as much as he's hurting right now" which is what he told Fern. So I don't
think Ter is going to leave Arturo.

Teresa is tough. She will do what it takes to stay with Arturo. What is bothering me right now is the TeddyBear jewel carrier. That has to come back to bite her in the butt somehow.

Diann

OOPS--- FOTO of Art on the dresser! Darn autocorrect!

Jajajaja Diann

Cha Ching...finally getting to see the oats that she has sowed. Thank you for the recap.

Paquita, so funny as always especially the Barry Manolow reference. And the commenters have me howling as well.

I was surprised the editors didn't delete Teresa's wandering hand when she was trying to seduce Art when he initially refused to make love to her.

Me thinks Hector the Director should butt out of Aurora's love life....he's too involved. His message was true and maybe soon he'll be at the receiving end like Martin. Oh, the sad irony and even more so if Juana chooses Buttberto.

Ha ha, Chonita's digs is a single room with not even a living room. Hope it has a bathroom and a kitchen. But then Tere never cooks.

GinCA

Awesome recap Frances. Arturo's plan to test Teresa is to move back to the vecindad she worked so hard to escape. The look on Teresa's face was funny. Did you notice how both Armando and Refugio smiled at the news LOL.

I think Teresa is going to prove to Arturo that she did marry him only for his money by her reaction.

I loved this line, "He stands to watch her leave and for a micro second I imagine him singing, “Oh Mandy, you came and you gave without taking….." I could see Martin belting out that Barry Manilo tune when Aurora walked away.

I guess Arturo didn't have any problems making love with Teresa this time. I heard a break in the music. Seems Uni did some chopping in that scene.

Now Mariano is finding out that Aurora has had it bad for him for years but she's fed up with everything and wants nothing more to do with him. Will this finally be his wake up call to forget his obsession with Teresa?

Aida sure did cause a scene at the hospital when she loudly confronted Teresa. Now everyone knows about the tryst the night before the wedding.

Looking forward to seeing how Arturo's plan pans out.

Who was the wise commenter who predicted Art moving to the vencidad a few recaps agp? Congratulations to you and Paquita. Art's move caught me by surprise even though Chonita came out of nowhere.

GinCA

"I was surprised the editors didn't delete Teresa's wandering hand when she was trying to seduce Art when he initially refused to make love to her." I noticed that too GinCA. Teresa wasn't subtle was she.

I thought the "wandering hand" was a perfect touch for this scene.

Yes, pun intended.

Diann

Diann: ITA that Mariano Teddy Bear will come back to haunt Teresa.

...and...there is still the matter of Maldito Fito holding on to the first engagement ring that Teresa supposedly lost. Surely that ring is going to resurface again.

In the state that Arturo is in now, that ring resurfacing could be the last straw.

That brain of Art's is working over time. He has more up his sleeve, but he can only go so far as he still has his own reputation to consider.

For a minute, I did see him borrowing Ramon's taxi just to rub salt in the wound, but that might be too much.

Arturo is one very angry man. He is only just beginning.

I also found it very telling that now TWO MEN have told Mariano that his obsession with Teresa is a sickness. Men don't use those words unless they really mean it. Coming from Aida, I don't think it would have made an impression upon Mariano...but from his own father and Hector the Director spoke volumes.

Susanita

Came back from last back to college trip tired and needing to sit and relax. And what did I find, this wonderful, funny recap. Perfect afternoon break!!

I second, third and fourth so many of comments about the great ending. Does seem a bit extreme, but frankly where emotions are concerned, Arturo is a man of extremes. After her reaction, I don't think she can feign beiong okay with the move, and if I were Fer I'd be barracading the door. The Sharkette will be looking for a new bankroller.

Bugs me she doesn't take that degree and just start making her own cash - why she feels her wealth has to come from a man - so 1950's.

So as all our relationships head to shambles, I say lets' REALLLYY have a different kind of TN ending None of our tormented lovers, including Juana and her crew, winds up with anyone!

daisynjay: Now that WOULD be a novel ending for this novela. I rather like it. :))

Susanita

Frances what a wonderful recap! I was also excited to see Teresa's reaction at being informed that she was going back to the vecindad.

Aída is such a banshee, she has no clue she is a complete turn off not only for me but also to anyone who's around her. Who would gladly hear her screams?

Mariano is not guilty for what's going on with Martín and Aurora but I don't think that's what everybody is blaming him for. I think Héctor and Juana are just worried about him messing with Aurora's head, after all, he's been obsessed with Teresa for years and look at how his relationship with Aída ended up (although that was partly her fault). Aurora tried to be alone and she tried to be with someone else and both options didn't work to forget him and stop suffering because of her feelings, now she is simply trying to get away from him.

