Teresa Fri 9/2/11 #130 Mayra Channels Dr. Phil and Mariano Channels Rhett Butler

Aida plans to buy Martin’s share of Luna Turqueza. Together with Geno’s shares, they can ensure that Teresa and Arturo lose everything! They all agree Teresa deserves no less and she will not be able to recover from this loss. In order to keep the Barreras from making a profit, the condo tower would have to stop and with the delay in the sales, that’s sure to happen. Everyone does a Happy Dance!

PENTHOUSE: Teresa tries to convince Arturo to take Fernando’s offer. He’s sure to give them a fair price on Luna Turqueza. Arturo still feels it’s best to wait. Fernando then offers to loan him money for a new firm. Arturo thinks he means a firm for both he and Teresa. Fernando clarifies that Teresa should no longer be his partner. Teresa’s happily following the conversation until this last part. Her eyes bug out!

CASA GENOVENOM: Aida gets off the phone with Martin – he’s agreed to sell her his shares because he doesn’t want to return to Mexico for a long time. Geno assumes correctly it’s because of Aurora. Aida lets the thought of Aurora go by without another word and then brings out a gift for little “Paulito”. She’s excited to finally meet the little guy! Ruh-roh!

PENTHOUSE: Fer explains he doesn’t think it’s prudent considering how things are. Teresa assumes it’s because of Odiosana. Arturo doesn’t care what anyone thinks. If he and his wife want to work together, that’s how it will be. Well, Fernando says, it was just a suggestion. Teresa thinks it might be best for their relationship if they don’t work together. Fernando proposes that Arturo set up his practice to manage all the businesses he’s inherited and Teresa, she can be his power of attorney (apoderada) for one of his businesses. She appreciates everything he’s offering to do for them but asks that he let them discuss the matter. Arturo agrees and Fernando gives him the wolf look! Arturo looks like he smells something rotten in el D.F.!

CHEZ GENOVENOM: Geno is ever so grateful for Aida’s gift but the baby is out with his nurse right now. Ruben plays along saying darn it, he also wanted to see the baby but they’ll have to wait for another time. Geno offers to show them the nursery and promises to take him to visit Casa Caceres so Mayra can meet him too! Ugh, what a snake! Ruben pretends to be bitter that she’s lucky to have her baby while he does not have his. Aida assures him he’ll win his fight.

PENTHOUSE: Arturo thanks Fernando again for all his help. Teresa sends her regards to Luisa and remembers this is their monthly anniversary. Fernando leaves and Teresa runs to Arturo. He wonders why she’s so happy. She thinks it’s great that Fernando is offering him a chance to set up a firm to take care of his legal business both here and in Spain. Not so fast, Sharky girl. Arturo’s not too sure. He needs to think about it.

VECINDAD: Juana tells Jughead she needs time to think it out. He doesn’t seem to think it’s so difficult -- she only has to decide yes or no. She tells him she’s going to take Teresa’s advice and think it through carefully. He objects and she says he acts as though Ter is such a bad influence on her. He knows Teresa is set on Juana marrying Hector. He wants to know what it is that Juana wants. He kneels before her and tells her that if she loves him, they should be happy together and be done with it. She repeats it’s not easy and besides she hasn’t ended it with Hector, blah, blah, blah. Blahberto’s had enough. He feels she’s treating him unfairly. He loves her and knows she loves him. He’s decided to go back to Zacatecas. He hands her a paper with the address and tells her if she changes her mind that’s where she can find him, but only to marry him. He warns her not to wait too long or he might be married himself by the time she goes looking for him.

PENTHOUSE: Teresa doesn’t understand Arturo’s reluctance. It’s almost as though he prefers to stay in his current situation. He tells her it looks as though she’s keen on returning to their previous lifestyle. (Well, duh! He wins the prize for the understatement of the evening!) She rolls her eyes behind him and then asks what’s so wrong with wanting what they had before? It’s not a sin to want to improve. Everything’s so good with them now. She loves him and she knows he needs her so why not speed things up? Does he intend to continue to test her? No, he knows she loves him above all else: Mariano, money – absolutely everything.

CASA FERNANDO/PENTHOUSE: Mamá O is waiting when Fernando gets home and tells him they need to talk. He assumes it’s about the inheritance but she tells him it’s about Teresa! Dun, dun, DUN! Just then, Teresa’s sneaking around the penthouse dialing up Fernando who doesn’t answer because Oriana looks worried. Teresa starts to leave him a voicemail but Arturo comes back into the room ready to go to work.

HOSPITAL: Hector admits to Juana he’s agitated about the Mariano situation but he doesn’t feel that should affect their relationship. He loves her and they shouldn’t continue to postpone their wedding. I-Don’t-Wanna-Juana deflects this by saying they should talk about Aurora and Mariano, repeating for the umpteenth time that she thinks of Aurora as her daughter. Hector thinks Maurora is a separate issue. He doesn’t understand why Aurora didn’t mention anything while he was visiting her. Juana figures Aurora was afraid of his reaction. Hector makes it very clear he doesn’t accept the thought of Aurora having a relationship with Mariano. Pati interrupts them and says she’s here to visit her sobrinito. Juana takes this as an opportunity to escape but Hector tells her he’ll come by tonight to discuss the wedding.

CASA FERNANDO: Oriana demands to know why Fernando offered the penthouse to the Barreras. Was it for Arturo? Or Teresa! Oriana feels Fernando should have just let Arturo test Teresa. They shouldn’t have moved out so quickly. Fernando, of course, disagrees and can’t believe she’d say that. He tells her Arturo mistreated Teresa who loves him so much she put up with his drunkenness and abuse. Oriana sees he’s now defending her! Fernando feels Teresa was in the right but Oriana counters this by saying Teresa is a manipulator! Oriana now tells him that Teresa said she can manipulate any man, including him! Fernando can’t believe Teresa would say that. Oriana says it’s fortunate that he fell in love with a woman like Luisa and will be married in two weeks.

Luisa and Lucia are talking wedding stuff. Lucia doesn’t know where she can get a dress on such short notice and Luisa offers up Juana who can surely whip up something in time. Luisa misses her mother at this time when she surely needs her advice on marriage. Lucia’s never been married but she has lived with someone. She advises Luisa to talk to Fernando to make sure he’s ready to take this step. Luisa assures her they’ve talked about it (ad nauseam) and he has no doubts. Lucia suggest they talk about what they expect from the marriage, like children for example. So many things can change.

