Cuando Me Enamoro #104 Wednesday 9/14/11 Baby truths be told, AH gets one chip off his shoulder... sisters (or half sisters) in disbelief... + one long overdue reconciliation

Tantrum girl MR calls her mom mad from airport.. After whining some, she hangs up.
F: You will have to come back to the lane, kid (meaning line back up with my plans), whether you wan to or not.
Roberta insults the airline woman at the counter because she wants an aisle seat, not a middle seat… But she has no choice, plane is full and she won’t wait until the next day.
At MR office, Matt and Gonzo agree that they can return the last loan money to the bank (if only they knew its Jero behind that). They will let Hono handle that so he can thank the bank manager personally for the vote of confidence… Matt asks where he is, Gonzo says Hono is ‘fixing his life’, as we all should be. Gonzo asks Matt about Adriana, he is not sure, will let time say if he can fix things with her.
Fina has arrived at the office, Gonzo tells Beth to let her in. They wonder what she is doing there. Matt says it is time you tell all in the office that Fina is no longer your wife.
Gonzo receives Fina but is acting very rude and distant with her.
Meanwhile at reception, Gina also arrives at the office.
At Ensenada, Jero, folder in hand, finds Renata in the fields.
J: I told you I would prove to you what I said… here is the medical record of Berta’s. It shows that the baby was not mine, but my brother Rafa’s… The baby was 5 mos along and you and I met the day I arrived in Mex, so it is impossible I would have conceived it while still in Spain.

Padre would not like to see her suffer if her gamble did not pay off. She is aware that in love you sometimes win and you sometimes lose but she prefers to suffer for love than not to suffer, because that is living.
Fina and Gonzo argue, he won’t leave her on the street. Fina yells what about my house? Gonzo says the house is under lien for the loan but as soon as that is released the house is hers. Fina insists Gina is his lover, but he yells back defending Gina. Beth calls Gonzo and Fina can hear that Gina is here waiting for him. At ensenada, Augie is looking for Nata in the house. But does not find her, finds her suitcase made up instead and walks out mad. Finds her in living room.
HE acts very possessive with her… but puts up the excuse he was avoiding her pain. She has the papers and won’t tell them what they are, she has to spend some time alone, digest all the information, and return to Mex. She asks him to let her go alone. He asks if it has to do with what Jero said. She says partly, but she has to think and needs space, so she asks him again to let her go alone.
Renata has to assure him its not about Jero.. its about herself, she needs space and time to rearrange her thoughts and feelings. She insists she needs time and space. He says this weekend he will go to see her parents… he is willing to understand her ‘processes’ and give her space, but he needs her to give him his ‘place’. She says ok.
He lets her go finish packing, but thinks ‘things will be as you say until you sign our marriage. After that things will change very much, future Mrs Dunant!
Matt tells Beth to tell everyone that Fina is no longer Gonzo’s wife, and tries to convince a very awkward feeling Gina to stay and wait for Gonzo…
Fina and Gonzo are still arguing in his office, she argues that Gina is allowed to come at will, but she is banned from coming. Gonzo says she only comes to yell and create scandal.

Alfonsina comes to La Bonita with a gift for Kari… Kari is finally ready to put the past behind… bury it along with Alvaro. At least she wants to try and not live angry or staying away from anyone. Alfo says I wish Ezeq was thinking like you… but maybe he is beginning to. This morning he was a bit more charming .. Kari wishes they would get back together.
Gonzo visits Regina at her house.
They get cheesy, smoochy… love is strong, don’t want to say goodbye… She went to the bank and the amount the note is asking for does match the value of the grant.
He reassures her, he won’t allow anyone to hurt her anymore. She thinks the only way to stop the hurt is to agree to the request. Are you sure? Yes… To Pepa my daughter has a price, but not for me.
Renata arrives at Connie’s…
She sits down, says to herself ‘ I feel so alone’.
Jero and Marina are eating together… He tells her about Nata and her reaction. Every day he is even more surprised of Fina’s perverse actions… Seems she takes it on Nata because she reminds her of the man who abandoned them. She asked me to go with her to Mex to confront everyone together.
Mar: Clearing everything opens an opportunity for you two, Jero. So I think you should go. To open or close for good that circle in your life.

Great recap. Thank you for capturing roberta/fina conversation, that was great. I think Roberta will find what Fina has done repulsive. Somehow I think she will go to the office wanted to tell her Dad what is going on and when they confront her like that she changes her mind and joins up with Fina.

Marta, thank you so much! I am so glad you had the cap today so I could verify Fina said all the things she did: I could not believe that Fina told the whole story, the whole, sordid, crazy, sick story! And she almost told the whole truth: she left out that she pushed Roberto through the plate glass window as his heart attacked him, but for Fina this was absolutely unprecedented! Wow! I'm afraid that after Berta is confronted by the whole hee haw gang, she is going to forget her shock at the monster momma is and try to work within Fina's latest evil plot. . .don't know how. The only thing that could be more surprising is if Berta told Renata the truth and became a true sister and ally! Love the pace, love being treated like an intelligent viewer!