Jarocha

daisinjay: In 1996 the "Teresa" producer, Jose Alberto Castro, made a novela called "Pueblo Chico, Infierno Grande".

It had a love cuadrangle of sorts with its main characteres. The story was set in a small town in the 1920's and the lead was an older rich widow (Verónica Castro) who falls in love with a poor younger man (Juan Soler) but the era made their love too complicated, especially when her niece (Karyme Lozano) fell in love with him aswell. He also had become an obsession to the main antagonist, a prostitute who owned the brothel of the town (Alma Delfina).

In the end, Juan Soler believing he had no chance with the love of his life accepts to marry Karyme Lozano, who was dying of some chronicle sickness. Verónica Castro finds out she's pregnant when she previously thought she was barren and she decides to stop the wedding. Alma Delfina committs suicide by cutting her veins and her loyal bodyguard/servant swears to avenge her. Karyme Lozano gets sick and dies before leaving her house so Juan Soler leaves the Church to see why he is being stood up and in the road he finds the servant who stabs him and lets him bleeding on the street. Verónica Castro finds him agonizing and tells him she is pregnant with his child, he tells her he is glad and he loves her too. Then he dies. THE END.

The novela also had another love story about first cousins who weren't allowed to be together by their parents. He is sent to the military and dies in the Cristera war and she spents all her time at his grave even escaping at nights to be there, she eventually gets sick from being there in the night during the rain and ends up dying too.

I like to call it "Pueblo Chico, Masacre en Grande". But yeah, that's one novela where nobody got a happy ending. At all.

Jarocha

By the way, I used the names of the actors because I couldn't remember all the names of the characteres. Juan Soler is alive, he is doing Cuando Me Enamoro. Karyme Lozano is alive too, she found God or something.

Jarocha

Correction, it wasn't the Cristera war yet. It was the first movements of what will end up being the Cristera. At the end, the people are murmuring about the conflict being about to start.

Jarocha

Ah Frances, I could see just how much you enjoyed this capitulo from your wonderful recap.

I loved that ending! Art is brilliant. I was smiling for a long time after that final scene.

I still don't think Art will resort to antyhing like trying to make Teresa jealous. His aim is not to get back at her tit for tat, but to test her. He is using guilt as his weapon, not jealousy. Teresa will lose face and respect BIG time if she leaves him now. She has to prove everyone wrong.

I was worried that Art was becoming mean and hard too, but three things in yesterday's episode lessened my fears. 1) When he made love to Teresa and admitted to her sleeping figure that he can't stop loving her. 2) When he melted a bit at seeing Teresa hold the baby, and then held the baby himself. 3) When he showed such sympathy for Chonita's situation. I am sure he paid her enough to pay off her debt on her rent (he's broke but likely has enough to help out someone in the vecinidad). And he's probably paying the rent directly to her at a rate higher than the actual cost, meaning she can make some money. That's the way I envisioned a win-win for her and Art. I'm sure he worked something out that was beneficial to her, and that's a good thing. It's also really smart to just pay off all his debts as soon as possible by cutting all his expenses WAY back. As he said, that will likely mean they can build back their wealth sooner and can be out of the vecinidad in a few months.

Will Teresa pass the test?

Jarocha- I hope that this tn doesn't end like that! Please give us a few happy endings. Actually, even if the kidnapping thing happens, I am sure Espe and Hernan will have a happily ever after. So there's one at least. And Johnny and Patty. Everyone else is up in the air.

Juana needs to come clean to Hector. He gave her a perfect opportunity. He has given her many chances to get out of the relationship with him and choose Cutberto, if that's what she wants. I don't know why she would want that doofus, but so be it.

I agree that Mariano didn't cause Aurora's pain, but she said that too. She got just as much of a tongue lashing from Hector as Mariano did. He said all the things to her we have been saying, so I don't think she got off easy while Mariano got all the blame. But everyone knows Mariano's track record, and so they are warning him off playing with Aurora's feelings if he's going to be wishy washy and non-commital about it, like he was with Aida. He has done NOTHING to make them believe he wouldn't have the same Teresa issues if he started something up with Aurora. He, like Teresa, has to prove himself. I think it's good if he's the one pursuing Aurora and showing himself to be worthy, instead of her throwing herself at him (like Aida). He now knows how she feels about him, and what she thinks about his feelings for Teresa (that they will never change). He has to prove her, and everyone else, wrong.