HOSPITAL: Mariano sends Aurora what appears to be one of many e-mails. He tells her he’s ready to leave for Zacatecas. He may be far away physically, but his heart will remain with her. Hector walks in and looks like he’s loaded for bear! He understands Mariano went looking for his daughter in Cuernavaca. Mariano knows this upsets him but he assures him his feelings are sincere. He loves Aurora. Hector explodes: “LIES! You’re still in love with Teresa and will never stop loving her despite the fact that she dumped you to marry another!” Hector doesn’t believe him when he says he loves Aurora. He warns him to stay away from her, he will not allow him near her! Mariano can’t promise he’ll do that when what he desires most is to be with her. He’s been after her all this time and will continue to do so until she returns his love.

CASA FERNANDO: A huge bouquet of roses has arrived for Luisa. She tells Lucia Fer always remembers their monthly anniversary. He loves her, of that much she’s sure. (Ah, but did he order the flowers before or after Teresa mentioned the anniversary earlier?)

Arturo and Teresa have arrived. Lucia and Arturo head to the den to discuss business. Luisa tells Teresa that Lucia is going to be in the wedding. Teresa’s not pleased but says what’s important is that Luisa likes her. She admits she didn’t like that Lucia seemed so chummy with Arturo until she realized they’ve known each other since childhood. Luisa assures her she’ll like her and encourages her to get to know her and she’ll soon realize Lucia is super buena onda (really cool).

In the den, Oriana asks Fernando and Lucia to step out so she can speak privately with Arturo. Uh-oh. She hopes Arturo doesn’t misinterpret this, but she was disappointed to hear they moved out of the vecindad. It would have been the perfect opportunity to see if Teresa truly loves him. He admits he had the same thought. Oriana says she knows how jealous he is and knowing what happened between Teresa and Mariano, anything Teresa does will hurt him and he’ll be suspicious. She asks if he’ll be able to live tormented by the green-eyed monster. He tells her that’s precisely why he left the vecindad. He treated Teresa unfairly. Oriana repeats it’s a shame he didn’t stay longer because he’ll always have that doubt of whether or not Teresa would have hung in there. He admits he was very uncomfortable there. She reminds him she only tells him all this because she loves him. If she insists, it’s because she’s sure that given the opportunity, Teresa will set her eyes on someone else. Arturo appreciates that Oriana set him straight but he’s decided to remain by Teresa’s side for a reason. As he’s said before, they’ve decided they will not allow anyone to interfere again in their marriage. Well, you can’t say he wasn’t warned.

In the meantime, Lucia, Teresa, Luisa, and Fernando are having a nice visit. Lucia is happy to see how well he treats Luisa. Teresa is looking a bit uncomfortable with the conversation and leaves to supposedly make a call.

CASA CACERES: Aida is in her rrrrrrrrata de vecindad zone again, swearing to her mother she must seek revenge!!! Mayra strongly rejects this idea saying vengeance is never good for anyone. Furthermore, she will not authorize the use of her money to buy Luna Turqueza shares if it’s only to harass Teresa. (go Mayra!). Aida wonders that Mayra isn’t aware their family has been ruined because of that maldita rrrrrrata! All her problems can be traced back to Teresa. Her problems with Paulo, Mariano, and even that gata Esperanza is Teresa’s friend. She even convinced Amadeo to turn against her father. Mayra isn’t so sure she should believe everything Ruben says. This is surely his version of the story and this doesn’t change the fact that he cheated on her. (woohoo again for Mayra! )

CASA FERNANDO: Fernando and Teresa get a moment alone and he asks if she’s ok. She’s fine but it did bother her to see the roses he sent Luisa, the talk of the wedding. She feels so guilty. He admits he feels badly too. She hopes Arturo accepts her proposal to move away from here especially after that altercation she had with Oriana. Fernando admits she mentioned it. Oriana walks in and Teresa suggests that Oriana can tell him what they talked about yesterday. Oriana says she told Fernando that Teresa is sure she can capture him. Teresa says that’s right, that’s what she said.

CASA CACERES: Aiiiiiiiiida continues to plead her case, saying Teresa has sworn her vengeance against her for years after Aida started dating Paulo when he left Teresa. Mayra remembers that things didn’t quite happen that way and advises Aida to leave it in the past. She repeats that vengeance is not a good thing. She urges Aida to forgive and forget and start a new life. That’s the only way she’ll be happy. (wow, looks like Mayra got a good dose of Dr. Phil while she was gone) Aiiiiiiida refuses. Mayra’s very sorry but she will not help her and won’t give her money to buy Luna Turqueza shares. Aida says she won’t rest until she gets her revenge. She wants the world to see Teresa for what she is, a hypocite and a liar. Wow, what a Bitter Betty our Aida has turned into.

CASA FERNANDO: Teresa admits she told Oriana that she could manipulate him but that was after she’d had enough of Oriana’s insults. She repeats Oriana accused her of eventually leaving Arturo for another man with money. Fernando can’t believe it and Oriana tells him she was only stating her opinion. Teresa continues, saying she knows many men have been after her and desire her. In addition to being rich, Fernando is handsome, intelligent, charming but it’s obvious nothing can happen because she’s a married woman! She loves her husband and he’s engaged to her BFF.

CUERNAVACA: Dario and Magda have come to visit Aurora and they tell her they are now dating and they’re on their way to visit her parents so they can meet him. They also ask her a huge favor – to travel to Zacatecas to help Mariano on his project. Pretty please, they can’t go because they’re visiting her parents and can’t let him go alone. He’s kept her informed of the project through all his e-mails but she wants to decline and suggests Aida. Nothing doing, Aida’s not a doctor. They plead with her to please do this for them.

VECINDAD: Juana is explaining to Hector that Mariano finally opened his eyes and realized he loves Aurora. She tells him not to say anything to Aurora and let her try with Mariano if that’s what she wants. Hector’s not sure. He changes the subject to the wedding. He has some ideas about the menu, the music, etc. He wants to know when she wants to get married. I-don’t-wanna-Juana starts to fidget. Ugh.

HOSPITAL: Mayra is there looking for Esperanza who doesn’t see her at first because she’s so worried.

VECINDAD: Poor Hector is chatting along about wedding plans. Juana finally admits she’s not sure she wants to get married. He quickly assumes she’d rather live together. He’s very conservative but he loves her so much he’ll do whatever she wants. He just wants them to be together, travel, and be a true couple. Juana keeps trying to tell him she has doubts. Hector understands if she needs more time but she should consider that he doesn’t want to wait any longer.