I like the way Dr Tata's is handling the Jero/Nata situation and taking the risk that her help may lead the two back to getting together. (Which of course in Telenovelalandia we know won't happen for quite a while.)

ruby, I think that Regina has always strongly suspected that Pepa has her daughter. When they originally put out the APB for the missing child they also included a drawing of Pepa along with that of Reginita.
Marta, special thanks for this recap because I was having one heck of a time figuring out what they were saying. Some of the characters talk way too fast!
The next few episodes should be interesting, to say the least.
And OBTW, I got curious about the "Aeropuerto de Tijuana" and did a little Googling. The airport's northern boundary lies on the US-Mexico border. Google Maps directions show a distance of 2300 km by road from Tijuana to Ciudad de Mexico, which converts to roughly 1,000 nautical miles. At 435 knots true airspeed, flights should take around 2 1/2 hours.
In other words, an eternity in the middle seat. A shame that Mexico doesn't have blue shirted mouth breathers providing "security" that could have had a field day w/ Roberta.

gina recognized Pepa when she was poisoned... so she and others (Cata, Ines, etc) have put two and two together.. Isidro might be the only one who has actually put the puzzle together (and lately Hono and Connie) on the fact that not only Pepa has the girl but she is Gonzo's wife.

Thanks for the great recap, especially that revealing conversation. I'm surprised that Fina spilled so much info to Roberta. She has a LOT of confidence that Berta is as greedy and nasty as she is.

Marta!!! Thank you thank you thank you for including the verbatim dialogues. The revelation by Fina to Berta was so important and knowing what was said word for word helps so much better understand. Add me to the "color me shocked" group that she didn't fabricate and laid it all out to Berta.
Now the question becomes what will Berta do. Will this FINALLY wake her up or not.
Can't wait for tonight's gang-up on Berta by the fearsome threesome. That may be the turning point whether she spills the beans on Fina, or she decides to throw in her lot with the mother and try to rip off Nata inheritance.

Marta, Thank you for your incredible conversaton translations and the precise wording of Roberta's medical record. Fina really spilled except that litle detail of her pushing Roberto through the plate glass window instead of helping him get to immediate medical help. And she has the nerve to feel betrayed by him again because he didn't live long enough to add his bastarda daughter to the will. Sheesh. What lies unspoken in this retelling is how the fate of a spare girl can go when she gets pregnant hoping to snare Roberto (remember her telling Roberta what a good technique this is for controlling a reluctant man). If Roberta wasn't so witchy and selfish I would have felt bad for her learning that her father never wanted her or acknowledged her. I predict that she is too damaged to do anything noble when confronted with Jero and Renata's truth. Oh Sylvia, you have a great episode for tonight! It wil lbe such fun to watch. Then I imagine she will go for money being most of all Fina's only daughter.

Awww Cap'n Sylvia! I missed you guys. . .sometimes life gets in the way of all the fun on this board, dernit! Alas, Robey, I don't really believe Berta will get all noble on us, but these writers have surprised us so far. . .if they did that, they would have to find some other eevil to keep the pot boiling. Fina already lost Tony--Berta is indeed shocked but like the rest of you, I think the attack of truth in the offices of MR will send her scurrying back to the dark side!

I have so wanted to hear what you guys thought of our little drama: I haven't missed any shows but was unable to get to read caps, then you can get so far behind, it's impossible to catch up! So this is lasting til around Christmas. . .my, my, what mischief is Fina and spawn going to get into? I cannot see Berta being able to stomach pretending to be the kind of sweet, considerate daughter Regina would expect her to be. Plus, she can't stand Regina and actually busted her upside the head once, didn't she. As soon as the truth is revealed that one of Fina's daughter's is not hers I can see all eyes turn toward. . .RENATA! Let's see how they pull this off!

Lila, I've missed you too. I always look forward for your insiteful and spicy commentary. You are a cherished member of the C2 community. We all get taken away or get so far behind. Fortuneately most of these stories circle slowly enough that you can catch up even with quite a long break. For now, welcome back. This story is revealing surprise after surprise. I don't know when I've seen a better plot and character development. Well, a few like Alborada but this summer has been a super treat with that very Alborada playing again.
Mike, I think because of El Grito ceremonies for Mexico's Independence Day that everything is being bumped up by 15 minutes.

I think when applied towards women, "amante" equates to mistress in English. So Fina was insinuating that Gina was just "the mistress" - something underhanded and low status - when in fact she is the fiancée. That is what Gonzo was objecting to.
When applied to men it equates to lover in English. Like "pssssst, she has a lover! How shocking!"
