Cuando Me Enamoro #108 Tuesday 9/20/11 Renata and Jero Fall For and All Over Each Other Again, and Gina and Connie Fall Into Fina’s Dangerous and Deadly Trap
Off the top of my head:
-Gina meets Pepa/Fina face to face after over 24 years, in the same park Regina Jr. was stolen from. She ditches her body guards along the way. Pepa/Fina mocks her and basically threatens to kill her daughter if Gina doesn't give her the money and keep her mouth shut. She gives Gina Berta’s ‘R’ necklace as proof of life.
-Soto meets with Matias and tells him he created a super duper secret clause in the marriage contract that will allow Matias to get out of his marriage with Berta, ASAP. Happy, happy, joy, joy. He's still fired though.
-Honorio tells Gonzo about Blanca's call. They inform the cops.
-Chema visits Adri at the office and asks if the reason she is hesitant about him is because of his past involvement with her step-mom and how her dad would feel. Matias secretly listens in as she agrees that is part of the reason. He leaves before she mentions the biggest source of hesitation are her feelings for Matias.
-Nata and Jero reenact their very first meeting by running into, and falling on top of, each other at the bank. She thanks him for convincing the bank to change their mind about the loans to the MRs. She asks why he did it. He fudges and says he did it for her dad and for Matias, to make up for ruining their friendship by falling in love with Nata. They are interrupted before Nata can get the real truth out of him. They stare at each other wistfully.
-At the office, Honorio and Matias inform Nata that the money must have come from Jero's personal account, and NOT the bank. Matias is sure that Jero did it to hold it over their heads. He tries to convince Nata of this.
-Adri thinks Jero gave them the loans because he obviously loves Nata. Nata tries to convince herself that Jero must have had bad intentions, because if she doesn't make herself think badly of him or remember all the bad things he has done to her, she will never stop loving him. Nata calls Jero to confirm the loan came from him personally and not the bank. He doesn't deny it and hangs up on her when she starts insisting on paying him back and questioning his motives.
-Connie sneaks into Fina's office and takes post-it notes with samples of her handwriting. She also takes a photo of her. She is caught by Berta as she is leaving with these docs in a folder. Connie says she came for docs her brother wanted. Berta makes a stink, but can't stop her. Connie later gives the post-its to Jero.
-Berta tells Fina about Connie's visit. They look through the desk, but the only thing she notices is missing is the photo.
-Fina confronts Connie in her home. Connie does not let on about the handwriting/Rafa murder suspicions. But she lets Fina know she took the photo to show Gina to prove she is Pepa-- the woman who stole her daughter, who Connie is sure is Nata.
-Fina smashes a vase against the back of Connie's head, and hits her in the head with a metal statue while she's down. Connie is left looking lifeless in a pool of her blood!
Almost forgot the Wine Country:
-The two couples are happy, happy, and decide on a double wedding.
-I guess Padre doesn't know Alvaro is not dead afterall (I was wrong) because he happily agrees to marry Kari and Laz.
-The stolen mother vine from La Bonita is not doing well. Looks like it has "La Plaga." Augie's vine-sitter is forced to call Cruz de Amor to give the bad news. He gives Zeke a cryptic message to give Augie who is in D.F. and can't leave until he's locked Nata down. Augie tells Zeke to take care of it.
-Zeke finds the vine-sitter, decides the La Bonita super duper Plaga Remedy is the only hope, and tries to find out why this particular shoot is so important. The vine-sitter says he doesn't know, but Zeke is starting to be pretty sure it must be a La Bonita shoot, meaning Augie stole it.

Poor Connie, doesn't she know you never turn your back on a crazy person...
It was hard to watch Jero & Nata staring soulfully at each other and trying to be so noble about letting the other get on with their life. Just succumb to one of those kisses you two!! I thought that Jero kissing Nata's hand was incredibly hot.
And Mathias, if you are going to listen at the door -- stay until the conversation ends. But I don't mind if he suffers a bit --he 's being so insufferable lately.
Quite an episode. Thanks Vivi for giving us a spot to vent.

And Mathias is starting to get on my nerves. He's hot, but his mopey attitude is irritating.
Thanks so much for ad hoc recap!
I'll join in about being amazed that Coni confronted Fina like that. Heck she just admitted to Jero she thinks Fina would be capable of murder. Life rule: Never let your enemy know you're on to them!! I think our lovely lady will survive, but in what state? Dang...
I give up on Matias. When he starts acting like a grown-up, maybe I'll even give him a second of my thoughts.
Have to say, Juan S. has done a good job in moving Jero from someone we all, even those of us who were trying to hang in with him, were ready to beat the crap out of, to someone who is a pretty decent guy. Maybe coupling that with Auggie getting creepier...C'mon Zeke get those brain cells working.
Wow! That was an intense ending last night! Kudos to the writers because I didn't see that coming at all. Constanza held her own up until the very end when Fina went homicidal. I thought the same thing you did, Emilia. It was a (possibly) fatal mistake on Connie's part to turn her back to Fina.
I really hope Connie survives; she's one of my favorite characters. I'm fairly sure the writers won't kill her but they have pulled the rug out from under us before. If she does survive, we're definitely in for an amnesia plot or a prolonged coma. The show would be over tomorrow if Connie woke up and was able to tell everyone that Fina attacked her. Pobrecita. :(

Well I want to complain about an ordinarily smart woman going to a door where someone is going apesh** on the other side and not even asking or peeping to see who is that furious. But poor Consta, I too hope she isn't waking up with a big concussion.
It was soooooooo disappointing that we were teased with a preview of the second hall way crash and it led to a BIG FAT NOTHING, booo.
Hacienda life is headed toward more train wrecks, poor Lazaro will have to put up with churchlady, I'm just sure of it. BUT, hey, maybe Zeke will get a spine or at least pillowtalk with Alfonsina so word of the vine theft gets to the right place.
THANKS VIVI!
I hope they at least Const. a pink gown to wear, for consistancy.
And agree that the Renata/Jero stumble was a real tease. Romance lasted about half a second. Dang.
Coni bashed in the head?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I can't stand the thought!!
Coni mentioned to Honorio that she suspects Pepa and Fina are the same person. Will this put Hons at the top of the hit list if he stupidly lets this cat out of the bag?
Coni, why oh why did you answer the angrily pounding door? Didn't you just know it would be Fina? As stated, this sort of stupidity is telenovela law but it still drives me crazy.
Nata cannot even stand to be close to Augi and she wouldn't tell her family she is engaged to him. And did he leave his cell phone in her office?
I thought it was funny when Jero hung up on Renata (even though that is a very rude thing to do). Also funny how he scolded the phone afterward.
Thanks again Vivi, it's great that you did this recap.