HOSPITAL: Mayra assures Esperanza she’s not here to argue. She’s decided to forgive Ruben and begin a new life, just like Esperanza has. Esperanza says it hasn’t been easy and she realizes she’s been very lucky. Mayra tells her she’s written about what happened and in the process came to the realization that she can’t move forward with her life because she hadn’t forgiven Esperanza. Esperanza is impactada! Mayra is very serious about it. She knows the baby she had with Ruben is ill and if anything were to happen to him, she’d just die. As a mother, she understands Espe and sincerely hopes her son will recover. Esperanza admits that what she did was wrong by starting an affair with a married man. She’s very sorry for having been the cause of Mayra’s suffering.

Meanwhile, Dorkberto is telling Mariano that although he loves his Juanita, he’s fed up. Mariano tells him it’s good that he’s realizing this. He shouldn’t waste so much time like he did with Teresa. Twithead repeats that if she goes to him in Zacatecas it will be to marry him. Either he marries Juanita or he stays in Zacatecas. He asks Mariano to deliver his goodbye letter. Mariano suggests he deliver it himself face to face. He wishes he could do that with Aurora instead of sending all those e-mails.

Esperanza sincerely apologizes to Marya who says she forgave her long ago. At one time she thought she hated her. She’s learned everything happens for a reason. She’s also learned she can stand on her own. She doesn’t need to have a man by her side and Ruben was one bad cookie. She thinks of the irony in all this that neither of them is with Ruben.

CASA CACERES: La Odiosa Oriana is visiting with Bitter Betty (aka Aiiiiida) who can’t believe that rrrrrrrata had the nerve to say she was going after her son. Oriana’s only too happy that the wedding is only two weeks away and everything seems to be going along very well. Aida reminds Oriana of everything she said about Teresa and how she swore revenge simply because she had stood up in front of their classmates and told everyone of Teresa’s true origins. Aida pouts that Mayra won’t give her the money to buy the Luna Turqueza shares. Not to worry, says Oriana. If it will help Arturo realize what a shameless hussy he has by his side, she’ll help Aida with her plans. Oriana will buy Martin’s shares so Arturo will be left with nothing and Teresa will leave him. Arturo can then find a good woman who deserves him and Teresa will be far away from Luisa……and her son!

CASA FERNANDO: Fer doesn’t understand why Arturo rejects his help. Doesn’t he trust him? Completely, says Arturo. If he weren’t married to Teresa he would have already accepted his help. Arturo is back to having doubts about Teresa marrying him for his money and if he accepts Fernando’s help, he’ll be in a good financial situation. “¡Es el colmo!” shouts Fernando. “My mother talked to you and that’s why you’re like this. That’s it. If you’re not going to honor the woman at your side then divorce her and set Teresa free!”

CASA CACERES: Aida warns Oriana that the money she invests in Luna Truqueza could be lost. Oriana responds that the millions she puts at risk won’t matter if it rescues Arturo and keeps her son from risk. Because even though Luisa and Fernando are getting married, Teresa isn’t the type to respect the sanctity of marriage. No argument from Aida who says that rrrrrrrata didn’t even respect her own marriage. Oriana clarifies she doesn’t want the shares to be in her name. She doesn’t want Arturo to find out she was in cahoots with Genovenom and Bitter Betty.

CASA FERNANDO: Arturo wants to know how Fernando can think he’d leave Teresa. Fernando points out how he’s still doubting her, testing her. Teresa loves him, she will not cheat on him. Arturo wonders how Fernando can be so certain. He already spoke with Oriana and asked her not to interfere but she was right. He’s doubtful because Teresa is so anxious for him to recover his financial status. Fernando sees nothing wrong in this. Arturo should start again with Teresa, maybe even move away. If he won’t sell him the Luna Turqueza shares, then perhaps they can go to Cancun and handle it from there. Arturo doesn’t want to run away. He wants to confront the situation and he’s determined to find out if Teresa truly loves him. There are times he feels she does and he would do anything to avoid losing her. But then there are times that he’s tormented by doubt and this confuses him. He can’t forget the past. Although his head tells him he should retaliate and get away from her, his heart tells him to continue to fight to keep her by his side. In the midst of this conflict he feels he’ll go mad. Fernando pleads with him to listen and dedicate himself to being happy with Teresa or he’ll lose her.

LUXURY APARTMENTS: Teresa runs into to Mariano at the elevators and tells him she now lives here and soon she’ll return to her life of luxury. He certainly hopes so because that seems to be the only thing that will make her happy. Oh, he knows that’s not true, she says. They shared such beautiful times together and he didn’t have any money. Mariano sarcastically says she stopped sharing those moments with him and went after someone with money. He tells her not to worry. He’s sure Arturo will be happy to hear that he’s not one to visit with neighbors. She finds it incredible that they’re once again living in the same building. He says the difference is that he’s improved his lifestyle to arrive here while she’s come down a peg since she got married. If she had waited for him they’d be here…together. She doesn’t like to think about yesterday. She prefers to think of the future. He thinks always thinking of the future keeps her from living in the present. He accuses her of always calculating her next move and how she can have more without enjoying what she has. That’s not true, she says. She enjoyed their time together. She knows he misses their time together because he enjoys living in the past -- the past he had with her. It used to be painful for him to think of his past with her. But now he only asks himself how he could have been so stupid, so blind. That’s not blindness (ceguera), she says, that’s love. And even though he continues to deny it, he still loves her. “No Teresa,” he says “and if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll take the stairs.” Before he can get away, she calls after him, “accept it, you still love me. I know it.” She’s sure of it.

VECINDAD: Twerpberto visits Johnny/Pati and tells them how Gramps told him about Juana’s infertility and this is how he came to understand her. It’s now up to her to choose between him and Hector. YAWN!

PENTHOUSE: Arturo arrives just after Teresa. She greets him warmly and tells him he’s her present and she loves him. Guess Mariano’s little speech struck a nerve. He wonders if she’s going to try to talk him into accepting Fernando’s offer because this is how she always acts when she wants something. This upsets her and she walks off in a snit.

CASA BARRERA: Fernando explains to Luisa that the best thing that could happen to the Barreras is for them to move far away and this way they can all be happy. This will help them strengthen their marriage but if they stay here……Luisa interrupts him and says she’ll talk to Arturo. He adores Teresa and he has to come around. She knows Teresa loves him and will be patient. Besides, she thinks Teresa might be a little jealous of Lucia. She’s convinced they just need to talk things through. She doesn’t want the same thing to happen to them. If there’s ever anything that could jeopardize their own relationship, she wants him to promise her he’ll tell her. (be careful what you wish for)

PENTHOUSE: Arturo thought-bubbles Fernando’s words about divorcing Teresa if he won’t trust her. Teresa comes to him but changes her mind and goes to bed. He then goes to her but changes his mind and goes back to brooding on the couch. In the morning, he wakes her and she realizes he didn’t sleep with her. He wonders if she would have liked that and she wonders if he would have believed her if she asked him to. They embrace and she asks what it will take for him to believe she loves him. They begin to smooch.