Wowsers, Jarocha. That was one depressing sounding TN. :((

Susanita

Susanita: it was a depressing finale but it made sense for the various plots and the time period it was set. I loved the novela though, every character was special. Juan Soler was divine, so sweet and adorably boyish in that role. An idealist thinking that love could triumph over age and class. The first scene of the novela was the birth of his character and the last was of his death. That was great.

Vivi: I agree on Aurora, I don't think she is getting an easy out here either. What Juana was concerned about was the kiss and Mariano's intentions towards her, that's the same thing Héctor is worried about, especially since he saw how Mariano acted when Teresa was in the hospital. He didn't talk about Aurora's trip to Paris because he was blaming Mariano for that, he was explaining the depth of her feelings and how long she had been in love with Mariano so he would understand how deeply she could be hurt if he tried something with her while still being obsessed with Teresa. Many people in Mariano's life care about Aurora, while nobody cared about Aída, it's just natural that they are all worried about her ending up hurt too.

Jarocha

I can't wait to see what our Professor Hottie final exam will be for Teresa! This TN is just picking up steam and lovin every minute of it and of course Sebastion Rulli is fierce, sexy and yummy!

Oh my, Jarocha, that TN sounds so sad, but I bet it was done right and made the viewer shed some major tears. Personally, I hate the little white bow endings where pairings are forced or couples made to get back together that just don't fit. I would have probably loved that ending, sad as it sounds. ( And I like Juan Soler - he can make you hate him and love him all in the same TN - like he's doing in CME right now.)

At this point, with so few episodes, and I was rooting for them, it doesn't seem logical for MarOra to get togther.Unless they do another fast forward and Mar gets to another "place" in his head and has been distanced and grown from Tere, it would be too soon to force. Love to see Aurora become a full doctor, etc. first.

What I do hate is that everyone is forcing Mar back on Aeedddaaa. I mean she will stand there doing her best shrieking and spoiled brat routine, and people will turn around and say, Hey you need to forget Tere and go make right with her. WTH???? I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy. And these are his family and friends.

As for Juana, she had been one of my favorite characters, and this whole Hector/Stupido thing has just soured me. Except for his looks maybe, he's a terrible catch and even when he pulls crap, she makes excuses for him, etc. Their relationship is more like a mother looking out for a screwed up child. They may have done the horizontal, but his maturity level is worse than Johnni's. She needs a wake-up call like Mariano did - otherwise, I wouldn't look at her hookup with that loser as a happy ending.

Can't wait to see how the writers play this out...but please, no little white bows!!!

Jarocha: I see now how the TN that you describe (with Soler) does sound so very well written. I have always liked Soler. I loved him in La Fea when it seemed that so few liked him in that. The story that you describe came full circle. I like that in a TN.

Also agree with daisynjay that these forced pairings/couplings can be too hard to take.

Juana is not dumb. She loves Teresa so much that she turns a blind eye to what I think she sees way down deep in her heart.

I'm not sure what attracts her to Buttberto. As daisy said, it really does seem more like a mother/son relationship. He brings nothing intellectually to her (personally, that is important to me). His mouth has caused many problems of which he does not even seem aware.

Agree that Aurora needs to go away and become a doctor and become her own person. Perhaps then, could she see everything about Mariano in a different light.

I don't see any major changes in Aida in terms of how she sees herself as being so entitled. If anything, her personal biases and prejudices are only becoming stronger.

I think she will be left alone which would be a satisfying ending for me.

Susanita

When Teresa heard about her move back into the vecindad, she ran to Fernando to further entice him and made the point that this move was a career mistake for Arturo. Honestly, I think she was mostly thinking about herself at the time. In novela style, the move might be just the marital medicine that she and Arturo need. He tests her loyalty and she gets her comeuppance for marrying him for money not love. Now he can gloat, stare and get all the venganza he wants. But, Teresa was right, I’m not sure I’d hire a lawyer, who, after making a huge mistake by guaranteeing an investment which drove him into personal bankruptcy and his law firm into insolvency, has his suicidal client's wife shoot his wife, and then........makes a move into a rough Mexico City neighborhood renting office space in his former home. Sounds like a bad career move to me. Fito’s mugging of Armando was a factor in the bankruptcy, now he can just make his threats on an hourly basis standing at the bottom of the vecindad stairs.