CASA FERNANDO: Dumberto is taking his leave of Doña Oriana saying he’s figured out she only used him to get the goods on Teresa. Since he’s already told her everything, he’s resigning. She tells him not to feel bad about Teresa, he was only telling the truth. She tells him not to hesitate to call her if he is ever in need of employment.

VECINDAD: Mariano drops in on Juana and hands her the card from Jughead and tells her he knows the whole story. He knows Buttberto really loves her and Hector does too. He hopes she’ll choose the one that makes her happy. He asks about Aurora and she tells him she’s fine but Hector doesn’t want him near her. Mariano knows this but won’t let that stop him. She wishes him luck and he leaves.

Luisa stops by with Lucia to talk about her dress for the wedding.

CASA FERNANDO: The Barreras arrive and Teresa quickly looks for Fernando who tells her she was right in her suspicion that Arturo had Jacinto spying on her. She can’t believe he continues to doubt her when all she wants is to get away from Fernando to avoid being unfaithful. He tells her Arturo will definitely not accept his help. He then blabs that Arturo is determined to continue to put her to the test. Now that’s a loyal friend for you. Friggin’ Fickle Fernando!

So, so, so proud of Mayra! She's grown as a person and learned she can stand on her own. She doesn't need revenge to validate her life. I loved that she absolutely refused to help Aida buy those shares! Yay!

Also proud of Mariano. Can it be? Is he finally cured of Tereitis? Just loved it when he walked away from her. Previews show him finding/hugging Aurora.

As for I-Don't-Wanna-Juana and Jughead, I'm done with them. For sure, she's going to break Hector's heart. It angers me to see her act so lovingly toward him when she knows she's thinking of that Doofus. AAAAAAAGH!!!

And Fernando! What a traitorous, treacherous jerk he's turning into. Teresa was right, she's able to manipulate him just like any man.

Arturo seems to be catching on. He knows something's going on but either can't see it or doesn't want to see it.

This has been so good all week! woohoo!

I haven't watched my novelas yet, but it sounds like a great capitulo. Will watch it mañana and come back to catch up on the comments. Great recap, como siempre.

Paquita, thank you for the great recap.
I don't wanna Juana-so true, and I am so tired of her indecision. It seems that Buttberto wanting children wasn't the only barrier in choosing Goofberto over Hector.
I was surprised to see Mayra forgive Espy-finally, somebody forgives someone, look at all the trouble in the story caused by someone wanting revenge-Tere wanting revenge and pushing Paulo into distruction, she even got revenge on Mariano for not being ambitious enough, and now Aida can think of nothing else but getting revenge on Tere for her revenge on Paulo for Aida's meanness in highschool.
This whole TN is based on revenge. Tere cannot stand Fer, really, and yet is trying to get revenge on Oriana.
I am glad to see Art is realizing how manipulative she is. It seems Art is channeling a bit of Rhett Butler, too.
If Fer buys Arts shares, that will mean that Aida can't destroy Art and Tere, right? What will happen if Oriana steps in and helps Aida? Won't that destroy Fer?

Paquita, Paquita, OMG, this is great work! I laughed so hard at your "Jughead" and "Twerpberto" knicknames for our favorite "mariachi filth". "I-Don't-Wanna-Juana" is perfection, hehehe!

I agree with everyone that has said over the past few days that Juana looks to be heading towards breaking Hector's heart. I wish it weren't so, but I suppose she can't help how she feels.

My memory is fuzzy, but didn't Juana originally like Jughead, but caught him kissing Gramp's maid? Was that the catalyst for her solidifying her relationship with Hector? Apparently she never really had gotten over Clownberto.

Fernando is a turd. A big fat floater. He's gone far beyond violating the Bro Code. He's doing things that, if discovered, could get him severely beat up, or worse.

Us cool guys (and yes, I'm a cool guy so I don't want to hear any smack from the peanut gallery), anyway, us cool guys refer to guys like Fernando as the type that should name their penis, that way they're on a first name basis with the one who makes all their decisions.

Paquita, wonderful recap. I lol at Dont Wanna Juana!!!

and Sharkbyte I also lol at your last comment....so funny!!!

Go, Mayra! While I am not down with Forgiveness Nazis, this seems to work for her. It may not be enough, though, to teach Aida that her obsession is going to hurt her.

She does need to tell Aida about Rubigote and Genovenom.

Fernando and Arturo are both just as lost as Don José in the opera Carmen, which I saw the other night. In fact, I see a lot of her traits in our Princess Piranha:

-- She flirts without meaning it
-- She manipulates for her own advantage
-- She gets off on her ability to do this
-- She doesn't care about the consequences of her actions
-- She is incapable of being friends with another woman for long
-- She is a destructive force

She will be stopped. One way or another.

Oh my, what a tangled mess we have. Aida, Geno, Ruben, and Oriana are ALL willing to screw up Luna Turquesa and ruin their own investments for Teresa VENGANZA, wow! I think Oriana has forgotten that her son and future DIL have an interest in the project too. This truly, as Emarie just said, is a novela based on revenge.

Yes, Mayra has given us a beautiful example of how we should conduct our lives if we are tested as she has been. I'm so proud of her. UA, it isn't so much about forgiveness, it's moving on with grace.

Elvira, from yesterday, thanks for your recap of an episode that was a little more difficult to understand than most. I couldn't believe my ears when Teresa seemed to indicate that she was making a sacrifice for Arturo by teasing "Friggin’ Fickle Fernando" (good one Frances, great recap!) to speed up the money recovery process.  It must be great to live in denial La La land, the rest of us live with self-directed remorse due to our mistakes.

Sharkbyte, great Wednesday recap  loved the reference to your aunt in Yonkers!

Paquita!! Absolutely wonderful! Every little nuance was there as always! :)) Gracias!

I don't wanna Juana. Oh my. What a perfect description. Last night, I thought to myself: I'm done with this one. If it's Jughead she wants, then it's Jughead she can have. I thought Juana had more intelligence than that, but I guess I was wrong.

Agree with Sandy that Mayra was gracefully moving on and was able to be an ADULT in her conversation with Espe.

I was thinking of the irony of the Luna Turqueza business. Pathetic Pat Pal was the one to name the business after a book Arturo had given her in their 'loving' days. Amazing that Pat Pal indirectly still has a hand in things...from Mariano's clinics to this business which will surely end up a disaster.

Sharkbyte: I've been sitting on the fence re No-Neck Fer, but I'm with you on your description of him.

...and La Odiosa...she's right up there with Aida in terms of wanting hateful revenge. It will come back to bite her some how. I have to believe that.

Gracias, Paquita!!!!

Susanita

P.S. As a bit of an aside, I wish they would dress Patty in something besides that yellow/orange dress. It makes her hunch over because she is so afraid it's going to fall down! Wardrobe, where are you?

Love it Paquita. You really described some of these lugheads perfectly.

Amazing how some of the characters in this TN that one loved, now drive you crazy and vice versa.
Fernando, may have been a playboy, but not such a bad guy. Now, he's just a jerk. Instead of trying to "work" Arturo, why doesn't HE move away, back to Spain and take Louisa with HIM? Spoiled little boy...

Hector, nice man, but when it comes to relationships, he doesn't seem to have the best ability to read emotions. So let Aurora deal with hers and pay attention to the dunderhead sitting in front of you. Frankly, at this point, Juana should just remain alone. She does't know what the blazes she wants and might never be happy in either realtionship.

Yeah-Marya!!!!! Wish she would have told Screechy about Geno and dear old Dad.

You know, these stupid people are so intent on destroying Teresa, they are going to take each other down, and definitely are ignoring what it will do to others. Queen Mama actually thinks that destroying Arturo financially is okay, just because it gets back at Teresa. Nice lady. And what would it do to her own son and Louisa. Hello they have shares too!!!

Screechy is just obsessed - even her own mother sees that. Love her pointing out that she seems to have rewritten history to justify her hatred. Girl deserves what she gets, sorry. See no redemption here...

Aurora take thee to Zacatecas! You know you want to. Marora is one couple I would like to see make it and just move away.

Sharkbyte - your are definitely one of the cool guys!

Paquita, thanks for the detail. Love all the bertos, but "Twitberto" really sings.

ITA on Fer. Bad enough that he's pawing his best friend's wife, but now he rats out Art to Ter. He is the absolute lowest. Writers, please don't let this ratfink hormone marry Luisa.

On the Luna Turqueza shares, if Odiano buys the shares would the project just be delayed but still profitable in the long term? ITA on Mayra's refusal to help Aida with her venganza, but not sure what she's waiting for in order to tell Aida about Ruben and Geno.

Paquita .. thanks for making sense of stuff I missed. Yes, Sharkbyte, you are a cool guy for sure. I love this blog.

I-don't-wanna-Juana! Too funny, Paquita!

SharkByte, Juana and Cutberto were pretty happy together in the old days. I started to like him back then because they obviously had so much fun together and really enjoyed each other, and I liked the back-and-forth dialogue with all the slang and double-entendres. They even slept together -- and still called each other "usted" afterward, which I think is hilarious.

Love Mayra's new backbone. You go girl! Hope we get to meet her new guy.

Loved the recap Frances. Fernando has shown that he is not a friend to Arturo now blabbing to Teresa their private conversation. With friends like that who needs enemies.

Oriana helping Aida with her odious plan is only going to backfire in her face. Teresa already has Fernando in her hands like putty. She will get him just to prove to Oriana that she could while hurting Luisa and Arturo.

I'm tired of Juana and her yo yoing between Hector and Cutberto. Just tell Hector the truth and run off with Curtberto since that's what she wants to do anyway.

Loved Mariano telling Teresa that he's washed her out of his hair. Now he just needs to prove it to all the doubters.

I was typing so fast I I misspelled my own moniker.

"Queen Mama actually thinks that destroying Arturo financially is okay, just because it gets back at Teresa. Nice lady." I agree Daisy. They aren't even thinking of what this will do to Arturo or Luisa. They are only bent on exposing Teresa. I hope Arturo does find out the role she played in this when the crap hits the fan again.

The one thing I am not sure of is why Mayra has not word one to Aida re Boots 'N Roots and the Rubigote.

I'm a bit mystified at that one.

I think things are going to backfire in La Odiosa's face when something goes wrong with that inheritance. Did I understand correctly the other night that apparently, a lot of money has already been lost by the uncle who mismanaged some of the businesses?

Also, could someone refresh my memory and tell me how La Odiosa's husband died or did we ever know this?

Susanita

Frances- thank you so much for this wonderful recap. I was also very proud of Mayra. She has really evolved. I love that she went to Espe and had that talk. It was good for both of them. I wish that in that conversation, the fact that Geno is Ruben's lover had come up. Espe and Mayra are the only two people who know about it. Espe really is great at keeping secrets because all this time she never revealed that to anyone, and Mayra found out on her own.

Perhaps the reason Mayra hasn't mentioned it to Aida is because she knows it won't do any good. Ruben will just hoodwink Aida again and she'll believe his version. He already laid the groundwork by saying Mayra misunderstood a hug between him and Geno. You know Aida will be believe him-- she's so desperate for his love and acceptance.

Juana and Goofberto had great chemistry and great times together. No one can deny their chemistry. I'm more annoyed that she's stringing Hector along, when he has given her plenty of chances to opt out, even telling her he was giving her time to choose between him or Berto. But nooooo, she decides she wants to be with Hector, despite her doubts. She needs to let him go already!

The other thing that annoys me is that Goofberto is just a big, immature, gossipy kid. He has not evolved, matured or changed in the least. I think the writers dropped the ball on that big time. Had he evolved, I would be all for him and Juana tying the knot. But what sane, mature woman wants a big kid for a husband?

I think Hector will come around once he sees Mariano is for real and that he's truly making Aurora happy. He had even calmed down a bit after speaking to Juana about it. I'm not concerned that he's going to be an obstacle to Maurora. He's just looking out for his daughter. I can't blame him for that.

I am disgusted with Fernando. He is betraying Arturo on so many levels. I want him to be found out NOW so that Luisa can dump his womanizer butt.

"But what sane, mature woman wants a big kid for a husband? "

Ah, there's the rub...Juana is always looking to take in another person who is "just like me own child" as she tries to compensate for losing her child and never being able to have another. But unfortunately, I think a lot of what she sees in Dufus is just another individual she can nurture and take care.she knows full way he is a big immature lug, but it's that constant need to "mother" that endears him to her.Me, that would make me kick him to the curb.

She often talks to him like a mother to her teenage son too and reprimands him like one too.
She can't be that way with Hector. He doesn't "need" her in that way. He's an adult looking for an adult relationship. I'm not sure she knows how to do that...or wants that.