I can see why this novela was a big hit in Mexico, it will be very interesting to see how it ends. I wouldn’t mind seeing Teresa alone, she doesn’t seem capable of a maintaining a true relationship. Where she really excels is in her capacity as a lawyer. Carlos Slim needs to hire her as head of his legal department, she could out think every lawyer he has!!! Aida needs to end up alone too, she would drive even the “curly headed guy” crazy after he got to really know her.

Daisy, I don’t like tidy little white bows either! If you think about it, GWTW ended with both Scarlett and Rhett alone, Melanie dead and Ashley all but walking around muttering to himself.

Paquita, thanks a million for your superb recap. I just love the way this episode ended, Teresa was completely blind-sided. What fun!

I don't see how anyone in the hospital gets any work done at all. They spend all their time talking to, yelling at, gawking at and scolding each other.

Rulli has come a long way with his acting. I remember when I used to think he was rather blah in the emote department. He's anything but in Teresa.

Thanks again Frances!

Jarocha, that old TN sounds like an opera -- not a soap opera, a real opera! I don't mind a sad ending if it fits, but ideally I'd like a *few* of my favorite characters to survive.

I can totally picture Luisa and Martin walking down the beach at Cancun hand in hand. ("Do you like pina colaaaaaadas....?")

Vivi great point on Aurora what kills me is when the time she told Teresa she was going to make her move on Mariano she kept still because he was starting to see Aeeeeeeeeeeeeeda. I think she has always stepped back and let her supposed GF be with Mariano. As she waited and pined away for him hoping he would take notice of her eventually. But there comes a time you have to move on and she didn't so that is totally her fault.

Ita that if Mariano does pursue her he needs to prove he's gotten over Teresa for once and for all.

Daisynjay girl you have stolen my exact same thoughts. Why is everyone pushing Mariano to get back with that delusional and deranged harpy? This makes no sense to me whatsoever. Especially those who have witness her in full bullying taunting and nasty mode. If anything Hector and Aurora need to be telling this harpy she needs to go get some serious therapy.I agree she doesn't deserve anyone at the end of this novela i don't think she can be redeemed for what she has pulled.

Teresa if she decides to leave Arturo now then she does deserve to be left alone by herself at the end too.

Vivi i also agree with what you said concerning Juana and Buttberto how she can even be attracted to someone that old who is dumber than Johnny is one of life's great mysteries to me?

Alejandro Avila is actually a year younger than Cynthia Klithbo, FYI.

I like happy endings too but I can also enjoy sad endings from time to time. The only one that drove me crazy was Desencuentro because I hated that the galán died when they had reached happiness. I loved that novela but like to pretend the last episode doesn't exist and the show was over when the leads got married.

I can't understand the Cutberto atraction. He is not only inmature but acts like a jerk accusing Juana of things that aren't true, being all over her business all the time and making fun of Héctor's appearance (I HATE when he makes fun of his weight).

Jarocha

Making fun of Hector's weight is the only thing that can equalize him with Cutberto, because everything Hector is, Cutberto ain't.

Juana is sexually attracted to Cutberto; she's not sexually attracted to Hector and she'll end up choosing Cutberto over Hector on that basis, IMO.

Frances, thanks for this great recap. What will Teresa do? Well based on her initial reaction, she failed Arturo's test. What a shock (not).

Daisy & Blu - thank you so much for saying what I've been screaming for weeks every time some tells Mariano that Aida is an option!!?! She's insane & mean.

Anon207 - loved your analysis of Aurora was great. She needed to tell him all of this much earlier.
Now if he could actually get over Ter and truly heal from his sickness in a believable period of time (and of course Aurora matures as well), then they could be a credible couple.

I think arturo's plan of vengeance will backfire. he is too emotional and in love with teresa. he is not capable being mr mean, that's teresa's department, cold and calculating. he feels that mariano is a bigger threat than he thought , after finding out that his beloved wife loves another and slept with him before they got married ,it's out of the question that he would let her go, hey i agree he's gotta have some balls. I dont think that teresa loves mariano , she sees him as her property, something that belongs to her and as for art, i think she learned to love him, as selfish as she is i think she is capable of that.. I dont think she begged him to give their marriage another shot just because she does not want to go back to the vecindad, she really enjoys his company. the look in her eyes were sincere and she could have gone back to mariano if she really loved him but she didn't. I feel bad for arturo because he is going to suffer, teresa knows how to play her little games really well especially with fernando. If anything arturo will probably end up looking like a fool.

Now that we are in Ultimas Semanas we also know that anything can happen at any time.

Arturo will be lucky to get out of this with his mental health intact.

Teresa will end up alone and I suspect Aida and Juana will, too. Aurora might still get it together.