Daisynjay makes a good point about Juana's need to nurture and how Doofus/Cutberto fits into that. I haven't been able to hate Cutberto as much as most viewers here do. I still remember him as the doctor in Corazon Salvaje, when he was so kind, sweet, and helpful. I keep thinking he's going to redeem himself somehow.

Thanks to all the recappers for a stream of excellent recaps. Great comments, as well.
La Paloma

Maybe Cutberto can step in and save baby Rodrigo. (Although that will be hard to do from Zacatecas.)

Thing is, Cutberto doesn't need to be redeemed by doing a brave act. We already know he's a good person. Whenever someone is ill, he's among the first to hand over all the momeny he's got and offer to help out. He does have many good qualities as a friend and neighbor (execpt the gossipy thing). So I don't hate the guy. But he has no good husband qualities. Only him showing maturity and the ability to reason and self reflect would do that for me.

Regarding Twitberto: Jughead really can't sing and that is his talent and main livelihood. Maybe people pay him to stop singing.

Enjoy all your recaps and love your new name for Juana..".I-Don't-Wanna- Juana"... perfect. Thanks, Paquita.

I don't think Art will appreciate Sharkita seducing Fer to help Art out as she says to herself. She is just planning some options in case things don't work out the way she wants...she will have Fernando and his wealth and revenge on Oriana as well.

GinCA

I don't think Art will appreciate Sharkita seducing Fer to help Art out as she says to herself.

I think GinCA has a good point here. Teresa justifying her shenanigans with Fer by saying it's "to help Arturo" is bunk.

I wonder how Teresa would feel if the tables were turned and Arturo seduced Aida or Lucia - you know, just to "help Teresa"!

One thing I don't understand: Teresa told Juana that Cutberto was the one who told Oriana everything and Juana just let that pass? I know she confronted him about it. He admitted he talked to her but that I forget what else he told her (cuz I don't play close attn to anything he says). So how is it that she's not upset with him about that? ugh....

Just like everyong else here I don't understand why Mayra didn't go straight to Aida about what she witnessed between Geno & Rubigote. hmmm

Has Mayra actually been alone with Aida since she witnessed the sleazasmoochathon? We've had so many scene cuts lately, I'm confused about the sequence of events.

Word verification: scharc.

I swear they're doing it on purpose.

Paquita - from what I remember when Juana confronted Crudberto about what he told Oriana, he just told Juana not to blow it out of proportion and not to lose her cool. Juana asked him how he could treat her goddaughter that way. He said she was exaggerating the situation. His defense was that he wasn't gossiping. Oriana asked about it and he answered; he was just trying to be polite. Everthing he said was the truth so he doesn't feel he did anything wrong.

That's really all there was to it. It was kind of a short scene and they just moved on to other things afterward.

Loved the recap ! I am getting tired of Arturo, great abs and all. His crazy jealousy is making me sick. Teresa slept with Mariano BEFORE the wedding while he slept with Paloma after. Plus even if she married him for his money , which we all know she did, she stll treats him right as a man , especially in the bedroom. So he can't have any complaints there. She has worked hard by his side for years now, so she's not a lazy freeloader.
As hot as he is that would drive me nuts.

Sharkbyte what's your take on this as a man?

Right now I am so looking forward to the fall of Aida, Oriana, Geno & Ruben. I would love it If all these revenge seekers who have nothing better to do than think about Teresa would loose all their money on Luna. Then all have to live in the hood !

The only person I really care about is Martin, glad he got out of town and hope he is having a wonderful time in Paris!

Elle - I can't completely relate to Arturo's situation as it stands today. It's complicated; there are a lot of factors to simultaneously consider and I just don't know how I'd react to all of that.

Most likely, I wouldn't have let things get to this point in the first place. I would have divorced the little gold-digger by now, and I'd probably be in jail for beating the snot out of Mariano.

If I imagine myself actually staying with Teresa, that is, not divorcing her after finding out about her tryst with Mariano, then I'd probably be doing more than what Arturo is doing.

For example, I wouldn't just have Jacinto the driver keeping an eye on her. I'd hire a team of private investigators and give them carte blanche to plant surveillance devices. Teresa would have been busted again by now, and then I'd probably be in jail again for beating the crap out of Fernando. Then I'd definitely divorce Teresa.

I realize my version of events would not make a good Telenovela. Although, lots of guys would watch my version as I would make sure it contained plenty of explosions, fire, and blood. And there would be special themes, like Bikini Tuesdays, Lingerie Wednesdays, Cleavage Thursdays, and much, much, more!

:^)

Sharkbyte! OY!!! You're right. Your scenario is much more realistic, but not for prime time TN Land. Still LOL!!

You make a good point, Sharkbyte, in reminding us about Juana's reaction to Jughead's explanation for giving La Odiosa the 'goods' on Teresa.

All along, I kept thinking that this would be the moment that 'I-don't-wanna-Juana' would see the light about Buttberto. In fact, I was expecting a major explosion because Buttberto had 'harmed' her Teresa, but NOTHING...not one little thing.

I don't know what Juana wants (I don't think she does either). Until she met Hector the Director, Buttberto was one of the few (probably the only) available fish swimming in Juana's pond. Sure she found him to be a laughable goon, but I have somehow thought Juana had more interests than life in the vecindad.

Looks like I have missed the boat on that story. For now, I hope that Hector just doesn't 'settle' for any relationship. If Juana wants to 'settle' for Buttberto, then they deserve each other.

Susanita

I like cutberto. I dont know why people are so hard on this guy. yeah, he talks a lot but, he didnt do anything wrong really he never revealed mariano and teresa's secret, oriana overheard it. He only expresses his feelings about teresa, that she is a gold digger and that she treats her parents like crap, what is so bad about telling the truth and of course he is right. As far juana, they have great chemistry. she is herself when she is with cutberto. she can scream and laugh and cry and do all these normal things that she does not have with hector, who is nice and all but when she's around him she's always uptight, trying to say the right things. who wants to be in a relationship and never really feel that they cant be themselves?
I love the new mariano, its about time ! i also love the game that aida, geno, ruben and oriana are playing with teresita because what she is doing to luisa is beyond cruel. why should their dirty deeds only be revealed and teresa's stay hidden. teresa always wants to expose everyone's laundry but wants to keep hers clean. i cant wait when luisa dumps her and sees her for who she is, just like aida and oriana and now aurora. again i'll say this, i dont know why she has any fans. I cant wait to see her fall. ruben is so right, teresa will be arturo's total destruction, financially and emotionally. she is so self centered and uh let me not say the word. i feel bad for arturo, poor fella, he has to pay for teresa's troubles. i just hope mariano and aurora can finally be together now.
fancy pants,

Elle, the situation with Arturo/Paloma/Teresa/Mariano isn't a legal matter; it's an emotional one.

Arturo boinked Paloma when he was blind drunk. He didn't know what he was doing at the moment. He fessed up the next day and he wasn't happy about what he'd done.

Teresa boinked Mariano the night before the wedding and intended to run off with him before the she would have been due at the church. The reason she didn't was because Arturo's wedding present to her arrived: an expensive car.

He committed adultery in a moment of weakness while she married him in bad faith after promising to elope with another man. She is in no position to judge him.

Just a heads up, check your local listings for Monday's episode. I saw a promo that said it going to come on at 7:00 pm instead of its usual time.

Hi everyone,

I've been reading your comments for a while and I must say I'm impressed with how much some of you seem to dislike Cutberto. In my opinion this guy has done nothing to deserve that. That he talks about Teresa's dirty deeds? So what? This bitch deserves it. He doesn't like her and with very good reasons-she's always been incredibly unfair to him.
As for Juana, I can totally see why she's so much in love with him. I mean the guy adores her. I doubt there is anything he wouldn't do for her. He's always been there, taking care of her, treating her tenderly and yes, she likes this "lightness" of his. I think she wouldn't be happy in a very "formal" relationship as the one Hector can offer her. Besides the chemistry between the two is amazing, she simply doesn't have that with the doctor.

Regarding the other characters, I really like Aurora very-very much. What a sweet, lovely girl. I hope she and Mariano can be together. I want Arturo to be happy too, away from the little whore Teresa. What a disgusting person she is! She deserves to end up completely ALONE!

YAY Cutberto Fan Club! Way to go, girls!

For my part, I have never perceived Juana as wanting "more" than a life in the vecindad. She seems very happy with her community, her adopted family, and her dressmaking. I've got nothing against Hector -- well, I didn't until he started butting into Maurora's business -- but you know, ya gotta have that spark. And he has been pretty dim-witted about seeing the signs of Juana's non-engagement.

Oh, and thanks, La Paloma, for the tip on Corazon Salvaje. I may get it on DVD.

Pirate Babe- Thanks for the reminder. Teresa is the only one of the prime time tns that will be on tomorrow, and it will be on at 7pm EST/6pm Central

Fancy Pants / Lisa - I don't have a problem with Crapberto. I just like making fun of him because he's a dense buffoonish dork, and because it's FUN!!

Lots of guys are dense buffoonish dorks; not me of course, I'm talking about other guys, however, Clunkberto seems nice enough.

I suppose I could imagine going out with him for an evening of Tequila shots and skirt chasing. He might make a good wing man - a dorky, dense, buffoonish wing man.

I think he's actually getting dumber. I don't remember all that neck-scratching from before. Maybe he's spending too much time with Johnny.

Regarding Hector-I truly like the guy very much. He's such a sweet, good, polite man. And I think Juana's behavior towards him is just plain wrong. He doesn't deserve to be kept in the dark like that. But he needs to find a woman who can appreciate the kind of relationship he has to offer-you know, he just wants a quiet life, I don't think passion or excitment interest him that much. Juana doesn't fit that bill in my opinion. I've always seen her as a woman who has a fair amount of "craziness" in her and I think she would be bored with him.

I also don't see why Juana and Cutberto wouldn't make a good marriage. Cutberto has shown that he actually *can* be serious and mature when he needs to. I could totally see him taking care of her or supporting her through hard times. I just could also see him kissing her on the floor, something Hector would never do and she seems to enjoy very much, lol!

UA, You have commented a few times about the PatPal and Arturo coupling when Arturo was drunk. You seem to imply that inebriation gives Arturo a pass for adultery. Do you really mean this?

Thanks to all the time are recappers have given us and I love all the fun comments!

AnonoOne

Maybe Cutberto will get a chance to shine in Zacatecas. It seems something big is going to go down there and it's his hometown.

Arturo gets a pass because it was a one-time thing he didn't mean to do. As I said before it's about intent more than it's about the letter of the law. While Teresa was within legal limits her intent was so much worse.

What Arturo should have done afterwards and should do now is stop drinking.

As I stated earlier, I have missed the boat on the Juana/Buttberto relationship. More than anything...just end it...in some form or fashion I'd like to see some resolution to this story line.

Susanita

Thanks for this great recap Frances. I am also proud of Mayra. She really has become a quite a strong woman and her forgiveness of Espe demonstrates that.

These revenge plots are disturbing and do seem like they will backfire on the perpetrators (not that I would be sad for them).

This is old but I seem to recall that Arturo was not going to tell Teresa about his night with Paloma.think she overheard him talking or something, so possibly it would still be his dirty little secret So which secret would have been worse... Arts or Tere's ???

What happened to Art's college professor job?

I don't dislike Culberto, he's fun & generous but not someone I would see a future with.

I do hate Oriana & Aida, I can't believe the time they waste thinking about Teresa! Oriana is old enough to know better, she has zero class or tact in my opinion. I dislike her more than even Ruben !!!

Oh, Shark Byte if you made a novela with Action, blood, explosions & lots of boobies my hubbie would finally start watching TN's with me !

BTW, I saw an ad on Uni for a new TN starting this week with Patricio Borghetti. Eaperanza de Something. Unfortunately, it's on at 2 p.m.

"a novela with action, blood, explosions & lots of boobies"

Sharkbye and Elle- Those exist. The are called narco-novelas and are mainly from Columbia. For the most part, they are well done, but they never end well, even for the innocent, and I reach my violence limit pretty quickly with them. One that you would enjoy Sharkbyte, that fulfills all the above requirements, is Munecas de la Mafia. It was on last year. But It was the second narco-novela I had watched back to back, and I was so disturbed at its end that I simply could not stomach another narco-novela by the time Reina del Sur came on, even though it had fabulous reviews.

Sharkbye- Just for you, the catchy, sexy intro to Munecas de la Mafia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Atshr36IHHc

Fantastic recap Frances!

Oh Fernando, you little traitor.

I don't like Cutberto, he is not a bad guy but he annoys me. He is a buffoon. Yeah, Teresa deserves to be found out but that doesn't mean that all the gossiping he does is right. He also tends to be all judgy with Juana which really drives me crazy because if he loves her so much then how can he think of her as an "interesada"? He should know her by now and that's not Juana (she has her own faults but that's not one of them). I also can't stand the way he makes fun of Héctor's weight.

About what Arturo did, yeah, it was bad but that has been dealt with before. Arturo spent months trying to make things right with Teresa and she got off on his guilt. Teresa can't bring up what he did with Paloma every time something she did is revealed. Maybe sleeping with Mariano the day before the wedding isn't as bad as doing it afterwards but if I found out my spouse did something like that I would be completely shattered. People can't turn off their feelings just because Teresa cheated only hours before making it legal, especially knowing she didn't love him back then and she was planning to ran off with the other guy. Plus, he also knows they have seen each other afterwards.

I don't think Arturo is planning to take his revenge on her anymore. He is just jealous and insecure about her feelings. And I think that's understandable.

I don't like Narco-novelas, there's something that really disgust me about them. I loved Capadocia seasons 1 and 2 (although I don't know if I'll watch season 3 without Ana de la Reguera) but that was mainly for the prison setting and the stories of the women in every episode.

Jarocha

I am in the Butbero camp. I think Juana loves him and she is more comfortable with him and the vecindad than she is in Hector's life. She wouldn't be happy with him. Besides Crapberto is way better looking than Hector ( I'm biased that way). Marriage isn't all about money.

I also think that what Ter did sleeping with Mariano the night before the wedding was worse than what Art did.it shows she didn't love him at all while his mistake was a result of feeling disillusioned with Ter and his marriage.

I truly hate Fer and he deserves everything Ter will dish out to him.

In the old days Ter would have been burned at the stake. She's a witch!

Jarocha- I hear you about the narco-novelas. Sometimes we complain about the fairytale quality of tns and think there should be more realism. For me, narco-novelas are an argument against that. I can only watch so many rapes, shootings, beatings, etc, before I've reached my mental/emotional limit. However, I can watch an unlimited number of "fairytales", and go to bed tranquilly.

Nobody said Cutberto is perfect but no character in the TN is. This makes them real people. I just don't think he deserves all the bashing he gets in here. As for Juana, I don't think he ever really believed she was after Hector's money. But she left him without telling him why while he could feel she still loved him. He was trying to figure out what the hell happened and had to consider all the possibilities. She shouldn't have kept her infertility problem from him for so long. It was just wrong.

Vivi: I know, I don't mind realism in telenovelas and crime and suspence type of stories. I've loved novelas like that from Argos and TV Azteca but narco-novelas go beyond that and into really sadistic territories.

Capadocia is a very well done series and I only have to watch 12 episodes a year. Same thing with Mujeres Asesinas and other similar type of stories: once a week and just a few episodes. With narco-novelas is one episode per night of pain and suffering and evilness of the narco world, that's too much. Especially given that I already have to hear about them on the news everyday.

Jarocha

" I don't think he ever really believed she was after Hector's money. "

I disagree, he kept saying Juana was only with Héctor for his money to everyone that would heard him: Juana, Teresa, Mariano, Oriana, etc. It was just tacky to badmouth her to so many people. Mariano told him everytime that Juana wasn't like that but he refused to listen and the main reason he accepted the job with Oriana was to have money and be able to compete with Héctor.

Juana made a mistake by not trust him with his secret but life is like that, nobody is perfect. I don't like what Juana is doing with Héctor but I doubt he is the type of person who'll go out to talk trash about Juana if they break up because that's not the type of guy Héctor is.

Jarocha

hi everyone, to come to cutberto's defense , I suppose he feels that juana is after hector's money because of teresa. teresa has never liked cutberto and he knows it and he also knows that she has such a big influence on poor juana, manipulates her really well, makes her think that she has her best intentions at heart. well in this case, she does care for juana ,that she has a good man, financial security and all of that but again it's what she wants, never what the other person wants. being with a nice rich man is what makes her happy, so she wants the same for beloved juana. cutberto knows that juana loves him but she is teresa's biggest defender, always supporting her actions, whether they are right or wrong, therefore cutberto passes wrong judgments not realizing that juana is brainwashed. Because of teresa, so many people has to suffer, i'll say this again, i dont know why she has any fans.
fancy pants,

what is so wrong about teresa getting what she wants ? men do it all the time. they play their little games with women, have them fall in love then dumps them at the end, so what is the big deal if she feels that she can get any men that she wants, i just love how she toys with them. she's intelligent, she calls the shots and i just love how she gives it to aida. Fernando is a dog and he is getting played and he doesnt even realize it. come on people, teresa is not that bad. she has done some good, like taking a bullet for her husband and she's the reason aurora is no longer in the dark about her mom. She also convinced mariano to go back to school, and somehow she helped out mayra with the whole ruben situation. she has flaws, yes i admit but she's not this monster that you people are making her out to be. Ser or no ser, she definitely is !

Anon 7:42, there have been many people here who saw value in Teresa's personality for the reasons that you mention. Where some are having difficulty is that Teresa is going after her husband's best friend, the fiancee of her SIL, a woman who has been a wonderful friend to her. It is hard to sanction that type of shenanigans!

what is so wrong about teresa getting what she wants ?
---------------------

LOL, for real?

What's wrong with it is Teresa is needlessly harming people to get what she wants. The irony is she would have had everything she wants had she gone about it the right way.

She treats her parents like crap. If you feel they are pieces of embarassing sh!t, keep it moving and don't come back to the vecindad ever.

She treats her only school friend Aurora like crap b/c she's resentful that Aurora grew up with the lifestyle she always wanted.

She treats Mariano like a dog or a toy. Fetch, Mariano, Fetch! Good boy! He wasn't giving her what she wanted when she wanted it so she tempted him into acting a fool, putting his professional reputation at risk and allowing him to be described as some deranged stalker who wouldn't leave Teresa alone when it was the other way around. That's not love.

She treats her husband like garbage, this man who would gladly give her anything she wants just to see her smile. She has lied to him, provoked him, tricked him, stolen from him and is currently cheating on him. That's not cool.

She is playing her sister in law, who has defended her butt many, many times, for a chump. Luisa is going to be devastated when the truth comes to light.

And it will never be enough. If she leaves Arturo and gets with Fernando for his money, it still won't be enough. She will have proven everyone right, that she's nothing more than a golddigging social climber who jumps from man to man for money. So she'll need more and more and more money to throw around to feel good about herself, and then someone with MORE money than Fernando will come along and she'll just dump him for that dude.

Running and stomping over people to get what you want is NEVER cool.

It's the lying, the lying, the constant lying. How can she be anyone's friend when she lies all the time?

Hi All,
I have a very crazy request... I am looking for a good image (screen shot) of the painting in Mariano's office. It has a lot of red and I think it is squares and circles or half-circles. If you have or can get an image, please let me know at:

red427cobra@gmail.com

I am trying to find a print of this painting to surprise a very good friend (She means a lot to me).
Thank you!
Brian
